❓ What do these grades mean?
We do not issue this rating to attack the speaker, but to protect the listener. This ministry's overall teaching trend consistently deviates from sound doctrine. As per Romans 16:17, we identify these patterns so believers can guard their hearts.
🧐 Overview
Theological Verdict & Summary
Sermon Summary: A critical examination of a sermon that, while culturally engaging and morally instructive, fundamentally fails to proclaim the saving power of the Gospel, replacing divine grace with human effort and magical thinking.
Pastoral Analysis: This sermon exhibits a severe theological imbalance. While it offers practical advice on family unity and perseverance, it is critically compromised by a complete omission of the Gospel's core message: salvation by grace alone through faith alone. Furthermore, it introduces dangerous charismatic errors regarding spiritual warfare and healing, treating biblical truths as mechanical tools for manipulation rather than gifts of grace. The teaching is spiritually dead, relying on human performance rather than the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit.
Biblical Parallel (Archetype): Sardis — The sermon presents a 'name that it is alive, but is dead' orthodoxy. While it maintains a veneer of biblical language, it fundamentally lacks the life-giving power of the Gospel. By omitting the doctrines of Total Depravity and Monergistic Regeneration, and instead relying on moralistic exhortation and human effort, the teaching is spiritually dead. It substitutes the transformative power of the Holy Spirit with a system of human works and decisionism.
Big Idea: Faith makes the difference in everything, requiring believers to focus their trust on God alone, evidenced by consistent action and unity within the family, as demonstrated by Noah. [01:01:06 ▶️ 📄]
📖 How they Handle Scripture & Jesus
- Primary Text: Genesis 7:1
- Usage Classification: Thematic
- Text-to-Talk Ratio: Low
- Pulpit Decorum: ⚠️ CAUTION - The use of coarse language ('if mama ain't happy') and the framing of spiritual practices as magical incantations detract from the solemnity and reverence due in the pulpit.
✝️ Christological Focus: Moralistic/Imitative
"Christ is presented primarily as a moral example or a source of power for human effort, rather than the Savior who accomplishes redemption. The focus is on imitating Noah's faith or using Jesus' name for power, not on trusting in His finished work."

🧭 Biblical Alignment Dashboard
Overall Verdict: Fundamentally in Error
| Category | Status | Reasoning |
|---|---|---|
| Gospel Presentation | ❌ FAIL | The Gospel Engine is broken. The sermon completely omits the doctrines of Total Depravity, Monergistic Regeneration, and the substitutionary atonement of Christ. It relies on moralistic exhortation and human effort, failing to anchor the congregation's hope in the finished work of Christ rather than their own performance. |
| Soteriology | ❌ FAIL | The sermon promotes a synergistic view of salvation, implying that human faith and action are the primary drivers of spiritual outcome, while omitting the necessity of divine grace and regeneration. |
| Bibliology | ⚠️ WEAK | While Scripture is referenced, it is often interpreted through a lens of moralism or charismatic pragmatism rather than a Christ-centered, redemptive-historical framework. |
| Hermeneutic | ❌ FAIL | The hermeneutic is flawed by treating biblical commands and promises as mechanical incantations or transactional laws, ignoring the context of grace and the sovereignty of God. |
| Theology Proper | ⚠️ WEAK | The view of God is skewed towards a transactional deity who responds to human rituals (fasting, binding/loosing) rather than the sovereign Lord who acts according to His will. |
| Sacramentology | ✅ PASS | No specific sacramental errors were detected in the provided reports. |
| Confessional Depth | ❌ SHALLOW | The teaching lacks depth in core doctrines like justification, sanctification, and the nature of the church, focusing instead on superficial moralism and charismatic experiences. |
⚙️ The Core Gospel Framework
Why it matters for the final verdict: A complete Gospel framework protects a sermon from becoming man-centered. If a preacher gives commands for good behavior but leaves out the grace and atonement of the Gospel, it often results in a 🔴 Critical or 🟠 Major error for Moralism (teaching human self-improvement rather than reliance on Christ). However, if these Gospel elements are missing simply because the pastor is preaching a highly focused, practical message to mature believers (e.g., instructions on biblical marriage), our system applies a "Safe Harbor" pardon, graciously reducing the omission to a 🟡 Minor error.
✅ The Law And Wrath:
"I still believe that if we obey him, he will bless us. And if we disobey him, we'll suffer the consequences." [01:07:30 ▶️ 📄]
❌ Total Depravity And Inability: Not observed in the sermon.
✅ Active Obedience Of Christ:
"God nailed his sinless son to a cursed tree that you and I might be covered by the redeeming power of his shed blood" [01:00:28 ▶️ 📄]
✅ The Cross And Atonement:
"God nailed his sinless son to a cursed tree that you and I might be covered by the redeeming power of his shed blood, and that our sins of scarlet would be washed white as snow." [01:00:28 ▶️ 📄]
⚠️ Theological Concerns
🔴 Critical Gospel Omission (Moralistic Reliance)
Root Cause: Moralism
The Belief/Behavior: The sermon omits the doctrines of Total Depravity, Monergistic Regeneration, and the Gospel's power to save the spiritually dead, relying instead on moralistic exhortation.
Why It's Dangerous: This leaves the congregation without hope, as they are left to rely on their own strength to please God, leading to either pride or despair.
Biblical Correction: Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."
🔴 Critical Charismatic Mysticism and Magical Incantation
Root Cause: Charismatic Mysticism
""[I still believe that fasting and prayer breaks demonic forces. I still believe in sowing and reaping and that it is more blessed to give than it is to receive. I still believe calling on the elders of the church and let them laying hands upon the sick that they might recover. I still believe that signs will follow those who put their faith in him that what they bind on earth will be bound in heaven and what they loose on earth will be loosed in heaven and when they speak the mighty and the matchless name of Jesus that's where hell backs up and heaven shows up]"" [01:13:36 ▶️ 📄]
The Belief/Behavior: The speaker treats fasting as a mechanical exorcism tool and the name of Jesus as a magical incantation to manipulate spiritual realms, contradicting the Reformed doctrine that fasting aids earnest prayer and binding/loosing refers strictly to ecclesiastical discipline.
