A Faith That Fails: When Personal Experience Contradicts God’s Word

This sermon is a case study in the defense of a failed theological system. The speaker, an instructor for a prominent Word of Faith ministry, uses his personal health crisis to teach the core tenets of that heresy: that faith is a force, that believers should 'take authority' over symptoms, and that personal, subjective 'leadings' from God are the primary guide for life. This functionally denies the sufficiency of Scripture (Sola Scriptura) and presents a view of God whose actions are contingent on the believer's performance. The hermeneutic is entirely pretextual, using the Bible as a collection of proof-texts to validate a personal narrative rather than proclaiming the Christ of whom the Scriptures testify.

🔍 Biblical Discernment: The 7 Church Parallels
The Faithful Parallels Smyrna • Philadelphia
Teaching that parallels the churches that endure suffering with true spiritual riches (Rev 2:9) and keep the Word of Christ without denial despite having "little strength" (Rev 3:8).
The Cold Orthodox Parallel Ephesus
Teaching that upholds doctrinal precision yet parallels the loss of the "first love"—the vital, motivating power of the Gospel (Rev 2:4).
The Formalist Parallels Sardis • Laodicea
Teaching that parallels churches relying on a reputation of being alive while being spiritually dead (Rev 3:1), or resting in lukewarm self-sufficiency, claiming to be "rich" while spiritually bankrupt (Rev 3:17).
The Compromised Parallels Pergamum • Thyatira
Teaching that parallels churches tolerating the "doctrine of Balaam" through cultural accommodation (Rev 2:14), or allowing seductive teachings that lead the flock into false gospels and immorality (Rev 2:20).
Why strictly "Mark & Avoid"?
We do not issue this rating to attack the speaker, but to protect the listener. This church's overall teaching trend consistently deviates from sound doctrine. As per Romans 16:17, we identify these patterns so believers can guard their hearts.

🧐 Overview

Sermon Summary: Using his personal story of a major heart surgery, the speaker attempts to reconcile a belief in guaranteed supernatural healing with the necessity of medical intervention. While presented with sincerity, the sermon ultimately defends and promotes the dangerous and unbiblical teachings of the Word of Faith movement.

Big Idea: The importance of maintaining a positive outlook and faith in God during health challenges. [00:41:23 ▶️ 📄]

Pastoral Analysis: This sermon is a case study in the defense of a failed theological system. The hermeneutic is entirely pretextual, using the Bible as a collection of proof-texts to validate a personal narrative rather than proclaiming the Christ of whom the Scriptures testify.

Biblical Parallel(Archetype): Thyatira — The sermon promotes the seductive 'Jezebel' teaching of Word of Faith theology, which redefines faith as a force and undermines God's sovereignty, leading believers away from orthodox doctrine.

🧭 Biblical Alignment Dashboard

Overall Verdict: Fundamentally in Error

CategoryStatusReasoning
Soteriology ⚠️ WEAK While not the sermon's focus, the underlying man-centered framework of the Word of Faith movement is inherently synergistic, placing the believer's actions and 'faith-force' as a decisive element in receiving from God.
Bibliology ❌ FAIL The sermon functionally denies Sola Scriptura by elevating subjective, personal 'leadings' and 'words from the Lord' to the level of binding, authoritative revelation for decision-making. Scripture is relegated to a secondary role of providing verses to support these experiences.
Hermeneutic ❌ FAIL The hermeneutic is purely pretextual and anthropocentric. The speaker's personal story is the central text, and Scripture is used as a sourcebook to support his experience, rather than his experience being interpreted through the objective lens of Scripture.
Theology Proper ❌ FAIL The sermon presents a diminished view of God's sovereignty. God's will is not primarily found in His revealed Word but must be discerned through subjective feelings. His power is implicitly limited by the believer's ability to 'activate' it, which borders on Open Theism and reduces God to a reactive power source.
Sacramentology ⚪ N/A No sacraments were observed or discussed in the sermon.

📖 How they Handle Scripture & Jesus

Passages Read Aloud:

Key References: Proverbs 17:22, Revelation 1, First Kings 19, Psalm 37:4, First John 2:20, Luke, Acts, 1 Kings 19, 1 John 2:20

Christological Connection: None: The sermon is centered entirely on the pastor's personal experience and a system of principles for healing. Christ is mentioned as the source of power, but the focus is on the believer's journey and decisions, not the person and work of Jesus.

  • Theological Justification for Using Doctors [01:01:31 ▶️ 📄] : The pastor lays out his conviction that God is not against doctors or medicine, attempting to create a 'balanced' view that allows for medical intervention within a Word of Faith framework.
  • The Crisis and the 'Word from the Lord' [01:14:29 ▶️ 📄] : He recounts the discovery of his severe heart blockages and frames the decision to have surgery not as a medical necessity but as a specific direction from God, received subjectively.
  • Conclusion and Audience Q&A [01:28:40 ▶️ 📄] : The pastor concludes his story and opens the floor for questions, reinforcing his theological points through his answers and personal anecdotes from the audience.

⚠️ Theological Concerns

🔴 Word of Faith Theology

Root Cause: Prosperity Gospel / Word of Faith (Path A). This reduces the Atonement to temporal physical/financial guarantees rather than eternal spiritual redemption and redefines faith as a creative force.

"And I immediately came against these symptoms with the word of God." [00:55:26 ▶️ 📄]

Correction: Biblical faith is trust in the person, character, and promises of God, not a force to be used to create reality. We are called to petition God and submit to His sovereign will (Matthew 26:39), not command outcomes. The power is in God Himself, not in the formula of our words.

🔴 Denial of Sola Scriptura (Neo-Montanism)

Root Cause: Neo-Montanism. This error denies the sufficiency and closure of the Biblical canon by claiming new, ongoing, authoritative revelation from God.

"And then in early august of last year while janice was praying over me she got a word from the Lord from his word and it was Acts 20 28..." [00:59:41 ▶️ 📄]

Correction: The canon of Scripture is closed and sufficient for all matters of faith and life (2 Peter 1:3). The Holy Spirit illuminates the existing text, He does not provide new, authoritative information for decision-making. Our guide is the Word, applied with Spirit-given wisdom, not subjective impressions.

🟠 Anthropocentric Hermeneutic (Narcigesis)

Root Cause: Anthropocentric Hermeneutic (Idolatry of Self). This approach fails to see Scripture as testifying of Christ, replacing the Glory of God with the drama of human experience.

"I'm going to talk, uh, this morning and share with you or this afternoon about, uh, my healing journey and, uh, my recent healing journey." [00:42:06 ▶️ 📄]

Correction: All of Scripture testifies about Christ (John 5:39). The goal of preaching is to proclaim Him, not ourselves. Our experiences are only valid insofar as they align with and point to the objective truth of the Gospel narrative.

📝 Other Corrections & Notes

  • in the book of revelation there's going to be a tree that's for the healing of the nations [01:11:21 ▶️ 📄] → Correction: This is a redemptive-historical error. The leaves of the tree of life in the New Jerusalem (Rev 22:2) are for the 'healing' (Gk. therapeian) of the nations, a term signifying the eternal health, wholeness, and service of life in the new creation. It is not a proof-text to justify using natural or medical remedies in the present age. (Revelation 22:2)

