The Danger of Self-Powered Faith: Why Grace Must Replace Performance

While the sermon offers motivational encouragement to move forward in faith, it is fundamentally compromised by severe theological errors. The message replaces the Gospel of Grace with a transactional Prosperity Gospel, demands physical acts as necessary for salvation, and uses fear-based coercion to drive decisions. The core message shifts the burden of spiritual success from Christ's finished work to human performance and self-actualization.

❓ What do these grades mean?
🔍 Biblical Discernment: The 7 Church Parallels
The Faithful Parallels Smyrna • Philadelphia
Teaching that parallels the churches that endure suffering with true spiritual riches (Rev 2:9) and keep the Word of Christ without denial despite having "little strength" (Rev 3:8).
The Cold Orthodox Parallel Ephesus
Teaching that upholds doctrinal precision yet parallels the loss of the "first love"—the vital, motivating power of the Gospel (Rev 2:4).
The Compromised Parallel Pergamum
Teaching that parallels churches tolerating the "doctrine of Balaam" through cultural accommodation (Rev 2:14), characterized by weak boundaries, sloppy theology, and worldly compromise.
The Corrupted & Dead Parallels Thyatira • Sardis • Laodicea
Teaching that parallels churches with active heresy, synergism, therapeutic deism, or dead orthodoxy (Rev 2:20, Rev 3:1, Rev 3:17). These represent systemic, fundamental errors that corrupt the Gospel.
Why strictly "Mark & Avoid"?
We do not issue this rating to attack the speaker, but to protect the listener. This ministry's overall teaching trend consistently deviates from sound doctrine. As per Romans 16:17, we identify these patterns so believers can guard their hearts.

🧐 Overview

Theological Verdict & Summary

Sermon Summary: A call to stop waiting for signs and start living in the power of God's provision.

Pastoral Analysis: While the sermon offers motivational encouragement to move forward in faith, it is fundamentally compromised by severe theological errors. The message replaces the Gospel of Grace with a transactional Prosperity Gospel, demands physical acts as necessary for salvation, and uses fear-based coercion to drive decisions. The core message shifts the burden of spiritual success from Christ's finished work to human performance and self-actualization.

Biblical Parallel (Archetype): Sardis — The sermon presents a 'name that it is alive, but is dead' orthodoxy. While it utilizes Christian terminology, the core message is fundamentally compromised by Synergistic Soteriology, where salvation is framed as a transactional human decision rather than a divine gift. This is compounded by a Prosperity Gospel framework that treats God as a transactional obligor for material wealth, and Coercive Evangelism that uses fear to manipulate responses. The Gospel Engine is broken, replacing grace with works, fear, and self-actualization.

Big Idea: A pivot is an act of courage that requires releasing past identities and waiting on signs to move forward with the resources and calling God has already provided. [00:28:44 ▶️ 📄]

  • Sermon Illustration [00:22:27 ▶️ 📄]
    > The pastor shares a personal anecdote about her husband cleaning her closet. Despite her initial resistance and desire to go to the gym, she obeyed him, cleaned out nine bags of clothes, and felt a sense of accomplishment. When he brought her coffee as a 'doggy treat' for the good job, she accidentally knocked it over, but because she knew he thought of her, she wasn't upset. She uses this to illustrate that God wants us to pivot for His sake, not just for external validation or 'signs.'
  • Sermon Illustration [00:48:09 ▶️ 📄]
    > The pastor shares a personal anecdote about losing her job at 36, moving back in with her parents, and working at Belk for $9 an hour to prove her worth, illustrating the struggle with people-pleasing and the need to move past failure.

    > The pastor shares a personal anecdote about working at Belk after moving back in with his parents at age 36. He was fired for 'time clock fraud' (not clocking out five times), which he interpreted as God closing a door to make way for a better opportunity at Bloomingdale's, where he became a counter manager making double the pay.
  • Sermon Illustration [00:50:36 ▶️ 📄]
    > The pastor recounts his mother's response to his devastation after being fired: she told him to 'get up,' 'praise your way out,' and realize that closed doors are often God closing them because something greater is coming, preventing him from staying in a place he was too content to leave.
  • Sermon Illustration [00:54:50 ▶️ 📄]
    > The pastor uses the analogy of 'building your own table' versus sitting at tables God called you out of, and the metaphor of 'picking up the weapon' to describe how believers often use their own past sins and insecurities against themselves instead of letting God use them.

