❓ What do these grades mean?
We do not issue this rating to attack the speaker, but to protect the listener. This ministry's overall teaching trend consistently deviates from sound doctrine. As per Romans 16:17, we identify these patterns so believers can guard their hearts.
🧐 Overview
Theological Verdict & Summary
Sermon Summary: A call to shift focus from worldly outcomes to the process of seeking God's face, emphasizing stewardship and humility as the path to experiencing divine glory.
Pastoral Analysis: The sermon offers practical applications for Christian living, such as focusing on process over results and recognizing God's ownership. However, it critically lacks an explicit presentation of the Gospel, relying instead on moral exhortation and behavioral commands without anchoring them in the finished work of Christ.
Biblical Parallel (Archetype): Pergamum — The sermon exhibits homiletical compromise by substituting the Gospel of grace with moralistic exhortation. While the core message is not heretical, it fails to anchor Christian living in the finished work of Christ, instead relying on human effort and behavioral modification, which aligns with the compromised state of Pergamum.
Big Idea: The glory of God will come into our lives when we recognize His ownership of creation, acknowledge His greatness with a pure heart, and seek His face in humility. 00:36:29 ▶️ 📄

🧭 Biblical Alignment Dashboard
Overall Verdict: Compromised / Weak
| Category | Status | Reasoning |
|---|---|---|
| Gospel Framework | ❌ FAIL | The core Gospel framework of Christ's substitutionary sacrifice and salvation by grace is not explicitly articulated. The sermon centers on Christian living and pastoral exhortation from the expounded text rather than an explicit evangelistic presentation of justification by faith. |
| Soteriology | ⚠️ WEAK | The sermon omits the Gospel Framework, focusing on moral effort and stewardship without grounding these duties in the monergistic work of the Holy Spirit or Christ's atonement. |
| Bibliology | ✅ PASS | Scripture is referenced appropriately, though the hermeneutical application leans heavily toward moralism. |
| Hermeneutic | ⚠️ WEAK | The hermeneutic prioritizes behavioral application over redemptive-historical context, leading to a moralistic interpretation of the text. |
| Theology Proper | ✅ PASS | God is portrayed as sovereign and glorious, though the relational aspect of grace is underemphasized. |
| Sacramentology | ⚪ N/A | No sacramental errors detected; no communion or baptism observed. |
| Confessional Depth | ❌ SHALLOW | The sermon lacks depth in explaining the theological 'why' behind the commands, relying on practical wisdom rather than doctrinal grounding. |
⚙️ The Core Gospel Framework ⚠️ Incomplete / Compromised
How this is evaluated:
- Essential Gospel Pillars: The framework is verified intact when the sermon substantively preaches Christ's atonement, declares human inability (articulated through either Total Depravity or the Law's condemnation), and guards salvation by grace alone against works-righteousness.
- Historic Confessional Depth: Deeper theological distinctives (such as the Active Obedience of Christ) enrich theological depth when expounded, but their absence in a focused topical or expository message is not an error and does not compromise the Gospel Framework.
🏛️ Essential Gospel Pillars
❌ The Cross & Atonement (Penal Substitution): Not observed in the sermon.
❌ Human Inability & Need: Not observed (neither human inability nor divine judgment was contextually proclaimed).
❌ Sola Gratia (Salvation by Grace Alone): Compromised
Soteriological errors detected regarding salvation by grace alone.
📜 Historic Confessional Depth
⚪ Active Obedience of Christ: Not explicitly expounded in this sermon.
Assessed under Confessional Depth diagnostic (SHALLOW). Its absence does not compromise the Gospel Framework.
⚠️ Theological Concerns
🟠 Major Gospel Omission (Thematic/Moralistic)
Root Cause: Moralism
The Belief/Behavior: The preacher relies on human effort and moral improvement as the primary means of spiritual progress, omitting the core message of salvation by grace through faith in Christ's substitutionary sacrifice.
Why It's Dangerous: This creates a burden of performance for the congregation, leading to spiritual exhaustion and despair when human effort inevitably fails, as it lacks the anchor of Gospel grace.
Biblical Correction: Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace you have been saved through grace. And this is not your doing; it is the gift from God, not of works, lest anyone should boast."
✅ Commendations
Pastoral Application | Practical Stewardship
The pastor effectively uses the analogy of Nick Saban's coaching philosophy to illustrate the importance of focusing on process over results, providing a relatable and actionable framework for believers.
Theological Insight | God's Ownership
The clear distinction between God as Owner and humans as stewards is a biblically sound and necessary correction to modern consumerism.

[00:06:00] We should be in the attitude, frame of mind of worship at all times.
[00:06:05] I'm speaking in the honest God truth.
[00:06:08] The prayer for you should be turning in our hearts at all times.
[00:06:12] We come together as a people to worship corporately.
[00:06:18] Everybody understand?
[00:06:20] But we should be in private worship at all times.
[00:06:23] That's why the concept of private worship and public worship, if people get it confused, they'll say, can worship at home you're supposed to but that's not a substitute for corporate worship everybody got it all right you got you don't leave that
[00:06:43] knows a bedside Baptist and Methodist Methodist a mattress Methodist don't cut it amen but we know all right that's okay so we already standing so calm that us worship the Lord and let us bow down before that means to submit amen before
[00:07:03] O God, our Creator, for we are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
[00:07:08] And our coming now is when the true worshipers of the Father shall worship Him in spirit and in truth.
