🧐 Overview
Sermon Summary: In a world filled with anxiety and division, this sermon explores the Christmas message of 'Peace on Earth.' It argues that true peace isn't found in better circumstances but in a person: Jesus Christ, who came not just to calm our storms, but to end the war between humanity and God.
Big Idea: To experience Christ's peace personally and to boldly share it to others during this season. [00:31:38 ▶️ 📄]
Pastoral Analysis: This is a doctrinally sound topical sermon distinguishing between peace *with* God (justification through faith in Christ) and the peace *of* God (experiential). The core proposition is biblically faithful. However, the application is heavily weighted toward moral imperatives (what the believer must do), creating an 'Ephesus' dynamic of duty over affection. A significant point of caution arises from the pastor's public silencing of a congregation member, claiming a prophetic authority to regulate the gifts of the Spirit, which constitutes a claim to subjective, extra-biblical authority during worship.
Biblical Parallel(Archetype): Ephesus — The sermon is doctrinally sound on the nature of peace in Christ, but its high imperative load and focus on human action (duty) over divine affection suggests a church that has not forsaken truth, but may have left its 'first love'.
🧭 Biblical Alignment Dashboard
Overall Verdict: Biblically Sound
| Category | Status | Reasoning |
|---|---|---|
| Soteriology | ✅ PASS | The sermon correctly identifies that peace with God is achieved through justification by faith in Jesus Christ alone, citing Romans 5:1. It rightly frames salvation as a 'rescue mission' initiated by God. |
| Bibliology | ✅ PASS | Scripture is presented as the authoritative source of truth. The sermon reads from and references multiple passages to build its case. |
| Hermeneutic | ✅ PASS | The sermon is topical but remains safely grounded in the text. It correctly interprets Luke 2 and Romans 5 within their redemptive-historical context, identifying Christ as the fulfillment of the promise of peace. |
| Theology Proper | ✅ PASS | God is presented as sovereign, loving, and holy. The sermon affirms that God initiated salvation by sending His Son into a broken world, not to condemn it, but to save it. |
| Sacramentology | ⚪ N/A | Neither Communion nor Baptism was observed in the provided transcript. |
📖 How they Handle Scripture & Jesus
Primary Text: Luke 2:14 (Topical (Safe))
Scripture Saturation: Verses Read: 12 | Referenced: 7 | Alluded: 0
Passages Read Aloud:
Key References: Romans 8, John 14:27, Isaiah 9:2, Isaiah 9:6, Matthew 10:28, Luke 2:17, Judges (Allusion)
Christological Connection: Redemptive Trajectory: The sermon correctly identifies Christ as the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6) and the source of peace with God through justification (Romans 5:1). The connection is foundational, establishing Christ's birth as the necessary intervention for human brokenness.
🧱 Sermon Outline
- The Absence of Peace [00:31:10 ▶️ 📄] : The world is broken (families divided, nations angry, high stress/anxiety). Brokenness exists in creation, culture, families, and hearts due to sin.
- Sin Causes Brokenness [00:39:25 ▶️ 📄] : Sin breaks relationships with God, others, ourselves, and creation. Sin makes us broken, which is why Jesus came.
- Jesus is the Prince of Peace [00:40:13 ▶️ 📄] : Jesus stepped into a broken world as a rescue mission. Peace came as a person (Jesus), not a policy, feeling, or program. True peace comes from heaven, not earth or circumstances.
- Peace with God [00:53:17 ▶️ 📄] : The greatest peace Christ brought was peace with God, ending the war between God and man. This peace is received by surrendering to the Prince of Peace.
- Share the Peace (Be Peacemakers) [00:56:25 ▶️ 📄] : Believers are called to be peacemakers, not peacekeepers. This involves sharing the message of Jesus, showing compassion, and offering forgiveness.
🗝️ Key Topics & Themes
- Peace : The central theme, defined as a gift from Christ that calms the storm and conquers chaos.
- Brokenness : The state of the world, culture, and human heart caused by sin, which necessitated Christ's arrival.
- Forgiveness : A necessary action for believers to achieve peace in relationships and within their own hearts.
- Evangelism : The mandate to share the peace of Christ with a desperate world, especially during the Christmas season.
✅ Commendations
Theological Precision | Clear Distinction in the Doctrine of Peace
The sermon does an excellent job distinguishing between 'peace with God' (the objective reality of justification) and the 'peace of God' (the subjective experience of tranquility). This is a crucial distinction that grounds the Christian life in objective truth, not fleeting feelings.
Christology | Peace is a Person, Not a Policy
The repeated emphasis that peace came 'wrapped in swaddling clothes' and is a Person (the Prince of Peace) rather than a program, policy, or feeling is a strong, Christ-centered anchor for the entire message.
Pastoral Application | Diagnosis of Human Brokenness
The description of brokenness in creation, culture, families, and the human heart is relatable and accurately diagnoses the universal human condition as a result of sin, effectively creating the tension the Gospel resolves.
⚠️ Theological Concerns
🟠 Claim of Subjective Apostolic Authority
Root Cause: Neo-Montanism: This is the historical error of claiming new, continuing, or direct prophetic revelation that governs the church outside of the closed canon of Scripture. While likely unintentional, this action functionally places the pastor's immediate sense of order on par with authoritative revelation.
"Sister Stephanie, not right now... God, we thank you that the gifts of the Spirit are subject unto the prophet." [01:04:29 ▶️ 📄]
Correction: The authority of a pastor is ministerial, derived from the Word of God (2 Tim 4:2), not magisterial or prophetic. While 1 Corinthians 14:32 states the spirits of prophets are subject to prophets, this was instruction for those with the prophetic gift to maintain order, not a grant of authority for one individual to silence another based on personal judgment. The New Testament standard for church leadership is teaching and equipping, not issuing direct, extra-biblical commands during worship.
📝 Other Corrections & Notes
- The later that we retire in life, the shorter that we live. → Correction: While some sociological studies have found a correlation between early retirement and longevity for certain populations, this is not a universal, established fact. Stating it as an absolute is a factual oversimplification. (00:39:14 ▶️ 📄)
🧠 Questions for Reflection
Use these questions for personal study or small group discussion:
- The pastor said the world is 'broken' because of sin. Do you agree, and where do you see this brokenness most clearly in your own life or the world around you?
- The sermon claimed that true peace isn't an absence of problems, but the presence of a person—Jesus. What do you think about the idea that peace isn't something you find, but someone you know?
- According to the message, the biggest problem isn't our lack of peace with each other, but our lack of peace with God. Does this idea of being at 'war' with God make sense to you, and why would Jesus's life and death be the solution?

[00:00:47] Amen?
[00:00:48] I'm glad to know this is not my final destination, this is not the end of my life, but that there is a home and there is a weight of glory in heaven.
[00:00:56] I'm thankful for that.
[00:00:59] I'm looking forward to that.
[00:01:00] There's not nothing in this world that wants to keep me here.
[00:01:03] There's only pain, sorrow, troubles, but God has been good to us and I'm thankful for as many blessings in our life and I'm thankful for all the things.
[00:01:13] Christmas season is upon us.
[00:01:15] I think 26 days or so until Christmas is here.
[00:01:19] I feel like we just started 2025 and we're already finishing it up.