🧭 Biblical Alignment Dashboard

Overall Verdict: Fundamentally in Error

CategoryStatusReasoning
Gospel Presentation ❌ FAIL The Gospel Engine is broken. The sermon replaces the monergistic work of God with synergistic human effort, framing salvation as a transactional decision dependent on physical gestures and verbal recitations rather than sovereign grace.
Soteriology ❌ FAIL The sermon teaches Synergistic Soteriology, asserting that human action (lifting hands, reciting prayers) is the mechanism for salvation and rededication, directly contradicting the doctrine of salvation by grace alone through faith alone.
Bibliology ❌ FAIL The pastor claims direct, extra-biblical divine dictation ('I could hear the lord get your butt up'), establishing subjective experience as authoritative over the sufficiency of Scripture.
Hermeneutic ⚠️ WEAK The sermon relies heavily on motivational psychology and self-help frameworks rather than expository biblical theology, twisting scripture to support a narrative of self-actualization and prosperity.
Theology Proper ❌ FAIL The sermon presents a distorted view of God as a transactional entity obligated to provide wealth and health if specific rituals are performed, reflecting a Prosperity Gospel heresy.
Sacramentology ✅ PASS No specific sacramental errors were detected in the provided reports.
Confessional Depth ❌ SHALLOW The sermon lacks doctrinal depth, focusing on emotional manipulation, self-help, and transactional religion rather than the profound truths of the Gospel.

⚙️ The Core Gospel Framework

What is this? This section checks if the sermon contains the essential building blocks of the Gospel. We look for explicit, substantive mentions of God's holy standard, human inability, and Christ's finished work on the cross.

Why it matters for the final verdict: A complete Gospel framework protects a sermon from becoming man-centered. If a preacher gives commands for good behavior but leaves out the grace and atonement of the Gospel, it often results in a 🔴 Critical or 🟠 Major error for Moralism (teaching human self-improvement rather than reliance on Christ). However, if these Gospel elements are missing simply because the pastor is preaching a highly focused, practical message to mature believers (e.g., instructions on biblical marriage), our system applies a "Safe Harbor" pardon, graciously reducing the omission to a 🟡 Minor error.

The Law And Wrath:

"we know hell's hot we ain't going there" [00:37:21 ▶️ 📄]

Total Depravity And Inability: Not observed in the sermon.

Active Obedience Of Christ: Not observed in the sermon.

The Cross And Atonement: Not observed in the sermon.

⚠️ Theological Concerns

🔴 Critical Synergistic Soteriology

Root Cause: Synergism

"lift up your hands if you say i'm gonna rededicate my life to jesus... one day it's gonna stink it's i at least you ain't going to hell every day i repent... say lord i repent of my sins i ask you to be my lord and savior" [01:01:03 ▶️ 📄]

The Belief/Behavior: The pastor frames this physical act and verbal recitation as the transactional requirement for being saved or rededicating one's life.

Why It's Dangerous: This teaches that salvation is dependent on human will and effort (works) rather than God's sovereign grace, leading listeners to trust in their own performance for eternal security.

Biblical Correction: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

🔴 Critical Prosperity Gospel

Root Cause: Prosperity Gospel

"Checks in the mail. I believe I am not going to be on the struggle bus. I'm living in a chapter of overflow in every area of my life... Breaking generational wealth. I'm going to be the first one." [01:09:25 ▶️ 📄]

The Belief/Behavior: The pastor teaches that believers are contractually obligated to receive wealth, health, and business success if they believe and speak it.

Why It's Dangerous: This reduces God to a transactional vending machine, fostering greed and disappointment when circumstances do not align with material desires, and denying the biblical reality of suffering and contentment.

Biblical Correction: For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. (1 Timothy 6:10)

🔴 Critical Coercive Evangelism

Root Cause: Coercive Evangelism

"one day it's gonna stink it's i at least you ain't going to hell every day i repent i lay in my bed god forgive me" [01:01:23 ▶️ 📄]

The Belief/Behavior: The pastor implies that daily repentance is a performance metric to avoid hell, using phrases like 'at least you ain't going to hell' to manipulate listeners into making a decision.

Why It's Dangerous: This creates a false sense of security based on emotional manipulation rather than genuine faith, and instills fear of God rather than love.

Biblical Correction: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

🔴 Critical Subjective Authority

Root Cause: Subjectivism

"I could hear the lord get your butt up and clean" [00:25:14 ▶️ 📄]

The Belief/Behavior: The pastor states, 'I could hear the lord get your butt up and clean,' presenting a subjective experience as authoritative divine command.

Why It's Dangerous: This bypasses the sufficiency of Scripture, leading listeners to prioritize personal feelings and experiences over the clear Word of God.

Biblical Correction: For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: (Revelation 22:18)

🟠 Major Narcigesis & Anthropocentrism

Root Cause: Anthropocentrism

"You're a black sheep, but you are the goat. You're the first one in your family that's got the courage to do something against the grain." [00:41:14 ▶️ 📄]

The Belief/Behavior: The pastor calls the listener the 'goat' and the hero who breaks generational curses through personal courage.

Why It's Dangerous: This shifts the focus from Christ's redemptive work to human potential, fostering pride and self-reliance. It teaches that spiritual victory is achieved through human effort rather than dependence on the Holy Spirit.

Biblical Correction: I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. (Galatians 2:20)

✅ Commendations

Pastoral Care | Addressing Emotional Baggage

The sermon effectively identifies the emotional weight of past failures and regrets, offering a relatable entry point for listeners struggling with shame and stagnation.