[00:07:14] For they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.
[00:07:18] God is spirit, and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.
[00:07:26] Amen.
[00:07:27] Let us pray.
[00:07:29] Gracious Father, we come to invoke Your presence in terms of Your Shekinah glory.
[00:07:33] We recognize and appreciate your omnipresence, that you are indeed everywhere at the same time.
[00:07:40] But God, we want you to manifest yourself in terms of your Shekinah glory, so there's no doubt that we are in the full essence of who you are.
[00:07:49] So come Holy Spirit, come the heavenly dove, and fall afresh on all of us, and fill this house with your divine presence.
[00:07:56] This we ask in the marvelous and majestic name of Jesus the Christ, we pray. Amen.
[00:08:02] Amen. This morning we're going to lead you in a congregational hymn, I Am Thine, O Lord.
[00:08:08] Amen.
[00:08:10] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_06]
[00:08:10] I told you all this choir gets stuff started.
[00:12:48] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_03]
[00:12:48] I believe they used to sing with Michael Jackson, because they want to be starting something.
[00:12:54] Amen.
[00:12:56] You know the way to get nearer to God, or to Christ, you know how that is, right?
[00:13:03] The cross.
[00:13:05] But we don't want to bear it.
[00:13:07] and we ask God to do it right draw me nearer well how do you think he's going to do that in the cross amen our scripture lesson this morning is psalm 24 and we'll be reading verses
[00:13:23] one through six from the new living translation psalm 24 I don't recall that my 30 some years of preaching this year 36 of ever preaching from this text the earth is the lord's and everything in it the world and all its people belong to him for he laid the earth
[00:13:58] foundation on the seas and built it on the ocean depths who may ascend the mountain or may climb the mountain of the Lord who may stand in his holy place only those whose hands and hearts are pure who do not
[00:14:20] worship idols and never tell lies they will receive the blessings and have a right relationship with God their Savior such people may seek you and worship in your presence O God of Jacob and you're reading the NIV version
[00:14:44] I mean the New Living Translation you're reading some translation you're going to see the word Sheila and it's not to be read that means to stop and reflect on what you just read everybody clear on that?
[00:15:01] and I'm saying you realize people sometimes publicly they don't know and even sometimes people say song chapter 24 it's song 24 it's not chapter 24 it's not for you for those on cyber virtual platform
[00:15:16] and I just try to say it because you never know who knows that and I'm sure I hear many people sometimes preachers and all they get up and say the wrong thing and it's embarrassing
[00:15:25] because especially as a preacher we should know better amen so it's song 24 and it's not chapter and then some people don't know any better they get up and say the 24th vision division of song
[00:15:39] where there are only 5 divisions of song so you look at your bible and you will see that but that's where Sheila may stop and reflect on what we just read Amen Alright, mommy is going to pray for us
[00:15:55] and somebody else is going to have to pray sometime y'all, Amen We appreciate her powerful prayers but we all need to don't mind going before the Lord publicly

[00:16:22] No other help I know.
[00:16:25] If I draw myself from thee, where shall I go?
[00:16:30] Lord, we come this morning to give you thanks and to glorify your holy and righteous name.
[00:16:37] Because you've been so good, so good, so good to us.
[00:16:41] You woke us up this morning Clothes in our right mind And activities on our limbs Oh God we thank you for it And you gave us the strength Oh God Put on our clothes And come to the house of the Lord

[00:33:11] they seem to get rid of the person who they think is the weakest link from them winning the prize amen somebody and everybody's a vote on who they think is the weakest link and they do that and
[00:33:22] that person is out amen all right i'm gonna leave that alone uh but because uh somebody asked me and I appreciate it.

[00:33:50] I'm going to have to be the last one to leave.
[00:33:52] Really, I do.
[00:33:53] I have to be the last one to leave.
[00:33:55] My job is to protect the flock.
[00:33:58] I'm very serious about this.
[00:33:59] now I pray I'm not like Peter Peter told Jesus all what he was going to do and then when it came time for it Peter couldn't do it but what is it saying for I know someone knows
[00:34:15] SWOT weaknesses opportunities and threats you've heard that before and every person and every church has them every organization for that matter amen somebody and we have to know what they are because we can't address what we don't know what the situation is you know the doctors all we want
[00:34:47] to know they do an examination on you because they want to know what's going on in your body am i right because they can't treat what they don't know amen somebody and i know i've got how
[00:34:57] much pain we're in i remember when my i had a problem with my appendix when i was 15 years old and I really didn't know what was wrong.
[00:35:06] I was feeling okay until about Thursday and my side started feeling a little funny and by Saturday, it was feeling worse and I ate breakfast and it came back up and about three o'clock, four o'clock,
[00:35:20] whatever, maybe about five o'clock, I started moaning and groaning and my dad said, I better take that boy to the doctor.
[00:35:27] So they took me to the doctor and the doctor had to examine me first.
[00:35:31] Are y'all with me, church?
[00:35:33] to know what was going on in my body.
[00:35:36] And finally, when it got to the appendix, my, you know, pressing here, like, were you hurt?
[00:35:40] I said, were you hurting, right?
[00:35:42] And then they found out, well, you're hurting.