[00:01:24] I want us to read a scripture this morning.
[00:01:26] It comes out of Psalms 24.
[00:01:29] and the Bible says this that the earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof the world and they that dwell therein for he has founded it upon the seas he's established it upon the floods who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord and who will stand in his holy place he that hath clean hands and a pure heart who've not lifted up his soul in the vanity nor sworn deceitfully
[00:01:53] For he shall receive the blessing from the Lord, the unrighteousness from the God of his salvation.
[00:02:00] This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob.
[00:02:06] Lift up your heads, O ye gates,
[00:02:09] Be ye lift up, you everlasting doors, and the King of glory shall come in.
[00:02:15] Who is this King of glory?
[00:02:18] The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.
[00:02:22] Lift up your heads, O ye gates, even lift them up, you everlasting doors, and the King of glory shall come in.
[00:02:30] Who is this King of Glory?
[00:02:33] The Lord of Hosts.
[00:02:35] He is the King of Glory.
[00:02:38] Can we just give praise to the King of Glory this morning?
[00:02:42] Amen.
[00:02:44] Will you stand with me all over the house of the Lord?
[00:02:47] And I want us to go to God in prayer.
[00:02:49] And I want us just to pray and ask the Lord to be with us today in this service.
[00:02:53] I want to just say, this is His day.
[00:02:56] Everything that we do is about Him.
[00:02:58] Every song that we sing, every note that we strum, every thing that we do is for the glory of God.
[00:03:05] It's not for us, but it's for Him.
[00:03:07] And I pray today that when we leave this house, that not that I was pleased with the service, but that He was pleased with it.
[00:03:14] And so that puts individual responsibility upon us.
[00:03:18] It ain't, well, Pastor preached it good, but no, how did you respond today?
[00:03:22] How did you worship today?
[00:03:23] How did you open your heart?
[00:03:24] Well, they sang good today.
[00:03:26] No, how did you sing unto the Lord today?
[00:03:28] That's the question I want to ask.
[00:03:30] So let's lift up our hands, the holy hands, without wrath and doubt, clean hands and pure hearts, and let us pray.
[00:03:36] Father, we thank you today for all of your many blessings upon our life.
[00:03:41] We thank you God for the privilege of prayer and the privilege to be in your house to worship.
[00:03:46] So many are sick Lord in our church this morning and they're at home and Lord some are at the doctors.

[00:04:36] Fill this place with your presence.
[00:04:38] We're hungry for more of you, Lord, and we thank you for what you've done, what you're going to do, and how that you're working amongst us.
[00:04:46] In Jesus' name we pray, and everybody said amen.
[00:04:49] Give the Lord, come on, one more time, give him praise.
[00:04:57] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_05]:
Wanting a place to hide this weary soul This vagabond And I tried with all my might And I just can't really fight I'm slowly drifting A vagabond

[00:06:36] And as you keep it moving She will come again And now till I walk the streets of old I'll sing of how you saved my soul This wayward one I'll sing
[00:07:04] I thank the Master, I thank the Savior Because He healed my heart, He changed my day Forever free, I'm not the same I thank the Master, I thank the Savior I thank God
[00:07:35] I am free, I am free, I am free He lost another one, I am free
[00:07:45] I am free, I am free, I am free, I am free, I am free
[00:08:08] He turned me around He placed my feet on solid ground I thank the Master I thank the Savior Because He healed my heart He changed my name Forever free I'm not the same I thank the Master I thank the Savior I thank God
[00:08:39] Get up, get up, get up Get up out of that grave Get up, get up, get up
[00:08:49] Get up, get up, get up Get up out of that grave Get up, get up, get up Get up out of that grave Get up, get up, get up Get up out of that grave He picked me up He turned me around He placed my feet on solid ground I thank the Master I thank the Savior Because He healed my heart He changed my name Forever free
[00:09:17] I'm not the same, I thank the Master, I thank the Savior, I thank God Hallelujah!
[00:09:26] Yes!
[00:09:27] [SPEAKER UNKNOWN]:
Hallelujah!
[00:09:31] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_01]:
Praise the Lord!
[00:09:32] Hallelujah!
[00:09:34] Come on, we're a people that love the Lord this morning.
[00:09:36] Give Him a handclap of praise.
[00:09:39] Hallelujah!
[00:09:42] Thank you for being in the house of the Lord this morning.
[00:09:46] This morning I was thinking as I got out of bed we actually our alarm did not go off if anybody has ever experienced that and the panic that ensues especially when you got to be here early
[00:09:58] But I was thinking this morning when I got out of bed that the privilege and the honor it is to be able to get dressed, to take a hot shower, to have electricity to plug in that blow dryer, to go to the refrigerator and get a drink, to eat something from my kitchen, and to come to the house of the Lord to worship Him.
[00:10:20] Amen!
[00:10:21] Amen!
[00:10:22] I feel like sometimes we take such liberty in forgetting the goodness of God.
[00:10:30] Forgetting in His many blessings, Brother Michael, that He is always faithful, He is always good, and the blessings that we have are for no other reason than that we raise that hand in surrender of worship is because of His goodness.
[00:10:44] To make sure that our hearts and our posture always stays in line with Him.
[00:10:50] This morning I do have, I don't want to interrupt the worship or the Spirit of the Lord, but I do have a few things.
[00:10:57] If you will please go to Facebook, if you're on Facebook, and see all the wonderful things we're doing in December.
[00:11:03] The youth are getting together, the men are getting together, we have a ministry, the children are getting together for Christmas to just...
[00:11:13] To just get together and to bond, to have fun.
[00:11:15] We're having our church Christmas party this Saturday, ladies, at 5 o'clock.
[00:11:21] I'm trying not to take all of your night, so at 5 o'clock, please come.
[00:11:25] Let's do our Christmas gathering.
[00:11:27] It's going to be fun.
[00:11:28] And if you can, bring a funny pair of wrapped socks.
[00:11:34] We're going to do something phenomenal with it.
[00:11:36] But I do want you to tell me if you're coming because I like to provide a gift for everybody in attendance.
[00:11:43] You just need to bring those socks and just a little shareable snack.
[00:11:47] Amen?
[00:11:48] I'm thankful for what God is doing at Morrisville Church of God.
[00:11:51] He's doing great and mighty things.
[00:11:54] If we could just take a few seconds, ten seconds or more, and shake somebody's hand and hug somebody's neck and let them know that you are thankful they got out of bed this morning and came to the house of the Lord.
[00:12:07] Amen.
[00:12:34] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_05]:

[00:27:38] Amen.
[00:27:38] You may be seated all over the house of the Lord this morning.
[00:27:42] Amen.
[00:27:42] I want to ask our ushers to come and help us receive an offering.
[00:27:47] Thank you for giving.
[00:27:50] Thank you for making a difference in the hearts and lives of others.
[00:27:55] We've got a lot of things that we're going to do this Christmas.
[00:27:57] I'll encourage you to give.
[00:27:59] Sow seed.
[00:28:01] We're going to take our senior ladies out.
[00:28:04] We're going to bless some families.
[00:28:06] We're going to love on some people and say, well, I don't know what I can do.
[00:28:12] If you are faithful in your giving, God will bless you.