[00:34:25] Hallelujah.
[00:34:27] And we are just again, thankful.
[00:34:30] And as you're doing that, I want to share an unusual scripture, I think a little bit unusual anyway, regarding giving as you prepare your heart to give out of Psalm 115.
[00:34:41] psalm 115 verse 1 says not unto us o lord not unto us but to your name give glory because of your mercy because of your truth why should the gentiles say so where is their god but our god
[00:34:58] is in heaven he does whatever he pleases their idols are silver and gold the work of men's hands now watch this they have mouths but they do not speak eyes they have but they do not see
[00:35:16] they have ears but they do not hear noses they have but they do not smell they have hands but they do not handle feet they have but they do not walk nor do they mutter through their throat
[00:35:37] Now watch this, verse 8.
[00:35:39] Those who make them are like them.
[00:35:42] Dumb.
[00:35:44] Everybody say dumb.
[00:35:46] Idols are always a dumb idea.
[00:35:49] Thank God we serve a living God.
[00:35:53] Those who make them, verse 8, are like them.
[00:35:55] So is everyone who trusts in them.
[00:35:58] Oh, Israel, trust in the Lord.
[00:36:00] He is their help and their shield.
[00:36:04] Oh, house of Aaron, trust in the Lord.
[00:36:06] He is their help and their shield.
[00:36:07] You who fear the Lord, trust in the Lord.
[00:36:13] He is their help and their shield.
[00:36:16] Verse 12, the Lord has been mindful of us.
[00:36:20] He will bless us.
[00:36:21] He will bless the house of Israel.
[00:36:24] He'll bless the house of Aaron.
[00:36:26] Verse 13, he will bless those who fear the Lord, both small and great.
[00:36:34] Verse 14, look at this.
[00:36:35] May the Lord give you increase more and more.
[00:36:39] hallelujah this is the heart of god we're blessed to be a blessing and he says i'm going to bless those who fear the lord both small and great and then verse 14 may the lord give you increase more
[00:36:53] and more you and your children may you be blessed by the lord who made heaven and earth everybody say there's more i just thought that'd be appropriate today since we're having greg more. Tell your neighbor there's more. Come on. God wants to increase us what? What? More and
[00:37:22] yeah, don't forget the second more. That's like so, so, so, so good. He wants to bless us more and more and more. In other words, there's no end to the blessing of the Lord. And do you know that
[00:37:38] what is blessed cannot be cursed. Hallelujah. You're blessed to be a blessing. God says both small and great, those who love the Lord, trust in the Lord. He is your help and he is your shield.
[00:37:53] You know, as I was just meditating on that this morning, I just thought, God, thank you that in our crazy mixed up world in the natural, we have a different story. The path of the righteous
[00:38:04] grows brighter and brighter and as we give today we can invest into a kingdom where thieves cannot break through and steal where every penny produces for the glory of God let's pray father thank you
[00:38:18] so much for your faithfulness we've been celebrating that this afternoon even in worship as we sang God you have been faithful all our life you've been faithful you don't know how to be anything but faithful. So Lord, we just want to say thank you for your faithfulness. Thank you
[00:38:35] that you are worthy of it all. And thank you, Lord God, that you can be trusted. You are trustworthy.
[00:38:44] And Lord, as we give today, we want to just say thank you for this opportunity to once again invest into the kingdom of God. We bless you and we thank you for giving everything and showing us
[00:38:57] that example of laying down your life so that we could find ours. God, now we want to live our lives as a living offering, a living sacrifice, and literally living each day, living in Christ
[00:39:13] and living to give. We bless you and thank you for it. In Jesus' name, everyone said amen. Amen.
[00:39:21] Ushers, if you would please go ahead and receive the offering. Those of you online, you've already seeing the information there as to how you can give we want to just encourage you also to be a
[00:39:31] part of our giving we appreciate every single portion of these offerings that come in to be able to take this message deeper and further than ever before well again we are so blessed i am just
[00:39:46] super blessed today to have greg moore back in the house hallelujah greg serves as the ministry ambassador of Army, which is Andrew Womack's Ministry Fellowship.

[00:40:41] Welcome to Greg Moore.

