Nothing Left to Prove: Finding Freedom in Christ Alone

The sermon offers a compelling message of spiritual freedom and identity in Christ, using relatable illustrations and personal anecdotes. However, the homiletical execution relies heavily on moralistic self-help and behavioral modification, failing to anchor the call to obedience in the power of the Holy Spirit. This results in a compromised theological foundation that risks leading the congregation toward spiritual exhaustion rather than rest in grace.

🟠
Theological Status: COMPROMISED (Worldly/Sloppy) Biblical Parallel(Archetype): Pergamum
❓ What do these grades mean?
🔍 Biblical Discernment: The 7 Church Parallels
The Faithful Parallels Smyrna • Philadelphia
Teaching that parallels the churches that endure suffering with true spiritual riches (Rev 2:9) and keep the Word of Christ without denial despite having "little strength" (Rev 3:8).
The Cold Orthodox Parallel Ephesus
Teaching that upholds doctrinal precision yet parallels the loss of the "first love"—the vital, motivating power of the Gospel (Rev 2:4).
The Compromised Parallel Pergamum
Teaching that parallels churches tolerating the "doctrine of Balaam" through cultural accommodation (Rev 2:14), characterized by weak boundaries, sloppy theology, and worldly compromise.
The Corrupted & Dead Parallels Thyatira • Sardis • Laodicea
Teaching that parallels churches with active heresy, synergism, therapeutic deism, or dead orthodoxy (Rev 2:20, Rev 3:1, Rev 3:17). These represent systemic, fundamental errors that corrupt the Gospel.
Why strictly "Mark & Avoid"?
We do not issue this rating to attack the speaker, but to protect the listener. This ministry's overall teaching trend consistently deviates from sound doctrine. As per Romans 16:17, we identify these patterns so believers can guard their hearts.

🧐 Overview

Theological Verdict & Summary

Sermon Summary: A call to reject the exhausting cycle of people-pleasing and find true freedom in the finished work of Christ.

Pastoral Analysis: The sermon offers a compelling message of spiritual freedom and identity in Christ, using relatable illustrations and personal anecdotes. However, the homiletical execution relies heavily on moralistic self-help and behavioral modification, failing to anchor the call to obedience in the power of the Holy Spirit. This results in a compromised theological foundation that risks leading the congregation toward spiritual exhaustion rather than rest in grace.

Biblical Parallel (Archetype): Pergamum — The sermon exhibits homiletical compromise by substituting the Gospel of grace with moralistic self-help and behavioral modification. While the core Gospel message is not explicitly denied, the preaching relies on human effort and self-actualization rather than the finished work of Christ, resulting in a compromised theological foundation.

Big Idea: Believers must reject the fear-based habit of people-pleasing to obey God, trusting that their identity and worth are found in Christ alone, not in human approval. 00:00:10 ▶️ 📄

🧭 Biblical Alignment Dashboard

Overall Verdict: Compromised / Weak

CategoryStatusReasoning
Gospel Framework ❌ FAIL The Gospel framework is compromised. The sermon relies on moralistic self-help and behavioral modification rather than the finished work of Christ, failing to anchor the call to obedience in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Soteriology ⚠️ WEAK The sermon presents salvation and spiritual growth as dependent on human effort and behavioral modification rather than the monergistic work of the Holy Spirit.
Bibliology ✅ PASS Scripture is referenced, though the application is heavily moralistic.
Hermeneutic ⚠️ WEAK The hermeneutic leans towards moralistic application, extracting behavioral commands without sufficient theological grounding in grace.
Theology Proper ✅ PASS No explicit errors regarding the nature of God were detected.
Sacramentology ✅ PASS No sacramental errors detected.
Confessional Depth ❌ SHALLOW The sermon lacks depth in explaining the theological basis for the behavioral changes it prescribes.

⚙️ The Core Gospel Framework ⚠️ Incomplete / Compromised

What is the Gospel Framework? This section audits whether the sermon proclaims the essential foundation of the Gospel: Christ's substitutionary sacrifice, humanity's spiritual need, and salvation by sovereign grace alone.

How this is evaluated:
  • Essential Gospel Pillars: The framework is verified intact when the sermon substantively preaches Christ's atonement, declares human inability (articulated through either Total Depravity or the Law's condemnation), and guards salvation by grace alone against works-righteousness.
  • Historic Confessional Depth: Deeper theological distinctives (such as the Active Obedience of Christ) enrich theological depth when expounded, but their absence in a focused topical or expository message is not an error and does not compromise the Gospel Framework.

