Prophecy or Politics? A Review of ‘What God Is Saying in This Hour’

The sermon is founded upon a critical error: the elevation of extra-biblical, subjective prophecy to the level of scriptural authority. This foundational failure in Bibliology leads to a cascade of further errors, including a conflation of a political movement with a work of the Holy Spirit, a flawed understanding of regeneration, and a hermeneutic that uses Scripture as a pretext for a political narrative. The core message is not the Gospel of Christ, but a call to trust the speaker's prophetic insight into a nationalistic revival.

🔍 Biblical Discernment: The 7 Church Parallels
The Faithful Parallels Smyrna • Philadelphia
Teaching that parallels the churches that endure suffering with true spiritual riches (Rev 2:9) and keep the Word of Christ without denial despite having "little strength" (Rev 3:8).
The Cold Orthodox Parallel Ephesus
Teaching that upholds doctrinal precision yet parallels the loss of the "first love"—the vital, motivating power of the Gospel (Rev 2:4).
The Formalist Parallels Sardis • Laodicea
Teaching that parallels churches relying on a reputation of being alive while being spiritually dead (Rev 3:1), or resting in lukewarm self-sufficiency, claiming to be "rich" while spiritually bankrupt (Rev 3:17).
The Compromised Parallels Pergamum • Thyatira
Teaching that parallels churches tolerating the "doctrine of Balaam" through cultural accommodation (Rev 2:14), or allowing seductive teachings that lead the flock into false gospels and immorality (Rev 2:20).
Why strictly "Mark & Avoid"?
We do not issue this rating to attack the speaker, but to protect the listener. This church's overall teaching trend consistently deviates from sound doctrine. As per Romans 16:17, we identify these patterns so believers can guard their hearts.

🧐 Overview

Sermon Summary: This sermon claims to deliver a direct prophetic word about a 'Third Great Awakening' tied to current political events. It warns of 'perilous times' ahead for Christians and calls for absolute commitment. However, a closer look reveals a message built more on personal revelation and political analysis than on the solid ground of the Bible.

Big Idea: I believe that we are already in a third great awakening... But the Lord has shown me that we are entering into a time that there is going to be a lot of problems in this nation... it's going to be tough on Christians. [00:12:55 ▶️ 📄]

Pastoral Analysis: The sermon is founded upon a critical error: the elevation of extra-biblical, subjective prophecy to the level of scriptural authority.

Biblical Parallel(Archetype): Thyatira — The sermon's authority is built upon a self-proclaimed prophet whose extra-biblical revelations and political focus seduce listeners away from the sufficiency of Scripture and the centrality of Christ.

Overall Verdict: Fundamentally in Error

CategoryStatusReasoning
Soteriology ❌ FAIL The description of a person being 'born again dozens of times' reveals a man-centered, decisionistic view of salvation that fundamentally misunderstands the singular, sovereign, and effectual work of God in regeneration.
Bibliology ❌ FAIL The sermon's entire framework rests on the speaker's personal 'prophetic words,' treating subjective revelation as authoritative and sufficient for direction. This practice functionally denies the sufficiency and finality of Scripture (Sola Scriptura).
Hermeneutic ❌ FAIL The hermeneutic is pretextual and driven by newspaper exegesis. It uses Scripture to support a pre-existing political and prophetic narrative rather than allowing the text to drive the message, resulting in a dangerous conflation of national political events with spiritual revival.
Theology Proper ⚠️ WEAK While not explicitly heretical about God's attributes, the presentation frames God as a means to a political end and a source of ongoing, extra-biblical information, rather than the sovereign object of worship whose character and will are fully and finally revealed in Scripture.
Sacramentology ⚪ N/A No sacraments were observed or discussed in the sermon.

📖 How they Handle Scripture & Jesus

Primary Text: Hebrews 12:25-29 (Pretextual (Thin))

Scripture Saturation: Verses Read: 11 | Referenced: 14 | Alluded: 1

Key References: Acts 2:17, Exodus 19, Exodus 32, Isaiah 45, Matthew 24, Revelation 12:11, 1 Corinthians 15, Philippians 3, Ezekiel 16, Colossians 3:5, and 4 more...

Christological Connection: None (Moralistic): While Christ is mentioned as an example (Philippians) and the 'blood of the lamb' is referenced (Revelation 12:11), the sermon's primary focus and application heavily emphasize human decision, commitment, and action to navigate 'perilous times.' The 'third great awakening' and specific political changes are presented as the primary drivers of current positive shifts, with Christ's role being more implicit or exemplary rather than the central, redemptive power source for the believer's daily walk or the nation's transformation.

✅ Commendations

Ethical Clarity | Unyielding Stance on the Sanctity of Life

At [00:30:50 ▶️ 📄], the speaker provides a clear, compassionate, and biblically sound defense of the unborn. The statement, 'abortion is murder... that is not your body,' is a correct and courageous declaration of biblical truth in a hostile culture. This clarity is commendable.

⚠️ Theological Concerns

🔴 Denial of Scriptural Sufficiency via New Revelation

Root Cause: Neo-Montanism. This error denies the sufficiency and closure of the Biblical canon by claiming new, authoritative revelations from the Holy Spirit, parallel to the claims of the 2nd-century prophet Montanus.

"So tonight I'm going to be ministering from a prophet perspective... God spoke to me and he said someday the people that are in this auditorium will be telling the youth of their generation what it was like to be a part of the third great awakening." [00:00:00 ▶️ 📄]

Correction: The Bible itself declares its own sufficiency for equipping the man of God for every good work (2 Timothy 3:16-17). The faith has been 'once for all delivered to the saints' (Jude 1:3), and we are warned not to add to the words of God's prophecy (Revelation 22:18).

🔴 Conflation of Political Events with Spiritual Revival

Root Cause: Hermeneutical Fragmentation (Missed Typology). This error fails to see how Old Testament promises of national blessing are fulfilled, expanded, and universalized in Christ and His church. It instead applies them directly to modern geopolitical events, confusing the shadow (earthly nation) with the substance (Christ's spiritual kingdom).

"...it is not, uh, president Trump that is making these changes in this nation, but instead president Trump is a result of the third great awakening." [00:14:20 ▶️ 📄]

Correction: Christ's kingdom is not an earthly, political one (John 18:36). The promises of God find their 'Yes' in Christ (2 Corinthians 1:20), not in a political movement. The church is the 'commonwealth of Israel' (Ephesians 2:12-13), a spiritual body, not a geopolitical entity.

🟠 Faulty Doctrine of Regeneration

Root Cause: Semi-Pelagianism / Synergism. This error views salvation as a cooperative effort between God and man, where man's decision is the decisive factor. The idea of being 'born again' multiple times stems from this, as it ties the event to a repeatable human action rather than a singular divine act.

"all of them have prayed with president Trump to get born again. So he's gotten born again, dozens of times." [00:17:55 ▶️ 📄]

Correction: Regeneration, or being 'born again,' is a one-time act of God (John 3:7, Titus 3:5) by which a person is made a 'new creation' (2 Corinthians 5:17). It is a spiritual birth, and one can only be born once.

