The Danger of Political Idolatry: A Critique of End-Time Speculation

This sermon fails to present the biblical Gospel, omitting the necessity of Christ's atoning sacrifice for salvation. Instead, it conflates the Kingdom of God with modern political entities, specifically the state of Israel, and engages in partisan rhetoric. The teaching is fundamentally compromised, replacing spiritual redemption with political alarmism and moralistic self-help.

❓ What do these grades mean?
🔍 Biblical Discernment: The 7 Church Parallels
The Faithful Parallels Smyrna • Philadelphia
Teaching that parallels the churches that endure suffering with true spiritual riches (Rev 2:9) and keep the Word of Christ without denial despite having "little strength" (Rev 3:8).
The Cold Orthodox Parallel Ephesus
Teaching that upholds doctrinal precision yet parallels the loss of the "first love"—the vital, motivating power of the Gospel (Rev 2:4).
The Compromised Parallel Pergamum
Teaching that parallels churches tolerating the "doctrine of Balaam" through cultural accommodation (Rev 2:14), characterized by weak boundaries, sloppy theology, and worldly compromise.
The Corrupted & Dead Parallels Thyatira • Sardis • Laodicea
Teaching that parallels churches with active heresy, synergism, therapeutic deism, or dead orthodoxy (Rev 2:20, Rev 3:1, Rev 3:17). These represent systemic, fundamental errors that corrupt the Gospel.
Why strictly "Mark & Avoid"?
We do not issue this rating to attack the speaker, but to protect the listener. This ministry's overall teaching trend consistently deviates from sound doctrine. As per Romans 16:17, we identify these patterns so believers can guard their hearts.

🧐 Overview

Theological Verdict & Summary

Sermon Summary: A critical examination of a sermon that prioritizes modern geopolitical events and political advocacy over the core message of the Gospel, revealing significant theological errors in eschatology and soteriology.

Pastoral Analysis: This sermon fails to present the biblical Gospel, omitting the necessity of Christ's atoning sacrifice for salvation. Instead, it conflates the Kingdom of God with modern political entities, specifically the state of Israel, and engages in partisan rhetoric. The teaching is fundamentally compromised, replacing spiritual redemption with political alarmism and moralistic self-help.

Biblical Parallel (Archetype): Laodicea — The sermon exhibits the characteristics of the Laodicean church: a self-centered, lukewarm preaching style characterized by severe Anthropocentrism and the Social Gospel. The message replaces the core Gospel of Christ's atoning work with a focus on geopolitical power, political advocacy, and moralistic warnings, resulting in a presentation that is spiritually dead and devoid of the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Big Idea: The current generation is the terminal generation approaching Armageddon, evidenced by ten prophetic signs, and replacement theology is a false doctrine that contradicts God's eternal covenant with Israel. [00:57:18 ▶️ 📄]

"I tell the truth in Christ. I am not lying. My conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Spirit. Verse one tells you how emphatic Paul is about what he's getting ready to write. He's saying it in the most authentic and sincere way he can. He's saying with my hand on the Bible and 10 toes down, scouts, honor, whatever pledge you want to make, he is saying this is my solemn oath that under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and his conscience also bearing witness that this is what he wants to let us know concerning Israel. That I have great sorrow and continual grief in my heart. Why is he sad? He's sad because Jews who are following the law have not received the same revelation he did when he was Saul of Tarsus and met Jesus on the road to Damascus. He's saying, I wish they could experience my revelation. And yet he says, for I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my countrymen, according to the flesh, Who are Israelites? He's letting us know very clearly who he's talking about. To whom pertain? Now listen closely because these words are very important. This is verse four. To whom pertain the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the service of God, and the promises? Those are very key indicators. and then even further, just for confirmation, in verse five, he says, to whom are the fathers and according to the flesh, Christ came, who is over all the eternally blessed God. And he's standing before a jury and he says, we need to utilize good evidence to be able to prove our point. And that's an important thing to consider whenever you meet people who want to make the arguments of replacement theology. God has replaced Israel. No, he hasn't. Well, how do you know that? Use the Bible to prove it. Israel doesn't own the land. Yes, they do. How do you know that? Use the Bible to prove it. The church has replaced the Jews. No, they haven't. How do you know that? Use the Bible to prove it. And so Paul making this statement, they are not all Israel who say they are Israel. He's getting ready to use the Bible to give us evidence to prove what he says. He says, nor are they the children because they are the seed of Abraham, but in Isaac, your seed shall be called. One of the things that replacement theologians want to argue about, Well, Abraham had two sons. He had Ishmael and he had Isaac. If God's blessings are on the seed of Abraham, [Genesis 12](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Genesis+12&version=KJV), if God's blessings are on the seed of Abraham, why isn't Ishmael a part of the covenant? Because God didn't choose Ishmael. God chose Isaac. And Paul says so according to Scripture. And then in verse 8, he says, that is those who are the children of the flesh, meaning literal descendants of Abraham. These are not the children of God, but the children of the promise, meaning those who come from Abraham and Isaac, not Abraham and"

🧭 Biblical Alignment Dashboard

Overall Verdict: Fundamentally in Error

CategoryStatusReasoning
Gospel Presentation ❌ FAIL The Gospel Engine is not intact. The sermon completely omits the biblical gospel of salvation, lacking any substantive teaching on penal substitutionary atonement, human total depravity, or monergistic regeneration. It focuses on eschatological signs and political advocacy instead.
Soteriology ❌ FAIL The sermon omits the core doctrine of salvation by grace through faith, replacing it with a focus on prophetic knowledge and political alignment.
Bibliology ❌ FAIL The speaker explicitly excludes the Church from the application of Old Testament prophecies (Daniel), violating the unity of Scripture and the New Testament's hermeneutical approach to the Old Testament.
Hermeneutic ❌ FAIL The hermeneutic is dispensationalist and literalist to the point of error, separating ethnic Israel from the spiritual promises fulfilled in Christ and excluding the Church from prophetic instruction.
Theology Proper ⚠️ WEAK While God's sovereignty is acknowledged, the focus is distorted towards geopolitical outcomes rather than the redemptive work of Christ.
Sacramentology ⚪ N/A No sacramental errors detected, but the sermon lacks any reference to the sacraments.
Confessional Depth ❌ SHALLOW The sermon relies on sensationalism and political commentary rather than deep, Christ-centered theological exposition.

⚙️ The Core Gospel Framework

What is this? This section checks if the sermon contains the essential building blocks of the Gospel. We look for explicit, substantive mentions of God's holy standard, human inability, and Christ's finished work on the cross.

Why it matters for the final verdict: A complete Gospel framework protects a sermon from becoming man-centered. If a preacher gives commands for good behavior but leaves out the grace and atonement of the Gospel, it often results in a 🔴 Critical or 🟠 Major error for Moralism (teaching human self-improvement rather than reliance on Christ). However, if these Gospel elements are missing simply because the pastor is preaching a highly focused, practical message to mature believers (e.g., instructions on biblical marriage), our system applies a "Safe Harbor" pardon, graciously reducing the omission to a 🟡 Minor error.

The Law And Wrath:

"hands that shed innocent blood and the blood of a child in its mother's womb is innocent blood if there ever was innocent blood. That should never happen. God considers it murder." [01:11:50 ▶️ 📄]

Total Depravity And Inability: Not observed in the sermon.

Active Obedience Of Christ: Not observed in the sermon.

The Cross And Atonement:

"The first time he came, he was nailed to an old rugged cross." [01:01:14 ▶️ 📄]

⚠️ Theological Concerns

🔴 Critical Gospel Omission

Root Cause: Moralism

The Belief/Behavior: The speaker fails to present the biblical gospel of salvation, omitting any substantive teaching on penal substitutionary atonement, human total depravity, or monergistic regeneration. Instead, the message focuses on eschatological signs, political advocacy, and moral warnings.

Why It's Dangerous: This omission leaves the congregation without the essential knowledge of how to be saved, reducing Christianity to a system of political alignment and moral effort.

