❓ What do these grades mean?
We do not issue this rating to attack the speaker, but to protect the listener. This church's overall teaching trend consistently deviates from sound doctrine. As per Romans 16:17, we identify these patterns so believers can guard their hearts.
🧐 Overview
Sermon Summary: This sermon attempts to teach believers how to pray from a position of victory based on Christ's finished work. However, it dangerously redefines that work, claiming that Jesus guarantees not only spiritual salvation but also earthly financial prosperity. It further corrupts the doctrine of the atonement by teaching that Jesus' work was not completed on the cross but required a descent into hell, which is a significant and serious deviation from biblical truth.
Big Idea: Grace-based prayer is rooted in the finished work of Christ and involves praying from a position of identity, union with God, response to His faithfulness, and rest. [00:00:00 ▶️ 📄]
Pastoral Analysis: The sermon is fundamentally in error, propagating two distinct heresies under the guise of teaching on 'grace-based prayer.' First, it explicitly preaches the Prosperity Gospel, defining the 'finished work' of Christ to include guaranteed financial prosperity for believers. Second, it promotes a version of the 'Jesus Died Spiritually' (JDS) heresy, teaching that Christ's work was not finished on the cross but required Him to take on a 'disguise' of sin to enter hell and complete the atonement there. This denies the sufficiency of the cross and presents a false Christ. These errors constitute a different gospel.
Biblical Parallel(Archetype): Thyatira — The sermon actively promotes a seductive and false gospel, blending truth with the core heresies of the Prosperity Gospel and a false doctrine of the atonement, leading believers away from the sufficiency of Christ's work on the cross.
🧭 Biblical Alignment Dashboard
Overall Verdict: Fundamentally in Error
| Category | Status | Reasoning |
|---|---|---|
| Soteriology | ❌ FAIL | The doctrine of salvation is corrupted by redefining the atonement to include guaranteed temporal wealth. Furthermore, the location and nature of the atoning work are moved from the cross to a mythical battle in hell, which constitutes a denial of the gospel. |
| Bibliology | ❌ FAIL | The sufficiency and finality of Scripture are undermined by claims of new, direct revelation ('The Lord instructed me...'). The Bible is not the final authority but is used pretextually to support a pre-existing theological system. |
| Hermeneutic | ❌ FAIL | The sermon employs a deeply flawed hermeneutic, twisting the meaning of 'blessing,' 'finished,' and 'righteousness' to fit a materialistic, Word of Faith framework. It reads foreign concepts into the text rather than drawing meaning from it. |
| Theology Proper | ❌ FAIL | The sermon presents a distorted view of God the Father as a transactional deity concerned with earthly finances, and a false view of God the Son, whose work on the cross was insufficient. This misrepresents the character and work of the Triune God. |

- Identity as a son of God [00:09:39 ▶️ 📄] : The pastor emphasizes that grace-based prayer is rooted in the identity of being a son of God, which means not trying to earn a response from God but praying from a place of already having received everything.
✅ Commendations
Pastoral Encouragement | Emphasis on the Believer's New Identity
The sermon correctly encourages believers to understand that their identity is no longer in their old self but is now found in Christ. The emphasis on living from this new identity ('I am the righteousness of God') is a positive and biblical starting point, even if the foundation it's built upon here is flawed.
⚠️ Theological Concerns
🔴 The 'Jesus Died Spiritually' (JDS) Heresy
Root Cause: JDS Heresy: This is a core doctrine within some Word of Faith movements. It falsely teaches that Jesus did not complete the atonement on the cross but had to suffer in hell, die spiritually, and be 'born again' to defeat Satan. This is a profound christological error that denies the sufficiency of Christ's substitutionary death.
"that's the only way he could get into hell without the disguise his admittance would be provoked revoked he looked like a sinner with he looked like a sinner with our disguise so that he can get into hell..." [00:50:08 ▶️ 📄]
Correction: The Bible teaches that Jesus Christ's atoning work was fully and finally completed on the cross. His last words, 'It is finished,' signify that the entire debt of sin was paid at that moment. His death was the one, perfect sacrifice that satisfied God's justice completely. There was no further work to be done in hell; the victory was won on the cross (Colossians 2:14-15).
🔴 Prosperity Gospel
Root Cause: Prosperity Gospel / Word of Faith: This is a 20th-century heresy that teaches faith can be used as a force to create health and wealth. It redefines the atonement to include physical and financial blessings as a divine right for believers, which is a distortion of the true gospel.
"your righteousness is finished your redemption is finished your holiness is finished your completeness in him is finished your healing is finished your prosperity is finished" [00:14:05 ▶️ 📄]
Correction: The Bible teaches that the primary purpose of Christ's death was to save us from our sins, not to make us financially wealthy. The blessings of the atonement are foremost spiritual: forgiveness of sins, righteousness, and eternal life. Scripture warns against the love of money and teaches contentment, promising that God will provide for our needs, not necessarily our earthly wants (1 Timothy 6:6-10).
🟠 Subjective Revelation
Root Cause: Neo-Montanism: This error elevates personal, subjective spiritual experiences and claims of new revelation to a level of authority that competes with or replaces the authority of the Bible. It denies the sufficiency and finality of the biblical canon.
"...the lord uh instructed me to call people up whose heartbeat was was the percentage level was real low..." [00:12:45 ▶️ 📄]
Correction: The Bible teaches that Scripture is God-breathed and complete, fully equipping the believer for every good work (2 Timothy 3:16-17). The canon of Scripture is closed, meaning that while the Holy Spirit illuminates the text for us, He does not give new, binding revelation that adds to or supersedes the Bible. Our faith and practice must be based on the written Word of God alone.