[00:28:16] And I'm thankful for that.
[00:28:18] Good to have Mary here this morning.
[00:28:20] Her and her family has gone through a great tragedy.
[00:28:23] And I just want us to love on her and just pray for her and her.
[00:28:28] I want us to go to the Lord in prayer.
[00:28:30] Father, bless this offering.
[00:28:31] Use it for your glory.
[00:28:33] Meet every need that we have.
[00:28:35] Father, we'll forever be grateful for all of your blessings.
[00:28:39] In Jesus' name, amen and amen.
[00:28:42] God bless you as you give to the Lord this morning.
[00:28:44] And grab your Bibles and turn with me to the book of Luke chapter 2 and Romans chapter 5 verse 1.
[00:28:52] You can put one finger there and the other one at the other one.
[00:28:56] If you don't, it'll be on the screen.
[00:28:58] I want to share with you this morning on Peace on Earth.
[00:29:03] I want to be sharing with you and again next several weeks on sharing our faith through the Christmas season and this morning I want to share about peace in people's hearts peace in the hearts of mankind and in our world I want you to stand and as we get ready to read the word one more time thank you for being here in the house of God remember those who are sick those who are unable to be here today because of sickness going on in their family those who are traveling and those who are out of town
[00:29:29] The Bible says in verse 14, Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace and goodwill toward men.
[00:29:42] We'll go to Romans.
[00:29:44] Romans chapter 5 verse 1 therefore being justified by faith let's read this together therefore being justified by faith we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ amen I didn't realize how precious peace was until you don't have it when you have it you thank God for it
[00:30:13] So I want us to pray.
[00:30:14] Father, help us to hear the voice of God today.
[00:30:17] Touch our lives, our souls, and our spirits.
[00:30:21] Bring peace into the storms.
[00:30:23] God, that we're walking through, comfort hearts.
[00:30:26] And Lord, we'll thank you and praise you that when we leave here, we know that we've been in your house.
[00:30:31] Bless your people today, oh God.
[00:30:33] Bless those who are watching us online.
[00:30:35] Let the Holy Spirit transform their hearts.
[00:30:38] Give them hope and a future during this season.
[00:30:42] In Jesus' name, amen.
[00:30:43] And everybody said amen.
[00:30:45] You may be seated all over the house of the Lord.
[00:30:48] Amen.
[00:30:49] You know, when I think about peace, peace in our hearts, peace in this time of the year, Christmas, Thanksgiving, these days are hard for people, and we've heard that, and we know that.
[00:30:59] We're very aware of that.
[00:31:03] Someone said to me the other day, the one thing that they wish that we could do, we can't do.
[00:31:07] And we understand that in this life you will have trouble and you will have tribulation.
[00:31:14] You're going to have trials.
[00:31:15] You're going to have adversity.
[00:31:17] But I come this morning to tell you that Jesus comes to bring peace to our hearts.
[00:31:23] Amen!
[00:31:24] Jesus comes to bring peace to this world and He brings it first to our hearts then He brings it to the lives of others and I want to share with you that we got to call the church and this is my call this morning
[00:31:38] To experience Christ's peace personally and to boldly share it to others during this season.
[00:31:46] We need to be able to tell others that Christ can bring peace to their life.
[00:31:50] That the bottle don't do it, that the woman don't do it, the man don't do it, the gifts don't do it.
[00:31:55] But Christ ultimately brings peace into our lives.
[00:31:59] Christmas is the season where we hear the word peace everywhere.
[00:32:02] It's printed on cards.
[00:32:04] It's on lights.
[00:32:05] It's on displays.
[00:32:06] It's advertised in stores.
[00:32:08] It's sung in carols.
[00:32:09] Peace on earth.
[00:32:10] But I want to be honest with you.
[00:32:12] When I look around, I don't see much peace on this earth.
[00:32:15] I look around and I don't see things are very peaceful.
[00:32:19] I see families are divided.
[00:32:21] I see nations are angry.
[00:32:23] People are stressed.
[00:32:24] They're full of anxiety.
[00:32:26] They're exhausted.
[00:32:28] And some even come to Christians with a smile on the outside.
[00:32:32] But the reality is,
[00:32:34] that they have a storm brewing on the inside and the Bible tells us this and into all the world the angels announced and all that was going on glory to God in the highest you know and he says and on earth peace and goodwill toward men this wasn't a slogan this was a promise and it wasn't just a promise it was a person
[00:33:00] Good will on earth.
[00:33:01] Peace, the Bible says.
[00:33:02] Peace on earth.
[00:33:04] And I think about that.
[00:33:05] Peace didn't come wrapped in paper.
[00:33:08] Peace didn't come wrapped in bows and ribbons.
[00:33:13] But peace come wrapped in swaddling clothes.
[00:33:16] Peace come wrapped in a manger.
[00:33:19] The world's broken peace.
[00:33:21] When the angels sang of peace, the world was not peaceful.
[00:33:24] You know, when they declared peace on earth,
[00:33:26] Rome ruled the earth with the iron fist.
[00:33:29] Violence was normal.
[00:33:31] The streets were crying because of the blood that was shed over the children that were killed.
[00:33:37] People lived under heavy taxation, fear and oppression.
[00:33:41] Families were divided spiritually and socially and economically.
[00:33:46] Not much has changed today.
[00:33:48] I'll be honest.
[00:33:49] I think stress levels are at an all-time high.
[00:33:52] In this world, I'll be honest, I think depression and anxiety is increasing.
[00:33:57] I look around, marriages are strained.
[00:34:00] Communities are polarized by their own political agendas and their own ideologies.
[00:34:07] People walk around smiling, but their souls are tired.
[00:34:11] they're wore out they're stretched out and the absence of peace is a sign of the absence of Christ ruling in our hearts can I just tell you this morning when we find that we have absence of peace I would say that Christ probably is not ruling in our hearts the way that he needs to be doing the world we live in is beautiful but it's deeply broken and if you don't need a theology degree to see it you don't have to you don't have to have some kind of
[00:34:37] Master's Degree in Christian Education.
[00:34:41] You can feel it.
[00:34:42] You can hear it.
[00:34:43] You can watch it unfold every day.
[00:34:45] There is brokenness in our creation.
[00:34:48] Romans chapter 8 says this, For we know that the whole earth groans and labors with birth pains.
[00:34:54] Even creation is groaning.
[00:34:57] Storms, fires, floods.
[00:34:59] and Earthquake.
[00:35:00] The earth itself is crying out.
[00:35:03] This is not how it's supposed to be.
[00:35:05] Did you know that?
[00:35:06] Even the earth knows that the world has become wicked and is crying out in pain.
[00:35:12] There's brokenness in culture.
[00:35:14] Turn on our news.
[00:35:15] Turn on your social media.
[00:35:17] Violence.
[00:35:17] Corruption, Division, Fear, Confusion, and Hatred.
[00:35:21] Society is loud.
[00:35:23] Society is angry.
[00:35:25] Society is exhausted.
[00:35:27] Right looks wrong and wrong looks right.
[00:35:30] And the more we're connected, but now we're the most we've ever been disconnected.
[00:35:35] Remember we used to have to go down the road and get on the pay phone and drop a quarter in it and the slogan was, you know, here's a quarter, call somebody, who cares?