Motivational Clarity | Call to Action

The message provides a clear, albeit theologically flawed, call to stop passive waiting and engage in active steps toward personal and spiritual growth.

[00:09:10] here's the good news the table just that you are nothing's true heard the lord say y'all ready for

[00:17:27] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_07]
[00:17:27] this table to do it table heard the lord say it's so clear i think it was when you went to when you went there it was like get your butt out of the way i'm able and so here's what i want
[00:18:27] everybody in this room to do lift up your hands i'll wait see what to do and i'll do it let that Sink in.
[00:18:45] Because some of y'all got to do some hard things.
[00:18:52] You beating yourself up for what?
[00:18:54] You can't go back and fix nothing.
[00:18:57] But you can sure learn from it.
[00:19:00] And you get better and bigger and make the devil pay.
[00:19:03] But in those seasons, anybody ever went through stupid seasons where you were just like, God, what did I do that for?
[00:19:13] Let it go.
[00:19:14] Some of y'all beating yourself up for stuff you can't change.
[00:19:18] Let it go.
[00:19:21] You did it.
[00:19:22] it was dumb probably but you learned so if he's able to do it then that means I got a part to play which is release it come on somebody don't need to release it this morning forgive it that's where
[00:19:40] the enemy holds us hostage y'all is in our own minds please people around you to keep reminding you of it if they keep reminding you of it put them in the past you hear me you ain't even that
[00:19:55] person no more some of you are some of y'all still squatters because you keep going back to what was familiar but the minute you make up in your mind I'm not going back and if you keep
[00:20:10] reminding me of it I ain't coming around you hear me in this new season we're in June some of y'all let two three decades steal your peace you mad at you for what instead of being mad at yourself
[00:20:26] you got to know you pivoted. You still showed up, right? So say, Lord, I'm ready. How do y'all feel excited? Y'all killed it. All right. As you're sitting down, yo, I'm really excited about this
[00:20:48] word. I'm really excited about this word. Let me look at a drummer. Let me get a look at the drummer and my son's back it just felt fire you hardly ever find a drummer though that is on top
[00:21:09] of you like good job blow it up blow it up fist pump okay so y'all listen we're starting a new series today called pivot say pivot how many y'all know you need to pivot y'all ever been in a how
[00:21:24] many y'all ever been in a marriage duh but have you ever walked through seasons where you're hard to forgive anybody walked in today mad at your partner your husband your wife your husband oh y'all y'all didn't y'all good it was always on the way to church that the enemy starts trying to punk
[00:21:45] you so you in the car sit down jesse you want a coffee missed a whole opportunity to get a coffee because you're mad and then you walk into church and you see people and they're like how you doing
[00:22:00] blessed and highly favored you were ticked all the way coming to church and so I started thinking about this series and I'm so excited about it because yesterday I had a I had a download
[00:22:15] and I had the sermon since last week which is very rare for me and I was studying the sermon all week long but then yesterday I get up and I go to the gym right because y'all know me and my
[00:22:27] husband celebrate two years married in 10 days nine days we've been married nine days for two years and I'm in love okay they're like it's a honeymoon stage I said it's gonna stay the honeymoon stage because sometimes I roll my eyes and then I remember what it was like being alone
[00:22:48] I'm like girl but he's very clean and I'm clean but our clean is not the same you know what I mean Like you can eat off our floors.
[00:23:04] He fired my housekeeper because they couldn't clean like him.
[00:23:09] Everything in his closet is just beautiful.
[00:23:12] Now mine, that's the one place that we have some problems.
[00:23:19] And so when he walks in my closet, he got something to say.
[00:23:22] And my rebuttal is to buy me a house.
[00:23:26] Because I'm living in a condo with you.
[00:23:28] We see Atlanta, but we ain't got no room for my clothes.
[00:23:33] So when you don't have room for your clothes, what do you do?
[00:23:35] buy a bigger house with a bigger closet duh so yesterday i get up and i put my my outfit on my i started because we go to the gym on saturdays and so i get up and i put my because i think you
[00:23:48] look cuter when you got cute workout clothes you know what i'm saying so i got something new so i put it on i was ready to go still have my vagina bottoms on but we still had this on which was his
[00:23:57] sign i'm going so he comes walking in and i said he kisses me i'm like we're going to the gym why you kiss me he said because i'm going to the gym i said well no no i'm going to he said no no no
[00:24:10] you're gonna you're gonna clean your closet i'm a what now the old kid would have been like you don't tell me but because i know he loves my guts i was like he right i need to clean my closet that
[00:24:28] boy left did not even give me an opportunity to say i need to go to the gym because we're getting married and i'm we're renewing our vows and i'm gonna be in a wedding dress and i want my arms
[00:24:38] to be gi jane and he didn't even want to hear it so he tells me he said you're gonna stay i'm gonna clean your closet well that's a huge feat huge like two weeks max or minimum i lay in the bed
[00:24:57] after he leaves watching 9-1-1 because i love 9-1-1 anybody watch 9-1-1 i love 9-1-1 it makes you prophetic because then when stuff happens around the city you're like oh i already saw this is what's gonna happen i'm laying in a bed for about an hour i was like saturday's my day to
[00:25:14] really download from the lord and i'm just gonna sit here and about hour in it was like i could hear the lord get your butt up and clean so i get up so i get up and i start cleaning my closet and
[00:25:32] then i realized you know how when you get into something you realize holy this is going i'm 53 my body's aching because I feel like I'm 20 but I'm up it ain't the same it don't even matter if
[00:25:44] you're going to work out I take turmeric and everything and I'm like oh my attic every excuse not to finish cleaning that closet y'all when I tell you I don't know all the stuff I gave out
