The God Who Remembers: Grace, Legacy, and the Danger of Self-Reliance

While the sermon offers comforting imagery regarding God's remembrance and provides practical exhortations for family leadership, it is fundamentally compromised by a synergistic soteriology. The teaching that salvation is contingent upon human choice and obedience undermines the doctrine of Grace, shifting the burden of salvation from God's sovereign work to human decision.

❓ What do these grades mean?
🔍 Biblical Discernment: The 7 Church Parallels
The Faithful Parallels Smyrna • Philadelphia
Teaching that parallels the churches that endure suffering with true spiritual riches (Rev 2:9) and keep the Word of Christ without denial despite having "little strength" (Rev 3:8).
The Cold Orthodox Parallel Ephesus
Teaching that upholds doctrinal precision yet parallels the loss of the "first love"—the vital, motivating power of the Gospel (Rev 2:4).
The Compromised Parallel Pergamum
Teaching that parallels churches tolerating the "doctrine of Balaam" through cultural accommodation (Rev 2:14), characterized by weak boundaries, sloppy theology, and worldly compromise.
The Corrupted & Dead Parallels Thyatira • Sardis • Laodicea
Teaching that parallels churches with active heresy, synergism, therapeutic deism, or dead orthodoxy (Rev 2:20, Rev 3:1, Rev 3:17). These represent systemic, fundamental errors that corrupt the Gospel.
Why strictly "Mark & Avoid"?
We do not issue this rating to attack the speaker, but to protect the listener. This ministry's overall teaching trend consistently deviates from sound doctrine. As per Romans 16:17, we identify these patterns so believers can guard their hearts.

🧐 Overview

Theological Verdict & Summary

Sermon Summary: A message exploring God's faithfulness to remember His promises and our struggles, urging families to build a spiritual legacy through obedience.

Pastoral Analysis: While the sermon offers comforting imagery regarding God's remembrance and provides practical exhortations for family leadership, it is fundamentally compromised by a synergistic soteriology. The teaching that salvation is contingent upon human choice and obedience undermines the doctrine of Grace, shifting the burden of salvation from God's sovereign work to human decision.

Biblical Parallel (Archetype): Sardis — The sermon presents a 'name that it is alive, but is dead' orthodoxy. While it utilizes biblical language and imagery, the core soteriology is fundamentally compromised by Synergism, teaching that human choice and obedience are the decisive factors for salvation rather than God's sovereign grace. This represents a dead orthodoxy that relies on human effort for spiritual standing.

Big Idea: God is the God who remembers; He remembers His promises, our work done in love, our heartaches, and His Word, ensuring that those who feel forgotten are actually known, loved, and sustained by His perfect knowledge and care. [01:04:19 ▶️ 📄]

🧭 Biblical Alignment Dashboard

Overall Verdict: Fundamentally in Error

CategoryStatusReasoning
Gospel Presentation ❌ FAIL The Gospel Engine is broken. The sermon fails to anchor salvation in God's sovereign grace, instead presenting it as a conditional outcome of human choice and obedience.
Soteriology ❌ FAIL The sermon teaches Synergistic Soteriology, asserting that human free will and choice are the decisive factors in salvation, directly contradicting the doctrine of Grace.
Bibliology ✅ PASS The sermon references Scripture appropriately, though the interpretation of soteriological texts is flawed due to the overarching synergistic framework.
Hermeneutic ⚠️ WEAK The hermeneutic prioritizes moral application and human decision over the theological reality of divine sovereignty in salvation.
Theology Proper ✅ PASS The sermon affirms God's omniscience and faithfulness, though it fails to adequately articulate His sovereignty in salvation.
Sacramentology ✅ PASS No sacramental errors were detected in the provided reports.
Confessional Depth ❌ SHALLOW The sermon lacks depth in explaining the mechanics of salvation, reducing it to a binary choice rather than exploring the depth of Grace.

⚙️ The Core Gospel Framework

What is this? This section checks if the sermon contains the essential building blocks of the Gospel. We look for explicit, substantive mentions of God's holy standard, human inability, and Christ's finished work on the cross.

Why it matters for the final verdict: A complete Gospel framework protects a sermon from becoming man-centered. If a preacher gives commands for good behavior but leaves out the grace and atonement of the Gospel, it often results in a 🔴 Critical or 🟠 Major error for Moralism (teaching human self-improvement rather than reliance on Christ). However, if these Gospel elements are missing simply because the pastor is preaching a highly focused, practical message to mature believers (e.g., instructions on biblical marriage), our system applies a "Safe Harbor" pardon, graciously reducing the omission to a 🟡 Minor error.

The Law And Wrath:

"God made a way for Noah, a faithful father and his family to be sheltered from the wrath of the storm." [01:02:49 ▶️ 📄]

Total Depravity And Inability:

"We deserved the beatings and the blows that Christ took for the wages of our sins... You and I deserved the crown of thorns... We deserved the nails in our hands and the stripes on our back. We deserve to suffer the shame and the hopelessness of the grave." [01:06:21 ▶️ 📄]

Active Obedience Of Christ: Not observed in the sermon.

The Cross And Atonement:

"God made a way for you and I to escape the judgment of death, hell, and the grave when he took his son to an old rugged cross. We deserved the beatings and the blows that Christ took for the wages of our sins, but thank be to God for Christ took our place." [01:06:13 ▶️ 📄]

⚠️ Theological Concerns

🔴 Critical Synergistic Soteriology

Root Cause: Semi-Pelagianism

"We have a choice. We can choose to, by faith, obey the Lord and allow our families to be led to the rock and the refuge of salvation, the ark of our salvation, who is Jesus. Or we can choose to ignore the Lord and suffer the consequences." [01:04:59 ▶️ 📄]

The Belief/Behavior: He states, 'We have a choice. We can choose to, by faith, obey the Lord... Or we can choose to ignore the Lord and suffer the consequences.'

Why It's Dangerous: This teaching shifts the burden of salvation from God's sovereign grace to human free will, implying that God's saving action is contingent upon human decision. This is a fundamental error that undermines the Gospel.

Biblical Correction: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

✅ Commendations

Pastoral Care | Comfort for the Afflicted

The sermon effectively comforts those feeling forgotten by emphasizing God's omniscience and remembrance of their pain and faithfulness.

Family Ministry | Emphasis on Paternal Responsibility

The call for fathers to lead their families spiritually and model faith is a strong, biblically grounded application.

[00:03:36] to be recipients of that. Now we mentioned Father's Day and we mentioned the blessing that it is to be assigned as a father and so we're praying for our fathers. We are asking that the hand of the Lord
[00:03:50] be upon them to make them even better fathers even better husbands that God would make them the spiritual leader that he has called us to become and be and so this is a blessing that we
[00:04:05] are praying and believing God for now as we celebrate fathers we have some uh son father duel here with us this is going to be sharing with us how God has blessed them in this area
[00:04:18] of fatherhood gustavo god bless you thank you danny for being here we're talking about fathers we're talking about father's day obviously we have two generations here gustavo share with us a little bit about the impact that god through your father has made in shaping you to become
[00:04:38] the man that you are the future uh husband that you're about to be here shortly talk to us a

[00:04:45] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_14]
[00:04:45] little bit about that well first of all thank you for having us and my father has shown me so much mainly just how to be a godly man you know how to run to christ in every situation in every
[00:04:55] circumstance in every storm and i'm really grateful to have a man like that and a father like that in my life to go to in in times troubles and heartache and pain and that we could both go to christ
[00:05:07] together that he shows me whatever it is we can lay it at god's feet and that's something he's

[00:05:12] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_03]
[00:05:12] always done for me amen Danny hearing your son talk about the influence that you have made in his life and and you have other kids and so leading the entire family why is it important
[00:05:27] for you that they know that you follow and love the Lord amen well it's important to me because I

[00:05:34] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_13]
[00:05:34] I set the tone of the family right I am called to be the head of the family and my example will bleed into them, will minister to them, and they will know that no matter what life throws
[00:05:45] at them, that they can trust in God. They can go to Him for everything because He has a plan

[00:05:49] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_03]
[00:05:49] in the future for them. Amen. Amen. As your kids get older, your son's going to be married here soon. He's going to be a father one day. What is it that you would like your kids to receive from
[00:06:03] you as a legacy as they have their own families that are up and coming well that you're not

[00:06:11] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_13]
[00:06:11] perfect i'm not perfect uh every situation that comes up every trial that life has thrown our way i don't always do it perfectly but i always end up going to the lord so having that as our
[00:06:24] foundation having that as our guide will help in their lives and hopefully that's something that they will instill in their own lives and in their families in the future.
[00:06:34] Absolutely.
[00:06:35] Trust in God.