[00:00:00] Amen well it's opportunity for wholeness opportunity for prosperity if you need an offering envelope if you'll lift your hands up to us just be more than happy to put one in your hands and I want to talk to you from a scripture this morning that we're all familiar with John chapter 3 verse 16 for God so loved the world now check out his response check out
[00:00:36] loved the world that he gave his only begotten son the reflex of his love was seen in his giving and he gave the most precious thing that heaven had to offer his son that whosoever would believe
[00:01:01] in him should not perish but have everlasting life and I'm saying if God's response to me was in the way that he gave something valuable to me gave me a son then my love to him although
[00:01:25] I'll never ever be able to pay him back or get to that level but my love to him is through my giving my giving of myself my giving of what he's given to me you know when when it comes to
[00:01:42] giving financially people think it's theirs you know all things come of thee oh lord and the scripture says and of of thine own have we given thee so what we're giving is god's he just wants
[00:02:00] to see how we steward it and how we manage it and how we prioritize it that's why giving out of pressure giving out of fear that's just why it's not recommended in this new covenant of grace this
[00:02:14] new plan this new plan God wants you to give because you want to he wants you to give out of love he wants you to give out of devotion he does not want you to give out of pressure
[00:02:24] out of obligation and out of duty he wants from you something that's that comes from your heart a reflex that comes from your heart organically given to God to say I just can't help but to
[00:02:40] figure out somehow that I can show you how much I I love you and we worship God when we leave here we come here to get built up to grow and give me some water I had a pinch of a brownie before I
[00:03:06] came out here help me Jesus ain't nothing wrong is it one of them little walnuts or something anyway you know what I'm trying to say right so let's take time and pray over our reflex this
[00:03:33] morning financially father we thank you for this opportunity to give this opportunity to sow into the kingdom to sow into the lives of people to continue to spread grace mercy and love around this globe and we declare that we will lack nothing in doing so thank you for receiving our
[00:03:54] gift our response to what you have done and are doing in jesus name we pray and everybody said amen well she should go ahead and receive the offering and get a little shot you can just take
[00:04:15] this back all righty i hope you got your pens and pads and everything ready to go uh if you came in here with any religion we're going to drive it out um father we thank you for this another
[00:04:45] opportunity to minister to these your precious sheep thank you lord that revelation knowledge will flow freely uninterrupted and unhindered by any satanic or demonic force father i pray that you will speak through my vocal cords and think through my mind none of me and all of you it's in
[00:05:06] jesus name we pray and everybody said amen would you just give the lord a big hand clap of praise because he's worthy of it right if you have your bibles go with me to the book of ephesians chapter
[00:05:25] one and verse three i want to read it out of the king james in the mirror we've been talking about grace-based prayer and we're learning how to pray we're asking you to put aside some of the
[00:05:39] traditional things you've heard about prayer and if we if you'll listen to how to pray grace-based prayers you're going to find that a lot of things that you're not having to do to try to twist God's arm to do something for you Ephesians chapter 1 verse 3 and today we're
[00:06:00] going to talk about the marks of grace-based prayer. In other words, what grace-based prayer looks like when you're on an everyday basis. So Ephesians chapter one, verse three says, blessed be the God and father of our Lord Jesus Christ, our father who hath already past tense
[00:06:20] blessed us. So for you to do anything religiously to try to get God to bless you, you are in violation of the new covenant already done done it the fact that he said God hath blessed us say out loud I am blessed God has blessed us with all spiritual blessings
[00:06:48] in heavenly places in Christ and because you're in Christ you are blessed because of Jesus you're not blessed for anything that you do or have done you are blessed because of Jesus now look at this
[00:07:05] in the mirror translation Ephesians 1 and 3 in the mirror he says let's celebrate God see when something's already done let's go ahead and celebrate let's celebrate God it's not oh we can't celebrate because you know we're not there yet no we're we're blessed because of what Jesus
[00:07:25] has done not because of what we have done so he starts off let's celebrate God he lavished every blessing heaven has upon us in Christ he has already lavished every blessing that heaven has bankrupt heaven and put the blessing upon you so he says let's celebrate because you're
[00:07:53] blessed. Look at this. Well, I don't feel blessed. You're not blessed because of how you feel.
[00:08:00] You're blessed because of what he did. Your feelings will catch up with it once you realize that you're blessed. Now, when most people say you're blessed, they think about the house, the cars and stuff like that. The blessing is not, you know, just the material stuff that comes in
[00:08:17] your life. The blessing is an empowerment to have success in every arena of your life.
[00:08:24] that's what it means to be blessed you if you think you're blessed just because you got a lot of money but you're dying of cancer that ain't blessed you just you're just a a a a a a man
[00:08:34] that's got a lot of money but you're dying of cancer that's not that's not a blessing he says you are blessed already with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places now last week we we begin to talk about grace-based prayer and grace-based prayer is praying from what Christ
[00:08:55] has already finished a little review here let me take about five minutes to review last week grace-based prayer is praying from what Christ has already finished not praying to get God to do something but praying from the position of what has already been done now last week I gave you
[00:09:17] four roots of grace-based prayer. Now, in other words, grace-based prayer is rooted in these four things. Number one, grace-based prayer is rooted in your identity, not your insecurity. Grace-based prayer is rooted in your identity, the fact that you are a son,
[00:09:39] the fact that you are righteous, the fact that you have union with him, the fact that you are born of God the fact that you are all of the finished works of Jesus equal your identity and that's that's your identity so grace-based prayer is rooted in
[00:10:00] your identity you pray as a son you're a sons of God join as with Christ Jesus so when you pray you pray as a son of God not as a servant see if you pray as a servant then you're trying to
[00:10:14] earn a response from God. You're not praying to try to earn a response from God.
