The Counterfeit Grace: A Theological Review of Creflo Dollar’s ‘Grace-Based Prayer’

The sermon is a clear articulation of Word of Faith theology, fundamentally rooted in several critical errors. It promotes a transactional view of giving (Prosperity Gospel), explicitly discourages daily repentance for sin (Antinomianism), and advocates for a passive view of sanctification (Quietism). The speaker's heavy reliance on subjective claims of divine revelation ('God told me') undermines the sufficiency of Scripture, and his entire framework reorients the Christian life around accessing personal power through a gnostic-like 'awareness' rather than humble obedience to God's Word.

🔍 Biblical Discernment: The 7 Church Parallels
The Faithful Parallels Smyrna • Philadelphia
Teaching that parallels the churches that endure suffering with true spiritual riches (Rev 2:9) and keep the Word of Christ without denial despite having "little strength" (Rev 3:8).
The Cold Orthodox Parallel Ephesus
Teaching that upholds doctrinal precision yet parallels the loss of the "first love"—the vital, motivating power of the Gospel (Rev 2:4).
The Formalist Parallels Sardis • Laodicea
Teaching that parallels churches relying on a reputation of being alive while being spiritually dead (Rev 3:1), or resting in lukewarm self-sufficiency, claiming to be "rich" while spiritually bankrupt (Rev 3:17).
The Compromised Parallels Pergamum • Thyatira
Teaching that parallels churches tolerating the "doctrine of Balaam" through cultural accommodation (Rev 2:14), or allowing seductive teachings that lead the flock into false gospels and immorality (Rev 2:20).
Why strictly "Mark & Avoid"?
We do not issue this rating to attack the speaker, but to protect the listener. This church's overall teaching trend consistently deviates from sound doctrine. As per Romans 16:17, we identify these patterns so believers can guard their hearts.

🧐 Overview

Sermon Summary: This sermon presents a version of 'grace' that promises power and release from guilt, but at a dangerous cost. By teaching that believers no longer need to repent for daily sins and that giving is a tool for prosperity, it swaps the biblical Gospel for a counterfeit focused on self-fulfillment rather than the worship of God.

Big Idea: Grace-based prayer is rooted in one's identity as a child of God, not in insecurity or performance. [00:00:00 ▶️ 📄]

Pastoral Analysis: The sermon is a clear articulation of Word of Faith theology, fundamentally rooted in several critical errors.

Biblical Parallel(Archetype): Thyatira — The sermon actively promotes a seductive teaching that redefines grace into a system for personal gain and dismisses the biblical necessity of repentance, mirroring the corrupting influence of Jezebel.

🧭 Biblical Alignment Dashboard

Overall Verdict: Fundamentally in Error

CategoryStatusReasoning
Soteriology ❌ FAIL The sermon promotes Antinomianism by explicitly teaching believers to end their day without repenting for mistakes. This corrupts the doctrine of grace by removing the biblical necessity of ongoing confession and repentance (1 John 1:9), replacing it with a simple 'awareness' of a finished work.
Bibliology ❌ FAIL The speaker claims direct, ongoing revelation from God that governs his preaching ministry ('God told me to talk about grace'). This undermines the sufficiency of Scripture by placing personal impressions on par with the closed canon of God's Word.
Hermeneutic ❌ FAIL The sermon employs a pretextual and anthropocentric hermeneutic ('Narcigesis'). Scripture is not expounded to reveal God's character but is used as a collection of proof-texts to support a pre-existing system designed to unlock the believer's personal power and identity.
Theology Proper ❌ FAIL God is functionally portrayed as a cosmic principle or system to be leveraged by the believer's giving and 'awareness,' rather than the sovereign Lord to be worshipped and obeyed. This reduces His character to that of a transactional deity whose blessings can be manipulated.

✅ Commendations

Theological Instinct | Emphasis on a Finished Work

The impulse to ground a believer's confidence in the objective, finished work of Christ rather than subjective feelings or performance is correct. This focus on what Jesus has accomplished provides a powerful starting point for true biblical assurance.

⚠️ Theological Concerns

🔴 Antinomianism (Rejection of Repentance)

Root Cause: Antinomianism: This is the belief that because of grace, God's moral law is no longer binding on the believer. It turns the freedom from the *penalty* of the law into a freedom from the *commands* of the law, leading to a life that neglects holiness.

"grace ends the day rejoicing in what christ finished not repenting for every mistake that was made" [01:05:42 ▶️ 📄]

Correction: The Bible teaches that while our justification is secure, our daily walk requires repentance. 1 John 1:9 states, 'If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.' Grace is the power to repent, not an excuse to avoid it.

🔴 Prosperity Gospel

Root Cause: Prosperity Gospel / Word of Faith: This is a modern heresy that teaches that God's will for believers is always health, wealth, and success. It wrongly applies covenant promises made to national Israel regarding the land to individual new covenant believers' finances and health.

"Well, it's opportunity for wholeness time, opportunity for prosperity time." [00:00:00 ▶️ 📄]

Correction: The Bible warns against the love of money and teaches that the goal of the Christian life is holiness, not wealth. The atonement of Christ secured eternal redemption from sin, not a guarantee of earthly riches (1 Timothy 6:9-10). Our hope is in Christ, not in material prosperity.

🟠 Quietism

Root Cause: Quietism / Keswick Theology: This teaching promotes a passive approach to the Christian life ('let go and let God'), suggesting that spiritual growth occurs by ceasing from all effort and simply resting. It denies the believer's active role and responsibility in the process of sanctification.

"The spirit of the Lord engineers this radical transformation." [00:32:54 ▶️ 📄]

Correction: Biblical sanctification involves both God's sovereign work and the believer's active, faith-filled obedience. We are commanded to 'make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue' (2 Peter 1:5) and to 'put on the new self' (Ephesians 4:24), all of which is done in reliance on the Holy Spirit's power.

🟠 Subjective Authority (Neo-Montanism)

Root Cause: Neo-Montanism: This is a modern form of the ancient heresy of Montanism, which claimed new, ongoing, authoritative revelation from the Holy Spirit that was equal to or superseded Scripture. It undermines the doctrine of Sola Scriptura (Scripture Alone).

"that's all i god told me to talk about and I ain't talking about nothing else until they talk about something else" [01:04:03 ▶️ 📄]

Correction: The canon of Scripture is closed and sufficient for all matters of faith and life (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Pastors receive illumination from the Spirit to understand and proclaim the written Word, not new, binding revelation to supplement it.

