🧐 Overview
Theological Verdict & Summary
Sermon Summary: An exploration of Jerusalem's central role in biblical prophecy and the urgency of the Second Coming.
Pastoral Analysis: This sermon presents a passionate case for the literal fulfillment of prophecy in modern geopolitical events, specifically linking the 1967 Six-Day War to the end times. While the speaker demonstrates a deep love for Israel and a desire for Christian-Jewish unity, the theological framework is compromised by a rigid dispensationalism that prioritizes physical Jerusalem over the spiritual church. The message lacks the anchoring power of the Gospel, relying instead on moral exhortation and geopolitical observation, which weakens the congregation's reliance on Christ's finished work.
Biblical Parallel (Archetype): Pergamum — The sermon exhibits significant theological compromise through the integration of cultural accommodation and worldly geopolitical frameworks into biblical teaching. By anchoring redemptive history in modern political events and identifying the physical city of Jerusalem as the church's headquarters, the teaching tolerates a form of syncretism that blurs the distinction between the spiritual kingdom of Christ and earthly empires. This reflects a 'Pergamum' state where the church's boundaries are compromised by cultural and political ideologies, resulting in weak theological precision despite the absence of outright heresy.
Big Idea: Jerusalem is the eternal, divinely chosen center of biblical prophecy and God's redemptive plan, culminating in the return of Christ. [00:00:00 ▶️ 📄]

🧭 Biblical Alignment Dashboard
Overall Verdict: Compromised / Weak
| Category | Status | Reasoning |
|---|---|---|
| Gospel Presentation | ❌ FAIL | The Gospel Engine is not intact. The Safe Harbor mechanism failed, indicating that the sermon relied on moralistic exhortation and behavioral commands without explicitly anchoring the congregation's response to the Holy Spirit or the grace of the Gospel. |
| Soteriology | ⚠️ WEAK | Salvation is implicitly tied to ethnic identity and geopolitical alignment rather than solely to faith in Christ, weakening the universality of the Gospel. |
| Bibliology | ⚠️ WEAK | Interpretation of prophecy is heavily influenced by modern political events rather than strict grammatical-historical exegesis, leading to forced correlations. |
| Hermeneutic | ❌ FAIL | The hermeneutic fails to distinguish between the spiritual reality of the New Covenant church and the physical promises to national Israel, resulting in a literalism that contradicts New Testament typology. |
| Theology Proper | ✅ PASS | The doctrine of God is generally maintained, though the focus on physical Jerusalem distracts from the heavenly reality of God's throne. |
| Sacramentology | ✅ PASS | No specific sacramental errors were detected in the provided reports. |
| Confessional Depth | ❌ SHALLOW | The sermon relies on popular prophetic timelines and emotional appeals rather than deep, systematic theological reflection on the nature of the Kingdom. |
⚙️ The Core Gospel Framework
Why it matters for the final verdict: A complete Gospel framework protects a sermon from becoming man-centered. If a preacher gives commands for good behavior but leaves out the grace and atonement of the Gospel, it often results in a 🔴 Critical or 🟠 Major error for Moralism (teaching human self-improvement rather than reliance on Christ). However, if these Gospel elements are missing simply because the pastor is preaching a highly focused, practical message to mature believers (e.g., instructions on biblical marriage), our system applies a "Safe Harbor" pardon, graciously reducing the omission to a 🟡 Minor error.
❌ The Law And Wrath: Not observed in the sermon.
❌ Total Depravity And Inability: Not observed in the sermon.
❌ Active Obedience Of Christ: Not observed in the sermon.
✅ The Cross And Atonement:
"God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life." [00:20:46 ▶️ 📄]
⚠️ Theological Concerns
🟠 Major Premillennial Literalism
Root Cause: Dispensational Premillennialism
"he's coming to the city of David he's coming to Jerusalem he will rule and reign for a thousand years of absolute peace it's called the millennial reign" [00:11:32 ▶️ 📄]
The Belief/Behavior: The pastor teaches a literal, earthly millennial kingdom that contradicts the spiritual fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies in the New Testament church.
Why It's Dangerous: This literalism misleads the congregation into expecting a political earthly kingdom rather than understanding the spiritual reign of Christ in the hearts of believers and the heavenly Jerusalem.