[00:10:21] That's a servant. Servants are praying trying to earn a response from God. But a son is praying out of his identity. This is who I am. I'm a son of God. I don't have to earn something. I already
[00:10:35] have it. A son is praying based on what is finished. A son is not praying trying to get God to finish something or trying to get God to do something a son is praying based on what is
[00:10:48] finished the second route is grace-based prayer is rooted in your union with God not talking to him like he's in the far distance somewhere in another solar system grace-based prayer doesn't beg heaven to come down Lord if you can stop by just a little while that's an indication that's
[00:11:12] that's not a grace-based prayer. You're praying to God like he's not in you. God is in you.
[00:11:21] The scripture is clear about that. In 1 Corinthians chapter 1, he is in you.
[00:11:26] Grace-based prayer, it acknowledges Christ already lives in you. Christ lives in you.
[00:11:33] Christ lives in you. That's something as Christians, you can't forget that Christ lives in me. I don't have to scream loud. I don't have to beg him. I don't ask him to come down.
[00:11:45] I don't have to ask him to stop by.
[00:11:48] Why?
[00:11:48] He is in you.
[00:11:49] Even before you start praying, he already know what you're going to pray before you ask because he's in you.
[00:11:59] Here's the third root.
[00:12:01] Number three, grace-based prayer is rooted in the response that you give to his faithfulness.
[00:12:10] The response that you give to the fact that he is faithful to have finished everything he said he finished.
[00:12:16] not a performance to to to earn his attention grace-based prayer is not trying to twist God's arm grace-based prayer flows from confidence that he's already given us everything in Christ he has already gifted us with everything that pertains to life and godliness
[00:12:45] we already have everything that pertains to life and godliness i was in katie texas this past uh what was it friday and and uh the lord uh instructed me to call people up whose heartbeat was was the percentage level was real low and before i put all on anybody or laid hands
[00:13:07] on anybody or pushed anybody i ain't got time to do all that stuff i i said listen to me you're already healed and they just kind of listen yeah yeah yeah i know you know as he was trying to say
[00:13:19] no i said you don't understand you're already healed now what you've got to do is recognize i am not starting from sickness to try to get god to heal me since i'm already healed my starting
[00:13:33] line is the finish line my starting line starts where god where jesus finished where jesus said it is finished that's why I start he says you're righteous that's why I start he says you're victorious I don't start from defeat trying to get victory I start at the finish I start at victory
[00:13:54] and I go from victory to victory I don't go from defeat to victory and there are lots of Christians who are still going from defeat to victory now I believe I'm already victorious and I start from
[00:14:05] the finish line your starting line church is the finish line of what Jesus said it is finished your righteousness is finished your redemption is finished your holiness is finished your completeness in him is finished your healing is finished your prosperity is finished I'm not
[00:14:22] starting from the bottom trying to get to the top I'm starting at the top and then number four we talked about how here's the last root grace is rooted in rest not in striving sweating
[00:14:42] beating the pavement grinding no no no no no no it's it's it's in rest the foundation of grace based prayer is resting in the finished works it is not trying to finish what Jesus has already
[00:15:00] completed the foundation for for grace-based prayer is I'm resting in what's finished I am talking to God based on what he has done so for me to go to God and ask him to do
[00:15:18] what he's already done is no different than me saying to you sit down and you're already seated and then I get emotional I said sit down holly luba shit and you sit now what it was mad was mad with him so imagine what happens
[00:15:36] doing to you when you going to them every day screaming and hollering and jerking and all on the flow spitting on the hardwood and everything because you think that's spiritual but grace-based prayer is based in rest not striving so you're sweating and striving to
[00:15:53] try to twist God's arm to do something because you're desperate see you don't need to try harder you just need to believe deeper okay so this morning what we're going to talk about are the
[00:16:11] marks of grace-based prayer what grace-based prayer what grace-based prayer looks like let's get into this real quickly number one here's what it looks like and i already said it but you pray i can't say this enough i can't about your identity everything is going to be based on your
[00:16:28] identity in christ please understand that you're you're the stuff you used to do when that stuff comes up in your life tempting you talking to you you just need to respond that's not me anymore that's not me anymore you keep worrying about well what about my behavior every time I
[00:16:46] teach this somebody somebody well what about sin well what about sin you're so sin conscious you can't hear what God is trying to tell you your identity leads your behavior who you are in Christ
[00:16:58] leads your behavior what does that mean if you will hold on to your identity who you are in Christ your behavior will follow your identity but we've been allowing our behavior to lead identity that's just like the buggy pulling the horse instead of the horse pulling the buggy and no
[00:17:23] no matter what when you preach this and somebody's used to the buggy pulling the horse they just don't get it well what about my what about my behavior and you spend all your life managing
[00:17:33] behavior you spend all the time trying to modify behavior and he's giving you the answer here accept and receive your identity and your identity will lead behavior glory to God your identity you're just not going to want to behave like you used to behave because you've been spending so