[00:06:36] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_03]
[00:06:36] Yes.
[00:06:37] Yes, having multiple generations here at church is not an accident.
[00:06:42] This is prayer.
[00:06:44] This is intentionality.
[00:06:46] This is, as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
[00:06:50] And so, Gustavo, last question that I have for you is, not yet, but one day you're going to be a father.
[00:06:55] Yes, sir.
[00:06:56] And you've received principles.
[00:06:58] principles you've received training from your father what is one thing you want to impart on your future children that you've received from your father i think for sure a lot of things from

[00:07:11] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_14]
[00:07:11] my father but one that i'll always take is he just talks to me and my siblings so lovingly and so caringly and knows and we know that we could go to him for anything and not that he will judge
[00:07:23] us not that he will be upset at us but that he will pray with us and i want to pray with my

[00:07:28] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_03]
[00:07:28] children and uh my children's children amen amen we are celebrating fathers and the message that we have is whether you have your father here on earth whether your father has been a good father maybe a distant father maybe a not the greatest example but we have a heavenly father and that
[00:07:50] heavenly father never fails us never leaves us he is the greatest example he's the great shepherd and so we declare blessings and favor over each and every one today knowing that we have a heavenly
[00:08:04] father that loves us and cares for us gentlemen god bless you thank you for joining us today god bless you guys give we are moments away from our service and again we are honoring fathers
[00:08:15] but we are also honoring the greatest father the father that gave his one and only son so that you and i could have eternal life happy father's day god bless you we are praying for the needs that
[00:08:30] are on our prayer wall so if you have a prayer request this is the time to be able to go and place that prayer request so that we can connect with you believing the lord for miracles our god
[00:08:44] is a miracle working god there's nothing impossible for him let us not grow weary and well doing for We're in due season.
[00:08:50] We shall reap if we faint not.
[00:08:52] Galatians 6, 9.
[00:08:53] And so you don't have permission.
[00:08:54] You don't have permission to give up.
[00:08:56] You don't have permission to be discouraged.
[00:08:58] You don't have permission to lose hope because the anchor of hope, Jesus Christ, is with you.
[00:09:04] And you're going to make it.
[00:09:05] You're not going to break down.
[00:09:06] You're going to break through in the mighty name of Jesus.
[00:09:09] Speaking of breakthroughs, we're excited because there is a series of breakthrough youth camps that are happening here up and coming.
[00:09:17] We want your kids to be a part of it. We have a special needs kids happening, a camp rather, happening June the 23rd through the 24th. It is a day camp. 7th graders to 9th grade, your camp is June 25th through the 28th. 4th through 6th grade, July 15th through 17th. Finally, 10th grade to 12th grade, your camp is July the 23rd through the 26th.
[00:09:43] These camps fill up quickly.
[00:09:45] It's an opportunity to be engaged with the presence of God, have memorable moments with friends.
[00:09:52] It's an opportunity to go to our campground in Tarpley and experience the powerful presence of God moving in the midst of our kids.
[00:10:03] We are anticipating a great move of the Lord.
[00:10:06] They're going to have a lot of fun.
[00:10:08] They're going to have an opportunity to grow with one another, learn teamwork, build great friendships that will encourage them in their up-and-coming school year to stay connected to the presence of the Lord and to ensure that they make wise choices as they go into the school
[00:10:27] year. Our first camp is our special needs camp. God bless you, Harry. It's so good to have you here with us. Good morning, Pastor. Good morning. Happy to be here. You serve in a number of areas
[00:10:41] in our ministry but one specifically that we've known you to serve faithfully is the special needs ministry we have our first camp July 23 through the 24th day camp you're a part of that you're going to be helping with that my question is why is it so important to you to be involved
[00:11:02] in not just ministry but the special needs ministry well the special needs ministry holds

[00:11:08] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_11]
[00:11:08] a special place in my heart because my brother was born with Down syndrome, scoliosis, and he had a hole in his heart. And I remember what United Cerebral Palsy did for our family by taking care of my brother. So I've always been part of the special needs community. So it's only

[00:11:29] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_03]
[00:11:29] natural for me to participate. What a blessing. Now, many people are not aware that we have a special needs ministry. And we want you to know that there is careful care, attention. There is focus placed upon our special needs children ministry. We want you to be a part of it.
[00:11:52] Share with us a little bit about what somebody might be able to expect when they come to either a day camp or even come Sunday morning to the special needs ministry area.

[00:12:03] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_11]
[00:12:03] Well, we understand that when you have a special needs child, Pastor, your focus is on that child 24-7.
[00:12:12] So if you have an opportunity to put that child in our care, knowing that we will love your child like you love your child, which will then give you an opportunity to get recharged and regenerated through the presence of God,
[00:12:29] I think that's a really good thing for the entire family, and that's what we try to do every Sunday and as well as on the day camps.

[00:12:39] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_03]
[00:12:39] So critical and important.
[00:12:40] Every generation, every ability matters.
[00:12:45] We're so thankful.
[00:12:46] Keep in prayer, again, our first camp, July 23 through 24th, Special Needs Camp.
[00:12:52] God bless you, my friend.
[00:12:53] Thank you.

[00:12:53] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_11]
[00:12:53] God bless.
[00:12:54] Happy Father's Day.

[00:12:55] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_03]
[00:12:55] Thank you.
[00:12:55] Likewise.
[00:12:56] God bless you.
[00:12:56] Thank you.
[00:12:57] We are excited.
[00:12:58] We are moments away from our service with our lead pastor, Matt Hagee.
[00:13:03] But we're going to stay on the theme with camps.
[00:13:07] And I'm going to invite Caitlin to come.
[00:13:09] Caitlin is someone that always volunteers with the ministry.
[00:13:14] God bless you, Caitlin.
[00:13:15] Thank you for being here.
[00:13:17] Caitlin, you're a part of the up-and-coming camps as well.
[00:13:20] You lead with worship.
[00:13:21] Why is it so important for you to be a part of camp and see kids engage in times of worship?

[00:13:28] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_01]
[00:13:28] It's very important because I just, it's really important to bring students to God and really show them what it's like to have people their age have such a strong faith and strong relationship with Christ.
[00:13:39] And once they see that, they like to copy what they see.
[00:13:42] So once they're surrounded with that community, surrounded with friends that also have that background, it's really easy for them to come to that as well.

[00:13:50] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_03]
[00:13:50] Absolutely.
[00:13:51] Now, you lead worship, but you also help lead a team.
[00:13:54] So you're kind of one of the team coaches, if you will, leading huddles.
[00:13:58] So tell us a little bit about how that's impacted students, how that's impacted you.

[00:14:03] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_01]
[00:14:03] It has impacted the students by allowing them to really connect with the leaders and allowing them to connect with the students inside their groups as well.
[00:14:10] I feel like it's more one-on-one as well because there's so many students that come to these things, but it's really hard to connect with each and every one of them.
[00:14:18] But when we break it off into groups, it's really easy for that to happen.
[00:14:22] And we have small group huddles where it's really easy for us to connect with them and pray for them on whatever needs they need.
[00:14:28] We always offer prayer to all of them, and it impacted me especially as a student back then.
[00:14:34] And it's just amazing to see that happening, God working in their lives.

[00:14:38] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_03]
[00:14:38] Speaking of God working in lives, we are praying that all the camps, that God would intervene in a special way.
[00:14:45] Kaitlyn, God bless you. Thank you for being here. Thank you for all your work and service.
[00:14:51] We are so thankful to be able to celebrate a number of camps that are up and coming.
[00:14:56] We want you to pray for each and every camp as we believe God has a special assignment over the camps and over our students. God has assignment over your life today. We're going to pray as we go
[00:15:08] into service that our hearts would be postured to receive all that God has in store for us here as we celebrate fathers and as we celebrate the fact that our God is alive. He is well. He has a word
[00:15:20] for you. You're going to be encouraged today. You're going to be strengthened today to know that you are not alone. Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, we pray blessings and favor over all that are watching. We ask that you would speak, move in the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen

[00:15:37] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_05]
[00:15:37] and amen. Good morning, church. Join with me as we worship the Lord in the house of God today.