📝 Other Corrections & Notes

  • The phrase 'those who walk not after the flesh but in the spirit' in Romans 8:1 is not in the original text and was added by translators. [01:06:38 ▶️ 📄] → Correction: While there is a textual variant and the phrase is missing from the earliest and best manuscripts of Romans 8:1, it is present in the vast majority of later manuscripts and is found verbatim in Romans 8:4. The theological point about the necessity of walking in the Spirit is central to the chapter, so removing it from verse 1 to justify a lack of condemnation for those walking in the flesh is a misuse of textual criticism. (Romans 8:1, Romans 8:4)

[00:00:00] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_01]
[00:00:00] Changes. Well, it's opportunity for wholeness time, opportunity for prosperity time. If you need an offering envelope, if you'll lift your hands up, the ushers will get one to you. And as they're doing that, I want to look at 2 Corinthians chapter 9, verse 6 through 10 in the mirror translation, and then verse 12. 2 Corinthians chapter 9, verse 6 through 10 in the mirror, and then in verse 12. He says in verse 6,
[00:00:31] with the natural law there's a natural law that says stingy sowing will always reflect in the harvest so does liberal sowing you're like where are you going with this he says every individual must thoroughly thoroughly think this through in their own heart not with thoughts of possible
[00:00:57] regret or out of a legalistic sense of duty the agape love of God inspires extravagance of hilarious proportion now understand God's love inspires our giving he inspires us into extravagance it is impossible to exaggerate the dimensions and the detail of the grace of god
[00:01:30] you couldn't do it i mean god's grace is so deep and so high and so wide and all the things that he's already done for us so he says and notice he started off with giving no he says plunge into the
[00:01:44] extravagance of grace where he exhibits the extreme dynamics of his bountiful dealings with us plunge into that extravagance he starts out with that giving plunge into that extravagance we are already advantage because of what
[00:02:05] Jesus has already done far beyond any calculation of personal merit to be completely self-sufficient at all times. We just, some just don't know that. We're self-sufficient all the time. Every possible situation that we might face, we're sufficient in any situation
[00:02:29] that we might face. The overflow thereof amply supplies the needs of others in many creative ways to do good so when that harvest shows up in our life we're supplied to be able to do amazing things in the lives of people he says now here is
[00:02:53] David's take on liberal and extravagant giving here's David's tape and he takes us out of Psalms in Psalms 112 and verse 9 he says he has distributed freely he has given to the poor his righteousness consistently triumphs even in challenging times
[00:03:17] this is David's standpoint he says the inventor of seed and bread is also the one who supplies and multiplies your resources and increases the harvest of your righteousness and we know who invented the seed and the bread it was God God says I am going to supply and multiply your
[00:03:38] resources and increases the harvest of your righteousness now look at this uh in verse 12 this is such a win-win situation not only are the saints endorsed in their I am-ness through his most practical translation of your generosity but it is also it also causes an
[00:04:03] abundant overflow of great gratitude to God our giving to others it causes this great Thanksgiving and gratitude to God as the testimony of his goodness finds tangible expression in your gifts and what he is saying here is that God's
[00:04:21] goodness is expressed through our giving that when we give we are expressing God's goodness a lot of times people are giving to see if they can manipulate the system and so we can just kind of you know you know well God you know I gave
[00:04:40] this and that happened no God's already done everything you will ever need what he's trying to get you to do is I want you to express my grace and express my goodness through your giving and you become a part of that generosity flow
[00:05:02] you know today's teaching is going to be all about focus and if distractions can disturb your focus no matter how loud you shout in church or how far you dance it'll end when you finish if you don't understand getting the rhythm of grace
[00:05:26] where it's operating in your everyday living so you can see god do what needs to be done but a lot of that's going to be based on motive what moves you i'm already blessed you're already
[00:05:38] blessed because of jesus but when i can give and participate in this this expression of god's extravagant goodness oh my goodness that he's been so good to me that i can't be stingy in my giving
[00:05:56] because of what the Lord has already done for me.
[00:06:00] You follow what I'm saying?
[00:06:02] Father, we thank you for this opportunity to give, to become a part of this extravagance as we allow your creative ways to be shown through our giving that we can express grace through what we give and as we sow.
[00:06:19] And Father, I thank you that we're blessed because of Jesus.
[00:06:23] And I thank you, Lord, that this is aligning us with what you've already presented into our lives we praise you for it now thank you for this opportunity to be an expression of your grace through our seed in jesus name and everybody said
[00:06:37] amen amen ushers that's right baby amen amen i got me i got me an amener in here this morning now um we've been we've been talking about how to pray under the new covenant we call it grace
[00:07:03] based prayer. And this morning we're going to talk about how to implement grace based prayer every day. The practical is important. It's important that we understand how to do this every day. It's not, it's not just getting the knowledge of something. Oh, I know this and I
[00:07:19] understand that. And that's good. But when you wake up tomorrow, can you begin to implement grace based prayer in your life? Can you begin to implement, uh, the correct way to pray in this new covenant in your life and you got to be willing to let go of some old stuff now i'm gonna
[00:07:38] i'm gonna hit some a lot of um sacred cows uh uh this morning i um it seems like every time i get ready to teach something i'm hitting a sacred cow somewhere and somebody's like well i've held on to
[00:07:52] this all my life and i'm telling you let it go okay there's a new plan that exists there's a new covenant that exists and the thing about it if you don't let it go and you keep turning back
[00:08:04] to performance and turning back to the what the law tells you to do then eventually you're going to be judged by the law what's the judgment in prayer you're not getting anything it's nothing's happening uh you don't walk in an assurance that that when you pray that that something happens
[00:08:18] and i'm telling you i've been in my kitchen cooking and praying this way it's just it's amazing how how how things show up in your life that god has got to nudge you and say uh you
[00:08:32] remember praying about that oh yeah and he and he does that thing and so we're going to hit it this is the last uh teaching in this series so i really really want you to to get this i seriously thought
[00:08:45] about wearing jeans and a t-shirt this morning but i just i don't think taffy would let me do that. But anyway, I want you to get this, guys, and I want you to believe with me. Say out loud,
[00:08:58] my ears are anointed to hear. My heart is anointed to receive. And I thank God for the guidance of the Holy Spirit through this lesson this morning. In Jesus' name, amen. I tell you what, if she
[00:09:25] don't know a lot of English, she know how to say amen. That's the way you do it. Bring them to church and teach them how to say amen all right let's start in Ephesians chapter 1 and verse 3
[00:09:36] um yeah I'm just trusting the spirit of God I'll put this together so you can see it verse verse 3 says blessed or empower blessed is not the car it's not the house it's not the money
[00:09:51] blessed is an empowerment to have success in every endeavor endeavor in life the blessing is it's somewhat of an anointing to abundant life or abundant living blessed be the god and the father of our lord jesus christ all right who hath past tense already excuse me english done done it
[00:10:13] say out loud i'm blessed now because of jesus who hath blessed us okay i'm gonna finish read who have y'all ready though who have blessed us with all spiritual blessings now how many you know
[00:10:35] that you can't have physical blessings without spiritual blessings because the spiritual realm is the root of the physical realm world so he's already blessed us with all spiritual blessings they're in heavenly places they're in Christ and you and I are in Christ we that that points back