📝 Other Corrections & Notes

  • When the new covenant came on the day that the new covenant was instituted in Acts chapter three, 3,000 people were born again and set free. [00:11:00 ▶️ 📄] → Correction: The event where approximately 3,000 people were saved occurred on the Day of Pentecost as recorded in Acts chapter 2, specifically verse 41, not Acts chapter 3. (Acts 2:41)

[00:00:00] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_00]
[00:00:00] So tonight I'm going to be ministering from a prophet perspective and it may be different than what you're used to and I don't know if this will be the only service I do that or if I'll do it again during the week but anyway I encourage you and I've got this little video right here hope for the future have any of you ever gotten this how many of you have ever had this hope for the future it's from our truth and liberty boy just very very few people this is awesome it's a documentary and it's about three prophetic words that the Lord gave me on March the 5th 2021 I was in Oklahoma City and my niece one of my nieces was holding a meeting there and it was the very first time they had ever held an independent meeting and they had about 800 people there and I tell you it was powerful the worship was just awesome and the presence of God was so rich and so powerful that it was so powerful that it was so powerful that it was so real that I as I was standing there worshiping the Lord I was just praising God Father thank you that you're raising up young people and that we're going to be able to leave this you know in the hands of people that have a revelation of the Word of God and I was just praising God and thanking him and right in the midst of that matter of fact there's a picture on the front of this that is not photoshopped or anything but at the very moment that I had my hands in the air just praising God a woman behind me took a picture of that exact moment and God spoke to me and he said someday the people that are in this auditorium will be telling the youth of their generation what it was like to be a part of the third great awakening and when he said that uh that really kind of startled me because of course like so many people I've been praying for revival and for God to move and I've been praying for this nation but you know it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's the scripture says 2nd Chronicles 7 14 if my people which are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways then will I hear from heaven and forgive their sins and heal their land there's conditional things on that and so even though I know that God wants to pour out his spirit and I you know there are conditions and so I've been praying for but I didn't have assurance that these things were going to happen plus I probably would have never used the term and I'm not going to use the term and I'm not going to use the term and I'm not going to use the terminology third great awakening I don't know that that ever crossed my brain but I would have said a revival an outpouring of the Holy Spirit a move of the spirit or something is the terminology I'd use so when the Lord said that someday these people will be telling the youth of their generation what it was like to be a part of the third great awakening I just knew that that was the Lord because that wasn't my terminology and so I thought Lord are you saying that we are going to see a great awakening in this nation and we're going to see a great awakening in this nation and I mean he came back just immediately and said no it's not coming it's already begun and that was in 2021 March the 5th and Richard Harris down here who's the head of our truth and liberty stand up Richard so everybody can see him boy this guy is a super blessing to us right here and he has a program every Wednesday and every Friday night truth and liberty and also we do a lot of things matter of fact we got a truth and liberty conference coming up in September and Charlie Kirk is going to be one of our speakers at that and if you've never attended one of our truth and liberty things they're really good but Richard is the one who he was touched by this and he got some of our staff here to put this together and it's a documentary it has who Lance Wallnau David Barton who else is on here Janet Porter Pastor Chaon from California and they're all talking about that the Lord has shown them the same thing so this is it's hope for the future and I tell you it'll really encourage you it's about what 50 minutes I think something like that so anyway that was the first word that the Lord gave me and it was a prophetic word and so I've shared that and then in 23 we were holding our family bible conference and on July the 4th the Lord spoke to me during praise and worship and he said specifically that by the 250th anniversary which is next year of the you know the declaration of independence he said by then we are going to see all of this wokeness and this dei and all of the political correctness and all of this kind of stuff it's going to be either dead or dying we're going to see it in total retreat and and the Lord said specifically that even the news media would be admitting that this has happened so that happened in 23 and that's two years ago this week did you know that already I have seen reports where they are saying that dei is dead and these are liberals that are saying it because they're seeing the retreat and I couldn't even tell you how many corporations but I know that ford and tractor supply and oh I don't know just many many many of the great big corporations have now withdraw their funding for the homosexual community and uh they they are having to cut back you know this is what the um this is what the ungodly call pride month and uh they are having to scale back their parades they don't have the funding and so it's already happening so that's already coming to pass and then that same year in September when we were at the truth and liberty conference I just was down here and boy God spoke some things to me and said specifically that the truth and liberty conference is going to happen and I just was down here and boy God spoke some things to me and said specifically that this was the interpretation of a tongue and so I just waited on somebody to speak and give a message in tongues and nobody did and so I waited and waited and finally I got up and gave a message in tongues and then interpreted my own tongue and basically what I was saying is that I said in two years this was back in 23 and it was September the 8th if I remember correctly of 23 and the Lord said that uh he , he knew that we were discouraged by a lot of the things that were going on and remember the context of this in 23 is when Biden was still in office and I mean everything looked like it was going south they were pushing this ungodliness down our throat transgenderism and uh I mean it was it was bad and it looked like things were never going to turn around and so the Lord said in this prophecy that he said I know you're discouraged that you're not going to be encouraged because of the things that are going on but he said be encouraged because things are turning around and really in September the 8th of 23 it didn't look like things were turning around and you know a lot of Christians have really short memories and they forget but I can guarantee I remember vividly that in September of 23 uh you know Biden and the news media was just presenting things like that all of us who believe in, in biblical morality and stuff were totally wrong. And I mean, it looked like things were going in a terrible direction. All of the polls showed that Biden was going to be reelected and things were looking pretty bleak. And yet this word from the Lord said that in two years, the people that are pushing all of these things and cramming this ungodliness down our throat would be removed. And did you know, in 23, that didn't look very possible.
[00:07:59] And yet here we are in two years, exactly what this prophecy said. And did you know that today Biden, Kamala Harris, uh, Nancy Pelosi, boy, she was just shaking her fist in the face of God and coming against everything that was good. And on and on, you could go naming people and, uh, today they have been removed. And I've, you know, I've probably, I've probably watched more news since president Trump has been elected than I've watched in four years because it's good news all of a sudden to see what's happening. And, and anyway, I have questioned and wondered why some of these people that at one time were so prominent and they are removed. I mean, it's come to pass. So I'm saying those things, but I'm not saying they're just to say that I do believe, even though I operate primarily as a teacher, I do believe that God has given me a prophetic, an anointing, and I use it, uh, some as the Lord directs me. And as I was praying about this, the Lord just spoke to me and said that I need to speak some of the things that he's been showing me about where we are in this culture and about things that are happening.
[00:09:14] And so that's what I want to share with you tonight. And I'll probably still be doing a lot of that. That's what I do. But this is a word from the Lord. Let me turn over here to, uh, Hebrews chapter 12 and start with these verses, Hebrews chapter 12.
[00:09:34] And in verse 25, it says, see that you refuse not him that speaketh for if they escaped not who, uh, refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape.