[00:16:12] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_19]
[00:16:12] For those of you watching and joining us, we welcome you to Cornerstone. Blessed be the name of the Lord. Amen. Can we go to the Lord in prayer today? Our most gracious heavenly Father,

[00:19:02] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[00:19:02] with great joy have we come to the house of the Lord today. For in your presence is the fullness of joy. When Jesus is in the house, miracles happen. Burdens are lifted. Lives are changed.
[00:19:19] Marriages are healed. People rejoice with joy that's unspeakable and full of glory. Today, Today, we come to present the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ to the nations of the world.
[00:19:33] That he may be glorified in all that we say and do.
[00:19:37] And all of God's children said amen.
[00:19:40] Give the Lord praise in the house.
[00:19:48] We welcome our viewers who are watching across America and around the world.
[00:19:53] You're watching Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas.
[00:19:57] Today, Pastor Matt is preaching the final sermon in his series of sermons on Noah and the Ark.
[00:20:04] Today, it's faith in the Ark.
[00:20:07] The day is going to come when you will have an experience like Noah, when you really need the Lord to be your guide.
[00:20:19] Congregation, would you put your hands together and welcome our global audience as our singers come.

[00:25:22] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[00:25:22] and we call on his name faithful to respond and he does it every single time if you're grateful

[00:27:37] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_10]
[00:27:37] for that this morning can you give a shout and can you take a few seconds and can you just lift

[00:30:52] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[00:30:52] your hands in this sanctuary just tell him god i trust you man in your own words tell him god i trust you with my family i trust you with my home i trust you with my children i trust you with my
[00:31:10] life cornerstone every promise in him is yes and amen when we stand confident in the promise of his word you can trust in him that he's faithful so many of us in this room have
[00:31:28] testimonies that we've seen them do it again and again and again and tell me why i could not sing and say i trust you lord so tell him this morning tell him i trust you god we trust you jesus
[00:31:44] I trust you, Jesus.
[00:31:49] Sing this.
[00:33:53] Lord, you're God.
[00:33:55] Give a shout of victory in this house.
[00:34:07] Because you never change.
[00:34:11] Because you're constant.
[00:34:12] You're the same from age to age.
[00:34:14] You stand.
[00:34:16] And we can stand confident on that promise.
[00:34:19] That you are the same yesterday, today, and forever.
[00:34:23] so God we trust you with every area of our life to know that every hour every minute every second of our day you're in it and we can trust you completely we thank you for what you've done
[00:34:38] we thank you for what you continue to do and we give you all of the glory all of the power and all of the honor in Jesus name we pray and everyone says amen and amen hallelujah come on

[00:34:51] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_16]
[00:34:51] on the show. God bless you. You may be seated. Hey guys, today we are going to be talking about our dads and just the blessings they've been in our lives and the impact they've had. So what is

[00:35:06] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_12]
[00:35:06] something that you admire most about your dad? I admire his passion and his love, you know, for everything that he does. There can be so much going on, but you know, he'll come home and at the end
[00:35:17] of the day, he'll tell us that, you know, he's proud of us. He loves us. Even if all I did was

[00:35:22] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_00]
[00:35:22] lay on the couch all day I've always had such a deep connection with my dad because we both love the sport of soccer so we've always been training together playing together he's been coaching me since since I can remember he's always
[00:35:35] telling me I know you can play better I know you can do this he pushes me to be Who I am today it could be the worst joke in the world but his laugh after
[00:35:44] just makes everyone else laugh makes my whole family laugh yeah like my dad's my

[00:35:48] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_16]
[00:35:48] biggest cheerleader and everything I do he's always just constantly there showing up showing out and I don't have to doubt that he's gonna be there because he literally always comes with his truck and just drives up and I'm
[00:35:59] just like today he's here it's just a blessing so with that what is something that he does that just makes you proud he's raised us to be better than what

[00:36:09] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_12]
[00:36:09] he's true what he's done like we have our own family motto so it's like pay attention try hard and never give up even though we're Christians you know life comes at us hard too but he's taught me that being supportive of others is the greatest thing
[00:36:25] that you could ever be because you know if you're not going to be supportive then who is yeah my

[00:36:29] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_16]
[00:36:29] dad's selfless like he just represents christ so well i mean i have three other siblings too but he just always is there for all four of us which is such a blessing and it's just really cool to see
[00:36:39] and just witness like how he loves us so well and how he leads and loves like christ and so i think that's something that I'm just proud to be like, that's my dad. That's who he is. That's what he

[00:36:47] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_00]
[00:36:47] does. Yeah. One thing that he's taught me is to have common sense. It was, it was a big thing as a kid. Yeah. As a kid, he'd be like, if there's trash on the floor, like go and pick up that
[00:36:58] trash. Yeah. So he's, it's always been have that common sense and just have the love of the Lord, you know, like follow the fruits of the spirit. It's not just what you say, it's what you do.
[00:37:07] Thank you dad for making me into the man that I am today for always pushing me.

[00:37:12] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_16]
[00:37:12] Thank you, Dad. You are such a blessing to me. I am just proud to be your daughter, and I'm so thankful.

[00:37:17] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_12]
[00:37:17] Dad, you are probably the biggest blessing that I will get in my life.
[00:37:20] I thank God every day that He let me be your daughter.

[00:37:24] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_16]
[00:37:24] Thank you for just the blessing that you are to not only me, but to so many others around you.

[00:37:28] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_00]
[00:37:28] Yeah, continue the good work and keep making us laugh, Dad.

[00:37:38] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_04]
[00:37:38] Good morning. God bless you, and indeed, happy Father's Day to all the dads in the house.
[00:37:43] You are a wonderful gift from God in each and every family that you're blessed.
[00:37:48] And we're glad to celebrate each and every one of you today.
[00:37:53] This morning, joining us online are 78 nations in all 50 states.
[00:37:58] Congregation, would you make those who are joining us in our online congregation welcome here today?
[00:38:06] Happy Father's Day to you, sir.
[00:38:07] You are absolutely, by far, the most fantastic father on the face of the earth.
[00:38:15] Wow.
[00:38:21] Your five children are blessed to have you, and all those who get to call you Papa are fantastically blessed with you. I just want to make sure everybody knows how much I love my dad.
[00:38:37] Speaking of dads, in just a few moments, as you notice, our choir loft is empty today.
[00:38:42] And the reason for that is because we are going for superior numbers, not talent. What we're looking for is our men's volunteer choir. This is the day that you get to make your joyful noise
[00:38:56] unto the Lord. And so right now, those of you who are enthusiastically waiting for your moment, it's about to happen. And those of you who are reluctantly thinking that you're not going to get out of your chair, your family's going to force you up here. And during the offertory today,
[00:39:12] we're going to gather our volunteer choir, and then we're going to have the opportunity to do what the Bible says, and that is give the Lord a shout of praise. It's not much of a song,
[00:39:21] but it will be a shout, and you're going to get to enjoy it. So as you're thinking about that, men. We're going to do that in just a few moments. And I want to make you aware that on June the 28th,
[00:39:31] next Sunday is when we are going to have our 4th of July celebration. This is going to begin at 5.30 when the grounds open, 6.30 that evening. We've got all kinds of activities, food trucks,
[00:39:43] fun and free concert. Matthew West is going to be our guest. And I know that many of you have friends and family who are going to want to be here for that. So please mark down our 4th of
[00:39:53] July fireworks and concert with Matthew West beginning at 6 30 p.m. next Sunday night dad you and I were talking today about the number of people who are asking you based on the headlines of what's happening in the Middle East with Iran and Israel in the United States what is the Bible
[00:40:16] prophetic interpretation and meaning of this. And as a matter of fact, over a year ago, you wrote a book entitled God's Prophetic Clock. And there are two chapters that you wrote months ago about what's happening in the headlines as of today. What is it about those headlines that

[00:40:38] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[00:40:38] we need to know? Those two chapters are Israel's enemies are aligning and the crossroads of Prophecy for America. You would think that that was written late last night when you read this book. This is a prophetic book written about what Ezekiel said almost 3,000 years ago that's now
[00:41:03] like reading the front page of a newspaper. This is exactly where Ezekiel said we would be whenever Iran, Turkey, and Russia go together to form a massive army through which they intend to invade Israel. You say, well, Turkey is not in the mix yet. Turkey is on the border of these
[00:41:36] nations. Turkey's army has yet to be scratched, but I assure you they are talking to each other through Russia and so forth.
[00:41:47] Remember that trinity of evil right there.
[00:41:50] And this is going to happen because the God we serve knows the future.
[00:41:57] The God we serve controls the future.
[00:42:00] What we as Americans need to do is to pray and make sure that our nation is behaving itself because God Almighty stands with Israel.
[00:42:19] And Mr. President, I voted for you, but you don't have a right to tell Israel what they can and cannot do.
[00:42:25] They are a sovereign nation.
[00:42:32] If you'd like to read what Ezekiel had to say, it's in this book, God's prophetic clock.
[00:42:39] Give us a call and we'll send you the book.