[00:35:43] I don't know if y'all remember that but we used to have to stop on the side of the road and call people and talk to people because we didn't have cell phones and if you did it looked like you had the nuclear launch clothes for what was about to take place you carried a box around and yet now we're more connected than ever we have instant communication we know where everybody's at we know what they're doing how fast they're driving yet we're more disconnected than we've ever been before in our lives
[00:36:12] We look the wrong way.
[00:36:13] People are strolling for hours.
[00:36:15] They're searching for something deeper than entertainment.
[00:36:19] They're searching for meaning.
[00:36:20] We're watching the world click by faster and faster every day.
[00:36:25] But there's brokenness all around.
[00:36:27] Brokenness in our families.
[00:36:28] Be honest with you.
[00:36:30] The church is not without brokenness.
[00:36:32] People think, well, I get saved.
[00:36:34] I get my life together.
[00:36:35] That doesn't mean that brokenness does not come to the door of your house and knock on your life.
[00:36:41] Homes are meant to be safe havens.
[00:36:44] But many even have become battlegrounds.
[00:36:46] And marriages are strained.
[00:36:49] Parents feel overwhelmed.
[00:36:51] Children feel unseen.
[00:36:53] Siblings don't even speak to each other.
[00:36:55] Holiday gatherings remind us of wounds that we haven't healed from.
[00:36:59] When people show up, they show up with pain.
[00:37:02] And they show up with hurt.
[00:37:03] And somebody in your row is probably struggling with pain that they've never even told anybody.
[00:37:11] People walk around with hurt that they never even communicate.
[00:37:15] I saw of a story the other day of a soldier that was in Vietnam, served three tours, and he came home to be spit on, laughed at, and talked about.
[00:37:23] He never described what happened in war.
[00:37:26] He never told his family.
[00:37:27] They hurled insults at him.
[00:37:30] He had a couple of weeks to live.
[00:37:31] Somebody quilted him a flag
[00:37:34] The Lord said to the man that had the stars and the stripes on him, the older man sat there and wept for 30 minutes and cried and rubbed the blanket, the quilt and he said, y'all care that much about me and I thought about all of the years that that man carried the pain inside of him not sharing with the world the hurt that he walked through I want to tell you there is pain sitting in our pews that we've never told anybody but our brokenness doesn't just reside in our families it goes in our hearts
[00:38:04] The Bible says, My peace I give you not as the world gives you.
[00:38:10] The world, if the world could give you peace, let's be honest, if the world could write you a prescription for peace, you would have it already.
[00:38:19] The world cannot duplicate peace.
[00:38:22] We have more convenience, more technology, more comfort than any other generation.
[00:38:28] But we have less peace, less security, and less joy than we've ever had.
[00:38:34] We're a generation full of calendars but empty hearts.
[00:38:39] We accumulate possessions but we lack purpose.
[00:38:44] I want you to hear me this morning we're busy on the outside but we're broken on the inside and all the while we're going through this we've tried to find peace and we can't grab it we're anxious people today are anxious they're lonely they're overwhelmed they're hopeless and they're carrying wounds of our past they're afraid of failure they're afraid of missing it we hold our money and we hold it so dearly tightly because we think that we're not going to have any all the while missing out on the moments that we have
[00:39:13] I saw a quote the other day.
[00:39:14] The later that we retire in life, the shorter that we live.
[00:39:17] It's amazing to me that we look at all of the things that goes on in our life and yet the world isn't just broken.
[00:39:25] It isn't broken because God failed.
[00:39:28] The world isn't broken.
[00:39:29] We're not broken because God has failed.
[00:39:32] It's broken because sin breaks what God builds.
[00:39:34] Sin destroys what God has put together.
[00:39:37] Why do you think the devil fights your home?
[00:39:39] Why do you think the devil fights your family?
[00:39:41] Why do you think the devil fights your marriage?
[00:39:44] Because God built it.
[00:39:45] He established it.
[00:39:46] And this what?
[00:39:47] The enemy is going to come and attack you in those places of your life.
[00:39:52] Sin breaks.
[00:39:53] What does sin do?
[00:39:53] It breaks our relationship with God.
[00:39:56] Sin breaks our relationship with others.
[00:39:59] Sin breaks our relationship with ourselves and our relationship with creation.
[00:40:04] Sin just doesn't make us bad.
[00:40:06] Hear me.
[00:40:08] Sin makes us broken.
[00:40:11] Amen.
[00:40:13] And brokenness is why Jesus came.
[00:40:16] Hallelujah.
[00:40:19] The good news is this.
[00:40:21] Jesus steps in our brokenness.
[00:40:24] Hallelujah.
[00:40:25] The Bible says in Isaiah chapter 9 verse 2, And the people walking in darkness have seen a great light.
[00:40:32] Hallelujah.
[00:40:33] There is hope in Jesus Christ.
[00:40:37] Praise God.
[00:40:39] Jesus didn't wait for a perfect world He didn't wait for this perfect place to step in He stepped in a broken world He stepped in a world into a poor family That's the family He showed up in He stepped into a politically unstable world
[00:40:59] He stepped in a violent society He stepped in a sinful world and broken humanity He entered the mess because we couldn't get out of it on our own
[00:41:11] Amen.
[00:41:13] He entered into our life and then He didn't.
[00:41:16] He did it because we were stuck in it.
[00:41:19] And the manger wasn't polished.
[00:41:21] The stable wasn't sanitized.
[00:41:23] Bethlehem night wasn't peaceful.
[00:41:25] But the Savior came in the chaos.
[00:41:27] Why?
[00:41:28] To bring peace in the places that has never existed.
[00:41:32] Oh God, how do I want peace in places that has never existed?
[00:41:36] How do we want it in our families, our homes, our communities, in our nations?
[00:41:41] Step into our mess, oh God!
[00:41:43] Hallelujah!
[00:41:45] If God is saying, Hallelujah!
[00:41:48] If our world's broken, if our family's broken, if our heart's broken, if our life's broken, then guess what?
[00:41:54] Christmas is not a cute holiday.
[00:41:59] Amen!
[00:42:00] See, we have downplayed what Christmas really is.
[00:42:03] You know, we've made it less than what it was meant to be.
[00:42:06] Isn't it amazing every time the world or the church gets a hold of something and they want to de-escalate it and Christ wants us to exalt it?
[00:42:17] Christ came into this world not for a cute holiday, but He came into this world as a rescue mission.
[00:42:26] That was why He came.
[00:42:27] It's God saying, I see your brokenness.
[00:42:32] I see your cries.
[00:42:34] I see your tears.
[00:42:36] I know your pain.
[00:42:38] And I'm coming to save you.
[00:42:42] Hallelujah.
[00:42:43] Jesus came to bind the brokenhearted, to lift the fallen, to heal the hurting, to restore the lost, to save the sinner, to bring peace in the troubled hearts, to bring hope in the dark places, to make us whole where sin shattered, broke us, and destroyed our lives.
[00:43:01] Hallelujah.
[00:43:02] Before somebody can experience peace on earth, they must experience peace with God.
[00:43:10] Amen.
[00:43:12] People are constantly looking for peace in their environment.
[00:43:14] It will never happen if you do not have peace with God.