[00:09:49] If we turn over here to Hebrews chapter 12 and start with these verses, Hebrews chapter 12 and in a way from him that speaketh from heaven. And if you were to read in the context, I won't take time to go back to it, but it had just referred to when the Lord came down and gave the 10 commandments and he literally spoke in an audible voice. And it said that the earth quaked at the voice of the Lord. And the people were so afraid. They told Moses, don't let God talk to us anymore. You go talk to him and you tell us what he said. And I could spend a whole time teaching on this, but I believe that God was wanting to have a personal, personal relationship with God, with, with his people, the way that he did with Adam and Eve.
[00:10:25] And yet when he showed up their own sin and their own conscious conscience condemned them so much that they just couldn't abide the presence of God. And they said, don't let God talk to us.
[00:10:36] And finally, the Lord told Moses, he says, what they've said is good. And that's when he gave the 10 commandments. I believe if they'd have responded differently, they might've got a different thing.
[00:10:46] Did you know when the 10 commandments were given and Moses came down with it, 3,000 people died in a plague because they had had the golden calf and they had started into idolatry while Moses was up on the mountain. When the new covenant came, that was the old covenant. When the new covenant came on the day that the new covenant was instituted in Acts chapter three, 3,000 people were born again and set free. What a difference between this old covenant and the new covenant. I believe that the Lord was wanting to deal with his people differently, but he spoke and it said that they refused to do it. And he said, don't let God talk to us. If they refused him. And he says, if they refused him and they were judged then, what is it going to be like for us who have heard God speak from heaven? And then he goes on to say, whose voice then shook the earth. And that literally was recorded over there in Exodus chapter 19.
[00:11:37] But now he has promised saying yet once more, I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.
[00:11:44] And this word yet once more signify the removing of those things, which is the word of God. And he says, if they refused him and they were judged then, what is it going to be like for us who have heard God speak from heaven? And he says, if they refused him and they were judged then, what is it going to be like for us who have judged them? And he says, if they refused him and they were judged then, what is it going to be like for us who have judged them?
[00:11:50] And he says, if they refused him and they were judged then, what is it going to be like for us who are shaken as of things that are made that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.
[00:11:57] Wherefore we receiving a kingdom, which cannot be moved, let us have grace whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear for our God is a consuming fire. And I believe that this has a future fulfillment at the very end, but you know, we're getting close to the very end.
[00:12:17] Matter of fact, in Acts chapter two, verse 17, you will see that Peter on the day of Pentecost, he was preaching a message and he quoted from the book of Joel, where Joel said in the last days, I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy. Your old man shall dream dreams. And he said in Acts chapter two, verse 17, that that was the fulfillment of that prophecy about the last days.
[00:12:42] So if 2000 years ago was the last days, we must be in the last of the last days.
[00:12:49] And well, whether those last days happen in my lifetime or not, these are my last days. Amen.
[00:12:55] These are your last days. And so this is saying that in the last days, there is going to be a shaking so that things that can be shaken will be removed so that the things that can't be shaken will remain. And so let me just say that going back to these words that God has given me, I believe that we are already in a third great awakening. And again, I could spend more time, but I'm just going to say this. I pray that you will understand and that you'll receive this. But did you know the first great awakening happened in the early 1700s or mid 1700s and George Washington was a product of the first great awakening. Now, some of you may not know that, but if you go back and study it, David Barton, Bill Federer, or personal friends of ours, matter of fact, they're on our board of truth and liberty. And these guys are walking historians. They are just national, treasures. And they have shared so much that I guarantee you, uh, George Washington would not have been the way he was without the first great awakening. Abraham Lincoln was a product of the second great awakening that went from around 1820, all the way up into the 1850s. Probably it was a long outpouring of the spirit of God. And Abraham Lincoln was mightily impacted by that. And here we are, I believe in the third great awakening. And so I'm making this, I'm making this, I'm making this comparison that it's not George Washington that made the revolution work. It's not Abraham Lincoln that made the end of slavery and the victory of the civil war. And it is not, uh, president Trump that is making these changes in this nation, but instead president Trump is a result of the third great awakening. Now, some people may have a hard time likening Trump to Lincoln or to, uh, Washington, because those were virtuous men that, man, they were impeccable and stuff. And, uh, president Trump is not necessarily the poster boy for Sunday school, but nonetheless, I guarantee you what God is using president Trump to do when he got elected, there was something that was broken in the spirit realm. I don't know if you've seen this or understood it, but there was an oppression. And as a minister, I guarantee you, I guarantee you, when I would stand up and say that God intended for marriage to be between a man and a woman and that you can't just change your identity and your gender by how you feel. And when I'd say things like that, there was an oppression and there was people that would, uh, man, if, if looks would kill, they would have killed you. And did you know that that was broken when Trump got in there is something's changed. And, and so all of these things that we see happening, it's not president Trump that's making it happen. It was this, this outpouring of the spirit of God. It's a third great awakening that actually caused these things to happen. And I believe that God raised up president Trump again, without me going into detail. If you get this little video, uh, Lance wall now, who's also on our board of truth and liberty and Lance wall now is a real outspoken leader, but Lance wall. Now the Lord told him before the 20, what was that? The 20, 2016, election. Uh, he told, uh, Lance, he says that Trump is the chaos candidate. He wrote a book about it. And he said he would be the Isaiah 45 president. It just so happened that when Trump was elected the first time, it was the 45th president. And if you read in Isaiah chapter 45, it says that my servant Cyrus, and it calls the King of Persia, Cyrus, the servant of God. And he says, he is my servant and I'm using him, although he knows me not. And so Lance wall now prophesied that God was going to elect Trump and his book came out the week before that this stormy Daniels thing came out. And, uh, Lance was all over in, um, Israel, I think when all of that happened and he made a pot, he was supposed to make a podcast that afternoon announcing his book coming out when all of this came out and he thought, Oh God, he says, I'm going to be ruined, he went ahead and just said what God told him. And sure enough, it turned out that it happened.
[00:17:24] And so, uh, I believe that God is using president Trump. Although I'm man, I'm trying not to get off on, I'm got some other things I want to go to, but let me just add this quickly that Paula White is a friend of mine. We don't know each other real well, but I know her. And she said that president Trump is a changed man. And, uh, that when he had that near assassination, she said, it has changed his life. She's been his pastor for 27 years. And she said, she knows that he's born again. I've had Kenneth Copeland, James Robinson, Creflo dollar. And it seems like some others, all of them have prayed with president Trump to get born again. So he's gotten born again, dozens of times. So, but you know, you don't get born again, full grown and he's still got a lot of rough edges on him. But Paula White says that when that, uh, bullet grazed his ear said it transformed him and his attitude. And he is absolutely committed. He feels a mandate from God and he's standing up. And I don't know any Christian that I'm aware of that would have stood against the opposition that he has had. And so I believe that God is working on him. One last reference before I go on, but I heard a prophecy that was given in April of last year. The assassination attempt happened in what? July the 13th, I think something like that. And the prophecy was that there was going to be an attempt on president Trump's life. And it would some come so close to him that it would rupture the eardrum in his right ear. That's pretty specific. And that was given about three months before the assassination attempt. And the prophecy went on to say that when that happens, he would be born again. And the guy, and the guy giving the prophecy said, now I know many people think he's already born again, but he's going to start acting like he's born again. So anyway, I believe that God is using him, but he is not the one that's driving this.
[00:19:32] It's a result of the third great awakening and everywhere we go, you know, the Bible sales last year went up 22%. I mean, it was phenomenal. The jump in Bible sales. Did you know that church attendance has been going down for a long time? It's been going down for a long time. It's been going down for decades. And I don't have the figures right on the top of my head, but it's been decreasing consistently for decades. Did you know last year it turned around and there was an increase? I'd probably get it wrong if I guess, but I think it's somewhere around 15 to 20%, somewhere in that area, increase in church attendance. And the largest group that is going to church now is the generation Z. And the largest group among them are the males, which is bucking.