[00:10:53] to our identity we got to find out and understand that we're in Christ where the spiritual blessings are so we're already blessed so we're not praying to God to try to get him to do something so when
[00:11:06] we start this we started this off we started talking about grace-based prayer is rooted in four things it's rooted in your identity and not your insecurity grace-based prayer under the new testament is rooted in union and not in distance in other words you're not trying to reach
[00:11:23] god way in the distance somewhere you're united with him already he's in you praise god grace based prayer number three is rooted in the response to his faithfulness not a performance to try to earn uh earn his attention we're when we pray we are praying because god has been faithful
[00:11:44] to do everything he said everything he promised that he finished it's done okay and we pray in line with the finished and then finally we pray from a place of rest and not a place of striving
[00:11:57] we're not sweating and striving to try to get God to do something we're not trying to twist his arms we are resting in alignment with what Jesus has finished for us and we pray in alignment to that
[00:12:15] and then last week we talked about the marks of grace-based prayer number one we said that you pray from victory uh not for victory in a word in other words your starting line is is the finish
[00:12:28] line you're not praying from defeat to victory you're praying from victory to victory all right so that's that's uh that that was number one uh number two was we pray with confidence and boldness not shame we're not in prayer praying for shame we're praying for confidence we're
[00:12:47] praying from boldness boldness is not arrogance it's faith in Christ's finished work we're confident because it's already done we're confident because of our identity we know who we are sons of God joint heirs with Christ Jesus number three you agree with what God has said and
[00:13:04] not with what you feel what did he say what is he saying what has we what has he said to about you Your identity is not based on your past. It's not based on what somebody else says. It's based on
[00:13:17] what God said about who you are. That is the biggest attack from the devil. You remember when when God said to Jesus, he said to Jesus, you are my beloved son in whom I am well pleased.
[00:13:28] And then a few verses down, Jesus is led into the wilderness and Satan says to Jesus, if thou be the son of god turn this um turn this stone into bread now here's here's how i saw it
[00:13:42] he said you are my beloved son and satan says well if you are do this do if you are do prove it do something if you are perform something if you are strive something see striving and doing and
[00:14:01] performing is doubting your identity. And that's what is in the local church right now is that we're trying and we're striving and we're doing and we're performing, but we're just not believing that we are sons of God, that we are joined as with Christ Jesus. We say, yeah, I'll do that.
[00:14:22] I believe that if I do this and I'll do that and I'll do that. And we're, we're, we're trying to graduate ourselves to the place where he said that's where you already are you are that and
[00:14:34] then we looked at uh we pray with thanksgiving rather than anxiety when you believe that it's finished you're not you're not you're not anxiously going before God begging him Lord Jesus as loud as you can scream and some people they they they get offended at this teaching because they no longer
[00:14:54] are in in control because we're saying jesus has already done it so you're you're you're certainly not doing it through your principles and you're screaming and these made-up principles about prayer and how to get god to move god's already moved he's already finished it is no longer if
[00:15:10] my people which are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray and turn from their wicked ways and if you'll do that then i'll hear from heaven no that's a that that is a principle based
[00:15:20] in the old covenant do first and then you'll get it but under this new covenant of grace grace it is done believe it that that's the difference and then finally we said you you pray with a
[00:15:35] consciousness of righteousness and not a sin conscious if you're praying from the perspective of you know I'm just a sinner saved by grace if you're praying from that perspective that's not a grace-based prayer because basically what you're saying is Jesus like dude I gave you my righteousness
[00:15:52] I took your sin and I didn't have none on my body so you can have righteousness and you didn't have none and you still going around with the sin consciousness I want you to see it from Jesus
[00:16:04] perspective he died for you took your sins upon his body became the final sacrifice for you and you spit on the sacrifice and turn back to the thing that he sacrificed for you to be delivered
[00:16:17] from okay so today's about to be very interesting we're going to talk about how to implement it how do we implement grace-based prayer in our everyday life in your living make disciples I'm saying in your living learn how to pray where that is concerned so number one here it is start
[00:16:39] your day with identity and not request so when you get up in the morning you're starting your day with your, with identity, identity and not request. Grace-based prayer begins with you are waking up in awareness of who you are. You're not waking up asking. You're waking up
[00:17:05] in awareness of I am the righteousness of God. I am forgiven. I am complete in him. I have union with him. I am born of God. I am a son of God. First thing, first thing. And you, you, you got
[00:17:20] to train yourself to do this guys. It's not like this is just going to fall on you. You got to create a rhythm. You got to on purpose in the morning, create a rhythm, your eyes open and you
[00:17:32] say, I am born of God. I am the righteousness of God. I, I, I, I resemble him. I, all of the things i am the finished works of jesus christ so you're waking up in awareness you're not waking up
[00:17:46] requesting oh god make me like you oh god help make me righteous oh you know no you're you're waking up in awareness let me let me read this short prayer i mean so you can just get an example
[00:18:00] of this i thought i need to put some examples with this so you can follow me if we're talking about implementing it on an everyday basis. It sounds something like this. Father, I thank you
[00:18:09] that I awaken Christ. I thank you, Lord, that you live in me and that I live in you. And today, Lord, I walk in what Jesus has already finished. Notice, I am waking up in awareness of my identity.
[00:18:29] And then it goes together with 1 John chapter 4, 17 in the King James. Look at this. 1 John chapter 4 17 and king day king james i've been saying this in the grace gang in the mornings
[00:18:39] we've just been saying a quiet a real quick confession getting you getting you you know used to creating a rhythm of of your identity i'm going to show you in a series that everything launches from your identity this is why satan attacked jesus the first place he attacked him
[00:18:58] was in his identity god says you're my beloved son and g and satan said if you are then do this do that do it you don't have to do anything to be God's beloved except believe it and receive it
[00:19:11] I am God's beloved son say that somebody says well what about daughter that son is a non-gender word it includes you all right verse 17 says herein is our love made perfect that we may have boldness
[00:19:31] or confidence in the day of judgment because why because as he is so are we in this world present tense I'm telling you man this identity is the foundation for power the foundation for the
[00:19:51] supernatural the foundation for grace-based praying I don't wake up making requests I wake up in the awareness of who I am I wake up in the awareness of my identity I make sure I let myself
[00:20:07] know just in case something's in my head from something that I did in my past I'm like that ain't me no more I am forgiven I am righteous I am redeemed I am in God I am born of God I am
[00:20:22] complete in God I am connected with the vine you how you can go you can go a long time with that until you are convinced that whatever coming in your head i ain't got to do nothing this is who i
[00:20:34] am and you ain't saying this to get the applause from people you're saying this to start your day in alignment that's number one you got it we're waking up aware of our identity and they're not
[00:20:52] waking up requests prayer is not this this genie thing where you're waking up rubbing the lamp to see if you can get god to give you something let me tell you what's wrong with that even if you do

