[00:00:00] I'm going to be using the, the AMPC for what I'm reading. And I want you to open to Romans chapter 10. Let me unpack here. That was what I was studying this morning. All right, in the book of Romans. And, and we will begin reading with, we begin with chapter 5. For Moses writes,
[00:01:15] That the man who can practice the righteousness, perfect conformity to God's will, which is based on the law with all its intricate demands.
[00:01:40] So they live by it.
[00:01:41] But the righteousness based on faith, imputed by God, bringing right relationship to him.
[00:01:51] let's, we're going to get some definitions. Let's go with the 11th chapter of the book of Hebrews. I want to get this first that the, or excuse me, the sixth chapter. We'll get some, no, the 11th chapter. I'll be back in a minute. Now, I want
[00:02:30] you to get this definition because every time you see the word faith. This applies. Now faith, well, faith is now. Faith is the assurance, the confirmation, the title deed of the things we hope for being the proof of things we do not see
[00:02:56] and the conviction of the reality, faith perceiving as real fact, what is not revealed to the senses. Now from Merriam-Webster. Now I want you to listen to this. This is very interesting. We're talking about hope. A desire of some
[00:03:24] good accompanied with at least a slight expectation of obtaining it or a belief that it is obtainable.
[00:03:34] hope differs from wish. Now that's very important. Oh, I sure hope so. No, that's not hope. And you'll see the difference right here. Hope differs from wish and desire in this, that implies some expectation of obtaining the
[00:03:56] good desired or the possibility of possessing it. Hope therefore always gives pleasure or joy, whereas wish and desire may produce and be accompanied with pain and anxiety. Confidence in a future event, the highest degree of well-founded expectation of good. As hope founded on God's gracious
[00:04:20] promises, a scriptural sense. Well-founded scriptural hope is in our religion, the source of ineffable happiness. Glory to God. That which gives hope. Now, now listen to this.
[00:04:37] Faith, couple that with this.
[00:04:40] Faith is the assurance, the confirmation, the title deed.
[00:04:44] I like that.
[00:04:46] The title deed of the things we hope for, a desire of good, something good.
[00:04:57] And it's not wish, because wish wind up with pain and anxiety.
[00:05:02] The things we hope for being the proof of things we do not see and conviction of the reality.
[00:05:09] a faith perceiving as real fact, what is not revealed to the senses. For by faith, trust and holy fervor born of faith, the men of old and divine testimony born to them obtained a good
[00:05:21] report. So now those two definitions are very, very important. Particularly, well, it's important. I mean, that's the base of the word of faith. So, but those two definitions are extremely important. So every time you see it, hope,
[00:05:40] Yeah. I expect to get this thing. I'm going to add my faith and it's mine. That belongs to me. Jesus bought it with his own blood. Praise God. All right. Now let's go back over
[00:05:56] here to the book of Romans. Now listen to this. Moses writes that the man that practices righteousness, let's go on down here. But the righteousness based on faith, which is the the title deed of the things we hope for. Imputed by God and
[00:06:25] bring in right relationship to him. Do not say in your heart, who will ascend into heaven? That is to bring Christ down or who will descend into the abyss. King James says deep, the abyss.
[00:06:44] Well, what is that? A bottomless gulf used also for a deep mass of waters, supposed by some to have encompassed the earth before the flood. Darkness was on the face of the deep or abyss
[00:07:01] as it is in the Septuagint. That puts the proper meaning of hell.
[00:07:14] Now we won't go there. Maybe we will before we get through. They came. Can you imagine somebody coming? Would you just do a miracle or something to prove what you're saying is right? I'm like Brother Hagin. I wrote my Bible. The Bible says it, I
[00:07:33] believe it, and that settles it. Amen. He went into the abyss three days and three nights, and Friday doesn't get it. Now, Professor Greg Stevens straightened me out on something.