Why It's Dangerous: This teaches the congregation to view God as a force to be manipulated through specific words or actions, leading to superstition and a lack of trust in God's sovereign will.
Biblical Correction: Matthew 18:18 "Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven,"
🟠 Major False Promise of Miraculous Faith-Healing
Root Cause: Prosperity Gospel
""[If you need faith for healing, we believe in healing. If you need faith for the salvation of your family, will have what you asked for. That's what we're getting ready to practice here.]"" [01:35:17 ▶️ 📄]
The Belief/Behavior: The speaker promises miraculous, immediate healing contingent upon the prayer of faith and believer agreement, falsely asserting a scriptural guarantee for physical healing devoid of natural means or God's sovereign timing.
Why It's Dangerous: This sets the congregation up for disappointment and spiritual crisis when healing does not occur, as they are led to believe their lack of faith was the cause.
Biblical Correction: James 5:15 "And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him,"
🟡 Minor Transactional Sowing and Reaping
Root Cause: Prosperity Gospel
""[I still believe in sowing and reaping and that it is more blessed to give than it is to receive.]"" [01:13:42 ▶️ 📄]
The Belief/Behavior: The speaker presents sowing and reaping as an autonomous transactional law guaranteeing earthly blessings for financial giving, rather than a manifestation of God's sovereign and unmerited providence.
Why It's Dangerous: This reduces giving to a business transaction, encouraging selfish motives and a lack of cheerful generosity.
Biblical Correction: 2 Corinthians 9:7 "Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver,"
✅ Commendations
Pastoral Application | Family Unity and Spousal Support
The sermon offers practical, relatable advice on the importance of spousal unity and the impact of parental consistency on children. The illustration of the mother supporting the father's vision is a strong, positive application for family dynamics.
Cultural Awareness | Recognition of Cultural Shifts
The pastor correctly identifies the need for believers to be aware of cultural shifts and to stand firm in their faith amidst opposition, drawing a valid parallel to Noah's generation.

[00:21:06] If you believe you're more than a conqueror, can you say amen?
[00:21:09] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_05]
[00:21:09] Thank you Jesus.
[00:21:23] In valley places of death, dead have Jesus' name.

[00:33:46] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_06]
[00:33:46] blood for my sin, but you didn't stay crucified. You came back to life, giving us victory. So God, how could we not sing holy, holy, holy, worthy is the lamb. So God, may that be the song of our

[00:34:43] I'm in the sixth grade.
[00:34:44] I'm in fourth grade.
[00:34:45] I'm in ninth grade.
[00:34:46] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_01]
[00:34:46] And I'm a sophomore here at Cornerstone, and I had an amazing time at youth camp.
[00:34:51] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_10]
[00:34:51] I'm really happy to be here.
[00:35:07] It's my first year at camp, and I felt like the praise and worship really touched me and just made me feel so good, especially praying with the younger ones.
[00:35:14] It just makes them feel so well.
[00:35:16] It makes me feel all happy.
[00:35:18] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_03]
[00:35:18] Like you worshiping with the friends, praying for other people, you could feel
[00:35:23] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[00:35:23] the gospel go through you. One of my favorite things I did at camp was definitely praise and worship because the Lord like touched me, He moved to me.
[00:35:33] This is my first camp and one thing that God did for me at this camp is that He helped me when I was afraid and for me as a sisterhood, to come and worship with me. It's really touched my heart and moved me with this word. It's to help me be able
[00:35:51] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_10]
[00:35:51] to pray for other little kids and to help them go through their life. Like, I just, I love being
[00:35:55] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_00]
[00:35:55] here. After that one summer camp, I told my mom and dad, I never want to miss a camp ever, and
[00:36:02] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_01]
[00:36:02] it's such a blast. Guys, God really did it. Please, next summer camp, please, I want to see everybody here that's my age. I don't care if you're a freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, or whatever, bro.
[00:36:15] I want to see y'all here.
[00:36:16] Let's do it.
[00:36:18] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[00:36:18] Cornerstone family, we are wrapping up our week of VBS, but that's not everything.
[00:36:22] There's more this summer.

[00:36:45] All 50 states are tuned in today.
[00:36:47] So congregation, would you make welcome those who are joining us in our online audience?
[00:36:55] As you saw in our announcements, we have a very busy and active summer plan for your children, for middle school, high school, elementary. There's something for everyone at one of our summer camps. The best news about summer camps is they get to go and you don't have to.
[00:37:10] So if you're looking for an opportunity to just send your kids away, give them to us and we'll take them to summer camp but it's a wonderful way to help them engage and be a part of the things
[00:37:22] that are happening here at cornerstone you can find out more information about all of those camps that are going to be taking place throughout the summer at sacornerstone.org and speaking of successful events for young people this past week tuesday wednesday thursday we had a wonderful
[00:37:39] vacation bible school here on our campus over 2 000 kids came each and every day more than 400 people volunteered. And some of those volunteers were in their eighties. We had an 80 year old
[00:37:54] nurse over in our clinic who was volunteering. And she said, you are right. She said, as long as you're volunteering, you live a good long life. So I'm just telling you, there's proof right there
[00:38:03] that volunteers live longer, but it was a wonderful event. And I want to thank each and every person who committed their time to making it a success. We had over 119 first time salvations and baptisms
[00:38:18] and it was a fantastic way to celebrate the start of our summer.
[00:38:24] Dad, speaking of young people and faith, a lot of people might believe that the next generation is losing ground, but you were sharing with me some things that you came across the other day that say something totally different.
[00:38:40] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_13]
[00:38:40] The headlines this week have this headline, Young men are returning to church, and it could reshape America's future.
[00:38:50] Think about that.
[00:38:55] A Gallup poll has found that 42% of the young men in America say faith is very important to their lives, and that's the highest number in the last 25 years.
[00:39:10] The Barna Research Group says Generation Z are now attending more frequently than any generation in America.
[00:39:26] This is a historical revival.
[00:39:29] This people calling this, not preachers, these polled people are saying this is a spiritual, historical reversal happening in America right now.