🏛️ Essential Gospel Pillars

❌ The Cross & Atonement (Penal Substitution): Not observed in the sermon.

❌ Human Inability & Need: Not observed (neither human inability nor divine judgment was contextually proclaimed).

❌ Sola Gratia (Salvation by Grace Alone): Compromised

Soteriological errors detected regarding salvation by grace alone.

📜 Historic Confessional Depth

⚪ Active Obedience of Christ: Not explicitly expounded in this sermon.

Assessed under Confessional Depth diagnostic (SHALLOW). Its absence does not compromise the Gospel Framework.

⚠️ Theological Concerns

🟠 Major Assumed Gospel (Thematic/Moralistic)

Root Cause: Moralistic Therapeutic Deism

The Belief/Behavior: The sermon presents this obedience as a result of human willpower and behavioral modification, rather than the supernatural enablement of the Holy Spirit.

Why It's Dangerous: This creates unanchored moralism, leading to spiritual exhaustion and despair when human effort inevitably fails.

Biblical Correction: Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast."

✅ Commendations

Pastoral Care | Relatable Illustrations

The use of personal anecdotes and relatable scenarios helps the congregation connect with the message of freedom from people-pleasing.

Theological Clarity | Identity in Christ

The sermon correctly identifies the core issue of people-pleasing as a failure to rest in one's identity in Christ.

