❓ What do these grades mean?
We do not issue this rating to attack the speaker, but to protect the listener. This church's overall teaching trend consistently deviates from sound doctrine. As per Romans 16:17, we identify these patterns so believers can guard their hearts.
🧐 Overview
Sermon Summary: This sermon passionately explores Jesus' statement 'I am the door' from John 10, correctly identifying Him as the exclusive path to salvation and protection. However, its central analogy of 'keeping the fire going' shifts the focus from the finished work of Christ to the continuous effort of the believer, creating a message that is more about human performance than divine grace.
Big Idea: I am the door... I am the entrance into blessings and also into salvation. [00:32:43 ▶️ 📄]
Pastoral Analysis: The sermon is a well-intentioned exposition of John 10 but is theologically anemic. While it rightly affirms Christ's exclusivity, its application is built on a foundation of moralistic effort, functionally bordering on synergism. The repeated emphasis on human action ('keep pushing,' 'keep praying') as the means of sustaining spiritual life overshadows the Spirit's role in sanctification. Furthermore, numerous claims to subjective authority ('The Lord spoke to me') undermine the objective authority of the text, preventing the sermon from rising above a well-meaning but weak exhortation.
Biblical Parallel(Archetype): Sardis — The sermon has a reputation for life (orthodox text, passionate delivery) but is functionally dead, relying on human effort ('keep wood on the fire') rather than the life-giving power of the Spirit.
🧭 Biblical Alignment Dashboard
Overall Verdict: Theologically Weak
| Category | Status | Reasoning |
|---|---|---|
| Soteriology | ⚠️ WEAK | The sermon presents a functional synergism. While affirming salvation is God's work, the call to action ('give my life to Christ') and the mechanism for spiritual life (human effort) place the decisive role on man's will, obscuring the monergistic nature of grace. |
| Bibliology | ⚠️ WEAK | While the Word is read and referenced, its authority is functionally shared with the speaker's subjective experiences ('The Lord spoke to me'). This creates a dual-source authority model that weakens the sufficiency of Scripture. |
| Hermeneutic | ✅ PASS | The interpretation of the primary passage (John 10) is contextually sound, correctly identifying the historical setting and the meaning of the sheepfold analogy. The weakness is in the application, not the initial interpretation. |
| Theology Proper | ✅ PASS | The sermon affirms a biblical view of God's character, particularly His desire to save and protect His people. There are no errors regarding the nature or attributes of God. |
| Sacramentology | ⚪ N/A | No sacraments (Baptism or Communion) were observed or discussed in the sermon. |
📖 How they Handle Scripture & Jesus
Primary Text: John 10:1-10 (Expository (Deep))
Scripture Saturation: Verses Read: 10 | Referenced: 10 | Alluded: 8
Passages Read Aloud:
Key References: Leviticus, John 9, Acts (Paul and Barnabas appointment), 2 Timothy 2:15, Matthew 6:24, 1 Peter 5:7, James 1:2, Philippians 4:19, John 14:6, John 16:33
Christological Connection: Redemptive Trajectory: The sermon extensively uses Jesus' 'I am the door' statement from John 10, explaining its context within the narrative of the blind man and the Pharisees. It connects Jesus as the exclusive means of salvation, protection, and abundant life, directly linking His identity to the redemptive path for humanity. However, the application often shifts the active agency to human effort.
🧱 Sermon Outline
- Introduction & Context: The Allegation [00:35:11 ▶️ 📄] : Jesus repeats himself because the audience didn't understand. The context is the healing of the blind man in John 9 and Jesus' confrontation with the Pharisees, whom he is exposing as false teachers.
- Point 1: False Teachers (Thieves and Robbers) [00:40:49 ▶️ 📄] : Jesus calls the Pharisees 'thieves and robbers.' This segment discusses how false teachers operate through stealth or force, tickling ears, and leading people astray, contrasting them with true shepherds who are called by God and lead by the Spirit according to the Word of God.
- Point 2: Jesus is the Door (The Announcement) [00:56:24 ▶️ 📄] : Jesus explicitly declares, 'I am the door.' This point includes a physical demonstration of Jesus as the door to the sheepfold, emphasizing that he is the exclusive entrance and protector from spiritual 'wolves' (the devil and false teachers).
- Point 3: The Door to Abundant Life & Refreshment [01:01:03 ▶️ 📄] : Jesus is not just the door to safety and salvation, but also to 'pasture,' representing nourishment, satisfaction, strength, and abundant life. This is connected to the earlier fire analogy, highlighting the need for constant engagement with Jesus for spiritual vitality.
- Point 4: The Exclusive & Inclusive Door [01:04:15 ▶️ 📄] : Jesus is presented as the one and only way to God (exclusive), yet salvation is available to anyone who believes (inclusive). The speaker critiques modern church priorities, such as over-reliance on children's ministry entertainment and chasing worldly success over the Kingdom of God.
- Conclusion & Call to Action: Security & Satisfaction [01:11:54 ▶️ 📄] : Jesus is the gate of security, meaning believers are safe in His care, and the gate of satisfaction, fulfilling the 'God-shaped vacuum' in every soul. The sermon concludes with a call to walk through the door of peace, purpose, healing, and miracles, and an invitation for salvation or a fresh touch from God.
🗝️ Key Topics & Themes
- Jesus as the Door : The central theme, emphasizing Jesus as the exclusive entrance to salvation, blessings, and abundant life.
- False Teachers : Identification and warning against those who teach contrary to God's Word, leading people astray.
- Spiritual Discernment : The importance of knowing God's voice and Word to distinguish true teaching from false.
- Abundant Life : The promise of life in its fullness, found only through Jesus, leading to refreshment and satisfaction.
- Spiritual Vigilance : The need for continuous effort ('keeping wood on the fire') to maintain one's relationship with God and spiritual vitality.
✅ Commendations
Expositional Integrity | Correctly Grounded in the Text
The sermon's foundation is a faithful exposition of John 10. The explanation of the historical context of shepherding, the contrast between the shepherd and the thief, and the identification of Jesus as the exclusive door were clear, accurate, and helpful for the listener.
Christological Clarity | Unyielding on the Exclusivity of Christ
The message was unequivocal that Jesus is the one and only way to salvation, protection, and spiritual nourishment. This vital truth was communicated with passion and conviction, which is a significant strength.
⚠️ Theological Concerns
🟠 Moralistic Drift
Root Cause: Moralistic Drift (Sardis). This error detaches the commands of Scripture from the power of the Gospel. It preaches the Law (the need for a 'fire') without clearly preaching the Grace (Christ is the fire) that enables and sustains obedience.
"It is a battle to keep the fire going. It don't just happen... Today, it still takes wood on the altar. It takes wood this afternoon. It takes wood tonight." [00:27:37 ▶️ 📄]
Correction: The Christian life is not one of mere human effort but of Spirit-empowered effort. While we are called to 'work out' our salvation, it is 'God who works in' us both to will and to do for His good pleasure (Philippians 2:12-13). Our ability to bear fruit comes from abiding in the vine, not from our own strength (John 15:4-5).