Biblical Correction: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

🔴 Critical Critical Eschatological Error (Modern Geopolitical Fulfillment)

Root Cause: Dispensationalism

"All of the land belongs to the Jewish people. Nothing America does will bring the judgment of God any faster or with more fury than to betray Israel and violate the covenant that God gave to Abraham for that promised land 3,500 years ago." [01:03:10 ▶️ 📄]

The Belief/Behavior: The speaker teaches that the modern geopolitical state of Israel directly fulfills biblical redemptive promises, assigning redemptive significance to contemporary political boundaries.

Why It's Dangerous: This violates the biblical truth that the Abrahamic covenant finds its ultimate fulfillment in Jesus Christ and His spiritual seed, the Church, rather than in a modern ethnic nation-state. It creates a false dichotomy between God's people and the Church.

Biblical Correction: And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. (Galatians 3:29)

🔴 Critical Critical Eschatological Error (Prophetic Sign of 1948)

Root Cause: Dispensationalism

"The third prophetic sign is the rebirth of Israel, May 15th, 1948. The most dramatic prophetic sign of the 20th century, that this is the terminal generation on the road to Armageddon." [01:20:52 ▶️ 📄]

The Belief/Behavior: The speaker identifies the rebirth of Israel in 1948 as a definitive prophetic sign of the terminal generation.

Why It's Dangerous: This reduces biblical prophecy to a cipher for modern news headlines, violating the principle that the timing of the end is determined solely by God's sovereign decree and the primary sign is the global preaching of the gospel. It fosters fear and speculation rather than faithful witness.

Biblical Correction: And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. (Matthew 24:14)

🔴 Critical Critical Hermeneutical Error (Exclusion of the Church from Daniel)

Root Cause: Dispensationalism

"The book of Daniel is to the Jews. It's not to the Christians. When you read the Bible, ask yourself, who wrote this? To whom is it written? And what's the message? The book of Daniel has nothing to do with the church. It has to do with the Jewish people." [01:08:33 ▶️ 📄]

The Belief/Behavior: The speaker explicitly excludes the Church from the theological application of Daniel's end-time prophecies, stating it has nothing to do with Christians.

Why It's Dangerous: This severs the progressive revelation that unites the Old and New Testaments, denying the Church its inheritance in the prophetic promises. It creates a false division between Israel and the Church.

Biblical Correction: Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. (1 Corinthians 10:11)

🟠 Major Partisan Rhetoric & Geopolitical Alarmism

Root Cause: Political Idolatry

"A fake satellite crossing across America, just like we allowed China to do in the Biden administration. How many of you remember that positively stupid activity? Allowing that to fly over our country." [01:19:02 ▶️ 📄]

The Belief/Behavior: The pastor engages in explicit partisan rhetoric and geopolitical alarmism by condemning the Biden administration's policy regarding a satellite, conflating political criticism with biblical prophecy.

Why It's Dangerous: This undermines the pulpit's authority and calls believers to a spirit of prayer and respect for governing authorities rather than partisan condemnation. It distracts from the Gospel with worldly politics.

Biblical Correction: I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and quiet life in all godliness and honesty. (1 Timothy 2:1-2)

[00:06:09] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_01]
[00:06:09] Well, one, to be patient. Be patient with us. Be patient with the process.
[00:06:14] You will, on Tuesday the 9th, you'll come in and register your kids, drop them off at the west concourse, that's at the west doors, and just be patient.
[00:06:25] 2,000 kids with 2,000 parents or, you know, double that if both parents come, yeah, just be patient, come in, listen to us, watch the signage, we're going to have a lot of signage out there to direct everybody where to go. Once you register your kids, then you're going to take
[00:06:45] them to their prospective areas and drop them off. And then you leave campus. Yes.

[00:06:51] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_13]
[00:06:51] Absolutely. Safety protocol is of the utmost importance. As a matter of fact, we've heard the term closed campus. And for those that may not be familiar with that term or what that means,

[00:07:03] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_01]
[00:07:03] could you explain that? Yes. So yeah, you'll be dropping off your children and then you're leaving campus if you have to pick them up for doctor's appointments or such that's absolutely there's a whole process for that you'll go back to the
[00:07:17] west campus west concourse and our runners will go get the child and bring them to you you're not allowed to be walking around our campus from 245 to 410 it is absolutely a closed campus that's our last rotation so we're not
[00:07:31] gonna allow any pickups after 2 45 you'll have to wait till 4 10 not coming up here for to have lunch with with your kiddo yeah we can't have people walking around our campus we got 2 000
[00:07:48] kids that we got to keep an eye on we're gonna have plenty of officers in each building to do that but yeah just keeping it safe for the kiddos mr ross we are confident that they're going to

[00:08:00] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_13]
[00:08:00] have a fabulous time with fun but they're also going to be safe and we want to ensure that the protocols are in place for that now speaking of fun you're providing an element of fun if you will
[00:08:14] because the theme of this is rescue vbs and there are some friends from the city coming with certain aspects to be able to highlight that that idea of rescue can you talk about that a

[00:08:28] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_01]
[00:08:28] Oh, yes, yes. I've reached out to the San Antonio Police Department, San Antonio Fire Department.
[00:08:33] They're going to bring some of their vehicles out here for the kiddos to take a look at.
[00:08:36] Some patrol cars, some SWAT vehicles, some fire trucks.
[00:08:42] So, yeah, we're going to have some things staged out here.

[00:36:10] and we need your help you see i'm just a kid and i know sometimes we can have too much fun but we need people like you to help lead keep us safe and enjoy vbs room this room is going to be
[00:36:29] full of energy, huge beach balls, epic worship, and even slime.
[00:36:34] I cannot wait for VBS, but we need group leaders like you to help make this happen.

[00:36:43] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_00]
[00:36:43] And this is where you come in.
[00:36:44] Each grade level needs a group leader just like you to come in and help and assist us.
[00:36:49] Rooms just like this gets filled with a bunch of kids just like me.

[00:36:55] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[00:36:55] Kids come from all over the city so they can hear the Word of God.
[00:36:58] There are many ways that you can serve different areas, And I want to let you know that you can make the biggest impact by becoming a group leader today.

[00:37:05] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_00]
[00:37:05] We're counting on you to make the best BVS ever.
[00:37:11] Sign up to volunteer today.

[00:37:23] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_10]
[00:37:23] Good morning and God bless you.
[00:37:26] You know, many of you have heard me ask for your services and volunteering.
[00:37:31] And it's one thing to not obey your pastor.
[00:37:34] But when three smiling, beautiful children look you in the eye and you turn them down, just saying, that's different.
[00:37:47] But God bless you. Good morning and welcome to Cornerstone Church. Those of you who are joining and watching us here online, we welcome you to the house of the Lord today. This morning there are 76 nations and all 50 states that are joining us today. So congregation, would you make those
[00:38:02] who are in our online audience welcome here this morning? As you saw in our video, we are beginning to prepare for our vacation Bible school that will be held here on June the 9th. And obviously
[00:38:16] volunteers are always such an integral part of what's happening during Vacation Bible School.
[00:38:22] Next Sunday morning, for those who are volunteering, there's going to be a training that takes place about where and what is necessary for your services that week during June the 9th, the 10th, and the 11th of our Vacation Bible School. And I want to tell each and every one of you how thankful
[00:38:37] we are for the service that you'll provide during that very special time, but also for families of children who are celebrating a graduation from high school. If your child graduated high school this year and is leaving for college next year, we want to recognize that achievement and we're
[00:38:53] going to do that next Sunday morning, June the 7th. All you have to do is contact the church and let us know of their name and the high school that they've graduated from and we'll be
[00:39:03] recognizing them in our 11 o'clock service next Sunday. Pastor Hagee and I will be presenting them with a Bible and signing that Bible for recognition of such an achievement, praying a prayer over them. And so if you'd like to, you can contact the church either through our website,
[00:39:19] sacornerstone.org, or you can contact us by calling this week and letting us know that you and your family are going to be a part of that special recognition service. Dad, one of the things that the Apostle Paul tells the church is that we are to pray for leaders and all who are
[00:39:35] in authority. And there are some significant things that are happening this week in the world that the body of Christ needs to be praying for our leadership about. What are those things?