[00:20:20] I'm saying all of the trend. So I'm saying all of these things to say that I believe that we are in a great awakening, that the body of Christ has been praying and believing for this and the power of God is moving. And so sometimes we give, for instance, we give George Washington credit for the revolution and no doubt God used him, but I guarantee you, George Washington was a product of that first great awakening. We give Abraham Lincoln credit and no doubt, God used him in a supernatural way, but that was a result of a move of God. What we see happening in our nation where DEI and all of this stuff where they are cramming ungodliness down us and trying to take away the rights of parents so that you can't even control what they tell your kids.
[00:21:08] We've had people right on this stage whose children were indoctrinated in Colorado and they were turned into lesbians because the school system wouldn't even notify them.
[00:21:20] That's child abuse. That's demonic. There's no way to justify that kind of stuff.
[00:21:26] And those, those things were happening and now it's turned around. So what we see happening is a byproduct of that. So I say all of those things to say that I believe that we are in a third great awakening. So what does this mean? And here's one of the things that the Lord wanted me to share with you tonight, that just because there's some awesome things happening and we are seeing, we're seeing a lot of things happening, we're seeing a lot of things happening. We're seeing a lot of things happening. We're seeing a lot of things happening. We're seeing a lot of things happening. We're seeing a lot of things happening. We're seeing a lot of things happening. We're seeing all of these great results. The Lord has shown me that, uh, there, the momentum has shifted.
[00:21:59] You know, JB talks about in football and stuff. This is one of the things they talk about a lot that, you know, the momentum shifted in one group may still be behind, but boy, all of the momentum's with them. And once you get momentum going and you get your adrenaline flowing, I mean, things turn around. So the momentum now is moving in a godly direction.
[00:22:19] But the Lord has shown me that we are entering into a time that there is going to be a lot of problems in this nation.
[00:22:28] Just because there's some good things happening, we have seen the ungodly gain an authority and a power that they never had before.
[00:22:38] And they are not going to give it up.
[00:22:40] We've seen this in the recent riots in L.A.
[00:22:43] They're sitting there and I mean, they were rioting and throwing things.
[00:22:47] And some of the stuff, you know, there was, I think, two firefighters that were just killed yesterday that were responding to an arson that was set.
[00:22:56] And the guy who set the fires, I think, is the one that shot and killed them.
[00:23:01] Firefighters.
[00:23:02] And we have people that are against police.
[00:23:04] They hate police.
[00:23:05] They want to defund police.
[00:23:07] I saw a woman interviewed on a thing yesterday and she was just calling police pigs and saying terrible things about them.
[00:23:14] And the guy interviewed him and said, if you got in trouble, who would you call?
[00:23:17] And she said, I don't know.
[00:23:17] She says, the police.
[00:23:21] It's hypocritical, the things that they're saying.
[00:23:23] And, you know, we can go back to, I think it was 2020 and the riots that we had with George Floyd.
[00:23:30] Or when was that, 2016?
[00:23:33] Anyway, whenever that was, we had to defund the police and they took over like in Seattle and Portland.
[00:23:39] And I mean, it just decimated these places.
[00:23:42] And now these places are recognizing that, man, you can't defund the police.
[00:23:47] And you can't.
[00:23:47] You can't just sit here and empower the ungodly.
[00:23:50] And they're beginning to back up on that.
[00:23:52] So all of those reactions, the Lord is showing me that even though we are seeing some great things happen.
[00:23:59] And I mean, some of the things that Donald Trump is doing, I just am literally shouting, standing up and saying, yes.
[00:24:07] Like I never thought I would see somebody stand up and just literally call out ungodliness as if ungodliness was wrong.
[00:24:17] And I'm rejoicing at it.
[00:24:22] But the Lord is showing me that the ungodly are not going to give up the ground that they've gained.
[00:24:27] And there is going to be tremendous pushback on this.
[00:24:32] And so my point in bringing this out is that some Christians think, well, man, praise God, things are going good.
[00:24:37] I can go back to not getting involved and not praying and stuff.
[00:24:43] I think we are headed for some serious problems.
[00:24:46] Did you know that?
[00:24:47] The Great Awakening caused a revolution.
[00:24:51] The Second Great Awakening caused a civil war.
[00:24:55] And we have yet to see what this Third Great Awakening has caused.
[00:24:58] But every single time that the Spirit of God has moved, there has been tremendous opposition.
[00:25:05] And the Lord is just speaking to me that it's going to be tough on Christians.
[00:25:10] I'm talking about born again, Spirit filled people that will stand up and speak the truth.
[00:25:17] And so let me use these scriptures out of 2nd Timothy chapter 3.
[00:25:23] And here's what Paul said in verse 1.
[00:25:26] He says, This know also that in the last days perilous times shall come.
[00:25:33] You know, let me share this with you out of some other translations.
[00:25:37] If you haven't got my living commentary, you need to get it.
[00:25:40] It's awesome.
[00:25:43] And if I can find it.
[00:25:46] Uh, i tell you this is awesome we've got 31 102 verses in the bible and i've written footnotes on 28 000 of those verses and this is just awesome stuff but here is the new international version of second timothy chapter three verse one it says but mark this there will be terrible times in the last days the amplified bible classic says but understand this that in the last days will come set in perilous times of great stress and trouble hard to deal with and hard to bear and the living bible says you may as well know this too timothy that in the last days it is going to be very difficult to be a christian and you know you you compare this with what jesus said over in matthew chapter 24 he says before the coming of the lord you shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake and you know when i was a kid i used to read that and man i mean christianity like i grew up in texas and you couldn't have a sports game on a sunday you couldn't have a sports game on wendy wednesday because that was a church night and i mean they closed things down on sunday they had what they called a church night and they closed things down on sunday they had what they called blue laws because they wanted you to take sunday off and when i was a kid i'd look at things and think well that must be everybody but americans but you know we are beginning to see the only people that it is politically correct to correct our christians if you were a muslim and if you stood up and said something that expressed your faith i guarantee you nobody would say anything because they don't want to offend you and we don't want to come across that we are critical towards muslims or if you say anything against homosexuality or transgender or just any of these kind of things you couldn't get by with it without somebody coming against you but you speak against a christian and i guarantee you most people will sit there and not say anything the only people it's fashionable to persecute in the united states are christians and so anyway think of this here's the apostle paul who was beaten shipwrecked put in jail he said that he suffered more than anybody else and yet when he's writing to timothy he says in the last days it's going to be difficult to be a christian look at all he'd been through and he says it's going to be worse in the last days many people might disagree with this but let me just say that did you know that i think the things that are going on in our nation in many ways are worse than if there was just out and out persecution where you were beaten or put in prison and you were put in prison and you were put in prison or something like that because it's more subtle i remember during covet i had people come to me and they were male this one guy was a male nurse and he he came to me and he says god told me not to take this vaccine and i said well then don't take the vaccine simple answer and he says but they've said they're going to fire me if i don't take the vaccine and did you know he was debating whether or not to do it because it was his whole vocation this is what he had trained for and if he got fired from this hospital how would he ever get to work again and so even though he knew clearly what god told him to do and whether or not you're supposed to take the vaccines not the issue here i'm talking about i'm saying god told him not to do it and yet he was grappling with should i do what god told me if i do i'm going to lose my job did you know that that is more subtle and in some ways it is a worse persecution based下 was to stick a gun to your head and say, you renounce the Lord or I'll kill you. Most people would see that for what it is. And they would never just renounce the Lord, but they will compromise to hold onto their job. They will not speak out because it might cost them something in their job. People might speak against them. There are many people that are in churches.