[00:35:44] They did further examination.
[00:35:45] And I remember them saying, we have to do surgery immediately.
[00:35:51] People ask me, was I scared?
[00:35:53] Scared? I didn't have time to be scared.
[00:35:58] And they did, and they said, just before they could take it out, it ruptured.
[00:36:04] You know.
[00:36:05] But I'm saying they had to do the examination.
[00:36:07] And likewise, that's true for every one of us.
[00:36:10] What is our weaknesses as individuals and collectively?
[00:36:18] We all know what our cousins' weaknesses are.
[00:36:25] We can say everything about our cousins.
[00:36:27] Let's get right into it.
[00:36:29] Blessed Father, your man is to have become at this most sacred moment to impart the word of life and truth.
[00:36:33] I ask for a fresh anointing of your spirit.
[00:36:35] Bring me the complete unction and utterance of your spirit so the word that comes from my mouth will be those ordained by you.
[00:36:39] speak lord as your servant is listening in jesus name we pray amen okay so you get abbreviated version uh of my the prayer this morning it's really more so coming on the complete unction and utterance of god's spirit so lately you've been hearing me preach and teach about the glory
[00:37:01] of god which is the sum total of the being of god is god's glory and glory which is is the weightedness of god or i call it is getting the sum total or the being of god amen and everything
[00:37:20] god is in his glory will be revealed huh i may say it later but even the song we say mine eyes have seen the glory what of the coming of the lord dr king quoted that the night before he was
[00:37:34] assassinated you remember in that song i've been to the mountaintop and he closed the sermon by saying my eyes i'm not worried about anybody not worried about anything because mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the lord when christ was born the bible talks about the glory of the
[00:37:52] lord the ark of the covenant is where the glory of the lord was kept and it's shown uh in where the ark of the covenant was so everything about is about the glory of god and in fact when the
[00:38:05] ark of the covenant was stolen by the philistine from israel a lady was giving birth to a child she named that child ichabod and ichabod means the glory has departed there was a time when god
[00:38:19] told Israel over and over again I don't like the mess you got going on in my church. Please
[00:38:25] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[00:38:25] stop it. And when Israel refused to stop it God said the glory of the Lord lifted from the ark and went to the threshold of the church and eventually the glory got out of Dodge. See God
[00:38:41] makes it clear. Everything cannot dwell in my house.
[00:38:45] My house is for my
[00:38:47] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_03]
[00:38:47] glory and my people to seek my presence or seek my face. Amen.
[00:38:54] Don't worry about the rest. It's a matter of fact.
[00:38:59] Remember I said, somebody brought it out at the Lake Connectional Lake Council evangelistic retreat about where people that tend to focus on results rather than the process.
[00:39:15] Please hear me now. Yes, I'm an Alabama fan, but you don't know why and why I appreciate Nick Saven so much.
[00:39:23] It's not because of the championships.
[00:39:26] It's because of who he is and what he teaches his players.
[00:39:31] Stop.
[00:39:31] In fact, he said somebody told him that.
[00:39:34] It was a professor at Michigan State.
[00:39:36] When they were not having a good season, the professor said, stop worrying and focusing on the scoreboard.
[00:39:46] If you focus on the process and play the game six seconds at a time
[00:39:52] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[00:39:52] or the one play at a time, the result would take care of itself.
[00:39:58] And that's what God is trying to tell us in the church today.
[00:40:02] Focus on my process
[00:40:04] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_03]
[00:40:04] and the glory will be revealed.
[00:40:08] So I can go through the other stuff trying to get to the glory, but I really can't get there and not go through the process.
[00:40:15] And this song here is telling us this morning about the glory of God.
[00:40:20] so don't get it twisted church I'm so sorry we hear so much mess in the church and yes it's time somebody got to call there are others who are calling it out you know you can never go back
[00:40:31] with the majority or saying that's old testament you can never even new testament you can never go by that I know what people say I got it
[00:40:42] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[00:40:42] and it always sounds great but chances are that is not what God is saying at all very few will be bold enough to stand up and proclaim what thus saith the Lord that has always been the case
[00:40:56] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_03]
[00:40:56] even when they were when Israel was in Babylon in captivity and there were lying prophets
[00:41:04] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[00:41:04] going around telling the folk God said you coming out you're not going to be here long God is on his way to get you out God said Jeremiah go tell them those prophets are lying
[00:41:16] I don't say that that's the one people get twisted I know the plans I have for
[00:41:25] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_03]
[00:41:25] you so I can just preach verse 11 without giving you the rest of it huh until God said I know the plans for you are you coming out no in that text God said go tell Israel they were well first of all I try to say this all the time
[00:41:44] find husbands for your daughters and wives for your sons and pray that the city prosper because if it does you will prosper also for they will be there 70 years before they come out I the Lord have spoken it
[00:42:01] you see what I'm trying to say church but if I could go quote down the church then after that after they pay for the debts
[00:42:08] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[00:42:08] they kept going on in my temple after they have paid for it then I shall bring them out
[00:42:15] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_03]
[00:42:15] because I know the plans I have for you you see the difference in that church huh come on now you see the difference in that i know i'm right do you see the difference in that
[00:42:24] if i just tell you god said but i don't know the reason why you're in captivity and maybe in captivity because of the mess that i've done and god has said you're not coming out
[00:42:34] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[00:42:34] until you pay for it people forget that forgiveness does not mean exemption from the mess i've done
[00:42:43] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_03]
[00:42:43] pay for the sins done in their bodies forgiveness does not mean exemption and unfortunately that's a lot of folks do the mess that they do. Oh, God will forgive. Yes, he will forgive, but you're still going to pay.