[00:17:54] much time discovering who you really are and as you discover on a day-to-day basis I'm the righteousness of God I'm a son of God I am born of God I am I am complete in God you you you this
[00:18:09] is what you you wake up in your identity every day you you wake up not trying to become something that day you wake up uh living from who you already have been made by God but that's the key
[00:18:24] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[00:18:24] and and church folks won't realize that because we're stuck on sin consciousness and everybody
[00:18:29] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_09]
[00:18:29] always trying to tell you how to strive to get what God already gave you your identity leads your behavior say that with me twice my identity leads my behavior say it again my identity leads
[00:18:45] my behavior so stupid stuff come from the past the shame tries to come back up again the reminder of what you did two three four five years ago when that happens don't sit quiet open your mouth and
[00:18:57] say that's not me no more I'm a son of God I'm complete in Christ Jesus I'm the righteousness of God all of a sudden that thought is running like oh my god they know who they are see Satan
[00:19:08] ain't gonna be messing with somebody who knows who they are but if you don't know who you are the first place of attack is going to be your identity and he's going to use your bad behavior
[00:19:17] to try to convince you that's who you are amen so you pray from victory not for victory praying for victory is striving because you don't believe Jesus was enough to provide victory for you he's made victory available to you but so many people still begging God me victory so you don't
[00:19:49] pray for victory you're praying from victory instead of Lord give me peace you pray thank you that your peace is already mine in Christ let me give an example look at John chapter 14 verse 27
[00:20:05] this is if I'm at if you pray Lord thank you for peace that means somewhere in scripture he's already said I gave you peace already all right so look what he said in verse 27 peace I leave
[00:20:17] with you my God he peace I leave with you my peace I give unto you already given it not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid, because I've
[00:20:32] already given you peace. So don't pray, God, give me peace. Hey, grace-based, I've received peace, and I am praying from peace. Father, thank you for the peace that you left me. You follow what I'm saying here? All right, so that's one mark of a grace-based prayer. You pray
[00:21:02] from victory not for victory you pray from the finished work not try to get God to finish the work or you take on the thing to try to finish the work now what I'm preaching I can show you
[00:21:15] scriptures I can talk to you now what you got to fight is the religious mindset that you've had all these years your religious mindset about prayer well the bible what's that what's that old testament prayer uh people say uh you know and turn from their wicked ways what's how to how
[00:21:36] to start see i'm so i'm so delivered from that i forgot what it was i refused to read yeah if my people if my people call by my name to humble themselves and pray but now watch this
[00:21:52] and turn from their wicked ways so now there's a qualification and seek my face there's another qualification then when you did that that's if then that's that's that's old testament if then if you do this then i'll do that that's that's that's that's under the law it's it's it's you
[00:22:11] got to do something to get god to do something that's dead works okay if you do that then i'm gonna hear from heaven only if you turn from your wicked ways and only if you seek my face
[00:22:25] then i'll hear from heaven and i'll heal your land a lot of things wrong with that in the new
[00:22:31] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[00:22:31] testament that we heal the land healed but they just don't know it it's the people in the land living in a hill land that don't want to know that that ain't here the land here you can go
[00:22:45] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_09]
[00:22:45] plant something it'll grow it's here but we keep trying to get god and pray to god to do what he's already done. If you can remind me to read something out of Hebrews chapter 10, and I'll
[00:23:05] read the whole thing if I have time. And God was like, dude, I have told you that I finished everything. I took everything on my body. I took all your sins on my body. You don't need to go
[00:23:16] offering sacrifice, no more lambs, no more animals. I am the final sacrifice. I'm the priest and I submitted my body because I'm the priest I could submit my body as the final sacrifice and I took all your sins on my body now if you continue if you continue to go and make animal
[00:23:36] sacrifices after you have come to the knowledge of the truth that I am your final sacrifice he says you are now sinning willfully because you're turning your back on what you now know
[00:23:50] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[00:23:50] I am the final sacrifice. And he says, if you keep doing that, there is, there is nothing left for me to do. You know, if you're willing, if you're willing, if you're, if, if, if, if you
[00:24:02] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_09]
[00:24:02] sin willfully, you heard it in Hebrew chapter 10, if you sin willfully after the, you have come to
[00:24:08] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[00:24:08] the knowledge of the truth. Okay. He says, then there remaineth, there remaineth nothing else for you you know what that means literally what he says is if you turn your back on what he has
[00:24:22] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_09]
[00:24:22] already done and spit on the sacrifice that he made then the only thing left for you is judgment and I thought well what kind of judgment from you he said no it's the judgment that's going to come
[00:24:37] from what you turn back to you turn from what he did back to the law I don't know about that great stuff and you turn back to the law. Now, hear what's going to happen here. Hear what's going
[00:24:50] to happen here. Since you turn back to the law and spit on the sacrifice, you're now going to be judged by the law that you turn back to. The law's going to judge you. Imagine what Jesus feels