🟠 Subjective Authority
Root Cause: Neo-Montanism. This error elevates personal, ongoing revelation to a level that rivals or bypasses the authority of the closed canon of Scripture, denying its sufficiency.
"And the Lord just spoke to me in my heart and my spirit as I was out there putting the wood in the fire that God's people have been sitting on cruise control too long." [00:27:19 ▶️ 📄]
Correction: The Scriptures are 'God-breathed' and sufficient for teaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16-17). The prophetic witness is now closed, and our faith rests on the 'prophetic word more fully confirmed,' to which we do well to pay attention (2 Peter 1:19). The preacher's authority is derived solely from the faithful proclamation of this written Word.
📝 Other Corrections & Notes
- Someone said that about 10% of really what happens in most Pentecostal churches are actually from God. → Correction: This is a subjective and unverifiable generalization presented as a statement of fact. Such broad-brush statements are uncharitable and lack the precision required for sound teaching. (00:49:14 ▶️ 📄)

[00:23:33] [SPEAKER UNKNOWN]:
Amen.
[00:23:34] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_00]:
God is good, isn't He?
[00:23:36] Amen.
[00:23:37] God is good.
[00:23:38] I am thankful for the blessing of the Lord upon our lives and all of His many blessings and all that He's doing.
[00:23:45] Are you thankful?
[00:23:45] We ain't got to wait until Thanksgiving to say, I'm thankful for God.
[00:23:57] Amen.
[00:23:57] Praise the Lord.
[00:23:59] I'm glad to be in the house of the Lord.
[00:24:02] There's no place like being together with God's people.
[00:24:05] Life is hard, isn't it?
[00:24:06] It's difficult.
[00:24:07] Job's hard.
[00:24:08] Family's hard.
[00:24:10] Sometimes it's difficult at school, at work.
[00:24:15] Difficult at home.
[00:24:17] But when we come to the Lord's house, it shouldn't be difficult, right?
[00:24:21] It should be uplifting.
[00:24:23] It should be encouraging.
[00:24:25] It should be challenging.
[00:24:27] Most of all, it should be refreshing in the presence of the Lord.
[00:24:32] So I've come today to say, God, refresh us again.
[00:24:35] Pour your Spirit out upon our lives in a special way.
[00:24:41] I took the kids camping the other day, and I felt like I needed to do that.
[00:24:48] Me and Evan's gone camping several times, and I've never taken Bailey and Luke.
[00:24:54] Evan's gone off of Mary now, so...
[00:24:57] I said, Bailey and Luke, do you want to go?
[00:24:58] And they said, absolutely.
[00:24:59] I was surprised.
[00:25:00] And something the Lord spoke to me out there on that camping trip.
[00:25:04] You know, it's in the most...
[00:25:07] I'll be honest, I hear more from the Lord probably out in regular life than I do sometimes in other places that I seek Him.
[00:25:15] And I was out there at the fire and...
[00:25:18] There's a constant, we don't have any fireplaces in my house, so I'm not disposed to that.
[00:25:23] I didn't grow up with fireplaces and wood stoves.
[00:25:27] We have a bonfire pit and stuff out in the backyard.
[00:25:31] We haven't used it in a while.
[00:25:34] The last time we used it, I think Evan was there, and Evan likes throwing wood in the fire, so I hadn't really paid much attention to it.
[00:25:40] I hadn't thought about it.
[00:25:41] But I was working, and Bailey was doing her thing, and we were trying to keep Luke safe from jumping into the fire or wherever he was doing.
[00:25:52] And so I went and I got some wood, and I...
[00:25:56] We brought it back and we laid it there and got the fire started, took small sticks, right, to get it to where it needs to be at.
[00:26:03] And then as you gradually build it up, it becomes greater.
[00:26:07] One thing about the fire is it's consuming, right?
[00:26:13] It doesn't leave anything to sing.
[00:26:16] It consumes and it takes.
[00:26:20] And you have to constantly tend the fire, right?
[00:26:25] If you put wood in it and you get it going and you just sit back in a little while, you won't have nothing but coals.
[00:26:34] And then the coals go out and you don't have nothing but a warm place where it once was and then there's nothing left there.
[00:26:40] The Lord spoke to me.
[00:26:41] The Bible tells us in Leviticus that the priest's job was to make sure that there was wood always on the altar.
[00:26:52] That there would always be fire.
[00:26:54] and I sat there and I was out there thinking about it and as I kept splitting wood and kept adding wood and we went through one thing and then went through another thing and I'm sitting there thinking I'm like it takes a lot especially when it's cold and it's dark just to stain the fire and the Lord just spoke to me in my heart and my spirit as I was out there putting the wood in the fire that God's people have been sitting on cruise control too long
[00:27:25] The time is dark.
[00:27:28] The spiritual climate is cold.
[00:27:31] And yet we're not putting any more wood on the altar.
[00:27:36] And the fire's gone off.
[00:27:37] It is a battle to keep the fire going.
[00:27:43] It don't just happen.
[00:27:44] It don't just happen because you went to a fire service.
[00:27:51] You could go to revival last week, but guess what?
[00:27:53] Today, it still takes wood on the altar.
[00:27:58] It takes wood this afternoon.
[00:28:00] It takes wood tonight.
[00:28:02] It takes wood when you ride in the morning.
[00:28:05] And I think that sometimes we're raising a generation that has forgot the sacrifice for the fire of God.
[00:28:17] And so the Lord just spoke to me and told me as I was sitting around that fire and as I kept tending the fire, tending the fire, tending the fire, keeping it going, putting air on it, because some of the wood that I bought was I think wet.
[00:28:32] And so I'm waving it and trying to get it going.
[00:28:35] And see, when the wood's not burning correctly, there's a lot of smoke.
[00:28:42] But when there's fire, there's not much smoke.
[00:28:46] And I think there's a lot of smoke in the church, but there's not much fire.
[00:28:54] There's a smell, there's something happening, but there's not transformation taking place.
[00:29:01] And so God help us.
[00:29:03] Help us to keep wood on the fire.
[00:29:06] Be intentional about the things of the Lord.
[00:29:09] Don't just think it's going to happen.
[00:29:11] And you know what?
[00:29:12] It is my job to make sure that when we come to this house, that it's my job to make sure that we keep wood on the fire.
[00:29:23] And any preacher that comes, we told the guys Monday night, that anybody that labors in the Word, you better make sure your life is pleasing to God.
[00:29:31] In such a way that what you're saying and that you're doing brings glory to God and there's a responsibility.
[00:29:38] And I just want to tell you guys, just side note, as I was battling that fire, trying to stay warm, trying to keep it so we could have food and different things that was going on, don't quit.
[00:29:52] Don't quit on what God started in your life.
[00:29:55] Don't quit on what He's began in your life.
[00:29:57] But keep pushing.
[00:29:59] Keep building it in your marriages, in your homes, with your children, in your families, in your relationship with God.