[00:39:46] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_07]
[00:39:46] Absolutely. Our president right now is negotiating with Iranians trying to end this war.
[00:39:54] And we need to uphold him in prayer that this treaty is not a trap, but it is something that does bring peace. The people he's negotiating with are classic liars. That's their historic position. We want the truth, nothing but the truth, and a treaty that does bring peace.
[00:40:20] And I believe that the church in America owes it to our president to support him in prayer while he's negotiating this contract.
[00:40:32] And we're going to do that this morning.

[00:40:39] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_10]
[00:40:39] Amen.
[00:40:40] The way that we accomplish the mission of this ministry, taking all the gospel to all the world and to every generation, the way that we're able to achieve activities like Vacation Bible School and provide services through Cornerstone Christian Schools,
[00:40:53] the Sanctuary of Hope, and many other things is by the receiving of tithes and offerings.
[00:40:57] So I'm going to ask our ushers to take their positions and help us worship the Lord with our giving today.
[00:41:02] Those of you who are watching and joining online, you too can participate simply by going to sacornerstone.org or you can text us at 210-880-2300.
[00:41:14] Call us at 855-694-9653 or write to P.O. Box 34930, San Antonio, Texas, 78265.
[00:41:25] Pastor, would you pray over today's offering?

[00:41:26] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_07]
[00:41:26] Our most gracious Heavenly Father, we've gathered in the house of the Lord today, and first we bring to you the President of the United States as he's negotiating a peace treaty that will save lives if peace can be maintained. I pray, God, that you would give him the wisdom
[00:41:46] of Solomon, that all truth is manifested and every lie is exposed. Let us come out of this with something that is beneficial to America, the land of the free and the home of the brave.
[00:42:04] Right now, we pray for this offering for those who are in this audience and those who are watching television across America. We pray, Father, that it would be an abundance that we may carry the
[00:42:18] glorious gospel of Jesus Christ to the nations of the world. There is an answer for this generation, its holiness, its righteousness, its purity to combat the moral corruption that fills our streets and our cities. Let God arise and let his enemies be scattered. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

[00:42:43] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_13]
[00:42:43] We thank you for your praying and your giving. As you can see, God is using it to touch and impact the nations of the world. This is a segment in our program that we pray for the needs that have
[00:43:05] been represented on our prayer wall. So John in Alabama, we are praying for financial provision, the peace of god to sustain you and keep you we're praying for a camellia right now that healing would come over your body that every form of sickness would be eradicated by the power and
[00:43:24] the authority of jesus christ robert from florida we're praying healing over your body as well that the spirit of the lord would quicken your body to respond to the treatment that is happening and occurring in your life. Charlotte from Dallas, we're praying for protection. We're asking that
[00:43:42] angels of God would surround you and keep you and sustain you in all that you are doing.
[00:43:48] Billy from Wisconsin, pardon me, we're praying for the spirit of God to bless you in all that you are doing, that his hand would sustain you and keep you. So many prayer requests that are
[00:44:02] coming across. We thank you because we are confident that God responds to prayer and that he is able to meet every need. As we go back to service, be confident in knowing that the God that
[00:44:14] started the good work in you will not terminate it until it has been completed. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

[00:49:45] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_03]
[00:49:45] can we stand together we welcome those of you who are here and those who are joining us by

