The Gospel of Vision: When Self-Help Replaces Salvation

[00:00:01] I am so grateful that you're joining us here at Transformation Church today and I'm proud of you because you are starting your year out in the house of God.
[00:00:11] I believe God is about to do something so powerful in this year and I'm about to share vision about what I know He's going to do here but I believe it's what He's going to do in your life because vision is so valuable and it's Vision Sunday at Transformation Church
[00:00:26] Today I'm going to tell you the word of the year that guards prophetically our house and what we're to do.
[00:00:32] But I don't think it's just about the organization.
[00:00:35] I think it's about the organism.
[00:00:37] You, me, and what God's calling us to.
[00:00:39] So I want you to get ready.
[00:00:40] But before we get into the message,
[00:00:42] I gotta shout out everybody who has been joining us a part of 21 days of prayer and fasting we made it seven days y'all and tomorrow we are starting day eight and you may be watching this at a later time and you're saying what's happening with prayer and fasting we are pushing away our plate and things that are pleasurable to us to actually get into God's presence and make a connection so we can hear from him clearly that we can see what he wants to do in our life and get clear vision and so join us

[00:01:34] this word is going to change everything get your paper get your smartphone get your dumb phone and let's go into the word of the year and see what God has to say to you so are you ready for vision no y'all didn't say i said are you ready for vision get your bibles out get your notepads your smartphones your dumb phones your ai translators your meta glasses get everything ready
[00:02:02] Because today I'm going to give you vision.
[00:02:05] I want you to write this down.
[00:02:08] Vision is most valuable.
[00:02:12] People many times think that money is more valuable than vision.
[00:02:18] Because right now, if I told you, hey, I'll give you the vision for your next 10 years or I'll give you a million dollars, most people would take the million dollars.
[00:02:28] And the crazy thing about that is when you take the million dollars, you don't know what to do with it.
[00:02:33] You have no vision for that money.
[00:02:37] And we have been duped in this culture to think that something we can hold is more valuable than something that we hold.
[00:02:45] Something that we hold.
[00:02:47] And that's why a lot of times we give away our wealth and value because we do not understand how priceless and valuable vision is.
[00:02:55] But I just want you to say it with me.
[00:02:57] Vision is most valuable.
[00:03:00] What do you need to get a vision of?
[00:03:03] It is not the time.
[00:03:04] It is not the resources.
[00:03:06] It's you don't have a clear picture of who you want to be.
[00:03:10] You do not have a clear picture of who God's called you to be.
[00:03:14] You do not have a clear picture.
[00:03:16] And so what happens is you get a whole bunch of distractions and suggestions.
[00:03:22] on what you should be.
[00:03:24] That's why some people, they change their hair every two weeks because you see something on Instagram and you're like, well, maybe I would look good with the blonde.
[00:03:32] Or maybe I would look good with the short.
[00:03:34] Or maybe I would look good with the...
[00:03:36] They got men out here putting on toupee pieces.
[00:03:38] Have y'all seen that yet?
[00:03:41] I'm not talking about I'm talking about the whole like the whole I got some brothers saying chill out I see you and what I'm saying is no hate because in my stuff going I'm going to Turkey but what I'm telling you right now some of y'all know what I'm talking about
[00:03:59] but the truth of the matter is you look better bald but right now there are some people that they keep looking to try to find identity in other things and the reason why it's so easy to try to become everything else is because you don't know who you are and most people live their whole life trying to fit into a version that will be acceptable to a mini group of people when God says I called you to be one of one
[00:04:26] Do you have that vision on the inside of you?
[00:04:28] Today I came to talk to some one of ones.
[00:04:30] I came to talk to some people who know that God made you uniquely different on purpose.
[00:04:35] That God did not mess up with you.
[00:04:37] That he used all of his creativity to create only one of you.
[00:04:40] And you will not stop just because you might not be in trend right now.
[00:04:46] Okay, let me stop.
[00:04:48] Because if you go with the trend, you will end up sacrificing what God's called you to.
[00:04:55] And today I have to give you vision so that you can stand on ten toes down what God has called you to.
[00:05:04] That's why vision is most valuable.
[00:05:09] And the reason I have to get up here and share it year after year is because I want to tell you a truth about vision.
[00:05:13] Vision leaks.
[00:05:16] Have you ever told your kid what to do and they forget every morning?
[00:05:21] How in the world do you forget every morning?
[00:05:24] huh have you ever worked with somebody or worked for somebody and you tell them what to do this is the vision we come in we smile we say hello and then you come in and they frown in and you're like hey do you not remember it's because many times when you give a standard if the standard is not rehearsed repeated and regurgitated it starts to mutate
[00:05:52] The reason why I have to talk about vision all the time in this church is because the vision cannot get diluted because God is doing great things in us.
[00:06:03] People are missing the blesser because they're handling the blessings.
[00:06:09] The very thing you pray for now has you not praying.
[00:06:14] The very thing that you believe for now is the reason why you not doing the thing God told you to do.
[00:06:19] This is where I'm telling you we have to stay on vision.
[00:06:22] And so today I want you to open up your heart to be able to receive because Proverbs 29 18 tells us where there is no vision, where there is no prophetic word, where there is no glimpse into the future, the Bible says the people perish.
[00:06:40] Death is on the other side of living a life of distraction.
[00:06:45] Where is the thing that you still doing that he told you to do five years ago?
[00:06:51] Real question.
[00:06:53] What are you still doing today that he told you a decade ago?
[00:06:58] What are you still doing today?
[00:07:00] I know economies have changed.
[00:07:02] I know people have changed, but his word didn't.
[00:07:07] Are you still doing what he said to do?
[00:07:09] And this is another translation that says where there is no vision, people stop caring.
[00:07:15] And I don't know about you, but we look like we live in a generation where people don't care if people are taken care of.
[00:07:22] It's like we live in a generation that don't care if people know Jesus or not.
[00:07:26] It's like we live in a generation that doesn't care if we actually show the characteristics of Christ as long as we go to church.