[00:21:02] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[00:21:02] that? Are you waking up trying to get God to do you something? Let me tell you what it looks like in heaven. We've already given it. Why do you keep making requests that have been fulfilled?

[00:21:15] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_01]
[00:21:15] From heaven's view, why do you keep making requests of what's been fulfilled? This is the new covenant. This is the new plan. This is the rhyme of the finish. One Lord, one faith, one baptism. It's already done. Faith. Yeah, maybe I shouldn't. I'm way out there now,
[00:21:36] Might as well say faith is a person. His name is Jesus Faith is a person. We keep making it just an action. It's a person It's it's after faith has come then we're no longer under under the law
[00:21:50] praise God

[00:21:52] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[00:21:52] After faith has come and what does that faith in its faith in in Jesus faith in Jesus?
[00:21:59] What is faith in everything Jesus is finished?
[00:22:03] We say we talk about being faith people behind you. How can you be faith people when you keep asking him?
[00:22:10] to do something he's already done if he's already done it we should just be receiving

[00:22:17] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_01]
[00:22:17] by the faith of god the finished i told you this is tackling everything you've heard in church all right verse uh verse number two all right implementing number two use scripture

[00:22:35] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[00:22:35] to align your mind not to convince God. We're not using scripture in prayer to try to convince God.
[00:22:47] God's already convinced. God's already convinced that you're righteous. God's already convinced

[00:22:54] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_01]
[00:22:54] that you're holy. We're using scripture to align our minds with the finished works of Jesus.
[00:23:03] so you use scriptures to align your mind not to convince God you read the word to remember not to earn I'm reading the Bible to nourish my my memory and to nourish the rhythm of
[00:23:22] of who I am and what Jesus has already finished so I open my mouth and I speak it I say out loud I am who you say I am God I am who you say I am and I'm reading the word and I didn't see this
[00:23:40] until I start reading the the mirror the mirror is all about your identity every time you look around it's talking about who you really are it's talking about your sleep to who you really are
[00:23:51] it's talking about one day when you wake up to who you really are it's talking and it talks about your original design and I thought about this this morning my original design was told to me
[00:24:00] in the book of Genesis. Let us make man in our image, in our likeness. That's my original design.
[00:24:09] That's man's original design. Man was made in God's image, in God's likeness, created to resemble God, and somehow religion talked you out of your original image. You are like God. That's why he's

[00:24:29] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[00:24:29] not wiping you off right now because too much of you reminds him of himself and you can't deal with that because your behavior has been messing with your identity and religion said that you

[00:24:49] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_01]
[00:24:49] since your behavior is like it is you can't have no identity until you correct your behavior without understanding that it is your identity that leads your behavior but religion has got your behavior trying to lead your identity and that's just like the buggy trying to pull the
[00:25:06] horse instead of the horse pulling the buggy look at second corinthians chapter 3 18 let's read it in the king james and then after that the mirror use scriptures to align your minds not to convince
[00:25:26] god i read the word to remember all that he has done and not to earn it's that whole thing trying to earn something trying to get something five principles to get that oh what are they five
[00:25:43] principles to stop that what are and then we have these questions well you know well how do you do this and somebody asked me well well how do you have a good marriage just read the word be what
[00:25:54] the word tells you to be it ain't all i in that deep and then i hear people coming up these marriage principles that stuff don't work why because it's born out of striving too many rules can't remember
[00:26:05] all them rules y'all talking about just figure out how to be who God has created you to be in your original design and you'll end up loving one another you'll end up doing everything you need to
[00:26:16] do but you you're trying to you're trying to manage your behavior while you're trying to find out some more principles of how this can work by ignoring your identity I didn't I didn't know that what was going on yesterday with with our country and Israel and and and Iran I didn't I
[00:26:44] didn't even know that was happening and when when taffy told me it was happening i i went to my window i said come quickly lord jesus i'll preach this thing whenever you don't preach but hey
[00:26:59] somebody said don't say that you better you better you better hurry you better go i'm not gonna go to heaven they might have one little thing going on heaven they probably not i'm just kind of come to the gate they say who are you and you you like you don't even know how to
[00:27:15] answer that are you giving your first name the angel at the gate like no look at this verse 18 but we all oh my god with open face beholding as in a glass some translate say a mirror
[00:27:45] we behold in a glass or mirror the glory of the lord so powerful because you're praying for glory and he says you're looking at it all right now watch this you know in a glass the glory of the
[00:28:10] lord now notice what happens now notice what he's doing you're still trying to change your behavior but notice what if you'll just if you'll just just by beholding him you are changed just beholding him through the word through what he's trying to show you about yourself through your identity
[00:28:32] just by beholding him you are changed into the same image from glory to glory and you're changed

[00:28:41] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[00:28:41] by the spirit of the lord you're not doing the changing that's the problem you keep trying to

[00:28:47] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_01]
[00:28:47] manage the transformation not one time did god ask you you are responsible for the transformation look what he says here in the mirror second corinthians 3 18 now we all with new understanding that's what I'm trying to give some new understanding about what we didn't understand
[00:29:10] we all with new understanding see ourselves in him we see ourselves in him as you see yourself in the mirror the days of window shopping are over in him oh boy this is strong the word every
[00:29:33] in him every face is unveiled but not until you get in him see that's the difference between you who are saved you who are not saved you are saved are in him and then those who are not in him
[00:29:48] they're on outside they don't know who they are they're walking around don't know who they are they're walking around Clark Kent as you have discovered that you're Superman the days of window shopping are over in him every face is unveiled in gazing with wonder at the likeness
[00:30:10] of Elohim oh boy you're gazing in the likeness of Elohim God oh my goodness Elohim that is displayed in human form you you're trying to act like you don't know what he's saying he's saying
[00:30:33] if you will start beholding him the transformation will start taking place and by the holy ghost he gonna have you looking at Elohim in you in human form and still the angels show up with
[00:30:56] the question what is man that thou art mindful of him that you visit him we suddenly realize that we are looking into a mirror where every feature of their image articulated in the Lord every feature of your image articulated in the Lord is reflected within us religion makes that
[00:31:37] hard for you to believe because you're trying to believe that based on the behavior pulling the identity and something happens when you believe this then your identity starts pulling the behavior but religion has taught you manage behavior manage behavior let's not even talk
[00:32:06] about being like Christ you ain't you ain't like Christ the way you was cussing last night you ain't like Christ the way no no no no you you don't understand all of that cussing changes when you
[00:32:17] find out that that's not you but you're still sitting there even this morning trying to figure out, well, how does that happen? I got to do something for that to happen. And I just read
[00:32:33] to you that it happens by the spirit of God. So now you see what the, the, the, the, the gigantic enormity of faith that I believe this Lord do your thing. The spirit of the Lord engineers this
[00:32:54] radical transformation. The Holy ghost engineers this matter. I guarantee you every transform, everything you've ever done to try to engineer the transformation from your bad nasty self to your holy sanctified self has failed you still nasty or maybe
[00:33:20] you ain't nasty all the time maybe you you maybe you can be maybe you've engineered it to look right for three or four months but nasty is always gonna be knocking on the door because it's the Spirit of the Lord that engineers this
[00:33:40] radical transformation. We are led from an interior, now here's the question, so how's he engineering, oh glory to God, so how's he engineering this radical transformation? He says we're led from an inferior mindset, so the mindset's got to change. You're led from an inferior mindset
[00:34:03] to the revealed endorsement of our authentic identity. The inferior mindset is the mindset

[00:34:11] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[00:34:11] that just can't see yourself in his image.
[00:34:15] It's inferior for you to think like that.
[00:34:20] And it says, I got to get you waking up

[00:34:23] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_01]
[00:34:23] knowing that you're like him, that you're made in his image, that you are redeemed, that you are forgiven, that you are complete in him, that you are everything he says you are.