[00:43:01] Everybody will pay for the deeds done in their bodies.
[00:43:04] Whatever I've done, I got to pay for it before I check out of this earth. Amen, somebody. And everybody, we all have to be careful about what we do because we will pay for it. I know I'm right about
[00:43:17] it. Let's go to a big example. So Adam sinned. Did God forgive Adam?
[00:43:24] Huh? Come on.
[00:43:26] You know he did Okay Cause none of us would be here He forgave Adam Huh But Adam still died Huh God forgave David But that first child still died Come on somebody here But hear what we're teaching this morning here
[00:43:47] Yes God is a forgiving God But you still gotta pay Well let's move on I'll be right here at home today I'm not sure I gave you the subject or not But I let the glory come in
[00:44:06] Amen we get to it when we get to it let's just let's just move on the first thing is that the glory of god will come in when we recognize with a pure heart that this is god's creation the bible says
[00:44:23] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[00:44:23] the earth of the lord the world body that lives in it i'm gonna let that simmer for a moment the earth of the lord god made it god created it this is not my church it's not your church
[00:44:44] It's God's church.
[00:44:45] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_03]
[00:44:45] It ain't like the church belonged to us.
[00:44:50] This is not our country.
[00:44:51] I mean, like in terms of ownership.
[00:44:53] God made it.
[00:44:54] Amen, somebody, huh?
[00:44:55] The people belong to God.
[00:44:58] And God will never forget.
[00:45:00] Yes, he included us in the process of what we call reproduction.
[00:45:05] Amen.
[00:45:08] He allows us to have resources.
[00:45:10] But who's the source?
[00:45:12] God is the source.
[00:45:14] I know I'm right about it, huh?
[00:45:15] And so the Bible is clear that I don't get what we think or what people say.
[00:45:19] We are only stewards over what God has placed in our charge.
[00:45:25] That's all we are.
[00:45:27] But guess what?
[00:45:28] The day will come when I will check out of this earth and think that I was a steward over will be somebody else's.
[00:45:36] It's my house for a while.
[00:45:43] And with the government, which I think is the ultimate sin, I really do, to tax people's houses.
[00:45:50] Knowing, you know, so you really don't own it.
[00:45:51] Stop paying your taxes.
[00:45:54] So we do some crazy stuff in this world.
[00:45:57] Their place of residence.
[00:45:59] Huh?
[00:46:00] And let me just go and teach you.
[00:46:02] People talk about tithing.
[00:46:03] It ain't about the church.
[00:46:04] It's the government that's stealing, robbing us blind.
[00:46:09] Tithing ought to be paid.
[00:46:10] We don't add it up because they take it.
[00:46:12] You missed what I said.
[00:46:14] They take it.
[00:46:16] They won't ask you nothing.
[00:46:18] They take it from you.
[00:46:20] Come on, I know you don't talk to me.
[00:46:21] That's all right.
[00:46:22] that every person pay 30% in taxes and say
[00:46:26] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[00:46:26] nothing about it but let the pastor talk about tithe
[00:46:31] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_06]
[00:46:31] and we get land
[00:46:35] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_03]
[00:46:35] God don't want your money I said in my presentation yesterday when we talk about the scripture that God said that when God said the cattle on a thousand hills belong to me there's a context to that
[00:46:49] so you got to read they say above the verse you're reading You've got to read the study of the verse itself and after the verse.
[00:46:56] Because sometimes the reason why it's being told may be after the story.
[00:47:02] If I just read a verse nine times out of ten, I promise you, I get it twisted.
[00:47:10] Before that, when Israel didn't want to pay God tithes, God said to them, I need your money to buy from your stall.
[00:47:23] I don't need your cattle, your sheep, and your oxen.
[00:47:25] I did it so you might have you may experience the joy of giving and saying thank you Lord for God said if I was hungry I wouldn't ask you for the cattle on a thousand
[00:47:37] hills belong to me and I argue if God got hungry he'll pull a big mack out of his bosom he don't need what I have he's the one that gave it to me I know I'm right about it huh
[00:47:51] everything in it God on us and what we have amen somebody so it's not that we'll deal with that later but I promise you I'll prove it look how much gasoline they're going up who's fussing?
[00:48:05] we still riding come on y'all talk back to me I don't care what goes up even when tax is up we're not going to say anything I mean you're going to lose something but we're going to keep doing it
[00:48:22] so that's not what God is after and God ain't yeah there are crooked preachers there's another thing y'all we have been crooked preachers You both know the difference between the two.
[00:48:35] I'm in the hall.
[00:48:36] Can I just teach you all and get in touch?
[00:48:37] Why you don't know the difference between the two?
[00:48:39] Why you don't know a jack leg from a scraped leg?
[00:48:44] Huh?
[00:48:44] I'm serious.
[00:48:45] That thing go both ways.
[00:48:50] A real prisoner.
[00:48:55] One is coming up to the ranks and they preach a trial sermon.
[00:48:59] But for the people, do you know who's supposed to approve that sermon?