[00:43:19] Amen.
[00:43:20] We want to have peace with all of these things in our life.
[00:43:23] You can't have it if you don't have Christ.
[00:43:27] The Bible tells us that He is the Prince of Peace.
[00:43:31] He arrives.
[00:43:32] Isaiah prophesied he shall be called the Prince of Peace.
[00:43:38] When Jesus was born, peace entered into the world.
[00:43:42] It was not a concept or an idea.
[00:43:46] It was a King, Jesus.
[00:43:49] Notice the angel didn't say peace from men, but peace toward men.
[00:43:56] God reaches downward.
[00:43:58] The birth of Jesus was heaven's declaration.
[00:44:01] I'm not here to fight you.
[00:44:03] I am here to save you.
[00:44:07] You know, I had that un-ide, that crazy idea with God.
[00:44:10] I'd watch too many Looney Tunes cartoons and I'd see God in heaven with lightning bolts ready to bust me in the head all the time.
[00:44:17] Anybody ever saw that way of God?
[00:44:19] You felt that way of God?
[00:44:19] That God's just ready to kill me, strike me down dead, knock me in the floor.
[00:44:23] God did not come to fight us.
[00:44:28] He came to save us.
[00:44:31] Amen.
[00:44:32] Hallelujah!
[00:44:33] I'm thankful for that.
[00:44:34] I couldn't have fault the Lord.
[00:44:37] He did not come to take sides, but He came to take over.
[00:44:42] He did not come to bring temporary peace, but eternal peace.
[00:44:47] Hallelujah!
[00:44:49] Isaiah spoke the words hundreds of years before Christ came.
[00:44:52] He said, For unto us a child is born.
[00:44:57] He says, In His name shall be called.
[00:44:59] And then he says the Prince of Peace.
[00:45:03] Not a prince, not one of many, but the Prince of Peace.
[00:45:15] Amen?
[00:45:17] It's not shared.
[00:45:22] Buddha don't get to share this title.
[00:45:26] Muhammad doesn't get to share this title.
[00:45:28] Scientology doesn't get to share this title.
[00:45:32] Science doesn't get to share this title.
[00:45:34] Jesus is the one and only, the Prince of Peace.
[00:45:39] It is Him that brings peace into our lives.
[00:45:44] Hallelujah!
[00:45:46] I think He didn't come to talk about peace.
[00:45:48] Hallelujah.
[00:45:50] He came to create peace.
[00:45:52] He came to a world that was void of peace and brought peace and a world that had forgot even what peace was like.
[00:45:59] Peace arrived as a person, not as a feeling.
[00:46:01] Can I just be honest with you?
[00:46:02] When Jesus was born in Bethlehem, peace didn't come in as a policy.
[00:46:06] You know, we can make all the rules we want in Washington, but until it hits our homes and our lives, it ain't gonna make no difference.
[00:46:13] Amen we think boy we can elect this person we can put this person in office it's going to change anything let me tell you something there ain't nothing going to change in America it's going to keep getting worse it's going to keep getting more violent it's going to keep getting more vulgar it's going to keep getting more godless until God gets in the hearts of mankind and changes us that might have discouraged some of y'all because y'all might be big political people and think that that that policy is changing people policy changes no one
[00:46:42] Policy says criminals can't have guns, yet criminals are out here running and killing everybody.
[00:46:46] They don't care about what rules are out there.
[00:46:49] Who cares what policies and rules that we give and laws that we make?
[00:46:56] Mankind will continue to break laws until their heart has been changed by God.
[00:47:02] Man's heart is evil and peace reside.
[00:47:05] When he was born in Bethlehem, he came as a person.
[00:47:08] Peace wasn't wrapped in a program.
[00:47:10] Peace was not wrapped in some kind of agenda.
[00:47:13] But it was wrapped in swaddling clothes.
[00:47:15] The angels didn't announce an idea.
[00:47:17] They announced a savior of the world.
[00:47:20] That's why Luke declared glory to God in the highest.
[00:47:23] On earth peace and good will toward men because peace arrived that night.
[00:47:28] Not because circumstances had changed.
[00:47:30] Not because things had changed in the community and in the world.
[00:47:34] No, but Christ showed up and that's why peace was there.
[00:47:39] Hallelujah.
[00:47:41] Peace steps into our chaos.
[00:47:44] We paint the nativity, right?
[00:47:45] It's quiet, soft.
[00:47:46] We have a lot of nativities in our house.
[00:47:48] My wife loves nativities.
[00:47:49] We have nativities everywhere.
[00:47:52] Everywhere.
[00:47:54] I even made, I asked AI last night, I said, can you put on my phone, I said, can you put me at the Nativity as a shepherd?
[00:48:02] They put me as Joseph.
[00:48:03] I'm like, no, we don't want that picture.
[00:48:06] I sent it to mom.
[00:48:07] She's like, I don't know about that.
[00:48:10] Nativity's all in our house.
[00:48:12] They're beautiful.
[00:48:12] They're serene.
[00:48:13] They're quiet.
[00:48:13] They're precious.
[00:48:15] They sit there with their pretty, calm scene.
[00:48:20] They sit there in their muting.
[00:48:21] They sit there in their stoicness.
[00:48:25] Calm.
[00:48:26] Peaceful.
[00:48:28] Angels are on the top of the little houses.
[00:48:31] You got animals sitting there laying there being calm.
[00:48:37] You got shepherds just standing there.
[00:48:39] You got kings on their knees holding gifts.
[00:48:43] Stoic.
[00:48:44] It's very beautiful.
[00:48:47] Guess what?
[00:48:48] When Christ came to our world, it was anything but peaceful.
[00:48:53] It was political turmoil everywhere.
[00:48:58] It was oppression by the government.
[00:49:01] Taxation where they could not even pay Violent rulers, spiritual poverty, social division Broke into a chaotic world who peace showed up The prince of peace stepped out of the gloriousness of heaven And stepped into the brokenness of mankind
[00:49:19] The circumstances may not change, but I bring change in the hearts of man.
[00:49:28] He didn't wait for the world to clean up.
[00:49:30] He didn't wait for things to get better.
[00:49:31] He didn't wait for people to improve themselves.
[00:49:33] He entered into their mess directly.
[00:49:36] I hear people all the time say,
[00:49:37] Pastor, well, when I get my life together, I'll come to church.
[00:49:40] No, show up in your mess.
[00:49:42] Show up in your falling apart.
[00:49:44] Show up in your brokenness.
[00:49:46] I don't care if you was drunk last night.
[00:49:48] Just show up because Jesus will show up in your life.
[00:49:51] Hallelujah.
[00:49:54] Man, it bothers me when they think that somehow they can do it in themselves.
[00:49:58] There's nothing in you that can change you.
[00:50:02] Well, my life's a wreck.
[00:50:04] Good, God likes showing up in wrecks.
[00:50:08] Amen!
[00:50:09] He likes showing up where people's lives are broken.
[00:50:13] He came to a manger.
[00:50:15] It was full of dirt.
[00:50:17] Full of animals.
[00:50:18] And animals don't smell good.
[00:50:20] They had no Febreze stuck into the outlets.
[00:50:24] They had no Glade plug-ins.
[00:50:27] It was nasty.
[00:50:28] It was dirty.