[00:40:50] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_10]
[00:40:50] Well, let's give a bigger hand to Jesus, amen?
[00:40:54] you lord hallelujah so um yeah and we just added to our family two great granddaughters that is awesome we are we are my children are and grandchildren are being fruitful and multiplying thank you jesus so um man this is a this is a great day this is a wonderful day this is the
[00:41:23] the day the Lord's made and we're going to rejoice and be glad in it. Amen. Every day we have a choice to be sad, mad, or glad. And, uh, in a lot of healing and health are connected to our soul
[00:41:40] and to how well we keep our soul to whether we stay thankful, whether we stay rejoicing and praising God or complaining about how bad things are. And, you know, that's the language of the devil is moaning, griping, complaining. Amen. And we don't, that's not, that's not the language of
[00:42:06] faith. And, um, I'm going to talk, uh, this morning and share with you or this afternoon about, uh, my healing journey and, uh, my recent healing journey. I've had several healing journeys and I'm standing before you well today. And, uh, but I, I, I felt impressed to, uh, share
[00:42:27] it with you to share some things that, uh, both the update and also some things that, um, I believe will be helpful to you in, uh, possibly in helping you in your healing journey. So, uh, before I do,
[00:42:42] let me tell you a funny, this is called the Indian chiefs weather forecast. So it was autumn and the Indians on the remote reservation asked their new chief if the winter was going to be
[00:42:57] cold or mild and since he was an Indian chief in a modern society he had never been taught the old secrets. When he looked at the sky he couldn't tell whether the weather was what the weather
[00:43:09] was going to be nevertheless to be on the safe side he replied to his tribe that the winter this winter was indeed going to be very cold and that the members of the village should collect firewood to be prepared.
[00:43:26] Also, being a practical leader, after several days, he got an idea.
[00:43:30] He went to the phone booth and called the National Weather Service and said, is the coming winter going to be cold?
[00:43:39] And the meteorologist said, it looks like this winter is going to be quite cold indeed.
[00:43:44] So the chief went back to the people and told them to collect even more wood in order to be prepared.
[00:43:50] A week later, he called the National Weather Service again and says, is it gonna be a very cold winter?
[00:43:56] Yes, the man at the weather service said again, it's definitely gonna be a very cold winter.
[00:44:04] The chief again went back to his people, ordered them to collect every scrap of wood they could find.
[00:44:11] Two weeks later, he called the National Weather Service again, are you absolutely sure that the winter is going to be very cold.
[00:44:20] Absolutely, the man replied.
[00:44:23] It's going to be one of the coldest winters ever.
[00:44:26] How can you be so sure?
[00:44:28] The chief asked.
[00:44:29] The weatherman replied, because the Indians are collecting firewood like crazy.
[00:44:43] Oh, that's awesome, man.
[00:44:48] So I'm going to share about my recent healing journey.
[00:44:54] I mean, it's been a relatively long one, Um, but, uh, and, and then at the end, uh, if we have time, I'm going to, uh, allow for some, uh, questions and answers.
[00:45:08] If, if someone here, if you have questions and if you don't, if I answered them all, well, then we'll just pray for folks.
[00:45:14] Okay.
[00:45:15] But if you have a question, um, that then we'd like to, um, we'd, we'd like to just open it up and, uh, for, uh, for you.
[00:45:23] So, first of all, I want to start by just sharing with you kind of an update and a thanks to all of my friends, all of my ministry partners, all of the students and staff at Karis Bible College and Army pastors and people that prayed for Janice and me the last four and a half months since I had a triple bypass surgery.
[00:45:54] which was not in the cards for me.
[00:45:57] It was not my first, it was not my plan.
[00:46:02] But the update is I'm doing very well.
[00:46:06] In fact, I'm doing better than I went in for surgery.
[00:46:10] I can walk up and down steps again without shortness of breath.
[00:46:14] I used to avoid steps like the plague.
[00:46:19] I'd go out of my way to go to the elevator.
[00:46:22] But the other day, I had an appointment with a student up on the mezzanine, and I left here and walked up those steps.
[00:46:29] I didn't even have shortness of breath.
[00:46:31] It was awesome.
[00:46:32] And I just graduated from cardiac rehab, which was a real chore because they got you working.
[00:46:43] And I was able to walk on a level 10 on a treadmill from only a level three that I started three months earlier.
[00:46:55] So with no tightness in my chest that I was experiencing prior to the surgery.
[00:47:02] And now my wife and I, this is my beautiful bride Janice.
[00:47:05] Why don't you stand up, honey?
[00:47:10] And we're continuing to work out with cardio and weights.
[00:47:15] and I've lost 15 pounds.
[00:47:19] It's not the weight loss program I would recommend, but many of my clothes or my pants are baggy and my belts don't fit, hallelujah.
[00:47:33] And I had my second appointment with a cardiologist yesterday and he was thrilled with my progress.
[00:47:39] My blood pressure's good, my heart rate's good.
[00:47:41] I feel strong and have more energy and strength and mobility than before and just praise God for his faithfulness to me in restoring my health after being in a very serious kind of life and death situation. In fact, we do have a,
[00:47:57] I don't know if you guys up there have those pictures. Do y'all have the picture? Okay, so this was ministry school. The ministry school did this for me. It says cardiac rehab graduate.
[00:48:11] Congratulations by the grace of God, the support of loved ones and steady determination.
[00:48:17] You did it.
[00:48:18] Now, my daughter-in-law sent this to my son and daughter-in-law, sent it to all my kids.
[00:48:23] And then my daughter-in-law sent back one.
[00:48:25] Well, you can't just have one of these.
[00:48:27] Janice has got to have one.
[00:48:28] So y'all.
[00:48:35] This certifies it.
[00:48:36] Janice, survivor support specialist, guardian of the heart.
[00:48:41] Hallelujah.
[00:48:42] Not all heroes wear capes, but they all have hearts of gold.
[00:48:46] And that is so true about my beautiful wife.
[00:48:52] Amen, that's awesome, isn't it?
[00:48:55] My daughter-in-law put that together.
[00:48:57] AI can do a lot, make you look good, praise God.
[00:49:02] So, you know, I just, first of all, I just wanted to start off just saying, for those of you who are watching or will watch later, and those of you that are here, Man, we thank God and thank you so much for your prayers.
[00:49:18] The meals you brought, Daniel and Tracy brought meals.
[00:49:23] River Rock Church sent meals.
[00:49:25] All the emails, the texts, the phone calls of encouragement, financial gifts.
[00:49:32] And one of the most difficult physical challenges of my life.
[00:49:36] I mean, literally, it was the most difficult time of my life.
[00:49:40] And it really meant the world to Janice and me.
[00:49:45] I just so appreciate your love because I felt it.
[00:49:51] And then when I came back and, you know, I had the surgery on September 20th and December 1st, I came back and began to teach.
[00:50:01] And every class, they celebrated me.
[00:50:05] And it was like, man, I just, uh, but I, I, I know because you guys were praying for me and it really prayers of faith really matter when, when you're going through a tough time and man, I can't even begin.
[00:50:22] I know I, I, I haven't been more, I'm not really given to crying a lot, but man, I was teary through this whole thing.
[00:50:33] I just thank God and great rewards to Janice and to each of my children and grandchildren who helped us walk out this healing journey of restoration.
[00:50:46] I couldn't have done it without them.
[00:50:48] My wife was a superhero dealing with all the challenges I had to go through.
[00:50:54] Each of my children came at, man, a great expense.
[00:51:00] I mean, my daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Tim, came up from Texas.
[00:51:07] And my son, Jeremiah, and his wife, Jessica, came up.
[00:51:11] And they were there with Janice holding up her arms during that time and also praying for me.
[00:51:19] And my two oldest sons who live in the Springs, they were rock stars because they alternated coming to my house every other day or or one of them was there each day helping to me i mean i couldn't take a shower
[00:51:35] by myself i couldn't put on my socks and i and they had i had to wear compression socks oh jesus and my daughter-in-laws you know kelly and tanya you know cooked so many meals and my
[00:51:54] grandchildren came over to spend special time with me and my entire family just dropped everything uh to be with janice and me during the surgery and and uh pastor rick and joanne uh visited us in the hospital and checked on me and so i i don't want this to be about me i want but i wanted
[00:52:14] to just give you an update that that um and then and i don't want to kind of segue into uh kind of answering some questions that people might have had by just going through my the journey
[00:52:27] that i had and i um you know it's similar to not not exactly but of some of the things that barry went through when he had had that year of cancer you know and had all those man he was up and down
[00:52:43] and man it wasn't it was touch and go for a while and and anyway um i'm just very thankful first of all. But, but, you know, I did receive, uh, and, and I did receive, uh, lots of encouragement,
[00:53:00] but also had some, you know, some of them were condemning, but most of them were just, were sincere. They, they asked if I was in faith for healing, why I elected to have the surgery.
[00:53:14] And I think it's a, I think it's a legitimate question that we should try to help people with.
[00:53:19] and I want to help you understand. I want to, I want to help you see how I walked at my wife and I walked through that. And so that's what I wanted, what I want to share. I want to answer
[00:53:29] these questions and give, and give time for anyone in the audience who has questions at the end of my message. And, and, uh, you know, I believe the best way to answer these is simply walk you
[00:53:40] through the history of my recent healing journey. Now, listen, I've received supernatural healing, Man, I got, many times, I got healed of cancer.
[00:53:51] They took a growth out of my neck, and they said they were going to have to remove my thyroid and didn't know if they could save my voice box.
[00:53:59] And God gave me a word to go have three men pray for me, and I did.
[00:54:05] And, man, there was no, they couldn't find any more cancer in my body.
[00:54:09] So, man, my granddaughter, Joelle, was healed of club feet in her mother's womb.
[00:54:18] My son, Michael, was healed of a debilitating muscular arthritic condition supernaturally.
[00:54:26] I was healed in 24 hours of double pneumonia and sepsis.
[00:54:32] So, I mean, you know, I've experienced supernatural healing.
[00:54:36] and so um so uh so i want to just go through this with you and and just and just be vulnerable and then and then we'll we'll we'll ask questions you can ask questions and i'll i can answer all of
[00:54:52] them with three words i don't know but if i know i'll tell you okay so uh and and um you know if you have a question online you can you can email us or you can just email me at info at gregmore.com
[00:55:06] Okay. So my, my, I want to talk about my healing journey through a triple bypass surgery. Okay.
[00:55:13] So a little over three years ago, I started experiencing shortness of breath when exercising and when walking up steps and when walking through airline terminals with luggage.
[00:55:26] All right. And I immediately came against these symptoms with the word of God.
[00:55:32] Romans 8, 2 for the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has past tense made me free from the law of sin and death, which includes all sickness and disease, all maladies and, you know,
[00:55:46] abnormalities and, and weaknesses. And, and in Romans 8, 11, if the, because if the spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he that raised Christ from the dead will also
[00:55:59] quicken or make alive, bring resurrection life to your mortal body. And then second Corinthians two 14, now thanks be to God who always causes us to triumph in Christ Jesus. And through us diffuses the fragrance of his knowledge in every place. I mean, I, I was holding on to those words