[00:39:42] and they were honest enough to know to say at the end we don't know what's causing this it must be the free coffee yeah the young people of america are rejecting the lies of the communism and socialism and anti-semitism and they're reaching out to god almighty
[00:40:17] they are having a revival and the revival is here thank God the way that we accomplish the
[00:40:30] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_14]

[00:41:19] hath made and we rejoice and are made glad in it. We thank you, Father, for the good news of the revival that's coming to America's young people, that they are rejecting the moral filth of the world for the righteousness of God our Father, and that the righteous telecasting that
[00:41:40] we have been doing has been a part of reviving this nation and bringing us back to God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Let us rejoice and be glad today because God is the
[00:41:55] almighty, all-knowing, everlasting source of our truth. Amen and amen. Your praying and your giving
[00:42:20] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_12]
[00:42:20] is making an eternal impact. We thank you for partnering with us to take all the gospel to all the world and every generation let god arise and his enemies be scattered as you are hearing the
[00:42:33] report from our founding pastor john heggie there is a rise there is a shift there is a revival happening in our young generation that is calling us to seek the face of god right now we're praying
[00:42:47] for shirley we're praying that the hand of god would be upon her as she's believing for transportation for her and her family. William, we are connecting and believing that healing will come upon you and your family as you are experiencing sickness in the household. Richard,
[00:43:06] in Jesus name, we agree with you for protection, provision, the presence of God over you and your entire family. Suzanne, we are asking that the hand of the Lord would sustain you and keep you,
[00:43:20] provide strength and healing as you go through a time of recovery in the mighty name of jesus we pray that the hand of god would restore your body in jesus name we're praying for everyone
[00:43:34] that has submitted prayer requests for high blood pressure uh problems with uh circulation of blood in jesus name we are praying that the spirit of the lord would come upon you in a mighty way there's a lot of prayer requests for financial needs father in
[00:43:54] jesus name be the great supplier we thank you in jesus name amen let's go back to service
[00:44:00] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_14]
[00:44:00] you would please stand for the reading of god's word and if you brought your bibles turn them to the book of genesis to the seventh chapter in the first verse as this morning we continue
[00:56:20] in the sermon series finding faith in the flood with this message faith makes the difference last week we considered how God divinely warned Noah a hundred years in advance of judgment that in order to survive what was coming Noah would need to build an ark how did Noah do it
[00:56:42] simple by faith there was no youtube master class on boat building there was no DIY Why devilish day at Home Depot?
[00:56:59] God told Noah to do something that no one had ever seen done before.
[00:57:03] And without any knowledge or insight about how to accomplish it, simply by having faith in what God said, Noah began to behave like he believed and it saved his whole family.
[00:57:18] Noah endured a hundred years of ridicule from his friends and neighbors in his hometown.
[00:57:25] but choosing to look ridiculous and taking the risk to live based on God's word he redeemed his whole household Noah had to work the ark didn't magically appear he literally had to go cut down the trees and make the boards and do the things that were necessary but when the fountains
[00:57:45] of the deep opened up and men began to run for their lives Noah and the most precious people on the face of the earth to him were safe inside the ark today we're going to discover how faith
[00:57:59] makes the difference and we begin reading in genesis chapter 7 verse 1 if you're there say amen then the lord said to noah come into the ark you and all your household because i have seen
[00:58:16] that you are righteous before me in this generation.
[00:58:21] Heavenly Father, today as we read your word, let your Holy Spirit speak to our hearts that we would discover how important and powerful it is to put our faith in you and you alone because your word is alive and powerful
[00:58:38] and will not return void.
[00:58:40] And all those who have their trust and faith in you will never be put to shame.
[00:58:44] in Jesus name we pray and ask to all of God's children said praise the Lord you may be seated last week when we looked at the days of Noah we considered the words of Jesus Christ and how he
[00:58:59] said that the similarities of Noah's day and our day would be the environment in which he would return in Noah's generation the Lord looked on the wickedness of all of mankind and he was grieved
[00:59:13] that he had made man. How do you believe God looks on this generation that exists as if God and his word are impotent? We are a generation that knows what the Bible says. We just don't do
[00:59:27] what it tells us to do. We are a generation that loves to put a premium on comfort and will run from inconvenient things like commitment. We're a generation that is into serving ourselves rather than being of service to the God who created us.
[00:59:46] And just as Noah heard a warning from the Lord and built an ark in faith before the flood, you and I must put on our ears of faith and listen to what the word of God says
[00:59:57] because if Jesus said the way it was in Noah's day is the way it's gonna be in your day, you must pay attention to the world around us and recognize something is about to change.
[01:00:10] When Noah heard the word of the Lord, Noah went about building an ark.
[01:00:14] God, our Father in heaven, gave you and I an ark, and Jesus Christ is his name.
[01:00:21] Noah cut down gopher wood, and he stacked the board so that he could accomplish what needed to be done.
[01:00:28] God nailed his sinless son to a cursed tree that you and I might be covered by the redeeming power of his shed blood, and that our sins of scarlet would be washed white as snow.
[01:00:39] Noah built an ark and when judgment came, he and his family were saved. Jesus Christ is our ark.
[01:00:47] And when judgment comes on this earth, it is by his blood, by his grace, and by his mercy that we are saved. And as powerful as his salvation is, what you need to know today
[01:01:06] is faith makes the difference. Say that with me. Faith makes the difference.
[01:01:13] you can have the greatest thing in the world available to you but if you don't have faith in it it won't work for you without faith it is impossible to please God faith makes the
[01:01:29] difference in everything faith makes the difference in family what was it about Noah's family that got on the ark faith hey has dad ever built a boat before don't think so you think this one will work
[01:01:49] yeah why not let's try how do you know that noah's family had faith in noah they got on board how do you know that noah's wife believed in noah he got to build a boat trust me if mama ain't
[01:02:10] happy ain't nobody happy and if you get to build a boat in your front yard for a hundred years she's with you when it comes to family there's all kinds of things that we foolishly compare
[01:02:25] between families in the world we live in today.
[01:02:30] But faith is what makes the difference.
[01:02:34] Families will sometimes compare economic and financial status.
[01:02:37] Oh, they come from money, or this family doesn't.
[01:02:42] They'll compare educational status.
[01:02:44] Well, they've all gone to great schools and gotten lots of degrees.
[01:02:49] They'll compare culture.
[01:02:53] In my family, there's a lot of culture.
[01:02:56] My mom's side of the family, Mexicanos.