[00:25:08] like. You mean to tell me I got beat up, had to carry that heavy cross, beat up, got nailed to that cross took all them sin all that sin and it was a lot i didn't even have none i took all that
[00:25:25] stuff for them as a gift so they don't have to deal with it then i went to the hell for them so they don't have to go and then i got up with all power in my hand and i gave them the executive
[00:25:39] authority to execute my power on the planet in my name and they're gonna turn their back on everything I did and say, no, we're going to go back to the law where we got to perform in order
[00:25:54] to get it done. He said, well, you know what? It's out of my hand now. Whatever you turn back to, that's what's going to judge you. And what the church is doing now is they're mixing a little
[00:26:06] law with a little grace. Well, I'm under grace. And then they talk about how they got to strive to get it. You're not under grace if you are denying what Jesus said, it is finished. What
[00:26:16] is all this stuff about he's on the cross and he said it is finished do you think it's like a poetry thing he just said that just to be saying it oh isn't that sweet jesus said it is finished
[00:26:26] and then on easter y'all give out a little piece of line on all the last words of jesus and the little boy that came up there he said it is finished and they said oh wonderful that ain't
[00:26:36] no easter speech that is the culmination of one of the greatest things to ever take place on the planet and you spit on it and turn back to the operation of performance-based religion and went around bragging about all the stuff you did and that's why this thing happened
[00:26:57] so it's not the devil that's judging you ain't gonna be god that's judging you it's your decision to continue in the sacrifices of the law when jesus said i have become the final sacrifice and i have gifted you with everything that pertains to life and godliness and all you
[00:27:24] got to do is believe it i encourage you read read uh hebrews chapter 10 the whole chapter in the message translation it'll break that thing down for you and you'll be like oh now i can see why
[00:27:39] jesus was turning tables and stuff like that like you know there's nothing else i can do there's nothing else i can do unbelief what is he gonna do when you don't believe
[00:27:50] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[00:27:50] what are you gonna do well i don't believe in that grace what are you gonna do because he said
[00:27:59] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_09]
[00:27:59] the only thing i want you to do is to believe in the one that i sent but we still got to figure out some religious way to sweat some religious way to pop to beat the pavement so we got to
[00:28:10] figure out a way to grind you got to do these three things in order for god to do something for you did you realize how insulting that is with with what jesus went through you got to do
[00:28:22] these five principles it's your principles we love stating principles because it's easier to get to know principle than it is to get to know a person and jesus wants you to know him the person
[00:28:35] all righty i see everybody's looking like what the heck that ain't what my grandmama told me mine didn't tell me that either you got to pray harder my aunt jimmy was a church of god in christ
[00:28:56] pentecostal uh preacher and ain't jimmy they would they would you have to tarry for the holy ghost and if you didn't tarry for the holy god they say sit you down there and then they say speak come on tarry and they'd be hitting tambourines and stuff like that for
[00:29:16] you tear and you'd be down there just and then they say purge him lord purge him and they ain't gonna let you go until you do something so you better you better remember that old nursery rhyme you better you better la la la yourself in the spirit or you ain't going
[00:29:37] nowhere because you had to strive to get the holy ghost finish nothing you ain't finished here all right so number two here's the second here's the second mark of grace-based prayer number two You pray with boldness, not shame. You're not praying with shame. Shame causes you to go into
[00:30:11] hiding. You pray with boldness or confidence. Grace removes the sense of unworthiness, right?
[00:30:20] And so in Hebrews chapter four, uh, let's look at Hebrews 4, 16 in the King James and, uh, in the mirror, Hebrews 4, 16 in the King James mirror, you pray with boldness. You pray with confidence.
[00:30:32] you pray like you know you got a right to pray you pray like a little kid walking in her father's office while he's got the most important person in the world in the office and get in the refrigerator
[00:30:42] and get some juice and say hey daddy because they got the confidence and the boldness to do that he said let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace like you know you got a right to
[00:30:54] that we might obtain mercy and find grace to help in a time of need now look at this in the mirror verse 16 for this reason we can approach the authoritative throne of grace with bold utterance
[00:31:08] how bold is it to approach God's how bold is it to approach God's throne and say I'm righteous what is it to approach God after you have fallen in your behavior and say I'm the righteousness of
[00:31:23] God not because of what I just did it was dumb it was stupid but I still am righteous because you made me righteous whoo and then your behavior that was bad starts following your boldness and
[00:31:40] your righteousness and all of a sudden that that doesn't happen because it's like i'm i'm over that he says we are welcome there in his embrace and we are reinforced with the median effect in times of trouble if you start going to god like you know you got a right to
[00:32:01] okay boldness is not arrogance that's not what we're saying it's the confidence of knowing that my boldness is absolutely faith in Christ's finished work I am bold because I have faith that it's done I am coming with confidence because I have faith I am righteous not I'm
[00:32:25] going to become righteous I'm bold because I have the confidence that that I am holy not that I'm going to become holy. I enter into his presence with my I am-ness. Oh, good Lord.