[00:34:39] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[00:34:39] And it's all finished.
[00:34:41] it is your stance trying to transform your state it's going to take a radical mind shift

[00:34:56] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_01]
[00:34:56] don't you think i sat down i tell my preachers like preach that god is calling some courageous leaders in the earth in these last days who will preach it and not care about what anybody says
[00:35:14] about it because every major shift in the church came from somebody who was delivered from people from the fading glory of our own achievements.
[00:35:35] You see that?
[00:35:36] Taking you from the fading glory of your own achievements to the discovery of the most amazing reality

[00:35:43] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[00:35:43] that we, tough, if you've been in religion all your life, that's tough.
[00:35:59] If you've been in church all your life, and that ain't how it went because most of us, you know, we just kind of been preaching what everybody else has been preaching and saying what everybody else
[00:36:08] has been saying and we concluded that we have reached the depth of that scripture and the bible is too deep for a human being to

[00:36:16] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_01]
[00:36:16] reach the depth of it so you keep digging i kept digging because one day i woke up and i didn't believe nothing i ever been taught i said something wrong why because i went in the kitchen to cook
[00:36:34] that recipe on the brownie and it came out cornbread something wrong then i went in the

[00:36:46] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[00:36:46] kitchen and cooked this and i can't even give you the intricate details of everything that happened because it happened by the Holy Ghost.
[00:36:54] God is saving people with nobody around.
[00:37:00] There's a man who was a hellion, getting off work, got in his truck, and the presence of God was in the truck, and he gave his heart to Jesus.
[00:37:12] He don't know how.
[00:37:14] He just know the whole...
[00:37:15] Let me tell you, God don't really need you

[00:37:17] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_01]
[00:37:17] to do what he wants to do, but you do need him in order to do what you need to do oh jesus oh jesus oh jesus all right so here's number three we're going to implement grace-based prayer number three
[00:37:48] oh boy here we go pray in the spirit to stay rooted in grace's reality pray in the spirit or the or tongues we're getting ready to talk about tongues only reason i talked about that
[00:38:16] much because a lot of a lot of preachers don't know the the the bottom line of it and we've been afraid of it for a long time so let's talk about it if there's a missing something going on in your
[00:38:36] life it's probably right here praying in tongues keeps you locked into your spiritual identity first corinthians chapter 14 and 4 praying in tongues keeps you locked in to your spiritual identity i've heard all kinds of stuff the bible says in verse 4 he that speaketh in an unknown
[00:39:09] tongue next word edify it that word edify means to build yourself up to build yourself up and that's interesting he says he that speaks in an unknown tongues edifies himself this is something for you you are praying in tongues to build yourself up to build yourself up but then he
[00:39:37] makes a distinction but he that prophesieth in tongues edifies the church all right what is the difference praying in tongues builds you up keeps you locked into your spiritual identity prophesying in tongues is when I speak in tongues in public and then I turn around and give the
[00:40:00] interpretation in public of what I just spoke in tongues there's a difference we used to be praying in church and some old boy would walk in and rebuke everybody and talk about y'all out of order
[00:40:12] and I'm like well first of all you don't go to church here so you out of order get out ain't nobody asked you to come in and be the tongue police today get out we praying
[00:40:22] somebody said that ain't love if my love wasn't cultivated real good back then because I was trying to manufacture it myself and the fruit of the spirit is not cultivated through self-effort it is his spirit it is his fruit and so as I'm focused in on my union with
[00:40:55] him the fruits that I need show up on my branch because remember the branch can't do nothing without divine the branch only displays what it has in union with the vine okay so basically here
[00:41:11] praying in tongues keeps you locked into your spiritual identity you are not trying to access God by praying in tongues you're accessing awareness of what you already have by praying in tongues I am praying in tongues to stay locked into my spiritual identity I am praying in tongues
[00:41:35] to access or to access my awareness, tongues will do that. Tongues will make you, you'll start becoming aware of a lot of stuff when you start praying in tongues. Now, let me take you on a
[00:41:49] little journey here because this is too important to just kind of go by real quick. Tongues will build up your awareness in three areas. Let me give them to you. Tongues will build up your
[00:42:00] awareness in three areas number one you will become aware when you're when you're praying in tongues you will become aware of your union with God he is the vine you are the branch he lives in you you live in him you're abiding in him believe it seriously believe it or not
[00:42:22] when you pray in tongues it is making you more aware of your union with God number two Praying in tongues will make you aware of your righteousness You will become aware of your righteousness That I am the righteousness of God
[00:42:45] That I have been created in his righteousness that I don't I'm not striving to be righteous. I am righteous I am in union with God praying in tongues makes you more aware of that and then number three
[00:42:56] praying in tongues makes you aware of spirit consciousness. The only way you're really going to understand that last part is you got to do it. I'm more aware of, I'm more spiritually conscious of certain things. There are all kinds
[00:43:16] of amazing things that happen when you spend some time praying in tongues every day. You become spiritually aware or conscious of your, you build a spiritual consciousness that you become aware of.
[00:43:30] it's not striving upward it's it's it's strengthening inward praying in tongues is not I'm praying in tongues so I can you know strive upward and reach God somewhere in the atmosphere no it's it's inner it's inner strengthening so when I pray in tongues
[00:43:48] I'm building myself up I I am being strengthened inward I have there oh there's stuff that that comes in let me give an example when i pray in the holy ghost i can i can write notes for a sermon
[00:44:04] but praying in the holy ghost strengthens me inwardly and revelation of what i hadn't written down or what i hadn't planned on saying starts flowing out because i am strengthening my spiritual consciousness on the inside so i'm not praying to try to reach god i'm praying and it's
[00:44:21] providing inward strength glory to god inward strength and again people they don't they don't do this because somehow they've been talked out of it and what a what a gift it's a gift you can
[00:44:36] it's a it's a wonderful gift that flows from a gift you have the gift of the holy spirit and then tongues is a is a gift that flows from the gift you don't have to strive to get it but then
[00:44:45] remember how we used to get it come on come on get it get it get it get it get it you know don't get on that. Get it. I don't know what they slap you or something. Get it. You ain't getting
[00:44:53] up. You're striving to get it. I forgot how to use the, how to use to make people do that. But look at this first Corinthians chapter 14, verse four, first Corinthians 14 in verse four in the
[00:45:10] mirror translation. I'm going to show you a Greek word. Uh, I think it's Ecclesia. It's just, it just talks about um the the the gathering or it's talking about it's another word for church it's the greek word for church but it's it's really talking about the fact that that uh we're
[00:45:35] gathering together uh the called out ones i think it it it says that too the called out ones of the church not the building but the the the gathering not the building the gathering he says while
[00:45:51] speaking in tongues is primarily for personal edification personal building up primarily it is also a prophetic instruction that is inspired for that gathering that that ekklesia that that gathering and it can be inspired when it's used as a gift to deliver a word or a message
[00:46:18] okay and it's building you up primarily but it can also benefit the gathering of people the ecclesia of people that that come into a place or whatever because you're going to be co-operating with the holy spirit so now let's look at something here let's specifically talk
[00:46:42] about tongues how it nourishes your spirit identity let's look at grace-based tongue prayer grace-based tongue prayer all right number one it is cooperation with the spirit when I pray in tongues I am in cooperation with the spirit all right look at this in Romans chapter
[00:47:17] eight. I am in cooperation with the spirit. When I pray in tongues, I'm co cooperating.
[00:47:23] And what I mean, not, not cooperating by doing what he tells you to do, although that's part of, but I'm in coal dash operation with the spirit working together with the Holy spirit.
[00:47:36] Look what he says here in verse, uh, Romans chapter eight, verse 14 through 17, romans 8 14 through 17 he says for as many as are led by the spirit of god they are sons of god so
[00:47:51] i can't tell you how important it is that you be led by the spirit of god that's your sons of god when you're led by the spirit of god your identity is sons of god but you you got to have a relationship
[00:48:00] with the holy spirit this is not going to work if you say well i go to church and that's the sum total of your christianity it is i have a relationship with the holy spirit and he leads me
[00:48:14] as a son verse 15 for you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear but you've received the spirit of adoption whereby we cry abba father he's still working on our identity telling us who we are next verse the spirit himself bears witness with our spirit now look
[00:48:35] at the cooperation here the spirit himself the Holy Spirit now bears witness with our spirit and I'm like okay so what is he going to bear witness with look at this one thing he's bearing
[00:48:46] witness to that we are children of God the Holy Spirit is bearing witness with our spirit concerning our identity so when you pray in tongues and you're going to cooperate with the