[00:49:04] The lay folks.
[00:49:05] I don't know what it is.
[00:49:09] I'm not knocking those that got the little tune.
[00:49:12] I'm just saying, but that's all we call preaching as a people.
[00:49:15] If you don't tune up, then you ain't preaching.
[00:49:19] Oh, I'm getting home now, huh?
[00:49:21] You got to tune up.
[00:49:23] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[00:49:23] And people don't even get into it until you tune up.
[00:49:26] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_03]
[00:49:26] You're on the iPads and iPhones and everything else until you tune up.
[00:49:30] Amen, somebody.
[00:49:31] Now you're preaching.
[00:49:32] Why?
[00:49:32] You done tuned up.
[00:49:34] Well, I didn't come here to tune up.
[00:49:36] You should have been tuned up before you got here.
[00:49:38] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[00:49:38] My job.
[00:49:42] My job is to give you what thus said the Lord God of Israel.
[00:49:49] That's what preaching is.
[00:49:51] We woke you up this morning.
[00:49:57] We got to make you feel good.
[00:50:03] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_03]
[00:50:03] I'm on the trip with a hangover.
[00:50:04] Didn't want the pastor to make you feel good.
[00:50:07] You know, I know we don't do that now, but in our younger days, y'all come on.
[00:50:10] We all be young.
[00:50:11] We know we just got out of the club last night.
[00:50:14] Where y'all think I've been all my life?
[00:50:22] We used to do it.
[00:50:24] And so did my friends.
[00:50:25] And so did my family.
[00:50:27] Amen, somebody.
[00:50:29] When the only thing that was a rule in the house, you live in this house, you go in the church.
[00:50:33] Anybody grew up that way?
[00:50:37] Yeah, you live in this house.
[00:50:39] Now, you live somewhere else, do what you want to do.
[00:50:41] You got your own house, that's you and your business.
[00:50:44] But as long as you're in this house, you are going to church.
[00:50:48] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[00:50:48] I don't care how late you stay out at night.
[00:50:50] You will get your stuff up in the morning and you go into the house of the Lord.
[00:50:55] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_03]
[00:50:55] And they better not catch you sleeping.
[00:50:58] I know I'm right.
[00:51:00] Y'all know I'm right about it, huh?
[00:51:02] See, that's the thing about it.
[00:51:03] I've been in church all my life.
[00:51:06] But I'm just saying, church, and really, that's not my job to force or try to coerce you into doing anything.
[00:51:12] Whatever you do for the Lord, God want it to be done from a cheerful heart.
[00:51:16] But we don't teach it.
[00:51:19] And the benefits it is, then most of us get our bills.
[00:51:22] I'm speaking to the younger generation, the boomers, and that generation succeeding them.
[00:51:27] We don't know how to save.
[00:51:30] Statistics teach us that.
[00:51:32] I know I'm right.
[00:51:33] We just spin.
[00:51:35] Y'all get me, huh?
[00:51:36] It's generational.
[00:51:38] See, the older folk before that, the silent generation, those previous generations, they knew they couldn't do that.
[00:51:43] Y'all better hear what I'm saying.
[00:51:45] The boomer, they think they want it.
[00:51:47] They getting it.
[00:51:49] Swipe.
[00:51:52] Now, oh, you're going to swipe.
[00:51:53] Now, just tap.
[00:51:56] Come on, somebody.
[00:51:57] Take those credit cards.
[00:52:00] Approved.
[00:52:01] Then the bill come.
[00:52:03] Do you know that it's statistics now?
[00:52:05] Watch this.
[00:52:06] why do you think the income of the church I'm not saying Seals Creek but I'm just saying it's general rule tend to go down in December and January and then it starts picking up a little bit maybe in February
[00:52:20] and then come the summer months guess what it starts dipping again because people are going on vacation amen somebody don't bother me y'all I'll just tell you what happens I promise that's true the overwhelming majority of churches
[00:52:34] huh because we use the money to go on vacation and go christmas shopping amen and so we don't we don't not learn to save as we should our generation because when we came along but not
[00:52:47] for all of us but for some of us things were more plentiful y'all please church i'll talk back to him things were more plentiful so we never really learned to save and our parents gave us stuff that
[00:52:59] they didn't have and back in the day we had to earn it you didn't earn it you didn't get it I know you're going to talk to him, let's just go on I got sense enough to know when people are going to talk back
[00:53:09] Amen But the Bible says in verse 1 The earth of the Lord and the fullness thereof
[00:53:17] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[00:53:17] And God will always be reminded of the fact that the world is here But we want the glory to come in Then we got to act like in our hearts and our minds That it's God's creation and not mine
[00:53:31] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_03]
[00:53:31] And I'll do it, that means we do what God has given us based on what he said and not what we want to do ourselves the next point is the glory of god will come in when we really recognize with a pure heart the greatness of god first of all we got to
[00:53:50] recognize that this is god's creation secondly that uh recognize that uh with a pure heart the greatness of god who god is amen said there's so many words but the lord said for he founded it
[00:54:05] up on the seas and establish it up on the water God did it let me say it again God did it and don't you know I believe that what I really believe one of the reasons the Bible says
[00:54:17] in the beginning God created the heaven and earth so we will never lose faith and know that if God made all of what we see amen somebody huh that we won't worry about our circumstances and situation
[00:54:29] we see what we call faith sometimes but not faith sometimes faith as long as I have it in my pocket okay I know you're going to talk back let the bills be due tomorrow and I'm broke today
[00:54:41] talk back talk back now it's part of our broken condition it's not a negative towards us but God wants us to realize what we are and that's where encouragement comes in at that's why we have to be careful what we say to one another
[00:55:03] Lord knows on Sundays because sometimes we just say anything out of our mouth. Like, let's say somebody missed church for a while. Where you been?