[00:07:35] It means that it's exposing that we probably have a lack of, somebody say vision.
[00:07:41] So today, I'm gonna take you on a journey to give you what I believe is four truths about vision.
[00:07:48] And I'm gonna give them to you right here.
[00:07:49] Bop, bop, bop, bop, okay?
[00:07:51] This is what you need to know about vision.
[00:07:53] And this is not something I'm testing out.
[00:07:55] This is proven over many years of my life, and I want to give it to you after I have lived this, okay?
[00:08:02] Four truths about vision.
[00:08:04] Number one, vision needs a vessel.
[00:08:08] There is no vision that God will give that he does not give to a vessel.
[00:08:13] And somebody needs to say by faith, I'm that vessel.
[00:08:16] Come on, say it with faith, I'm that vessel.
[00:08:19] Could God trust you with an idea?
[00:08:21] Some of y'all saying, yeah, but you won't even write it down.
[00:08:27] No, I want you to think about it.
[00:08:29] Vision needs a vessel.
[00:08:32] There are things that could change your life.
[00:08:34] The Bible says that God gives us the ability to produce well.
[00:08:38] He could give you one idea, that ring camera.
[00:08:41] Y'all seen that?
[00:08:43] The doorbell that has a camera attached to it.
[00:08:47] One guy believed in this vision, took it on the shark tank.
[00:08:50] This thing blew, how many people in this room or watching online have a ring camera, some type of ring device?
[00:08:56] it was bought for billions of dollars by another company this man's one idea and execution and implementation of something that people told him would not work has changed the life of not just him and his family it's changed all of our life we can still see if people still in our packages we can be in Dubai and be like get out of here you understand what I'm saying like
[00:09:22] You can tell if your kids are home or not.
[00:09:25] My ring just went off.
[00:09:27] It has changed, watch, the fabric of how people live because there was an idea trusted with somebody who did not need committee agreement to execute.
[00:09:38] And most of us, we want everybody to agree when God gives vision.
[00:09:42] I bet Noah felt crazy out there day after day building an ark and they had never seen rain in his area.
[00:09:52] It ain't just a big boat.
[00:09:53] There's no rain.
[00:09:55] Where's the water coming from, Noah?
[00:09:59] They probably made fun of him.
[00:10:00] They probably talked about him.
[00:10:02] He probably was the butt of a lot of jokes until it was drip, drop.
[00:10:06] Drip, drippity, drop.
[00:10:08] And when the rain started coming, everybody like, Noah!
[00:10:13] Hope you can swim.
[00:10:14] No.
[00:10:17] Vision needs a vessel.
[00:10:22] Will you be a vessel that God can drop vision into?
[00:10:26] Can He trust you with it?
[00:10:28] Because our God is all-powerful, all-knowing, but He chooses not to do anything on this earth without the participation of one of His creations.
[00:10:37] God just change it through you.
[00:10:41] God just heal it through you.
[00:10:43] God just meet this financial need through you that's why your business needs to be blessed but you can't become greedy because God's saying I'm trying to get something to the earth but I need to do it through you vision needs a vessel somebody say by faith one more time I'm that vessel get ready for vision sleep with a notepad next to your bed
[00:11:05] Get your voice recorder on your home screen so you can be ready to capture the song, capture the note, capture the theme.
[00:11:11] Be ready to create because what we are is professional catchers.
[00:11:16] When God drops vision, all you gotta do is say, where is it coming from?
[00:11:19] Where is it coming from?
[00:11:21] And many of us are trying to discover what God will give if you're ready.
[00:11:26] You're trying to bite off of somebody else's five ways to create a million dollars and God will say, I'll give you exactly what you need, but will you come into my presence?
[00:11:33] That's why I'm so glad that this church honors 21 days of prayer and fasting.
[00:11:38] And today we're on day seven of being in this time of fasting, praying two times a day, praying all throughout the day, pushing away our plate.
[00:11:46] Why?
[00:11:47] Because this is the environment that vision comes clearly.
[00:11:52] If you haven't joined us on this fast, I'm telling you, day eight, eight is the number of new beginnings.
[00:11:56] I may start all my fast on day eight from now on, but what I'm saying to you is this is the season where you start.
[00:12:05] Why?
[00:12:05] Because you want clear vision.
[00:12:08] But if God gives it, will you be the vessel that just doesn't know it but acts on it?
[00:12:14] Because faith without works is what?
[00:12:17] Death.
[00:12:18] How much vision is rotting in you?
[00:12:24] How many people have ever said, I had an idea like that?
[00:12:29] Watching the news, watching all this other stuff.
[00:12:31] Man, he stole my idea.
[00:12:33] No, he executed on it.
[00:12:36] He didn't steal nothing from you.
[00:12:37] You was never going to do it.
[00:12:39] God gave you an opportunity but you said well I don't know anybody who makes that and I'm not even in this field and I don't even know how to cook how could I da da da and God said why are you putting all of the limitations on what I have dropped in you the limitations are for you to surpass so that you can become who you don't know you are right now if you would just take a step of faith if you would just move outside of your comfort zone your mama didn't have to do it your daddy didn't have to do it nobody around you have had to do it if you would trust me I'll do the impossible through you
[00:13:10] but vision needs a what?
[00:13:11] Vessel.
[00:13:14] Today, I believe the Holy Spirit is looking around the whole earth and saying, do I find somebody, do I find a vessel with faith that can believe that what's impossible right now can be in their hand in another season?
[00:13:28] Point number two, vision must be visible.
[00:13:34] It's not real if it's not written.
[00:13:39] It's not real.
[00:13:40] Oh, I got all these plans in my head.
[00:13:42] They're not real.
[00:13:45] The Bible gives us clarity in Habakkuk 2.2 when he tells us, watch this, and God answered, write this, write what you see.
[00:13:59] Write it out in big block letters, make it big, so that it can be read on the run.
[00:14:08] God said, I want your vision to be written out to where other people who are not going to be a part of it can see what God's about to do in your life.
[00:14:19] Well, I don't want to tell nobody because what if it don't happen?
[00:14:25] Then we grew.
[00:14:27] What if it don't?
[00:14:28] God doesn't need you to be his PR manager.
[00:14:31] He's never needed your defense.
[00:14:33] He is God, been God, will be God even after all of this stuff goes down.
[00:14:39] And a lot of times some of us are saying that we're trying to save God and save face for God, but it is actually our fear that lead us.
[00:14:47] We're saying, lead me on.