[00:30:00] I was talking to one lady tonight who came with her son and I prayed with her before. And I was asking her about, do you have any support? And her church doesn't support her. And that's a bad situation. But there's a lot of people that go to churches that I guarantee you, if you were to stand up and say, no, this is ungodly. This isn't just your choice and it's not your truth. This is sin. It's wrong. And you don't have to be mean with it. Just tell them, look, it's sin. God loves you, you sinner. Amen. And you can be forgiven, but you just need to say the truth. If you were to say that, I guarantee you, you wouldn't be forgiven. If you were to say that, you wouldn't be forgiven.
[00:30:35] There are many churches that would kick you out of the church. You know, Raphael Warnock is the guy who pastored Martin Luther King's church in Atlanta. He was a pastor and he ran for the Senate and he won. And he got up and said that he is convinced that Jesus would be for abortion and for all of these things, Jesus would abort children, which I guarantee you, anybody who believes in abortion, I'm not mad at you. I'm not against you. And I know that there's people that have had it. I know that there's people that have had it. I know that there's people that have had abortion and there's forgiveness for it. But I guarantee you, abortion is murder. It is not convenient. It's not your body. They have a separate DNA. They have a separate blood type many times and stuff that is not your body. And if you want to exercise choice, you need to exercise it before you conceive. Once you conceive a child, you do not have the right to kill that child.
[00:31:31] And I'm not saying this in anger. I'm not trying to be mean to you. I'm not trying to mean to anybody. I'm just saying this is what the Bible said. And yet it's unpopular today to say this. You guys are giving me grace. You're the fanatics that came from all over the world. And so you're giving me grace. But if I was in a secular setting and saying these same things, I guarantee you they would come against me. There are people that would probably physically fight me.
[00:31:56] They would do things. I've been threatened to be arrested by the governor here. He sued me twice and I had to sue him twice. And, uh, finally, he wrote me a letter and he said, I'll leave you alone. If you'll leave me alone. I said, you got a deal. Amen. But I'm saying that, you know what? It's not popular to say what I'm saying.
[00:32:14] And I'm not saying anything angry. I've got friends that have done everything I'm speaking against. I just watched my television program for tomorrow. And if you want to watch it, I'm interviewing Connie Weiskopf. She had three abortions. And yet I interviewed her on my television program. And we were talking about how that God has set her free. And now she runs a pregnancy center in Boulder, Colorado, a block and a half from the largest abortion facility in the nation. And we, and I love her and we've embraced her. I even helped her get it started.
[00:32:47] I've given her a lot of money. So I'm not against people who have done these things, but I'm saying it's wrong. And to stand up and say that this is right. And this is wrong is unpopular. And whether the point I'm trying to get across is whether you know it or not, it is, there are perilous, times, and it is difficult to be a Christian to stand up and say some of the things that just like when I was a kid, 50, 60 years ago, maybe 70 years ago. Did you know, if you say those things today, they would, you would have lawsuits come out against you. We live in a culture that is anti-Christian and praise God. There's some positive things happening, but it is an anti-Christian.
[00:33:32] And I guarantee you Christians, have been on the defensive. And what I'm trying to say is that just because we see some things turning around and we have a person in position of leadership that is beginning to enforce the law and they're beginning to purge the military of all the wokeness and the people that are effeminate in the military, and they're willing to stand up and, and do things, even though there's good things happening, I guarantee you the ungodly are not going to go quietly. We are living in perilous times.
[00:34:04] And you need to be aware of this, because if you are going to sleep, I guarantee you it's, uh, there's, there's some hard times coming. And I don't take any joy in saying that, but you hide and watch.
[00:34:19] I believe that this is the Lord that has spoken these things to me. And we are going to see a lot of pushback in this nation. We are going to see a lot of resistance against the things that are happening. And I do believe that president Trump, uh, from everything I've known about him, talk to people who know him, he just doesn't give a rip.
[00:34:39] So I don't think he's going to be deterred, but I can guarantee you, you as a believer, you're going to have to stand up and be willing to take a, uh, take a shot from the devil.
[00:34:51] You know, a scripture that we often quote over in revelation chapter 12, verse 11, it talks about the devil being cast down to the earth. And he had great anger because he knew his time was short. And it says, and they overcame him by the blood of the lamb.
[00:35:03] And the word of their testimony. And we often quote that and that's good, but it goes on to say, and they love not their life unto the death. We've got a lot of people that are willing to say, oh yes, I believe in Jesus. And I believe that God's helping me to overcome. But are you going to stand to the point that if it costs you your life, are you going to still be standing? And I do believe that there are going to be people here in this nation that it'll cost you your life to stand up.
[00:35:33] As a believer. And if you aren't prepared for this, if you aren't aware of what's going on, and if you aren't seeking the Lord and building yourself up and you, you lull yourself into a passive position, then when it does get bad and somebody comes out against you, I guarantee you, you won't be prepared to be able to stand. I've already made my decision decades ago that if something costs me my life, I'm going to stand for what the truth is. And I'm going to try and do it in a godly way. And I'm going to try and do it.
[00:36:03] I'm going to try and do it in a way that I'm trying to show love towards the people who disagree with me. I'm not mad at them, but I am not going to back down from the truth. I don't care if it costs me my life or cost me anything. When the governor sued us and came against us and gave an order that we could not assemble in this building. And he sent a cease and desist order and they were going to arrest me. Did you know, Jamie said, I hate this. And I said, I hate it too. But what am I going to do?
[00:36:33] I'm not going to do what God's word says. Am I not going to stand for truth just because it's going to cost me something? If you don't make that decision in advance, I guarantee you when you got get under pressure, you'll cave. And I was actually visiting with my granddaughter one time. My kids were over at the house and my son and my granddaughter were there. And somehow or another, this came up about, would you be faithful even if it costs you your life? And I said, absolutely. I said, without a doubt. And my granddaughter, God, how old she was at this time, but she's like probably 12, 13 or something. And she says, what if they threatened to kill me if you didn't renounce the Lord? And I said, I wouldn't renounce the Lord for anybody or anything. And she just was shocked at that. Like, don't you love me? And I said, I love you with all my heart, but I'm not going to renounce the Lord for anything. I don't have any limits. It's not like I'm going to serve God. And as long as I can do it without losing my job, as long as I can do it without losing my reputation, as long as I can do it without losing my reputation, as long as I can do it within these boundaries, I'll serve the Lord. I've just taken all the boundaries off and I am going to overcome the devil by the blood of the lamb and the word of my testimony. And I don't love my life to the death. And this is the attitude that we have to have. And this is what it's saying. There's going to be perilous times and look at there's 19 things listed here. And let me just quickly read this to you. And if you pay attention, this is like, you could go to a newspaper and you could find every one of these things right here on the front page. This is where we are, brothers and sisters. And I know that this may not be one of those messages that makes you want to shout and run the aisles, but I believe it's a prophetic word from the Lord that you need to get rid of any reservations. You need to be committed and seeking the Lord. We win. I'm believing that I am going to come out on top and that I win, but I am prepared for opposition.
[00:38:33] And it doesn't surprise me when people come out against me. We had a whole group of people that ran for city council and stuff here in Woodland Park, and they did it on an anti-Karis basis that we will stop Karis. And you know what? I didn't go over in a corner and suck my thumb and say, God, why doesn't everybody not love me? I'm going to, I'm going to try to walk in love with people. We teach our students to be kind to the people that you're a representative to the whole city and stuff like that. And I'm going to try to walk in love with people that you're a representative to the whole city and stuff like that. And I'm going to try to walk in love with people.