[00:55:13] What would they say going up?
[00:55:16] In my skin, when you jump, when I jump out, you jump in.
[00:55:22] Y'all remember that?
[00:55:23] Where I been? In my skin?
[00:55:26] What they're trying to say is it's not your business.
[00:55:30] Thank God they're here today. This is real stuff that happens in our churches.
[00:55:35] You know, I know it don't happen here, but, you know, we walk up to folks, new visitors coming to church for the first time and sit in our seat. And what are we going to say?
[00:55:47] This is my seat.
[00:55:50] I don't know how many seals creep, but I'm saying we do all kinds of stuff in churches and wonder why.
[00:55:58] We thank God.
[00:55:59] I really mean it.
[00:55:59] When I say I thank God for you being here.
[00:56:03] I don't care how many of you miss.
[00:56:04] I thank God you're here today.
[00:56:07] Yesterday is passing on.
[00:56:09] You can't go back and make yourself present for last week.
[00:56:13] But you can be here today and be here the next time around.
[00:56:19] See, thank God for what you have.
[00:56:21] I know I'm not an ideal pastor.
[00:56:26] Do you want me to say the rest?
[00:56:33] That's why I said me first.
[00:56:36] Because church is something I think they're the idea of church.
[00:56:42] Nobody's idea but God.
[00:56:45] Amen, somebody.
[00:56:46] You know what's wrong with the church?
[00:56:48] I bring some weaknesses to it and you do too.
[00:56:52] Only thing is we're always immune to our own mess.
[00:56:55] You figure that out tomorrow.
[00:56:59] Yours stinks more than mine.
[00:57:02] I can't stand yours.
[00:57:04] but I can tolerate mine you better hear what I'm saying this morning sometimes we can't tolerate the weakness of others but we got weaknesses all ourselves that's why I was blessed when somebody text me about
[00:57:19] the swan analysis I already know I said yeah we will tell you now I just haven't told you yet but I like always do church retreats because sometimes you got to get away from everything
[00:57:32] get away from the norm and you got to go somewhere to a solitary place, amen somebody, where you leave everything at home, amen somebody, and we be honest with ourselves about where we are because we owe it
[00:57:46] unto the Lord so we can be the best church that we are.
[00:57:51] You know what they tell us as preachers that we don't like to do? Listen to our own sermon.
[00:57:55] Oh Lord, you mean that's what I'm telling the folks?
[00:57:59] Come on, you don't want to, you catch it tomorrow. No, really, they're going to teach us that. If you got a problem with your own sermon what do you think the folks got i mean i'm saying there's
[00:58:20] a compliment now okay i really mean it now the choir sitting there they make mistakes i don't see it i bet she does and every day when all of you y'all know why they're the last one to leave
[00:58:34] church because she'll take them under the witch's head sometimes okay i got it because i know i know she's a beautiful young lady i really mean it with God, because somebody out there, I don't know what they'll think,
[00:58:47] but I kid with them because I think I can, because they're such a gracious people.
[00:58:53] So let me be serious. We are so blessed at Sears Seals Creek. I know we got great other things here, but you do have a top-notch choir.
[00:59:01] Amen. Amen. Now let me wrap this up. But I need to know that I don't care what I'm in, what my situation is, the choir was singing it this morning, God is able.
[00:59:13] and don't forget it what my situation is god is able to deliver me from everything
[00:59:25] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[00:59:25] that hinders me in life he's able church and this is what the text is trying to tell us i need to know the greatness of god i believe that what a songwriter meant that i will look
[00:59:38] into the hills from which comes in my help my help comes from god who made what the heaven and earth that if god made heaven and earth god can do all things so i'm not worried about the situation
[00:59:56] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_03]
[00:59:56] because it's not my job anyway it's god the one that delivers us that's what he's saying in this text let me just go ahead and close it i'm just to say this point because the time is up the glory
[01:00:11] of the lord will come when we seek we seek his with a pure heart we seek his face i'm just going say that okay the glory of the lord will come in remember what we're saying let the glory come in
[01:00:24] huh that means the fullness or the being of god see trouble and god cannot coexist you catch it tomorrow sickness and disease and god cannot coexist and please hear me now they cannot coexist it's one if the other one cannot be
[01:00:49] the demons tremble remember they put the Dagon in the temple and the next day he had fallen out with the Bible obviously they put him on a little statue thing a little pedestal and he fell off
[01:01:09] and they put him back up there again the next day and you know later they put him back up the next one he had fallen on his face and cracked up because God was saying
[01:01:20] now there can't be two gods here especially in my house now if he's going to be here I can't be but since this is my house he's got to go you missed it huh so let me just close out with that
[01:01:36] and so to seek his face means it's not it's a secret relationship with him and to seek his will and his ways that's why the prayer scripture we like to quote we're leading up to the prayer
[01:01:50] that if my people I want you to finish it now.