[00:50:29] It was filthy.
[00:50:31] It wasn't where a child should have been born.
[00:50:34] But He didn't wait for people to improve themselves.
[00:50:37] He didn't wait for their environment to change.
[00:50:39] He didn't wait for their circumstances to get better.
[00:50:42] He showed up in the lowest of the low and spoke to the dirtiest of the dirty and said, There is a King that is born tonight in this place.
[00:50:51] Let me tell you, Jesus will show up in your life no matter how messed up it is.
[00:50:57] Peace comes from heaven and not earth.
[00:51:00] If we spend too much of our lives trying to create peace.
[00:51:04] Let's be honest.
[00:51:05] If I fix this, I'll have peace.
[00:51:06] No, you won't.
[00:51:08] If I get this job, or if I just get this job, things won't get better.
[00:51:12] Are you delusional?
[00:51:14] And then the loved one, boy, if I just marry this person, my life's going to get better.
[00:51:17] I'm like, no, it ain't.
[00:51:20] Or if I just had this baby.
[00:51:24] Are you lost your mind?
[00:51:28] You think things are going to get better because of something you can do?
[00:51:34] Nothing you can do is going to fix your heart and your life.
[00:51:40] If I can just keep everybody happy in the house.
[00:51:45] No, that's temporary.
[00:51:46] Happiness is based upon happenings.
[00:51:48] When things ain't happening, everybody gets not happy no more.
[00:51:53] It's fragile.
[00:51:55] Happiness collapses.
[00:51:56] Happiness drops under pressure.
[00:51:59] True peace does not come from your environment.
[00:52:05] True peace doesn't come from anybody you know.
[00:52:08] Except Jesus.
[00:52:11] Amen.
[00:52:13] True peace only comes from heaven.
[00:52:17] Thank God He does.
[00:52:19] It don't matter how much money you got.
[00:52:21] It don't matter what family you were born in.
[00:52:24] It don't matter how long you've been serving God.
[00:52:27] Listen to me.
[00:52:28] You may have just got on the bus this morning for serving Jesus or you might have been serving Him for the last 60 years.
[00:52:34] Guess what?
[00:52:35] We're all candidates of the Kingdom of God.
[00:52:38] He brings peace and you may have a lot of money.
[00:52:40] You may have no money.
[00:52:42] He said, I don't care about your financial status.
[00:52:44] All I care about is you.
[00:52:46] Hallelujah.
[00:52:48] Praise God!
[00:52:49] That's why Jesus said, My peace I give unto you.
[00:52:52] Not as the world gives.
[00:52:54] The world can give you a moment of calm, but Jesus gives you a Savior who calms the storm.
[00:53:01] The world can give you a break, but Jesus can bring a breakthrough in your life.
[00:53:05] The world can give you distraction, but Jesus gives us deliverance.
[00:53:11] The world offers peace that crumbles, but Jesus offers us peace that conquers.
[00:53:17] See, peace came with a mission.
[00:53:19] Understand me this morning.
[00:53:21] When the Prince of Peace arrived, his mission was not to soothe hearts, but it was to save souls.
[00:53:28] Before he calmed any storms, he calmed the war between God and man.
[00:53:35] Being justified, Romans chapter 5 verse 1, remember we just read it.
[00:53:38] Being justified by faith,
[00:53:42] We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
[00:53:48] The greatest peace He came to bring is peace with God.
[00:53:54] So Romans tells us that.
[00:53:56] Jesus brings peace to the world.
[00:53:58] He brings peace in the heart.
[00:54:00] Peace with God means the war between you and the Lord is over.
[00:54:04] Hallelujah.
[00:54:05] Means that your sins are forgiven.
[00:54:07] Praise God.
[00:54:09] Hallelujah.
[00:54:10] Listen, your identity is now in Christ and not in what you have done or who you think you are.
[00:54:17] Your enmity is settled.
[00:54:20] Your eternity.
[00:54:21] Hey, listen to me.
[00:54:22] He's got a place for you, prepared for you in heaven and in glory.
[00:54:26] You don't have to carry guilt.
[00:54:28] You don't have to carry shame.
[00:54:29] You don't got to carry fear.
[00:54:31] Let me tell you, what can man do to us?
[00:54:33] Bible says you don't need to fear man that can only destroy the body, but you need to fear God that can destroy the body and the soul.
[00:54:39] Let me tell you, if you've given your life to Christ, man can't take nothing from you except give you your price in heaven.
[00:54:46] Glory to God.
[00:54:47] What's the worst thing that can happen to you is go see Jesus?
[00:54:53] Hallelujah!
[00:54:54] You get peace by surrendering the peace to the Prince.
[00:54:59] You don't get peace by trying harder.
[00:55:00] I'll be honest, I think that frustrates us more.
[00:55:03] The more we try, the more we try to create peace.
[00:55:07] You don't get peace by avoiding problems.
[00:55:09] I know people that's got like the ostriches or whatever, they just stick their head in the ground.
[00:55:14] It'll go away if I just stop.
[00:55:15] No it won't.
[00:55:17] Just because you're avoiding it doesn't mean that it's going to get better.
[00:55:21] Hey man, you don't get peace from money.
[00:55:25] Money don't fix your life.
[00:55:27] Relationships don't bring peace.
[00:55:30] If success brought peace, we would see on the stage of all of these artists and movie stars whose lives would be perfect.
[00:55:42] They've got all the money and all the fame and all the success that the world could offer.
[00:55:46] Yet their lives are a wreck because they don't offer.
[00:55:52] It can't.
[00:55:53] So how do we do it?
[00:55:55] We surrender our lives to Christ.
[00:55:59] When Christ becomes a throne of our heart, He brings a peace that the world cannot give.
[00:56:05] And can I tell you something?
[00:56:06] It's a peace that the world cannot steal.
[00:56:10] Amen.
[00:56:12] When Christ comes, let me say that again because some of you will need to hear that.
[00:56:15] When Christ comes, He gives you a peace that the world cannot give and He gives you a peace that the world cannot steal in your life.
[00:56:24] So how do you do that?
[00:56:25] Share the peace.
[00:56:27] Now you've got to share the peace that you've received.
[00:56:30] I think it's important to tell others about Christ.
[00:56:33] The shepherds heard the message and immediately shared it.
[00:56:36] Luke chapter 2 verse 17, They made known abroad the saying which was told concerning them the child.
[00:56:42] Why?
[00:56:43] Because peace is not only something you receive, but peace is something you pass on.
[00:56:51] This Christmas God calls us to be peacemakers.
[00:56:56] Not peace keepers.
[00:56:57] So we had the difference.
[00:56:58] We had this idea, this conflict of peace keeping and peace making.
[00:57:03] Peace keeping is just trying to keep the peace.
[00:57:05] Peace makers, peace keepers avoid conflict.
[00:57:09] But peace makers bring Jesus into conflict.
[00:57:13] I need Christ to show up in this conflict.
[00:57:16] I need Christ to show up in this battle that I'm dealing with.
[00:57:20] This war that I'm going through.
[00:57:22] I don't need somebody to appease me.
[00:57:26] I need God to fix me.
[00:57:27] Hallelujah.
[00:57:29] So peacemakers bring Jesus into the conflict.