[00:49:01] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[00:49:01] Spirit who's going to be constantly convincing you of who you are. Spirit of God bears witness with our spirits that we are the children of God. That's your identity. That's your identity. You're sons of God. You're children of God because you're born of God, and the Holy Spirit is going to

[00:49:23] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_01]
[00:49:23] continue to make that clear to you concerning your identity. Secondly, the grace-based tongue prayer is not pressure to perform. It's not pressure to perform. Oh, Jesus, we got stuff going on to pray. Give somebody the mic that don't understand what this whole thing's about.
[00:49:55] And man, it turns into just a straight performance. That's not what it is.
[00:50:03] Tongues is not pressure to perform. It's not.

[00:50:13] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[00:50:13] Like bro, what's what is that? It's not pressure to perform

[00:50:30] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_01]
[00:50:30] It's not for performance. It's for convincing you Cooperating with the holy spirit and hearing this over and over and over again This is your identity. This is your identity I'm going to strengthen you in that i'm gonna build you up in that i'm gonna strengthen you in your identity
[00:50:50] I'm gonna build you up in who you are. I'm gonna strengthen you and everything that's been finished i'm gonna strengthen you i'm gonna strengthen you this tongues flows from that gift which is a gift
[00:51:02] it's like you treat it like it's got to be done like a requirement it's it's it's a gift it's like listen to this it's a gift available for whoever wants it you have the holy ghost that's the gift
[00:51:16] and the fullness of the holy ghost produces tongues that's a gift that's a manifestation that's flowing from him. Okay. It's not a heaven to hell issue. It's not a heaven to hell. God

[00:51:30] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[00:51:30] knows how to do that. I know a lot of people who didn't come to church to get, get to, get to speaking in tongues. They was this whole studying the word and studying who they were. And they

[00:51:40] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_01]
[00:51:40] began to, they spoke in tongues and God, God, you don't think God know how to do that by himself.

[00:51:45] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[00:51:45] He don't need you to go to no prayer room to try to figure out, figuring out how to speak in tongues

[00:51:50] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_01]
[00:51:50] is striving to try to get a gift I know all this sounds strange but you better listen to me and then number three speaking in tongues is participating in divine intercession look at Romans 8 26 and 27 speaking in tongues is participating in divine intercession so now
[00:52:20] this is where you get into the big part you're participating in divine intercession okay Lord

[00:52:27] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[00:52:27] how do i say this you are not the one standing in the gap god jesus is the one that stands in the

[00:52:38] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_01]
[00:52:38] gap you're not the one well i'm gonna stand in the gap for you no thank you jesus is already in that

[00:52:45] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[00:52:45] gap that gap is full but we say these little things oh we're standing in the gap standing

[00:52:56] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_01]
[00:52:56] in the gap no you are assisting the one look let's read it let's read it let's read it likewise the spirit also helpeth our infirmities infirmities are weaknesses of the flesh the infirmity in context here is you don't know you don't know how to pray about everything
[00:53:21] because you don't know about everything so that's a weakness so he says likewise the spirit also helpeth our weaknesses of the flesh for we know not what we should pray for as we ought but the
[00:53:37] spirit himself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered in articulate speech whatever language you are so it's not going to be able to utter it in the language that you speak but in an utterance you don't speak and he that searches the hearts knoweth what is the mind
[00:54:06] of the spirit because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God he's making intercession for us according to the will of God I tell you right now the will of God is that we know
[00:54:20] who we are and come to the place of our identity and when he talks about with grown as can't be uttered that's you praying in tongues cooperating with the great intercessor and we didn't turn to all this circus
[00:54:37] stuff he is always going to be going back to do you know who you are do you know who you are do you know who you are your identity your identity your identity I can't do all of the free stuff
[00:54:50] I did for y'all it's it's it launches from your identity it launches from your identity because if you don't think you have a right to it then you won't have no boldness and confidence to receive
[00:55:00] it so praying in tongues gives me cooperation and I am I am now assisting or working with the Holy Spirit who knows all things who will grant me some stuff because the Holy Ghost will lead

[00:55:22] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[00:55:22] and guide you into things you don't even know about and by me praying in tongues I connect with

[00:55:32] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_01]
[00:55:32] him and not only do I build myself up but I also have opportunity to work with him to pray about stuff i don't even know about and build myself up now any of you who know i'm you know what i'm
[00:55:55] talking about you look at yourself after you pray for prayed in the spirit for 15 30 45 hours you get up like i don't know what just happened but bring it on devil wow bring it on bring it on

[00:56:12] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[00:56:12] what's up what's up i know who i am i know the finished works of jesus i know i'm not defeated I know that greater is he that is in me than he is in the world bring it on devil why should I be

[00:56:25] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_01]
[00:56:25] afraid when the greater one lives on the inside of me why should I be afraid when the author and the finisher of my faith abides on the inside of me you don't know what I've been doing for the
[00:56:36] last 30 minutes you don't know who I am connected with I participate in divine intercession I participate in God Holy Ghost intercession well how do I participate with groanings that can't be uttered or articulated in the English language that I speak if that's that's the language you
[00:56:59] speak I participate with him that that's enhancing even my relationship with him I am the branch he is the vine when I pray in this tongue I participate with the great intercession and it ain't you
[00:57:18] you just have a right as a son of god to participate so that you can lock in on your identity knowing you have a right to walk with him oh that's right lord so so peter is on the
[00:57:38] water he's like you know jesus says he sees jesus walking on the water he said jesus if that's you then bid me to walk on the water and jesus like well it is me and so he said come and peter started
[00:57:50] walking on the water towards Jesus and then Peter started looking at stuff around him and then he became distracted and that's the word for the rest of this year distraction you're walking on top of
[00:58:04] your circumstances and then you're distracted a distraction is an intrusion of your mind to try

[00:58:12] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[00:58:12] to cause confusion about your identity Peter was distracted I'm walking on the water he's like

[00:58:20] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_01]
[00:58:20] wait a minute, I'm a man. He was just reflecting what Jesus, oh God. So he began to sink. Jesus

[00:58:34] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[00:58:34] reached down, picked him back up and they walked back. They walk on water. People don't look at

[00:58:40] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_01]
[00:58:40] this. They walked on water together back to the boat. And that is a picture of our need to have him with us every day of our lives, that there's no circumstance that we can't walk on top of

[00:58:52] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[00:58:52] because we're walking with Jesus.
[00:58:55] I'm not walking by myself.
[00:58:58] I'm not walking alone.
[00:59:00] I ain't scaring no devil.
[00:59:01] I'm walking with Jesus, and he is helping me to walk on top of circumstances and situations.