[00:32:42] I'm coming in with my I am-ness. I am a son of God. I am born of God. I am complete in him. I am righteous, and I come in my identity with confidence and boldness. I got a right to do
[00:33:02] this to cause of who I am I remember my spiritual dad was speaking at church he came and stayed with Tappan after two days and and Lauren was a little girl at that time but Lauren lived there and we
[00:33:21] said we got it we had a guest up in the room you know giving peace and Lauren climbed up them steps and he was shaving and he she peeped around the corner said hey brother Copeland said hey how you
[00:33:38] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[00:33:38] doing fine who are you somebody said well she need a woman for that no that's her house she
[00:33:56] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_09]
[00:33:56] walked up them steps into that room even though somebody was there with the boldness to know that's my house who are you and she fell in love with him because every time she he he saw he put
[00:34:13] some money in her hand she i like him i'm asking you to go to god just like that quit going to god like you're some servant and God's got to decide whether or not you're worthy start going to God
[00:34:27] knowing who you are in him he abides in you you abide in him you have a right here's the third mark of a grace-based grace-based prayer number three you agree with what God has said
[00:34:51] not with what you feel you agree with what God has said not with what you feel I heard somebody to say, oh, I really feel like my prayer reached God today. You don't have to feel like that. It's
[00:35:08] going, it's, the word says when you pray like this, it happens. Grace-based prayer echoes God's
[00:35:17] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[00:35:17] truth. It doesn't, it's not, not human struggle. You don't go to God and spend all your time praying about your, you know, now Lord, uh, don't move the mountain, but give me some strength to
[00:35:30] climb. Lord said, you ain't got to deal with the mountains. Go this way. Why are you always trying
[00:35:39] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_09]
[00:35:39] to go up a mountain? Go this way. Already prepared the path. Look at Romans chapter three, verse four in the King James Bible, Romans three and four. You got to speak from, from the spirit's reality,
[00:36:02] not, not your soul's instability. You, you, let me see it this way. Grace-based prayer is saying to god what god has already said in his word about what he's finished find out what he said
[00:36:23] and say it back to him he said you're righteous that's that's what i'll be talking to him about verse four says god forbid yay let god be true so that's what i'm looking at let god be true
[00:36:40] let god be true true and every man a liar as it is written that thou mightest be justified in the in that saying and what you say you're justified because you're saying what God has said that's
[00:36:53] God what God has said let that be true and mightest overcome when thou art judged number four another mark of a grace-based prayer you pray thanksgiving rather than anxiety y'all know what I'm talking about that anxiety prayer oh lord Jesus
[00:37:20] that's when you're going to thanksgiving grace turns request into gratitude because you know that he is faithful and that he has done and finished everything he said he did so grace is turning those requests into gratitude i don't even have to go and make no requests i just start
[00:38:00] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[00:38:00] thanking him i mean what are you gonna do ask god to make you righteous when he has
[00:38:05] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_09]
[00:38:05] ask God to meet your need when he has ask God to to redeem you when he has so he's turned the request into gratitude and you spend like 99% of your prayer in thanksgiving in gratitude
[00:38:26] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[00:38:26] why because you believe he's faithful you believe that you're righteous because he says you're righteous because he's true I believe that thank you Lord that I'm the righteousness of God thank
[00:38:39] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_09]
[00:38:39] you, Lord, that I'm redeemed. Well, Brother Dolph, I pray that prayer won't last long. Thank you, Jesus, that that prayer's not going to last all day. Listen, when you're in trouble, you don't need to go and pull out of your bag the longest prayer that you know. You better look at Philippians
[00:39:04] 4, verses 6, very familiar scripture, King James, Philippians 4 and verse 6. He says, be careful for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God well see they said let your requests be made known unto God you
[00:39:29] already know what God has said right okay and now there there are certain things you know like certain requests that I make like father help me to depend on you more and then I turn right back
[00:39:43] around and say thank you lord for your very present help that you've already given me i may go to god and say lord help me to love uh what's not lovely and and and and help me to
[00:39:56] maintain an attitude of gratitude and i go right back and father i thank you that i i have those things but i'm talking about the finished works that i am aware of i know i'm i'm i'm i'm starting
[00:40:09] not thanking you now with my intimacy or I might go before God and and with a lot of things if you have a personal relationship with God and your emotions are out of whack and you go to God and
[00:40:23] say you know Lord I didn't show the best version of myself yesterday in that situation and I just thank you for your help watch this serve your requests and your thanksgiving knows what he said
[00:40:38] with thanksgiving so father i thank you that i'll have the wisdom i have the wisdom to make sure that i displayed the best version of myself and father i just give you praise that maybe i mismanaged this situation but i thank you that the holy spirit is there to walk me through
[00:41:03] this situation you see how i'm mixing prayer and thanksgiving and requests the same way but i'm not going like father i ask you in the name of jesus you give me some wisdom now i already
[00:41:17] got the wisdom i already got the wisdom help me lord and i believe and i received that i still have the confidence to go before god with that so you speak from the spirit's reality not your
[00:41:33] soul's instability i used to hear prayers and they spent all day praying about their problem now father you know in your name your name lord not my name not they name your name it just it's
[00:41:52] performance it's evidence you don't know him you don't even know how to talk to him number five you know what thanksgiving is like the sound of rest before i go to number five thanksgiving is the sound of rest in other words rest sounds like thanksgiving when you say you're
[00:42:23] resting in something it sounds like thanksgiving when you're really resting in the finished works of jesus it sounds like thanksgiving and as you thank god and you spend time in thanks god thanksgiving and prayer you you're you're indicating i'm at rest father i just thank
[00:42:40] you so much that i'm the righteousness of god i'm at rest father i thank you that i'm redeemed i'm at rest where that's concerned father i thank you that in the name of jesus i am holy
[00:42:51] that i am one with you lord that's this thanksgiving is the sound of rest you want to evaluate whether or not you're really at rest that you're resting in the finished works of jesus start taking note of your thanksgiving over the finished works of jesus it's an indication there's