[00:25:54] nine bags of just stuff and I I am the type of person that when I clean I see cute stuff and I'm like, ah, and then I stopped and have to try everything on. Well, then I need to keep it.
[00:26:10] So halfway through, I'm like, nope, we're not even going to check it. We're not going to, we're not even going to see it. So I just started pulling and throwing in bags, pulling and throwing in bags. Then I wanted to take a video of it and send it to him.
[00:26:21] You left me at the gym, but you're going to be proud of me when you get home.
[00:26:25] I wanted him to be proud of something that was going to make my life easier.
[00:26:29] And a lot of times we won't pivot because we're waiting for somebody else to tell us what a good job we're doing when it wasn't for him anyway he don't walk in my closet it was for me
[00:26:41] cleaned out nine bags of clothes when I came home he always brings me a coffee when I do something good it's like my doggy treat if I go to the gym if I work out he gonna pull into Starbucks because
[00:26:57] girl you did a good job it's like my it's the small things you know he comes in that house with no coffee. I was about to blow up. He comes in. He's like, baby, it looks so good.
[00:27:21] Hurting my sciatic nerve. And you ain't gonna bring me a coffee. You didn't think of a coffee.
[00:27:27] But then I finally got the nerve. I was going to walk out and say something.
[00:27:31] I walk out and he's walking into the kitchen with the coffee. He'd hit it. I said, you know, that's manipulation, I think, because now I got all worked up. He brings me a coffee and he's
[00:27:45] laughing and he said here you go baby you knew I wasn't gonna come home without a coffee he now hides it he forgot he hid it and now it was watery but I was still so grateful so I then get happy
[00:27:58] so I put it up on the counter I'm gonna show him everything I did I knock the doggone coffee on the floor it spills everywhere but because he thought of me it didn't even faze me so I just
[00:28:15] looked down at the floor and he goes, Oh Lord, Dennis to menace. It didn't even affect me because I knew at that moment that I was pivoting. He cleaned it up. He got there, started cleaning. He said, no, no, no, no. You get away from it. You'll leave it sticky
[00:28:29] because you do everything half-heartedly. He said, you'll just do this. He said, it needs to be clean because he's so strategic. And I started thinking about that today in this new sermon series that we're doing. Quit waiting for a sign. That's the sermon series. That's the
[00:28:44] That's the first sermon title of today.
[00:28:48] Stop waiting for another sign.
[00:28:53] What are you waiting on?
[00:28:55] Why ain't y'all married yet?
[00:28:58] Why ain't you lost weight yet?
[00:29:01] Why are you still at a job you hate?
[00:29:04] Why are y'all fighting like cats and dogs and you're staying married?
[00:29:08] If y'all going to stay married, why are you fighting like cats and dogs?
[00:29:11] Why don't you have peace in your family?
[00:29:13] I started thinking about this because I am that girl.
[00:29:17] That I'll be mad and he'll only know what I'm mad at.
[00:29:19] And so over the time, I started thinking about how a lot of times pride will make you secretly pivot. So you're pivoting, but it's a secret because the pride got you stuck there.
[00:29:37] The pride of them walking out on you, the pride of them not valuing you. And so now you secretly, whether it's afraid of rejection, whether it's afraid of messing up again, you just live in
[00:29:50] constant turmoil in your brain. So the sermon that I'm, the text that I'm going to go from, and then y'all going to have to put your seatbelts on because you ain't going to miss a word. Just
[00:30:01] turn the mirrors on because I got some stuff. It says, Moses, my servant is dead. Say, Moses, my servant is dead. Therefore, the time has come for you to lead these people, the Israelites, across the Jordan River into the land I am giving them. I promise you,
[00:30:21] what I promised Moses, whenever you set foot, you will be on land. I have given you from the wilderness in the South of the Lebanon mountains in the North, from the Ifrit river in the East to the Mediterranean sea in the West, including
[00:30:41] all the land of the Hittites. No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live.
[00:30:49] for I will be with you as I was with Moses I will not fail you or abandon you here's my favorite be strong and courageous for you are the one who will lead the people to possess all the land
[00:31:10] I swore to their ancestors is that not so good be strong and very courageous be careful to obey all the instruction Moses gave you do not deviate from them even when you don't see anything coming from it even when they don't celebrate you stay strong and courageous be
[00:31:43] careful to obey the instructions Moses gave you do not deviate from them turning either to the right or to the left then you will be successful in everything you do study the word of God all of
[00:31:56] you that are on my prayer calls with me every single morning Monday through Friday 8 a.m we're reading the Bible through right now we're in judges in Joshua I had to preach this because there needs to be elaboration on this because God is using people that ain't scared people that don't
[00:32:09] stay stuck people that will pivot even when you don't have a crowd pushing for you is this only then is this meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it
[00:32:22] only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do this is my command be strong and courageous do not be afraid or discouraged for the Lord your God will go wherever you go see most people are
[00:32:36] praying for what they already possess you're praying for it you're waiting on another prophecy you're waiting on another sign you're waiting on another confirmation you're you're waiting on another opportunity and God is saying what you're going to do with what I already gave you
[00:32:55] you're still here the mere fact that you made it through some stuff yeah you might be the topic yeah they might be trying to cancel you yeah you may not be invited but the mere fact that you
[00:33:11] made it through something that they thought would drag you be strong and courageous see some of us are so focused on what we don't have that we've become blind to what God already placed in our hands I'm over here looking backwards banging on doors that God's closed