[01:01:54] I'm really through with this. I don't want you to take you no, I'm going to take me. We're going to be fair in this thing.
[01:02:01] Amen. Fair is fair, right?
[01:02:03] If my people were called by will what? Humble themselves and
[01:02:10] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[01:02:10] seek my face. You have us to do. God is in God.
[01:02:29] That's what prayer is about.
[01:02:32] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_03]
[01:02:32] It's not a Sunday class list.
[01:02:34] Dr. King used to say sometimes we make God a cosmic bellhop God do this, God do that, God do this God do this, God I want you to move and God is saying I wish you would move too
[01:02:47] Amen I'll move when you move Okay, but really that's what singing in space means and when we are sincere about that the Bible says they will receive the blessing from the Lord and vindication from God their Savior
[01:03:05] for such is the generation of those who seek his face oh God of Jacob and then to write a close up think about the many songs that we sing about his glory down at the cross
[01:03:17] where my savior died and then there's a part we start singing glory to his name am I right somebody glory to his name and then what the choir said let the glory of the Lord
[01:03:28] rise among us
[01:03:31] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[01:03:31] let what the glory
[01:03:34] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_03]
[01:03:34] not what I want not what you want and in the song we sing that Jesus keep me near the cross there's a part that says in thy cross be my glory it's all about the
[01:03:52] glory of God that's why when they built the temple and the top of Naco the glory of the Lord filled the house because God is and that's what my house is about in other words the glory may not be
[01:04:04] something I can see with my physical eye but there's a presence there's something in the atmosphere I can feel it's different in here than it is on the outside that's what God is trying to tell us
[01:04:18] yes my glory is with you wherever you go that's why I watch this church you can't hide who you are because the glory of the Lord is upon you people can see it and they'll know it
[01:04:29] and sometimes we've gone to places we shouldn't go somebody know you don't belong I know I'm right about it Because you can't hide.
[01:04:38] They see the glory of the Lord on your life.
[01:04:40] Amen.
[01:04:41] But like the same thing is true when you come in this house.
[01:04:43] God is there.
[01:04:44] I want them to feel my presence.
[01:04:46] They feel my glory.
[01:04:48] There's something in the atmosphere.
[01:04:50] I can't explain it.
[01:04:52] All I know is that there's something in this house that's different.
[01:04:56] So the word goes, the song goes on.
[01:04:58] It says, lift up your heads, all your gates, and be lifted up.
[01:05:04] your everlasting doors and what the king of what come on say it with me the king of glory
[01:05:11] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[01:05:11] shall what come in who is this king of glory the lord strong and mighty the lord mighty in battle lift up your hands oh you gate even lift them up your everlasting doors and what king of glory
[01:05:30] shall come in. Somebody asked again, well, who is this king of glory?
[01:05:35] The Lord of hosts.
[01:05:37] The Lord Almighty.
[01:05:39] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_03]
[01:05:39] He is the king of glory.
[01:05:42] Let the glory come in.
[01:05:47] What people don't know is we can handle the glory. Amen.
[01:05:53] By doing what we want to do.
[01:05:55] How we want to do it.
[01:05:56] When we want to do it. We do what God tell us to do. Amen, somebody?
[01:06:01] And God said, don't forget that who's the creation who the creation is this everything is mine it's not yours I let you be a steward over it while you're here but it's not yours and don't act like
[01:06:15] it's yours and don't operate like it's yours it's not yours it's mine and I let you be a steward over what is mine amen and then don't forget my brothers and sisters he's saying that
[01:06:31] let the glory come in when we recognize his greatness in our heart, from a pure heart.
[01:06:37] God is great. God is awesome. When I need something, I don't look at the circumstances. I look to God. Amen.
[01:06:45] Because he's greater than my circumstances. Amen, somebody.
[01:06:48] And then when we seek his face, that's the message for today. Amen. Will you let the glory come in?
[01:06:56] I said, will we let the glory come in? Don't you want the glory to come in?
[01:07:02] and I mean in a greater way, God may always be here in some measure, I'm not ever arguing that but I mean a glory in a different way, in a more powerful way more meaningful way, for it's so obvious
[01:07:12] when anyone enters these doors, they will know there's a presence that's here, that's different than you experience anywhere in the world word of God for the people of God may God bless the message and bless the hearers thereof
[01:07:28] invitation is now extended for anyone who wants to accept Jesus Christ is the Lord and personal Savior.
[01:07:35] Let Christ come into your life.
[01:07:38] You do what no other power can do.
[01:07:40] You do what no one else can do.
[01:07:44] Amen.
[01:07:49] We're going to sing another song for you.
[01:07:51] Amen.
[01:08:16] Yes, yes.
[01:08:17] If you want to accept Christ, unite with this church fellowship or rededicate your life.
[01:08:42] Come of thee, O Lord, thine own have we given thee.
[01:11:58] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_01]
[01:11:58] Baby seated.
[01:12:30] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_03]
[01:12:30] Announcements.
[01:12:31] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_00]
[01:12:31] Good morning, church.
