The Danger of Decisionism: Why ‘Choosing’ God is Not Salvation

While the sermon effectively communicates the depth of God's love and the necessity of Christ's sacrifice, it fundamentally compromises the Gospel by teaching that salvation is achieved through human decision rather than divine grace. Additionally, the administration of the Lord's Supper lacked necessary biblical fencing, risking spiritual harm to the congregation.

❓ What do these grades mean?
🔍 Biblical Discernment: The 7 Church Parallels
The Faithful Parallels Smyrna • Philadelphia
Teaching that parallels the churches that endure suffering with true spiritual riches (Rev 2:9) and keep the Word of Christ without denial despite having "little strength" (Rev 3:8).
The Cold Orthodox Parallel Ephesus
Teaching that upholds doctrinal precision yet parallels the loss of the "first love"—the vital, motivating power of the Gospel (Rev 2:4).
The Compromised Parallel Pergamum
Teaching that parallels churches tolerating the "doctrine of Balaam" through cultural accommodation (Rev 2:14), characterized by weak boundaries, sloppy theology, and worldly compromise.
The Corrupted & Dead Parallels Thyatira • Sardis • Laodicea
Teaching that parallels churches with active heresy, synergism, therapeutic deism, or dead orthodoxy (Rev 2:20, Rev 3:1, Rev 3:17). These represent systemic, fundamental errors that corrupt the Gospel.
Why strictly "Mark & Avoid"?
We do not issue this rating to attack the speaker, but to protect the listener. This ministry's overall teaching trend consistently deviates from sound doctrine. As per Romans 16:17, we identify these patterns so believers can guard their hearts.

🧐 Overview

Theological Verdict & Summary

Sermon Summary: A passionate call to choose God, framed through the lens of personal agency and the cost of Christ's sacrifice.

Pastoral Analysis: While the sermon effectively communicates the depth of God's love and the necessity of Christ's sacrifice, it fundamentally compromises the Gospel by teaching that salvation is achieved through human decision rather than divine grace. Additionally, the administration of the Lord's Supper lacked necessary biblical fencing, risking spiritual harm to the congregation.

Biblical Parallel (Archetype): Sardis — The sermon exhibits 'Dead Orthodoxy' by replacing the sovereign, monergistic work of the Holy Spirit in regeneration with human decisionism. By teaching that salvation is contingent upon the individual's ability to 'choose' God, the message shifts the ground of salvation from Christ's finished work to human performance, resulting in a spiritually dead orthodoxy that lacks the life-giving power of the Gospel.

Big Idea: God's ultimate dream is to have a personal relationship with you, which was made possible through Jesus Christ's sacrifice, and He desires for you to choose to love and follow Him. 00:26:02 ▶️ 📄

🧭 Biblical Alignment Dashboard

Overall Verdict: Fundamentally in Error

CategoryStatusReasoning
Gospel Framework ✅ PASS The sermon is classified as Path C - Fundamentally in Error, aligning with the biblical archetype of Sardis. It contains significant theological deviations that undermine the core Gospel framework, specifically regarding the nature of salvation and the role of human agency.
Soteriology ❌ FAIL The sermon teaches Decisionism, asserting that salvation is contingent upon the individual's ability to 'choose' God, which contradicts the biblical doctrine of monergistic regeneration.
Bibliology ✅ PASS Scripture is referenced appropriately, though the application of free will to salvation is theologically flawed.
Hermeneutic ⚠️ WEAK The hermeneutic leans heavily on moralistic application and human agency, overshadowing the theological truth of God's sovereign grace.
Theology Proper ✅ PASS The doctrine of God's love and sacrifice is presented clearly, though the soteriological application is flawed.
Sacramentology ❌ FAIL Physical communion was administered without biblical table fencing or warning against unworthy partaking (1 Corinthians 11:27-29).
Confessional Depth ❌ SHALLOW The sermon relies on emotional appeals and moralistic imperatives rather than deep theological exposition of grace and sovereignty.

⚙️ The Core Gospel Framework ✅ Intact

What is the Gospel Framework? This section audits whether the sermon proclaims the essential foundation of the Gospel: Christ's substitutionary sacrifice, humanity's spiritual need, and salvation by sovereign grace alone.