[00:00:10] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_00]
[00:00:10] Beautiful people listen I've come out of my cold it is hot up in this house because we just preached a word that is life-changing and you're here make sure that you subscribe to this channel I'm telling you something there's a word for you there's a word that God delivered straight from my body telling you you ain't gotta prove nothing get your journal share with your friends I love you and I think this gonna this gonna shift you you gonna pivot love y'all I want you to say out loud I
[00:00:40] have nothing to prove. Come on, say it. I have nothing to prove. The enemy wants to distract me from the plan God has for my life. Satan's ultimate strategy, Satan's ultimate strategy is to lead me off course. But thankfully, God has a strategy to keep me on track.
[00:01:14] Did y'all get that?
[00:01:16] Now, y'all, y'all got to listen to me.
[00:01:18] Get your fans out, because I know how hot it is.
[00:01:19] Sometimes it's going to mess you up.
[00:01:21] The enemy don't want you to get this word.
[00:01:22] This word is going to set you free today, so do whatever you got to do.
[00:01:25] Don't let your heat get to you.
[00:01:27] You know when you start sweating, you start feeling that sweat running down your back, you can't even think.
[00:01:31] You're like, man, I can't even think.
[00:01:33] I need some air.
[00:01:34] You missed the word.
[00:01:35] So lay hands on yourself.
[00:01:36] Say, Lord, help me get this word.
[00:01:40] In Jesus' name.
[00:01:41] All right, so today we're in pivot.
[00:01:44] I'm so excited because pivot is one of my favorite words because pivot is something that we do with God's help. So a lot of times we're praying for movement, but we won't move, right? We're so used
[00:02:01] to Teddy. We're so used to the cycles. We're so used to handling people. You ever seen those people that, oh, you don't want to mess with me. Y'all ever seen those people and you think, man, I wish
[00:02:11] I had their nerve. You ever seen that person? They get front of the line. They get all their, look, they get all their food. You can turn the air off. We'll just be hot. That's the air. That's
[00:02:24] the devil. Ain't that like the devil? He will make his interruption because you need him to give us some air. We will sweat. So what the enemy does, a lot of times the enemy gets you distracted
[00:02:39] by things that you think you need, but say, I would rather be criticized for obeying God than celebrated for disobeying him. When something feels off, it's off. I'm not going to let people second guess me. I just, anybody ever tell you, Oh, you're just too sensitive. Anybody ever told
[00:03:02] y'all that? Oh, you're just too sensitive. You know, that's manipulation. Do y'all know that's manipulation. Oh, you're just too sensitive. Oh, you're just so, you are too much. Or they try to make you be like somebody else in the family, right? So say, I would rather be criticized
[00:03:23] for obeying God than celebrated for disobeying him. Now y'all know when we have some kind of action going on like this, I got to get loud. So y'all go on and plug your ears because I'm
[00:03:34] get loud. Y'all ready for this? I'm going to sound like a squawking turkey. We are called to serve people, not to please people. Husband, you can't fix that for me. My husband fixes everything for
[00:03:51] me. I'm the husband. Go fight my battle. Y'all, the other day online, somebody called me a snow bunny. I was like, oh, they love me. I showed it to Angel. I was like, look, baby, they called me
[00:04:07] a snow bunny in that suite. He said, who are they? Give me their profile page. I said, why? He said, girl, that is not good. So see, you can make things good or you can make them bad, right?
[00:04:22] So we are called to serve people, not please people. Say people pleasing is the habit of prioritizing what others say about me, owning what they say about me as truth. When God says something different. It's called distraction. You know what it does too? It gets us in the
[00:04:44] people pleasing. Anybody ever been in that place where you find yourself just tired? You're overwhelmed because you give, give, give, give, give, give, give all because you don't want them to be mad at you. Did you know they're going to be mad at you anyway? Did you know that they have
[00:05:02] already decided in their brain that they're mad at you and there's nothing that you can do to get them to believe any different the other day I had somebody else come in my dm and I don't read dms
[00:05:13] I don't know why I've been in that but I just felt like reading the dm and somebody came in there and they said I have tried so hard to hate you and Angelo I was like well you go girl get it off
[00:05:25] your chest get it off your chest she said I have tried so hard to hate y'all she said but I can't help it so I might as well join the joy wagon when you have Jesus on you you irritate devils
[00:05:41] did you hear me and so today i want to flip the pivot say flip it pk i want to start this by talking about people pleasing and how we get in that that that that you will go your whole life
[00:05:55] trying to people please and the enemy will send the same people in your life that look the same same spirit different faces you ever got married and divorced and they got married again it was
[00:06:06] they just like them. Never knew each other, but act just like them. And it's because whatever's in you is attracting something and it's not healed. And so you are putting up with things that you know you ain't supposed to put up with. Let me break down what people pleasing is because
[00:06:25] you can't pivot as long as you're people pleasing. So people pleasing is the habit of prioritizing other people's approval. Even your mama, even your daddy, even your ex. People-pleasing is a habit of prioritizing other people's approval, comfort, and opinions over your own needs,