Biblical Correction: But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels
🟠 Major Dispensational Geopolitical Fulfillment
Root Cause: Dispensationalism
"The fact is, the Gentile reign over Jerusalem stopped in 1967. That was a six-day war. It has been so for 58 years. look up look up the Bible says the king is coming Jerusalem is the city where the six day war on June the 7th 1967 at 9.50am saw Jerusalem brought under the control of the Jewish people for the first time in 2000 years God's top priority is now focused on Jerusalem and Israel The times of the Gentiles have been fulfilled." [00:10:16 ▶️ 📄]
The Belief/Behavior: The pastor asserts that modern geopolitical events directly fulfill biblical redemptive promises, dividing ethnic categories into separate salvific paths.
Why It's Dangerous: This reduces biblical prophecy to a political timetable, causing the congregation to focus on international relations rather than the spiritual gathering of all nations into the church.
Biblical Correction: And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
🟠 Major Ecclesiological Localization Error
Root Cause: Dispensational Ecclesiology
"Jerusalem is the city that will be forever the world headquarters for the church of Jesus Christ. Not Rome, not Rome, but Jerusalem." [00:08:25 ▶️ 📄]
The Belief/Behavior: The pastor incorrectly identifies the physical, geographical city of Jerusalem as the permanent headquarters of the Christian Church, contradicting the New Testament teaching that the Church is the spiritual temple.
Why It's Dangerous: This error confuses the physical with the spiritual, leading believers to seek the center of their faith in a location rather than in the body of Christ.
Biblical Correction: But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.
🟠 Major Homiletical Imbalance (Moralism)
Root Cause: Moralism
The Belief/Behavior: The pastor issues behavioral commands and relies on practical advice without explicitly anchoring the message or the congregation's response to the Holy Spirit or Gospel grace.
Why It's Dangerous: The congregation is left to rely on their own willpower to live out the message, leading to spiritual exhaustion and a lack of true transformation.
Biblical Correction: But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, Gentleness, self-control: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

[00:00:00] He's not coming to Washington. He's not coming to Rome. He's coming to the city of David He's coming to Jerusalem. He will rule and reign for a thousand years of absolute peace The fact of the Bible is that God chose Jerusalem as the place where his name would be there forever
[00:00:24] Say the word with me forever Jerusalem is the spiritual White House to the world. It sends the beacon of hope to the world Our world is staggering in despair. Wars are being talked about all over the
[00:00:44] earth to a world that has lost its moral compass. Jerusalem is that city that says by its very presence there is a God of mighty miracles and as the mountains are round about Jerusalem so is the Lord God Almighty around his people forever. Psalms
[00:01:04] 1, 32, 13, the Lord has chosen Zion, that's Jerusalem, and he hath desired it for his own habitation. That means God lives there. Jerusalem is God's house on earth. Jerusalem is God's address. If you ever go to Jerusalem and pray at the Western Wall, you will feel the presence
[00:01:28] of the Lord God, the defender of Israel. In 1978, I went to the wall for the first time to pray. I had a list that I wanted God to do, and as I started reading that list, I turned and
[00:01:44] looked over my shoulder at this elderly gentleman that you see in the picture. He's Jewish. He's walking back and forth kissing the Bible. His cheeks had tears. I stared at him for just a long
[00:02:00] minute. I looked back to the wall and this thought went through my mind. That man is your spiritual brother. All the things that are good spiritually came to us through the Jewish people. He's your
[00:02:14] spiritual brother and you don't know anything about him and he's terrified of you. I want you you do everything in your power to bring Christians and Jews together unusual thought I put my request list in the cracks and said you handle this I'm leaving and I went and found Diana who was praying
[00:02:41] with the ladies and I told her what I thought she said however are you going to do that Christians and Jews have been fighting each other for 2,000 years how do you think that can make you can make
[00:02:54] that happen? I said, I don't know, but I think I'm supposed to try. I bought about $500 worth of books about history, Middle East history, and so forth, because we skipped over all that in seminary.
[00:03:10] Two years passed. I'm trying to find a way to reach out to the Jewish people. And then in 1981, the opportunity came that I told our congregation we are going to have a night to honor Israel
[00:03:31] for the whole city of San Antonio we're going to go down to the Lila Cocker Lullatorium and we're going to have our choir sing Hebrew songs I'm sure we terrified the Israelis with our Hebrew
[00:03:48] but anyway we were trying and i said we are going to express our love and appreciation to them it wasn't an easy sale i had to go to the jewish federation and it took four trips before they were willing to do it but they
[00:04:07] packed the auditorium that night and that auditorium we had a bomb threat at the end And the Christians were gone.
[00:04:21] I mean, as fast as the rapture will take you out of here, they were gone.
[00:04:28] And the Jewish people looked at me and just flipped their hands.
[00:04:35] This is old stuff for them.
[00:04:38] I saw that and it just went in like a bullet.