[00:54:21] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_07]
[00:54:21] television across America and around the world the message today is the end of the age the text is from Matthew the 24th chapter verses 3 12 and 14 the world is we know it is racing toward a
[00:54:38] horrible and tragic end. Recently, Time Magazine's cover read the story of thinking the unthinkable.
[00:54:47] The story stated that mankind is at the nuclear brink in a world bristling with nuclear weapons ready for the final battle for planet earth. The Bible clearly says heaven and earth shall pass away. Jesus said, when this gospel is preached to the ends of the earth, then shall the end come.
[00:55:10] Then shall the end come. The world as we know it will end. There will be a last church service.
[00:55:22] There will be a last sermon, a last prayer, a last soul won to Christ.
[00:55:30] The Bible prophecy tells us how the world will end, when it will end, where it will end.
[00:55:38] The question is, are you ready for it to end?
[00:55:43] Are you ready to face the Lord with your life?
[00:55:48] Read with me Matthew 24 and 3.
[00:55:51] And now, he's talking about Jesus, and now as he said on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately saying, tell us when shall these things be and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?
[00:56:07] Verse 12, and because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold, but he who endures to the end shall be saved.
[00:56:16] And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached to all the world as a witness to all the nations.
[00:56:25] And then the end will come.
[00:56:29] Let's pray.
[00:56:30] Heavenly Father, we gather here today to pray to the God who created heaven and earth.
[00:56:41] The God who knows the day and the hour in which this world as we know it will end.
[00:56:49] The Bible says, what shall it profit a man if he gains the world and loses his soul?
[00:56:54] So help us today to prepare for our last day on this earth, because that will be our first day in eternity that will never end.
[00:57:11] In Jesus' name, we pray and say amen.
[00:57:15] You may be seated.
[00:57:18] The signs of the time on the road to Armageddon are clearly marked in the scripture.
[00:57:24] If you listen closely, you can hear the thundering hoofbeats of the four horsemen of the apocalypse racing toward the battle of Armageddon and the end of the world as we know it.
[00:57:37] Napoleon Bonaparte saw Armageddon and he called it the most natural battlefield on the face of the earth.
[00:57:46] Get this picture in your mind The Bible says that human blood will flow on this battlefield to the bridle of a horse for 200 miles.
[00:57:58] It is here that the Antichrist and his armies will fight Jesus Christ and the armies which follow him from heaven to determine who is going to have final rule in Jerusalem for planet earth.
[00:58:11] John the Revelator describes the second coming vividly in the 19th chapter.
[00:58:17] He says, and I saw the heavens opened, and he that sat upon a white horse was called faithful and true, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
[00:58:28] His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns.
[00:58:34] Why?
[00:58:35] Because he is the king of all kings.
[00:58:38] He has a vesture dipped in blood, and his name is called the word of God.
[00:58:45] His name is Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
[00:58:49] Give him praise in this house.
[00:58:55] Make no mistake about it.
[00:58:57] Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is literally, physically, personally coming back to earth in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory to rule and reign for 1,000 years of perfect peace on this earth.
[00:59:13] That's going to happen.
[00:59:14] in spite of how screwed up politicians have left this world.
[00:59:21] He's going to make it a paradise for a thousand years.
[00:59:25] The first time Jesus came, he came as a baby in a manger wrapped in swaddling clothes.
[00:59:36] He was surrounded by sheep and donkeys.
[00:59:39] The next time he comes, he will be mounted on a milk white stallion surrounded by the armies, by the angels of God.
[00:59:48] The armies in heaven, which would be the church, would be coming with him as kings and priests and lord of lords.
[00:59:56] The first time he came, he was dragged before Pilate and Herod.
[01:00:01] They slapped him.
[01:00:02] They spit on him.
[01:00:04] They mocked him.
[01:00:05] They crowned him with a crown of thorns.
[01:00:08] His back was soaked in blood with 39 stripes for our healing.
[01:00:13] The next time he comes, however, he comes, Pilate and Herod are going to bow before him.
[01:00:21] Adolf Hitler will bow before him.
[01:00:24] The communist dictators are going to bow for him.
[01:00:28] Corrupt politicians are going to be dragged before Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and bow before him.
[01:00:36] Why?
[01:00:37] Because every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.
[01:00:46] Give him praise in the house.
[01:00:53] The first time he came, he wore a crown of thorns.
[01:00:55] The next time he comes, he will wear crown upon crowns.
[01:01:00] Why?
[01:01:01] Because he's the king of all kings and he is the Lord over all lords.
[01:01:08] Hallelujah to the Lamb of God.
[01:01:14] The first time he came, he was nailed to an old rugged cross.
[01:01:17] The next time he comes, he's going to sit on the throne of King David.
[01:01:22] He's going to set up his kingdom in the city of Jerusalem on the Temple Mount.
[01:01:27] And of his kingdom, there shall be no end.
[01:01:32] The lion is going to lay down with the lamb.
[01:01:35] He will rule and reign for a thousand years of perfect peace.
[01:01:39] Men will beat their swords into plowshares, the Bible said, and study war no more.
[01:01:45] Holiness unto God, the Bible says, will be written on the bridle of every horse.
[01:01:51] The lion will lay down with the lamb.
[01:01:54] Jesus, the Son of God, has come to earth.
[01:01:58] Shout for joy.
[01:01:59] He's in the house today.
[01:02:01] Hallelujah.
[01:02:02] Hallelujah. Today from the pages of God's word, I want to give you 10 prophetic signs that verify that we are the terminal generation. We are the generation that will see Armageddon. We are the generation that will see the battle for Jerusalem. We are the generation that will see the coming of
[01:02:25] Jesus Christ in the clouds of glory. Why the battle over the city of Jerusalem? Why? Because that battle is supernatural. Satan wants Jerusalem for his Messiah, the Antichrist, the chief son of Satan. That's what the Bible calls him. God Almighty promised King David that
[01:02:48] his seed would reign in Jerusalem forever. And that seed is Jesus Christ, the son of David.
[01:02:57] Jerusalem must never be divided.
[01:03:01] Joel 3 and 2 promises the judgment of God on any nation that includes America that divides his land.
[01:03:10] There is no two-state solution in the Bible.
[01:03:15] All of the land belongs to the Jewish people.
[01:03:18] Nothing America does will bring the judgment of God any faster or with more fury than to betray Israel and violate the covenant that God gave to Abraham for that promised land 3,500 years ago.
[01:03:39] People ask, well, why can't the Arabs and the Jewish people get together over the city of Jerusalem?
[01:03:47] Listen to this.
[01:03:48] The real reason is theology, not land, not money, not a two-state solution.
[01:03:55] Theology is the source of the problem.
[01:03:58] The majority of Arabs are radical Islamic fundamentalists and believe that Muhammad is the only prophet that they should obey, and that the Koran is absolute truth far surpassing the Bible.
[01:04:12] An infidel, be it a Christian or Jew, has one choice, to convert or to be beheaded.
[01:04:22] You find that hard to believe?
[01:04:24] Let me present to you 50,000 dead Christians that have been murdered by Islamics in Nigeria.
[01:04:33] Why?
[01:04:35] It's the sin of being a Christian.
[01:04:39] Mohammed taught the theology of triumphantism.
[01:04:41] It is God's will for Islam to rule the earth.
[01:04:46] President Trump is right now negotiating in Iran with Islamics who believe it's their manifest destiny to rule the earth.
[01:04:56] As I've said earlier in this service, our president deserves our prayers for divine and supernatural wisdom to negotiate this contract.
[01:05:11] That's the reason the Islamic prayer tower is the highest thing in every city where it's there because Islam must have the position of supremacy.
[01:05:20] That's the reason Ayatollah Khomeini believes that if he starts World War III with nuclear weapons, the Islamic Messiah will suddenly appear and the war and the world will be theirs.
[01:05:32] He will bring global Sharia to every nation on the earth.
[01:05:36] The Islamic flag flying over the White House is their goal, and don't you ever forget that.
[01:05:43] And their goal is for this United States to be under their control.
[01:05:51] Mohammed said, a day and a night with the sword are much to be preferred over 30 days of fasting and prayer.
[01:06:00] In fact, he made holy war a part of his faith.
[01:06:04] If you die killing an infidel, that would be everybody in this room and everybody in America who considers themselves a Christian.
[01:06:12] You are an infidel as far as they're concerned.
[01:06:15] If you die killing an infidel, you go straight to heaven where 72 virgins are waiting there to fulfill your every sexual aspiration.
[01:06:25] I'm sure they don't have much trouble recruiting an army.
[01:06:31] The problem sitting in the throat of Islamic nations is Israel.
[01:06:35] Israel who has an unconditional blood covenant from the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
[01:06:40] God gave them that land forever and it should be theirs forever.
[01:06:52] Why?
[01:06:53] Because Israel is the only nation created by a sovereign act of God.
[01:06:58] God created the boundaries for their real estate is in the Bible.
[01:07:07] God did not loan the land to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
[01:07:10] He gave it to them by a blood covenant forever in the book of Genesis chapter 15 and in 70 other locations in the Bible.
[01:07:19] That real estate contract is right here.
[01:07:23] Islamic fundamentalists believe that what Mohammed taught was absolute truth.