How this is evaluated:
  • Essential Gospel Pillars: The framework is verified intact when the sermon substantively preaches Christ's atonement, declares human inability (articulated through either Total Depravity or the Law's condemnation), and guards salvation by grace alone against works-righteousness.
  • Historic Confessional Depth: Deeper theological distinctives (such as the Active Obedience of Christ) enrich theological depth when expounded, but their absence in a focused topical or expository message is not an error and does not compromise the Gospel Framework.

🏛️ Essential Gospel Pillars

✅ The Cross & Atonement (Penal Substitution): Articulated

"He was pierced for our transgressions. he was crushed for our iniquities the punishment that brought us peace was upon him and by his wounds we are healed or that word really means made whole W-H-O-L-E it goes on to say we all like sheep have gone astray each of us has turned to his own way and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all and so with the transfer of our sins onto Jesus and him paying the total price for all of our sins" 00:36:08 ▶️ 📄

❌ Human Inability & Need: Not observed (neither human inability nor divine judgment was contextually proclaimed).

❌ Sola Gratia (Salvation by Grace Alone): Compromised

Soteriological errors detected regarding salvation by grace alone.

📜 Historic Confessional Depth

⚪ Active Obedience of Christ: Not explicitly expounded in this sermon.

Assessed under Confessional Depth diagnostic (SHALLOW). Its absence does not compromise the Gospel Framework.

⚠️ Theological Concerns

🔴 Critical Decisionism

Root Cause: Decisionism

"Only you can make God's dream come true for you because only you can choose to love him. Only you can choose to follow him." 00:41:15 ▶️ 📄

The Belief/Behavior: The sermon teaches that salvation is contingent upon the individual's ability to 'choose' God, implying that human will is the decisive factor in regeneration.

Why It's Dangerous: This shifts the ground of salvation from Christ's finished work to human performance, providing false assurance to those who believe their decision is sufficient, while causing despair in those who feel unable to 'choose' correctly.

Biblical Correction: Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast."

🟠 Major Failure to Fence the Lord's Supper

Root Cause: Sacramental Negligence

"let's share together in communion" 00:46:30 ▶️ 📄

The Belief/Behavior: The sermon administers the physical Lord's Supper with a total omission of verbal table fencing or warning against unworthy partaking, treating the holy sacrament as an open, unqualified activity.

Why It's Dangerous: Partaking of the Lord's Supper unworthily without saving faith or self-examination incurs spiritual judgment (1 Corinthians 11:27-29). Omitting the table fence blurs the line between the church and the world, reducing a holy covenant sacrament to an unqualified ritual.

Biblical Correction: 1 Corinthians 11:27-29 "Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body."

✅ Commendations

Pastoral Heart | Emphasis on God's Love

The pastor effectively communicates the depth of God's love and the cost of Christ's sacrifice, using relatable illustrations like the 'price tag' and 'Amazing Grace'.

Engagement | Use of Illustrations

The use of historical and personal illustrations (Jonestown, father/baby analogy) helps engage the congregation emotionally and intellectually.

[00:14:23] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_04]
[00:14:23] Maybe we're this complicated than it was ever meant to be. Hasn't it always been about the

[00:14:41] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_05]
[00:14:41] same thing? Bring us back to simple things. And listen to today's message. I'm back. I'm back.