[00:42:42] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_04]
[00:42:42] The way that we accomplish the mission of our ministry is by the receiving of tithes and offerings.
[00:42:47] And I'm gonna ask our ushers to take their positions as we worship the Lord with giving here today.
[00:42:51] Those of you who are watching, you too can participate.
[00:42:53] but men, when the offertory begins to be played, that is the calling of the Holy Spirit on your life to come and join this choir. So as pastor said, the first thing you do is you leave the
[00:43:06] offering in the pan and then come join the choir. Don't join the choir and forget the offering. But those of you who are watching, you can go to sacornerstone.org forward slash give or text the word GIVE, G-I-V-E, to 210-880-2300. Call us at 855-694-9653. Pastor, would you pray over

[00:43:28] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[00:43:28] today's offering? Come and lift our hands to the throne of grace. Our most loving and gracious heavenly Father, we come before your throne today because you are the God who has all power and all knowledge of all things in the universe.
[00:43:45] Today we come and we praise your glorious name for the privilege of preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ to the nations of the world.
[00:43:54] We thank you for our partners in America and in this church whose contributions make it possible for us to turn on the gospel light in a nation stumbling in darkness and has lost its moral compass.
[00:44:11] Therefore, today, let the righteousness of God be exalted in what we do to proclaim this glorious gospel.
[00:44:19] In Jesus' name, amen.

[00:44:32] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_03]
[00:44:32] Once again, happy Father's Day.
[00:44:34] We celebrate all the fathers, father figures, grandfathers that are out there believing that the hand of the Lord to be upon you as you guide and direct those under your care.
[00:44:45] We're praying and believing for miracles right now.
[00:44:47] Thank you for the prayer requests that have been placed on our J.H.M. prayer wall.
[00:44:51] Kaven, we are praying for the hand of the Lord to be upon you.
[00:44:55] We agree with you in Jesus' name that he would guide and direct your path.
[00:44:59] Ms. Bean, we're praying healing over your body in Jesus' name.
[00:45:04] Every form of sickness, disease, in Jesus' name, we declare it to be eradicated and that the hand of the Lord would bless you and keep you.
[00:45:12] Michael we're praying for your mother's healing that her body would come under the subjection and power of the Holy Ghost and that there would be a shift in her health in Jesus name we pray
[00:45:24] we thank you for your praying and your giving as you can see God is using it to impact the nations of the world as we go back to service let us be reminded to know that God's not done so you're
[00:45:37] not done. He is with you. He is for you. Keep moving with the strength of Jesus Christ. God

[00:45:43] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_04]
[00:45:43] bless you. I don't know if we have all the talent we need, but we've got all the men we need. Amen.

[00:50:21] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_06]
[00:50:21] Isn't this a good looking choir up here this morning? Come on. Y'all can clap for these guys better than that. I mean, these are the men who are paying your bills, providing your food, the

[00:50:35] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_04]
[00:50:35] roof over your head. This is the greatest choir you have ever seen. Now, men, I am your fearless and yet moderately concerned leader and what we're going to do is sing a song that repeats itself so
[00:50:52] that if you miss the words the first time you'll get several chances to make up for it and if you can't catch on by the end just smile real big and make everybody think you're having the time of
[00:51:01] your life all right this is one we all know it says lord you are good and your mercy endures

[00:51:08] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_06]
[00:51:08] forever count it off harold my first thing we do before hands together you are good louder boys

[00:51:31] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_09]
[00:51:31] towards the end of that and a few of you are still frightened we're gonna stay up here until

[00:54:55] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_04]
[00:54:55] you overcome your fears but uh everybody knows that you always warm up with a good song but you always have to finish with a great song how many of you think these guys deserve one more chance
[00:55:06] all right guys i want you to sing this one with everything you've got and if you don't have that much borrow some from the guy next to you okay if you've been walking the same old road for miles

[00:55:25] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_09]
[00:55:25] and miles if you've been hearing the same old voice tell the same old lie been trying to fill the same old hole inside tell them guys what if you got paid i'll search for the light up from
[00:56:23] the same we know you receive you can be give it up for dads one more time generation and the bible