[01:02:59] yeah i mean they'll shout about anything just hearing mexicanos and they're like yeah dad's side of the family german they just see and it really doesn't matter what you choose to compare yourself on finances education culture whatever it may be all of those things are very
[01:03:32] shallow and superficial when it comes to what holds families together you can hold a family only so long with golden handcuffs but the second that the money runs out in the bank account find out where the love is what holds a family together is not resources what holds a family together
[01:03:52] is they support each other they encourage one another they cheer for one another they take on challenges together they meet needs because that's family education is important but do you want to know what's really worth knowing who you can trust in and who has your back and who you
[01:04:11] can count on to speak truth and love into your life. You don't need to know everything that you can get in a graduate degree if you know where you can go when you need a refuge from the stress
[01:04:22] and the struggle of this world. No matter what's going on, when they see you coming, they open up their arms and receive you in because that's family. Culture can certainly shape and define areas of your life, but something that is much more powerful than culture is knowing the
[01:04:42] commitment that comes from those who love you unconditionally. If the United States is going to truly have the revival that we're praying for and we're seeing in young people, do you know where that foundation is going to be built? Not just on faith, but on family. Because when God
[01:05:00] created the heavens and the earth, he started with the family. When it comes to family, faith makes the difference because money will run out, but faith will pull you through hard times and keep you together. Education will provide only a few answers, but faith will give you peace when
[01:05:21] your answers are gone. Culture will cause you to go crazy, cry, pray, have fun, and be frustrated.
[01:05:30] but whenever faith is the common bond, your family will endure. Noah had faith in his life.
[01:05:42] That's what we read last week in Hebrews 11. It said, by faith, Noah. Say that with me. By faith, Noah. Before he had anything else, he had faith. And we know he had faith because all God told him
[01:05:58] to do was build an ark, and then 100 years later, it was done. God didn't give him a manual that showed up in the mail with instructions written in four languages. He just said, do it. The Bible
[01:06:14] tells us that Noah found grace in God's eyes. Why? Because he had faith. Without faith, it is impossible to please him. What does it mean to have faith? We can complicate that thought oftentimes whenever people want to start discussing this topic but simply stated
[01:06:32] my definition is that when the world didn't believe Noah said I still believe Noah had enough heritage in his household through his grandfather Methuselah and through his great grandfather Enoch and through his great great grandfather Seth that somebody told him about
[01:06:50] Adam and Eve and somebody told him about the garden of Eden and somebody told him about a God who created heaven and earth in six days and on the seventh day he rested and when the rest of
[01:07:01] the world said Noah we don't believe in those old stories anymore Noah said I still believe I still believe that God created the heavens and the earth I still believe that he breathed into dust and man
[01:07:15] became a living being I still believe that his design is for man and woman to be joined together because she is his helpmate.
[01:07:23] I still believe that he commanded us to be fruitful and multiply and have dominion over the earth and subdue it.
[01:07:30] I still believe that if we obey him, he will bless us.
[01:07:34] And if we disobey him, we'll suffer the consequences.
[01:07:38] You see, Noah had faith even when all around him were disobedient.
[01:07:42] He still kept God's promises even when others didn't act as if they existed.
[01:07:49] When the world said, Noah, you're a fool.
[01:07:52] he said I still believe when they said quit cutting down trees you're killing the environment he said I still believe when they talked about him behind his back when he was walking to and from his job site covered in sawdust from the sweat of the day when they made jokes at his
[01:08:19] expense and he heard them snicker Noah had faith in God and faith makes the difference where is your faith today everybody has faith in something I mean for about three and a half quarters most of you had faith in one thing last night what are you going to do next week there's
[01:08:48] only one place that you can put faith and faith won't fail having faith is not enough it's the focus of your faith and when it comes to focusing your faith make sure you put your faith in
[01:09:01] something that will not fail. If you focus your faith on wealth, wealth will fail. If you focus your faith on education, education will fail. If you focus your faith on your natural strengths and abilities, sooner or later you will run out of strength and ability. But if you focus your
[01:09:19] faith on God, you need to know that God will never fail. That is why Jesus said, have faith in God.
[01:09:27] have faith in God have faith in God why God never fails where's your faith in this world that's filled with cynicism where's your faith when somebody asks you do you go to church I see people get confronted with that question and they act like somebody threw a snake in their lap
[01:09:52] do you go to church well sometimes when they ask you why do you believe tell him because he's never failed me do you go to church absolutely it's the lord's day sooner or later the world the flesh and the devil will try to get you to quit trusting in the god
[01:10:17] of your salvation but whenever they come and try what you need to do is like noah say i still believe i still believe that he is the way he is the truth and he is the life i still believe that
[01:10:31] if others forsake him, I will follow him. I still believe that he has the power to make all things new. I still believe he can move mountains. He can heal the sick. He can make a way where there
[01:10:44] seems to be no way. Don't give up when other people ask you to quit. When quit looks good, double down and try harder because they who endure to the end, the same shall be saved.
[01:10:56] when the world of darkness asks you to turn down your light turn it up what you need to know and expect in this life is that if you are shining for Jesus Christ you are going to bother people
[01:11:17] don't be upset when your light offends them how many have you ever woken up a sleeping child have you ever turned on the light in their dark room and they went thank you what a treat no
[01:11:37] if you've been acclimated to darkness what does light do well you need to know until somebody sees you coming with you're not shining bright enough in this world like the days of noah we live in a time where men are doing anything that they please and when they see somebody who lives
[01:12:01] with conviction they have an adverse reaction to them don't let their reaction determine the outcome of your faith. They ridicule you for praying, pray harder. They ridicule you for singing, sing louder. They don't like the way you clap, clap twice as much. Let everything you do
[01:12:35] be an outward demonstration of what you believe. Because when the world sees you behaving like you believe, at least you like Noah will point them to the ark. There was more than enough room for
[01:12:49] everybody to get on the ark, but only eight got on. Why? Because eight had faith. Where's your faith today? I still believe church. I still believe that there is only one name under heaven, which by we might be saved. And that is the matchless name of Jesus Christ. I still believe
[01:13:19] that he is the way he is the truth. He is the life. I still believe in the preaching of salvation through the cross and his shed blood.