[01:07:28] It's Allah's will for them to rule the earth.
[01:07:31] They believe that.
[01:07:31] If radical Islam can't defeat Israel, Mohammed was wrong and the Koran is not true, which is absolutely unthinkable to them.
[01:07:41] The fact is, according to their theology, they must destroy Israel because if Israel survives, their theology is wrong. The fact is, it's a religious war driven by a radical theocratic dictatorship. That's what our president is up against right now. Here are 10 Bible signs that
[01:08:02] prove we are the terminal generation coming down the road toward Armageddon full force.
[01:08:09] First, the first fine sign of the end of the time is there will be an increase of knowledge on the earth.
[01:08:17] Follow this.
[01:08:18] In Daniel 12, 4, God says to Daniel, but you, Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book.
[01:08:26] Daniel is writing a book.
[01:08:27] Daniel is a Jew.
[01:08:28] The book of Daniel is to the Jews.
[01:08:31] It's not to the Christians.
[01:08:33] When you read the Bible, ask yourself, who wrote this?
[01:08:36] To whom is it written?
[01:08:38] And what's the message?
[01:08:40] The book of Daniel has nothing to do with the church.
[01:08:43] It has to do with the Jewish people.
[01:08:45] But thou, Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book until the time of the end, when many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be greatly increased.
[01:08:57] Literal translation, there will be a knowledge explosion.
[01:09:01] Our generation is the generation that has experienced a knowledge explosion.
[01:09:05] From the Garden of Eden until 1900, there has really no increase in knowledge concerning transportation.
[01:09:14] Men rode on horses, just as King David, Julius Caesar.
[01:09:19] My mother was taken to church the first time on a horse, a buggy drawn by horses.
[01:09:29] Then came the automobile.
[01:09:31] Then came the jet age.
[01:09:33] than supersonic flights from New York to Paris in three hours.
[01:09:39] Now people are going to the moon.
[01:09:42] We are that generation with the knowledge explosion.
[01:09:47] We're now talking about are these other blips in the sky people from other planets.
[01:09:52] From the Garden of Eden to 1900, men used torches as lamps for light.
[01:09:58] Then came the light bulb.
[01:10:00] Then came laser beams that can cut through steel or do delicate eye surgery.
[01:10:08] From the Garden of Eden to 1900, communication was by smoke signals.
[01:10:14] Then came the telegraph and telephone and television and telewoman.
[01:10:26] Now we have cell phones and artificial intelligence that people are talking about literally retiring half of the people in America from what they do.
[01:10:39] That's just too smart.
[01:10:42] Medical science has become so advanced we've been forced to redefine death.
[01:10:47] With medical magic, we can keep the human body breathing for weeks on end.
[01:10:53] This knowledge explosion has not produced utopia.
[01:10:57] It has produced a generation dying with drug addiction brought to us from foreign countries by boat.
[01:11:06] I'm very appreciative of our president who allows our military to knock those drug boats out of the water.
[01:11:22] This knowledge explosion has produced a generation that slaughters the unborn child in the womb of the mother.
[01:11:29] Let me refresh your ministry with the book of Proverbs that says six things God hates.
[01:11:38] hands that shed innocent blood and the blood of a child in its mother's womb is innocent blood if there ever was innocent blood.
[01:11:50] That should never happen.
[01:11:53] God considers it murder.
[01:11:57] That's a hard thing to say but when you look God in the eye on judgment day that's what he'll call it.
[01:12:03] America is bewitched with Satanism and witchcraft.
[01:12:06] We're having a revival right now of witchcraft sweeping this nation.
[01:12:10] We are a nation of drive-by shootings, child abuse, sex trafficking, anti-Semitism.
[01:12:17] Jew hatred is abounding in this country.
[01:12:21] It's time for the people of this nation who love freedom to stand up and say, stop it.
[01:12:34] A professor at Princeton, Dr. David Singer, advocating that parents be given the right to kill a child 28 days after its birth.
[01:12:45] saying any child that's less than perfect by their definition of perfect can be destroyed.
[01:12:55] Why is America becoming barbaric?
[01:12:58] Because knowledge without God only produces an intellectual barbarian.
[01:13:04] I want to say that one more time.
[01:13:07] Knowledge without God produces an intellectual barbarian.
[01:13:12] Hitler's Nazis had PhDs, but they threw Jewish children alive into the ovens of Auschwitz.
[01:13:21] They were intellectual barbarians.
[01:13:25] We are that generation that's ever learning, but never coming to the knowledge of the truth.
[01:13:30] Jesus said, I am the way, I am the life, I am the truth.
[01:13:34] The Proverbs 1 and 7 says, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of the knowledge.
[01:13:40] If there is no fear of God, your nation is not very smart.
[01:13:45] And I am telling you right now, America needs to get a new vision of who the God of heaven is because he is the all-powerful, almighty, all-knowing God.
[01:13:58] Give the Lord praise in the house.
[01:14:04] The Bible says you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.
[01:14:09] But what is truth?
[01:14:12] They debate that at the university endlessly.
[01:14:15] What is truth?
[01:14:16] Thy word is truth.
[01:14:18] What's the next lesson?
[01:14:22] The church of Jesus Christ has a solution for those living in the hell created by drug addiction, alcoholism, the occult.
[01:14:31] It is to know Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, for whom the Son sets free is free indeed.
[01:14:38] Jesus Christ is still the answer.
[01:14:41] He is still the answer.
[01:14:43] He can turn your sorrow into joy.
[01:14:45] He can turn, he is the friend that sticketh closer than a brother.
[01:14:50] He makes a way where there seems to be no way.
[01:14:53] He is El Shaddai.
[01:14:55] He is the bread of life.
[01:14:57] He is the living water.
[01:14:58] He is the prince of peace to the tormented mind.
[01:15:02] He's the giver of strength to the weary.
[01:15:04] He gives light to those who are walking in darkness.
[01:15:07] He is our high tower.
[01:15:09] He is our fortress.
[01:15:10] He is the Lord of glory.
[01:15:12] He is the lion of the tribe of Judah.
[01:15:15] He is our shield and our buckler.
[01:15:17] He is the hope for the hopeless.
[01:15:19] Try him, love him, serve him.
[01:15:22] Christ is the answer.
[01:15:29] The second prophetic sign that we're the terminal generation is the birth of nuclear warfare.
[01:15:36] Before the birth of nuclear warfare, there was a body of prophetic scripture that was an absolute mystery to my father's generation.
[01:15:44] They are now tragically clear as we race toward Armageddon.
[01:15:48] Zechariah 14, 12 says, and this is the plague that the Lord shall send upon all who come to fight against Jerusalem.
[01:15:56] Their flesh shall be consumed away while they stand on their feet and their eyes shall be consumed while away in their holes and their tongues shall be consumed in their mouths.
[01:16:10] Think about that.
[01:16:11] This is Zechariah.
[01:16:16] The fact is the most powerful H-bomb can produce heat of 150 million degrees Fahrenheit in a millionth of a second.
[01:16:26] That's how your tongue can be consumed in your mouth before your body can hit the ground.
[01:16:33] 2 Peter 3.10 describes a nuclear blast.
[01:16:37] The day of the Lord shall come as a thief in the night in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise and the elements shall melt with a fervent heat and the earth and the works that are in the earth
[01:16:48] shall be burned up.
[01:16:50] There are three phases of a nuclear blast.
[01:16:53] Let me describe just a one megaton blast, which is a firecracker compared to what we have.
[01:17:02] A nuclear blast for a one megaton blast.
[01:17:05] The sound of the blast is a great noise.
[01:17:08] It's everything, people, buildings for miles in all directions are simply atomized, wiped out.
[01:17:17] For the next eight miles, everything catches on fire instantly.
[01:17:22] It's a raging inferno.
[01:17:24] It is a hell on earth.
[01:17:27] Radiation breaks down at about 35 miles and the earth is good for nothing for 100 years from that date.
[01:17:34] The Bible clearly states that in the last days, Israel will be attacked suddenly.
[01:17:41] Matthew 24, 17 states, let him which is on the housetop not come down to take anything out of the house.
[01:17:48] There's no time.
[01:17:49] Neither let him who is in the field return to his house foreclosed.
[01:17:53] There's no time.
[01:17:55] This describes a sudden military attack, which is very brief, but very deadly.
[01:18:01] This is exactly what happened in Israel on October the 7th for that war.
[01:18:06] Pastor Hagee, because of Star Wars and our high-tech defense, we're safe from nuclear war.
[01:18:12] That's absolutely wrong.
[01:18:14] We're not safe.
[01:18:15] In the Persian Gulf, in the Persian Gulf War, Schwarzkopf, General Schwarzkopf asked President Bush for the permission to explode an electronic magnet pulse device high in the heavens that would cut off all electricity. The electromagnetic pulse device is called the electric blanket
[01:18:40] by military leaders. Here's how it'd be used against America in a nuclear warfare, making all of your Star Wars technology instantly obsolete.
[01:18:51] A fake satellite crossing across America, just like we allowed China to do in the Biden administration.
[01:19:02] How many of you remember that positively stupid activity?
[01:19:15] Allowing that to fly over our country.
[01:19:19] A fake satellite crossing over America as China did in the Biden administration at the height of 450 kilometers suddenly explodes over the Great Plains, releasing a few pounds of enriched plutonium, blanketing the United States with gamma rays.
[01:19:38] In a fraction of a second, all electrical power transmissions in America go dead.
[01:19:45] Cars won't start.
[01:19:46] Trucks, machinery, refrigerators stopped.
[01:19:50] Radio and television stations go off the air.
[01:19:54] Planes will crash.
[01:19:56] Missile systems will fail.