[00:06:49] convictions, well-being. All it is, is at its core, is people-pleasing isn't kindness.
[00:07:02] so stop acting like you so humble you're fearful because people pleasing comes from a place of fear fear of rejection fear of conflict fear of disappointing others in fact let's just make this limitless aaa when i say something just do this so you can be free from it i deal with that
[00:07:28] pk i deal with this i walk in a room and think everybody's staring at you no they ain't They walking in as insecure as you.
[00:07:38] People pleasing is at the root is fear of rejection, fear of conflict, fear of disappointing others, fear of being misunderstood, fear of being tired because everywhere I go, people don't like me.
[00:07:57] Fear of not being loved or accepted.
[00:08:01] A people pleaser says yes when they want to say no.
[00:08:07] people pleasing you feel responsible for everyone else's happiness you avoid difficult conversations how many of y'all avoid difficult conversations I'd rather keep the peace right man there are some people that get everything because they're loud and and and loud and wrong loud and wrong
[00:08:31] but they don't even care they have lost the art of getting along with others because they've had to fight their whole life. And so now they've allowed what people did to them to get inside of
[00:08:44] them. They feel responsible. People pleasing pleasers feel responsible for everyone else's happiness. They avoid difficult conversations. They constantly seek validation and you overextend yourself to keep others comfortable. You stay silent about your true feelings. You feel guilty
[00:09:08] about setting boundaries. And see the difference between being kind and being a people pleaser is this. You ready for this? Kindness gives from a healthy heart. I'm showing up, but I ain't showing up healthy. I'm showing up mad because you made me change my whole plans. Those people that always
[00:09:29] plan something that you need to be at, but they do it when you already have another obligation on purpose. You know, we have a conference every year at this time. You're going to plan that
[00:09:41] for the whole family exactly during the conference. Or why I have a work trip. You're going to do it and then I'm going to feel wrong because I couldn't show up. You see what's happening there,
[00:09:55] right? Because some people are sent by the enemy to agitate you because it's a little foxes that spoil the vine. So when you don't deal with some things on the inside of you, the enemy will make
[00:10:10] sure you are confronted with it. So it steals your peace and you don't go to that next level.
[00:10:15] Kindness gives from a healthy heart.
[00:10:19] People pleasing gives from a fearful heart.
[00:10:25] Even Jesus loved people deeply, but he didn't live to please people.
[00:10:30] If you really study the Bible with us, like we're doing every single morning at 8 a.m. Monday through Friday, we're in Joshua right now.
[00:10:37] And Joshua is telling us about how Jesus, man, Jesus was saved, but not solved.
[00:10:45] Because at some point, even if we're like, Jesus. No is no. No is a complete sentence. Why? Because boundaries are biblical. And when I get to a place where I can stand before the Lord and know that he's going to say, well done, my good
[00:11:04] and faithful servant, I ain't got to worry about nothing else. I'm knowing God's handling this.
[00:11:09] You know how many times I used to lay in my bed and be like, man, I hope I didn't say that wrong.
[00:11:13] I hope I didn't. I hope I didn't offend them. I hope I didn't. I would just freak out, lay in my bed, can't fix nothing. But would lay there and be so afraid because my whole life I was told,
[00:11:25] you're just too much. And so I lived in this place of every single thing I ever say, it offends people. And then when I really fell in love with Jesus and I found God for myself,
[00:11:39] did you know I probably didn't find Jesus for myself until I was 36? I could dance with the best of them. I fell out every service. I could speak in tongues, sing worship, but did not know
[00:11:53] who Jesus is because I was more driven by idolization of people. And so every time I would do something wrong, I would spend all my time instead of being in the presence of God and just
[00:12:04] living in peace, which God created you to live in peace. But we're going all through life, stressing out everything, spiritual warfare. It's almost like we got to have spiritual warfare to make us feel like we're holy enough. What? For your whole life? You under spiritual attack? Your whole life?
[00:12:25] Every day? Or could it be your choices? Could it be you making obligations that you don't want to make to make people that ain't never going to love and like you right anyway, proud and pleased?
[00:12:41] Well, what would Jesus do? I ain't Jesus. Trying to be like him every day. I lay hands on myself with oil because there's sometimes I want to help Jesus with his children. I love Jesus,
[00:12:57] but not always his children. But it's in that place where you're saying, God, I literally all for a year would lay hands on myself and say, Lord, show me, me expose the hard places in me
[00:13:13] that I never confront because I don't want them to be right. Heal me. Let me love. Well, Don't let me be a people pleaser.
[00:13:27] Don't let me be who they say I am.
[00:13:31] And over time, I started realizing how free I was.
[00:13:34] That's why now I can literally think everybody's complimenting me.
[00:13:37] I don't even realize it's hate.
[00:13:39] I'm like, girl, come on, come on.
[00:13:40] You're going to love being around us.
[00:13:43] I don't even remember offenses.
[00:13:45] Like, I don't even think I have offenses.
[00:13:46] If I ever had offenses, I can't even remember because everybody's my friend.
[00:13:50] And if people don't like me, it's because they don't know me.