[00:33:37] giving CPR to dead situations well how I know it's dead it ain't opening it's worse than ever empty promises stressed out full of chaos and confusion people people love to to blame it on God I'm just under spiritual attack you've been under spiritual attack for two decades
[00:34:04] spiritual attack is when the enemy knows that you have some open doors when you have a people pleasing problem when you care about optics when you want people to just see how great you're doing
[00:34:25] I want you to see that I didn't die. I want to see my, I want you to see my glow up that now you're stuck because you want people that can't even pay your bills. They don't even know your
[00:34:43] middle name. Now you're just hiding. Now you're just dull in your shine. Every single time I post something now on social media, I'm like, what is this helping? Why am I doing what I am doing?
[00:34:55] because if it's always connected to people and what they think, you will be disappointed every time. Say, I am human. I have feelings, but I'm going to keep my feelings facing towards Jesus and I'm going to stop needing people to validate me when God already did. Listen to this. Some of
[00:35:24] us are so focused on what we don't have that we become blind to what God already placed in our hands. So the pivot that you're praying for isn't always about getting something new. Sometimes it's
[00:35:36] about finally using what you've been sitting on. Finally, it's perspective shift. I'm shifting the perspective of the way I look at things. They said it was ADHD, but I think it's superpower.
[00:35:52] They said I was learning disability, but I think it's just because I was so special. They wanted to spend one-on-one time with me. They said I was too much, but I was just too much for him.
[00:36:03] I was too much for her ain't nobody gonna ever love me and my five kids oh they gonna come into this and realize we're gonna have a free a whole basketball team somebody gonna love me and my
[00:36:16] basketball team it's shifting the perspective see the pivot you are praying for isn't always about getting something new sometimes it's using what you've got is stirring up on the inside of you knowing that God doesn't make junk you're the one saying I'm sleeping on me some of y'all like I
[00:36:34] ain't saying that well you need to because a lot of times you're not admitting it which means you stay stuck in it I think it's scary when you get to a place where you are comfortable you only get
[00:36:47] one chance at this life you know what's so sad to me is when people die and then their loved ones don't even give them a memorial service you didn't have anybody in your life that loved you
[00:37:05] to celebrate your life you are not coming back as a dog you're not coming back as another person you get to go be with Jesus everybody in this church because we live right we know hell's hot
[00:37:21] we ain't going there you keep asking God for another door but God keeps pointing to the keys already in your pocket they're there and some of you have been standing at the edge of your next
[00:37:38] season with one foot in your destiny and the other foot in familiarity I'm scared I'm old i'm about to get aarp i'm scared to move pk i've waited my whole life to retire retire for what
[00:38:00] you're just gonna what get you a camp that's dipping drink what what are we gonna do up in here it's like you live your whole life and allow a season in your life to define your lifetime
[00:38:22] and some of you are at that edge you're in that season because no one ever supported you you have gotten stuck you're asking people for direction and you would never want their life I want you to give me some advice why they didn't make it those people that didn't make it are the
[00:38:41] loudest ones they love to give you direction because then they don't focus on themselves so you're asking people how to build a house that ain't never built one you're asking people how to walk in your shoes and they ain't never tied your shoelaces
[00:38:57] because when God called you, he knew you were going to come in contact with a church called Limitless and he knew that you were going to have a woman up here.
[00:39:05] Everybody says she can't preach.
[00:39:06] She's a woman.
[00:39:07] Well, I am.
[00:39:08] That was going to tell you every day you can make it.
[00:39:11] There's something in you that is so important that the enemy has tried to take you out since you were an infant.
[00:39:17] I know it's felt lonely.
[00:39:19] I know it's felt isolated.
[00:39:21] I know you always feel attacked but it's because you have a legacy.
[00:39:26] well don't everybody got a legacy yeah but some of my may never gonna get it you're praying for a new while secretly protecting the old but a pivot say a pivot it's not just a change of
[00:39:45] direction a pivot is an act of courage it's realizing that I don't like this but I ain't laying here no more I like getting my for you page on social media I always get these horses
[00:40:07] I don't even have a horse but I will watch it anybody else will watch a whole five minute clip when you're done you're like well I will watch a baby a a horse birth a baby why birth
[00:40:26] the whole baby ain't he got a horse ain't never even ridden a horse but when I'm watching it I'm thinking about how that baby just knew that horse just knows exactly what to do and that's the same
[00:40:40] with you you may feel like you a baby elephant not knowing how to walk but you were built for this that's why you can't get away from it that's why you lay in your bed with these ideas that's
[00:40:58] why you feel like a caged lion because you are not like them. You can have the same DNA and you ain't like them. They call you the black sheep, but baby, in order to be a goat, you got to go
[00:41:14] through something. You're a black sheep, but you are the goat. You're the first one in your family that's got the courage to do something against the grain. You're the first one that is fighting generational curses breaking soul ties breaking alcohol breaking divorce breaking whatever you
[00:41:35] breaking four people who gave you the curse they ain't nothing like taking one for a team that don't like you ah so you're praying to for a new while protecting the old you want god to bless
[00:41:59] your future while you keep emotional storage units full of expired people, full of expired