[00:39:03] But you know what? It doesn't surprise me. Matter of fact, Jesus said, beware when all men speak well of you for so spake they of the prophets that were before you, the false prophets. I don't have to worry about that one. All men do not speak well of me. So look at some of these signs of the end times. It says in verse two, for a man shall be lovers of their own selves. Did you know out of all of the 19 things that are listed, think about this. He lists some terrible things.
[00:39:33] In here, the first thing he lists is people will love themselves. Did you know many churches today say, oh man, you need to have a positive self-esteem, self-esteem. You need to have this good self-image. And this is basically what all of the motivational speakers talk about. And this is, this is what so much of our society is all about is about feeling good about yourself and having a good positive self-image. Paul said that he was the leader of the church. He was the leader of the church. He was the least of all of the saints. And he wasn't even worthy to be called an apostle in first Corinthians chapter 15. He said in Philippians chapter three, that he had no confidence in his flesh whatsoever. Did you know he would be kicked out of all of the self-help groups. People would be against him. Now I believe in having Christ esteem. I believe I can do all things through Christ, but I do not believe I can do all things. But really, I believe I can do all things through Christ. I believe I can do all things through Christ. But really, I believe I can do all things through Christ. But really, I believe I can do all things through Christ. But really, I believe I can do all things through Christ. But really, I believe I can do all things through Christ. But really, I believe I can do all things through Christ. But really, I believe I can do all things through Christ. But really, I believe I can do all things through Christ. But really, I believe I can do all things through Christ. But really, I believe I can do all things through Christ. But really, I believe I can do all things through Christ. But really, I believe I can do all things through Christ. But really, I believe I can do all things through Christ. But really, I believe I can do all things through Christ. But really, I believe I can do all things through Christ. But really, I believe I can do all you aren't awesome. You're a mess. All of us were headed to hell and God didn't love you because you were so awesome. And he just couldn't make it without you. If you want to turn over to the 16th chapter of the book of Ezekiel, the Lord is talking to the nation of Israel. And he said, you were like a child that was born and you were cast out into the desert and you rolled in the dirt and you had dirt caked upon you and your navel wasn't cut and you were polluted in your own blood. And he just paints this picture of you were, you were this filthy, dirty thing. And yet I loved you and I came and I redeemed you and I did all of these things. And he was saying that to say, how could you turn against me after all I've done for you? But did you know God didn't come and think, Oh, I've got to have these people. I love them so much. Well, it is true that he loved us so much. He loved us so much that he loved us so much that he loved us so much that he loved us so much that he loved us so much that he loved us so much that he loved us so much that but it wasn't because we were lovely. It's because he is love and you do not need to be lovers of your own selves. This is the first thing that's listed. And I actually believe it's the foundation of everything else that's listed. Every one of these other problems, you can trace it back to the fact that we love ourself more than we love God. When it talks about, they love pleasures more than they love God. That's selfish. When they do all of these things, the root of all sin really is just self. You can go back to Adam and Eve. And did you know that the temptation was you aren't quite like God. God is holding back on you. And you know what their temptation really was? It wasn't the fruit as such. It was just, I want to be like God.
[00:42:26] I don't want to be submitted to him. I want to have his place. It's idolatry.
[00:42:34] And let me say some things.
[00:42:35] You know, we were talking to JB and Dorothy today, and he's in a realm where he has to be a little more delicate with what he says. I just say it.
[00:42:47] And I respect JB. It's amazing the way that he's had to navigate some of the things that he's been through. But here's what I'm trying to get across. That if you know that God told you to do this, and yet you're going to do something else, or if you're even vacillating about it and saying, God, if I do this, I'll lose my job. These people will reject me. You may not phrase it this way, but you know what that is? That's idolatry. God said, do this. And you're going to sit there and say, well, I'm not sure I'll do that because look what it had cost me. I might lose my job.
[00:43:21] I might lose my career. That's you making yourself God. And I'm not saying that I do this perfectly, but back in March the 23rd, 1968, I had become a religious Pharisee and I was trusting God. I was trusting God. I was trusting God. I was trusting God. I was trusting God. I was trusting God. I was trusting God. I was trusting God. I was trusting God. I was trusting in my own goodness. And I thought I was better than most people. And I saw the glory of God. And when I saw the glory of God, I repented in sackcloth and ashes. And I can truthfully say since March the 23rd, 1968, if somebody can tell me that this is what God wants you to do, I would do it. If it killed me, I would do it without any reservation. And I don't have to sit there and struggle about, will I do it? No, if you can convince me, if I know for sure, it's God, I'll do it. And I don't care what the results is. I'm not God.
[00:44:12] When you sit there and debate whether you're going to do what God told you to do, you're making yourself God. It's idolatry. And I know some of you think, boy, you're really stretching this.
[00:44:22] Did you know Colossians chapter three, verse five, the last part of that says covetousness is idolatry. If you are coveting things, and if God tells you to give, you know, a large offering and you think, oh God, I need this money. And so you don't give exactly what God told you. You know, that's idolatry. That's covetousness and it's idolatry. I know most people don't think this way. And you think I'm being hard on people. And that's the reason that you fluctuate and vacillate.
[00:44:53] I tell you, it just makes Christianity real simple. When you think there's only one God and I am not him. And so God, if you tell me to do something, I'll do it. I don't care what the results is. It's not my responsibility. You know, John Quincy Adams, our sixth president, he says, duty is ours, results is God's. And that's the attitude that the founding fathers had. They fought against the mightiest nation on the planet with a group of farmers that weren't trained. They put everything on the line and they said, this is what God told us to do. And whether we win or not, we are willing to pledge our life and our sacred honor.
[00:45:33] And all of their resources, because they were doing what God told them to do. Did you know, in world war two, we had people that went out and fought and Jamie's uncle, she was named after her uncle James. So they gave her the feminine name of that. And he was involved in Iwo Jima and he wasn't able to say what happened, but he did send a letter. And he says, you know, tomorrow we're going to do something. And he, he couldn't divulge it to give away the secret, but he, he said, I want you to know that I love you and told his family and stuff like this.
[00:46:07] And they told the, the troops that were in Iwo Jima that the first two to five waves, a thousand people in each wave would never make it on shore that they were using them to draw the machine gun fire and the mortars and things like this to expand the enemies, um, arsenal.
[00:46:28] And they knew that the first two to 5,000 people would all die. And yet they were willing to sacrifice their life for something bigger than them. There's not very many people who would do that today because they are lovers of their own selves. That is not a godly thing.
[00:46:49] Jesus did say that you should, uh, you know, do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
[00:46:54] And it is true, but it says in Philippians that we're supposed to love others better than ourselves, more than ourselves. And it used Jesus as an example, Jesus gave everything for us. We are supposed to be able to submit everything to him.
[00:47:11] So I could preach on that forever. But the first thing out of 19, so this is 0.1, I'm going to hurry up, but it says they were lovers of their own selves. Covetous.
[00:47:24] I've already mentioned Colossians 3, 5. That's idolatry to where you want your way more than you want God's way. And I'm not saying that I hate you.
[00:47:33] If that's the way that you are, I'm aware that all of us were born self-centered.
[00:47:38] So this is the way all of us were born. But I'm telling you, as, as we see things happening, and as there's more pressure put upon Christians, and as it's going to start costing you, if you are covetous, if you are thinking only about yourself, you will not be able to stand.
[00:47:56] So you need to make a decision that, you know what, I'm going to put God first. I'm going to put his kingdom first. I'm going to stand for truth.
[00:48:03] More than I stand for my own prosperity. And unless you're willing to do that, you'll cave under all of the pressure that comes against you. So they were lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, man, we could spend a lot of time talking about this, but this is so prevalent today. I remember when Muhammad Ali came out and said, I am the greatest.