[01:00:43] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_04]
[01:00:43] says that he was grieved that he had made mankind think god sees and feels when he looks at the world today he sees a generation that knows what the word of god says we just don't do what it
[01:00:56] tells us to do we live in a world that is so self-centered that we actually act like god is being blessed when we show up. But you need to understand something. God doesn't need you. God
[01:01:10] doesn't need me. God wants us and he has made a way for us to be in his presence through the access of Jesus Christ, his son. You should be doing certain things that tell the world I love him
[01:01:25] because of how good he's been to me. He set me free when I was bound. He made a way where there was no way he broke the chains and set me free and whom the sun sets free is free if you would
[01:01:44] please stand for the reading of god's word and if you brought your bibles turn them to genesis the eighth chapter and the first verse as this morning we conclude our sermon series faith in the flood
[01:01:55] looking at the biblical account of noah and what god did through noah with this message the god who remembers. When you look at Noah and the ark, as I mentioned, sometimes we want to reduce it to
[01:02:11] a Sunday school story because it's much too troublesome to think that God would wipe out every person on the face of the earth. But the Bible says that by faith, Noah feared the Lord and built an ark for the saving of his entire family. By faith, Noah made a decision and
[01:02:30] literally saved the entire world. Sometimes we make the statement, he saved the world, but in Noah's case, it's true because all those who were with him were all those who were left. The message that Noah gives to every father in this room and those of you who are watching is, dad, do not ever
[01:02:49] underestimate what living by faith can do for your family, for your children, and for your children's children. God made a way for Noah, a faithful father and his family to be sheltered from the wrath of the storm. And God has given each and every one of us the opportunity by faith to be
[01:03:09] sheltered from the storms of this life. But what happens when the storm goes longer than you think and you feel forgotten? Today, we look at the Bible and consider the words that we find in
[01:03:20] Genesis, the eighth chapter that remind us so clearly that God forgets no one. If you found Genesis chapter eight and verse one, say amen. Read it with me. Then God remembered Noah and every living thing and all the animals that were with him in the ark. And God made a wind to pass
[01:03:42] over the earth and the waters subsided. Heavenly Father, thank you for your word today. Thank you for your presence that is in this place. Help each and every one of us who are standing in this room
[01:03:54] and those who are listening across this nation and around the world. Hear the voice of your Holy Spirit. Tell us very clearly that you are the God who remembers every promise that you have ever
[01:04:06] made and you are faithful from generation to generation to perform it. In Jesus' name we ask and all of God's children said, praise the Lord. You may be seated. One of the reasons why it's
[01:04:19] important to consider Noah in the day that we live is because Jesus Christ himself said as it was in the days of Noah so shall it be in the days of the coming of the son of man there's a multitude of
[01:04:32] comparisons between the world that Noah lived in and the world that we live in but the greatest one that we want to take away is just as God gave grace and mercy to Noah in his faith God has made
[01:04:45] a way of escape for you and I in Jesus Christ. We have a choice. We can choose to, by faith, obey the Lord and allow our families to be led to the rock and the refuge of salvation,
[01:04:59] the ark of our salvation, who is Jesus. Or we can choose to ignore the Lord and suffer the consequences. I want to encourage you, like Noah did, have a holy fear of God and behave like you
[01:05:13] believe because in doing so, just like Noah, you will save the world. You'll save the world for your son and your daughter. You'll save the world for your grandchildren and great-grandchildren because I have never heard a righteous man in his legacy be cursed by his children for choosing to
[01:05:32] live for God. I've heard lots of people regret that dad was a rebel and dad was a rogue, but I've never heard anybody say, I wish my dad wasn't a righteous man.
[01:05:42] When you live for God, you establish a foundation of faith that provides your family the ability to receive the promises of God's word.
[01:05:54] Your children are only a portion of today's population, but they will be 100% of the future and they will be the legacy that you leave behind.
[01:06:02] So today, choose to live in faith and hide them in the shelter of God's wings.
[01:06:09] Noah, by faith, escaped what others drowned in because God made a way.
[01:06:13] God made a way for you and I to escape the judgment of death, hell, and the grave when he took his son to an old rugged cross.
[01:06:21] We deserved the beatings and the blows that Christ took for the wages of our sins, but thank be to God for Christ took our place.
[01:06:29] You and I deserved the crown of thorns, but thanks be to God, Christ wore that crown so that we could become royalty.
[01:06:37] We deserved the nails in our hands and the stripes on our back.
[01:06:41] But thanks be to God that Christ took those stripes and by those stripes we are healed.
[01:06:47] We deserve to suffer the shame and the hopelessness of the grave.
[01:06:51] But Christ laid there three days and then rose again, announcing that he had the keys to death, hell in the grave.
[01:06:59] In Noah's generation, God judged sin and gave Noah an ark.
[01:07:03] In our generation, he judged sin at Calvary when he sent his son to take my place and to take your place. And as Isaiah said, he was wounded for our transgressions. He was bruised for our iniquities.
[01:07:18] The chastisement of our peace was upon him and thanks be to God by his stripes, we are healed.
[01:07:26] Give the Lord a hand clap of praise. We should have died, but Jesus died for us and now we have everlasting life. We should bear the burden of guilt and the weight of our shame, but because
[01:07:44] of Jesus, old things are passed away and behold, all things have become new. We should have been cut off, but because of Jesus, we've been brought near and made heirs and joint heirs with Christ.
[01:07:59] Noah was a hero because he lived for God. Will you choose to do the same? Noah lived by faith and the world was saved but what happens when you live by faith and your expectations are not met
[01:08:16] consider all that noah's been through a hundred years ago god tells him build a boat that's a long project and then god just a few days ago tells noah get your family on the boat i'm going
[01:08:34] to shut the door and then i'm going to judge the world the bible says that when noah and his sons and the family got on the ark, God's hand shut the door so that no one could open it.
[01:08:46] And then the fountains of the deep opened up and the skies began to pour down rain and for 40 days and 40 nights, it rained.
[01:08:55] However, at the end of 40 days and 40 nights, the Bible says that Noah and his family stayed on the ark another 150 days.
[01:09:04] He's been on a five-month cruise.
[01:09:12] Think of all that he's endured.
[01:09:16] He started out listening to God and now heaven is silent.
[01:09:21] He started out telling his wife, we're gonna build this boat because this is what God wants us to do.
[01:09:26] And now he's listening to his wife saying, Noah, where are we going?
[01:09:31] He says, I don't know.
[01:09:32] We didn't put a wheel on this thing.
[01:09:33] There's no rudder.
[01:09:35] Read it in the Bible.
[01:09:36] There's no way to steer the ship.
[01:09:37] It's just God's hand.
[01:09:39] I mean, Noah is not even driving and his wife is still criticizing his driving.
[01:09:49] He's got all his kids and his in-laws with him.
[01:09:53] And what do you think kids ask when they're on long trips?
[01:09:56] oh you know we know that noah feels forgotten because genesis chapter 8 and verse 1 says god remembered god remembered i believe that there's a room full of people here and many who are watching that you need to hear that today that god remembers because there's people all
[01:10:24] over the world that at times will feel forgotten they'll start off in a journey of faith and they'll believe that God is going to move, and before they see the answer they want, they start
[01:10:36] to wonder, is God still there, and is he still listening? They made a decision to do what God asked, and they expected a breakthrough, but they got resistance. They thought the answer would arrive, and the mountain would move, and the promise would be performed, but then everything
[01:10:53] went dark. When heaven is silent in the midst of your storm, that fire of faith goes down to the flicker of a candle, and you're wondering, God, where are you? Noah feels forgotten because all