[00:56:19] and I, those were, God will give you a word or sometimes it's, he'd give me a song and I'll, and I'll go over that song over and over again.
[00:56:29] And, but he gave me those words plus later, Psalm 31, 24, be of good courage and he shall strengthen your heart, all you who hope in the Lord.
[00:56:39] So whenever I would speak the word and take authority over those symptoms and start praising God that I was the healed, not trying to get healed, I got relief and they would subside.
[00:56:53] And so, but they persisted for two and a half years and, and it progressively got worse.
[00:57:01] And then about this time last year, um, well, first of all, I didn't over those two and a half years, I didn't let up speaking the word. And I began after probably six months, I'd begin to
[00:57:16] share it with my wife and we were both speaking the word and, and, and that I was the healed.
[00:57:22] And, and, and I look, I have learned having done all the stand to stand.
[00:57:28] I'm not giving up.
[00:57:29] I'm like a bulldog.
[00:57:30] I'll be holding onto the word that I, by his stripes, I was healed and all these other verses.
[00:57:36] If I went home to be with Jesus.
[00:57:39] Okay.
[00:57:40] And I haven't changed my doctrine.
[00:57:43] This just so you understand what I'm going to share with you.
[00:57:47] I'm not changing what I believe about the fact that Jesus has already paid the price for my healing.
[00:57:52] Amen.
[00:57:52] Uh, so I never gave up believing the word that I was healed by the atoning sacrifice of Jesus, by his stripes, we were healed. Uh, and I'm not saying I did everything perfect during those
[00:58:06] times. Okay. Or did I ever, what did I let up or whatever, but, but, but, you know, I wasn't trusting in me. I was trusting in a perfect savior. And so, you know, after, after, um,
[00:58:21] two and a half years about this time last year when i would start working out or walk up steps or walk through an airport with luggage um i started having tightness in my chest i didn't have chest pain i didn't never had a heart attack thank god but i had tightness in
[00:58:43] my chest then um we so again we resisted we we stood against it my wife was praying for me taking her authority you know i understand that first corinthians 7 verse 4 she has authority
[00:58:58] over my body you if you're married you have authority over your mate's body yes and then also first corinthians 6 19 i am the temple of the holy ghost remember that song that daniel got
[00:59:12] going through the uh what was it the mri you know i am the temple of the holy you know holy ghost and uh you know i and so my body belongs to the lord and my wife and so so anyway whenever i'd
[00:59:29] work out then i started having tightness in my chest i couldn't i couldn't go past two miles an hour on the treadmill we got a group we got more aggressive speaking the word and taking
[00:59:41] authority and praising god for my healing and then in early august of last year while janice was praying over me she got a word from the Lord from his word and it was Acts 20 28 it says
[00:59:58] therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock among whom which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers to shepherd the church of God which he purchased with his own blood but focused on
[01:00:11] in that first part, take heed to yourselves and to all the flock.
[01:00:17] And the Lord spoke to her, we've been doing it backwards, that we've been taking heed to the flock and not to ourselves.
[01:00:27] Okay, so that was just a few days before we went to Seattle and had a great army meeting there.
[01:00:35] And it was powerful move of the Spirit.
[01:00:39] And we went back to, we were going to the airport, walking through the airport. I almost passed out. I turned white. I am, I'm really not white. We're not, white is another color somewhere. It's anyway, it's not, it's a, look at a white piece
[01:00:56] of paper. That's white. Okay. So anyway, but I turned that about that color. All right. And I almost passed out. And you know, when I, within a week after she received that word and after
[01:01:09] experiencing that and connecting that uh experiencing almost passing out and then and then connecting with the word that she she got i felt led to go to a doctor okay to check things out all right so before i go on with sharing my journey let me help you
[01:01:31] okay with my conviction based on the word of god not just my conviction my conviction based on the the word of God regarding the use of doctors and medicine. My conviction can be different than
[01:01:47] yours, but I'm just giving it to you based on the word of God. And it's what we practice and what we practice ministering to people all these years. And it doesn't change my view of healing.
[01:02:00] In fact, Andrew Womack says there's no bad way to receive healing. Is that true? Okay. So doctors and medicine, by the way, are not against, are not against healing. They're trying to get you well.
[01:02:14] They just many times tell you about the worst case scenario and then try to drug you up a lot of times. So, so I want to, but I want to share my conviction with you. First of all, God is not
[01:02:26] against doctors and medicine. He's not against it. So why are you okay? It can be one of the methods that God uses to bring healing to you. He's just against being number two in your life.
[01:02:44] That's what he's against. In other words, he's against you trusting in doctors and medicine more than in him. Yes, that can become an idol in your life, right? And then Jesus said in Matthew four, four, a man shall not live by bread alone. Now, okay, let me, let me pause here. Time out.
[01:03:03] everybody look up here somebody just checked me out tune me out okay because you think i'm gonna preach doctrinal error well if i do i will never be preaching on this platform again okay so just
[01:03:20] stay tuned you might learn something or that would be helpful to you or maybe will help you with someone else okay so jesus said in matthew 4 4 man shall not live by bread alone but by every word
[01:03:33] that proceeds out of the mouth of God.
[01:03:35] But notice, he didn't say, man shall not live by bread at all.
[01:03:46] In other words, Jesus himself did not demonize the natural realm or natural resources.
[01:03:53] To do so is what we would call modern day Gnosticism.
[01:03:58] The Gnostics attributed everything in the natural realm as evil.
[01:04:03] And that's what the Apostle John was dealing with, the Gnostics.
[01:04:06] And so, in other words, it's not wrong to lock your doors, to drive a car instead of walk, to wear hairspray on what little hair you have left, to hire an attorney to wear makeup, to use hairspray, to wear glasses, to have insurance.
[01:04:36] I wear glasses I mean when I first got the understood the begin to get the faith message I took my glasses off stomped on them in the name of faith then I endangered everybody on the road that I was driving well then I've then I
[01:04:58] got the revelation that faith works by love and that wasn't love and so I wear glasses until my eyes get better until so I don't endanger you while I'm driving down the road amen and so I have insurance not because I don't trust God I don't trust the
[01:05:17] devil it's a hedge against the devil so he can't take advantage of me or you yes now there are some people and who are believing for supernatural healing only okay who then subsequently make vows never to use doctors or medicine and I've met lots of them okay and I'm not look I have no
[01:05:45] rocks to throw at them or judgment of them that you have to stand before God for what you what you believe but the same people the very same people that make vows never to go to a doctor
[01:06:01] and never use medicine, they'll go to a dentist to get a tooth filled or, or, or fixed or pulled.
[01:06:18] What's that about? That doesn't make sense to me. So it's like, I'm not, I'm not, you know, I'm just look, I pastored for 27 years. Okay. So, so I had people that we were just, we,
[01:06:37] we were just 20 minutes from Kenneth Copeland ministries. And he believed that every, you know, for it was wrong to borrow money. And, and they, and so you weren't supposed to borrow any money at all. And then, so people were selling their house, their, their houses, literally sell their
[01:06:55] houses and go rent a house in the name of being out of debt. And I would meet them and I'd say, so yeah, we're out of debt. No, you really aren't. You owe a payment at the end of the month. Plus
[01:07:09] now you don't have, you're not, you don't have any equity in that house. So look, God's not against you borrowing money. He's against, he's against you borrowing more than what you can, what you can commit to pay back. The wicked borrow and pay not again. Now I look, my wife and I are totally
[01:07:26] out of debt today so that's better okay but don't be making vows not to ever borrow money just because kenneth copeland or andrew does that they have to follow god don't follow what god told them to do you follow what god told you to do are you listening to me and again my body
[01:07:48] belongs to the lord and my wife and so i'm listening to him faith guys faith comes by how does faith come hearing no i thought it came by making a vow not to use doctors and medicine
[01:08:04] that's the clueless translation faith doesn't now if you heard god don't borrow money or don't go to the doctor use medicine then by all means do what god told you to do i'm not i'm not but don't
[01:08:23] listen faith comes by hearing in every battle every physical battle it's not always the same and we need to, you can go back and get my last message that I taught on this, that faith is
[01:08:36] not a formula. It's a relation. I mean, healing's not a formula, but a relationship.
[01:08:42] And you got to pray and hear God. Don't just go by what happened in the past. I've shared the story about John Osteen, who was my pastor, Joel's dad, and he had a heart attack in 1975.
[01:08:54] five. And God spoke to him in the hospital. They wanted him to have open heart surgery in a, I think a quadruple bypass or something. And God spoke to him. Everybody, everybody say he heard, go home, check yourself out of the hospital, take care of your body and you'll be
[01:09:14] healed. And he was, he did. And he was then about 11 years later, he had another heart attack.
[01:09:21] and this time he heard everybody say he heard faith comes by he heard have the surgery and then people were condemning him because he wasn't walking in faith well faith comes by it doesn't come by not having a surgery right so so um anyway he he got up in his he would have a
[01:09:45] big conference with kenneth hagan and kenneth copeland and oral roberts and all these all these big guys and but this year just had it with himself and he was he was the main speaker and
[01:09:55] he he got up and he said you know i've had a lot of people condemn me because i had this surgery he said i listen faith comes by hearing and and i learned a lot watching him and listening to him
[01:10:05] about this he said you want to know what my doctrine is my doctrine is living and he said i did I did exactly what God told me to do and he lived several years longer so anyway um you know
[01:10:23] I have no judgment against those that uh those that believe that only if that's what God spoke to you but faith comes by hearing not by vowing not to take medicine or go to the doctor or go
[01:10:36] to the dentist or wear glasses or something else are you let's use the natural realm but not trust in that trust in god now also god does not attribute all medicine as evil did you know
[01:10:51] there's a scripture proverbs 17 22 that god calls medicine good have you ever read it a merry heart does good like what like what what does god attribute medicine to as you can't even say it can you you can't even say it because somehow you've put all
[01:11:21] of your healing eggs in the supernatural healing only basket and guys that's did you know in the book of revelation there's going to be a tree that's for the healing of the nations is that
[01:11:45] what the Bible says. Now, am I at all saying we shouldn't trust God that let's trust the medical field? Oh dear Jesus. No, because they're going to, they're trained to give you the worst case
[01:11:58] scenario and get you addicted on medicine. And I'm not saying all medicine is good for you, but you know, all medicine can't be bad because God told you in his word that he, he, he said,
[01:12:12] a merry heart does good like okay it's just good if we just read the bible right amen and certainly you got to pray about i mean what a novel thought that we would pray and seek god about what we about what we do with our bodies but here's the deal guys
[01:12:33] i've been healed supernaturally but but every time i've had different times when the lord has spoken to us, um, throw the, throw the pink bubble gum medicine away. It's not working. And when my son