[00:14:48] Usually it's our fear we're following.
[00:14:51] And today I'm coming to challenge you, switch into your faith.
[00:14:56] Write it down.
[00:14:57] Who you gonna be at the end of this year?
[00:14:59] Write it down.
[00:15:01] What is God gonna do in your family?
[00:15:03] Write it down.
[00:15:05] What is God going to heal in your mind and your spirit?
[00:15:08] Write it.
[00:15:09] It is not real if it is not written.
[00:15:13] It needs to be big like billboard big.
[00:15:16] I thought about this the other day.
[00:15:18] Does anybody know how big like the billboards are that we drive by on the highway?
[00:15:23] because I started to think about it because I ain't never seen a billboard in real life like off the highway they just always on the big pole in the middle of the things and it's crazy because I thought about that as I was driving on the highway this week I thought about this scripture because it says write it down in big block letters so that it can be read on the run the only reason that you can read what's on a billboard is because of how big it is people can read Sherwin Williams going 75 miles an hour
[00:15:54] That has to be a big size.
[00:15:56] Does anybody for real know how big a billboard, what you think it is?
[00:16:01] Huge, that's not a number.
[00:16:04] Well I found out, it's 15 feet by 50 feet.
[00:16:09] This is the size of an average billboard.
[00:16:14] Now I just want everybody to see me standing next to a billboard.
[00:16:23] This is what's usually on the highway.
[00:16:27] Look how big this has to be for people to be able to see it from afar off.
[00:16:35] Your life has to say, I will live healthy on a big billboard so people who are far off can be able to see.
[00:16:46] Look at that.
[00:16:48] I can do a whole dance up here.
[00:16:53] I can wave at people from far off and they can't hear what I'm saying, but they can see what I've written down.
[00:17:02] Follow Jesus!
[00:17:03] I can say that all day, but in the car, fume, fume, fume.
[00:17:08] But what's written will be the thing that people who are far off can not just read, they can decide if they want to run with it too.
[00:17:18] and the thing about this scripture that gets me excited is when you actually take your vision and write it down it proves that you believe that it's going to move somewhere other than that paper because it says write the vision down make it plain so that it can be read on the run running requires movement and it also requires in this scripture it infers that somebody else is coming alongside of you to run with you
[00:17:43] and some of you I believe that there's divine partnerships coming to your 2026 that things and people you've been believing for this ain't for everybody but for everybody who has faith to believe it you can grab it I'm believing that God is bringing people who are going to run with the missing pieces that you need but how will they know what it is if you do not write it down
[00:18:04] The most spiritual act that many of you could do this year is actually take some time, set that phone on do not disturb, turn the music off, pray, and ask God, what am I supposed to do?
[00:18:17] And write down whatever you think you hear.
[00:18:20] Well, what if I know it's God?
[00:18:21] Write down what you think you hear.
[00:18:24] Well, I need to know it's from God.
[00:18:25] Just write down what you think.
[00:18:29] God is good and he will confirm it.
[00:18:31] I have had people come out of nowhere
[00:18:33] I don't know why I'm saying this to you but God's come he just I just woke up and I just saw this this thing and it would be the exact thing that I was praying about and they don't know they feel nervous and weird and I don't know but I just need to say this to you and I'm like I know exactly why you said that thank you for obeying God God knows how to confirm his word but does he have anything to confirm it to
[00:19:02] Write the vision because vision must be visible, okay?
[00:19:07] So number one, vision needs a vessel.
[00:19:10] The second one is vision must be visible.
[00:19:13] Third one, here we go.
[00:19:14] Vision must be vast.
[00:19:17] It's got to be big.
[00:19:19] It's got to be bigger than what you're thinking right now.
[00:19:22] It's an idea if you can do it by yourself.
[00:19:27] But it's a vision if you need God's help.
[00:19:30] This is how I wrote it down.
[00:19:31] Vision must be vast.
[00:19:33] If God doesn't need to show up I need to shut it down.
[00:19:38] It's not a vision if God don't need to show up.
[00:19:41] y'all didn't hear what I just said some of y'all trying to play it so safe and make everything look like a win and make everything look like I'm just progressing from glory to glory from faith to faith and God is saying you ain't gone nowhere you just turning circles every year acting like it's a new thing that's just a different angle of the same thing what I want you to do is move into what I have for you and until you actually get to the point where you say God this is too little
[00:20:05] This is too small.
[00:20:06] Why am I believing just for this little house to be paid off?
[00:20:09] I'm believing to get this house away.
[00:20:11] God, why am I believing just for this thing to touch this many people?
[00:20:15] God, I want it to touch the world.
[00:20:19] And I know what I'm fighting through.
[00:20:21] I'm fighting through a lot of disappointment right now.
[00:20:24] Let me acknowledge it.
[00:20:26] I'm fighting through a lot of people who have been on the other side of trying before, but that fall made you fearful.
[00:20:34] and you still got a scar from a time you tried but it didn't work out.
[00:20:37] And I'm saying in 2026 I believe that God has given you unique strength, grace, and power to try again.
[00:20:44] Say it, I'm gonna try again.
[00:20:51] Cause standing here being frustrated is just producing more doubt in you.
[00:20:56] Circle after circle after circle of the same thing and God says bigger, more.
[00:21:03] outside of your own capability.
[00:21:06] This is scary for me because I've always been a dreamer.
[00:21:09] My imagination has been unlocked since childbirth.
[00:21:13] I've always been able to see on the other side of doors and I'm gonna figure out how to pick the lock and get in there.
[00:21:18] I'm the kid that you show me one thing, I'm like, well, does it do this too?
[00:21:23] And I'll be done took it apart and put it on the other side.
[00:21:25] My parents will vouch for me.
[00:21:27] I never had limits in my mind.
[00:21:29] My mind was always able to ask and go further.
[00:21:32] And so when God says vast, I'm like, are you sure?
[00:21:37] because vast for me seems kind of dangerous this feels scary what I'm thinking this feels outside of the norm and God said I made you just like that on purpose because you would be the one to lead others into it so I needed to be bigger than you because it's got to fit more than you