[00:30:06] Don't just set a fire and walk away from it.
[00:30:09] We keep tending it and keeping making sure that it takes place.
[00:30:13] This morning I want to ask us to receive an offering.
[00:30:16] I want you to give.
[00:30:17] Our students are going to Firefall in a couple weeks.
[00:30:20] They're going up to the mountains.
[00:30:21] Some of the adults are going with them and they're going up there and they're going to take time and they're going to go and they're going to worship God and they're going to be up on our campground where our men had our retreat and they're going to be up there with hundreds of other students from all over the state and they're going to be saying, God, send down a fire again in their lives.
[00:30:38] So I want to ask you to help give this morning.
[00:30:40] Be a blessing to the work of the Lord.
[00:30:42] Be a blessing to those students.
[00:30:44] And let God use you in your faithfulness.
[00:30:46] Ushers, if you'll come and help us receive an offering to the Lord.
[00:30:49] And let's give this morning.
[00:30:50] Thank you for giving.
[00:30:51] Thank you for generosity.
[00:30:53] Thank you for making a difference.
[00:30:54] Thank you for helping us.
[00:30:56] The Lord's been speaking some things on my life.
[00:30:58] In the next few weeks, I really want you to invite your family and friends.
[00:31:01] I want to talk about an emphasis on salvation, on an emphasis on evangelism, and I'm going to be breaking it down very simple.
[00:31:07] and some ways that we're going to give some things to you to help you to go out and reach the laws.
[00:31:13] But I want to ask, Father, this offering that we give, we thank you for blessing us.
[00:31:18] God, I thank you for putting everything in my life, Lord, that I can have to do what you've called me to do.
[00:31:24] Lord I give you thanks and praise for helping us be a blessing God not only to those that around us but God far-reaching and we give you thanks for that in Jesus name and everybody said amen God bless you as you give to the Lord this morning thank you Ashley
[00:31:42] Grab your Bibles and turn with me to John chapter 10.
[00:31:46] Another thing that I did learn in this camping trip, it takes an awful lot of money to try to be a homeless person and comfortable.
[00:31:53] Buy a tent, buy stoves, buy the equipment that you need, sleeping bags and all those things.
[00:31:58] I'm like, we could have went and got a really nice hotel and stayed somewhere, guys.
[00:32:02] In my mind I thought, well, what a great opportunity it was though to allow them to experience all of that in life.
[00:32:11] I want to share with you this morning on a topic that the Lord's laid on my heart and in that I just think that
[00:32:17] God will speak to us if we will hear his voice and I want you to grab your Bibles John chapter 10 and when you get there will you stand I've been sharing in the last several weeks on a series on these declarative statements that Jesus made about who he was and this morning I want to share with you that he says I am the door in the King James other versions he calls himself the gate
[00:32:43] And that statement there is saying that I am the entrance into blessings and also into salvation.
[00:32:53] But the Bible says in chapter 10 verses 1 of John, Verily, verily, I say unto you,
[00:33:00] He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and robber.
[00:33:09] But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.
[00:33:14] To him the porter openeth, and the sheep hear his voice.
[00:33:18] He calleth out his own, and sheep by name, and leadeth them out.
[00:33:23] And when he puts forth his own sheep, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice.
[00:33:30] And the stranger will not they follow, but they will flee from him, for they know not the voice of strangers.
[00:33:38] This parable spake Jesus unto them, but they understood not what things which were he spake unto them.
[00:33:45] Then Jesus said unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep, and that ever come before me are thieves and robbers.
[00:33:59] But the sheep did not hear them.
[00:34:03] I am the door.
[00:34:04] By me, if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out and find pasture.
[00:34:13] The thief comes not but to steal and to kill and destroy.
[00:34:19] But I've come that they might have life and they might have it more abundantly.
[00:34:26] Will you join with me in prayer this morning?
[00:34:28] Father, speak to our hearts today.
[00:34:31] Let us receive from you and we will give you thanks and praise for all that you do and say to us and through us.
[00:34:39] And Lord, in the mighty name, we thank you for the anointing of God that helps make preaching easy.
[00:34:46] Father, we thank you for the anointing that touches our bodies, our minds, and our hearts.
[00:34:51] Bless these people today, God.
[00:34:54] And Lord, when we leave here, let us understand you a little bit more.
[00:34:59] And we will give you thanks and praise in Jesus' name.
[00:35:03] And everybody said amen and amen.
[00:35:05] Give the Lord a hand for his word this morning.
[00:35:08] Amen.
[00:35:11] You may be seated.
[00:35:13] You know, when I think about this, I, as a parent, I really don't like repeating myself.
[00:35:20] For some reason, it tends like all of us do at some point in our lives.
[00:35:26] Jesus repeats himself.
[00:35:30] That says something to me just as a parent or as a leader that if I say, Hey Mike, I need you to go out there and do this for me.
[00:35:40] And Mike just sits there and just, I'm like, hold on.
[00:35:43] Mike, I need you to go out there the second time and go do this and that.
[00:35:49] Number one, they didn't hear.
[00:35:50] Number two, they didn't understand.
[00:35:52] And number three, they weren't paying attention.
[00:35:55] Or number four, they just didn't care.
[00:35:58] and what they had going on was way more important than what Jesus had going on in the story so when I look at this the I am statements of Jesus and I want to refresh your memory just for a moment about the things and the teachings of Jesus because sometimes in reading these stories we miss the context of what's taking place
[00:36:20] So this story we need to remember in chapter 9 if you flip over in your Bible and you go to the previous chapter that there is the story of a blind man who was taken by the Pharisees and rather rejoicing about God healing him through Jesus Christ they were upset about him and they were claiming that
[00:36:42] This man that was born blind was because of his family's sin and there was something in the life that caused him to be sinned.
[00:36:51] And the story goes on that the Lord's confrontation with the Pharisees and handling them in front of the masses that there was a story he tried to help them understand that this is not the way of God.
[00:37:03] Jesus was trying to tell them that this is not the way of God they said why is this man blind because of something their family did that caused him to be blind because of sin and he said I want you just to understand something guys this is not the way of God God is not punishing this child God is not creating this hurt and this pain in somebody else's life but rather I want you to hear me he tells them that God
[00:37:28] God is the way of grace and God is the way of mercy and that he offered them that story and it's amazing to me that this boy that Jesus heals them and then he goes and he tells them hey what happened and the parents said oh we're not going to say because we heard that anybody that says that he is the Christ they're going to put out of the church so the parents even jump off of it and says no I'm not going to tell them that Jesus healed them he says the boy's old enough he's a man let him tell you for himself of what happened
[00:37:58] and so now these Pharisees are in this battle with Jesus and Jesus says okay it's my turn to talk and I'm going to give you a story and I'm going to without calling you a thief and a robber and without calling you a sinful man that you are and ungodly and that you're not even part of the kingdom I'm going to give you a story and hopefully in this story you're going to find yourself
[00:38:21] And in that story he opened up with shepherds and sheep.
[00:38:24] Every one of them had an understanding of that time.