[01:12:50] had ear problems and, and we threw it away and he got healed another time, the Lord said, take your son to the doctor right now. Okay. And he, he was two days away from dying. He had double,
[01:13:03] he had walking pneumonia. And so we do, we don't do, we don't do life and, and, and try to do healing to try to in some thing of pride so that we can, you know, boast to Andrew that we're some
[01:13:21] great faith people. Are you hearing me? Because my body belongs to the Lord and my wife, and I'm going to follow them. And if that hair lips, the devil and the Pope and somebody else, I don't get,
[01:13:32] I don't give a rip. Okay. I'm what I am. I'm standing before you really healthier than I was before. And, and I, and I had a major surgery. So I know we got to be, we got to be cautious about
[01:13:50] getting up, getting caught up in the medical system. So I understand that, but guys, doctors and medicine are not, are not all bad or dentists or insurance companies or all attorneys.
[01:14:05] Okay. My son's in the term, my son-in-law's an attorney. So in, in this case, after, in this case of this healing journey, after three years of worsening symptoms and receiving this word from my wife, I had a strong leading to go to a doctor. So I went to a family doctor. In fact, he's
[01:14:29] graduate from Karis. He's Karis family clinic, Dr. Linus. And I went and he, he sent me to do blood tests. And then, and then he sent me to a cardiologist. All the, all the blood tests came
[01:14:43] back really good. I mean, there was one that was a little, a little questionable. Then I went to the cardiologist who did several more tests on me and I found out my heart was good. Praise God,
[01:14:54] I didn't have a heart attack. My blood pressure was good, but they found some blockage in my arteries that they, they recommend doing a heart catheterization, which they, you can go through the arm or other places and, and they go through and they, you can put stents in and, and, and
[01:15:12] expand the artery. And man, what, what technology and medical technology is today, man. And I was going, I was going in on a Friday and going to be home that night. And, and, uh, but it wasn't to be,
[01:15:27] um, during this procedure, which usually takes about an hour, hour and a half, he pulled out after 25 minutes and I knew Houston we have a problem and he discovered that two of my main arteries were 99.5 percent blocked my widow maker was 99.5 percent blocked he couldn't
[01:15:50] even get through one of the arteries much less get a stent in there and he said if I try to put stents in there your heart could just explode and so he immediately stopped the procedure went out
[01:16:04] and share with my wife who thank God for my sons that were there with her when they told her that and uh thank God and then my daughter and son that came later um he said he immediately stopped
[01:16:21] the procedure highly recommended an emergency bypass surgery he didn't know how I'd made it uh so long without without that much blockage and the surgeon that was assigned to me only comes up from Texas twice a month. He was a strong Christian. He showed us videos of my
[01:16:41] arteries and told me and told us that my body, the only way I had lived and not had a heart attack was that, that my, my, my body had actually developed small little capillaries around the
[01:16:55] blockage. Is that powerful or what? And that, and that's how I had managed not to have yet experienced a heart attack and he said now without the surgery mr moore it's your choice without the surgery i can give you medication and you'll live two years maximum well that wasn't
[01:17:18] good news and so i had a decision to make to have the surgery or not to have it and to believe god for supernatural healing alone and you know that that could be what god would say okay i understand
[01:17:34] but i want to i want to try to help you under just help you understand how we walk through this and i'm telling you guys we walk through this by faith okay this was this was a faith journey all
[01:17:48] the way when they're telling us and and you know you got to make decisions like really quickly and i'm not really all together in my mind after they drug me up and put me through that heart
[01:18:01] catheterization. So here, here were the options. Um, you know, I thought, I mean, I either have the surgery or I don't. And, and in the natural, I have two years to live. Of course, you know,
[01:18:16] God's word supersedes that. But, um, as we prayed and we're considering this, I thought about my dad and my dad died of massive heart, massive heart attack in his sleep at 66 years old.
[01:18:31] and he had talked with my brothers and me about how he wanted his business affairs handled in the event he wasn't around just one more one month before he passed obviously he was having some kind of symptoms and he didn't tell anybody
[01:18:48] about it and he refused to go check it out and and he died and while I'm considering making this decision I wasn't fearful and I when I was thinking about my dad I wasn't fearful of having a heart attack I wasn't fearful of dying
[01:19:03] but I just couldn't imagine choosing not to have the surgery and then having a massive heart attack while trying to believe God for supernatural healing alone without any medical help and then leaving my wife and my children and my
[01:19:20] grandchildren and you guys in shock and grief and you know and because I'm a a strong man of faith and power. And we're going to do what we're going to do this. You know, I didn't give a rip about my pride. Okay. What's God saying? And that option just didn't seem to
[01:19:45] be love to me. That's where I was. I'm just telling you where I, where I was, that option of, of just standing up here and preaching one day and just falling over and then going to go into
[01:20:00] heaven in front of you guys and leaving my wife and my kids and my grandkids that just didn't there was no way i could fit you know the will of god is in christ jesus and i just couldn't fit
[01:20:12] that in the love of god i didn't make my decision to have the surgery out of fear i made it out of love i just i love my wife and i love my kids i love my grandkids and i want to be around i want
[01:20:32] to be there when they get married my grandkids get married and i want to you know i want to finish my race and i didn't feel like my race was done and guys i i went to that point it was like
[01:20:46] that just it just wasn't it wasn't love and so for me i'm just talking about for me and and so all right i don't care it's like i didn't i didn't care i mean i had i have
[01:21:02] I had people on Facebook, you know, that don't know me that well were condemning me for having a surgery. I don't care. It's not your heart. It's not your life. And that's not your wife. And I'm
[01:21:15] not going to leave her like that. I'm just not. I love her. We've been married over 50 years and we've, man, we were high school sweethearts and man, I mean, you know, it's, we're, we're best
[01:21:29] friends and we still kiss and more. And, and we're, we're, we have a great relationship and I'm just, I'm not done. And I'm, I mean, I just came to the thing of, I didn't make this decision
[01:21:44] out of fear. I made it a total out of love. Do you think this is an easy decision? I'm sawing your, your sternum, open it up and then don't tell them what they do with your heart and taking
[01:22:01] stuff out of your legs. And then I got it's two, two at TMI. Right. And then they wire you, they wire you back together. Oh Jesus. I can't even think about it. It's just the hardest thing
[01:22:18] in the world. I would never wish that on anybody, but I did that out of love. I didn't do it out of fear and faith works by love. And, and, um, anyway, so we decided, I said, all right, I'm
[01:22:32] to do this and after my wife and i made the decision one of the most precious precious things my grandchildren just gathered around my bed the night before the surgery and each one of them
[01:22:52] just prayed man from their hearts oh jesus just heartfelt prayers i was so touching so moving this brought me to tears man this is amazing anyway so i go in the next morning i was hoping
[01:23:16] i was in a dream you know i woke up in the middle of the night i hope i wake up and this is a dream and uh anyway but um so i wake up the next morning and and going into the surgery the
[01:23:30] surgeon was a christian and he and my wife and my and i think two of my sons were there they just prayed over me. God guide my hands in this surgery. He told me, he said, now, Mr. Moore,
[01:23:46] he said, look, I studied under Dr. Michael DeBakey, who developed the heart surgeries.
[01:23:53] And he said, I've done thousands of these. This is going to be easy for me and hard for you.
[01:23:58] and man was he ever right about that oh jesus but i can assure you of this one thing guys i have never been in a place where i was trusting god more than when they wheeled me under
[01:24:20] those operating room lights that's the last thing i remember before i woke up after the surgery and I, Jesus, I'm in your hands. You've led me here. And so you're going to have to take care
[01:24:33] of me. And, and, and he did. And the recovery process was very slow, very painful. They say slow is fast. I don't want to go into all the details, but I've never felt so helpless in all
[01:24:46] of my life, getting dressed, taking a shower, putting on demonic compression socks. Oh Jesus.
[01:24:54] I slept in a recliner for five weeks, couldn't get in my own bed, coughing and sneezing and laughing. Oh, it was so painful. The first time I sneezed, man, I sounded like a Comanche Indian.
[01:25:13] Ah, you know, anyway, but I'm so very thankful guys for your love, for your support, for my wife, my family so many people that prayed for us did so many things for us to Andrew and Mike and Carrie
[01:25:34] and Billy and and um Daniel and I they just were so gracious with me to allow me to not try to push me to come back too early and and I'm better today than I was before the surgery man my blood
[01:25:53] pressure is better my my heart rate is better my I have no more shortness of breath or tightness in my chest and and and I've got a new lease on life I've I just feel better it's like man
[01:26:08] I wouldn't wish that surgery on anybody but guys I'm just I just wanted to share from my heart with you. The Lord led us to do this. Now he may never lead you. I mean, God forbid that you would have
[01:26:25] to go through that, but he may never lead you that way. But look, you just can't come and tell me that I wasn't walking in faith. We were, we were as much as I know about faith. I was trusting
[01:26:37] God and we were standing on the word and still are today. I mean, those scriptures, I can quote them backwards. We were standing on the word and taking authority. And my precious wife just laid her life down for me because I was not a great patient. I was hurting for certain, man.
[01:27:09] I was, there were, it was just, it was so painful and so slow. I called friends of mine that had the surgery. I said, does this ever get better? But guys, I can touch my toes today. I can, I can,
[01:27:24] I'm, I'm lifting weights and I'm doing all kinds of things and cardio and man, I'm, I'm better shape and, and losing weight. And, and I'm just, but in here, so here's the deal. The reason I
[01:27:38] wanted to share this, I hope this didn't come across at all, just about me. Okay. I just wanted to share with you because I care and Jesus cares. There's not just one way to receive healing
[01:27:51] and I'm healed today. I mean, I have a couple of scars here, a landmine on my chest, it looks like, but I'm healed today. My heart's good. The cardiologist, when I've had my first appointment
[01:28:08] with him, he thought I'd been, had the surgery two months ago. It was one month. He said, man, you are doing great. And just yesterday he told me, he said, man, you are, you're a poster
[01:28:21] child for all this. Well, I attribute that to the Lord. Amen. And he used the doctors and the surgeons and the, and, and some of the medicine. And I just want to encourage you don't, man,
[01:28:35] if you have to, if you do something in the natural, don't get condemned about it. Amen.
[01:28:40] just trust God but don't put your trust in doctors and medicine put your trust in the Lord now you know I I'm open for any questions comments criticisms whatever you have if you if you would like to ask a question you can lift your
[01:28:58] hand we have some mic runners and if you don't that's fine if you have a question or a comment about what I've shared, lift your hand, okay?
[01:29:10] Get your hand up so that there's one over here and there's one here.
[01:29:13] And just tell us your name and first name and what's your question.