[00:13:53] Because if you knew me, you would love me.
[00:13:54] and when you're in that place with God you realize that I'm not on this earth to make you happy I'm on this earth to obey God and as long as I'm obeying God it ain't my business how you feel
[00:14:05] about me so when you can get to that place where you fall on your knees and really love Jesus for real you ain't you ain't insulting people your spirit may be agitating their demons but that
[00:14:16] ain't your business your business isn't to quiet down your business isn't to be quiet your business isn't to have the best shout. Your business is to say, why did I need to get on this post and
[00:14:27] give my opinion? Why did I need to be heard? I ain't never seen more people in my life than right now that's got more opinions about people that they don't know. How you judging people off
[00:14:42] of a 10 second clip, but you have a call of God on your life and the enemy wants to snatch it from you. Why? Because the enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy. And he does it by suffocating your
[00:14:56] dreams. Yeah, you quit living. So Jesus loved deeply, but he didn't live to please people.
[00:15:05] Listen to what Galatians 1.10 says. It says, obviously, I'm not trying to win the approval of people. I'm trying to win the approval of God. So a powerful way to identify people pleases to ask yourself this. You ready for this? If nobody got upset with me, would I still make this
[00:15:24] decision, would I still say no to that family gathering? Would I still tell my boss, no, I'm not working anymore overtime for free for you. Would I still give up my peace for my grown
[00:15:45] kids? They went and had all those babies. Nobody told you to have 10 kids. Nobody even told you to have three. But now because you've got kids, now you want me to stop my life and babysit your
[00:16:04] kids because that's what grandmas do. And if you don't do it, then they feel they, they guilt trip you. You see what the enemy does, right? That is people pleasing. So now when you and your husband
[00:16:20] could be going to Cabo San Lucas together, your daughter actually mad at you because you won't keep the kids. And you know, the last time you didn't keep them kids, she didn't talk to you
[00:16:30] for four months. That's called manipulation. And if you don't learn how to live your own life, the enemy will allow every single day. You will get another phone call to literally fill your spirit with grief. How many don't need deliverance from what people think? How many need deliverance
[00:16:51] to live your life? Raise your own kids. I'm Kiki, not mama. My daughter loves her baby. She don't even do that. My husband, I was complaining the other day and my husband said, you better shut up.
[00:17:10] I said why he said wait till she really loves you a whole lot and she wants you to keep that kid every day then what you're gonna do sometimes you gotta be grateful for where you at right
[00:17:22] so listen if nobody got upset with me would I still make this decision if the answer is yes but you're changing your decision to avoid someone's reaction that is people pleasing you ever seen somebody dating somebody they're hell on wheels and they still dating them because
[00:17:47] somewhere in them, if I have their kid, then they going to be better. No, they ain't. If I get their last name, then it's going to be better. No, it ain't. Because character is character is character.
[00:17:59] See, sometimes the reason we are where we are is because we've spent our whole life trying to get approval. You want people to love you so bad that you have not lived one ounce of your life feeling
[00:18:10] joy. Ah, people pleasing is when you become so committed to keeping others happy that you lose yourself in the process. God never called you to manage everyone's emotions. He called you to steward your own obedience. Say no is a complete sentence. Is that hard? Some of y'all are like,
[00:18:43] nope, nope, man, ain't hard for me. But other people, no, no, I can't. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I can't. Are you mad? Are you mad? Are you mad? I'd be like, girl, be mad. I'm over here
[00:18:56] living. I raised, I'm living my best life with my husband. The enemy often uses lies to get us distracted, trying to prove a lie wrong. Here's where the enemy will get you to mama. You ready
[00:19:13] for this? You were not a good, maybe you were not the best mama with them kids. Maybe you were busy growing up with them kids. Dad, maybe you were busy being a rolling stone when your kids were
[00:19:23] little. Maybe you were messy. Maybe you're still growing. Nobody gave us a handbook on how to be parents. There was not a one-on-one dummy book for parents. We did the best we could do. And if
[00:19:37] you're not careful what the enemy will do, the enemy will make you live your whole life feeling a guilt trip. When I walked through a divorce, I literally, I guilt tripped in myself because I
[00:19:47] never dreamed that I'd raise my kids as a single mom. And I remember going to that Thanksgiving table and that empty chair was sitting there and I felt mortified because how could I be in a
[00:20:00] marriage for 18 years. And then when my kids needed their mom and dad together, we broke up, but I had a decision to make. Do I stay here in this toxic relationship and let my children
[00:20:13] think this is normal or do I risk? Neither answer was white for me. So I had to get to a place where I realized I'm, I'm going to do what's honorable to God, right? Listen to this. John 8, 44 says,
[00:20:30] for you are the children of your father the devil and you love to do the evil things he does he was a murderer from the beginning he has always hated the truth because there is no truth in him
[00:20:41] when he lies it is consistent with his character for he is a liar and the father of all lies so if something is giving you anxiety what is that huh huh it's a lie anxiety is a lie