[01:13:28] I believe what Paul wrote when he said, God forbid that I should boast, save in the cross of Jesus Christ my Lord.
[01:13:36] I still believe that fasting and prayer breaks demonic forces.
[01:13:41] I still believe in sowing and reaping and that it is more blessed to give than it is to receive.
[01:13:47] I still believe calling on the elders of the church and let them laying hands upon the sick that they might recover.
[01:13:54] I still believe that signs will follow those who put their faith in him that what they bind on earth will be bound in heaven and what they loose on earth will be loosed in heaven and when they
[01:14:06] speak the mighty and the matchless name of Jesus that's where hell backs up and heaven shows up church I still believe no matter what the world has to say about it I still believe even if it's
[01:14:19] politically incorrect. I still believe in if they call me insensitive and non-inclusive. As long as God, my father in heaven, calls me his, then I still believe that he is the way, he is the truth,
[01:14:34] and he is the life. Faith makes the difference in everything you do. Faithful fathers make the difference. Look at the resume of Noah in scripture. From Genesis all the way through the last books of the new testament noah's name is consistently mentioned why because by faith he
[01:15:03] saved his family genesis 7 and 1 what does the lord say to noah you and your entire household what a testimony he didn't preach to stadiums of thousands and win strangers he preached to a
[01:15:20] living room of seven and got them all verse 13 it says on that very day noah and noah's sons and Noah's wives and the three wives of his sons entered the ark with him last week in Hebrews 11
[01:15:36] Noah being divinely worn prepared an ark for the saving of his household in second Peter chapter two it says that God did not spare the ancient world but he did save Noah a preacher of righteousness
[01:15:50] one of eight if you spent a hundred years in ministry and the only thing that you have to show for it at the end of those hundred years are eight lives. You're probably not going to
[01:16:06] brag at the minister's convention. But today in eternity, there is one preacher who preached for a hundred years and everybody he won to Christ was the whole world. Who were the seven? His sons, his wife, and his family. The message of Noah's life is very clear that every person, every father
[01:16:33] in this room is preaching a sermon every day with the life that you live in front of your family.
[01:16:39] It's not a sermon of text. It's not a sermon of homiletics and hermeneutics and dynamic speaking. It's a sermon of action and attitude and behavior. For 500 years, Noah's sons watched Noah live his life faithfully before God, and then God called Noah to build an ark when he
[01:16:59] was 500 years old. Those of you who think you're too old to do something, try building a boat.
[01:17:05] in your fifth century. And then Noah's sons watched him for 100 years. Each and every day, get up and go to work doing what God had told him to do. They may not have understood why Noah was
[01:17:21] doing it. Noah didn't understand why he was doing it. But the consistency of Noah's faithfulness is why they did it. Sometimes your kids aren't going to understand why you behave the way you behave. That's just fine. Keep behaving the way you should behave. Do what you do so consistently
[01:17:43] that they get used to it. People ask me all the time, did you ever think it was strange to go to church? Where else would we go? They ask me, do you think that, you know, it's hard to get kids
[01:18:03] to say sir and ma'am? What other choice do they have? Consistency makes the difference. Your kids are not always going to feel like doing it, but your consistency makes the difference. Noah was so consistent that the example that he set for his sons caused them to build their faith. Dad,
[01:18:30] what kind of example are you setting for your children? Are you consistent and faithful or do you behave like God exists in public and then betray your faith in private? Do your actions and your words compliment each other or do they cancel each other out? What kind of sermon are
[01:18:48] you preaching to your children behind closed doors at home with the behavior of your life do your kids get excited to see you thinking about going to church or does mom have to drag all of you out the door and you're the anchor at the end of the rope do your kids see you come into
[01:19:10] God's house as the bible says with praise and thanksgiving or do they see you coming in stuffy stubborn and looking forward to lunch. You need to understand that this is God's house and this is God's day. And we are honored to be invited into his presence. We live in a world that is
[01:19:38] so self-centered and self-focused that we actually think when we show up at the sanctuary, God goes, wow, you made it. He's God. He doesn't need us. He's God. He created us. And if he wanted to start
[01:19:54] over he could snap his fingers and do it just like that but God doesn't need you the best part is God wants you he wants you in his presence he wants to have communion with you he wants to fellowship
[01:20:08] with you and when you come to his house you should come with praise and thanksgiving because he's the one who gave you the breath of life which is why David said let everything that has breath praise
[01:20:22] the Lord, enter into his gates with thanksgiving and into his courts with praise, because he is the God who made us and not we ourselves. He is the one in whom we live and we move and we have
[01:20:34] our being. He is the one who gives you the power to get wealth. He is the one whose promises are better than life. He is the one whose word will be his help to your navel and marrow to your bone
[01:20:45] church. There isn't one thing we can do without him. So while we're here with him, why don't we take a little time and thank him for who he is and what he has done. There should be some things
[01:21:08] in your life that are so peculiar that when your kids get curious about why you do it, you can say because of God. Dad, why do you raise your hands when you worship? Because he's worthy of my praise.
[01:21:28] Why do you clap and shout amen at church? Because he's just that good. People say, well, I don't want to be fanatic. Let me remind you about the three and a half quarters of your life
[01:21:48] last night. And I would probably make a pretty good assumption that for about three and a half quarters, you were praising and you were worshiping and you were shouting because for three and a half quarters, it looked like those you had faith in might be good. And then reality
[01:22:33] set in. And for the last half of the quarter, you acted like you were at first service. Now, I'm just saying, if what you believed in last night was the reason that you had breath in your
[01:23:01] lungs, I'd be all right with that. But what you're here to do today is actually give praise and honor to the one who created you and holds you in the palm of his hands. And I think that he deserves
[01:23:19] just a little bit more praise and a little bit more honor and a little bit more glory because he's never failed you. He's always kept you. He's always been good to you.
[01:23:40] When you didn't see which way it was going, he did. When you didn't know how to steer the ark, he could. When you couldn't make a way, he moved mountains. When you couldn't fight the enemy,
[01:23:51] he defeated them. When you were bound in chains, he broke them. And whom the son sets free is free indeed. Church, that kind of God deserves a shout of praise. There ought to be things in your life
[01:24:15] that are so peculiar that when people get curious about it, you can introduce them to the reason.