[01:29:17] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[01:29:17] Hello, sir.
[01:29:18] I'm Vincent.
[01:29:19] Vincent.
[01:29:20] Thank you for being there for us and we appreciate you so much.
[01:29:25] Is there a moment that really you could have regret or the enemy really tried to attack you?
[01:29:32] Because it was so fast, but once done how did you deal with anything like the bad thoughts or the bad comments you could have judgments were you already said that you did the right choice and you were super confident in
[01:29:49] it or have you been through some challenges in that so the question is just dealing with

[01:29:55] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_10]
[01:29:55] doubt or questioning your decision to have the surgery was that what you're mostly if you got

[01:30:04] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[01:30:04] some issues with guilt or whatever after a while because you saw all the consequences so probably your yeah carnal mentality i don't know how to say that but just to help us go through the yeah

[01:30:18] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_10]
[01:30:18] you know um vincent i didn't once once we make decisions once i've just learned this once i make a decision i'm gonna stay with it i'm not i'm not looking in the rearview mirror okay i'm not regretting it uh and if i missed it and the lord shows shows me i missed it i'll just
[01:30:38] repent but we prayed we sought the lord we and and again it was like i had when i was praying about do it and and the doctor and the surgeon they were very gracious they said you can have
[01:30:49] the surgery or not but but when i saw my dad and i preached at his funeral and i said i can't do that to my wife and I'm just not going to do it. That's not love. This can't be love. So we were
[01:31:03] resolute in making the decision and I haven't looked back. Now, did we go through stuff and doubts hit my mind and all that? Yeah, but I just went back to the decision that I made and I'm not
[01:31:18] here to try to prove anything to anybody or try to be the poster child or anything. I just want to get well and, and I, and I want to be well and I want to live long as to finish my race. And so I,
[01:31:34] I'm not saying doubts didn't come and discouragement didn't come, but I just go back to my decision and I felt like it was God and I felt like he led me. So I'm just not, I've just learned.
[01:31:45] I'm not going to, I used to second guess myself a lot, but I just don't do it anymore. Cause it's, it's just a dead end street. Yeah. So that's, that's how I dealt with it. Okay. So any other
[01:31:55] questions lift your hands if you have one or a comment was this helpful okay all right tell us

[01:32:05] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_12]
[01:32:05] your name and what's your question hi there brother greg my name is cynthia say your name again cynthia hey cynthia i'm just so blessed that you um shared this today you clarified a lot of things you brought things to light i've been kind of um questioning back and forth because
[01:32:26] I believe the Lord has put on my heart to start a healing center that's connected to the campground and I didn't know how to reconcile that with things that we've been learning at Karis and I didn't know what kind
[01:32:43] of flack I would receive or if it was unbelief but I knew what the Lord was telling me and this really really ministered to me today and I appreciate you. That's

[01:32:54] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_10]
[01:32:54] awesome Cynthia. You know Dr. Linus that we go to, you know, he, he said, you know, two minutes, first of all, a lot of medical doctors are too negative. And he said, what I try to do is be positive, but he said,
[01:33:09] I pray over my, I pray over my patients and, and I want to, I want, I want them to be healed without any medicine, but if they need it, I'll prescribe it. So to me, it's not either, or it
[01:33:21] It doesn't have to be either or.
[01:33:23] And we don't have to, let's not be condemned.
[01:33:26] You know, like if somebody is dealing with, my youngest son has struggled with diabetes and so he has to take insulin and don't condemn yourself for taking medicine that keeps you alive, amen?
[01:33:41] But just pray over it.
[01:33:43] And I'm all about getting off medicine.
[01:33:47] I'm all about getting out of debt, okay?
[01:33:50] but we used debt in buying our primary homes to buy and sell that helped us to get out of debt.
[01:33:57] Yeah, amen.
[01:33:59] Someone else?
[01:34:01] Yes, what's your name?