[00:21:55] He said there are others that have to come into this vision and I said okay God I'm gonna take the limits off of you and y'all the vision that God has given me for this church you think we've done anything in the last 10 years you have not seen anything yet I'm telling you as sure as I'm standing here and it's okay because I stood here not here but I stood on a platform 12 years ago in front of 300 people that didn't believe
[00:22:21] The majority of people under the sound of my voice after Pastor Debbie McIntosh and his beautiful husband, what did I just say?
[00:22:30] I was trying to do it when the McIntoshes made me the pastor.
[00:22:35] God dog.
[00:22:39] When they made me the pastor, I stood there in this place and I confessed that this church would be multi-generational.
[00:22:47] that it would be young people and old people.
[00:22:49] The reason why that was so important at the time, because I was known for being a youth pastor.
[00:22:53] And so people knew I could draw young people, but they didn't think that I could hold the respect and the honor of the elders.
[00:22:58] And I got up there with my knees shaking and I said, this church
[00:23:03] will be a multi-generational church and then I told them the next one I said this church will be a multi-ethnic church and now you got to realize our church was on the north side of Tulsa we was in the hood Pastor Debbie and Gary was like two of the only white people at our church and and there was like four more but they came frequently and sporadically and and what I'm saying is Darren Applegate shout out to you Darren and I just know
[00:23:29] that that standing there with all them people looking at me like a multi-ethnic church I knew what God had shown me and I don't know if you've looked around your role today but you see Hispanic white black you see Asian youth y'all can give God praise for what he's already done young old
[00:23:53] some people know how to Dougie other people know how to twist you understand what I'm saying that's my church huh some people know how to get in there and then other people they know how to you know I'm saying they know like pop like yes that's our church somebody say that's my church say it like you mean it that's my church it's a place where all people
[00:24:21] It's a place where all people, all backgrounds, all socioeconomic classes can come and lift up one name.
[00:24:28] What's his name?
[00:24:32] Jesus!
[00:24:32] But somebody has to have a vision for that.
[00:24:35] Because watch, can I be real real?
[00:24:38] It's easier to stay comfortable around people you know how they gonna act.
[00:24:44] The reason why Martin Luther King said the most segregated time of the week is Sunday mornings at 11 a.m.
[00:24:51] it's because you want to go to the black church you want to go to the white church you want to go to the hispanic church you want to go to where it's comfortable i want to go where i don't have to change i want to go where i don't have to appreciate and bring other people's ideas into the fold i want to go to where i don't have to explain myself and god says you cut off a piece of me when you only do what's familiar
[00:25:15] let me stop out of there some of you this is the season where God's going to call and attract you to people who are opposite because he's trying to expand who he created you to be it doesn't matter your whole family is racist let they racist but stay over there but God is calling you into relationships with different ethnicities and he's calling you to understand cultures and be able to cross over and be a bridge to something do not stop the call of God on your life because of the ignorance of people you were born around
[00:25:42] Y'all don't hear me.
[00:25:44] Do not stop what God's called you to do because it's not familiar and you don't have a lot of examples.
[00:25:49] Be the example that God needs you to be.
[00:25:52] Be the one that'll be the difference maker.
[00:25:54] Be the one.
[00:25:55] If it doesn't need God to show up, I probably need to shut it down.
[00:26:03] What's the vision that's dependent on Him?
[00:26:07] I can't do this without Him.
[00:26:11] I can't get up here week after week I can't manage this thing has gotten big I sometimes tell Bishop why don't you tell me I would have prayed for less no y'all don't hear me there are some times where I'm like this does not float my boat but I'm called to it so I'm uncomfortable but I'm still showing up
[00:26:37] I'm going to keep growing through this.
[00:26:39] I'm going to become everything.
[00:26:40] We're going to see what the end going to be.
[00:26:42] I don't feel no ways tired, huh?
[00:26:44] I've come too far.
[00:26:48] Nobody told me.
[00:26:49] Bishop, you didn't tell me.
[00:26:51] The road was going to be easy, but I don't believe.
[00:26:55] I feel happy right there.
[00:26:58] I don't believe, Charles, he's brought me this far.
[00:27:00] I don't believe, Mama, he's brought... Where are the people that say, I don't believe God's brought me this far to leave me right here?
[00:27:06] There's more in store.
[00:27:08] I feel that thing.
[00:27:09] Somebody shout at me, more.
[00:27:17] David needed God to show up to defeat Goliath.
[00:27:22] Hannah needed God to show up to have a baby.
[00:27:27] These aren't small visions.
[00:27:29] These visions are vast.
[00:27:32] It should scare you a little bit.
[00:27:34] It should make you be like, ooh, can't do that by myself.
[00:27:39] Paul and Silas needed God to show up for the jail cell to shake.
[00:27:45] Moses needed God to show up to part the Red Sea.
[00:27:50] and that brings me to our text right here to understand the last thing the fourth point of this is vision must have a vehicle so vision has a vessel that's me and you but vision also must have a vehicle and one of the vehicles that Jesus Christ declares is his his mode of transportation to get the gospel to the world is the church
[00:28:14] The church is one of God's primary vehicles to expand his territory, his kingdom, and his domain.
[00:28:24] And a lot of people are less invested these days in what God invested everything in.
[00:28:31] Let me say this.
[00:28:32] He gave everything for the church.
[00:28:35] Y'all don't understand.
[00:28:36] Unto death.
[00:28:37] He gave his entire life for the bride of Christ.
[00:28:41] And he's asking us to be ones that would invest in what he invested in.
[00:28:45] No, I want to be like you, Jesus, except in...
[00:28:48] I don't do the church thing.
[00:28:50] He said, you don't do the church thing.
[00:28:51] The church thing is the whole reason that I went to the cross.
[00:28:55] It's so that people could find through this local ecclesia, people gathering together that you're not alone.
[00:29:00] They was addicted too.
[00:29:01] They were jacked up as well.
[00:29:03] It was the grace of God that saved them just like it's gonna save you.
[00:29:06] oh yeah he used to kill Christians now he writes for me like it is it is the thing that God is trying to use to touch the whole world and we have to invest in the vehicle of the church a vessel is good
[00:29:22] Who can sing?
[00:29:24] You can sing.
[00:29:26] You can sing.
[00:29:26] Will you sing in front of everybody right now?
[00:29:28] Hold on.