[00:22:27] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_00]
[00:22:27] So good to see you all. I hope everybody's doing great. You guys were baptized on the way in, weren't you? Whoa, we don't really believe in sprinkling, but I guess today we do. Some people
[00:22:39] really got sprinkled good. Oh, I'm just glad you made it in. Some of you had to swim, but you're here, and thank you so much. Hey, I want to start by saying thank you to everybody who signed up
[00:22:53] for a life group. Last week was Life Group Sunday, and hundreds of people already signed up, and for those of you who signed up, thank you so much. If you have not yet signed up, please, please,
[00:23:04] please do it because these small groups we call life groups are called life groups for a reason because they are life-giving and they will change your life. So please, if you haven't become a part
[00:23:16] of a life group yet, go online and register for a life group. Also, I just want to congratulate those who were baptized on Wednesday night.
[00:23:27] Wasn't that amazing?
[00:23:28] Wednesday night, all those people.
[00:23:31] And for those of you who aren't here, Wednesday night was an extraordinary night.
[00:23:36] It was packed.
[00:23:37] We had people standing room, literally standing all along the walls, and we baptized so many people.
[00:23:44] I have no idea, honestly, how many people we baptized, but it was so moving.
[00:23:49] If you weren't here, you can go online.
[00:23:51] You can watch the baptism service.
[00:23:53] but when those people were making their public profession of faith and they went under the water and they came out raised the newness of life in Christ Jesus oh it was so moving and so many young people, older people
[00:24:07] people of every age and stage of life and I just want to say if you've never been baptized we would love to baptize you and celebrate with you that is such an important part and step in your walk with Christ
[00:24:21] so if you need to be baptized let us know we'll be doing baptism here again in a few weeks but with that said I have a message I want to share with you this morning
[00:24:32] it's very simple but it's profound and don't allow the simplicity of it to just pass you by because a lot of times God uses the simple things as foundational things in our lives God speaks to me
[00:24:48] I call it the kiss principle keep it simple Spradley. That's for me. And you know, this one we're talking about today, this is foundational in your Christian life. So let's just pray together. Father, in the next few minutes
[00:25:02] we turn our attention to your word and what you have to say to us. And I just would ask that your word would come alive to us. God, you know where each one of us are at in our walk with you. Lord, may your word speak
[00:25:15] specifically to where we're at and help us to have revelation of this amazing truth.
[00:25:22] We pray all this in the mighty and the powerful name of Jesus.
[00:25:25] Everybody said amen.
[00:25:27] Hallelujah.
[00:25:28] I heard that one yo over there.
[00:25:30] The baby gave me a big yo.
[00:25:32] I love the yo's.
[00:25:34] While I'm thinking about it, next week we're going to start a new series.
[00:25:38] I think it's one of the most consequential series that we're going to be on for the year because I believe God wants to prepare us, prepare us as a church family for what God has in the next chapter here at Lake City Church.
[00:25:52] So come next Sunday, bring some friends with you.
[00:25:55] It's going to be amazing.
[00:25:57] But today, I want to talk to you about God's dream for you.
[00:26:02] God's dream for you.
[00:26:05] Oftentimes, we talk about our dreams.
[00:26:08] For instance, we say, my dream is to get married, or my dream is to play NBA basketball, Or my dream is to go to XYZ University.
[00:26:19] Or my dream is to buy a home on the lake.
[00:26:21] Well, that's not my dream.
[00:26:22] Maybe it's yours.
[00:26:24] Or maybe you say, my dream is to retire at age 65.
[00:26:28] Obviously, that's not my dream.
[00:26:30] But did you know that God has a dream?
[00:26:34] He does.
[00:26:36] God has a dream.
[00:26:37] And the amazing thing is that God's dream is for you.
[00:26:40] In Jeremiah 29 11 God says I know the plans I have in mind for you They are plans or dreams for peace not disaster To give you a future filled with hope It's possible to get so consumed by your own dreams
[00:27:00] That you don't even seem to realize That God has a dream for you Every one of you God has a dream for every one of us Yes, God gives you the ability to dream, but the dream giver is also the ultimate dreamer.
[00:27:18] He's the ultimate dreamer.
[00:27:20] Moses prayed this prayer in Psalm 90, verse number 2.
[00:27:24] He said, before the mountains were born, or you brought forth the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting, you are God.
[00:27:33] See, in order for us to get a grip on this concept of God as dreamer, we've got to step back and remember that God preexisted everything everything we see, everything that we know God lived in nothingness
[00:27:48] and infinity all at the same time and everything that now is exists because of his dream. The beginning of his dream is recorded in Genesis 1-1 when it says in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth
[00:28:05] he dreamed those things before he spoke those things into existence. But the heart of his dream is found in the following verses. Listen. Genesis 127. It says, so God created man in his own image. That's important. In his own image. In the image of God,