[01:11:07] he can hear is the sound of the water on the outside of the boat, and he no longer hears the voice of God like he once did. And sooner or later, you're going to feel the same way.
[01:11:18] What do you do when you feel forgotten, when you're carrying the weight and the burden of disappointment, when you're hopelessly searching for an answer and none is available?
[01:11:28] people all over the world feel forgotten the single person who thought they'd be married by now feels forgotten the young couple who thought they'd be parents by now they feel forgotten the single parent who never thought they'd have to do this alone and is having to face a father's day or
[01:11:47] a mother's day or a circumstance and situation without a partner feels forgotten everyone who knows loss and disappointment and failure in their own way, asks themselves, God, where are you when I need you? And why do I feel forgotten? What you discover when you read God's word is that our God,
[01:12:08] the creator of heaven and earth, he forgets no one. David said in Psalms 27, even when my father and my mother forsake me, the Lord will take care of me because God forgets no one. He told his
[01:12:23] children in the book of Jeremiah, I know the plans I have for you and their plans to prosper you and give you a future. God forgets no one. God knows right where you are. God knows exactly what you
[01:12:37] need. God knows how to take all things past, present, and future and use them together for good because he has called you and he loves you. God's word declares that he who began a good work in you
[01:12:51] is faithful to complete it even unto the day of Christ Jesus.
[01:12:55] Child of God, no matter where you are today, no matter the storm you're walking through, no matter the flood that you are facing, remember this, God forgets no one.
[01:13:06] He knows you, he loves you, he remembers you, and he's there for you.
[01:13:17] God remembers because God has perfect knowledge.
[01:13:22] Oftentimes, people forget things that they don't really care about or never understood the facts in the first place.
[01:13:30] But you will remember the things that you truly, deeply feel about.
[01:13:35] If you don't think so, put it to the test.
[01:13:37] Go home and tell one of your kids, at three o'clock, I want you to take out the trash.
[01:13:45] And because they don't care about that chore, what are the chances that at three o'clock, you find them doing anything but what you asked them to do?
[01:13:55] And what are they gonna say?
[01:13:57] I forgot.
[01:13:59] And the reason they forgot is because they didn't care to do it when you asked.
[01:14:04] So don't put a time on it.
[01:14:05] Tell them to do it now.
[01:14:09] However, if right now you told that same child at three o'clock, we're going for soft serve ice cream at Dairy Queen, they'd be sitting in the car at 2.30.
[01:14:29] Why?
[01:14:29] Because they care about Dairy Queen.
[01:14:34] And you and I are no different.
[01:14:36] The things that we don't care about, we don't remember.
[01:14:38] But the things we do care about, we have great memory of.
[01:14:42] Consider the word of God.
[01:14:43] how easy is it to remember the promises we like? Oh, the Bible says, houses I didn't build, wells I didn't dig, and vineyards I didn't plant. It also says, do everything without complaining.
[01:14:55] It says, bring all your tithes into the storehouse. It says, let your words be few that sin would not abound. But we seem to forget the things that we don't much care about. The point is, is that God
[01:15:09] remembers you because God cares about you. God remembers you because he has perfect knowledge of you. When you read his word, you find that he remembered Abraham and the covenant. He remembered Noah and his promise. He remembered Rachel and Hannah in their barrenness. He remembered his
[01:15:26] children when they were in Babylon. He remembered his promises and his covenant.
[01:15:34] Why does God remember? God remembers because God cares. And because he cares, he cannot forget you.
[01:15:42] Psalms 103 says he knows our frame and he remembers.
[01:15:46] He knows you better than anyone else.
[01:15:48] He knows your thoughts before they become words.
[01:15:51] He knows the numbers of the hair on your head.
[01:15:54] He knows the steps that you take.
[01:15:56] Whenever you feel forgotten, you need to realize it is a lie from the enemy trying to cause you to doubt God's purpose and presence in your life.
[01:16:05] But God knew you before he formed you in the womb.
[01:16:08] He knew you, and he called you, and he ordained you.
[01:16:11] He will not ever forget you.
[01:16:15] David said in Psalms 139, you have searched me, and you know me.
[01:16:20] He said, when I get up, you're there, and when I lie down, you're there.
[01:16:23] You are acquainted with all of my ways.
[01:16:25] You know what I'm going to do before I even do it.
[01:16:29] And when David considers how much God knows about him, and how much God cares about him, and how much God truly loves him.
[01:16:37] David says, I will praise you with my whole heart because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
[01:16:44] Do you know how to cancel out the lie that the enemy is telling you that God has forgotten you?
[01:16:49] You praise the Lord with your whole heart.
[01:16:54] When you feel forgotten, remember this, the same God that remembered Noah and the same God that remembered Abraham and the same God who remembers his promises, he is the same God who remembers you. He knows all about you. He wants to hear your voice calling
[01:17:10] out to him in praise. Praise the Lord because he can see what you do not see. Praise the Lord because he can do what you do not do. Praise the Lord because he keeps his promises to a thousand
[01:17:23] generations. He said a mustard seed of faith will move a mountain if you put your faith in him.
[01:17:30] righteous have never been forsaken nor has their seed been begging bread therefore praise the Lord in and out of season knowing that God's promises will arrive right on time God remembers you because he cares about you not only does he care about you but God remembers the work that you do
[01:17:58] in his name the work that you do in his name consider Acts the 10th chapter an angel of the Lord comes from heaven to Cornelius' house. Now who is Cornelius? Cornelius is a Roman soldier
[01:18:18] and a commander in the Roman army underneath Caesar. And Caesar sends him to Israel to enforce Roman law over Judea. He is an occupier. And yet when he comes from Rome to Israel, he begins to connect with the Jewish people and he starts to give offerings to the Jewish
[01:18:43] community so that they could build a synagogue in Caesarea and an angel from heaven is sent to his house and this is what the angel says in Acts 10 and 31 the angel of the Lord says your
[01:18:58] alms are remembered in the sight of God God sent a direct message to this man who was raised in a pagan culture who worshiped false gods that what he was doing in being gracious to the people of
[01:19:13] Israel was being seen by God and God remembered it. The point is this, God's promises are kept from generation to generation. What did God tell Abraham in Genesis 12 and verse 3?
[01:19:32] I will bless those who bless you. Cornelius is a Roman who is blessing Israel in the book of Acts and God says, I see what you're doing and I'm going to send a blessing to
[01:19:45] you. What was the blessing that God sent to Cornelius? He sent Peter with the gospel. And when the gospel was preached in Cornelius's house, the Holy Spirit filled every person in Cornelius's family. And they were the first Gentiles to receive the message of Jesus Christ and the
[01:20:01] gospel of his kingdom. God's word is true because of what Cornelius was doing in the name of the Lord, God remembered and God blessed him. The message is very clear. God keeps that promise.
[01:20:16] If you bless his children, he will bless you. I know that there's a lot of hot air podcasters who are running around trying to make sure that that promise gets forgotten, but that promise was put out by the podcaster, God on high, and he keeps his word from a thousand
[01:20:35] generations. God's blessings are on the work that you do in his name. Jesus confirmed it in Matthew chapter 10. He said, whomever gives one of these a cup of water in my name, he shall by no mean
[01:20:53] lose his reward. Paul talking to the church in the book of Hebrews says, for God is not unjust to forget your work and your labor of love. When you look at that verse, it says a labor of love,
[01:21:07] which is shown towards his name in that you have ministered to the saints and do minister.
[01:21:16] Now there's some very qualifying things that you need to know about the work that you do for the Lord.
[01:21:21] First and foremost, it has to be done in love.
[01:21:25] If it is not done in love, it is rejected.
[01:21:31] And the Bible proves that.
[01:21:34] You're saying, Pastor, when I serve, I have to serve with the right attitude?
[01:21:39] Absolutely.