[00:38:27] In Christ's day they were kept two ways.
[00:38:29] In the city they were kept in little pens or corrals and shepherds would bring their animals into the city and there would be a public pen and all of the flocks would come in there and there would be a guy, a porter or a guy that stood at the gate and that would watch
[00:38:43] Let's go to the next chapter.
[00:38:59] all of the other ones would just keep walking around trying to find food not paying attention and he would whistle and say come on sheep let's go and all of a sudden yep that's daddy I'm going to follow him we're going to walk out of there and all of them just led their little way out of the pen and left the other ones there why because their sheep
[00:39:16] The Word of the Lord.
[00:39:33] and more and more and more and more and more
[00:39:59] Any robbers or any wild animals that would try to come in across it and he would literally lay in the door.
[00:40:06] And so he would refer to himself as the door.
[00:40:09] I believe Jesus did this for both reasons.
[00:40:12] Number one, for two distinct reasons.
[00:40:14] Jesus was trying to expose false teaching in the day.
[00:40:17] There was so much false teaching of the Pharisees and secondly, I believe that he said, I want to introduce myself as God.
[00:40:24] I want to introduce myself as that there is one way and Jesus is talking in verses 1 through 6 of John chapter 10 He's telling them about the communal pen where all the shepherds would come together and Jesus was trying to show them to help the Pharisees understand that there really wasn't shepherds but they were false teachers they were thieves and robbers they were not part of the kingdom of God and they were not spiritual shepherds like he was
[00:40:49] So number one, I want to give you that there was an allegation that was made.
[00:40:52] There was a charge.
[00:40:54] There was something that was spoken about them.
[00:40:56] In verse 1, he says this, I assure you, anyone who doesn't enter the sheep pen by the gate but climbs in some other way is a thief and robber.
[00:41:07] Access to the sheep pen could only be accessed one of two ways.
[00:41:11] Either you entered by the way of the porter,
[00:41:13] You walk through the door or you snuck over the wall one way or the other.
[00:41:19] And Jesus made it very clear that the teachers of the law and the Pharisees who regarded themselves as shepherds of the people He was saying there are a true shepherd goes through the door.
[00:41:31] Jesus calls these men thieves and robbers it's a pretty strong statement that he says to them one is one who steals with stealth like somebody who goes into your house when you're not there grabs some stuff and leaves without notice he calls them that there's some that has slipped in they took in and they've
[00:41:55] They take things from you, but you don't even realize they've taken it.
[00:41:58] And then he says, but there's other group of you too, but you're not just sneaky little thieves, you're robbers.
[00:42:04] And when we think of a robber, we think of somebody that points a gun or holds a knife and goes up to them and takes it by force.
[00:42:11] and he and hides it under there and the other one he says you are false teachers he says you guys that are out here in this world you're false teachers he said you pharisees are false teachers you're sitting here complaining that this man has received sight you're sitting here getting upset that the mercy of God and the goodness of God was shown to somebody and you call yourself a shepherd he says what's wrong with
[00:42:35] You're a bunch of thieves.
[00:42:37] You're a bunch of robbers.
[00:42:38] You're not pleasing to God.
[00:42:40] I want to tell you something.
[00:42:42] Anybody in their right mind, if somebody receives the goodness of God in their life, if God saves their soul from hell, I don't care who they was before Christ, we should be thankful and praise the Lord that He changed them.
[00:42:56] Amen.
[00:42:59] Amen.
[00:43:00] I dare say that the vast majority of the Pharisees thought they were doing the right thing.
[00:43:06] I believe they did.
[00:43:07] I believe that they thought that religion without relationship mattered.
[00:43:14] But Christianity is relationship with religion.
[00:43:18] There is a part of faith that you've got to have in God.
[00:43:21] And you've got to have this relationship.
[00:43:23] It isn't a coincidence that Jesus refers to the sheep.
[00:43:26] Why?
[00:43:27] Remember the story.
[00:43:28] Sheep are dumb.
[00:43:30] We went to the fair.
[00:43:31] Them sheep, all the animals at the fair were really pretty animals, right?
[00:43:35] The cows.
[00:43:36] I was like, wow, we don't ever see no cows in the field out here like this.
[00:43:39] Cows was walking in there.
[00:43:40] Man, everything was clean on them.
[00:43:44] Man, these are some beautiful animals.
[00:43:48] They walk in and they're judging them.
[00:43:49] We go over to where the sheep are.
[00:43:51] The sheep are all shaved down.
[00:43:53] Look like they're wearing these little boots that women wear with fur on top of them all the way.
[00:43:57] Just their little feet and their legs had fur on them.
[00:44:00] Clean.
[00:44:01] They're a little stylish little sheep.
[00:44:05] Pigs were clean.
[00:44:06] The little babies were running around.
[00:44:08] Luke said he wanted the pigs.
[00:44:10] We're not bringing pigs home.
[00:44:13] Everything was beautiful, but them sheep walking around in there, they're not very intelligent animals.
[00:44:18] And sometimes we're not always the most intelligent.
[00:44:25] I'm not saying you are, I'm not.
[00:44:29] Sometimes I'm dumb, D-U-M-B, dumb.
[00:44:32] Sometimes we follow someone because we like what they say.
[00:44:39] We like how they rub our, tickle our ears.
[00:44:44] We like how they rub our tummies.
[00:44:47] Not realizing that sometimes those that are the kindest to us are leading us astray.
[00:44:54] Sometimes those that are nice to us... See, I had to learn this through life because I grew up in the kingdom and I had a lot of family members that were not in the kingdom and I saw a very opposite lifestyle of that.
[00:45:05] But I'll be honest with you, I had rose-colored glasses on in my life for a lot of part of it because I thought everybody loved everybody.
[00:45:13] I thought everybody did stuff for everybody because they actually wanted to do kind things for everybody not because they had ulterior motives behind what they're doing I thought that generally people that were kind right that but I had to learn as a kid that the man in the van that said I got puppies and I want to give you one right that's not good we don't go over there to that guy or the person in the corner that says I got a piece of candy that I want to give you no that's not kindness there's something going on there
[00:45:43] and the lessons that we were taught as children we forget to apply them as an adult and we don't realize the problem is it isn't a man with some candy or a man with a van and some puppies but it's people behind pulpits that are telling us things that makes us feel good that makes us feel happy and makes us feel better about ourselves and they're all the while while they're rubbing our heads they're leading us to destruction
[00:46:11] Amen!
[00:46:13] So we need to be very careful and understand that sometimes people can lead us astray that are not always the best.
[00:46:22] So how do we identify good from bad?
[00:46:26] False teachers are anyone who expose the instruction for a living that is contrary to the Word of God.
[00:46:37] And I don't care if they are a preacher,
[00:46:40] I don't care if they're a musician I don't care if they're a singer I don't care what their theology is if they tell you something that I don't care if it's your mama or daddy if they tell you something the Bible says if an angel if some an angel shows up in front of you and says something that is different than what God's Word says he says let them be accursed he says remove them get them away from your life
[00:47:10] False teachers are telling you to live lives that are contrary to the Word of God.