[00:07:55] I really never thought about it until he ran the timeline. On the Jewish calendar, it's not midnight. It's when the sun goes down. It was a high Sabbath and it was on Thursday. Three days
[00:08:17] and three nights. He said, Jesus said, the only sign you're going to get is of the prophet Jonah. Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the big fish. So shall a son of man be
[00:08:36] three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. Praise God. Now let me get back over here. So now in the 10th chapter of Romans here, I haven't done this sitting down all that often
[00:08:58] so, but I'm enjoying it. Now let's read on. I want to, I'm going to start down here about the 12th verse. No one for there is distinction between the Jew and the Greek, the same Lord
[00:09:16] over us, all of us. And he generously bestows his riches upon all them that call on him in faith, which is the title deed. Every time you see faith, that's the title deed. I own it
[00:09:32] now. It's the title deed and I see it in the spirit. I see myself with it. Hallelujah. I own this thing. I have a deed to it by my faith. Now, now let's, I want to see this, but how
[00:09:59] Now everyone that calls upon the name of the Lord, invoking Him as Lord will be saved.
[00:10:06] Now that's also in Acts 2.21.
[00:10:10] Now, but how are the people to call on Him whom they believe and whom they have no faith?
[00:10:20] They don't see that they own it, they're just hurting.
[00:10:26] What do they need?
[00:10:27] Somebody tell them.
[00:10:29] It's that simple.
[00:10:31] On whom they have no reliance.
[00:10:34] And how are they to believe in him and adhere to and trust in him and rely on him who they haven't heard? And how are they to hear without a preacher? Now that's my job. That's my job.
[00:10:52] And let's go back. The only time in next April, Gloria will be on our 65th wedding anniversary. How many times have I ever raised my voice and said, I don't know, he's in this little,
[00:11:16] this little house we had rented from the mother of a friend of mine in high school. And, uh, I don't, I don't mind. And I just stopped. Glory, Gina, baby, I'm sorry. I would not have said
[00:11:31] that. And so I just walked over there and flopped down on this old green couch. And I went into such a deep sleep that I felt like I'd slept around the clock. Now I opened my eyes on my side,
[00:11:46] open my eyes and she was right here. I said, oh, Gloria, I got to preach. She said, I know it. Well, I didn't have any idea what, let's just do this thing. But we had two very strong
[00:12:03] mentors, Oral Roberts and Kenneth E. Hagin. Yes, amen.
[00:12:12] Gloria said, uh, I didn't marry a preacher. I married an airplane pilot and he just turned out to be one. Well, really, that's the truth. Okay, let's go ahead with this. For with the heart, a person believe and adheres to it. Now I want
[00:12:32] you to see this. And when they have no faith on whose reliance and how we believe in him and here to and rely on him of whom they've not heard. And how are they going to hear without a
[00:12:47] preacher? I've got my faith on the line for 1 million partners. They're the senders. They're the senders. We've touched our assignment to preach this non-compromised word of faith from the top of the world to the bottom and all the way
[00:13:17] around the middle. Amen. It's in a place right now, of course that first came in the fourth chapter of the book of Ephesians and Gloria and I were doing by ourselves, back when we had the
[00:13:38] kitchen set. Some of you remember that? And I said, Gloria, Gina, and I saw it. One million joints. And I knocked them a cup of tea. I said, we'll clean it up in a minute. I got
[00:13:52] so excited and I heard it in my spirit. You're going to be the biggest Holy ghost gang on this planet. Amen. Now, well, no, I don't, I don't want to say that just yet. So now we've got this.
[00:14:13] So let's go down to Acts chapter two. Let's go to the beginning.
[00:14:19] Acts 2, 2. And on the day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all assembled together in one place. And suddenly they came a sound from heaven, like the rushing of violent tempest blast. And it filled the whole house in which they were sitting
[00:14:54] and there appeared to them tongues resembling fire, which separated and distributed and settled on each of them. And they were all filled and diffused throughout their souls and the Holy Spirit began to speak and listen to this, began
[00:15:17] to speak in other different foreign languages and tongues as the Spirit kept giving them clear and loud expression in in each tongue and appropriate words. Now we were in, we were in, uh, in the Philippines and we, we were there twice, but
[00:15:39] this was the first time. And I was preaching and, uh, this, uh, woman's daughter was interpreting in Tagalog and I stopped and spoke in, in, in, in tongue, just kept on. And her daughter said, would you shut up? She said, mama, he's
[00:16:05] speaking English. No, he isn't. No, he isn't. He's speaking Tagalog. Well, see, that was the same miracle. Now that's not, that's not the only time that's happened over the years. And a number of times in different places and stop and say different
[00:16:28] things and have someone come up and say, do you know what you said? I said, no, do you? Well, yeah, because that person heard it in another language. You hear how they heard, they heard
[00:16:50] different things. So now you have to look at that through the eyes of faith and understand how faith works. As they began to speak as the Spirit gave them utterance, they heard it in their language. Now did you get that? They heard it in their
[00:17:16] language. Well, as they were speaking in tongues, they were hearing different languages and you have to get, you have to get the supernatural part of that because there are times, well, it's just like that with Tagalog. In cases there, I was
[00:17:42] speaking English. She heard it in Tagalog. Now I know you have to really take hold of that with your faith, but that's what she heard and the spirit of God in her saw to it that she heard
[00:18:04] heard without hearing through an interpreter. And her daughter told her, mama, will you hush? She said, he's speaking English.