[00:43:13] something about uh rest that merits celebration when something's finished listen the superbowl finished you want a super bowl celebrate time you believe your righteousness is finished a celebration time involving the thanksgiving it's the sound of rest but you can tell people that
[00:43:35] are not at rest just listen to them listen to yourself are you at rest are you in alignment with the finished works thanksgiving is the sound of rest and that's a part of this grace-based prayer. Number five. Here's the fifth and final mark of this. You pray with the
[00:44:03] consciousness of righteousness, not sin consciousness. Imagine you start praying sin conscious. That's all you got. You got sin conscious. You don't believe in all that God has finished for you. Grace-based prayer stands on the solid ground of justification
[00:44:28] justification just as if you've never sinned that's how this prayer stands i don't pray sin conscious and all you talk about is sin you're so conscious of sin you cannot pray righteous conscious or son s-o-n conscience look at second corinthians chapter 5 21 in the king
[00:44:51] james and then the mirror second corinthians 5 verse 21 in the king james and in the mirror you'll start getting some big time results look at this for he hath made him to be sin for us
[00:45:13] who knew no sin that we might be made the righteousness of God in him now that's the most powerful thing that ever happened to us and it's been in the bible the whole time and church
[00:45:29] folks act like it's not in there now let me show you show what he's saying let's let's just break it down a little bit i need you to see this in the mirror translation let's look at this this is a key
[00:45:38] to a successful grace-based brand this is huge because we're going to talk about tongues and we're going to show you that tongues is really continuing to build you up where your identity is concerned and it's continue to build you up where you're um with the finished works of jesus
[00:45:55] and your alignment in the finished works of jesus building yourself up in your most holy faith Performance base kept us thinking that praying in tongues is what you got to do to get things quicker
[00:46:07] It's still trying to get something You already got it praying in tongues is what's keeping you in line with what's already finished I'll show you that in a minute Look at this. This is the divine exchange
[00:46:22] This is the most important thing In in an understanding of being a christian. This is the divine exchange something happened he who knew no sin who's he talking about here who's he talking about here he who knew no sin
[00:46:39] embraced our perversion he didn't have any sin embraced our perversion he appeared
[00:46:58] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[00:46:58] to be without form this was the mystery of God's prophetic poetry he was disguised in our distorted image did y'all hear what he just said Jesus took our sin to disguise his perfection oh lord have mercy he took the sins of the whole world upon his body
[00:47:40] and you're still going around sin conscious like he didn't do nothing he took the sins
[00:47:48] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_09]
[00:47:48] of the whole world he was disguised in our distorted image and marred with our iniquities
[00:47:55] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[00:47:55] he took our sorrows he took our pain and he took our shame and he took all mess so he could give
[00:48:20] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_09]
[00:48:20] birth to his righteousness in us effort and your striving to get this done please tell me the suppose those to get this done owe me the sweat you use that fell off your brow to get this done
[00:48:50] he took our sins and we became his innocence lord have mercy now that ain't somebody you can love you ain't never gonna meet him he took oh let go help me lord give me we have defined sin so much as what you do instead of who you are sin was the man the nature
[00:49:38] it's the nature that you had when you were born you were born with a sin nature you were born with the sin man but then Jesus came and put to death that sin nature that sin man he put it to
[00:49:57] death took it from you used it as a disguise somebody says well why would he disguise himself
[00:50:08] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[00:50:08] in our sin that's the only way he could get into hell without the disguise his admittance would
[00:50:19] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_09]
[00:50:19] be provoked revoked he looked like a sinner with he looked like a sinner with our disguise
[00:50:32] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[00:50:32] so that he can get into hell righteousness and as a disguise so you can get into heaven
[00:50:45] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_09]
[00:50:45] ah glory to god never sinned but he wore a disguise you weren't righteous but you wore a disguise
[00:51:05] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[00:51:05] but if you'll go ahead and receive what he birthed in you the disguise will slowly become the reality and what used to just look like righteousness has become righteousness how great thou art
[00:51:39] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_09]
[00:51:39] you sitting up here worrying about whether jesus was white or black or hispanic or japanese i don't care none about that. I don't know. However you see him, you see him that way. All I know is his
[00:51:56] blood got the job done. Time for that tomfoolery. He put a disguise on, spent three days and three nights with a disguise on. Yeah, listen to me. Then on the third day, he slipped the disguise
[00:52:31] off a little bit and say hey you know who i am now i'm here to set the captives free he took hell in one hand threw it away took death and destruction and threw it away and he says i've
[00:52:51] come to set my people free glory to god and on that third day not only did jesus get up but i heard that there were some folks that got up after jesus and i tell you what you died with him you
[00:53:05] were buried with him and then you were resurrected with him from that point on everything he is you are is you are oh my god oh my goodness and he gave birth to his righteousness in us so we don't
[00:53:36] have to wear a disguise and it's and it's peeling off you and as he is so are we in this world thank you the righteousness of god pray like you've been redeemed glory to god pray like you've been born
[00:54:04] of god pray like you're a son of god feet in him and and he and he took our he took our sins
[00:54:22] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_03]
[00:54:22] and we became not not your striving not nothing you brag about not your fasting we
[00:54:40] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_09]
[00:54:40] became. With all of your behavioral infections, we became. With all your mess-ups, we became.
[00:54:54] I'm not justifying your mess-ups. I'm not justifying all that stuff. I'm saying with all of that, while we were yet sinners, we became. So what happens if we believe we became? Your behavior is going to become
[00:55:18] what you became.
[00:55:21] And it'll line up.
[00:55:25] But you got to quit thinking you know more than God.
[00:55:29] Well, I got to fix my behavior first.
[00:55:33] I just don't feel right coming to church knowing how I messed up yesterday.
[00:55:40] Now, that's where the real test going to come.
[00:55:41] That's going to test your belief.