[00:47:17] Let me tell you, the world should not be giving you your theology.
[00:47:22] The world should not be telling you how to serve Jesus.
[00:47:26] The Word of God is our instructions.
[00:47:29] Hallelujah.
[00:47:31] Good shepherds are called by God.
[00:47:34] There is an anointing of God on their life.
[00:47:37] The one who enters by the gate is the shepherd of the sheep.
[00:47:41] See in a few minutes that the gate refers to Jesus.
[00:47:43] Thus, a good shepherd is identifiable.
[00:47:47] There's no hidden things taking place.
[00:47:50] He doesn't obtain position by the ways of the world.
[00:47:54] But by the Word of God.
[00:47:56] His leading is by the Spirit.
[00:47:59] False teachers.
[00:48:00] Listen, I'm going to say it.
[00:48:02] False teachers gain their position through legacy,
[00:48:08] Through politics, through self-declaration, and human ingenuity.
[00:48:15] I'm going to be honest with you there.
[00:48:17] I don't care if your grandpa was a preacher and your daddy was a preacher.
[00:48:22] Don't mean God's called you to be a preacher.
[00:48:26] I don't care if this person did it and that person did it.
[00:48:31] It doesn't mean that you're supposed to do it.
[00:48:34] It doesn't matter if you can declare it unto the world.
[00:48:38] Well, I'm this and I'm that.
[00:48:40] That does not mean that you are called.
[00:48:42] There has to be an anointing on your life.
[00:48:45] You know, it's amazing to me.
[00:48:46] I was reading the other day in the Scripture where the Bible says that the Holy Ghost interrupted service.
[00:48:51] You know, we like the Holy Spirit moving and speaking and it's great and awesome and it's wonderful and we appreciate that when it's the Lord and when it's in the right place and the right time.
[00:48:59] But let me tell you, I'm going to be honest with you, those moments got to be very from God.
[00:49:05] But listen to me, the scripture says that he interrupted, the Holy Ghost interrupted a service and said, I want you to appoint Paul and Barnabas for the work of the ministry.
[00:49:14] Let me tell you, when is the last time, and I love all these interpretations, someone said that about 10% of really what happens in most Pentecostal churches are actually from God.
[00:49:23] It's a lot of crazy other stuff.
[00:49:25] but he said when is the last time that the Holy Ghost spoke in a service and said appoint this one for the work of the Lord more than oh I see your pain and sorrows and heartaches but this one the Lord said this is who I have called talk about Holy Ghost showing up that's what he said that the Spirit did there was an anointing that rested upon them that said I called them
[00:49:54] There are many people that are false teachers and false shepherds that want to do this without the anointing of God.
[00:50:03] And I'm going to be honest with you, anointing isn't screaming, hollering, shouting, hooping, and carrying on.
[00:50:09] Anointing is there's a place in your life that somebody knows you've been with God.
[00:50:14] There's something different about your life.
[00:50:17] Good shepherds are led by God and they lead their sheep to God.
[00:50:21] See, I want you to understand something.
[00:50:23] When the porter opens the door, guess why the porter does?
[00:50:26] The porter opens the door for the shepherd that says, I want you to speak to my sheep.
[00:50:29] And then when he calls his sheep, the sheep hear them by name and they go out and it goes ahead of them.
[00:50:34] He does not carve a path that seems right to himself.
[00:50:36] But he understands that he's received the divine commission of God.
[00:50:41] What is the divine commission of every shepherd that God has called?
[00:50:44] To win people to faith.
[00:50:46] That's what he's called us to do.
[00:50:48] He's called us to grow them up in the faith.
[00:50:51] Then he calls us to send them out to share the faith.
[00:50:54] It's always about the Lord.
[00:50:56] Everything that we do has to be about God.
[00:50:59] We bring them in, we build them up, and we send them out.
[00:51:03] All in the name of Jesus Christ.
[00:51:05] Hallelujah.
[00:51:06] False teachers have their own agenda.
[00:51:09] Their agenda is to raise more and more money, get more and more money.
[00:51:13] You know, more and more jets, more and more planes, more and more things.
[00:51:19] If preachers and teachers are teaching a message contrary to the Word of God, they're leading astray.
[00:51:26] He said, I told you that you did not bring your tithe.
[00:51:28] You know, I think so many times in church, if I would say this in this church this morning, if this would become my message, Brother Mike,
[00:51:36] Y'all don't got to pay 10% to the Lord.
[00:51:38] You don't even got to give to the Lord just whatever you feel in your heart if you don't feel like doing it.
[00:51:42] It's so good.
[00:51:43] Okay, no problem.
[00:51:44] Jesus loves you anyway.
[00:51:45] Hallelujah.
[00:51:46] Some people be like, boy, I've been waiting for that one to come a long time.
[00:51:48] You know, I really been wanting that new motorcycle, new car, new this and that.
[00:51:51] I can use that for the Lord, for my thing.
[00:51:54] If I told, if I said this morning, boy, people like that.
[00:51:56] They'll start coming.
[00:51:57] That church don't require.
[00:51:58] I had a pastor tell me one time, he said, I don't tell my church God only requires seven.
[00:52:03] He said it'd be better than the three to give.
[00:52:06] If I told people this morning to say, hey, the sin that you've particularly been drawn to is really not a problem, God understands.
[00:52:14] You know what would happen?
[00:52:15] People would start coming to church.
[00:52:16] Well, he's not really, they're not calling that sin.
[00:52:19] They're calling that just, you know, it's just who you are.
[00:52:24] Well, you don't even have to say it that way.
[00:52:28] You don't have to say that it's okay.
[00:52:30] Just never say it's wrong.
[00:52:34] Right?
[00:52:36] The omission of communicating that it's wrong is just telling everybody else it's right.
[00:52:43] And the problem is, is many would love that.
[00:52:46] Instead of saying, but the true shepherds say, I want to point you to Christ.
[00:52:51] Christ says, there's a way.
[00:52:53] False shepherds say, I want to find out what I like and what I enjoy.
[00:52:56] And true shepherds speak the things of God.
[00:52:58] The shepherds follow his sheep.
[00:52:59] Why?
[00:53:00] Because they recognize his voice.
[00:53:02] The first thing that you will know about any godly man or woman of God that speaks the word of God is that he speaks not his words, but the words of the Lord.
[00:53:09] and if truth gets watered down you start feeling good about yourself and your sin you start feeling good about and the reason you worry is because you've been sucked into a lie God's word is God's spirit and God's man will never listen to me God's word God's spirit and God's man will never allow you to live in a perpetual state of sin without confrontation without conviction and without chastisement from the Lord
[00:53:39] God's word, God's man, and God's spirit will not allow you to live in sin.
[00:53:44] Every scripture is inspired by God.
[00:53:46] It's a sword that pierces both our joints and marrow of our life.
[00:53:52] They equip God's people, prepared to do good works in the work of the Lord.