[01:24:22] Faith makes the difference. Not only do faithful fathers make the difference, but faithful mothers make the difference. How do you know? The Bible says clearly, a house divided against itself cannot stand. I knew this in my house all the days of my life. If mom and dad were on the same page,
[01:24:46] five kids were done. But if there was any division, the five saboteurs were at work.
[01:25:02] Don't think that your house is any different. If your kids see one fraction of an inch, they will find a way to get between it and be like well dad said I don't have to take out the trash
[01:25:14] I don't recommend that strategy it's not very effective speaking from experience how do we know that Noah's family was united because all of them got on the ark and how do we know that all
[01:25:39] of them got on the ark not because the bible says so but because somewhere in that hundred years when everything was against Noah mom was still for Noah when the boys came home and they're like I
[01:25:52] don't want to go back to work mom said you need to go with your dad he needs your help whenever the world was against him and making fun of him and they said Noah you're a fool mom said I believe
[01:26:05] in you Noah when quit looked good he kept building why because he had somebody back at the house that kept him full of hope and expectation of an outcome. The whole world can be against you,
[01:26:19] but if home is for you, you can fight the world. For 100 years, Noah did what was unseen and what was unthinkable. How? Because what Noah had at home was a wife that supported the vision that
[01:26:36] God had given him. He came home covered in sawdust. His wife didn't go, oh, all that dirt in the house changing the yard he came home from the toil of his work and she said he's back come on in the
[01:26:57] tacos are ready this is my story I'll tell it how I want to faithful mothers make the difference mom what kind of support do you give to dad at home when he says I believe God do you say I
[01:27:20] believe in you when he says I'm working on this building do you say keep going we're with you or do you take the time to point out all of his faults and failures in front of your children so
[01:27:34] that they can use it as ammunition against him in the future faith makes the difference not just in mothers and fathers but faith makes the difference in sons and daughters how do we know that ham
[01:27:46] sham and japheth had faith they got on the boat i mean they worked on it for a hundred years when the day came they could have said hey dad look we really enjoyed this project but we're gonna yeah
[01:27:58] you and mom have a good time they didn't do that they all went with them because they had faith ham sham and japheth didn't have perfect parents but they believed in the parents they had one of
[01:28:21] the things that the bible says in the book of malachi is that god is going to turn the hearts of fathers to sons and the hearts of sons to fathers before the coming of the son of the lord
[01:28:29] and what that speaks about is the restoration of family and one of the challenges that we have in this generation is that we have a generation that is so self-entitled that we love to look
[01:28:44] at everyone's faults and we forget about all of the things that they did to bless us.
[01:28:50] We want to highlight what they did wrong and we want to erase all that they did right.
[01:28:57] That's not how the Bible works. The Bible says, honor your father and mother. Well, you don't know what they did to me. They let you live. I mean, you obviously got here with somebody's help. Think about it. Where would you be without them? And the Bible gives you this
[01:29:22] statement with that promise, honor your father and mother that it may be well with you and that you will live long on the earth. Faith makes the difference. And the story of Noah and the ark
[01:29:39] and his faithfulness and his family's faithfulness is simply this. We all have work to do. We all have work to do. Noah wasn't so heavenly minded. He was no earthly good. God told him to build an
[01:29:56] ark, and he didn't sit on his porch waiting for the boat to show up. He didn't start proclaiming it. Yea, verily, the boat. No, he didn't speak it. He worked it. The Bible says faith without works
[01:30:18] is what? Dead. And one of the reasons why we have a generation that is searching for faith is because they've heard people talk faith but not walk and work faith.
[01:30:28] We all have work to do.
[01:30:31] Noah believed in God and Noah went to work doing it.
[01:30:34] He didn't know what he was doing, but he went to work doing it.
[01:30:37] Sometimes the best thing that you can do when you don't know what to do is just go to work.
[01:30:43] Recently, I heard Pastor Hagee sharing a testimony of how this ministry started in television.
[01:30:49] And he told them how he acquired the equipment and he told them how he acquired the antenna and he told them how he had put together his first studio.
[01:30:57] What he forgot to tell them is that he did all that before he had a license to broadcast.
[01:31:09] And he called the thing global evangelism.
[01:31:13] We couldn't send a signal outside the parking lot, but he called it global evangelism.
[01:31:24] And you sit there and go, that's crazy.
[01:31:28] Let me tell you something about faith.
[01:31:30] Faith will never make you look foolish.
[01:31:34] He didn't get on television because he wanted to go there.
[01:31:38] He got on television because he believed God called him there.
[01:31:42] And when God called him there, he went to work doing what needed to be done in order to get there.
[01:31:48] And all of the sudden, with all of the right things in the right place, the cameras, the antennas, and all of these things, God made a way for the license to be in our hands.
[01:31:59] and in less than a few months we went from outside the parking lot to all across the city to all across the nation and 48 years later there are 75 nations and all 50 states watching this message
[01:32:13] right now well what was the strategic plan there was no strategic plan he just went to work sometimes you have to just do what God is calling you to do and let God do the rest if you have to
[01:32:38] have it all planned out, it's going to be a lot less than what God can do with it. Because your ways are not his ways. And the way that he does things is beyond what you can ask, what you can
[01:32:50] think, what you can imagine. So just do what he calls you to do. You can't claim God's promises and not behave like you're believing. You have to do what his word says to do. Because God is
[01:33:09] faithful. The Bible says even when we aren't faithful, he remains faithful because he cannot deny himself. Church, faith makes the difference. I close with this. We've been promised over and over in the word of God that a flood of judgment is coming. I believe we're closer than we've ever
[01:33:41] been before. And what I want to ask you this morning is where is your faith? If your faith is in the things of this world, they're going to get swept away. But if your faith is in a God
[01:33:59] who is immovable and a God whose truth and his word endures forever and a God whose promises never fail, then the focus of your faith is going to get you out of the flood. And God in his grace
[01:34:19] is going to keep you and show you the joy of your salvation. I want you to stand right where you are.
[01:34:31] I'm going to call our pastors to the altar this morning because I believe that there are many people in this room that need somebody to join their faith with yours.