[00:29:29] Wait a minute.
[00:29:30] Don't stop.
[00:29:32] Who would sing in front of everybody right now?
[00:29:34] Would you sing, Nova?
[00:29:37] Stand up.
[00:29:38] This is my niece.

[00:33:06] At the end of this sermon I'm gonna tell you the word of the year for Transformation Church but I feel like it would fall on deaf ears if I didn't set you up to understand how powerful vision is.
[00:33:15] Because everything we're about to do has nothing to do with what we've done.
[00:33:19] I'm gonna say it one more time because this is going this is gonna frustrate some of y'all out of your comfort zone what we're about to do as a church has nothing to do with what we've already done you need to go ahead and fit hit a factory reset on what you think this church does because God's calling us into something new and one of the things that you have to realize is the biggest enemy to what God wants to do next is the praise and the idolization of what he already did

[00:33:47] The reason why you can't see your son or daughter as an adult and talk to them with sense is because you won't let go of them being a baby.
[00:33:56] and at the season that they need you you won't be able to let them go and actually be a coach to them because you no longer can just tell them what to do they grown and they watch what you did so it's not what you said it's what you did and what I'm telling you right now oh this is a parenting class I'm telling you right now that what we have to do is go to the next iteration the next version we need to evolve into what God is saying now you might have had wins in the past but your wins in the past become idols and stop your future

[00:35:03] You need to see something different because if you do, it changes everything.

[00:35:11] Husbands and wives, you're going to get a vision of what God is saying to you.
[00:35:14] And this is a beautiful picture of our Lord where He has to remind these people that He just did a miracle that nobody's ever seen before.
[00:35:22] He has to remind them of what He did and they shouldn't have forgot.
[00:35:26] Does that look like some of us sometimes?
[00:35:29] That God does stuff and you're like, God, what's gonna happen?
[00:35:31] He's like, just last week.

[00:35:37] Isaiah 43, 15, he says, I am the Lord, your Holy One, Israel's Creator and King.
[00:35:43] He just delivered all these people from Egyptian slavery and they came out.
[00:35:47] He said, I am the Lord who opened up the way through the waters.
[00:35:50] Y'all don't remember that?
[00:35:52] Y'all don't remember me hitting the whole thing, Shamu, Nemo, everybody on the side and I let y'all walk through?
[00:35:59] I made dry paths through the sea.
[00:36:04] I called forth your enemy, the mighty army of Egypt while it was chariots and horses in the middle of the thing.
[00:36:10] I drew them out and then I had the waves hit them and they drowned.

[00:36:24] that's the God I am and this is a beautiful picture because what he was trying to do is jog their memory even though they should have never forgot he's trying to prepare them for a new miracle and this is the point I want you to take from this memory precedes a miracle so many times God will remind you of what he did because he doesn't want you to glorify that thing he wants you to remember how good he is

[00:36:53] And then he's trying to move you past where you are.