[00:53:56] My job is to do the best of my ability to share with you truth.
[00:54:00] And I want you to hear me.
[00:54:01] It's not my job.
[00:54:03] My job is not this, to convict you.
[00:54:07] My job is not to convert you.
[00:54:09] My job is simply to convey the words of Jesus.
[00:54:18] That's all my job is.
[00:54:22] I can't change no one.
[00:54:24] Only God can.
[00:54:27] I can put condemnation on people but condemnation doesn't bring you to God.
[00:54:35] Condemnation brings you to shame.
[00:54:37] Condemnation brings you to a place where you're always retreating and pulling away.
[00:54:42] But conviction brings you to Jesus and Jesus washes you of your sins and washes them away.
[00:54:48] Praise God.
[00:54:49] We need the Word of the Lord.
[00:54:51] They will never follow a stranger.
[00:54:55] Why?
[00:54:56] They run from Him.
[00:54:57] You know, the more we know the voice of the Lord, the more we follow the voice of the Lord.
[00:55:03] And the more we know the voice of the Lord, the more the voices of strangers become distinct in our life.
[00:55:08] People in the world seldom get led astray.
[00:55:11] People that are in the Word seldom walk away from God.
[00:55:14] Because why?
[00:55:15] They know false teaching and false doctrine.
[00:55:18] And they recognize it and they flee from it and they run from it.
[00:55:21] You know, if we're being led astray by the wiles of the world, the instruction of the false teachers, can I be honest with you?
[00:55:26] If we're being led by all this stupid stuff, number one, you're not probably saved, and number two, you're probably a baby Christian.
[00:55:33] If you're constantly being drug into every crazy, foolish stuff that's out here...
[00:55:37] I remember years ago there was this preacher that came to Concord and Rowan County and he was kind of a big name there for a little bit.
[00:55:44] A lot of people followed him.
[00:55:45] He was very charismatic.
[00:55:47] He was talking about kicking people in the stomach and kicking people in the head and all kinds of stuff.
[00:55:52] It was crazy.
[00:55:53] Thousands of people gathered in a tent out there and followed his foolishness.
[00:55:56] Come find out he's having all these affairs, all this stuff's going on.
[00:55:59] It's just chaos and crazy.
[00:56:01] As soon as I heard some of that stuff, I'm like, this is not right with God.
[00:56:04] The Word of the Lord will let you know what's right and what's wrong.
[00:56:09] You've got to follow the Word and the only way to grow through is allowing the Word to get in to change your life.
[00:56:15] So the study to show yourself approved, a workman who not needs to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word, handling the Word of God with accuracy.
[00:56:24] So there's an announcement.
[00:56:25] Jesus says something.
[00:56:26] Okay, He tells them this in verses 6 through 10.
[00:56:28] He says, but they don't understand what I'm telling them.
[00:56:31] He says, they're not hearing it.
[00:56:32] So Jesus said, I assure you, I am the door.
[00:56:37] I am the gate he says so he says and all of who came before me are thieves and robbers and the sheep didn't listen to them
[00:56:47] I'm the door.
[00:56:49] If anyone enters by me, he will be saved.
[00:56:52] I will come in and he will go out and find pasture.
[00:56:54] Here's where I find Jesus transitions in here to show the people who he really is.
[00:56:59] To show those that are living out in the pastures or out in the fields in the country.
[00:57:03] Remember, so it's very interesting here.
[00:57:07] Andrew, come up here real quick.
[00:57:10] Come here, Sloan.
[00:57:11] Come here real quick.
[00:57:11] Help me.
[00:57:13] I want you to grab a couple chairs.
[00:57:17] We'll use these.
[00:57:20] Okay, I want you to put these in kind of like a corral, a little circle.
[00:57:24] A little circle, leave an opening for me.
[00:57:25] A little circle.
[00:57:27] He says, let me show you something about what's going on.
[00:57:30] He says here, remember in the story of those out on the sheep, the shepherd creates a boundary line.
[00:57:37] He says, and so what happens is these are really close together and the sheep can't get out.
[00:57:48] So what happens is, is now the shepherd says, okay, I'm placing you into this area in my life.
[00:57:57] But then he does something that is absolutely amazing.
[00:58:00] Andrew, I want you to lay down in the door.
[00:58:02] I want you to lay down.
[00:58:05] Block the gate.
[00:58:06] Nope, you've got to get over.
[00:58:07] You've got to cut the whole gate.
[00:58:08] You've got to get it.
[00:58:08] You can't let them slip out.
[00:58:09] Them sheep are wily little things.
[00:58:13] Jesus says, I am the door.
[00:58:19] He says, you're not getting any other way except walking through me.
[00:58:27] And the reality of it is this, is there's too many people trying to come into the kingdom through good works,
[00:58:35] through going to church because mom and daddy was a Christian because I read this book I attended his seminar I did this and that and he says no you're not it he says this this person can't well I you know baptism I got baptized I went to a church and they had a big party and we all got baptized and I'm a Christian no baptism doesn't save you either you must come through Jesus
[00:59:06] Jesus said, I am the door.
[00:59:10] You can get up, Andrew.
[00:59:10] I ain't gonna make you lay there the whole time.
[00:59:12] I want you to understand something.
[00:59:15] We've got to realize this in life upon shepherding sheep.
[00:59:17] Y'all go sit down.
[00:59:18] That sometimes in the life that he looks at the story of what's going on and how there's this narrow, I read the story of this where the sheep would go in at night and there was this narrow opening and this guy was there and he was talking to this Palestinian that was in that place that knew nothing about the Lord.
[00:59:36] And he said, bring your sheep into this place and they brought their sheep in there.
[00:59:39] There was no door there, there was just walls.
[00:59:43] The American asked the Palestinian man, said, where is the door at?
[00:59:48] So the sheep don't leave.
[00:59:50] This man's not a Christian.
[00:59:52] He doesn't know the word.
[00:59:54] And he tells the American, I am the door.
[00:59:57] I am the door.
[00:59:59] He simply, but there is no door.
[01:00:03] I am the door.
[01:00:05] I want you to understand something meaning that the wolf can't cross and go and get the sheep because he has to cross the shepherd
[01:00:17] See, some of us are so worried about the devil getting us all the time.
[01:00:22] Why don't you get into the fold?
[01:00:24] Why don't you get into where you're supposed to be at with your brothers and sisters in the house of God and in faith and allow Jesus to protect you?
[01:00:34] I'm going to be honest with you, I don't got to worry about no devil in hell trying to attack me because Jesus is the door and the only way the wolf and the lion can come into where I'm at is he's got to go through the door.
[01:00:47] The door through Jesus Christ.
[01:00:50] And if He allows it, my God, there's got to be a greater purpose than I could ever imagine in my life.
[01:00:58] I'm the door.
[01:01:00] But not just the door to the fold.
[01:01:03] I love this.
[01:01:05] I'm the door to the pasture.
[01:01:10] See, some of us are dying.
[01:01:12] We're weary.
[01:01:14] We're tired.