[00:21:00] the reason you have anxiety anything that they cannot peg is a spiritual fight the enemy's using to stop you and literally holding on to these people pleasing can literally make you sick one of the biggest traps the enemy says isn't making you fail it's making you spend your life
[00:21:26] trying to prove a lie wrong trying to be accepted no matter how much you do for some people it will never be enough. You can't go back and be a better mama. You can't go back and be a better
[00:21:44] employee, but you sure can learn. And you sure can get so free from people's opinions that you use it as a ministry point of contact for the world, because probably 80% of the moms and dads
[00:21:56] out here feel like they didn't do enough. You hear me? Some of you aren't exhausted because of your assignment. You're exhausted because you're fighting accusations. You're trying to prove. You're trying to prove you're good enough. You're smart enough. You're worthy enough. You're
[00:22:17] over your past. You're not who you used to be. You're not who they said you were. And while you're busy defending yourself, you're delaying your destiny. Why are we still talking about this?
[00:22:36] Why do you keep bringing this up? Proof is in the pudding. I realized because I get a lot of people saying to me, I loved you when you had your mohawk and you wore them tutus. You were so feisty and so
[00:22:51] fabulous. And I'd be like, girl, look, she ain't never coming back. But ever so often it would bother me. Like, was I more anointed then? Was I more, what was it? Have I lost that? Because that's
[00:23:08] what the enemy will do. All of a sudden, the other day I was laying in my bed and I was praying and thinking about it and God dropped in my spirit. The reason they loved you then is because they
[00:23:17] understood you then because you were still broken. Anybody that can walk around saying bye Felicia is broken because when you're really healed, you don't explain yourself. You let your fruit outlive it. Say whatever you want to say, but I'm gonna let my fruit show you. And so what the enemy
[00:23:39] will do if you don't get free from that, he will bring those people in your life to make you question that. See, this is what healed looks like. This is what called being loved looks like.
[00:23:49] why she always got to talk about her husband because baby, I am so grateful that God gave me another chance. I'm so thankful that I'm not that girl that ran them off that I don't need no man
[00:24:06] wake up one day and didn't have one. Oh, I'm doing everything different. Why? Because I got to break the pattern of what I was used to, which means I got to do the exact opposite that got me where I
[00:24:20] was before. And there's some people that won't let you outgrow a season. So what does that mean?
[00:24:29] To the balcony, you go. I love you, but I love you from up there. Listen, while you're busy defending yourself, you're delaying your destiny. The enemy doesn't need you to believe every lie.
[00:24:41] He needs you just to spend your life responding to them. Why? Why can I just let you go love who you will love why does it get in our under our skin so much so that we will go to bed and eat
[00:25:02] haagen-dazs and gain 60 pounds and stalk them on social media instead of realizing that they don't love you and that's okay that God will send complete strangers to support you he will send somebody out in Zimbabwe to fill positions in your life, but you got to let go and let God write
[00:25:30] this down. The lie was never your assignment. People pleasing was never your assignment.
[00:25:38] You hear me? Jesus never spent his ministry proving Pharisees wrong. I get asked all the time. Can you, can you give me a scripture for this pastor Kim? I need a scripture for this.
[00:25:50] Someone at work is debating me.
[00:25:52] Can I have a script?
[00:25:53] I said, girl, no, I can't.
[00:25:55] Go chat GPT it.
[00:25:58] Because if you got to spend your time trying to get old crusty person with no sheets on their mattress and make them believe something, it ain't.
[00:26:06] Why?
[00:26:06] Why are we doing this?
[00:26:09] You hear me?
[00:26:10] It's a distraction.
[00:26:12] And I want you to ask yourself today, if you're in a slump, it's because you've given the wrong voices a front seat in your life.
[00:26:20] anytime you're scrolling through something trying to figure out a response that is a distraction they called jesus a blasphemer a fraud a demon possessed he was demon possessed he was a drunkard they called him a false prophet and yet jesus kept healing he kept teaching
[00:26:49] He kept walking.
[00:26:51] Why?
[00:26:52] Because purpose is bigger than public opinion.
[00:26:58] How many of y'all need a freedom from that?
[00:27:00] How many say, Pastor Kim, I need freedom from that.
[00:27:02] I need freedom from needing to feel validated by people that ain't even valid.
[00:27:07] I need to love but move strategically.
[00:27:13] Isaiah 54, 17, listen to what it says.
[00:27:14] It says, but in that coming day, no weapon turned against who?
[00:27:20] Who?
[00:27:21] you. It says no weapon formed against you will succeed. You will silence every voice raised up to what? Accuse you. But wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Notice God didn't say who.
[00:27:39] He didn't say you. He said he will silence every voice that rises against you. He said he would.
[00:27:51] So that means we've got to stop grabbing battles that God never assigned to us.
[00:27:57] If I've got to lose my sleep over it, bye.
[00:28:02] Some of y'all have insomnia.
[00:28:03] You know why you have insomnia?
[00:28:04] Because you don't trust God.
[00:28:08] God created human beings to sleep six to eight hours every night.
[00:28:16] And ain't it crazy how we will lay awake trying to count the stars.
