The sermon's central thesis is the promotion of the Pentecostal/Charismatic doctrine of a 'Second Blessing,' a post-salvation baptism in the Holy Spirit evidenced by speaking in tongues. This constitutes a critical error, as it undermines the biblical teaching that every believer is definitively baptized by the Spirit into Christ at the moment of regeneration (1 Cor 12:13). The hermeneutic employed misuses the descriptive, transitional history of the book of Acts as a universal prescription for the Church.