[01:34:03] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_00]
[01:34:03] Pastor Greg, thank you for the story.
[01:34:05] Very inspiring.
[01:34:07] My question was-

[01:34:08] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_10]
[01:34:08] And what's your name?

[01:34:09] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_00]
[01:34:09] Juan.

[01:34:10] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_10]
[01:34:10] Juan, okay.

[01:34:11] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_00]
[01:34:11] My question to you, sir, was in those moments where in the bed in the hospital and you're having your one-on-ones with the Lord, Was there any scripture, any new revelation that you got during that time?

[01:34:26] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_10]
[01:34:26] You know, I don't, I can't remember any new revelation I got, but you know what I got was just a compassion for the nursing profession. And I just started sharing with them, you know, that how thankful I was for them and I would thank them man every time they came in some of
[01:34:52] them would start crying it was like I said you know I'm going to be an ambassador for the Lord here and and and and they were like nobody ever tells us thank you you know and and so I just
[01:35:05] really got uh in the environment that I was in I just said you know I'm going to make the most of this and I want to be a blessing did you know you could be a blessing as a patient to the doctors
[01:35:17] and the nurses, especially to the nurses, man, they, you know, they deal with a lot of stuff and I just had a tremendous amount of compassion for them. And that was the revelation I got was
[01:35:29] use this position you're in to demonstrate the love of God. And man, I preached to some of them and I said, I'm going to, I'm going to improve quicker than what the, and I did. I mean, I did,
[01:35:41] i did a lot better than a lot of people that had had similar surgery so uh but as far as a specific revelation other than that and then just i just felt god's presence and love and his care for me
[01:35:57] through the whole time and then just the the love that my i got through my family when they they just dropped everything and it's like and the word that janice got you know to take heed to
[01:36:12] yourselves and all to all the flock that includes your family and i'm thinking man man i so valued and appreciated my kids and my grandkids and and they just out of their hearts did things
[01:36:26] i mean did special things for us that lifted janice's arms and called me and came over and did stuff for us, just, I mean, all the stuff, shoveling snow and all kinds of things. I couldn't
[01:36:39] shovel for a while. I mean, right now I don't think I'm still supposed to shovel yet, but anyway, but I, man, let's not do that yet, Janice here. Let's not, let's not push it. Yes.

[01:36:54] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_14]
[01:36:54] Thank you so much. It's such a blessing to be here. And on my 30 year journey, you know, this has blessed me because it just goes back to hearing God's voice and doing what he says
[01:37:09] and not a, um, denomination or a, a formula that I kind of went through 30 years of that, of thinking that, that, um, like you were saying, not what anybody else or a denomination or what
[01:37:27] you're around, the people you're around or whatever is saying, but what does the word say?
[01:37:33] and that's where our our safety is is i love what you also said about faith comes by hearing is that's where it all goes back to is our relationship with the lord hearing his voice and doing what he says because there is i it's it's being a blessing to me
[01:37:51] because um seeing that and yet through religion um or things like that that i've that i had taken on through the years of feeling like you're not doing what you're supposed to be doing yet you
[01:38:07] continue to seek him and then you see him come through amen and i appreciate that thank you

[01:38:14] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_10]
[01:38:14] that's awesome thank you what's your name shauna hey shauna thank you yeah guys i mean look it's just a relationship it's just what does the lord say and he loves us he's not holding out on us
[01:38:25] he's not holding out on you and god will get healing to you just doesn't always come the same way. And, and my body, your body belongs to him. If you're married to your spouse, trust God,
[01:38:38] keep your trust in the Lord. And, and I, man, I didn't go to the doctor right away. I never go to the doctor right away unless I hear go to the doctor. I mean, that's, that's kind of my last
[01:38:49] resort. I go to the Lord and, and we pray and, but I'm not going to vow not to go to doctors to take medicine it's just that's just that's not a winning formula to me it's that's legalism i'm
[01:39:02] just not going to do it and and i'm standing before you guys in better health than i was before i had the surgery and i'm just i thank god for that and i thank the surgeon and and the all
[01:39:16] the doctors and everything yes ma'am what's your name testing my name is shanda and um i just

[01:39:30] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_17]
[01:39:30] wanted to also thank you um i needed to hear this a year ago on my deathbed but i was just believing that somebody is going to watch later on and they're going to live because of this sermon

[01:39:44] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_10]
[01:39:44] amen yes amen thank you i mean god's after us living guys amen praise god did that was there any any others is there's one in the back okay i'm sorry i missed you forget it forgive me my name is

[01:39:58] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_01]
[01:39:58] uh gavin and gavin you might have already answered this uh i've missed the whole sermon so i'm not sure uh but anyway my question is how to discern um whether or not you know you should get that uh
[01:40:18] secular help you know from a doctor or something you know when you're trusting in god for healing and you know that's that's something i'm i'm doing for things but you know what's a

[01:40:31] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_10]
[01:40:31] a good way to discern whether or not to do that? Well, there's not an absolute way that I can tell you to discern that except just to present your body before the Lord to say, father, my body
[01:40:47] belongs to you. You know, the symptoms I'm dealing with, I'm coming against them. I'm standing against it. I don't believe this, but I'm, you know, faith is not, it's Gavin, right? Okay. Faith is not saying, I don't have pain. I don't have pain. I don't have pain. Okay. Faith is pain. I
[01:41:08] speak to you and I command you to leave my body in the name of Jesus, because I believe by his stripes, I am, I was healed. So, you know, you, you stand against it, take authority over it.
[01:41:22] But, you know, yield yourself to the Lord. Father, if you want me to do something different than what I'm doing and taking authority. And I didn't hear anything for three years that I was supposed to do anything different until my, until the Holy Spirit spoke to my wife.
[01:41:42] He sounds a lot like Janice. And, and I got a word that confirmed I was supposed to go check this out. And I'm glad I did now. I mean, you know, two days after the surgery, I can't say
[01:41:59] I wasn't doubting that, uh, like Vincent said, I wasn't doubting, but Oh Jesus, this is no fun.
[01:42:09] Okay. But, um, but yeah, I mean, if you're seeking the Lord and you're willing to do whatever. I think the question is, are you willing to go whatever route the Lord's leading you to do?
[01:42:23] You know, are you willing to do that? You know, and, and, and then, but father, I'm standing on your word. If you tell me something different, then I'll do it. And, uh, I'm just not too proud
[01:42:34] to go to a doctor and check stuff out. And even if it, even if the, we were at a point, my wife and I were, if, if the doctor told us something and we didn't agree with it,
[01:42:45] We're not going to do it. The doctor's not Lord, Jesus is. So, but a lot of us are in, we're, we're fearful of doctors. Doctors aren't against healing. They study, you know, to try to
[01:42:59] help people get well. So if there's something they can do to help me, then I'm, I'm all for it.
[01:43:05] I'm not against it. And that's not, that's not against your healing. Now, if God doesn't, if you do lose peace don't go but if you if you need to go go and pray and and you don't have to
[01:43:17] do what they tell you just your body belongs to the lord and you can hear god gavin you can hear him and and and he his voice is always peaceful okay is there any anyone else we have two more
[01:43:35] and we'll be we'll be done is this helpful even the questions okay all right and there's one

[01:43:44] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_15]
[01:43:44] one here in the middle okay yes yes sir what's your name hi my name is robert hey robert um uh just thank you for that i think you're awesome i think all the teachers here are awesome um but
[01:43:57] i just wanted to share this it kind of goes kind of what you're saying i was going through some things years ago panic attacks where I'd want to jump out of my a moving car at 60 miles an hour
[01:44:07] so I was taking medication for that but I was so frustrated praying to God about it because I was feeling condemned about taking the medication feeling like a failure in my faith so I go into
[01:44:19] the word and I'm praying to God saying Lord I feel like a failure and and I felt God say to me take the pills until your faith catches up and that's what i did so i slowly was getting the
[01:44:32] word and and i would not take them but then i'd go in the car with them in my hands and once in a while i would take it but i'd always be in the word um and now i'm completely free of it praise
[01:44:43] god awesome yeah but i'm just saying that sometimes medication yeah does play a role again let's not