[00:42:06] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_06]
[00:42:06] identities, full of expired, full of expired versions of yourself. Rental is still in your sleep is still in your peace. It's still in your confidence, still in your money. Cause you don't

[00:42:35] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_07]
[00:42:35] make no money in your feelings. We ain't waiting for somebody to come give it to us. We going after it you hear me why because greater is he that is in me than he that is in the God did just bring
[00:42:52] you into this house I didn't just bring you out of eight million people to come in contact with me he knew you needed a woman that sounded like she gargled with asphalt every day to get up and yell at you and tell you you got this I don't care what you've done you came in
[00:43:08] contact with me because we are limitless there ain't nothing you can't do at 70 80 60 40 30 20 so a pivot is not just a change of direction a pivot is an act of course because the hardest
[00:43:25] part about pivoting is not hearing God where's he at it's accepting that where you were you just cannot stay and some people miss their next air because they keep stuck on the last one what if
[00:43:42] it how do I know PK if it's God or if it's just my own voice how do I know it's not just me you don't well I'm just waiting on God no he waiting on you well what if I do it and it ain't
[00:44:01] God he'll catch you because faith is not faith unless you move when you don't know what to do so you move and if it ain't God he'll still use it but at least you ain't laying there
[00:44:18] getting fat you've been waiting on God for four decades you've been waiting on approval for ten decades you got more degrees than a thermometer and still ain't doing nothing because of what your daddy did what your mama did
[00:44:33] what your ex did I don't want to look stupid I hope I do I'm at least give you something to laugh at it's learning that when you fail it's not bad failure is not bad it's laying there
[00:44:50] failure is showing that you have the experience and the faith in God I'm just scared of making a mistake you're making a mistake not doing nothing all right listen to what Isaiah 43 18 through 19 says this is also what the enemy will do the enemy will send a whole bunch of people
[00:45:09] just like you you ain't got no business having a margarita Friday when you ain't done nothing what are you drinking a bottle of wine for what are you celebrating just trying to numb my pain
[00:45:29] Kim that's the problem listen what it says in Isaiah 43 18 through 19 it says but forget all that ain't nothing worse than getting drunk and trying to remember who you texted the night before
[00:45:41] then you beat yourself up because you said some things because when you drunk what's really in you comes out of you and you said some things you didn't have nerve to say now you don't want to
[00:45:52] show your face the next day that's sin sin makes you hide but God is good and he uses all of it so but forget all that it is nothing compared to what I'm going to do for I'm about to do
[00:46:09] something new see I have already begun maybe it was that DUI started a new work in you because you were like oh no I ain't laying on that bed no more my feet fell off of it
[00:46:24] I don't look good in orange we ain't never putting that thing back on again see sometimes a pivot comes from the mistake I have already begun do you not see it he says I will make a pathway
[00:46:36] through the wilderness I will create rivers in the dry wasteland so you cannot enter a new era with an expired identity so God is not just changing your location he's changing your posture he's changing your language he's changing your tolerance he's changing your appetite that's
[00:46:56] why your best friend all of a sudden when she calls you feel like i used to love hanging out with her but now i don't want to talk to her how do i tell her just put some distance there
[00:47:10] she'll get the hang of it because you get boundaries you get confidence your circle begins to change your standards begin to change this is not a small adjustment y'all this is a total recalibration and joshua one two moses moses my servant is dead so therefore now arise
[00:47:30] God starts this chapter with grief and movement mourned and move mourn and move in the same sentence grief and movement Moses is dead now get your butt up that's what he said that season is
[00:47:51] over now get up because sometimes God will let a season die while you're crying over it he's like okay okay I will never forget working at Belk only place in Fayetteville had to move back in
[00:48:09] with my mom and daddy after 36 years old lost everything I go get a job at Belk making nine dollars an hour I was killing it because I always was in this I'm gonna prove my worth I'm gonna
[00:48:23] prove I'm gonna prove you're gonna see you shouldn't have doubted me it was always people pleasing well I told all my people I was like y'all I just got a call I walked in and I was
[00:48:36] opening my counter and I said y'all I got a call from the manager and she said she wants to meet me in her office y'all know it's because I'm about to get a promotion all of a sudden I go in that
[00:48:52] back office and I sit down I'm like she said Kim she said I hate this but we gotta let you go let me go there's tons of people around my counter we're killing it she says gotta let you go you
[00:49:13] mean terminate me she said yes I said why she said you've been still in time what what I said I got bubble gum and I was like what you got time clock fraud I said how they said you have not