[01:34:44] So pastors and leaders, while you're coming this way, they're going to line this altar and I'm going to ask those of you who want to have prayer and end this service by receiving what the Bible calls the prayer of faith
[01:34:56] to line up in this altar and in this aisle and this aisle and we're going to give you the opportunity to put your faith to practice. Faith without works is what? So the Bible says, any two of you agreeing concerning anything in faith, believing
[01:35:17] will have what you asked for. That's what we're getting ready to practice here. So if you need faith for healing, we believe in healing. If you need faith for the salvation of your family, we believe in salvation. If you need faith for a breakthrough, it doesn't matter what you need
[01:35:31] today by faith I believe God can answer it and so if you want to receive prayer with the leaders of this church I want you to line up in this aisle and in this aisle and you can start walking there
[01:35:42] now the ushers will direct you we're going to give these folks the opportunity to be prayed for we're going to dismiss those of you who need to leave I encourage you to do that those of you who
[01:35:58] want to stay and remain in an atmosphere of worship you're encouraged to do the same but Those of you who want to receive prayer while we sing, I want you to begin lining up where you need to be.
[01:36:09] Sing with me.
[01:36:09] Lord, whatever you're doing in this season, don't do it without me.
[01:36:22] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_05]
[01:36:22] Don't do it without me.
[01:36:25] I'm asking you, Lord, whatever you're doing in this season, don't, don't.
[01:36:39] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_14]
[01:36:39] receive prayer if you'd like to stay and receive prayer you're welcome to do that as well
[01:37:23] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_13]
[01:37:23] and for the blessing and now may the lord bless you and may the lord keep you and may the lord make his face to shine upon you and may the lord be gracious unto you and give you peace

[01:37:53] Receive this blessing in Jesus' name.
[01:37:56] Amen.

[01:39:42] You're watching Hagee Ministries.
[01:39:45] Don't go away.
[01:39:47] Here's more teaching from the Word of God.
[01:39:48] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_14]
[01:39:48] Hello and welcome to the conclusion of our conversation about Romans chapter 9.
[01:39:56] The good news is there's only one verse left.
[01:40:01] However, there's a lot to say in this one verse.
[01:40:05] This is the fulfillment and the culmination of Paul's opening to his position based under the influence of the Holy Spirit on God's relationship with Israel.
[01:40:21] One, that God keeps his covenant.
[01:40:25] He doesn't break them.
[01:40:27] And that's an important thing for you to understand whenever you meet somebody who wants to espouse to the ideas of replacement theology.
[01:40:38] And the reason why you need to know that God doesn't break his covenant is not only because his word says he does not, he keeps it to a thousand generations.
[01:40:51] But if God was a covenant breaker, what confidence, what faith, what hope do you have in the covenant that he makes with you?
[01:41:04] There's a lot to say about love. And so many times we talk about the Greek definitions of the word love. And we use words like agape love, which is unconditional love. And we use words
[01:41:18] like eros love, which is erotic and lustful. And we use words like phileo, which is friendly and brotherly and self and all of these other different kinds of things. But there's one love that's farther and deeper than any other kind of love, and that is the covenant love of God.
[01:41:39] Why? Because it goes beyond anything you can fathom. God loves us so much that while we were yet sinners, he died for us. Romans chapter 5 verse 8. So God doesn't break covenant. People who believe in replacement theology accuse God of breaking covenant. God still loves the nation
[01:42:11] of Israel and he loves the whole world so much that he sent them his only begotten son. How did he send his son? Through Israel. So up to this point in our discussion, we have discussed how
[01:42:30] God's sovereign and divine plan has picked who he has picked, chosen who he has chosen for his divine purpose to bring about a relationship with him and that those who are of the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob had not received Christ because they did not
[01:42:58] seek it by faith, but as it were by the works of the law, for they stumbled at that stumbling stone. The law for them was a stumbling stone. Why? Because the law said that the sacrifice for
[01:43:21] sin was a lamb. And it was very specific, a spotless lamb, a male lamb, and that it was to be sacrificed for the remission of sin. As it were written, behold, I lay in Zion, a stumbling stone
[01:43:45] and a rock of offense. And whoever believes on him will not be put to shame. Wait a second.
[01:43:59] Verse 32, the law is a stumbling stone. Verse 33, him is a stumbling stone.
[01:44:10] Well, for Christians, we know who him is.
[01:44:16] Peter writes in just a few books later that he uses the same reference of the same verse, that Christ is the cornerstone, precious and elect in Zion, that the stone that the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone.
[01:44:32] This church, the platform that I'm sitting on is cornerstone church, which means that it's the church of Jesus Christ.
[01:44:40] so when we read him a cornerstone a stumbling stone no problem but for a Jew problem what did John chapter 1 say in the beginning was the word the law was the word the prophets spoke
[01:45:12] the word. The stumbling stone in verse 32 is the word. The stumbling stone in verse 33 is the word made flesh. If you're a Jew, that's a problem because you'll have no graven images.
[01:45:40] You want me to believe that the sacred word of God that was given by God on Sinai to Moses and tablets of stone is now wearing skin, that's hard to believe. That actually requires faith.
[01:46:02] And the reason why they did not believe that Jesus Christ was the word, that he had become the sacrifice for all, is because they felt, based on what they saw, that he was Messiah.
[01:46:22] now again modern Christians Sunday school Christians Christmas and Easter Christians American and apple pie Christians he's Messiah we sing songs Jesus Messiah beautiful songs I'm not saying a negative thing about the song it's not hard for us to see him as the cornerstone and
[01:46:50] it's not hard for us to see him as Messiah and that's because we look back at Jesus they were looking forward to Jesus, but the Jesus they were looking forward to was a Jesus who would reign for
[01:47:02] a thousand years. That's what the disciples were arguing about in the upper room. James and John, who's going to sit on your right hand and your left hand? When you kick Rome out of town,
[01:47:18] am I the vice president and he's the secretary of state or is he the secretary of war or do I get this position in the cabinet, when are we going to make Israel great again? They had a political
[01:47:30] agenda. They didn't have a spiritual one. When they lined the streets during the triumphal entry that you read about in the gospels and they're waving palm branches and they're shouting Hosanna, blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. We use that as part of our Easter celebration,
[01:47:48] but we don't give it the proper context in its day.
[01:47:53] One, when did that happen?