[00:48:28] And he probably was the greatest as far as a boxing thing. But man, that was so, offensive to people because our culture did not say things like that. And I guarantee you there was a huge pushback on Muhammad Ali. Nowadays, nobody would think a thing about that. If somebody stands up and says, I'm the greatest and they start proclaiming themselves. I mean, in one generation, we've gotten to where people promote themselves and they glorify themselves. And this is accepted and even promoted in our society. It's an ungodly attitude. And then it says proud.
[00:49:05] Did you know there's a, there's a comparison between being boasters and proud, but pride isn't only boasting. It's not only arrogance. It's just self-centeredness. It is self-dependence.
[00:49:19] You know, if the Lord told you to do something and their first thought is God, I can do this and you are going to lean upon.
[00:49:26] Yourself. That's pride. A truly godly person will be like the apostle Paul says when I'm weak, then am I strong and God without you, I can do nothing. Now, praise God. I'm never without God, but without God, I can do nothing. That that's, that's humility and boasting is arrogance, but you could be proud and not be a boaster. You could be self confident. You could have, uh, you just depend upon your own thinking and stuff.
[00:49:56] So, there is a difference between those two. It goes on to say blasphemers and blasphemers is not only blaspheming God, but it's dishonoring, disrespecting, slandering people and things. We have people today that slander institutions such as the police, such as firefighters, such as first responders. Did you know that that's part of blasphemy? And this is in epidemic proportions to where they don't respect authority. And you saw this in the LA riots and the thing, that they're doing, there is no justification for that. You know, peaceful protest is one thing, but when you're throwing brook, uh, bricks at people and burning cars and stuff, and they say they're peaceful protest, man, that's ignorance gone to seed. And then it goes on to say disobedient to parents. I think this is probably worse today than it's ever been in my lifetime. And most of the things that I've read about, man, people are disobedient to parents and the old Testament. If you cursed your father and mother, you brought them, you, you disciplined them. And if they kept doing it, then you brought them to the elders of the city. And if the, and if they wouldn't respond, then you had to stone them to death. Disobedient to parents was not tolerated under the old covenant. Now it's considered a rite of passage that you just have to go through a period of rebellion. It's ungodly. It's a sign of the end times. And then it goes on to say unthankful, man, I could spend hours on this.
[00:51:26] But people are not thankful today. They aren't praising God for what they've gotten. This is one reason that we make our graduates go on a foreign missions trip because Americans have been spoiled rotten. And we think that unless you have the brand new car, that's 80,000, a hundred thousand dollars at somehow or another, you're poor. And so we send you on a trip. And I remember going to Mexico and going to a dump, a city dump that was acres and acres and acres.
[00:51:53] And we met people that were born, in a cardboard box on that dump and 50 years old had never left the dump. And we're still living in a cardboard box. And you go see something like that. And all of a sudden you come back and it changes the way you look at things. We have been spoiled and we don't realize how blessed we are.
[00:52:15] Did you know that most Kings, most people who were the most powerful person on the world at the time, didn't have the conveniences that you have hot water, air conditioning, heating, cars, microwaves, phones that you could call people. Did you know we are blessed, blessed, blessed, and yet people just sit here and complain because you don't have the newest phone because you don't have, you know, all of these things that's unthankful and it's listed right here along with all of these other ungodly things. The next thing it mentions is unholy.
[00:52:51] Did you know that being unthankful is being unholy? If you look in Deuteronomy chapter 28 verses, I think it's 48 and 49. It says, because you didn't serve the Lord, your God with joyfulness and gladness of heart, therefore you will serve the Lord. Your, you will serve your enemies in the absence of all of these things. Now, again, we've been redeemed from that curse.
[00:53:14] Thank God for Jesus. So God's not going to curse you and he's not going to punish you, but it shows you that he did not look at being unthankful as being okay. Some people think, well, I'll be thankful when everything works out. You'll never be thankful. We live in a fallen world and you're just going to have to get to where you start praising God. You know, Mike and I were talking just this week and some of you know that we come into some financial hardship and we, I sent out a little letter, I think it was last Thursday or Friday about it and stuff. And Mike and I were talking and we were, we were saying, you know, it's hard to be discouraged when you look at all God's already done for us. And we were just looking at all of this, you know, have, I don't know, close to $200 million worth of assets, debt free paid for, and you come across a little problem and it's just hard to be discouraged because we are thankful. We remember all of the other things that God has done. Thankfulness will change your attitude and it's unholy. If you don't have a thankful attitude, I need to hurry up. I'm going to quit here quickly.
[00:54:19] But in verse three, it says without natural affection, this is talking about, they don't even love blood relatives.
[00:54:26] They don't love their, their family. And boy, we've seen the breakup of families today. We have so many families without a father in the family. And because of this, there's just terrible things.
[00:54:37] And we have people that don't love their own kin is what that's talking about. Truce breakers.
[00:54:44] Again, you used to be able to shake hands and your, your word was as good as a contract.
[00:54:50] Now today's you can have a contract. And if you have a shyster lawyer, you can get out of it.
[00:54:56] People don't honor their word. They're truce breakers. They don't keep their word. The scripture says, I think it's Psalms chapter 15 verse four, somewhere around there that a godly person will swear to his own hurt and change. Not if you are truly a godly person. If you tell people you'll be somewhere at two 30, you are there at two 29. Amen. I'm looking at JB because we just went through that this week. He, he was going to meet me at two 30. I'm going to meet him at two 30 and he was rushing, but he was not going to be late. Amen. And he got there at two 29.
[00:55:31] Praise God. A godly person will keep their word. And yet there's some people that that doesn't mean a thing to them, but it says, um, without natural affection, truce breakers. Oh, I must just skip some things. Uh, anyway, false accusers is where you're accusing somebody today. You don't have to be guilty of anything. You just have to be accused. You don't have to be guilty of anything.
[00:55:56] And if they accuse you of something, you're guilty in public opinion until you're proven innocent. That's wrong. Incontinent. You know, we use that word today to refer to a person that can't control their bowels, but this applies literally to, you just can't control your emotions. You can't control yourself. There is no self-control and man, we have that in epidemic proportions fierce, which is talking about wrath. That is not just where you're displeased with somebody, but you're, you're angry. You're violent with it. That's an ungodly trait. And it's an epidemic proportions despisers of those that are good. Well, this is exactly what Isaiah chapter five, verse 20 says in last days, they'll call good evil and evil, good and sweet, bitter and bittersweet and light, dark and dark light. Everything will be reversed to where they're saying now that if you want to marry, you know, uh, uh, if a man wants to marry a woman that you're, you're somehow or another something, it's wrong with you. The ones who two men marry or two women marry that that's good. No, that's not good. It's not good. God loves you, but that's not good. And the fact that, you know, you're sitting there and saying that they shouldn't have drag Queens coming into kindergarten people and doing all this stuff. And if you say something against that, you're evil. No, that's evil.
[00:57:19] If you don't get upset with people abusing fourth and fifth graders and stuff and giving them hormone shockers and cutting off parts of their body that is going to ruin their life. Something's wrong with you. Not, not wrong with the people who stand up and say that this is evil.
[00:57:37] Thank you for those few nods.
[00:57:42] Traitors, heady, high-minded lovers of pleasures, more than lovers of God, having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof from such turn away. Notice it says that all of these negative things have a form of godliness. Notice it says that all of these negative things have a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof from such turn away. Notice it says that all of these negative things have a form of godliness. Notice it says that all of these negative things have a form of godliness. Notice it says that all of these negative things have a form of godliness.
[00:57:57] And we've got people again, I can go back to the previous administration where Biden and Pelosi and all of these people were pushing so hard for abortion and saying all of these things. And they said that they were, you know, practicing Catholics and that they were great Christians. And they even had some of the Catholic church that wouldn't administer community communion to them because at least they stood up and said, no, this is not Christianity.