[01:01:16] were worn out see thus not only is he the door to when you're saved safe and secure but he's the door to pasture he's a door to where we are nourished he's the door to where we are satisfied he is the door to where we are refreshed
[01:01:40] to where we receive strength verse 9 I'm the gate I'm the door and if anyone enters by me will be saved and will come in and go out and find pasture a thief comes not only but the steal kill and destroy
[01:01:54] But I have come.
[01:01:55] Why?
[01:01:56] Because I'm the door.
[01:01:58] I've come that you might have life and have it more abundantly.
[01:02:04] Let me tell you, the reason we're not having life and having it more abundantly is because we're not going through Jesus.
[01:02:12] I'm going to tell you, your worship song isn't it.
[01:02:15] Your friends, your favorite, this is not.
[01:02:17] Jesus is the door to your refreshing.
[01:02:20] Jesus is the door to your nourishment.
[01:02:22] Jesus is the door to your hope.
[01:02:24] Everything that you have need of is found in Jesus Christ.
[01:02:29] Can somebody say Amen?
[01:02:30] I've come that they might have life and have it more abundantly.
[01:02:38] We quote that Bible verse all the time.
[01:02:40] The thief cometh not but the steal, kill, and destroy.
[01:02:42] Who is the thief?
[01:02:44] Who's the thief?
[01:02:45] He's talking about the devil.
[01:02:46] And he's also talking about false teachers.
[01:02:51] because he said you're thieves and robbers the thief number not but to steal kill and destroy he said but I've come that you might have life can I just be honest with you I feel in my heart
[01:03:09] As I put that wood on that fire the other night and I kept putting that wood and I kept placing it on there and kept keeping the fire going to keep us warm to keep all the things that was happening and I thought my Lord I got to stay close to this to tend this to keep make sure it needs where it needs to be and I thought how much
[01:03:25] We are to present our bodies a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto the Lord, which is our reasonable service.
[01:03:30] And we have to lay ourselves on the altar and on the fire and allow God to do what He wants to do in our life.
[01:03:35] And I said, Lord, there's so many of us that are not being refreshed.
[01:03:39] We're not being refilled.
[01:03:40] We're not being what we need.
[01:03:41] We're dry.
[01:03:42] We're barren.
[01:03:43] We're tired.
[01:03:43] We're worn out.
[01:03:44] we seek for places that satisfy our soul I want to tell you something only Jesus Christ can do it you can run to every preacher every revival every service and those are nice moments but they close the doors shut and they cut the lights off and you got to go back home and you got to keep going through Jesus you got to keep praying you got to keep fasting you got to keep reading the word you got to keep trusting him putting wood on the fire saying Lord you're the door of the refreshment of my life Hallelujah
[01:04:15] The gate is exclusive and I'm closing.
[01:04:18] The gate is exclusive to salvation is this.
[01:04:21] It's a declaration.
[01:04:22] Jesus said, I am the one and only.
[01:04:27] I am the sole way to God.
[01:04:31] This is fundamental truth for Christianity.
[01:04:33] There is no other way to God.
[01:04:38] There is no truth about God and no life without God.
[01:04:47] God is everything that we need.
[01:04:50] Can I be honest with you?
[01:04:51] This is the thing that the Lord has spoken to my heart.
[01:04:55] We have become intoxicated with the drinks of the world that we have not pursued the things of the kingdom.
[01:05:03] You know, I am thinking, can I just veer off on a rabbit trail just for a moment?
[01:05:06] Am I allowed to do that?
[01:05:08] I'm thankful my mom, I look better than my mom, my daddy just celebrated 70 years, I'm thankful God, he gave him another year, last year on his birthday he almost died, him and Hannah had a bad car accident, still got effects from some of that stuff that's going on, but I'm thankful that he's still got breath in his body, he's in his right mind, he's able to move around, and God took care of him.
[01:05:24] We just celebrated 70 years for my dad, and I'm thankful for that.
[01:05:29] That's an answer to prayer.
[01:05:31] But I'm thankful
[01:05:34] That out of all the things that my mom and daddy gave me, Timothy and Hannah, is that they gave us Jesus Christ.
[01:05:49] I'm veering because they drug us to church when we didn't want to go to church.
[01:06:01] They drug us to Sunday school
[01:06:04] Sunday morning, Sunday night, Wednesday night And if we were sick, you know what they told us?
[01:06:13] They got oil at church and we'll pray for you That God will heal your body And I want to just tell you, listen to me I'm preaching better than I've done the whole morning There is a lie from the enemy
[01:06:32] that has come into the kingdom that told us that we can pursue this and that.
[01:06:40] That we can chase money and God.
[01:06:43] That we can chase fame and Jesus.
[01:06:46] That we can chase success and Jesus.
[01:06:49] I'm gonna tell you he says you're either gonna love one and hate the other or you're gonna cling to one and let go of the other hear me I thought about it I've prayed about it I said God help us you are the door I want to tell you I want my kids to be successful I want them to be able to pay their bills but I'm gonna tell you at the end of the day I want them to know Jesus Christ as the full part of their sin I want them to know that heaven is real hell is real and that they need salvation in their life
[01:07:21] We're cheapening our children and letting them think everything else is important besides the kingdom.
[01:07:30] and we wonder why our kids got so much anxiety and fear and stress it's because they ain't sitting in a little Bible class let me tell you something we have drawn to where have we have moved even children's I look on Facebook every day on the Facebook them people I'm looking for church I'm looking what got great kids ministry got this and that they don't care if the words preached they don't care for false prophets in there telling them they're all going to heaven ain't nobody going to hell as long as their kids are having fun in the class back there
[01:07:58] God help us that our children describe that they decide the climate for our spiritual life.
[01:08:05] Oh, I'm preaching now, Jesus.
[01:08:10] Our children should not be leading our families when it comes to the Kingdom of God.
[01:08:21] We allow it.
[01:08:22] Who's got the most wheels, little bells, buzzers, lights?
[01:08:26] I'm all about trying to do what we can to do it in the very best we can.
[01:08:30] But Jesus didn't say, I'm the door plus.
[01:08:34] I'm the door, it is Jesus.
[01:08:36] Can we be content if we sat in this room and we sang acapella and we read out the Bible and we just declared the goodness of God because there are people in other countries that don't got a guitar, don't got a sound system, don't got a stage and they're hiding in underground places and they're sharing about Jesus and they're dying for their faith and we can't even come to church.
[01:09:03] Makes me sick.
[01:09:05] There are people all over this world that are deciding will I live or die today whether I will serve my Jesus.
[01:09:14] And we decide whether I go church or not because I don't have the right outfit or I got a sniffle or somebody didn't shake my hand.
[01:09:23] If there's ever been false doctrine, teach it.
[01:09:24] It's in the church in America.
[01:09:28] I feel the Holy Ghost.
[01:09:30] If there has ever been such lies that has been told
[01:09:35] Jesus said, I am the door.
[01:09:37] I'm the door.
[01:09:39] I've learned that if I walk through the door with Jesus, He'll lead me to pasture.