[00:49:37] clocked out five times I said so y'all thought I was sleeping in the store what in the world you think I'm actually sleeping in the you think it's my mic said you mean you thought I was
[00:50:06] sleeping in the store and they said it doesn't matter it's in the system and Belk says that when you don't clock out more than five times we have to let you go I was devastated I went home
[00:50:19] and I'm at my mama's. Two kids that need me. That's all the money they got. Sent my mom and daddy and I didn't want to make them pay for everything. I said, mom, I mean, I was laying
[00:50:36] their limp biscuit. I don't know what I'm going to do. She said, you're going to get up. I said, what am I going to do, mama? She said, kill him. She said, you are going to get up. Something
[00:50:49] greater is coming something greater is coming let's see make this is a soundtrack just make this a soundtrack so she said you're gonna get up and I said mama what am I gonna do she said
[00:51:06] but did it kill you I wanted to oh she said you're gonna get your butt up is what you're gonna do and you're gonna praise your way out and she said you're gonna realize that every door that is
[00:51:18] closed when you won't get up God will close the door because something greater is coming and sometimes you got so content that you would have stayed there y'all she said i'm gonna give you a couple of hours then i'm coming back in here we're gonna start looking for jobs that was
[00:51:37] devastating a district as a lauder manager calls her name was brandy she said kim just checking on you I said lose my number I got fired she said really I said yeah I got fired but I sure have
[00:52:01] enjoyed working for you I love you so much she said well I'm calling you just to check in but I got another job for you she said Bloomingdale's is a job we're gonna pay you almost double and
[00:52:15] she said, you're going to be the counter manager. She said, but I couldn't have hired you as long as you were at Bell because of the conflict of interest. No, who came in here today and you were
[00:52:29] looking at a closed door, like in this finale, that closed door was an interest into a new season.
[00:52:40] Y'all listen to me. You got to get up, write this down real quick. Stop asking God for permission to outgrow what he already called you out of. Stop asking God to help you. Stop asking God for
[00:53:01] permission to outgrow what he already called you out of. God told Abram to leave before he explained where. Go a little bit quieter. That's the hard part. We love details. God loves faith. You hear
[00:53:22] me some of y'all are at that door you're sad and don't even know why it's because you don't think you deserve it you got imposter syndrome on you you keep looking at how far you've come and instead
[00:53:37] of looking at what God's done in your life see God told Abram to leave some of y'all keep asking what if it fails what if they leave what if I'm wrong what if I outgrow everybody baby what if
[00:53:53] you fly see you can't keep shrinking to keep insecure people comfortable sometimes you got to start in the chicken coop just I don't know what what does she sound like just start when someone looks at you and says what are you doing you got to start getting out of your comfort zone
[00:54:18] I don't know what my next season looks like but I'm starting here and so every time you look at me and you try to stop me and make me feel like I'm going to hell on a slipper side
[00:54:28] because God is working all things together for my good write this down the old version of you cannot handle the next level of you y'all hear that right that's why you're uncomfortable you're uncomfortable because you're still trying to sit at the same tables that God called you out of
[00:54:50] God's calling you in this next season to build your own table and in order to build your own table you got to be steadfast with God that means waking up a little bit earlier see here's the
[00:55:01] thing that bothers me the most that if you don't get healed from needing people approval when God begins to blow you up because he is because you're connected to this house it's in this house this is
[00:55:17] an activating house but here's the problem if you don't get to a place where you're healed from the old wounds the wounds will lead you and God will begin to explode your world and you won't
[00:55:36] even enjoy it you won't enjoy the new building you won't enjoy the business you won't enjoy becoming the first millionaire in your family you won't enjoy anything because the whole time you're walking around still driving your Bentley and parking it in the garage because everybody
[00:55:56] keeps telling you oh you think you're better than everybody else say God I'm breaking levels i'm breaking strongholds i refuse to be emotionally unstable i refuse to respond to every text i refuse to explaining myself to people who are committed to misunderstanding me
[00:56:27] next sunday i'm preaching a sermon called stop trying to fix the lie so what if you did it it was free life college if they won't let you grow then they go you keep bringing up my past i don't
[00:56:48] even live there anymore i done sold all the furniture and everything return to cinder see your own family has a hard time sometimes letting you grow god is saying to you today i need you to
[00:57:05] heal enough to hold what you prayed for sometimes god doesn't come through because you ain't ready he's able but you ain't doing nothing you keep going back you know that joke ain't never gonna change you know that woman you ain't never gonna make her happy why do you stay in relationships