[00:37:08] Do you remember how much counseling we had to do to get to this place?
[00:37:11] Do you remember when you hated people like that and now you love people like that?

[00:37:28] Because if you don't remember, you might be changing the atmosphere that God wants to create a miracle in.
[00:37:37] he's telling these people hey I want to do something new in you I need you to remember the miracles I've already brought you into so that you have fuel for the miracles I'm about to take you into I'm gonna take you down memory lane just for a second to show you how vision has led this church and how God has systematically spoken a word as I have been in a place of seeking his face and he's led us time after time 2015
[00:38:06] I came into this place and there was a line in the sand where I said I'm not gonna be who I used to be I'm gonna be a man of God I'm gonna lead I'm gonna stay consistent and I'm gonna lead this church God I have no idea how to do this I have not been to seminary I don't understand a lot of stuff Father God but you took Paul who was killing Christians one week and he had a Damascus Road conversion
[00:38:28] and you transformed his life to the point where he was telling people about Jesus that next week so if you can do it for I ain't killed nobody God so if you can do it for him teach me lead me on so 2015 we took that baton and the word of the year that was retrofitted into that was very simple it was survive
[00:38:52] See, some of y'all think that a surviving year is not something to celebrate, but sometimes the things that God brings you through, if you just survive it, the goal was not to be up 100 points.
[00:39:02] The goal was just to make it through the game.
[00:39:04] The goal was not just some... Where are the survivors in the building right now?
[00:39:08] The people that said, I don't look like what I've been through because I survived.
[00:39:15] For some of us, it was so many hits that the fact that we just showed up
[00:39:21] it's a win it's the second week of 2026 and i'm still in church after how them crazy church people no i survived and as we stood there god said michael i'm gonna lead you every year so i said all right god we survived all the people who left left i painted the ceiling black because we wanted to get the lights right in the building they said we were starting a club

[00:39:47] We took the flags down.
[00:39:49] They said, you don't honor Guatemala.
[00:39:50] It's like, you ain't never going there.
[00:39:52] Stop.
[00:39:53] The people in the back can't see because the flag is... We're just trying to do some common sense stuff.

[00:40:09] and so then God said 2016 might keep going and I'm ready for a word that's gonna take us into the future father I'm stepping by faith 2016 maintain got dog it because many times we don't think that God it's his grace if he allows us to stay in the same place but many times when he allows us to stay in the same place it's because there's something there we didn't learn that we need to learn
[00:40:37] See, if you're repeating some of the things that you're going through, you need to stop being mad that it's happening and you need to ask, what didn't I learn?
[00:40:45] Well, God, why are you taking me through this again?
[00:40:47] Because you failed.
[00:40:49] You absolutely failed the last time.