[01:09:43] He'll lead me to places that I can walk in.
[01:09:46] It's an inclusive invitation.
[01:09:47] Anyone who enters, salvation is available to anyone who will believe.
[01:09:51] There's only a select few.
[01:09:52] There's only this group of people.
[01:09:54] It's not based on your efforts or ability, looks or deeds.
[01:09:57] It's solely based upon the work of God.
[01:10:00] Salvation.
[01:10:01] Why is it exclusive?
[01:10:02] Because Christ died for us.
[01:10:07] It's inclusive because Jesus died for all who believe.
[01:10:11] Help me close.
[01:10:12] Help me come up here, Ms. Ashley.
[01:10:13] I want you to help me pray as we get ready to keep going.
[01:10:16] Come on up here.
[01:10:16] I want you to help me.
[01:10:19] Hallelujah.
[01:10:21] Hallelujah.
[01:10:22] Thank you, Lord.
[01:10:25] Thank you, Lord.
[01:10:32] Thank you, Lord.
[01:10:39] Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah
[01:11:10] I don't have an interpretation.
[01:11:11] Does somebody else have it?
[01:11:19] We're going to go on.
[01:11:20] The Lord just blesses us sometimes and touches us with the Spirit.
[01:11:25] Can I just say something to you?
[01:11:26] Jesus is the door.
[01:11:29] He is exclusive and Him alone deserves the praise and the glory that He's worthy of.
[01:11:38] He is the gate of security.
[01:11:41] Meaning that it must cross through Him to get to where we're at.
[01:11:48] How does the enemy come in?
[01:11:51] He can only come through the door because I'm part of the fold.
[01:11:55] Will you stand all over the place right now?
[01:11:56] Lift your hands up toward heaven.
[01:11:57] Father, we just love You right now.
[01:11:59] Just take a moment right now and just love Him.
[01:12:01] Father, we just love You.
[01:12:03] Thank You for Your Holy Spirit.
[01:12:05] Thank you God for touching your people.
[01:12:07] Thank you for putting your spirit upon us.
[01:12:10] Bless us oh God.
[01:12:12] Thank you for your Holy Spirit just transforming us.
[01:12:15] Giving us strength.
[01:12:17] Giving us mercy and touch.
[01:12:21] I thank you for that God.
[01:12:24] I thank you for that God.
[01:12:26] There's a gate of security.
[01:12:29] Meaning that not only those who have eternal life
[01:12:33] But I'm going to be honest with you, there's security here on this life.
[01:12:37] He takes care of us.
[01:12:40] God wants me to know that no matter how great a trial your temptation is, that we're safe in His care.
[01:12:49] No matter what you are facing, hear me this morning, I feel the Lord speak that in my spirit, that you are safe in His care.
[01:12:58] He tells us this, trust me.
[01:13:02] Castor cares upon me.
[01:13:08] He tells us that consider all things joy in Him.
[01:13:18] And believe He will supply all of my needs according to His riches and glory.
[01:13:26] Can somebody just say, thank you Jesus.
[01:13:29] You're my security.
[01:13:30] You're my safety.
[01:13:33] You're my work.
[01:13:34] You're my Holy Spirit, God, that works in us.
[01:13:39] God wants me to know that I am His child.
[01:13:43] I am in His care.
[01:13:45] I am His and He is mine.
[01:13:52] As Andrew and them so beautifully just showed us that when we get in the fold, that Jesus is the one that stands in that door.
[01:14:01] Whatever's been coming into your life, if you're a child of God, you gotta understand that He's the door.
[01:14:09] I think about all the things that has came into my life.
[01:14:12] Can I just be truthful with this?
[01:14:13] All of the challenges.
[01:14:14] I think about the accident that was on my mind this past week.
[01:14:17] I think about my dad.
[01:14:18] I'll never forget hearing daddy in there in the hospital as his legs were broken and ankles and all these bones and ribs and all this stuff was broken and shattered that they were disconnected from the bones and they were laying on the side and they had to reset them and they were pulling bones and pulling feet and they made a step out of the room and was down the hall and I heard daddy in there hollering
[01:14:39] That put him in his sleep or something but he still was in there hollering.
[01:14:43] And I'll never forget the emotion that I felt when I heard dad in there hollering while they was resetting those bombs.
[01:14:53] And I remember feeling a sense of hopelessness.
[01:14:58] And the Lord just spoke to me this week when I was thinking about this and was reminding and talking about what God saved him from.
[01:15:05] I think about Brother Scott.
[01:15:08] Healed of cancer, not in his body.
[01:15:13] I think about others in this room who God's done something for.
[01:15:17] But you've walked through some hard places.
[01:15:21] But let me just ask you this.
[01:15:23] I know what you've walked through.
[01:15:26] But Kevin, what did he keep us from?
[01:15:33] What did he keep us from?
[01:15:37] That could have happened.
[01:15:40] I know our troubles have been great and the Bible says in this life you're going to have trouble.
[01:15:44] Tribulation.
[01:15:46] And it's going to be difficult, but I want you to know that you're going to be alright.
[01:15:51] Because not only is He the gate, but He is the gate of satisfaction.
[01:15:57] He came to satisfy the wrath of God and bring us into relationship with the Father.
[01:16:02] He put a God-shaped vacuum inside of everyone in our souls and He gave to lead us in purpose.
[01:16:08] He wants us to have joy, fulfillment of His presence.
[01:16:12] As believers, we'll never find fulfillment in this world because God, jealousy.
[01:16:19] He says, I'm not going to allow you to love this and love me.
[01:16:23] God's jealousy, if you're His, He's never going to allow you to worship this and not worship me.
[01:16:29] He's going to make you feel so crummy and terrible on the inside that He's going to say, you've got to worship me and me alone.
[01:16:35] So this morning, God help us.
[01:16:38] To realize you're the door, you're the gate.
[01:16:41] Will you just raise those hands right where you are.
[01:16:43] Thank you Holy Spirit that's already been in this room.
[01:16:45] Holy Spirit touch us, fill us, transform us oh God.
[01:16:50] Work in us Lord for your glory.
[01:16:52] God I thank you for what you're doing in our lives.
[01:16:55] You satisfy our soul with good things.
[01:16:59] You satisfy our soul God.
[01:17:01] Father I thank you Jesus.
[01:17:04] For your hope, your help.
[01:17:08] I thank you God that you protected us from every bit of evil that would come in our lives.
[01:17:13] And I just pray, Father, by the power of the Holy Ghost, God, that we walk into places of rest.
[01:17:24] We walk in places where our needs have been met.
[01:17:27] Our desires have been fulfilled.
[01:17:31] that the soul of us have been refreshed and redeemed God we love you in this room Lord right now with every head bowed and every eye closed I want to ask this question Jesus said he's the door he's the way he's the truth he's the life he's the light of the world he tells us all of these I am statements this morning if you don't know Jesus I want to give you a chance today to make it right with God
[01:17:59] Right now, with every head bowed, every eye closed, Jesus said, I am the door.