[00:18:14] She said, no, he's not. So the point is they heard it that way.
[00:18:19] And when you're dealing with the supernatural, you have to put it as the spirit gave them utterance. He was working with their ears at the same time. So he saw to it by the spirit that
[00:18:39] heard what he wanted them to hear. All right, we're almost there. Now, get strong in here, isn't it? And they appear to them. Now, and I want to go here. Therefore, those who accepted and welcomed this message were baptized and there
[00:19:19] were added that way that day, 3000 souls. And the devil said,

[00:19:31] oh no, nobody ever got out of my place before. I had him in there. There's more of them and they talking something I can't understand. Oh, shut up devil. You were defeated right then. I

[00:20:00] mean when Jesus got through with you in the abyss and he took your keys away from him. He took his keys and literally destroyed him. Took his authority away from me. He has none. All he has
[00:20:23] has is what somebody will give him. That's all he has. And he's been moaning about it ever since. Praise God. Now, Gloria and Taffy wanted to look around at houses and we were there in
[00:20:44] Atlanta and I was driving and all of a sudden I turned around there and I said, he's answered with, we talked to one another tongues, I'd say probably 15, 20 minutes. Can you do that? No, you
[00:21:10] can't do that. Why? You had to ask. Anyway, the point is that anointing just came on me and it turned out we ministered to one another in our own place where we were at the time. The two of
[00:21:33] us ministered to one another. And then as we began to talk with one another. Then the anointing came on the both of us. And then we began to interpret back and forth. Amen.
[00:21:49] Do you understand? Do you understand amen right there? Now what you think the devil thought about that? I don't care what he thinks. He didn't get in on any of it. He's just sitting there moaning about it. Well, I'll get them later. No. Now I
[00:22:13] I said all that to say this, he foreseeing this spoke by foreknowledge of the resurrection of Christ the Messiah, that he has not deserted in death and left in Hades in the abyss that's place for the departed spirit, nor did his body now decay or see destruction. Now this is the man
[00:22:54] that had denied Jesus three times.
[00:23:05] But then when the Spirit of God rose up in him, here's a man, a fisherman, that instantaneously knew this was the prophet Joel.
[00:23:20] How does a fisherman know that?
[00:23:22] He probably didn't before today.
[00:23:25] On the other hand, he is a man of God.
[00:23:29] Amen.
[00:23:30] And we have to understand, he didn't know he was writing the new covenant.
[00:23:37] He didn't know that.
[00:23:40] He was just taking up where they left off.
[00:23:42] And this group established that.
[00:23:50] Now, 3,000 people.
[00:23:53] There were 3,000 souls in the first covenant that were destroyed.
[00:24:08] I believe it was in Babylon.
[00:24:13] And they scattered and their languages were scattered.
[00:24:16] We got it back on the day of Pentecost.
[00:24:21] We got the languages back on the day of Pentecost.
[00:24:25] We have it.
[00:24:26] And Jesus shed his blood to get it.
[00:24:29] Now, are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those that are heirs to salvation?
[00:24:41] That's Hebrews chapter one, verse 14.
[00:24:44] You remember Jacob's letter going to and fro, to and fro?
[00:24:56] On that day, Jesus paid the price for Adam's failure.
[00:25:07] He paid the price for it.
[00:25:10] And all of those angels came back in here at one time.
[00:25:16] And he led captivity captive.
[00:25:19] I'm convinced, I don't care where you were on this planet, you would have heard the same thing.
[00:25:26] It did not happen right there in Jerusalem alone.
[00:25:31] It's all over the world.
[00:25:33] It was all over this whole atmosphere that all of those angels, innumerable numbers of angels came back into this earthly atmosphere.