[00:41:05] Some of you need to stay in a place where God can correct change and move things around before he elevates you.
[00:41:12] It is God's grace that he kept us in a maintain.
[00:41:15] It's God's grace that he didn't blow us up back here.
[00:41:18] It's God's grace he didn't release us to the world.
[00:41:20] Some of the stuff, y'all think what I say today is crazy?
[00:41:23] The stuff I was saying back here?
[00:41:25] was wild and crazy kids do you hear what I'm saying because it was just unbridled untamed and God was like I'll give you a dark room to develop that stuff I'm keeping you for something and many times in this generation if it don't blow up we think that God's not with us sometimes it's the proof that he is with you
[00:41:45] and so then in 2017 we went from surviving to maintaining and we finally got a word that took us somewhere God said this would be the year that we would go somebody shout at me beyond and y'all that year we grew 400 people and and and and four hundred thousand dollars in the budget nobody could tell me nothing I thought that God had come down himself and brought us into our a new season and
[00:42:10] we shouted we praised we ran and God said yeah I'm taking you beyond but what you think is next is not what you think beyond looks like and I said God what you mean well 2018 came and God said hey I want you to find the pace of grace you just said go beyond he said and I need you to find a pace I want you to go beyond that you're going too fast you're doing too much
[00:42:36] This is not exactly how I want it.
[00:42:38] And he told us in that season that we needed to slow down.
[00:42:41] That means we cut things.
[00:42:43] We took things off the calendar.
[00:42:44] And it was literally at the end of this year when God was saying beyond, I was in the precipice of going from here to here.
[00:42:52] God, on December,
[00:42:54] In that year, at a staff advance, he said, I want you to stride.
[00:42:57] I want you to find the pace of grace.
[00:42:58] I want you to cut some things.
[00:42:59] I want you to decide how many speaking engagements you're going to do next year.
[00:43:03] That didn't make logical sense to me, because in 2016, on the year it was beyond, I got four speaking engagement requests.
[00:43:09] Took all of them.
[00:43:11] I went everywhere.
[00:43:12] Every camp did everything.
[00:43:13] So God's saying, choose how many speaking engagements.
[00:43:16] That doesn't even make sense to my experience.
[00:43:20] but God knew what was up ahead so he was giving me a word to stride before he released everything that he was about to do I said God okay let's talk to my wife we'll do two speaking engagements a month that felt like ludicrous when I had four for the whole year and wasn't putting out my itinerary and saying now booking I was just like okay I'm gonna obey you and literally we stepped into this a young lady she put up a clip of me doing a message with golf balls orange balls
[00:43:49] of relationship goals and that thing went viral and literally from the end of December of 2017 when God told us to stride and we obeyed when we crossed over into this year literally we went from 1,800 YouTube subscribers to 200,000 in 30 days.
[00:44:10] Nothing to clap for, that was temptation.
[00:44:13] That was a temptation to ignore the word God gave me.
[00:44:19] I want you to hear because every success is not always up and to the right some of it is tension to obey God so literally he comes into this season and God's like stride and we go from a place of having one service barely getting it filled we step over here five services and I'm on oxygen tanks dumbest thing I've ever done
[00:44:43] but literally I'm standing in this season trying to facilitate what God said to do but he said find the pace of grace and as we found the pace of grace this message of relationship goals went crazy and what ended up happening is people begin to find the church and people came we didn't have working websites we didn't have all the stuff that they say you supposed to have I didn't barely have a social media account there was all kinds of stuff and God says I'll use all your deficiencies to prove that it was me
[00:45:11] I'm trying to help somebody right where you're at right now you want something else to happen and God says I'll use that for my glory
[00:45:20] and so then God said all right you ready to step into it and so we went from 2018 to 2019 and it was the year of release and that's where God released some things but he was releasing us of some things too because back here when all of the major things was happening my schedule and calendar started blowing up and God said you remember that word I told you to stride he said it's gonna come into play right now my wife was going through some things we had a diagnosis with our son
[00:45:46] of autism and there were some things and I was about to be gone and the Holy Spirit says I gave everything for my wife I want you to give everything for yours and I said exactly what do you mean call all of those people you said yes to and tell them you can't come every major conference everything you can't come you have a higher priority
[00:46:10] and I canceled literally all of from June all the way to the end of the year and the Holy Spirit said because you obeyed me in a year that I'm releasing you to the world he said I'm releasing you into another stratosphere of influence and I said God what do you mean he said it won't make sense on this side of it but you got to keep obeying what I'm trying to tell you is when you have a vision it might not make sense while you're doing it
[00:46:35] This is why it takes you having faith and crazy faith.
[00:46:37] Stride into release.
[00:46:39] We canceled everything and this was the year God gave us this building.
[00:46:43] See, because back there in 2015, now I want you to see how far 2015 was away.
[00:46:47] It's way back there and literally when I was way back here surviving, guess what God gave me?
[00:46:52] A vision.
[00:46:53] 37 days into me being the lead pastor of the church, he told me to walk into my daughter's room.
[00:47:01] and write this vision down that the Spirit Bank Events Center would be Transformation Church.
[00:47:07] I spelled transformation wrong.
[00:47:09] I spelled transformation.
[00:47:11] And what I'm telling you is I leave it on here because God doesn't need your vision written down to be perfect.
[00:47:16] He needs it to actually be written down.
[00:47:19] I wrote it down.
[00:47:20] The Spirit Bank Events Center will be Transformation Church.
[00:47:22] He gave me this vision 37 days into surviving.
[00:47:27] and he told me to write it down so all the way up here when I forgot about it he would release this building to us.
[00:47:37] but he only released it because when I could have gone beyond I stayed at home so you don't know that this building was already under contract by somebody else an entertainment company with a bunch of money and we kept asking God to open the door for us and the people kept telling us no I got witnesses in the room right now but there was one day they came to close on the property and because we had the property manager calling every week saying

[00:48:02] Is it available yet?
[00:48:03] No, it's not available.
[00:48:05] Well, they went to close and the people's funding fell through.
[00:48:08] And their funding fell through and because we called every week, the first call they made out of that room was to our team.
[00:48:14] They said, are you still interested?
[00:48:16] We had never seen this building.
[00:48:18] We had never been walked around.
[00:48:19] I had only broken in a couple times.
[00:48:21] And this is, I'm telling you the truth.
[00:48:27] And God brought us here.
[00:48:29] The setup for this was that he didn't give it to us back here because we didn't have the money for it.
[00:48:34] But when it came available, we put $100,000 earnest money down on the building on a Tuesday.
[00:48:39] We came over here.
[00:48:41] The people had the funding by Friday.
[00:48:44] It was a Monday when it happened.
[00:48:46] We put it down on Tuesday.
[00:48:47] They had all the money on Friday.
[00:48:49] Those people called us and offered us two million dollars to walk away from the deal.
[00:48:53] And I said, let me pray about it because mama ain't raised no dummy.
[00:48:56] And I went and prayed and the Holy Spirit said, I told you what the vision was.
[00:49:02] The Spirit Bank Events Center will be Transformation Church.
[00:49:06] Do not sell yourself short.
[00:49:09] because of a money value believe my word because vision is most valuable so because we walked into release we came into this building and we did our first conference here and and then the lord told us some of y'all was there on the last day of conference we couldn't go back
[00:49:31] We didn't know how he was going to do it.
[00:49:33] Nothing.
[00:49:33] We didn't have no lights.
[00:49:34] Nothing.
[00:49:34] Nothing was paid for.
[00:49:36] And literally, as I stand here today, there has not been one Sunday since that day that we have not had everything that we have needed to be able to facilitate what God's doing here.
[00:49:44] We stepped into 2020, and he made us stronger because he shut everything down.
[00:49:50] Coronavirus, Auntie Corona came off in here and shut everything down and we learned some things and we were able to reach more people than ever and we saw more salvations than ever and God said Michael keep walking I told you it was stronger but your situation looked like a valley it looked hard it looked like it was frustrating but I'm giving you a word watch this a prophetic vision or a prophetic word is to carry you when the situation looks different
[00:50:14] Most of you are trying to get a vision to see something be improved and God's saying it might look worse for it get better remember what I said
[00:50:26] and as we walked from 2020 we walked into 2021 and I want everybody to see I'm making steps in the direction that God is leading because there's still more that lead me on song there's more to this story there's so much more to what God wants to do but I can't stop in what he's saying right now I have to fully give myself to it and in 2021 he told us to be anchored to anchor to him we said Jesus is our anchor and we just said why would you need to anchor to something

[00:51:04] The only reason you need an anchor is because a storm's coming.