[00:04:43] I said to Diana, I said, we are going to do this until these thugs get used to it.
[00:04:51] I made a video of it.
[00:05:00] I sent it to hundreds of churches across America.
[00:05:03] I got in my plane and flew from town to town to town.
[00:05:07] I no longer have a plane, but I did then.
[00:05:11] It caught on fire.
[00:05:14] Nights to honor Israel were happening all over America.
[00:05:17] And then in 2006, whenever Ahmadinejad was threatening to blow Israel up with a bomb, I said, Israel needs representation in Washington, D.C.
[00:05:30] We took another leap of faith and founded Christians United for Israel.
[00:05:36] We organized these nations by regions, by districts, by cities, and that every person in the United States who will support Israel has become a part of Christians Unite for Israel.
[00:05:49] Today, because of that prayer at the Western Wall, we have over 10 million people who stand with Israel.
[00:06:03] Psalms 48, David writes, Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised.
[00:06:08] In the city of our God, that would be Jerusalem, the joy of the whole earth is Mount Zion.
[00:06:14] The city of the great king, God will establish it forever.
[00:06:18] The point is, David declares Jerusalem is the place of joy.
[00:06:23] God has sworn it to be the eternal city to be established forever.
[00:06:28] Jerusalem has been conquered and reconquered 44 times in history.
[00:06:35] Yet it stands.
[00:06:36] Why?
[00:06:37] Because God has sworn to establish it forever.
[00:06:40] However, Jerusalem standing is a testimonial to the keeping power of God.
[00:06:47] Psalms 137.5, if I forget the old Jerusalem, this is David, let my right hand forget its cunning and let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth.
[00:06:59] If I do not prefer Jerusalem above my chief joy.
[00:07:06] He goes on to say, Jerusalem is the city of God.
[00:07:09] Jerusalem is the city of David.
[00:07:11] The only capital Israel has ever had or ever will have is Jerusalem.
[00:07:17] Jerusalem in prophecy is found in Luke 21, 24.
[00:07:21] I'll get there in just a minute.
[00:07:23] Jerusalem is the city mentioned in Scripture 811 times.
[00:07:28] It first appears in Genesis 14, 18, where the Bible records Melchizedek, the king of Salem.
[00:07:37] Salem was Jerusalem.
[00:07:39] Jerusalem Jerusalem Jerusalem equals the city of peace this is where Abraham paid his tithes to Melchizedek after the battle with five kings Abraham trained over 300 of his men who were trained in combat went into the battle of five kings defeated those kings he took all of their
[00:08:00] gold and their silver and all of their wealth and he brought it back to Jerusalem and he gave it to Melchizedek. Jerusalem is the city of God. Jerusalem is the city of David. It's the only
[00:08:12] capital Israel has ever had or ever will have. Jerusalem is the city where Solomon built the temple. The temple was then and is now known as one of the seven wonders of the world.
[00:08:25] Jerusalem is a city where Jeremiah and Isaiah penned the principles of righteousness that became the moral foundation for Western civilization. Jerusalem is the city that will be forever the world headquarters for the church of Jesus Christ. Not Rome, not Rome, but Jerusalem.
[00:08:44] Jerusalem is the city of God. First Peter chapter two, verse six says, behold, I lay in Zion.
[00:08:56] Zion is Jerusalem. Behold, I lay in Zion, a chief cornerstone, elect and precious. That means it's Jesus, and he that builds upon him shall not be confounded. Jesus Christ is the cornerstone.
[00:09:12] That's why we named this church Cornerstone. We will not be confounded. We will pursue the glory and the honor of Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. There is no other.
[00:09:34] Jerusalem in prophecy is found in Luke 21, 24.
[00:09:38] And Jerusalem will be trampled down by the Gentiles until, this is the word, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
[00:09:48] Underline that word, until.
[00:09:52] Then they shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with great power.
[00:09:58] This is the rapture.
[00:09:59] Now, when these things begin to happen, look up, because your redemption draweth nigh.
[00:10:07] It's a clear description of the rapture.
[00:10:11] Why?
[00:10:11] When Jerusalem is no longer controlled by the Gentiles.
[00:10:16] The fact is, the Gentile reign over Jerusalem stopped in 1967.
[00:10:23] That was a six-day war.
[00:10:25] It has been so for 58 years.