[00:28:21] We can pray the heavens down, but when it really comes time to us to move, we get scared.
[00:28:27] Scared of what?
[00:28:28] they can't steal your birthday, but yet you'll live in this place of, of, of fear. He said, stop grabbing battles that God never assigned you. Every minute, say every minute spent proving myself to someone is a minute stolen from becoming who God created me to be. Why? Because God's
[00:28:56] people. We just, come on in. Come on in. My husband gets so irritated at me. He'll be like, girl, they don't like you. I'm like, yeah, they do. They love me. Let's invite them. But see, when
[00:29:10] you are connected to God, you are just so free. You don't care. You're not insulted. You're not offended and you sure ain't manipulated. Listen, write this down. David never answered his brothers.
[00:29:30] I got to make this quick because I'm out of time. Listen, David was out in the, in the field. And this was, this is first Samuel 17, 28 through 30 and go read it yourself. David was out in the
[00:29:40] field. His daddy said, go take lunch to your brothers. He was Uber eats. It was Uber eats.
[00:29:53] he decides I'm gonna go take sandwiches to my brother when he gets out there he sees this big old giant harassing his hundreds and hundreds of tough dudes and he's like what in the world
[00:30:13] are y'all doing he came to deliver food the family didn't see his greatness the family never thought he had anything in him. But because in his season where everyone discounted him, he was learning how
[00:30:31] to pray and fight. He was learning how to believe and fight. He was learning how to build his confidence. And he shows up and he knocks the Goliath out. And because he could knock the Goliath
[00:30:42] out, even his own brother Eliab walks up to him and says, who do you think you are? His own brother. You know why? Because his brother knew he had something. His brother knew he carrying an
[00:30:59] oil. His brother knew there's something in this man. A lot of times when people are coming against you, it's because they see something in you that they don't see in themselves. And you gonna let
[00:31:13] them stop you. You gonna let them stop you. I used to lay hands on myself all the time and say, Lord let me see myself like the haters see me God let me see myself the way those blogs see me
[00:31:30] Lord let me because maybe when they talk about you and you ain't even in the room there's something on you because usually it's out of sight out of mind but when they can take time to build a whole
[00:31:43] case against you and they don't even know and even worse when they do know you see they know there's something in you the brother goes why are you here who is watching the sheep why are you quitting your job you got kids at home that need insurance why are you going after
[00:32:13] your dream you fell out of school in the eighth grade he says why are you here who is watching the sheep Eliab said I know you're just prideful David could have spent all day on Eliab but you
[00:32:33] know what David saw David was like no no no I've got some stones in my hand and I know all I need I don't even need armor you got to put on armor and you still a scaredy cat I don't even got to
[00:32:47] put no armor on because baby I've been sweating I've been out in the field sitting under a tree trying to keep one you don't have a clue what i made it through all i need is one stone and i'm
[00:33:00] gonna take this stone and he's over there the brothers are talking to him he tunes them out and he takes that stone and he throws it and he hits him between the eyes there's some of you
[00:33:13] you've been discounted they thought you were stupid they said nobody would ever love you because your teeth they said nobody would ever love you because you can't put complete sentences together they said nobody would ever love you because you dropped out of school they said
[00:33:28] nobody would ever love you because you're the baby they said nobody would ever love you because you've been married a few times trying to get somebody to approve of you but i'm in this room
[00:33:36] today telling you you are the chosen one you have a call of god on your life always say this thieves don't rob empty vaults do you hear me limitless thieves don't rob empty vaults and fight you
[00:33:58] because you're weakling they're fighting you because there's something inside of you and baby I'm here to tell you today you ain't too old you ain't too far gone if you could touch the hem of
[00:34:15] his garment stay standing I'm done if you could touch the hem of his garment when that lady had been bleeding for 12 years and people told her you stay in your house don't you come out of your
[00:34:28] house because you're defected that's how some of you feel I know there's a call of God on my life but because I have a history I can't be used of God that woman was told to stay in the house
[00:34:44] so when she finally said if I can get to the feet of Jesus I don't even need to I don't even need him lay hands on me if I could just touch him I don't need him to lay hands on me I don't need
[00:34:54] him to know my name i don't even gotta tell him what's wrong with me if i could just touch a piece of his cloth i will be made whole it had nothing to do with god and everything to do with her faith
[00:35:06] she knew my faith with that touch that's why the enemy's been stopping you because you carry oil you are slippery you are slippery you are slippery you are oily you know what i started realizing
[00:35:26] y'all i started realizing that i used to tell god you hate me i must have been bad in baby heaven because anything that could go wrong went wrong in my life my heart was always right i wanted so
[00:35:47] bad for people to love me i tried to be like everybody when i started preaching i would listen to people and god and he said and he's gonna do so i could who i would watch him dance