[01:12:48] we don't have very many announcements this week please remember that today is the last day to turn in money for the fish fry immediately following service if you would just stay in your seat we're going to discuss that a little bit more and make sure that we have everything
[01:13:06] all collected and that fish fry is this coming friday so you are free and available y'all can come up and assist with that as well saturday um is the harvest tea for the salisbury district
[01:13:22] but also saturday is the homegrown service for sister connie miller so the service is will be here and it starts the visitation is 11 and the service will start at noon do not forget sunday
[01:13:40] was supposed to be homecoming service for us but because pastor is going to be out of town Sunday homecoming has been moved to the following Sunday so the fourth Sunday so next Sunday we will recognize
[01:13:56] lay day during service so next Sunday will be lay day this is all I have amen
[01:14:12] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_03]
[01:14:12] I didn't know where the sitters staying amen thank you doctor for the announcements and let's be prayer you offer those who may have been affected by the storms hurricanes and I think it was I think I heard three that are approaching or could hit the United
[01:14:37] States is that right I don't recall that ever being the case it didn't happen to have got a lot of wouldn't get some rain but not a lot the connection of Lake Council evangelistic retreat was in Daytona Beach and so Friday morning we
[01:14:55] had sunshine but we did have some cloud and rain and some wind but not a lot a lot so we thank God for that my wife is in Atlanta with the you know we she are
[01:15:06] the assistant to ministry of assistant to Fort Bishop and mrs. leak and so she's in Atlanta for their annual conference so be thankful that you have people that are recognized throughout the church and she did so they have a
[01:15:25] lot of wind and rain yesterday you know so she'll be scheduled to be home tonight our heart goes out to the angle family what's her grandson name again the one in Knoxville Ricky so you know he came
[01:15:42] to me when I was in Knoxville and yeah and said the grandmother told him he's better come and he was there too amen so we're grateful for that and then also to the family of
[01:15:56] mrs myra cutherson right yeah regarding her daughter so i don't know what i'm trying to see both families if i can at the church so i try but i'm one individual but what i'm trying to
[01:16:12] trying to teach is the church the church has responsibility you can't put certain things off on one person that's what I've been trying I believe in that I've always have never not visited in my entire life
[01:16:24] even those that you all know nothing about I'm one I'm trying to get to see someone that's incarcerated with two people that's incarcerated that's not even here the other distance I've always have done that my
[01:16:36] entire life because you can't forget about people and even in our denomination, I'm trying to lead the effort for Zion to implement, I hate to call it a prison ministry, but you know what I'm talking about.
[01:16:48] That we don't forget about those who are incarcerated. Amen?
[01:16:52] And we minister to know how to minister to people.
[01:16:56] So that's another issue too.
[01:16:58] Sometimes we want to minister, but we don't know how.
[01:17:01] We have to be taught how to do it and what they're experiencing until we know how to address it in a godly and righteous manner. Even people that the grieving you know and that great counselor would tell y'all we do a horrible job with that
[01:17:15] we make people you know say stuff that we shouldn't say don't mean no harm we don't mean harm now we just don't know amen and here's one of the favorite one will tell people that is
[01:17:28] totally unscriptural god never said this he will not put any more on you and you can bear totally erroneous that's not what God said God said the opposite casual cares on him for he cares about you
[01:17:45] so you have people sometimes trying to bear up on the stuff that they can't deal with because we told them bottom line we're trying to say that's a reflection of your strength and walk with the Lord
[01:17:57] and it's the opposite is true are you with me church so you talk to a Greek counselor they're going to tell you all we do a horrible job in churches and trying to comfort people
[01:18:08] when they're going through their situations.
[01:18:11] Amen?
[01:18:12] And then lastly on there, for those who are wondering what to say, I don't know what to say.
[01:18:16] Here's what they teach us as pastors and for us to teach our congregation.
[01:18:21] It's the ministry of presence that matters the most by far.
[01:18:27] You don't have to say it, but greet them.
[01:18:29] A word is being there.
[01:18:33] Everybody can be there.
[01:18:35] Come on somebody, huh?
[01:18:37] I just dropped by to see you for a few moments that's all that's all it takes I don't have to fix their problem I can fix it anyway my job to fix it I don't know anything else I need to say
[01:18:57] but God bless you all love you and just have a great week whose birthday
[01:19:05] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_00]
[01:19:05] oh okay
[01:19:11] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_03]
[01:19:11] Dr. Shante why y'all laughing yes sir Who's Wednesday?
[01:19:26] Sister Annie?
[01:19:28] You was Wednesday?
[01:19:31] I'll give you an age because you got a daughter.
[01:19:39] Okay, so let me make it right.
[01:19:43] She's 10 and you're 35.
[01:19:46] I got to fix it up.
[01:19:49] Fix it up, real.
[01:19:50] Fix it up.
[01:19:51] Okay, who's going to lead us in singing the birthday song?
[01:19:54] I can't lead every birthday song now.
[01:19:55] Come on, y'all.
[01:19:56] Y'all got to do song yourself.
[01:19:58] Melvin Will.
[01:19:59] Okay, all right.
[01:20:00] That's good.
[01:20:52] Amen.
[01:20:53] So I pray God's blessings upon you all for your birthday.
[01:20:56] Amen.
[01:21:00] Now unto him who is able to keep you from falling.
[01:21:07] And here's the point.
[01:21:07] To present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy.
[01:21:15] To God our Savior, to the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, now and forever, let the saints of God say.
[01:21:29] now just before you go I have asked a young man