[01:47:56] It happened at the beginning of Passover.
[01:47:59] What is Passover for the Jewish faith?
[01:48:03] Passover for the Jewish faith is the 4th of July to Americans.
[01:48:08] It's the day they won their independence.
[01:48:11] It's the day they fly the flag and they remember that God brought them out of bondage in Egypt and God crushed Pharaoh and God delivered and God established and God gave.
[01:48:26] So here comes Jesus of Nazareth.
[01:48:30] He's made the blind see.
[01:48:33] That's a sign of Messiah according to the prophets.
[01:48:37] He's made the lame leap.
[01:48:39] That's a sign of Messiah according to the prophets.
[01:48:43] He's made the dead live again.
[01:48:45] That's a sign of Messiah according to the prophets.
[01:48:49] He's fed 5,000.
[01:48:51] He's got power.
[01:48:52] He's walked on water.
[01:48:54] He's cast out demons.
[01:48:56] This has got to be the guy.
[01:48:59] Here comes Moses 2.0.
[01:49:03] Just like Moses kicked out Pharaoh, Jesus is gonna kick out Rome.
[01:49:10] And they're waving palm branches.
[01:49:15] And again, Sunday school perspective, oh, a palm branch is a theme of peace, kumbaya.
[01:49:24] No, it's not.
[01:49:25] a palm branch was a sign of political protest. Why? Because if you were a devout and righteous Jew, you would not bear the image of a man on anything that you had. What's the commandment
[01:49:45] say? Thou shall have no graven images. Roman money had the image of Caesar. His face was on the coin. Every Jew hated the fact that they had to exchange Roman coins with the face of a man.
[01:50:10] It was sacrilegious. It was unholy. Even today, Jewish shekels have a pomegranate. They have a palm branch. They have a date palm. They have a symbol of a natural thing, a plant, an animal, something that God made, because if God made it, it's sacred. But if we made it, it's not.
[01:50:36] And so when they're waving palm branches, they're not singing kumbaya, let's all get along.
[01:50:42] They're waving palm branches, shouting Hosanna, because they're telling the Romans, our guy has just showed up. He's the right guy. It's the right time. Pack your bags. You're leaving. And then Thursday night into Friday morning, he's arrested. Word begins to spread.
[01:51:09] Hey, did you hear Jesus got arrested? What? The guy who can raise the dead? He's arrested? Yeah.
[01:51:21] The guy who walked on water? The one who's got all this power. I mean, the one who did the Lazarus thing. Same guy. He's arrested. He can't be Messiah. If he's Messiah, Rome is leaving and
[01:51:41] we're going to live for a thousand years. If he's Messiah, then we're independent. We're free. We're going to be restored. You see, from a Jewish perspective, Messiah was going to come and crush the enemies, which is biblical, but from their perspective, that included us. And yet God in
[01:52:09] his grace grafted us in to those promises so that all we have to do is believe in Jesus.
[01:52:17] And now we can celebrate the promise of Messiah that he'll rule with the rod of iron and crush the enemies of unrighteousness. But because of Jesus, we're included. So Jews in first century Jerusalem during the time of Jesus' arrest, in just a few days, they go from Hosanna
[01:52:39] to crucify him. Why? Because he lied. He's not Messiah. Their perspective is he lied.
[01:52:50] He never called himself Messiah. They did. He called himself the son of God. He never denied himself, but they continually ascribed him to be the one who would establish a thousand-year kingdom. John the Baptist called him the Lamb of God, which meant that he was the one for sinners
[01:53:20] slain. And this is the whole confusion of the disciples in the upper room. Am I on your right and he's on your left? And just a few minutes later, he takes the bread and he takes the wine,
[01:53:37] which is part of the Passover. It was supposed to be the celebration meal. He says, this is my body. It's broken. This is my blood. It's shed. As often as you do it, do it in remembrance of me.
[01:53:57] He's arrested. He's accused. He's convicted. He's crucified. For us, there's only one crucifixion.
[01:54:10] For us, it's on a hill far away, and it's an old rugged cross, and we'll cherish it, and we'll sing about it and we'll celebrate it.
[01:54:20] For Jews, crucifixion was a common form of execution that happened so frequently, it was just grotesque, brutal, and not to be spoken of.
[01:54:30] It was disgraceful.
[01:54:34] So you are telling me as a first century Jew that Messiah is crucified?
[01:54:42] You're telling me the king of all kings is in the electric chair?
[01:54:50] Are you serious? That's a stumbling block. Now, remember the divine timing of God's sovereign plan. Jesus is Messiah, but before he returns as Messiah, he had to come and serve as the lamb.
[01:55:19] Before he comes back to establish his kingdom, he had to come and bring the gospel of the kingdom.
[01:55:26] before he comes to judge the wicked and the unrighteous and to reward the righteous.
[01:55:35] He had to come to give the whole world the opportunity to be righteous.
[01:55:43] And Paul's major question here and one that we have to answer for ourselves is that we believe that we get to decide who God chooses, why he chooses them, and for what purpose.
[01:56:02] the bottom line is God has not replaced Israel. God chose Israel to bring his son to the world and through his son graft us into the covenants that he made with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
[01:56:31] This is why replacement theology is false doctrine.
[01:56:36] This is why replacement theology is biblically untrue.
[01:56:41] This is why we believe what the Bible says, that God's word cannot be broken.
[01:56:49] I will bless those who bless you and I will curse those who curse you is still as true today as it was the day that God said.
[01:57:01] And anyone who says otherwise is just flat out wrong.
[01:57:10] It is my sincere prayer that by taking the time to break down this one chapter, understand there's still two chapters left in this conversation.
[01:57:20] It's massive.
[01:57:22] By just taking the time to break down this one chapter, I've given you enough biblical evidence to help you begin to see not only what a great, mighty, and gracious God we serve, but also how merciful, how loving, how patient and kind he is, and how his ways are bigger than
[01:57:51] our ways. And we should consider it a daily privilege to be a part of his sovereign will and his divine plan. God bless you. Thank you for joining me for this Sunday conversation.

[01:58:12] But what would happen if every day began in His presence?
[01:58:17] What if before the pressure, before the uncertainty, before the distractions of life, you grounded your heart in the promises of God?