[00:59:07] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_01]
[00:59:07] I dare you to tell somebody, I'm walking with Jesus today.
[00:59:18] Devil show up, you say, you don't know who I'm with today.
[00:59:21] You don't know who you with, who you with, who you with.
[00:59:23] I'm walking with Jesus today.
[00:59:25] I'm a prosperous man because I know who I'm with.
[00:59:27] I'm with him praise God you better watch out I don't care how many I don't listen I don't care what they got going on I don't care about the wars and rumors of wars I don't care about who they say
[00:59:38] you better be careful they're gonna blow that up you better not go there I'm gonna go everywhere God tell me to go because whatever he tell me to go he gonna be walking with me you will never walk
[00:59:48] alone you will never walk alone he said I'll be with you even to the end of this world I'll never believe you nor forsake you glory to God you will never walk alone never not then you might
[01:00:03] have to to remind yourself who you are so you can participate with the great

[01:00:11] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[01:00:11] intercessor so you can build yourself up y'all excuse me for for screaming uh y'all

[01:00:26] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_01]
[01:00:26] hey glory to god look at first corinthians 6 17 real quick first corinthians 6 17 in the mirror when you pray in tongues you are expressing your union with god tongues flows from that oneness with god that's where it come from it's come from that oneness with god it's not
[01:01:06] um reacting to God it's expressing union with him I'm praying in tongue I'm expressing my union with God I'm expressing my union with him I'm expressing my union with him you don't pray in tongues to get
[01:01:25] closer to God you pray in tongues because you are one with him I'm not trying to get close to him I'm already close to him I'm I'm praying in tongues because I'm close to him I'm close
[01:01:37] to him tongues does not earn manifestation it manifests from fullness tongues manifest because you're full of him and it flows out of you in the overflow I love what this says in the in the mirror
[01:02:06] in our union with him we are one spirit with the Lord in our union with him we are one spirit with the Lord. Now, what I just preached on is for people who's sick and tired of the normal

[01:02:29] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[01:02:29] religious flow. It's time for you to see supernatural. It's time for you to walk in

[01:02:36] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_01]
[01:02:36] supernatural and not be a preacher. It's time for you to walk in miracles and not be an evangelist.
[01:02:42] You can stop. The title ain't going to do it. Ain't no anointing in the title.

[01:02:49] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[01:02:49] They should have gave you the title because you had the anointing. Ain't no anointing in no title.
[01:02:52] You can give yourself all the titles in the world.
[01:02:55] I'm the most high Pope Tate or whatever you want to do.
[01:02:58] Put a big old Pope hat on, wear white robe, mix them up, put it on you all you can.
[01:03:03] That ain't no anointing and all that.

[01:03:11] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_01]
[01:03:11] But it's what you do in the secret places.
[01:03:13] It's what you do when nobody else is watching you.
[01:03:17] It's what you do when people can't understand it.
[01:03:20] You're a little peculiar.
[01:03:21] They don't understand why you ain't talking because you're still in tune with what you just came out of.
[01:03:26] Glory to God.
[01:03:27] you're being you're being radically changed changed in your mind and transformed in your

[01:03:32] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[01:03:32] mind because you you've come to the place of realizing when he looks at me he sees his self so i know i know ain't nobody gonna invite me all in no well because that man's strange he
[01:03:53] all he talk about is grace all he talk about is grace he on the planet somewhere on mars he just that's all he talk about well that's all i that's all i god told me to talk about
[01:04:03] and I ain't talking about nothing else until they talk about something else I told him I preach on grace until you tell me to stop or until I leave I'm gonna keep talking about it and I didn't think
[01:04:12] I could I'm like hey you can't what else is there to say except unmerited love or unmerited favor

[01:04:17] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_01]
[01:04:17] I thought that's it I done preached all I know well you didn't know enough because he is deep and he is high and he is wide hallelujah and you can never exhaust the revelation of Jesus
[01:04:29] number four we implement it throughout the day by responding not reacting we respond not react when challenges come grace-based prayer responds from rest so instead of lord fix this panic lord fix that situation we say father thank you that your peace gives me all of the stuff i need
[01:05:12] right now thank you lord that i got peace right now and that and then your peace starts ruling like an umpire yeah so stuff happened father i think i got peace right now situation ain't going
[01:05:27] right father i think y'all have peace right now i receive peace right now somebody said what that got to do with the problem honey if you got peace everything gonna work itself out number five
[01:05:42] end your day with gratitude and not guilt grace ends the day rejoicing in what christ finished not repenting for every mistake that was made that's what i thought you do i thought you come home get on your knees and say lord i ain't do that right oh lord i lost it here lord i repent
[01:06:04] that ain't what i want why that ain't uh-uh i want you rejoicing in what i have finished for you say stuff like thank you father that you kept me in your grace today instead of condemning yourself
[01:06:20] romans 8 and 1 says there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in christ period walk in the spirit or the flesh all that that wasn't in the original translation you're delivered from that right now there is therefore now no condemnation to them which
[01:06:38] which are in christ jesus period then the translators walk the translators tried to make it striving basis those who walk not after the flesh but in the spirit that is not even in

[01:06:50] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[01:06:50] the original text see that and I spent years trying to qualify to not walk behalf condemnation

[01:07:02] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_01]
[01:07:02] because some translator added that on there and I said now wait a minute I've been walking in the flesh instead of the spirit so then I've got condemnation there now the point is if you're
[01:07:12] in Jesus there's no more condemnation you ain't got to worry about walking in the flesh because

[01:07:22] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[01:07:22] in Jesus and if you do walk in the flesh you're still in Jesus so let me let me do this right

[01:07:36] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_01]
[01:07:36] quick I got two three minutes left grace-based prayer equals prayer that's rooted in the finished works let's summarize the whole thing prayer rooted in the finished works in other words you pray as a son not a servant servants try to twist God's arms number two you pray from victory
[01:08:00] not for it number three you pray from Christ in you not from distance like you got to reach up high to get him somewhere and get him to come down number four you pray with boldness or
[01:08:19] confidence not shame you don't go to praying God with shame shame causes you to hide from God you pray with confidence and boldness number whatever that number is you you pray what is this six five number five you pray with thanksgiving not anxiety most of your new
[01:08:40] testament prayer is thank you lord for this thank you lord for that thank you lord for that thank you thank you for all the finished works and the last one you pray from righteousness not guilt
[01:08:51] now put this up real quick i i want you to see this is the comparison between law-based prayer and grace-based prayer put if you put it on the screen i want you to to to notice some of the
[01:09:02] things when we when we look at this so if you'll notice law-based prayer begs God stop by here