[00:10:28] look up look up the Bible says the king is coming Jerusalem is the city where the six day war on June the 7th 1967 at 9.50am saw Jerusalem brought under the control of the Jewish people

[00:13:08] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_00]
[00:13:08] david so dearly because he was a warrior with a spiritual insight like no other let me illustrate david versus goliath was a supernatural battle in the bible six is the number of sin the antichrist
[00:13:23] number is 666. He represents Satan, the Antichrist, and the false prophet. First Chronicles 26 and 8 states, Goliath had six fingers, six toes, and six cubits and a span high. Goliath was a demonized force. He was hell's champion come to destroy Israel. David's brothers and 40,000 Israeli
[00:13:49] soldiers were terrified of Goliath, but not David. He saw the battle for Jerusalem, Satan's attempt to stop the plan of God on earth. He picked up five stones. Why five?
[00:14:04] Because Goliath had four brothers. David wanted full, he wanted total victory. He got it.
[00:14:12] he in a war there is no substitute for total victory David fought Goliath and said if the rest of you want some of it keep coming we are going to be victorious here the supernatural
[00:14:34] battle for Jerusalem is not over the battle of Islam versus Judaism is a supernatural struggle The Antichrist wants to rule the world from Jerusalem.
[00:14:45] The Messiah, the son of David, his name is Jesus, has been promised the city of Jerusalem for himself.
[00:14:52] The battle for Jerusalem is far, far from over.
[00:14:56] It will be in our future.
[00:14:58] I repeat, Jerusalem is the centerpiece of Bible prophecy as we celebrate Jerusalem.
[00:15:04] Remember this, when the Pharisees came to Jesus saying, Herod is going to kill you.
[00:15:09] jesus said in luke 13 32 go tell that fox that was an ugly word then go tell that fox that i cast out demons and do cures today and tomorrow and on the third day i will be glorified lock in
[00:15:28] onto that the bible says behold second peter three and eight be not ignorant of this one thing that a day with the Lord is as a thousand years and a thousand years is as a day.
[00:15:41] Get that in your mind.
[00:15:43] In Bible prophecy concerning Jerusalem, 2,000 years have passed.
[00:15:50] 2,000 years are over.
[00:15:53] We are now celebrating the birth of the third day.
[00:15:58] 2,025 is 25 years into the third day.
[00:16:03] Jesus said on the third day I will be glorified Jesus is coming soon Jesus is coming soon Jesus is coming soon Jesus in Jerusalem in prophecy Jesus first recorded day in Jerusalem is his 13th birthday described in Luke the second chapter verse 41 every year his parents went to
[00:16:34] dressing for the feast of Passover. When he was fully 12 years old, he went up to the feast according to the custom. The Bible says fully 12. When you're fully 12, you're 13 years old.
[00:16:47] Some of you look at me, that's the way the Bible says it. The point is it was Jesus bar mitzvah where he received the prayer shawl as a man. He walked into the temple a boy. And when he
[00:17:09] received that prayer shawl he was a man it's scripturally proved by his jewish mother when he was lost and they were looking for him and couldn't find him when she found him she gave him a jewish
[00:17:22] dressing down and she he jesus looked at her and said don't you know that i must be about my father's business i mean he shut her down he answered her as an adult because he was now a man you can work
[00:17:40] that out at home, however it goes for you. But a passing in this, in the Bible, the age of accountability for your conduct doesn't start at 18, it starts at 13. I think God has a better idea
[00:17:57] than we do. The teaching of the prayer shawl, Brother Trail, if you'll bring that, please.
[00:18:09] Moses wore this to his funeral. Daniel wore this to the lion's den. Jesus was given this on his 13th birthday, and he wore it every day for the rest of his life. He will wear it again in the
[00:18:27] second coming. How do you know that? Numbers 15, 38. The Jewish people don't wear this because they think it's a religious thing to do. They do it because they are commanded of God to do it.
[00:18:41] In Numbers 15, 38, God says, speaking to the children of Israel, God is saying this to Moses, Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make fringes on the borders of their garments throughout all their generations, and that they put those on the fringe with a ribbon of blue.
[00:19:04] God said, I want every generation to wear this.
[00:19:08] And it shall be unto you for the fringes that you may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the Lord God.
[00:19:15] that means see all these little fringes here there are 622 things the Jewish people have to remember and we have only 10 wow what a break we get here God himself designed this prayer shawl
[00:19:36] he commanded the Jewish people to wear it the border is blue as a reminder that God is in heaven the first color in the tabernacle is blue The first line in the Lord's prayer is our father, which art in heaven, blue.
[00:19:53] The seed seed is the name of God.
[00:19:56] Here, these are coils that are twisted with specific numbers of turning and twisting.
[00:20:07] I could talk about this 30 minutes and you'd still be lost.