[00:36:02] still can't get that left leg to move I would do everything I could to turn myself into who I thought I should be by them and I remember God kept telling me until you get to a place where
[00:36:17] you love who I created you to be every scar every embarrassing story every embarrassing season every delay every single mistake and you get to a place where you can celebrate you can celebrate the DUI. You can celebrate in the jail. You can celebrate the addiction. You can celebrate
[00:36:38] everything God trusted you with until you get there. Kimberly, you're never going to get free.
[00:36:46] I would stay mad. Like I was going to get a reward for it. I carried a fence. Like I was getting paid for it. I would say things like, this is just me, take it or leave it. And guess what?
[00:37:07] Everybody left it. And it was the greatest thing that happened to me because I hit rock bottom.
[00:37:13] and when I hit rock bottom, I found the rock at the bottom, which was Jesus, and he started picking me up. I was laying in my bed, and I'd be like, God, take this pain away. He'd be like, I can't
[00:37:23] take it away. You got to get up and walk away from it. That means you got to reprogram your brain.
[00:37:28] You got to begin to stop your bad thoughts. You got to stop playing with sin and think I'm going to save you, and you got to start closing some doors, and you got to start getting comfortable
[00:37:36] by yourself, and you got to get comfortable praising me. You got to get comfortable praising god in the middle of church and not caring what nobody thinks about you and here's what i'm telling you limitless people pleasing you not getting invited the greatest gift to your life
[00:37:58] because a lot of times you didn't get invited because your shine was going to take the whole room one of the greatest gifts was you being you've been you've been the baby of the family
[00:38:09] the baby always gets overlooked they're spoiled they're brats and they're overlooked and we ain't never wrong and one of the greatest gifts to my life was losing F at 36 years old and having to
[00:38:35] pull myself up out of the grave having to pull myself up and walk into church and lead praise and worship when I hated God and his children I praised my way from religion into a relationship
[00:38:51] y'all listen to me the problem with today is we get stuck in a culture where we need people approval some of y'all aren't doing what God told you to do because a man or a woman didn't ordain
[00:39:07] you are speaking into you nobody has given the authority to tell you what you can do and not do for the kingdom of God some of you are sleeping on your gift you're sleeping on that business
[00:39:20] you're sleeping on that book. You're sleeping on that podcast. You're sleeping on that store.
[00:39:24] You're sleeping and you're barely making it. And you're in, I'm just taking crumbs. I'm taking crumbs. But here at Limitless, we don't take crumbs. Here at Limitless, we build our own table. Here at Limitless, we support each other and love each other and push each other and believe
[00:39:40] in each other. Do you hear me? So this season, I want you to think about it. Some of y'all this close to losing your marriage it's close all out in these streets but because we're so afraid
[00:40:07] of somebody thinking that we need them because the last person we shade we needed they left so now we big bad and alone that broken bag don't keep you warm i've called you for such a time as
[00:40:34] this and it starts with surrender and if you're in this place today and you say pastor kim i get right there and i felt like i hit a wall y'all look at me church hurt is a real thing there's
[00:40:55] humans leading churches and all of us are flawed that does not give anybody permission to hurt you it's your job not to get offended at people we got to make a point to leave places that we are done
[00:41:12] with without sabotage it's okay to go to another church it's okay to go to another job and it's okay to not even explain yourself but what not is what is not okay is you walking into that next
[00:41:26] season with the same anger you left with because where God's taking you they need you at that church where they need you at that job and a lot of times because we walk in with the scars we don't
[00:41:39] allow ourselves to really show who we are and so if you're in this room today and you say PK I've been I've been putting a muffle on myself I've been hiding in the back I used to be so outgoing
[00:41:52] but now look at me and I'm ready to reclaim that y'all June the end of this June July August September October November December look at me this is your redo this is your comeback season
[00:42:10] this is a season to recalibrate did you know you could be a millionaire by December I'm not kidding you could be married by December and you ain't got a date just like that and if
[00:42:27] you're in this room today and you say, BK, I've been, I've been stopping it. I'm so afraid of failure. I'm so afraid of messing up. I put myself over here in this little box, but I'm ready to
[00:42:38] reclaim it. Lift up your hand. Come on, lift it up. I'm ready to reclaim my next season. I'm ready for joy to fill my life. Come on, lift it up. Come on online. Just drop a one. Say, I'm ready. I'm
[00:42:46] ready. I'm ready. I'm ready. I'm ready. And I need you to take that head and put it on your head like this. Say, father, show me what I need to release. Show me what I need to release. Show me who I need
[00:42:57] to release lord give me spiritual amnesia let your power flow through me now say self i forgive you for not knowing then what i know now devil you should have taken me out when you could have
[00:43:15] because i'm coming back for double for my trouble i want restitution say fear go back to hell worry go back to hell go back to hell where you belong Lord I repent for playing small
[00:43:35] use me in Jesus name amen amen and amen