[01:19:58] The president of the United States cannot communicate with his military forces.
[01:20:03] Military masterminds are saying that a nuclear attack against America would probably start with this high-tech electrical blanket.
[01:20:11] Our military leadership believes our enemies have this capacity to do that right now.
[01:20:17] The Bible says this, when they say peace and safety, then cometh sudden destruction to America's negotiators with Iran leadership.
[01:20:32] Mr. President, these men are dedicated liars and their deception is their objective.
[01:20:40] Remember what Ronald Reagan said, trust but verify, trust but verify.
[01:20:47] The third prophetic sign is the rebirth of Israel, May 15th, 1948.
[01:20:52] The most dramatic prophetic sign of the 20th century, that this is the terminal generation on the road to Armageddon.
[01:21:01] The greatest miracle of the 20th century.
[01:21:04] Why?
[01:21:05] Isaiah 66, 8 says, a nation shall be born in a day.
[01:21:09] Say that with me.
[01:21:10] A nation shall be born in a day.
[01:21:13] May 15, 1948, Israel was reborn.
[01:21:17] They were born by covenant God made with Abraham 3,500 years ago.
[01:21:24] The disciples said to Jesus, when are you coming back?
[01:21:27] And Jesus answered in Matthew 24.
[01:21:29] Now learn a parable about the fig tree, that's Israel.
[01:21:33] When you see the branch begin to bloom again, you will know that my coming is even at the doors.
[01:21:42] It says when you see Israel come to life again, That happened in 1948.
[01:21:49] Israel is now one of the most prosperous nations in the world.
[01:21:54] And Jesus said, this generation shall not pass away till all things be fulfilled.
[01:22:00] That includes the rapture.
[01:22:03] Why doesn't someone do something to help the Jewish people?
[01:22:09] We have.
[01:22:10] In February of 2006, we gave birth to something called Christians United for Israel.
[01:22:16] for every Bible-believing pro-Israel pastor and church member in America to stand up and speak up for Israel.
[01:22:25] Our three objective is to have a night to honor Israel in every major city in America.
[01:22:31] We go to Washington, D.C. every year to visit our senators and congressmen and tell them what we want them to do for Israel.
[01:22:40] There's an email blast every Monday when a call to action.
[01:22:44] If you're not on that, get on that.
[01:22:47] The Bible says in Isaiah 62, for Zion's sake, I will not keep silent.
[01:22:53] Say that with me.
[01:22:54] For Zion's sake, I will not keep silent.
[01:22:57] And for Jerusalem's sake, I will not remain quiet.
[01:23:02] What are you doing for Israel?
[01:23:06] God is watching.
[01:23:09] We have 10 million members now, thank God.
[01:23:13] Love is not what you say.
[01:23:14] Love is what you do.
[01:23:16] Don't tell me how much you love me.
[01:23:18] Show me.
[01:23:21] Let's drive anti-Semitism out of America and let's do it now.
[01:23:31] The fourth sign, why was the Hebrew language reborn?
[01:23:35] A hundred years ago, the Hebrew language was as dead as Julius Caesar.
[01:23:40] Then a man named Ben Yehuda was inspired of God to revive the dead language.
[01:23:46] Why?
[01:23:47] Because Bible prophecy said it would happen.
[01:23:50] Zephaniah 3.9 says, for then will I turn to the people a pure language and they may call upon the name of the Lord and serve him with one consent. That was God's idea to have the Hebrew language reborn. The fifth sign
[01:24:09] that we're the terminal generation is the regathering of the Russian Jews prophesied by Jeremiah. Jeremiah chapter 23 verse 7 says, therefore behold the days are coming, saith the Lord, that they shall no longer say as the Lord lives, which brought us up out of the land of
[01:24:26] Egypt. That's Exodus 1. But they shall say as the Lord liveth that brought us out of the north country, that's Russia, that they may dwell in their land. That's Exodus 2. This church and Christians United for Israel brought 20,000 Russians into Israel because of this one verse.
[01:24:47] We are going to practice what the word of God says when it comes to Israel.
[01:25:01] Isaiah 46, nine, for I am God and there's none like me, declaring the end from the beginning.
[01:25:09] God knows the future because he controls the future.
[01:25:13] He is the Lord and there is none like him, not in the heavens, not in the earth.
[01:25:18] He is from everlasting to everlasting.
[01:25:20] He is Jehovah Shammah, the God who is there.
[01:25:23] He is Jehovah Jireh, the God that provides.
[01:25:26] He is Jehovah Rofi, the Lord that heals.
[01:25:29] He is Jehovah Nissi, the Lord, our banner.
[01:25:32] He is Jehovah Rofi, the Lord, our shepherd.
[01:25:35] And because he is our shepherd, we shall not want.
[01:25:38] We shall not want for friendship.
[01:25:40] We shall not want for power, because he has all power in heaven and in earth.
[01:25:45] We shall not want for joy, because he has joy that's unspeakable.
[01:25:49] We shall not want for love because God is love.
[01:25:53] We shall not want for confidence for the Lord says, if God be for you, who can be against you?
[01:25:59] We shall not want for peace because he is the Prince of Peace.
[01:26:03] I shall not want for hope for God, the God of all hope is our God.
[01:26:07] We shall not want for protection for no weapon formed against you shall prosper.
[01:26:14] Give the Lord praise and the howl.
[01:26:16] The sixth prophetic sign sign that we're the terminal generation happened when Jerusalem was no longer under Gentile control from the diaspora. That would be 70 AD when the Romans attacked Jerusalem and destroyed the temple. The Jews were not in control of Jerusalem until the six day war of 1967. Luke 21, 24 says,
[01:26:43] and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles. Listen until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. And when that's over, that is a cardinal indicator. The King of Kings and the Lord of Lords is on his way. When I met with President Trump in his first term, I asked him
[01:27:08] to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital. I gave him the Bible that I was reading from.
[01:27:15] He listened very patiently. And when I finished, he said, other presidents have promised to do this and they failed you, but I will not fail you.
[01:27:26] I will do this.
[01:27:27] And a few days later, he stood by Jerusalem and made it the praise of all the nations.
[01:27:41] Revelation 11 describes two witnesses that were laying the dead in the street.
[01:27:47] The seventh sign is international television.
[01:27:50] Revelation 11 describes two witnesses, Elijah and Enoch.
[01:27:55] Now remember, Elijah was translated into heaven for those of you who don't read the book.
[01:28:02] He's still there.
[01:28:05] He hasn't died yet.
[01:28:07] He's coming back to earth.
[01:28:10] Remember the last chapter of the Old Testament, God is saying, and I'm sending to you Elijah.
[01:28:17] Elijah is coming back.
[01:28:20] Enoch is coming back with him.
[01:28:23] And they're gonna have a fabulous evangelistic crusade for seven years to the Jewish people.
[01:28:31] He said, when you see Israel flourish, the Bible says that witnesses, Elijah and Enoch shall lay dead in the streets of Jerusalem for three days.
[01:28:49] And on the third day, they're going to rise into heaven.
[01:28:52] And listen, this is the phrase my grandfather and father argued about at the table over nothing.
[01:29:00] There was no such thing as television then.
[01:29:03] How could the world see these two people at one time?
[01:29:08] Surely the Bible made a mistake.
[01:29:10] And that was their answer.
[01:29:13] Then came television.
[01:29:16] We didn't put it together.
[01:29:17] Then came global television.
[01:29:21] Boom.
[01:29:22] That's how it's going to happen.
[01:29:25] Right now, 75 nations are watching what we're saying right here, right now.
[01:29:32] Because of the miracle of television.
[01:29:35] we're going to use this vehicle to proclaim the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ until the trumpet of God sounds and we leave this world the eighth sign that we're the terminal generation is deception Jesus said take heed that no man deceive you
[01:29:58] America is in deception we have believed the lie that the rapture of the church is a hoax that the land of Israel does not belong to the Jewish people that the new world order will bring peace and prosperity.
[01:30:14] That's absolutely wrong.
[01:30:17] Paul said, having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof from such turn away.
[01:30:23] That's what Paul is saying concerning the apostate church.
[01:30:28] I'm saying to those of you who are watching, if your pastor is preaching replacement theology, find yourself another pastor.
[01:30:36] You need to find another pastor.
[01:30:43] The ninth sign is pestilence and earthquakes in various places.
[01:30:47] You can't pick up the newspaper until you hear about an earthquake that's happening somewhere on planet Earth.
[01:30:55] We're now the 10th sign.
[01:30:58] As the days of Noah, so shall the coming of the Son of Man be.
[01:31:04] The Bible says no man knows the day and the hour of Christ's coming.
[01:31:09] That's a 24-hour period.
[01:31:11] But you can know when it's very near.
[01:31:14] because of all of these Bible signs as it was in the days of Noah. Go back that far.
[01:31:26] Noah built an ark. He put animals on the ark. God put Noah and his family on the ark. God closed the door of the ark. Noah didn't know the day nor the hour, but when God closed the door,
[01:31:43] he knew it wasn't going to be very long. Right now, the prophetic door has been closed.
[01:31:50] we could leave this room right now and the trump of God and everything would be fulfilled in the Bible concerning his coming Jesus said when you see these signs lift up your heads and rejoice
[01:32:14] your redemption draweth nigh I've said all of this to say this I want you to stand to your feet The coming of Jesus Christ could happen at any second.
[01:32:36] There is not one Bible verse that needs to be fulfilled.
[01:32:42] For in an instant, we leave this earth.
[01:32:48] It's near.
[01:32:50] The rapture is near.
[01:32:52] Turn to your neighbor and say, it's near.
[01:32:55] It's near.
[01:32:59] now I want you to give the Lord a prayer and praise and thank him for his infinite grace thank you Lord give the Lord a shout in this house