[00:51:35] go back and get every prophetic word I've spoken over you remember what the word has said over you listen to the voices who know who I've called you to be because as we stepped out of 2021 into 2022 there was something that happened where some spit hit the fan and people started hearing about us from all over the world and writing newspapers and news articles and doing all this other stuff and he's a false prophet and he's all this other stuff and God said I'm about to watch this this is to me he said I'm about to purify you
[00:52:04] and sometimes it takes people turning against you for you to actually know what I put in you and look what he told me this year was he said this year is holy God it don't feel holy he said take off your shoes get intimate on this I need you to show me your real self the flesh part of you because here is holy and we walked through this year and I thank God for this church
[00:52:30] I thank God for the people who have literally learned how to stand in a vision no matter if people on the outside don't understand what God is doing in it.
[00:52:41] Most believers will only do what is popular and what everybody agrees with and they will miss the actual calling of God for their life because everybody who conducts an orchestra has to turn their back on the crowd.
[00:52:58] at some point the person who's conducting the person who's leading has to not think about who's in the audience and focus on the people who signed up to play with him and I thank God for Transformation Church because you are a church that has left everybody in the dust saying we coming for you but we gotta hear from God we gotta stay praying we gotta stay worshiping we gotta keep joy
[00:53:25] and we walked through this year and God purified me and purified this church and helped us see where we needed to grow and what we needed to be and it brought us into 2023 if we were gonna stop any year this would have been it and the devil messed up because he said Michael remember every person who's done anything great for me was persecuted for the sake of the call
[00:53:53] He says, so everything you're going through, this is about the kingdom.
[00:53:57] This has nothing to do with you.
[00:53:59] this has everything to what I'm doing in you and doing in this world and we told everybody that it was about the kingdom we weren't going to be kingdom not know what God says about his word but we were going to walk in authority and be able to stand in the kingdom and as 2023 came to an end God gave us a word that we've been walking in um for for after that and it was very simple he said now after you come out of that I want everything you've been through to produce fruit this is how they'll know your mind
[00:54:28] it's not how you talk about stuff how much fruit do you have and we kept giving and kept sowing and kept blessing and kept partnering and God said I'm about to take it to a whole nother level and I said God what do you want us to do he said I want your fruit to actually be where we've been for this whole year he said I want you to now walk in focus
[00:54:53] He said, everything I've done in the past 10 years, 11 years, He said, it's brought you to this point.
[00:55:01] And now He commands us to do something He commands the children of Israel to do.
[00:55:06] He literally tells them, forget it.
[00:55:10] I just took you through this beautiful amazing explanation and what I'm asking you to do right now hey light man sound man take this off the stage I want this to be what you do in your life and in every area that God has brought you from a mighty long way and he's taking you to another place I want you to forget it I want you to not think about it happening no more from this point on

[01:07:05] And God's saying, hey, I've already promised you the land.
[01:07:10] But you're going to have to do something outside of what this is.
[01:07:14] The first thing you're going to have to do is have a memory lapse.

[01:07:31] And that's why Philippians 3 verse 12 and 14 is the New Testament passage that parallels to what this is.

[01:08:14] When God brought me to this scripture I was like wow you gave me this word for our church and now you're transitioning us because the other word of the year is in this scripture as well.

[01:08:31] Some of you are about to become professional forgetters.
[01:08:37] not of the things that he calls you to remember as a testimony and to to help other people but I'm telling you I'm gonna teach you how we're gonna do this but some of the things that you've been going through they've actually been stopping you because they happened and God is about to make you a professional forgetter he says I need you to focus on forgetting I'm gonna do a whole message series on that focus on forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies

[01:09:49] And I came to ask every person in this room, if God calls you, if he's calling you right now, if he's drawing you into the vehicle of his church and his kingdom to be able to make a difference, will you answer the call and do what he asks you to do?
[01:10:05] And for too many of us there has to be a debate.

[01:10:08] And God's saying I gave up everything for you to have the opportunity to say yes to this.
[01:10:15] So back in July, God told me very clearly through a series of events that I will share with you because I want you to know hearing God is not as difficult as you think it is.

[01:10:29] But God was so clear with me.
[01:10:31] He confirmed it over four times through the most random things in the world.
[01:10:35] and I know when I hear God I ain't gonna fight him and I'm not gonna resist him and so Transformation Church the word of the year for 2026 is anybody ready in the building right now this is a prophetic word over your life over your family over your business over your mind over your body over your life the word for 2026 is FORWARD

[01:19:01] It took me from being a liar, a manipulator, somebody who was addicted to pornography, had very dark things in my heart, twisted in my mind, and God said, if you give me your heart, I'll help you change your habits.

[01:19:15] and it turned me from a person that was headed to take a lot of people to the wrong place to being a champion for the kingdom of God and no I am not perfect today I am progressing but I'm telling you the change happened when I invited Jesus into my life and somebody's sitting here watching this right now and you're saying I don't know if I'm good enough God said it doesn't matter if you think you're good enough I thought you were good enough
[01:19:39] I went to the cross while you were yet a sinner I died I stretched out I took all the punishment for your sin and I said all I need you to do is believe that I did it according to Romans 10 9 he said if you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth you're saved then the next part is sanctification we're gonna get worked out and we're gonna get purified and we're gonna walk this thing out but the first thing is you got to get in and follow him