[00:57:25] especially if you ain't married they never happy with you it gets worse when you get married i'll have their baby and it'll change no it won't characters character characters character you know what i learned if they want to they will the next season cannot be carried by the
[00:57:53] insecure version of yourself some people are not grieving your old season because they loved you they are grieving because they had access to a version of you they could control but the new version prays first y'all ready stand up on your feet come on the new version leaves quicker
[00:58:13] the new version discerns manipulation the new version of you values peace the new version of you obeys God immediately and people who like the broken you are always going to struggle with the knew you how many say i'm gonna let some stuff go today how many y'all need to forgive how many
[00:58:39] y'all need to forgive yourself how many of you need to forgive yourself how many keep i mean you come on lift it high here's why i want everybody in this room to look 70 of the people in this
[00:58:54] room all said there's something i gotta forgive you know why because we are the weapons being used on ourselves the bible says no weapon formed against you shall prosper it did not say the weapon won't conform they said it wouldn't prosper however you can pick the weapon up and use it on
[00:59:10] yourself but you're about to break free I need to forgive myself PK on line dropper one here's what I want you to do you ready say Lord help me let it go help me love me like you love me Lord give
[00:59:32] me spiritual amnesia Lord don't let me keep thinking about this say self I forgive you for knowing now what you didn't know then sink in yourself for not being there for your kids forgive yourself for fighting that addiction forgive yourself for loving somebody too much
[01:00:11] you didn't waste one second stop bleeding on people that didn't cut you you're here god called you higher god called you out and this week because you know what the bible says the bible says that once you get understanding you're now accountable you know what that means you know
[01:00:36] that means you know what that means you better jump because today i told you what pivot looked like and if you're in this place and you say kim i turn my back on god because he didn't do what i
[01:00:53] wanted him to do in the time frame i wanted him to do it or maybe it was even church hurt but today i'm i'm turning my life back over to him because you don't wait to come to god when you get it
[01:01:03] together you come to god so he help you get it together you hear me if that's you lift up your hands if you say i'm gonna rededicate my life to jesus come on lift it up lift it up man i love
[01:01:12] this lift it up lift it up some of y'all get rededicated every week that's good one day it's gonna stink it's i at least you ain't going to hell every day i repent i lay in my bed god forgive
[01:01:23] me forgive me god forgive me all right everybody lift up your hands online drop a one say lord i repent of my sins i ask you to be my lord and savior to live in my heart to make my heart your
[01:01:42] home me be confidence help me let go of whatever needs to be let out of my life anything that can't go with me. Say, God, download your joy. Download your peace. Say, happiness, it's my new season.
[01:02:13] Say, I'm walking into a season of joy, unspeakable and full of glory. And today, I tell hell to where you belong. My hell, be a testament of what I made it through.
[01:02:35] Now do this, wrap your arms around yourself like this You ain't too grown to do this I need you to feel your arms Are just getting I need you to feel that because That's the one person on this planet
[01:02:57] That ain't never let you down You, let you down You might have quit, you might have walked through a season You don't like to talk about But we're going to talk about it, why?
[01:03:16] Because I made it through Heartache and pain So glad you made it You're welcome here listen in your family so we all need to start praying this week god thank you you hear me thank
[01:03:57] you y'all listen god ain't god is not embarrassed to you before you ever thought your mother's womb god already knew everything you were gonna do and he still said ah so receive it amen so baby i
[01:04:22] think since you wore michael t-shirt you gotta do the moonwalk man you already come on you already

[01:04:29] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[01:04:29] You already did the pivot here.
[01:04:30] You was like Beyonce in the car and stuff up there.
[01:04:33] You were still going.

[01:04:34] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_07]
[01:04:34] No, you need a moonwalk.

[01:04:35] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[01:04:35] That's how you pivot.

[01:04:36] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_07]
[01:04:36] No, you need a pivot and a moonwalk.

[01:04:38] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[01:04:38] Come on, baby.
[01:04:39] This is for looks.

[01:04:42] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_07]

[01:04:45] Y'all see what he did?
[01:04:47] It's the details.
[01:04:48] He wore a Michael shirt with the crown.

[01:04:51] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[01:04:51] That's the pivot.

[01:04:53] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_07]
[01:04:53] You get it?