[01:33:15] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_16]
[01:33:15] let's sing the king is coming the king is coming the king is coming I just heard the trumpet sounding And now his face I see Oh, the King is coming The King is coming He's coming for coming
[01:34:05] I just heard the trumpet sounding His face I see How many of you in this room have relatives and friends

[01:34:52] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_07]
[01:34:52] that you know and love and know they're not ready to meet Jesus.
[01:34:58] I want you this week to testify to those people about Jesus and give them one last chance to step into the gates of heaven rather than to live forever in the fires of hell.
[01:35:20] One man said, well, I don't want to embarrass him.
[01:35:27] I said, can you imagine him soaked in gas and lighting with fire?
[01:35:33] I said that fire's going on forever that's the Bible he said that doesn't seem real it is real get concerned about your family members that don't know Jesus because we're getting ready to leave this world
[01:35:58] and we're never coming back until the great tribulation of the thousand years of perfect peace the rapture is when we go up the return is when we come back seven years later after marriage supper of the lamb we're coming to
[01:36:21] jerusalem to rule and reign for a thousand years it's going to be a wonderful time but you want as many of your friends as you can you don't want to say i just wish i'd have told him i just wish i

[01:39:18] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_10]
[01:39:18] Here's more teaching from the Word of God. Welcome back to our Sunday conversation. Last week, I asked you to consider some divine perspective, God's promise, God's purpose, God's sovereignty, God's timing.
[01:39:34] What does that mean for us in our modern day and how we should live our lives, especially at a point in our history where replacement theology is becoming such a widely accepted concept?
[01:39:49] Before we jump into Romans chapter 9, I want to briefly take a moment to address the topic of replacement theology.
[01:39:58] Many people don't realize that they may believe and adhere to some things that replacement theology teaches and why it's unscriptural.
[01:40:07] Where does it come from?
[01:40:09] Why did it happen?
[01:40:11] That's a very long discussion, but for the sake of our brief time together, in the fourth century, Constantine was a Roman emperor, and Rome experienced a civil war.
[01:40:28] It was broken into the Eastern and the Western empires.
[01:40:33] Constantine was banished from Rome to the West, and he went to Turkey.
[01:40:40] There he established a city that exists to this day, Constantinople.
[01:40:44] He named it after himself.
[01:40:47] Whenever the end of the Civil War was coming to a head and there was one final battle, Constantine believed that he had received a divine dream.
[01:40:56] And that divine dream was that every one of his soldiers should paint on their shield a blue banner with a red cross and a white corner.
[01:41:11] He believed that that symbol was given to him by a divine being who he felt was Christ and that as soldiers of Christ, they would be victorious.
[01:41:26] Historically, Constantine's army won that battle.
[01:41:31] Constantine reunited the Roman Empire and he renamed it the Holy Roman Empire and he named himself to be the head of the Holy Roman Church.
[01:41:45] And he declared that Christianity was now the official religion of the Holy Roman Empire.
[01:41:55] In a day, what had been outlawed prior was now embraced.
[01:42:01] And what happened in that moment is that many of the traditions and the customs and the titles of Christianity were married with the pagan practices of Romanism.
[01:42:14] And suddenly, in this new co-mangled relationship, many people were starting to ask questions like, Who killed Christ? And why was he arrested? And how should we as his followers avenge him?
[01:42:34] And in error, historically, the answer was given, the Jews killed Christ.
[01:42:41] Because after all, this Bible says he came unto his own and his own received him not.
[01:42:47] Or we hear that they had a plot, they had a plan.
[01:42:53] And yet, if we look at scripture more closely, not taking those individual texts out of context, let's allow Jesus to speak for himself.
[01:43:03] And what does he say?
[01:43:05] No man takes my life, I lay it down.
[01:43:12] If he is so powerless that mankind could put him in shackles and chains, he's not powerful enough to redeem your soul out of hell.
[01:43:22] So blaming any one individual, people, or group for the crucifixion of Jesus Christ is doctrinally and scripturally and historically an error.
[01:43:34] But from this position, replacement theology is born.
[01:43:40] that God in heaven has rejected the Jews because they killed his son, Jesus.
[01:43:47] Wrong.
[01:43:49] And while that seems ridiculous in a historical context, it's still being taught and it's still being believed and it's still being propagated on many platforms in the world today, especially to young people.
[01:44:03] But its evil intention is to undermine the divine and sovereign will and plan of God.
[01:44:11] Some of the things that you'll hear replacement theology teach is that the New Testament has replaced the Old Testament.
[01:44:18] That's not true.
[01:44:20] The Bible is a complete book.
[01:44:24] Yes, it's divided into many sections, but what we call traditionally the Old Testament and the New Testament for our purposes is one complete story.
[01:44:35] The first half, the Old Testament, is God's will concealed.
[01:44:42] The second half, the New Testament, is God's will revealed.
[01:44:47] If the revelation shows you what God was discussing prior to it, it doesn't replace it, it fulfills it.
[01:44:55] That's why Jesus said, I have not come to do away with the law, but I have come to fulfill the law.
[01:45:01] What was the law?
[01:45:03] That the soul that sinneth should surely die, and without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sins.
[01:45:09] Whose blood was going to remit our sins?
[01:45:11] Christ's blood, whose death was going to pay for ours, his death. Replacement theology also teaches that Christianity has replaced Judaism. This is blatantly wrong and can be assessed in so many ways. Romans 9 is one of the places that we're going to look in just a moment, but just ask
[01:45:37] yourself this question. When you hear about traditions of faith, you hear about a Judeo-Christian faith. Why does Judeo precede Christian? Because out of Judaism came Christianity.
[01:45:58] Remember last week, we discussed the fact that Jesus Christ was a Jewish rabbi and his followers, when they began to believe in him, were not called Christians. They were just called people of the way. It's not until the church of Antioch, where we read in the book of
[01:46:20] Ephesians that they were first called Christians at Antioch. And there's a historical reason for that as well. But the church and Christianity has not replaced Judaism and Judaism has not replaced Christianity. Judeo-Christianity are followers of God Almighty in heaven and have
[01:46:48] given God their devotion based on his divine plan and his sovereign will for their lives.
[01:46:57] They also teach that Christians replaced the Jewish people as the chosen people.
[01:47:02] This is blatantly wrong, and we'll get into that in chapter 9.
[01:47:07] And the fulfillment of this ideology is that the Jews do not own the land of Israel.
[01:47:14] and the reality of that situation is if that statement is true, then God has broken his word, which according to scripture, he cannot do.
[01:47:28] God is not a man that he should lie.
[01:47:31] The Bible tells us that by two immutable things, immovable things, God cannot deny himself by his name and by his word.
[01:47:42] If he says it, he has to do it And if he says it in his name, it's done.
[01:47:49] So what does Romans chapter nine tell us?
[01:47:53] Let's begin.
[01:47:56] Paul starts in verse one.
[01:47:58] I tell the truth in Christ.
[01:48:00] I am not lying.
[01:48:02] My conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Spirit.
[01:48:07] Verse one tells you how emphatic Paul is about what he's getting ready to write.
[01:48:13] He's saying it in the most authentic and sincere way he can.
[01:48:18] He's saying with my hand on the Bible and 10 toes down, scouts, honor, whatever pledge you want to make, he is saying this is my solemn oath that under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit
[01:48:33] and his conscience also bearing witness that this is what he wants to let us know concerning Israel.
[01:48:41] That I have great sorrow and continual grief in my heart.
[01:48:46] Why is he sad?
[01:48:48] He's sad because Jews who are following the law have not received the same revelation he did when he was Saul of Tarsus and met Jesus on the road to Damascus.
[01:49:01] He's saying, I wish they could experience my revelation.
[01:49:04] And yet he says, for I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my countrymen, according to the flesh, Who are Israelites?
[01:49:22] He's letting us know very clearly who he's talking about.
[01:49:27] To whom pertain?