[00:28:26] he created him. Male and female, he created them. Genesis 2.7 says, the Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life. The reason that
[00:28:40] we believe in the sanctity of life is because God himself breathed his life into mankind.
[00:28:46] It goes on to say in that verse, and the man became a living being. So at the very heart of God's dream is the creation of human beings, people who can interact with their God. Now
[00:29:02] think about this. The almighty God of the universe, the one who could do anything, create anything, dream anything, and he dreamed of having human beings like himself with whom he could share a relationship. That was, that is God's dream for you. To know you, to love you, to interact
[00:29:24] with you. And the Bible is a divinely inspired book that reveals that dream, that dream of having a relationship with every single one of us. Now, that should be a slam dunk, right? I mean, after
[00:29:38] all, God, all he has to do is create people and pre-program all of their thoughts, all of their desires, all of their decisions. In other words, he simply makes them love him. So they have no
[00:29:53] other choice. But does God do that? No, no, he doesn't do that. Some of you are old enough to remember the account of Jim Jones. How many of you remember that name, Jim Jones, who led a
[00:30:08] religious cult called the People's Temple? His goal was to have total control over his people.
[00:30:15] He led them to Guyana, South America, where he established Jonestown. He declared himself the reincarnation of Jesus, Buddha, Lenin, and others. And he actually brainwashed many, many of his people so that he had total and complete control over them
[00:30:34] on a regular basis he would conduct what he called white nights and he would, that's where he would set off sirens in the middle of the night and his subjects were told to drink poison Kool-Aid, they didn't know
[00:30:50] if it was just a drill or if it was real poison but on November 18th 1978 after a visit from California representative Leo Ryan the sirens sounded and 913 people drank the Kool-Aid which is
[00:31:08] really poison and all 913 of them died they were under the control of Jim Jones now here's the question, do you think God could have done that? Do you think God could have controlled us people? Do you think God
[00:31:25] could have manipulated us like that? Of course he could have of course he's God but please hear this God never God never makes people do anything especially love him God never makes people love him you know why because that would violate his dream that would destroy
[00:31:45] his dream remember his dream is to have people choose to love him choose to follow him the forbidden fruit in the middle of the garden of Eden was all about choice their freedom of choice. And when we think about
[00:32:02] the scene in Genesis chapter 3 where God banished them from the garden, sometimes we're almost tempted to feel sorry for Adam and Eve.
[00:32:11] But how did God feel about that? After all, it seemed that His dream was shattered for good. And we read in Genesis 6, 6, the Lord was grieved that He had made man on the earth. God grieved for mankind. He grieved for His
[00:32:26] temporary death of his dream to have a relationship with mankind.
[00:32:30] In fact, Genesis 6, verse 6, part B goes on to say, and his heart was filled with pain.
[00:32:39] So, hold it. You mean God can experience pain? The answer is yes. Yes, God does experience pain.
[00:32:46] He experiences pain when we reject Him.
[00:32:51] And some of you, you're parents of young children, so you know about this, but sometimes babies, when they're little bitty babies, sometimes they go through a stage where they want mama all the time, right?
[00:33:03] There's a practical reason for that.
[00:33:05] You know what I'm talking about.
[00:33:07] And so when daddy tries to take them, they cry.
[00:33:11] And oftentimes daddy's heart hurts.
[00:33:14] I mean, he feels that pain.
[00:33:16] And in the same way, God, our heavenly father, feels hurt, he feels pain when we push him away, when we don't let him into our lives, when we reject his love and we reject his affection.
[00:33:30] God was hurt.
[00:33:32] His dreams seemed to be doomed.
[00:33:35] But Genesis 6, 8 brings a ray of light.
[00:33:39] It says, but Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord.
[00:33:43] Verse 9, Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked with God.
[00:33:50] Noah chose to love God.
[00:33:52] Noah chose to follow him however, throughout the Old Testament it was like a seesaw they were up and they were down sometimes they chose God's plans sometimes they chose their own dreams and plans God even gave them the Ten Commandments
[00:34:09] and other laws to help guide their behavior and remind them of his dream to have a relationship with him but there was always a major problem you know what that problem was?
[00:34:19] sin sin is always a problem because sin separates us from God.
[00:34:25] God, a holy God, cannot fellowship with sin.
[00:34:29] And so sin was a major problem.
[00:34:33] Because of Adam and Eve's choice to disobey God, sin entered the human race.
[00:34:40] As long as sin remained, God's dream of a pure, uninterrupted relationship with mankind was impossible.
[00:34:47] Sin was the enemy of God's dream.