[00:58:21] This is not representative. They had a form of godliness, but they denied the power thereof.
[00:58:26] And it says from such turn away. And I'm out of time, but let me just say that it goes on to talk about Janice and Jambreeze. These were the two magicians that stood before Pharaoh. And when Moses threw his rod down and it turned into a snake, Janice and Jambreeze threw their rod down and it turned into a snake also. But Moses rod or Aaron's rod ate up their rod. And they were able to mimic some of the things that God did.
[00:58:56] But they weren't able to stand it after a while. A matter of fact, when the plague of the boils came, they had so many boils on them. They couldn't even stand anymore because they were smitten by the boils. And it says right here that as Janice and Jambreeze withstood the truth, these have withstood the truth, but they shall proceed no longer. So let me just tell you that even though we're seeing some great things happen, that there are some perilous times coming for Christians. And unless you are absolutely sold out and love, not your life to the death, you are not going to be able to stand against some of the stuff. You will wind up compromising. There's going to be financial detriment to standing up for the Lord. And I know people don't like to hear this, but if you don't acknowledge the war that we're in and the Lord said that you'll be hated of all nations for my namesake, it doesn't change the war. It just means you're destined to lose because you won't be prepared.
[00:59:56] You know, Trump is making NATO now pay up and pay not only the two percent, but the five percent. And he's encouraging them to be prepared and peace through strength. It's the same thing with Christians. There are Christians that haven't been focused on the Lord. They're focused so much on themselves and about getting everything for themselves. I tell you, we've got to look beyond ourselves. You've got to get to a point that you have something bigger than yourself. David said when he went out to meet Goliath, he says, is there not a cause? There needs to be a cause in your life, something that's bigger than you. You need to have something to live for that is bigger than you. And so even though this may be a little bit sobering, I really felt like this is what God wanted me to share tonight. And it's for your benefit. This isn't a rebuke to anybody. It's a warning. And did you know, if you, it makes the Christian life so simple when you just finally say, yes, sir, God, whatever your word says, whatever you want me to do, I'll do it. And I don't care what the results are. It doesn't matter. You can threaten me with anything, but I am going to do what you tell me to do and let the chips fall where they may. When you make a decision like that, you don't have to go every day and wonder, am I going to still be serving the Lord tonight? Am I going to still be serving the Lord tomorrow? I've made a decision that I'm not going to ever turn back regardless of what it costs me. And if you make that decision, it just makes the Christian life so simple.
[01:01:26] Amen. I don't struggle and have to debate things. I just do to the best of my understanding what God is telling me to do. And I'm encouraging you to do that tonight. So let me give this invitation. If there's anybody here tonight who doesn't know the Lord, first of all, if you have never truly committed yourself to the Lord, if you are like this, it says in second Timothy chapter three, verse five, that you have a form of godliness, but you've never been truly born again. You need to receive salvation tonight.
[01:01:56] Because I can guarantee you there's going to be a shaking and all of the people who are Christians in name only are not going to be able to stand. You need to make sure that you're truly born again. You need to make sure that you have the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Jesus said that you shall receive power. After that, the Holy Ghost has come upon you. I talked to a man tonight who had been against speaking in tongues, thought that was crazy. He's heard me talk about it and he said, now I haven't received it yet, but now I understand that it's real. If you're like that and you are here and if you don't have this baptism of the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues, man, you need to receive it. It's like charging hell with a water pistol. If you don't have the baptism of the Holy Spirit, you need some power and you will not be able to stand on your own. The Christian life isn't just difficult. It's impossible. You need the power of the Holy Spirit in your life. And if for some reason you know that God is leading you to do something and you haven't done it and you are sitting here and debating about it, maybe you know you're in disobedience or maybe you're just considering, should I do this because it'll cost me this? You need to just run up a white flag and make an unconditional surrender tonight. And I tell you, it's awesome. It's awesome when you just approach a problem and say, God, I don't have to deal with this. This isn't my problem. It's yours. I'm doing what you told me to do. And so I'm trusting you to get me out of it. So those are three things. If you aren't born again, if you don't have the baptism of the Holy Spirit, which includes speaking in tongues, and if for some reason you haven't truly submitted yourself to God to where you are going to do whatever he says, then you need to respond and you need to make those commitments because I believe that we are coming into perilous times. I'm saying this by the spirit of the Lord, and there's going to be a lot of people fall away. There's going to be a shaking in the people that haven't really committed themselves to God. You will not be able to stand. So you need to do that. I'd like to ask our prayer ministers, if they would, to come down here and they're going to be at the front and we will be here to pray with you. So if I could get everybody to stand right now, I'm going to lead you in a prayer. And if you need one of those three things that I was pointing out, I would like to ask you to please come down here. These are people that, man, they love God. They pray with people. We see miracles happen all of the time. And if there's any way we can help you, if you fit into any of those categories, and if you need to come and make a commitment, I encourage you to do it. Somebody might say, well, I'm just going to make the commitment standing right here. You know, the Bible says faith without works is dead. And so we aren't asking you to do something big. We're just asking you that if you've, if these things I've said tonight have hit you and you know that you need to make Jesus your Lord, you need to be baptized in the Holy Spirit, or you need to just surrender and make a decision that you aren't going to run your own life. You're turning it over to God. You're going to submit yourself to him. You need to come forward and let someone agree with you. So Father, right now, I just thank you, Father. And I speak these things in the name of the Lord. Thank you for the great things that are happening. Thank you, Father, that I do believe that we are in a great awakening, a great move of God. And Father, thank you also for showing us that it's not going to be just all easy, that there's going to be a lot of resistance.
[01:05:32] There's going to be people that'll pay a price to be a Christian. And I just pray that you prepare people with what I've shared here tonight, that they would recognize that they need to be sold out to you more than ever before, because we're entering into perilous times. So Father, I thank you for the conviction of the Holy Spirit. I ask you to speak to people. And right now that people would respond in the name of Jesus. So if that's you, I want you to start coming forward right now. If you need to come and just say that I need salvation, I need the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I need to make a surrender that I'm going to put God first. I want you to come forward right now. And we've got people that are going to be praying with you. So if that's you, come forward right now. I know this is the right meeting. I know God didn't want me to share this with somebody else. The people here need this.
[01:06:25] And so if God has spoken to you, I want you to come forward and let someone just agree with you.
[01:06:30] Father, we agree and we thank you, Father, that the conviction of the Holy Spirit is touching people's hearts right now. And Father, we receive it. We thank you, Father, that there is a powerful move of God in this nation. Father, thank you for the church attendance going up, Bible sales going up. But Father, we need more than just people in the pews. We need commitment.
[01:06:55] And Father, I'm just thanking you for touching people's hearts. Thank you, Father. We agree. We receive it. And thank you for this in the mighty, mighty name of Jesus. Amen. We're going to be ministering to people all week long. This is just the first night. And we will have prayer ministers up here before every service, after every service. And if you're watching tonight on our live stream, we've got people 24-7 on the phone.
[01:07:25] Call us at 719-635-1111. And we've got people that will pray with you. And I know that there's people watching this that God has touched your heart tonight and you need to respond also. You can do that by calling at number 719-635-1111. So if you've got some more announcements, I'll let Mike and Carrie come back and give you the final announcements.