[01:44:49] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_10]
[01:44:49] demonize the natural realm use it but let's not trust in it amen okay we'll

[01:44:55] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_13]
[01:44:55] have one more it's right here hi pastor my name is in shall win and my question is that sometimes I had already fixed my heart to make the decision and sometimes it's just the flesh it's like my hands is shaking after my and make the
[01:45:20] decision I feel the Lord lead me to that decision so how to deal with that so you rebuke that or meditates the scripture or how to have well you know I just get

[01:45:34] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_10]
[01:45:34] honest with the Lord about my decision my flesh wants to do this or doesn't want to do this I'll just tell the Lord you know father my flesh I don't want I I want to do the stint route.
[01:45:49] I didn't want to stint.
[01:45:50] I didn't want to do triple bypass.
[01:45:55] And so just be honest.
[01:45:59] My flesh doesn't want to do this or wants to do this, but I'm going to get in neutral about it.
[01:46:03] In other words, I'm going to be a living sacrifice, and I'm going to seek you and set aside my own wishes and my own fleshly desires and then get counsel from people that that you can trust that will help you
[01:46:21] make sure that the things you're considering are not your flesh that are of the spirit spend extra time also in the word hebrews 4 12 says that the word of god is the only thing that can separate
[01:46:33] between the soul and the spirit so what you need to do is drill down and find out what's in your spirit okay because and you maybe your soul is in line with your flesh sometimes so so uh so i spend
[01:46:47] spend extra time in the word praying in the spirit uh coming to healing now and learning and then and in worshiping god and and after you you do all that you're gonna really you're gonna drill down
[01:47:01] to what's in your heart just don't make a quick decision don't decide ahead of time just say lord you know what my flesh wants i'm setting that aside and i'm worshiping you i'm getting counsel
[01:47:12] i'm spending time in the word and then you follow peace that's in your heart always always know this guys many times we're asking god and i'm done with this okay is that all right all right many times
[01:47:26] we're asking god to lead us and we want him to take us by the hand and give us a supernatural confirmation of what we're supposed to do. And that's really immature. That's like, that's like
[01:47:40] Elijah, you know, was in the cave and God asked him first Kings 19, why are you, why are you here?
[01:47:46] And there was an earthquake, a wind and a fire, earth, wind and fire. And God was not in any of it. He was in a still small voice. And many times that's what we're looking for. Earth, wind and
[01:47:56] fire, a prophetic word, a vision or dream, something that will confirm we're hearing God, but it's a still small voice and a still small voice comes to us in two primary forms and that's the way it came to me about having the surgery it comes in two primary forms it comes in a strong
[01:48:15] inward desire psalm 37 4 that delight delight yourself in the lord and that that means you set aside your own will and then he'll give you the desires of your heart then uh or a strong inward
[01:48:31] knowing first John two 20, we have an unction from the Holy one and we know all things.
[01:48:38] I just knew that I knew what I knew that wasn't love to not have the surgery. I just knew I just couldn't do it. I could not do that to my wife and family. And so I, and then, and then here's
[01:48:55] is the deal. If you follow that inward witness or that still small voice, either that strong desire or inward knowing, it's always going to be accompanied with peace. Peace is your safety net.
[01:49:10] Amen. Amen. Father, I want, I want to thank you for those watching and those that are here father for their own healing journey. Lord, you're not holding out on them. You've got healing for every person here, and Lord, you're passing out gifts today, and the gifts of the Spirit are
[01:49:29] manifesting today for your people. You're going to download things in them. You're going to speak to them. Father, reveal yourself to them, and Father, I just speak wholeness, health, and life over everyone watching, over everyone here. In Jesus' name, amen. Thank you, Daniel. Love you

[01:49:50] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_16]
[01:49:50] guys. Appreciate y'all. Thank you, Greg. Thank you so much, my friend. Awesome having you back.
[01:50:02] Greg, what's your website? Gregmore.com? Gregmore.com. There's all kinds of resource on the website. The book, Open Door, Your Healing Door, talks about multiple ways to be able to

[01:50:17] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_10]
[01:50:17] connect to healing. During this time, I've got talking about Revelation 1. I got put out two new books. One is Overcoming Depression. And you can get that on my website. And then Living Free from Anger. Awesome. Yeah. Awesome. Yeah. So, man, we're still doing good things. Yes, we are.

[01:50:38] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_16]
[01:50:38] Amen. You know what I was thinking about, Greg, was Luke was a doctor. Yeah. Who wrote the whole

[01:50:45] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_10]
[01:50:45] gospel of Luke and the book of Acts. He was a medical doctor. Right? Yeah. And he traveled with

[01:50:50] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_16]
[01:50:50] the apostle Paul. I think about that. It's so interesting. We don't know from scripture exactly what happened, but you know, after Paul was stoned and left for dead, do you think Luke may

[01:51:01] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_10]
[01:51:01] have ministered to Paul's body? He probably put some band-aids on him. I think so. Some deus forum ointment or something. Something, right? Some plants or something put God on him, got him

[01:51:16] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_16]
[01:51:16] will. I just love how practical this was today. I was over in the UK, you know, a few months ago and we were having some Q and A and one of the people said, you know, I have a friend who
[01:51:28] believes in healing, but when they see people like you who are wearing glasses, you know, they're like, how can you believe in healing and wear glasses? And I said, well, would it bless you if I had contacts yeah yeah yeah right it's amazing how we can become so judgmental even
[01:51:49] though we've been healed with cancer and all kinds of different things and they make it about somebody's glasses yeah you know man let's keep the main thing the main thing amen and trusting in Jesus as the healer amen it's so good to have you back I love you Janice we love you thank you
[01:52:06] for coming and being a part of this today.

[01:52:08] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_10]
[01:52:08] Wasn't that AI thing great of her?
[01:52:11] That was awesome.

[01:52:12] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_16]
[01:52:12] Yeah, love that.
[01:52:13] Why don't you stand to your feet, those of you here in the auditorium, and again, our healing disciples, if you would come and get ready to minister.
[01:52:21] Those of you here in the auditorium who want some further ministry, man, we're here for you.
[01:52:26] We want to lay our jumper cables on you and lay our hands on you and just bless you today with ministry.
[01:52:34] Praise God.
[01:52:35] Jesus is for you.
[01:52:37] And the Bible says, if he's for you, come on, who can be against you?
[01:52:43] Nothing's gonna separate you from the love of God.
[01:52:46] And we're so grateful that he is the healer.
[01:52:49] He is the great physician.
[01:52:52] So those of you online, before I let you go, many of you already know this, but maybe you're new to the broadcast today.
[01:53:00] And I just wanna remind you that there are prayer ministers standing by right now to be able to minister to you.
[01:53:07] That's right.
[01:53:07] No matter what time zone you're in, what country you're in, our prayer center is now open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
[01:53:16] Isn't that awesome?
[01:53:17] Thanks to our faithful partners.
[01:53:19] So call that number, 719, area code 635-1111, and we'll be able to minister to you as well.
[01:53:27] And I believe that God is for you, but God also has already sent his word and healed you. Psalm 107 verse 20, he sent his word to heal you. And we want to hear about it,
[01:53:42] okay? So write back to us, let us know. We're going to rejoice with you. There's people all over the world today who are celebrating God's grace, all because of what Jesus has already finished on our behalf. Let's just lift up our hands one more time. Can we do that today? Just
[01:54:00] take a moment to just lift up our hands, and as we do, Lord, we want to just say we bless you with a heart of thanksgiving today. We lift up holy hands without wrath, without doubting,
[01:54:10] just to say bless the Lord who has forgiven us of all of our sin, our iniquity, and who heals us of all of our diseases. Lord, we bless you and thank you that it's already done,
[01:54:25] and we give you the glory for it. In Jesus' name, amen.
[01:54:30] Amen.
[01:54:31] Those of you here in the auditorium, if you want some further ministry, come out to the aisles.