[00:34:50] and according to divine justice the only way for sin to be removed was for mankind to have what I call an Eden 2.0 or Eden part 2 in other words a perfect sinless man would have to
[00:35:06] be put in a situation just like Adam and Eve and that person would have to be be faced with a choice and he would have to make the right choice unlike the first Adam who could choose from many trees
[00:35:20] and resist only one. The second Adam, Jesus, would have to resist many trees and choose only one. He had to choose the tree called Calvary. That day, 2,000 years ago, Jesus Christ, the last Adam, as the Bible refers to him, chose the one and only tree that could fulfill God's dream. It
[00:35:42] was the cross where he died for the sins of all of mankind. The prophet Isaiah foretold the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. In Isaiah 53, 4, he prophesied saying, surely he, speaking of Jesus, took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows. He was pierced for our transgressions.
[00:36:08] he was crushed for our iniquities the punishment that brought us peace was upon him and by his wounds we are healed or that word really means made whole W-H-O-L-E it goes on to say we all like sheep have gone astray
[00:36:26] each of us has turned to his own way and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all and so with the transfer of our sins onto Jesus and him paying the total price for all of our sins,
[00:36:39] God's dream is now alive and well.
[00:36:43] Bum, bum, bum, bum.
[00:36:45] Hallelujah.
[00:36:46] Yeah.
[00:36:47] And that is something to be excited about, really excited about.
[00:36:52] God's dream is now alive and well, that of having a relationship with us and us with Him.
[00:37:00] 1 Corinthians 15, verse 22 states, For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive that means that today God's dream is being realized because billions of people have placed their trust in Christ
[00:37:18] and have entered a personal relationship with Him what a dream here's the thing from the beginning of time God has been driven by one dream the dream of having a relationship with us is that amazing or what?
[00:37:36] whoa yes that is so amazing and you know they say that every dream has a price tag and it's true God's dream had the biggest price tag of all in the most well-known passage in all of scripture
[00:37:56] John 3 16 says God loved the people in the world so much that he gave his son his one and only son to save them. As a result, everyone who believes in the Son will not die. Instead, they will live forever with
[00:38:13] God. Now, I don't know if you've ever thought about it this way, but Jesus' death made God's dream come true.
[00:38:21] But oh, what a price. Oh, what a price.
[00:38:26] And if I'm honest, I would tell you that there are times where I struggle to really wrap my brain around the fact and the depth of God's love for me. Do you ever struggle with that? We're singing about amazing grace. It
[00:38:39] really is amazing grace. And sometimes just the thought of how much God loved me and loved you and loved us, that he would sacrifice his one and only son so that we could stand and spend
[00:38:55] eternity with him in relationship with him. Oh, it's so amazing. But it's true. It's true.
[00:39:01] Galatians 1 verse number 4 says Jesus Christ gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age according to the will of our God and Father to whom be glory forever and ever
[00:39:16] Amen again it just blows my mind how much God loved the human race especially how much he loved me that he would solve the sin problem by the death of his perfect son Jesus so what's God's dream for you?
[00:39:34] He wants you to choose to put your faith in Christ's death and resurrection so that you can have a relationship with him.
[00:39:43] He wants you to choose to love him and to put him in the center of your life.
[00:39:48] We were just singing that song, Jesus be the center of my life.
[00:39:53] That's what God wants.
[00:39:54] That's God's dream for you.
[00:39:58] In fact, as I close, Ephesians 1.5 confirms his dream by saying, He predestined us to be adopted as His sons through Jesus Christ in accordance with, listen to this, in accordance with His pleasure and will. Folks, God wants this. God wants this so much.
[00:40:23] He wants this for you. He wants this for me. He wants this for every one of us in accordance with His pleasure and His will. Verse 7 says, in Him we have redemption through His blood,
[00:40:35] the forgiveness of sins. In him, we were also chosen having been predestined according to the plan, the dream of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will.
[00:40:51] God is passionate about his dream. God has made every provision for his dream, but here's the catch. Here's the catch. Only you can make God's dream come true for you because only you can choose to love him. Only you can choose to follow him. So this morning, it comes down to this
[00:41:15] question. Have you made that choice? Have you made that choice to love him, to follow him, to put him in the center of your life.
[00:41:26] Amen.
[00:41:26] Father, the truth of your word is so amazing.
[00:41:32] The truth of your love, the truth of your grace and your forgiveness is so amazing.
[00:41:37] God, sometimes we struggle to just fathom the depths of your love.
[00:41:43] But thank you, God, that you did.
[00:41:45] You loved us so much.