[00:55:43] That's going to test what you really...
[00:55:44] It's easy to believe why you're in church.
[00:55:47] Standing up, hollering and screaming and running, that's easy.
[00:55:52] And then you go home because you're on a journey and you allow yourself to get into something that you know better.
[00:56:05] And that's where the test going to come. Somebody says, well, how can I tell if I'm growing?
[00:56:12] Let's see how quick you get back to your righteousness versus before it.
[00:56:22] It puts you in shame so bad that, well, I need a break from church right now, because now with your efforts you're going to try and get your stuff together but when you really believe this you know your behavior did something stupid that one day you say that it's not me no
[00:56:41] more I'm the righteousness of God how quick can you get there how quick can you get back there that's gonna that's gonna be a demonstration of your growth how quick can you get back there
[00:56:51] renewing the mind and I'm gonna do a series on this so you can teach it but it's on my heart to say it right renewing the mind is not is not growing up to that place well i'm going to renew
[00:57:05] my mind so i can grow to that place renewing the mind is putting on what's finished i put on what's finished i ain't got to work my way back to righteousness i'm righteous i put on what finished
[00:57:25] and through the mercy of god i renew my mind by putting on the finish so i can prove through my body what is the good and perfect will of god i put it on quickly how
[00:57:39] quick can you get back there how long you gonna stay away from your true identity just because your behavior is fighting the transformation your behavior is saying i ain't doing that and you keep reminding it that ain't us no more and so what happens if you get there quickly and
[00:58:06] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[00:58:06] you stay there quickly you know what's going to happen you the the stuff that used to be in your behavior it you lose the taste for it I used to love Krispy Kreme donuts I eat I
[00:58:22] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_09]
[00:58:22] I eat almost a dozen and a half if the hot sign on I'm I'm it was gluttony all day long I enjoyed it and then I I stayed away from it and then Minister Ken and I we were we were up in New York shooting a commercial for our old TV folks
[00:58:48] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[00:58:48] And if we was in the back of the car and we went by fast and I said, I think I just saw the hot side So get the drivers in a driver. Oh hit the brakes back up. I said don't go to our side
[00:59:06] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_09]
[00:59:06] there's an old friend of the flesh that's right there with the hot sign on i know what i decided to do but you know i kept hearing that mcdonald's uh jingle you deserve a break today
[00:59:23] backed up i think we got a couple of dozen dozen for him a dozen for me because i ain't sharing
[00:59:38] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_03]
[00:59:38] never tasted the oil and stuff that i tasted i never tasted that before because i was used it was covered up and i lost the want to i don't want it no more because it didn't taste
[01:00:16] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_09]
[01:00:16] like it used to taste that's what's going to happen to your sinful behavior if you just stay with that identity what used to taste good it ain't gonna taste like that no more and you ain't
[01:00:36] gonna want it no more and you'll say like i said and like i've been saying i'm the righteousness of god that's where it starts but there's so many people who are convinced well i don't believe that
[01:00:55] okay we can't do nothing you're grown you're grown you can you can believe however you want to believe that is that is a huge deliverance in my in my life i used to get highly upset and and just
[01:01:05] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_07]
[01:01:05] and talk to them people i'm tired i feel like i realize people gonna do what people want to do and people grown and they get to make whatever decision they want to make they can they can make
[01:01:18] a decision to go to hell whatever they want to think why am i wanting it more than they want it
[01:01:23] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[01:01:23] The most powerful thing I discovered in my agenda is to give people some let alone.
[01:01:33] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_09]
[01:01:33] Y'all feel that? Let alone.
[01:01:38] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[01:01:38] Because sometimes you interfere in the progression and transformation that the Holy Spirit is trying to do.
[01:01:45] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_09]
[01:01:45] You keep jumping in because you have a Savior complex.
[01:01:48] And you think you need to rescue everybody.
[01:01:59] You look at somebody.
[01:02:02] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_03]
[01:02:02] You got a Savior complex.
[01:02:05] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_09]
[01:02:05] You feel like you need to jump in every time somebody's going through something.
[01:02:08] but people need to go through something because you can't grow if you don't go through nothing and that's why you got to pray before you jump in give them some let alone when your children
[01:02:28] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[01:02:28] become adults give them adult children that know everything some let alone no i told you one time
[01:02:36] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_09]
[01:02:36] not to do it but you were hell bent on doing it so i don't hey you know i what i can do for you is most powerful thing in the world i can pray a grace-based prayer for you because that's what
[01:02:48] I'm gonna do because my peace is my most valuable asset and I got boundaries up and my boundaries will not allow your drama to pass And I love you
[01:02:59] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[01:02:59] But you don't never learn on if I keep jumping in
[01:03:03] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_09]
[01:03:03] And all your solution is involved in money. Give me some money. Give me some money
[01:03:08] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[01:03:08] No, no, no, no, no, no We tell our kids listen we can hold them We getting older and we trying to make sure we got enough money to live as long as we want to live
[01:03:17] so we ain't got no more money to be giving to you for your drama we put our money in some
[01:03:22] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_09]
[01:03:22] investments so we can pay what we gonna do sleep on your couch no we ain't doing that
[01:03:27] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[01:03:27] what you gonna give me some let alone ain't got nowhere to stay well where you been staying maybe it's a good time for you to get a revelation of camping some of y'all looking like
[01:04:05] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_09]
[01:04:05] you didn't do that but you are you need to talk to my girls
[01:04:11] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