[01:09:11] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[01:09:11] Jesus stop by stop by Jesus if you just stop by just a little bit Lord we buy please Jesus please

[01:09:17] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_01]
[01:09:17] please Jesus law-based prayer begs grace-based prayer it it thanks God it thanks God I know they got think but they were probably russian but it's it's thank they thank god you do have to think in
[01:09:39] grace-based prayer but you thank god number two law-based prayer strives you strive grace-based prayer rest you rest in the finished works of jesus i'm like what all the phones going oh you taking the picture so you okay i was thinking i got something on my mustache i want the duck hey
[01:10:19] wait a minute. I need a government in here. What's going on here? Number three, grace-based prayer performs, excuse me, law-based prayer performs, grace-based prayer receives. Number four, law-based prayer, you got this, it feels distant. Grace-based prayer feels united with
[01:10:51] Christ. Number five, law-based prayer is fear-driven. You know if you're on an airplane and that airplane getting ready, the engines went off, I don't care who on that plane, they're going to want to pray. Motivated by fear. Well, I'm fixing to pray. Pray, pray, amen.
[01:11:15] Grace-based prayer is faith-driven. Law-based prayer is sin-conscious prayer, whereas grace-based prayer is righteousness driven law-based prayer is conditional under grace is unconditional and then a law-based prayer is do lord please do but under grace it's done lord thank you lord
[01:11:51] it's done all right next week we'll crank up a new series did y'all did y'all stay on the bus y'all did good you did good you heard some stuff you're like you know i'm just gonna i can't say
[01:12:18] amen or oh me i'm just gonna sit here and learn amen let's stand to your feet thank you so much for spending time with us this morning and if there's ever a time for us to know how to pray
[01:12:31] it's right now and let's begin to release these prayers knowing who we are let's begin to release these prayers in a non-religious way there are lots of things that god wants to do he's just
[01:12:51] looking for somebody that he can depend on and start a radical mind shift and certainly if you've been coming here any length of time you you understand this radical mind shift i think i need to pause and do like at least a two part series on identity people gotta get that and
[01:13:14] then there's a language that goes with that identity i pray about that lift your hands up the final blessing father we thank you that your word is finished that your word is true we thank you that the angels of god have already been given the command to watch over us lest we
[01:13:32] dash our foot against the stone we thank you lord that we can shout grace grace to any mountain and that mountain is moved because of what you have finished we are thankful for jesus we are thank
[01:13:44] you thank you lord for his sacrifice thank you for his shed blood thank you for the finished works now Lord help us to abide in those finished works and everything we do Holy Spirit continue to transform us to understand our identity to understand
[01:14:02] who we are to understand our resemblance and likeness to you may blessings that you've already given to us manifest in the lives of these precious people restoration that you've already restored to us let it manifest in the lives of
[01:14:23] these precious people that generosity that we become a part of in our giving manifests in the lives of these precious people and now unto him who is able to keep us from falling and to present us faultless before the Almighty God be
[01:14:40] glory, majesty, dominion, and power, both now and forever. And everybody said, amen.

[01:14:51] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[01:14:51] All to call at the steps. Have a good. What if the things you've been calling wisdom

[01:14:59] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_03]
[01:14:59] were actually fear in disguise? What if the storm in your life was never ever about you or your mother or the generation that you came from? What if it was because the glory of

[01:15:12] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[01:15:12] God needed to be revealed? This is the moment where survival ends and healing

[01:15:18] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_00]
[01:15:18] begins. You might have had words that were spoken over your life, things where you weren't seen or heard or ignored or neglected and you feel unworthy, devalued.

[01:16:07] Hello, hello, hello, world changers. Happy Sunday, E-Church family. Man. Is your belly full? Because my belly is full. Okay, my belly, my spirit, my everything. Denise, so what did you get out of church today? Oh, what didn't I get? Okay. Just a question. Just, you know, sometimes you may be
[01:16:26] feeling like you don't have anybody to go to, or sometimes there may be seasons where it's like you are not released to share with others and you're like lord i just yeah use some pouring
[01:16:33] into but it's like i have the whole experience literally to pour into myself literally that's a good reminder reminds me of the donald lawrence song like uh sometimes you have to encourage yourself oh i sing that all the time how gracious and how loving of a god to give us that ability
[01:16:49] to do so man what you mean i'm gonna park right there too i think everything all the steps how to implement grace-based prayers in your every day because I think that's the one thing that we get
[01:17:03] caught up on like oh I can only do it one time but do it every single day but my one thing that I got out of it kind of mirrors off of you is the co-operating with the Holy Spirit and allowing him
[01:17:16] to show me things and reveal to me things that I don't even know what to pray about and also at the same time in tandem getting strengthened from the inside out the strengthening to even being revealed what i am not or what i i don't understand what i'm praying for in the
[01:17:34] supernatural in the spiritual just being revealed in the physical to be able to still strengthen and handle those things too and intercede for oh man and and and constantly in everyday living so today it just blessed me if you got something drop it in the chat we want to know we just I hope you're
[01:17:52] stirred up fooled up like we are but we're going to move into our next favorite part which is you should know by now but if you don't I'm going to share it I'm actually coming out of
[01:18:03] amplified and this is going to be second Corinthians 9 and verse 11 and it says you will be enriched in every way thinking about the holy spirit right now yeah yeah you will be rich
[01:18:14] in every way so that you may be generous and this generosity administered through us by producing thanksgiving to god so it's just an act of thanksgiving it's just an act of worship just like we worship on sundays you play the worship in your car your giving is an act of worship and
[01:18:28] right now we're going to allow you the opportunity to do that so how can they worship grace so there are four ways that you can worship and give back to god you can text world changers and leave a

[01:21:48] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_00]
[01:21:48] question what fear what lack what trauma have you learned to live with that God never intended for you to carry? What fear have we called wisdom? What trauma have we managed instead of healed?
[01:22:04] What lack have we normalized just to survive? Some of what we've called strength was really endurance. Some of what we've called faith was shaped under pressure. And some of what we've accepted as just life has quietly robbed us of peace, rest, and our unity. Scripture tells us
[01:22:29] the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but often he doesn't do it loudly. He does it through isolation, exhaustion, keeping us, carrying everything alone. This gathering is called From the Ashes to the Awakening. It's not about hype or performance. It's a space
[01:22:48] to pause, reflect, and confront what we've been surviving so we can rise together.
[01:22:55] No pressure, no public response, just an invitation for those who feel the weight and are ready to lay it down.

[01:23:05] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_07]
[01:23:05] If this stirred something in you, don't delay it.
[01:23:09] Moments of clarity don't last forever, and neither do open seats.
[01:23:13] Register now for From Ashes to Awakening.