[00:57:34] So what are we supposed to do?
[00:57:35] We're supposed to be like the shepherds.
[00:57:36] We've got to go tell the world about the peacemaker.
[00:57:41] Jesus Christ how do we share this message number one we got to share it you got to share the message of Jesus how do we do that well I don't I'm not very good at can I just tell you if you don't know let me give you very simple I like to invite you to my church it is Mooresville Church of God 520 Brawley Avenue Mooresville North Carolina okay wow that's all you gotta do I want to invite you to church
[00:58:11] I want to set it up.
[00:58:13] I know you've been struggling.
[00:58:14] Come to church.
[00:58:16] Let me tell you, we take our whole time and we sing songs to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.
[00:58:24] We preach messages of hope and strength and challenge that changes our hearts and our lives.
[00:58:29] Come, and I'll be honest with you, you'll find hope and you'll find strength and you'll find peace in the house of God.
[00:58:34] I'm going to tell you something, if you can't say that about your church, then you need to go find another church.
[00:58:38] But I want to be honest with you.
[00:58:40] I believe that we lift up Jesus Christ.
[00:58:42] I believe that whether I'm preaching, Travis' mom, Jeff, whoever, Kevin is, the glory of Jesus is being lifted up.
[00:58:49] He's being declared.
[00:58:50] He's being testified.
[00:58:51] Whether it's in a Sunday school class, whether it's in a children's class, we're telling people that Jesus is the answer.
[00:58:57] Hallelujah.
[00:58:59] Tell somebody, Jesus is the answer.
[00:59:04] Share your testimony.
[00:59:06] Gosh, I was a wreck.
[00:59:08] But Christ saved me.
[00:59:10] I was so far from God.
[00:59:11] I hated God.
[00:59:13] I didn't want anything to do with God.
[00:59:15] But God found me in my mess and He loved me and He wrapped His arms around me and He changed me and turned me around.
[00:59:23] I sat and talked with a pastor a couple of weeks ago at Revival.
[00:59:27] He's this pastor.
[00:59:27] He just retired from South Lenore and he was sharing with me about his life previous to Christ.
[00:59:33] And I never would have imagined, thought a million years that this would have been this man.
[00:59:37] He said, preacher, you don't know who I was.
[00:59:39] He said, I was a hippie.
[00:59:41] He said, I rode a Harley Davidson.
[00:59:43] And he said, I had a 44 Magnum on my side.
[00:59:46] And I did all the things that the world could offer.
[00:59:49] And I was sinful and I was ungodly.
[00:59:51] And I was a mess.
[00:59:52] I was everything that life could have thrown at me.
[00:59:55] He said, but God got a hold of me.
[00:59:57] When my mom invited me to come to church.
[00:59:59] And I said, I heard a message about Jesus.
[01:00:02] And I came to that old altar.
[01:00:03] And I gave my life to Christ.
[01:00:05] I want to tell you I don't know what your story is maybe you rode a motorcycle with a gun on your side maybe you was a vile evil person but let me tell you God can save you and you need to tell others that Christ can still save hallelujah I loved it I said brother I never guessed that from you he said you just don't know how far God can bring us from I said well it encourages me hearing that because there may be some
[01:00:36] There may be some that say you're unredeemable.
[01:00:40] There may be some that say you're unlovable.
[01:00:43] But God loves us all.
[01:00:46] Hallelujah.
[01:00:47] You may be unredeemable for your mom and your dad and your husband and your wife, but you're not unredeemable to Christ.
[01:00:53] Christ died for you that you might have life and heaven.
[01:00:57] And if you've experienced that, tell the world what Jesus has done in your life.
[01:01:02] Christmas is the easiest time to share our faith.
[01:01:06] It's the easiest time.
[01:01:07] Hey, are you having a great Christmas?
[01:01:08] Man, it's amazing!
[01:01:09] Jesus came to this world and I love it every minute because He saved us.
[01:01:15] Emmanuel, God, with us.
[01:01:18] Hallelujah.
[01:01:19] Easy.
[01:01:19] It's easy.
[01:01:20] Everywhere you go you see Christmas lights.
[01:01:22] Everywhere you go you see Christmas stuff.
[01:01:24] Tell somebody about peace.
[01:01:26] Wow, Jesus brought peace into my life.
[01:01:29] Peace.
[01:01:29] This is a wonderful season of peace.
[01:01:31] He found peace.
[01:01:33] I found peace.
[01:01:33] Christmas is a time people are open to hear about faith at Christmas.
[01:01:39] I believe they are.
[01:01:41] Because you know what?
[01:01:41] They've done stood out at Target at 3 o'clock in the morning trying to get a $100 gift card in a bag.
[01:01:47] Maybe he was out there, I don't know.
[01:01:49] But listen, and it didn't satisfy them.
[01:01:52] And they filled their car houses full of presents and they're going to get up and they're going to open them on Christmas morning and they're still not going to be happy.
[01:02:02] And they're still, the wife's going to get that big old nice piece of jewelry and the husband's going to get this whatever gun, I don't know what you want.
[01:02:11] I don't know, are you going to have a big meal?
[01:02:14] But then after it's all said and done, there's still nothing that's changed.
[01:02:18] because Christmas will come and go but when Christ comes into your life He changes us.
[01:02:25] Let me tell you not only do you need to share compassion
[01:02:28] How do we deal with this Christmas season of sharing peace?
[01:02:30] Share compassion.
[01:02:31] Give somebody a meal.
[01:02:33] Take care of somebody.
[01:02:35] Give them a helping hand, a listening ear.
[01:02:37] Listen to what they're going through.
[01:02:39] Share forgiveness.
[01:02:40] I dare you to give a gift of forgiveness this season to offer somebody that has hurt you peace on earth.
[01:02:47] It begins with peace in our relationships.
[01:02:50] We will never have peace on earth if we can't forgive each other.
[01:02:55] Amen.
[01:02:55] Let me just start from the top.
[01:02:57] Husbands and wives, forgive each other.
[01:03:01] Mamas and daddies, forgive your children.
[01:03:05] Siblings, forgive each other.
[01:03:08] Children, forgive your parents.
[01:03:11] Brothers and sisters in the church, forgive each other.
[01:03:15] Forgive each other.
[01:03:16] If we want peace in this earth and we can't create peace within our own environment, how will it ever happen?
[01:03:22] Give a gift this year.
[01:03:23] I'll be honest with you.
[01:03:24] That'll be the best gift you give the whole year.
[01:03:27] Because telling somebody, you know what, I just want to let you know I forgive you and I love you.
[01:03:30] What are you forgiving me from?
[01:03:32] I just love you.
[01:03:33] I had something in my heart against you.
[01:03:38] Don't blame them.
[01:03:39] Blame you.
[01:03:39] I just had something in my heart that shouldn't have been there.
[01:03:43] Hey, man.
[01:03:45] Well, you all sorry, dog.
[01:03:46] I'm going to tell you why I'm forgiving you.
[01:03:47] Because you ain't nothing.
[01:03:48] No, that's not how you do it.