[00:20:11] Just take it from my knowledge that these represent the eight names of God.
[00:20:18] When you hold this, you're holding the names of God in your hand.
[00:20:23] Jehovah-Rophi, our God heals.
[00:20:26] Jehovah-Shalom, the Prince of Peace.
[00:20:29] He is Jehovah-Jireh, the God who supplies.
[00:20:32] He is Jehovah-Rohi, Psalms 23.
[00:20:35] The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.
[00:20:37] He is the God of joy in his presence.
[00:20:40] He's the fullness of joy.
[00:20:42] He's the God of peace.
[00:20:43] He is the prince of peace.
[00:20:45] He's the God of love.
[00:20:46] God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.
[00:20:55] If the God who controls your finances is the Lord that gives you the power to get wealth, Jehovah Sidgunu, he is the God of righteousness.
[00:21:03] Jehovah Makedesh, the Lord our holiness.
[00:21:06] For the Bible says, without holiness, no man shall see God.
[00:21:11] Jehovah, this is the Lord, our banner.
[00:21:13] That means a flag when you go to war.
[00:21:16] We used to sing this song, but it was dropped because it was too militarily.
[00:21:22] Onward, Christian soldiers marching as to war.
[00:21:25] With the cross of Jesus going on before.
[00:21:28] Christ, the royal master, leads against the foe.
[00:21:32] Onward into battle, see his banners go.
[00:21:35] We dropped singing that because it was too pugilistic.
[00:21:40] Paul said, fight the good fight.
[00:21:42] Fight for truth and righteousness.
[00:21:44] Fight to destroy the evil of anti-Semitism.
[00:21:48] Don't back away.
[00:21:49] Stand like a lion and let God arise and his enemies be scattered.
[00:22:01] This prayer shall is the flag of Israel with a star.
[00:22:06] Isaiah 11, 12, but he shall raise a banner.
[00:22:09] that's a flag, for the nations and gather the exiles of Israel. The flag of Israel is the prayer shawl with the star of David on it. God has gathered the Jewish people from their Gentile
[00:22:20] graves to this promised land under that flag, and he has designed it, and the Jewish people have worn it now for generations. The prayer shawl and the miracles of Jesus. Matthew 9 and 20, the woman with the issue of blood for 12 years, she came from behind him and touched the hem of
[00:22:38] his garment. How do you know it was the hem of his garment? The Greek word is kraspidon.
[00:22:44] Kraspidon means twisted coil. Jesus, the woman came, there was a crowd. She went behind him and touched the hem of his garment, this. And when she touched it, she was supernaturally healed.
[00:23:03] She reached for the name of God.
[00:23:07] The Bible says, whatever you ask in my name, I will do it.
[00:23:15] I will do it.
[00:23:18] One more thing and I'll close.
[00:23:24] The prayer shawl in the resurrection.
[00:23:26] On the resurrection day, they found the prayer shawl folded in the tomb of Jesus.
[00:24:00] The Bible translators called it a napkin.
[00:24:02] John 20, verse 6.
[00:24:05] King James translators didn't know what to call it.
[00:24:10] It was a folded prayer shawl.
[00:24:13] It was Jesus' prayer shawl because it was folded exactly right.
[00:24:17] This is not exactly right.
[00:24:21] Whoever folded it was alive.
[00:24:25] Whoever folded it was Jewish.
[00:24:28] The folded prayer shawl and the ultimate testimony of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
[00:24:33] His body was not stolen.
[00:24:35] he came alive and he said as I live so shall you live hallelujah to the lamb of God the last appearance of the prayer shawl in scripture this is in the future revelation 19 and he Jesus was
[00:24:55] clothed in the vesture dipped in blood and his name is called the word of God and he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written king of kings and lord of lords where did this blood
[00:25:08] come from. Jesus had just destroyed the armies that have gathered to destroy Jerusalem and Armageddon. The blood of Israel's enemies are on the skirts of this prayer shawl. In the final battle, the church of Jesus Christ is victorious. In the final battle, the enemies of Zion are
[00:25:28] destroyed. In the final battle, Satan is bound and cast into hell. The lion shall lay down with the Lamb. The first time in history there was perfect peace. For the first time in history there
[00:25:40] will be no more tears. There'll be no more suffering. There'll be no more separation.
[00:25:45] There'll be no more death. There'll be no more sickness. There'll be no more pain.
[00:25:49] There'll be no more crying. There'll be no more wars. There'll be no more cell phones. God in heaven. What God created in Genesis, the Garden of Eden, will be recreated for all of the earth.
[00:26:03] Everything will come full circle in eternity.