[01:21:41] Because if you serve with a bad attitude, not only do you have to do the work, but you don't get credit for it.
[01:21:49] And when it comes to the work that you do for the Lord, you have to do it in love or heaven doesn't accept it.
[01:21:57] And here's where you look in the Bible to prove it.
[01:21:59] First Corinthians chapter 13 in verse three, Paul's speaking about love.
[01:22:04] And he says, if I give all of my goods to feed the poor, how many of you would think that that is charitable?
[01:22:11] And then he says, and even if I give my body to be burned, How many of you would think that that's extreme?
[01:22:18] He says, but if I give all that I have and I give my life as a sacrifice, if I don't do it with love, it profits me nothing.
[01:22:28] If you don't do what you do for the Lord in love, even to the point of giving your body to be burned, God would reject the ashes.
[01:22:38] That's how serious he is about doing it with love.
[01:22:43] Second Corinthians says, give as you propose, not grudgingly, why?
[01:22:47] Because God loves a cheerful giver.
[01:22:51] So when you work for the Lord, you better labor in love.
[01:22:55] A labor of love is done with excellence, not half-heartedly, but with everything you've got.
[01:23:01] A labor of love is done consistently, even when no one is watching.
[01:23:07] A labor of love is done in his name, which means what?
[01:23:13] When you do something as a labor of love in the name of the Lord, it means that God gets the glory and no one else.
[01:23:26] And that's important to remember because in the Bible, God will share with you all kinds of things. He'll share with you his peace. He'll share with you his joy. He'll share with you his power.
[01:23:36] He'll share with you his provision. He'll share with you his protection. He'll share with you his angels. He'll share all kinds of things. But God himself said, my glory, I will share with no one. So when you do something for the Lord, make sure you remember who gets the glory. If credit
[01:23:56] and recognition for self is required before service is done it's not for his glory it's for yours a labor of love is done consistently and faithfully because hebrews 6 and 16 tells us that you have ministered and do minister that you continue to minister that doesn't mean that when
[01:24:19] you start something you can't ever stop it but that means that you live a lifestyle of continual service. I'm thankful to God that when I started working in ministry, I was working in the nursery.
[01:24:31] I'm thankful that that season is over. However, I'm still serving. As you go through your life of faith, you will have different seasons of service, but always be serving. Jesus Christ told John the Revelator in Revelation chapter 2 that he needed to remind the church of Ephesus
[01:24:53] that they had left their first love.
[01:24:56] And he told that church, you stopped doing what you were told to do in the beginning.
[01:25:02] You stopped serving.
[01:25:05] Repent and do the first works.
[01:25:09] Not everything that is done in God's name is God's work.
[01:25:13] Sometimes people do the work of man in the name of the Lord, but when you do it as a labor of love, it is done for him.
[01:25:19] It is done so that he gets the glory and it is done with excellence.
[01:25:23] God not only remembers your work God remembers your heartaches Psalms 55 Psalms 56 and verse 8 there we read you have put my tears in a bottle are they not in your book that phrase in your book
[01:25:51] is an accounting term meaning that every one of the tears that you have cried God has it written down why because there's another promise in the book of Revelation chapter 21 verse 4 and it says, and he, God, God himself,
[01:26:09] is going to wipe away every tear from their eyes.
[01:26:13] How is it possible for God to wipe away every tear unless he has an accounting of those tears?
[01:26:20] He remembers every time that you weep in prayer over unsaved loved ones.
[01:26:25] He remembers every time that you cry out for healing from sickness and illness.
[01:26:30] He remembers whenever you're overwhelmed with the burdens of this life that you think are too hard to carry.
[01:26:35] no matter the cause of your sorrow you need to know that God counts your tears and he has a promise that when he sees you face to face he's going to wipe away every tear from your eye
[01:26:47] as you see that every battle that you have fought has been rewarded with triumph in glory every sickness that you endured is rewarded because the former things have passed away and in heaven's tomorrow there is no more sickness
[01:26:59] there is no more pain there is no more suffering there is no more death Every sorrow will be turned into a shout of praise.
[01:27:07] Every day that you have walked around heavy burden, you're going to walk around free for whom the sun sets free is free indeed.
[01:27:15] When you see him face to face and you're looking into the eyes of the risen savior, you're going to shout for joy and victory and triumph and you'll know that it was worth it all
[01:27:26] because the former things have passed away.
[01:27:29] Every struggle, every trouble and every trial is gone because we have victory in Christ the Lord.
[01:27:36] God not only remembers your struggle and your sorrow, but God remembers his word.
[01:27:52] Isaiah chapter 55, it says, my word that comes out of my mouth shall not return to me void.
[01:28:03] There's nothing that can cancel it out, but it shall accomplish what I please.
[01:28:11] When God says it, he'll do it.
[01:28:13] In Hebrews chapter 6, it says that by two immutable things, God cannot lie.
[01:28:24] Immutable things are immovable things.
[01:28:28] And the first thing that God says that proves he cannot lie is his name.
[01:28:34] His name is unchanging.
[01:28:37] And the second thing that proves God cannot lie is his word.
[01:28:42] His word is unchanging.
[01:28:44] God remembers what he promises you.
[01:28:47] when he says it he'll do it whenever you're discouraged and you feel forgotten don't hang your head in doubt look into his word and remember what he has said to you remember how he has
[01:29:01] promised that he would make you the head and not the tail that he would bless you when you're going out and you're coming in that he is for you and not against you that as long as God is on your
[01:29:12] side a thousand may fall at your right hand and ten thousand at your left but it shall not come near you because you are his child and he is your God and you have victory and triumph in his name.
[01:29:31] Noah felt forgotten, but God told Noah in Genesis chapter six, long before the rain ever started, he said, Noah, I'm bringing a flood on the earth, but I will establish my covenant with you, with your sons, your wives, and your wives' sons with you. Before he ever began building the boat,
[01:29:53] God told Noah, you're going to get through this. Before he ever got on board and the rain ever started, before the storm ever came, God had let Noah know that he was going to be all right.
[01:30:06] When you're looking for assurance and wondering if God is going to keep his promise, have confidence in this. His word is pure and his promises are precious. He said every one of them is yes and amen in Christ Jesus.
[01:30:20] There is no expiration date.
[01:30:22] They're good for a thousand generations and they will not fail.
[01:30:26] The Bible says the grass may wither and the flower may fade, but child of God, his word, it endures forever.
[01:30:35] He has promised to provide.
[01:30:36] He has promised to comfort.
[01:30:38] He has promised to protect.
[01:30:40] He has promised to lead and to guide.
[01:30:42] He has promised to deliver.
[01:30:44] Over 3,000 promises in his word are all yours. They are all good because they are all God. Give the Lord a hand clap of praise.
[01:31:01] I say this in closing, God remembers. I know a lot of people who feel forgotten, but God remembers. You've been abandoned, but God has never abandoned you. People have broken their word, but he has never broken his. Your weeping may endure for the night, but he promised
[01:31:31] your joy is coming in the morning because God remembers. He sent me here today to tell you he knows where you are. He knows what you need. He knows exactly when that breakthrough is coming.
[01:31:47] So put your faith in his word and in his promises because he forgets no one. Give the Lord a hand clap of praise. Would you stand to your feet? Father, your word is alive and it is powerful
[01:32:07] and it is sharper than any two-edged sword so today as we stand upon your promises and we hear the voice of your holy spirit let it remind us of the promises that you have given in
[01:32:22] our lives and build our faith and assurance that every word that you have ever said will come to pass every promise that you have ever made you will keep every battle that we have ever fought
[01:32:34] in your name, you will give us the victory because you are the God who remembers your promises to a thousand generations. We give you thanks and praise for this. All of God's children