[01:49:28] Now listen closely because these words are very important.
[01:49:32] This is verse four.
[01:49:34] To whom pertain the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the service of God, and the promises?
[01:49:46] Those are very key indicators.
[01:49:49] and then even further, just for confirmation, in verse five, he says, to whom are the fathers and according to the flesh, Christ came, who is over all the eternally blessed God. Amen.
[01:50:09] Now, if you understand verses four and five, you have the key that unlocks the door to the mystery of God and Israel and our relationship as Christians saved by grace through faith, saved by faith through grace in Christ, and our relationship with the Jewish
[01:50:37] people. Let's begin with the adoption. Where did the adoption take place? Pastor Hagee recently mentioned in one of his messages that Israel is God's firstborn, as the Lord told Moses to tell Pharaoh in the book of Exodus. The adoption took place in Genesis chapter 12. We're familiar
[01:51:06] with this covenant, but this is where the Lord tells Abram, get out of your country, from your family, from your father's house to a land that I will show you.
[01:51:22] I will make you a great nation.
[01:51:24] I will bless you.
[01:51:26] I will make your name great.
[01:51:28] You shall be a blessing.
[01:51:29] I will bless those who bless you.
[01:51:31] I will curse those who curse you.
[01:51:33] And in you, all the families of the earth shall be blessed.
[01:51:38] This is where God reached down his hand and chose Abram and told Abram, through you and your descendants, we are going to change the world.
[01:51:50] So the adoption was extended to the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, a very important distinction, and the glory.
[01:52:05] What is the glory?
[01:52:07] The glory is God's chosen purpose for his people to bring the word of God to the world, to bring Jesus Christ into the world.
[01:52:18] The glory is his divine presence that rested upon them in the tabernacle when he came and dwelt with his people.
[01:52:28] The covenants, you have the Abramic covenant that we just read.
[01:52:33] I will bless those who bless you.
[01:52:35] I will curse those who curse you.
[01:52:36] And in you, all the nations of the earth shall be blessed.
[01:52:39] The Davidic covenant, which was a promise and a covenant that God made with David that his descendants would sit on the throne for a thousand generations.
[01:52:53] These covenants were not made with Baptists.
[01:52:56] These covenants were not made with Episcopalians.
[01:52:58] These covenants were not made with non-denominational New Testament believers.
[01:53:03] These covenants were made with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob's descendants.
[01:53:08] The giving of the law.
[01:53:09] To whom did he give the law?
[01:53:10] He gave it to the people of Israel who came out of Egypt at Mount Sinai, specifically through Moses.
[01:53:17] the service of God.
[01:53:18] To whom did he give the service of God?
[01:53:21] To the Levitical priesthood, which was a son of Jacob and his descendants.
[01:53:28] Remember, Aaron was of the tribe of Levi.
[01:53:33] And then in verse five, of whom are the fathers and from whom, according to the flesh, Christ came, who is over all, the eternally blessed God, amen.
[01:53:46] So Paul establishes these six things, adoption, glory, covenants, giving of the law, service of God, and the promises, and through whom God sent his son, Jesus Christ.
[01:54:02] Those are the people he's talking about.
[01:54:04] Those are the ones that he calls Israel.
[01:54:08] Why is that important?
[01:54:10] The next verse, Romans chapter 9, verse 6, but it is not that the word of God has taken no effect. Listen to this statement. For they are not all Israel who are Israel. What does that mean?
[01:54:29] Paul, are you double talking? I mean, how can he be, you know, Israel and then not Israel who are Israel? And what Paul is doing is he's making a case. Consider him an attorney in a courtroom
[01:54:44] advocating. And he's standing before a jury and he says, we need to utilize good evidence to be able to prove our point. And that's an important thing to consider whenever you meet people who want to make the arguments of replacement theology. God has replaced Israel. No, he hasn't.
[01:55:02] Well, how do you know that? Use the Bible to prove it. Israel doesn't own the land. Yes, they do.
[01:55:10] How do you know that? Use the Bible to prove it. The church has replaced the Jews. No, they haven't.
[01:55:18] How do you know that?
[01:55:19] Use the Bible to prove it.
[01:55:22] And so Paul making this statement, they are not all Israel who say they are Israel.
[01:55:28] He's getting ready to use the Bible to give us evidence to prove what he says.
[01:55:33] He says, nor are they the children because they are the seed of Abraham, but in Isaac, your seed shall be called.
[01:55:43] One of the things that replacement theologians want to argue about, Well, Abraham had two sons.
[01:55:50] He had Ishmael and he had Isaac.
[01:55:52] If God's blessings are on the seed of Abraham, Genesis 12, if God's blessings are on the seed of Abraham, why isn't Ishmael a part of the covenant?
[01:56:04] Because God didn't choose Ishmael.
[01:56:07] God chose Isaac.
[01:56:10] And Paul says so according to Scripture.
[01:56:14] And then in verse 8, he says, that is those who are the children of the flesh, meaning literal descendants of Abraham.
[01:56:23] These are not the children of God, but the children of the promise, meaning those who come from Abraham and Isaac, not Abraham and Ishmael, not Abraham and the children that he had with other women after Sarah had died. That's in the Bible, by the way, for those of you who
[01:56:40] want to check me on it. For this is the word of the promise. And this was the promise that God gave to Sarah. Now, just a few verses ago, Romans chapter 9 and verse 4, Paul says,
[01:56:58] the Israelites to whom pertain the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the service of God, and the promises. So here in verse 9, he's bringing up a promise from the Old
[01:57:12] Testament that was given to Sarah. He's proving his point using scripture. He says, for this is the word of the promise. At this time, I will come and Sarah shall have a son. Yes, Abraham had
[01:57:29] other children, but God's covenant, God's adoption, God's glory, God's service, God's promises were with Abraham and the child he had with his wife, Sarah, who was Isaac. Let's continue further.
[01:57:45] because it's important that this is established clearly.
[01:57:50] And not only this, but when Rebecca had also conceived by one man, even by our father Isaac, for the children not yet being born nor having done any good or evil, that the purposes of God according to election
[01:58:05] might stand not of works, but of him who calls.
[01:58:09] That is such an important thing.
[01:58:11] Remember, I spoke to you about God's sovereignty in his divine time.
[01:58:15] What Paul is talking about here is Esau and Jacob, two twins. Rebecca is pregnant. She's awaiting her due date. And she knows that these two twins are fighting within her and they're struggling.
[01:58:31] And Paul here says, it was God who chose Jacob. And why did God choose Jacob? Because God is sovereign. He sees the end from the beginning. He knows what we don't know. He sees what we can't
[01:58:49] see. He is the creator of heaven and earth. You either have the ability to accept that or you don't. That's why this is called faith, a sovereign God, that the purposes of God, according to
[01:59:09] election might stand, not of works. He's saying Esau didn't do it. Jacob didn't do it. God chose it because God is the one who calls. Verse 12, and it was said to her, the older Esau shall serve
[01:59:31] the younger Jacob. Verse 13, as it is written, Jacob I have loved, but Esau I have hated.
[01:59:45] God in his sovereign plan chose Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
[01:59:52] Jacob, as we know, is the man who wrestled with the angel and his name was changed from Jacob, which is deceiver and supplanter, to Israel, which is prince with God.
[02:00:08] And the descendants of Jacob went into captivity in Egypt and according to the sovereign and divine plan of God, the descendants of Jacob come out of Egypt as the nation of Israel. Remember what Paul said?
[02:00:29] They're adopted. They've got covenants. They've got promises. Genesis 12, 3, just in these 13 verses, how many of the promises have we seen fulfilled? One, that God was going to watch over Abraham. Two, that God was going to give him a son, Isaac. Three, that God was going to make
[02:00:49] him a nation. Whenever Israel comes out of Egypt, what are they? They are a nation that God began with Abraham, an unlikely individual who didn't have any children when that promise was received.
[02:01:03] God has sovereign and divine plans. We're only 13 verses into Romans chapter 9, but there's so much more to say. I want you to continue to read and study this chapter and ask the Holy Spirit
[02:01:16] to continue to open your eyes and reveal the divine truth that's locked inside.
[02:01:21] We'll have more of this conversation when we return next week.