[00:25:45] Verse 41 here.
[00:25:53] Therefore, those who accepted and welcomed his message were baptized and there were added that day about 3000 souls and they steadfastly preserved devoting themselves constantly to the instruction and fellowship of the apostles to the breaking of bed and bread, including the Lord's supper and prayers.
[00:26:21] a sense of awe, reverential fear that came upon every soul. And many wonders, signs were performed through the apostles, special messengers. Oh yeah, Brother Copeland, but they were apostles. All that means they were sent. So let's move over
[00:26:43] here in the third chapter. Now, Peter and John were going up to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour, three o'clock in the afternoon when a certain man crippled from birth was being carried along, who was laid each day at the gate of the
[00:27:06] temple, which is called beautiful so that he might beg charitable gifts from those who entered the temple. So when he saw Peter and John about to go into the temple, he asked them for a gift. Peter directed his gaze intently at him. And so did
[00:27:22] John and said, look at us. And the man paid attention to them, expecting that he was going to get something from them. Peter said, silver and gold money, I don't have. What happened to all of it? Well, he was a fisherman. And by the way, I'd like to ask you, what image do you have
[00:27:48] in your mind? And they were fishing. And he said, how many fish do you have? This lad has two.
[00:27:57] And then there were a thousand, thousand of them. Can you, can you see them eating a big fish like this raw? No, they were sardines. Now you know. This lad had two small fishes. Well, it
[00:28:23] was his lunch. They didn't eat the cooking. You just salt them a little bit. And that's what my dad and I used to eat going fishing. I still do. I just have me a nice fish dinner and it's
[00:28:39] sardines. That's what they were fishing for. Now they caught other fish that were large and those larger fish then were sold at market. But the ones that they ate in those large crowds were sardines. And the Galilee being so clear, those little
[00:29:14] fish to school in the, just the millions, but they see the net in the daytime. No, Jesus said, throw it over here on the other side. Now it wasn't a sardine that had money in its mouth. It
[00:29:33] wouldn't have been over, the money would have been so small.
[00:29:35] So there are some big fish in the Galilee. There's some big fish in the Galilee. And right there at the last, the scripture actually says that they were big, but did you notice the net
[00:29:54] didn't break? I was preaching about that, that net breaking.
[00:30:05] Read the scripture. When Jesus walked up there, they were cleaning their nets and Jesus wants to go fishing in the middle of the day. Well, he's thinking they're not going to get anything. So he just got him an old worn out net, not
[00:30:40] not expecting. And he's reading. He said, department meant for me.
[00:30:44] I'm a sinful man. He knew what he did and he got that old rotten net. And it's the only time that one ever, ever broke. Amen.

[00:31:16] When the Lord dropped it in our heart to have a believer's convention, this building wasn't finished. And so we went to the West Coast and they said, go to church six days a week. No, we'll
[00:31:58] give you the California room. And so we said, well, do it, you know, an area impact. They called us and said, you'd like to have a big convention center. So that was the first one. We
[00:32:13] were at one time doing three a year, West Coast, East Coast, Southwest. Amen. Well, that went out there on the West Coast. At the times that we had it every year, it really got to a place
[00:32:32] where the Lord said, I want you to get out of here and don't go back until I tell you. And I was in a meeting then and they were building this building here and it was finished about 1968.
[00:32:41] So it wasn't but about 12 years old, the first one of these we had.
[00:32:46] And here's what I heard the Lord say.
[00:32:49] They think that they are building a convention center.
[00:32:55] No, they are not.
[00:32:57] They are building for you to be a cathedral of faith and total immersion.
[00:33:09] Because I read an article about a total immersion language school out on the West Coast.
[00:33:14] and they were developing interpreters and so forth so that they were not tied to interpreters that might have an ulterior motive because they were praising their own.
[00:33:31] And the way they did it in about six weeks, they were fluent and six, eight months, they had someone they could interpret.
[00:33:40] And I heard the Lord say, I want total immersion in my word, total immersion in the word of faith and faith comes by hearing, hearing by the word of God.
[00:33:53] And so that was, that was the whole reason for it. And then we had the East coast, but then the Lord said, you just stay with that one in Southwest until I tell you to quit.
[00:34:05] Well, we had to quit because we're tearing it down Saturday night after we leave here.