[01:32:46] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[01:32:46] said, praise the Lord. Lift your hand for the blessing. And now may the Lord bless you and may the Lord keep you. And may the Lord make his face to shine upon you. And may the Lord be gracious
[01:33:07] unto you and give you his peace. May you learn to live by the precepts of the word of God and so shall your life be filled with abundance and blessing and joy and peace and prosperity for
[01:33:29] God is your father and he gives to those those things to the righteous. Rejoice in who you are as you walk hand in hand with God your father in the journey of life. Receive this blessing
[01:33:50] in the authority of Jesus name. Amen. God bless you with his face.

[01:35:19] You're watching Hagee Ministries.
[01:35:22] Don't go away.
[01:35:23] Here's more teaching from the Word of God.

[01:35:28] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_04]
[01:35:28] Hello and welcome to this conversation.
[01:35:30] I'm not only excited to share with you a very special Father's Day message, but for the next few weeks, discuss the biblical principle of God's expectations of the role of a father in every home, in every church, and in every nation.
[01:35:48] You know, right now, the United States is desperately in need of leadership.
[01:35:52] Well, where does it come from?
[01:35:54] Where should it come from?
[01:35:56] and how does God help us understand the things that will bring blessings to our children and to our children's children.
[01:36:05] Whenever this Sunday conversation and series of lessons is over, I'm going to begin teaching Bible positions on political issues.
[01:36:14] I want you to write that topic down because between now and November, it's going to be an important conversation that you have with your friends, with your family and your circle of influence. Oftentimes, people wonder what they can do to
[01:36:29] impact and create change. I assure you, it's more than you know when you begin to understand your voice of influence whenever it's built and based upon the truth of God's Word.
[01:36:42] But let's begin by looking at Ephesians chapter 6 and verse 4. This is the topic on this very special Father's Day lesson, but it begins with saying, and you fathers, without question, we understand exactly who this statement is directed to.
[01:37:01] It doesn't say, and you parents.
[01:37:03] It doesn't say, you single mothers.
[01:37:05] It doesn't say, you grandparents.
[01:37:07] It is speaking directly to the paternal man in the household.
[01:37:13] and you fathers do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and the admonition of the Lord.
[01:37:25] It's a simple verse, but it is packed with principled truth.
[01:37:30] What do I mean by principled truth?
[01:37:32] There's places in the Bible that you can read the teachings, for example, from the letters of Paul.
[01:37:39] In some of the New Testament churches, he wrote to them about specific situations that those individual churches were going through at a specific time consider for example just a few pages over from Ephesians 1 Corinthians chapter
[01:37:57] 4 verses 14 through 21 he's writing to the church in Corinth and he's talking to them about issues that they are facing and he even tells them I do not write these things to you to shame you
[01:38:11] but as my beloved children I warn you and then he tells them in verse 16 I urge you imitate me if you don't know how to behave just do what I do and you'll do the right thing and then he says in
[01:38:27] verse 17 for this reason I send Timothy to you that he will remind you of my ways in Christ As a matter of fact, in verse 17, he calls Timothy his son in the Lord.
[01:38:42] And what he's saying is, I gave Timothy the model to follow.
[01:38:47] Timothy acts like me.
[01:38:49] Timothy thinks like me.
[01:38:51] Timothy talks like me.
[01:38:52] He's my son in the Lord.
[01:38:54] If you don't know what I would do, then do what Timothy does because he is emulating me.
[01:39:02] And then in verse 21, he says, what do you want?
[01:39:05] he's already told him he loves them.
[01:39:08] He's already told him that he hopes the best for them.
[01:39:10] And he says, shall I come to you with a rod or in love and a spirit of gentleness?
[01:39:16] That one verse right there specifically tells us that you can receive correction from two tones of voice.
[01:39:24] One is forceful and one is gentle.
[01:39:27] However, the outcome is the same.
[01:39:30] You're going to hear the truth and the truth is what you need to implement in your life create the change. What was Paul specifically speaking about to the church in Corinth? From the beginning of that letter all the way through the end of the first letter to the church in
[01:39:47] 1 Corinthians, he's talking to them about divisions and factions in the church. The biblical term is secretarianism. And what he's saying is, some of you are dividing the house of God, because you say you follow this teacher and others say they follow that teacher. And then
[01:40:10] some say they follow Paul. And what he's telling them in this letter is we don't follow teachers.
[01:40:18] We follow Christ. Now that's a specific letter to a specific church for a specific reason.
[01:40:26] And without question, all of the truth that you read in the Bible, it's profitable and it's something you can apply in your life. That's what 2 Timothy 3.16 reminds us of. All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, correction,
[01:40:47] instruction in righteousness. But there are things that when you find a principled truth in the word of God, it's something that is being taught, not just in the moment, but it is a certain biblical theme
[01:41:03] that scripture carries all the way from cover to cover.
[01:41:07] These are what I call foundational principles.
[01:41:12] And when you see them, make sure that you do not forget them.
[01:41:18] Don't ignore them, apply them because ignoring foundational truth and rejecting it is how you bring tremendous consequences, not only in your life, but because you are an example in the lives of your family, of your
[01:41:36] church, and your nation. So that's why today on Father's Day, I choose this foundational truth that comes from God's Word. And when we consider what Ephesians 6 and 4 says, I want you to ask
[01:41:50] yourself, how are we doing as a nation in training our children? How are we doing in the church?
[01:41:59] how am I doing in my home this is where Ephesians 6 4 focuses the responsibility in this verse Paul says not just to that New Testament church but to all believers everywhere you fathers train up your children and this is a theme that goes all the way back to Genesis
[01:42:26] and has been established since the beginning of time.
[01:42:30] That theme is this.
[01:42:33] It is the father's responsibility to train their children.
[01:42:39] By training your children, you train your grandchildren.
[01:42:43] By training those children, you begin to instill a pattern of behavior that gives your genealogy, your descendants, the opportunity to follow God and to obey his word.
[01:42:56] In Ephesians 6, Paul's not just telling those listeners.
[01:43:00] He's telling us here today a truth that echoes throughout all of God's word, even going back to the law of Moses that's written down in the Torah.
[01:43:12] Consider this verse from Deuteronomy chapter 6 and verse 7.
[01:43:17] Deuteronomy 6 and 7, it says, You shall teach them diligently to your children.
[01:43:27] You shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you are down and when you rise up.
[01:43:36] There, God was telling Moses to instruct the fathers of Israel to consistently and intentionally and courageously teach their children.
[01:43:48] Whenever you sit down to dinner, talk to them about the principles of God's word.
[01:43:53] What principles can be shared at the dinner table?
[01:43:55] Well, where did the food come from?
[01:43:58] It's God who created the heaven and the earth.
[01:44:00] We should thank God for his provision.
[01:44:02] Whenever you rise up, why is the sun rising in the east?
[01:44:07] Because God is the one who ordained it so.
[01:44:09] And we remember with every sunrise that his mercies are renewed like the morning.
[01:44:14] When you sit down, when you are walking by the way, what Moses was telling the fathers in Israel to do is to consistently and courageously remind their children that it is God who has given us all of these things.
[01:44:29] Why?
[01:44:31] Because if they failed to do so, then their children would suffer the consequences.
[01:44:38] They would forget where their blessings came from and they would turn away from God.
[01:44:43] And in turning away from God, they would lose the opportunity to access those blessings.
[01:44:50] This is why Paul says in Ephesians 6 and 4, you fathers do not provoke your children to wrath.
[01:44:56] Now, some people want to take that particular portion of the text and say, well, it's a father who is antagonizing his son. No, the way that you provoke your child to wrath, the way that you bring
[01:45:10] anger out of them is you neglect to train them. Think about this. How many angry young people do you see in the world around you? We have an entire generation of young people in this nation
[01:45:26] that are provoked. They're angry, not just here in the streets of America, but literally all over the world. What are they angry about? Many of them couldn't tell you. They just know that they don't feel like they're being cared for. And one of the reasons that they're angry is they have
[01:45:47] not been taught. They have not been trained. They haven't been given godly examples of how to behave. That's why Paul said to the church in Ephesians 6 and 4 again, you bring them up in
[01:46:03] training. Now listen to those words. You, fathers, bring them up in training. That means that this is a process. It's not going to happen overnight. It means that you need to progressively teach.
[01:46:20] I have four children. Now my oldest is 19 and my youngest is 11. Thank God they weren't born at 19 and 11. However, throughout their lives, we have brought them up. We have increased our
[01:46:36] expectations of their responsibilities. We have continued to require of them more at their current age than we did at a younger age. Why? Because they have to be trained how to be responsible.
[01:46:51] No one is born with responsibility.
[01:46:54] They're taught responsibility.
[01:46:56] We need to bring up a next generation that has been taught a work ethic.
[01:47:02] Why?
[01:47:03] Because work is a blessing.
[01:47:07] Adam had a job before he had a wife.
[01:47:10] People always want to say that work was part of the curse and the fall of man.
[01:47:14] That's not true.
[01:47:16] Work was God's idea.
[01:47:19] The Bible actually says in Genesis that God did not cause it to rain because he had no man to keep the ground.
[01:47:26] But the second that Adam was created, he told Adam, this is the garden, tend it and keep it.
[01:47:33] That was in a perfect world where there was no sin.
[01:47:36] Adam was completely innocent and had not yet defied God's law and yet God put him to work.
[01:47:43] Work is a blessing.
[01:47:44] God, our Father, is an example that he worked six days and then he rested from his work.
[01:47:51] Why do you think socialism is such an appealing idea in the world today?
[01:47:57] Socialism says that everyone is going to share equally and no one is going to have to work more than another and everyone is going to have all of their needs met.
[01:48:05] It's an absolute deception.
[01:48:07] but the reason that it is falling on ears and being received with joy is because we have failed to teach our children a work ethic. They live 18 years in a home where almost every possible want
[01:48:26] and need is met. As a matter of fact, they measure how much they're loved based on how much they possess. If you loved me, you'd give me. And so they've received that affirmation.
[01:48:43] And then when they turn 18, we tell them go to school. And when they graduate from college with $100,000 education, we give them a four letter word that they don't want to hear. It's time to
[01:48:56] go to work. The reason it doesn't have any impact is because we haven't trained them. We haven't built them up. We haven't taught them from a young age that this is what the rhythm of life is.
[01:49:10] And therefore, they don't enjoy the idea that they're going to have to earn for the rest of their life. They want someone to take care of them. One of the reasons why we have the chaos
[01:49:21] and disorder that's running in our streets, we haven't trained our children to respect authority.
[01:49:28] We haven't taught them to say, yes, sir, and yes, ma'am, to anyone who's taller than them, hold the door open for a lady and how to be polite in public. These little lessons at early ages
[01:49:44] have a tremendous impact in keeping chaos and disorder out of our streets. How come we have a divorce rate in this nation that's now running towards 65%? Because we haven't taught our children how to be a husband, how to be a godly wife, how to serve one another as the Bible
[01:50:07] teaches. So what's the consequences of this lack of training and what has it created? The answer, a frustrated and angry generation. The reason young people are mad is because the quality of life they thought they would have, they don't. The reason they're angry, they don't know who to trust.
[01:50:30] They don't know who to follow.
[01:50:32] They don't know what to do.
[01:50:34] And according to the scriptures, that responsibility falls squarely on the shoulders of dad.
[01:50:43] This is Father's Day.
[01:50:45] And I want everyone who's watching to know how much I thank God for my godly father.
[01:50:54] I was blessed to live my life in a home with a man who prioritized his faith in Christ.
[01:51:03] It was a tremendous example to me and has been the foundation of how I parent my children.
[01:51:12] And I know that there are so many people who are watching that they can't say that they had that same relationship or that they had that example.
[01:51:19] But that doesn't mean that God didn't give you an example.
[01:51:23] The example that he gave you was himself.
[01:51:29] A God who cares about you, knows you, and will do anything to take care of you.
[01:51:38] To every dad who's watching today, I want you to know God is on your side.
[01:51:44] He loves you and he'll give you the strength that you need to be the godly parent that he called and created you to be.
[01:51:51] I want you to join me next week as we continue to look at the responsibility of being a man and see the pattern that exists in the Bible and why this is one of the most important lessons
[01:52:04] that this nation could ever learn.
[01:52:07] God bless you.
[01:52:09] Happy Father's Day.

[01:52:11] From the moment we wake up each morning, the battle for our attention begins.
[01:52:16] But what would happen if every day began in His presence?
[01:52:20] What if before the pressure, before the uncertainty, before the distractions of life, you grounded your heart in the promises of God?