[01:03:53] I just want to let you know I forgive you and I need to do that because my heart's been kind of muddied and I need to get it right with God I need to let it go I took something the wrong way or I allowed something to pierce me the way that I shouldn't have pierced it and you know what that don't mean you got to go back home and go have dinner with them tomorrow night that means you just took the hook out of your own mouth and you said no I'm not going to do it listen to me this morning the Holy Spirit wants you to understand that God has a plan
[01:04:19] God has a purpose.
[01:04:20] God has a desire.
[01:04:21] God does not want us to allow anything in this life to hinder us from what His plan is in our life.
[01:04:29] Sister Stephanie, not right now.
[01:04:32] Not right now, Sister Stephanie.
[01:04:46] Listen to me.
[01:04:48] The Bible tells us that we've got to let this stuff go between each other.
[01:04:53] Listen, we've got to not allow things in our life to hinder us from the purpose that God has, from the plan that God has.
[01:05:04] Because the Bible says if we have unforgiveness in our heart toward our spouse, the Bible says God don't even forgive us of ours.
[01:05:11] So we've got to understand that.
[01:05:13] The Bible tells us that we need to share hope
[01:05:15] Listen to this.
[01:05:16] Ashley, come help me close.
[01:05:18] People need more than presence this season.
[01:05:22] People need the presence of Christ this season.
[01:05:27] Amen?
[01:05:28] The presence of Christ.
[01:05:31] We need the Lord to show up in a way that can only transform and change us.
[01:05:36] Not anything else, not anything else but to say, Lord, I want to bring Christ into this situation.
[01:05:43] I want to bring the Lord into this place.
[01:05:46] You might be the only one in the Bible that reads it this season.
[01:05:50] Maybe you need to crack your Bible and say, hey, since I got everybody together, can I open it up and say, hey, can I say, let me tell you the story about how peace came to this earth.
[01:06:01] God is with us.
[01:06:03] Peace takes care of us.
[01:06:05] The Bible says the angels declared it.
[01:06:07] The prophets foresaw it.
[01:06:09] The shepherds shared it.
[01:06:11] The Bible says the wise men sought it.
[01:06:14] Peace on earth begins with peace in our hearts.
[01:06:20] If you're here today and you don't have peace, let me tell you something.
[01:06:23] Jesus did not come to give us a holiday.
[01:06:27] Amen?
[01:06:27] He came to give us a new life.
[01:06:32] Hallelujah.
[01:06:33] Can somebody just say, thank you Jesus right there.
[01:06:36] He didn't come to give me a day off work.
[01:06:37] He came to give me a new life.
[01:06:41] It is His love and it is His mercy and grace.
[01:06:45] Let Him rule your heart.
[01:06:48] Let His peace fill your life.
[01:06:51] Then go share His peace with a desperate world.
[01:06:56] This is what I've learned in my life.
[01:06:57] If you need peace with God, come and surrender your hearts with Jesus.
[01:07:03] If you need peace with God, say, God, I give you my heart and I give you my life.
[01:07:10] I trust you, Father, in what you're doing and I surrender my past and my present and my future to you.
[01:07:19] Give them your heart.
[01:07:22] Peace.
[01:07:23] We need peace in our situations.
[01:07:26] Can I be honest with you?
[01:07:27] There's things in our life that we need God to show up in.
[01:07:31] And when He shows up, He brings peace into the situation.
[01:07:37] It changes the environment.
[01:07:39] It changes the atmosphere.
[01:07:42] Peace.
[01:07:44] I need peace to show up in decisions that I have to make.
[01:07:46] I need peace, the Prince of Peace, to show up in encounters that I have.
[01:07:52] God, I need the Prince of Peace to show up in my life.
[01:07:56] And I'll be honest with you, if you feel the call to share His peace with others, ask God for the courage to do it.
[01:08:05] You know, I've never met anybody that says, I'm looking for ministering.
[01:08:10] that really always wants to find a ministry because somebody that wants to do something for the Lord is going to find someplace to do it.
[01:08:17] I just believe that.
[01:08:19] You're going to say, man, I've got to find somebody to tell.
[01:08:20] I've got to tell the waitress.
[01:08:21] I've got to go to the mission.
[01:08:22] I've got to go here.
[01:08:23] I've got to go there.
[01:08:24] I've got to do this.
[01:08:25] I've just got to share it.
[01:08:26] I've got something inside of me that I can't stop it.
[01:08:28] I've got to do it.
[01:08:29] I've got to tell somebody about Jesus.
[01:08:32] I'm going to find a nursing home.
[01:08:34] I'm going to find a prison.
[01:08:35] I'm going to find a radio.
[01:08:36] I'm going to find a street corner.
[01:08:38] I was passing through the town the other day and this guy was out there preaching on the street corner.
[01:08:41] I said, look at that guy.
[01:08:42] I said, he's out there preaching.
[01:08:43] He's got something in him.
[01:08:44] He's just got to tell it.
[01:08:47] I said, I ain't going to throw rocks at him.
[01:08:48] He's just out there telling it.
[01:08:49] He's just got to tell people about Jesus.
[01:08:52] He's got it in him.
[01:08:53] He's got a fire that's got to tell people about Christ.
[01:08:56] Let me tell you, when you realize that people are dying without Christ and their families are tore up and there's peace that's absent, you want peace.
[01:09:06] You want peace more than you've ever wanted in your life.
[01:09:09] Will you stand all over this place?
[01:09:10] Father, we just love you right now, Holy Spirit.
[01:09:15] Holy Spirit, we thank you.
[01:09:16] We thank you for order.
[01:09:22] God, we thank you that the gifts of the Spirit are subject unto the prophet.
[01:09:28] Thank you, Lord, that your word tells us how to go and share this message to the people close to us, to people far away, to people really, really far away, to all the world must hear the message of Christ.
[01:09:46] And I thank you today, God, that there's a peace that passes all understanding.
[01:09:52] Father, I love you today, Lord.
[01:09:55] Can you lift your hands up right now if you've received peace in your life before?
[01:10:00] Father, I thank you, Holy Spirit, for what you have done and what you are doing.
[01:10:05] I praise you, God, for your peace to be able to share with others, your peace that you fill our life.
[01:10:11] Listen, this season, we don't need the absence of it.
[01:10:13] We don't need to just sing about it.
[01:10:15] We just don't need to read about it.
[01:10:16] We need to possess it in our souls.
[01:10:19] Right now, would you just lift those hands?
[01:10:20] Father, we just love you.
[01:10:23] Come on, right now, we just love You.
[01:10:26] You are worthy.
[01:10:28] You are worthy.
[01:10:31] Father, You are worthy of all.
[01:10:34] You are a peace that comes into our life.
[01:10:37] The storms that may be raging around us, You calm them, God.
[01:10:42] The storms that are going on in our life, we thank You, God, that You speak to the winds and the waves and bring peace.
[01:10:52] Father, I thank you, Holy Spirit, for what you're doing and how that you're working and how that you're moving Jesus.
[01:10:59] Hallelujah right now, Father.
[01:11:01] Right now, maybe if you've got some things in your family that you say, God, I need peace with.
[01:11:05] Maybe there's some hurt and some unforgiveness in your family, some things that's been going on.
[01:11:09] You just need God to say, God, I need some peace in this place in my life.
[01:11:13] Will you raise that hand and say, Lord, I'm ready for it.
[01:11:16] I'm ready for marriage.