[00:34:10] Amen. So we got in, we started it and then tore it up, I guess. But the thing that stands out in my mind, the Lord said, I want you to have a worldwide communion service. This place
[00:34:37] had 15,000 people in it. And that's where the little plastic communion came from.
[00:34:47] Because there's no way you're going to have glass around in here. So we went to the grape juice people and they said, oh yeah. And they've done very well since. There's so many people that use it. That's where that little thing came from. And Thomas Clyde McGee, it's good
[00:35:10] for you to know this, a born again, Holy Ghost baptized tongue talking believer set that first satellite out there. So every time you turn your nav on and the car says, thank you brother Tom. And the code name for it was birds. And a friend
[00:35:31] of ours and brother Mack Hamlin starts to get down in front of him and say, birds, come out birds. Glad you know what they're ... Yeah, I know what they're doing. That was a code name for
[00:35:42] satellites. Without computers, just engineers, slide rules, so forth. And so I called him and I said, we want to have a Worldwide Communion Service. And can you do that? Yeah. I said, how? He said, I don't know. But you know what Philippians 4

[00:45:39] every time we see a ministry like that, every time you see a ministry like that, then we need to partner up. And frankly, that's the reason that the Lord told Gloria and me for a million partners, a million of us, so that the funds are there. And let me point this out to

[00:46:36] And we tithe into other ministries.

[00:47:04] Somebody came to Dr. David, Bishop David Oudipo, and he was, you're preaching that American gospel. He said, no, Jesus was not born in America. Well, I didn't choose that as a message. The Lord assigned me with it. He said, I want you to teach on prospering
[00:47:49] financially. The Creflo used a pie and there's just one little slice of it that's money. But you say prosperity, how much?

[00:49:42] what good does it do to have a million dollars in the bank and you're too sick to do anything about it? And you have back traditions, which Jesus said your traditions make the word of
[00:50:02] no effect. You know, you keep him humble and we'll keep him wrote. And I know someone that's very close to Gloria and me. And that's what some of her families in the ministry, that's what
[00:50:28] they thought. Well, we're not supposed to have anything. I thought it was good news. That's not all that good news. Oh, but salvation. Well, when you don't have any money, you can't get it very far from you. And money is not the bottom line. Creflo said
[00:50:55] that's just a piece of the pie. But when you come to that place where you're prosperous, like before the end of 1967, we were debt free. So we just kept it that way. Somebody said,
[00:51:23] Copeland said, it's a sin to borrow money. No, it'd be a sin for me to borrow money. It's not a sin to borrow money. It sure is nice not to borrow it. It sure is nice not for somebody
[00:51:44] to call you every once in a while. When are you going to send that check? Oh, any day now. I'm telling you, it's just any day now. And do you see what God was doing? It is God that
[00:52:01] gives you the power to get wealth in order to, because of of the covenant that El Shaddai had with his people. Praise God. I'll close with this.
[00:52:24] There's a situation on an airplane that I won't go into all of it, but I knew right quick, I had an Ishmael in my hair. And the man that owned it said, Copeland, you know, I own the
[00:52:47] airplane. And anytime that you feel like you need to get out of it, just let me know. Give me two weeks. Well, I let him know. No, he said, I sold your lease. What's the difference in the lease
[00:53:04] and borrowing? None. So I called our bank and I told him what had happened. And I said, I don't mind telling you it's my fault. I should have, I won't go into the whole deal, but I need to come
[00:53:33] out. I need you to come over here and look at this contract. And I told him, I said, now, man, I'm going to tell you right now, this thing is my fault because I shouldn't have gotten
[00:53:45] anything in the first place. And besides that, the Lord didn't stay, tell me to stay out of lease. He told me to stay out of debt. And later he said, a lease doesn't do you
[00:53:55] any good. That's a funny way of borrowing money. And he didn't say anything to me until I got in trouble. So they looked at the contract and they said, well, we have the solution.
[00:54:16] I said, well, we just bought your lease.
[00:54:20] You did what?
[00:54:24] We bought your lease.
[00:54:26] Now you're not under any pressure.
[00:54:34] Now, and I went before the Lord and thanked him for it.
[00:54:41] Now folks, it was less than 30 days.
[00:54:47] A guy walked into our office.
[00:54:49] He said, understand you got a liter of 35 for sale and I'll pay this much no more.
[00:54:59] So of course we took it.