[00:41:47] We thank you in Jesus' name.
[00:41:49] Would you go ahead and stand together with me?
[00:41:55] While we stand here in this moment of prayer with our heads bowed and eyes closed.
[00:41:59] I think most of us in this room today have made that choice.
[00:42:06] We chose to love God.
[00:42:09] We chose to follow Him, to put Him in our lives.
[00:42:14] And I want to pray, if you made that choice, if you've already made that choice to follow God, to allow Him to have a relationship with you, would you just raise your hand with mine?
[00:42:26] Everybody who's already made that choice, raise your hand.
[00:42:29] because I want to pray for you.
[00:42:31] God, you see the hands, and you know, Lord, that we've made a choice to love you, to serve you.
[00:42:39] But now, Lord, I pray that you would help us to give it all to you, that you would truly be the center of our lives.
[00:42:47] God, we want you.
[00:42:48] You're our one thing, the only thing, the central part of our life.
[00:42:53] And Lord, for every one of us, I pray that you would be the center of it all.
[00:42:58] You would be the one thing.
[00:43:01] Lord, that's our heart today.
[00:43:05] Thank you, Jesus, for helping us.
[00:43:08] I pray in Jesus' name.
[00:43:09] You can go ahead and take your hands down.
[00:43:12] While our heads are still bowed and eyes are closed, I want to pray one more prayer.
[00:43:15] Maybe you're here this morning, you're not really sure about your relationship with God.
[00:43:19] If you were to die today, like right now, do you know beyond any shadow of a doubt that you're ready to stand before God?
[00:43:25] If you're not sure, in just a moment, I'd love to pray a prayer for you and others.
[00:43:30] so our heads are bowed Christians are praying really hard if you say I'm not sure but I want to be sure today I want to be sure that Jesus Christ is my Savior and my Lord
[00:43:39] would you just go ahead and put up your hands so I can pray for you along with others just put it up say yeah please pray God bless you in the back anybody else just put it up
[00:43:48] say yeah please pray for me I want to be sure yeah anybody else Father thank you for these that have responded now Lord I just pray that you would give them the assurance of their faith, the assurance of their salvation.
[00:44:06] In just a moment, I'm going to pray a simple prayer.
[00:44:09] I'm going to ask everyone in the room to please repeat this prayer after me.
[00:44:13] If you raised your hand, just pray this prayer from your heart because God will hear you.
[00:44:18] Maybe you didn't raise your hand, but you feel like you should have.
[00:44:23] Something inside was tugging at you.
[00:44:25] I invite you to pray this prayer along with the rest of us because God will hear an earnest heart.
[00:44:31] And so let's just pray this out loud together.
[00:44:34] Say, God, I know that you love me because you sent your son Jesus and he died on the cross for my sins.
[00:44:45] Today, I repent of my sins and I ask you to be my savior, my Lord.
[00:44:53] And from today on, I'm gonna live for you.
[00:44:57] In Jesus' name, amen, amen.
[00:45:01] Come on, y'all, let's give God praise.
[00:45:04] Lord, we just give you praise and honor and glory.
[00:45:07] Thank you, Lord Jesus.
[00:45:09] amen if you prayed that prayer we have some resources in the lobby make sure you go by there and get those resources if you're a guest with us this morning one of the things we do every
[00:45:19] sunday mornings we share together in the lord's supper holy communion and when we do so we are celebrating the fact that god loved us so much that he sent his one and only son jesus and jesus
[00:45:31] loved us so much that he gave his body and his blood for us. So Father, as we prepare our hearts to receive these elements in just a few moments, God, we're reminded once again that that little
[00:45:47] cracker just depicts your body that was bruised and broken for us. That little cup of juice depicts your blood that was shed on Calvary's cross, the tree called Calvary, and you shed your blood for us for the forgiveness of our sins and so as we receive communion in just a moment
[00:46:10] Lord we are reminded of your love we are reminded of Christ's sacrifice and we say thank you and today may every person in this place celebrate your love and celebrate the forgiveness of our sins we say thank you thank you and we pray all of this in the mighty and the powerful name of

[00:46:30] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_05]
[00:46:30] jesus and everybody said amen amen let's share together in communion thing else when you are

[00:55:16] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[00:55:16] everything and i father i asked you guide us throughout this week to live our life like that that if you'd not do another thing it would have already been too much father because you were that
[00:55:29] good you were that good so father i pray over every single person in this room right now lord to take the transformation that happened in this place out, out to the people, for them to
[00:55:41] experience your goodness, and for others to see your dream, God, your beautiful, beautiful dream.
[00:55:49] Jesus, thank you for what you did on the cross for us, and Holy Spirit, empower us to do things for you, Christ, and to glorify you. In your powerful and mighty name, Jesus, amen. Hey, Lake City Church,
[00:56:03] we love you God love you make it a fantastic week
