🧐 Overview
Theological Verdict & Summary
Sermon Summary: Does your spiritual life depend on your ability to 'stay' in God's presence, or on God's sovereign grace to find you?
Pastoral Analysis: While the sermon offers practical exhortations for prayer and devotion, it fundamentally undermines the Gospel by presenting human effort as the mechanism for receiving God's presence. The message relies heavily on moralistic imperatives and charismatic subjectivity, creating a theology of works-righteousness that leaves the congregation anxious about their performance rather than resting in Christ's finished work.
Biblical Parallel (Archetype): Laodicea — The sermon exhibits a profound reliance on therapeutic deism and moralistic self-effort, presenting a 'do-it-yourself' spirituality where human discipline and behavioral modification are the primary drivers of divine encounter. This reflects the Laodicean condition of being 'lukewarm' and self-sufficient, lacking the true, sovereign grace of the Gospel.
Big Idea: Staying in the presence of God leads to separation from the world, preparation through consecration, and divine revelation. [00:46:16 ▶️ 📄]
🎨 The Visual Metaphor
The immovable stone slab signifies divine sovereignty and the impossibility of human effort shifting God's will or earning His presence. The solitary light represents revelation and consecration, showing that God's grace descends independently of human striving, separating the sacred from the world.

🧭 Biblical Alignment Dashboard
Overall Verdict: Fundamentally in Error
| Category | Status | Reasoning |
|---|---|---|
| Gospel Presentation | ❌ FAIL | The Gospel Engine is compromised. The sermon presents a conditional encounter with God based on human preparation and discipline, effectively replacing the Gospel of Grace with a system of Moralism and Self-Reliance. |
| Soteriology | ❌ FAIL | Salvation and spiritual power are presented as synergistic results of human action ('give God your natural') rather than monergistic works of grace. |
| Bibliology | ⚠️ WEAK | The objective authority of Scripture is diminished in favor of subjective, experiential revelation ('unveiling that comes from living in God's presence'). |
| Hermeneutic | ⚠️ WEAK | Biblical narratives (Jacob, Joshua) are interpreted through a therapeutic lens focused on changing circumstances rather than receiving God's sovereign will. |
| Theology Proper | ❌ FAIL | God is portrayed as a therapeutic agent responsive to human persistence, rather than the sovereign Lord who acts according to His own counsel. |
| Sacramentology | ⚠️ WEAK | Reduction of salvation to a verbal formula without proper theological grounding in grace. |
| Confessional Depth | ❌ FAIL | The sermon lacks depth in understanding human depravity and divine sovereignty, focusing instead on behavioral modification and spiritual techniques. |
⚙️ The Gospel Engine (Confessional Distinctives)

"Every burden, every crown This is my surrender This is my surrender Here is where I lay it down Every lie and every doubt This is my surrender" [00:33:29 ▶️ 📄]
✅ Commendations

The sermon correctly identifies the necessity of persistent prayer and seeking God's face, encouraging the congregation to prioritize spiritual disciplines.
⚠️ Theological Concerns
🔴 The Error of Human Self-Sufficiency (Moralism)
Root Cause: Pelagianism (The Error of Human Self-Sufficiency)
"What you experience on Sunday is directly tied to what you receive Monday through Saturday in your own quiet time. Don't shout me now. I get it. What you experience or don't experience on a Sunday morning is directly tied to how much time you spent in God's presence on Monday through Saturday." [00:48:11 ▶️ 📄]
Correction: But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
🟠 The Error of Human Self-Sufficiency (Synergism)
Root Cause: Semi-Pelagianism (The Error of Human Self-Sufficiency)
"If you'll give God your natural, it'll come in contact with His super and become supernatural." [01:11:55 ▶️ 📄]
Correction: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
🟠 The Error of Subjective Experience (Anti-Bibliology)
Root Cause: Mysticism (The Error of Subjective Experience)
"Revelation is not the result of study, but the unveiling that comes from living in God's presence." [01:10:27 ▶️ 📄]
Correction: All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
🟠 The Error of Exaggerated Spiritual Warfare (Demonology)
Root Cause: Dualism (The Error of Exaggerated Spiritual Warfare)
"Father, we know that we're not dealing with just things of this world, but it is purely demonic and we speak against the enemy in this place today, Father." [00:31:47 ▶️ 📄]
Correction: Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain.
🟠 The Error of Verbal Formula (Soteriology)
Root Cause: Pelagianism (The Error of Human Self-Sufficiency)
"all we have to do is call on his name and say jesus you are lord you are christ i want to follow your way in your will because your word is pure your word is true and your word is holy" [01:17:30 ▶️ 📄]
Correction: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
🟠 The Error of Therapeutic Deism (MTD)
Root Cause: Moralistic Therapeutic Deism (The Error of Therapeutic Deism)
"When you come before God and you ask Him three questions, you ask yourself this question, does He know? Does He know your situation? And the answer is absolutely yes. The second question is, is it too big for our God to handle? The answer is no. And the third question is, does He have a plan for your life?" [00:29:40 ▶️ 📄]
Correction: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
🟠 The Error of Subjective Authority (Charismatic)
Root Cause: Mysticism (The Error of Subjective Experience)
"I believe something has unlatched in the Spirit in this house. I believe something has unlatched in the Spirit that allowed Him to come into the room to do something He's never done before." [00:41:22 ▶️ 📄]
Correction: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.
🟠 The Error of Coercive Prayer (Manipulation)
Root Cause: Pelagianism (The Error of Human Self-Sufficiency)
"Will you pray and say, God, I'm not leaving here like Jacob until I walk out of here with a limp. I'm not leaving here until you change my circumstance. I'm not leaving here." [00:49:43 ▶️ 📄]
Correction: But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
🟠 The Error of Minimal Sanctification (Anti-Holiness)
Root Cause: Antinomianism (The Error of Lawlessness)
"He's not looking for perfection. He's looking for us to show up." [01:12:11 ▶️ 📄]
Correction: But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Church, if you love Jesus, can you give Him a shout of praise in the room this morning?
[00:15:11] [SPEAKER UNKNOWN]:
Come on.
[00:15:12] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_03]:
Psalm 1611 says, In your presence, Lord, there is fullness of joy.
[00:15:20] And this is when I know the difference between happiness and joy.
[00:15:23] Happiness is predicated on outside circumstances and situations, but the joy of the Lord is predicated only on who I know God to be in my life.
[00:15:34] So if you know a risen Savior that has blessed you, given you hope and courage, can you give Him a shout of praise in the room?
[00:15:42] Amen.
[00:15:44] Amen.
[00:15:45] Hey, you can be seated.
[00:15:46] Turn to somebody next to you.
[00:15:47] Tell them they look good this morning.
[00:15:50] It's going to be a great day in the house of the Lord today.
[00:15:53] Well, hey, if I haven't had the chance to meet you, my name is Trevor.
[00:15:57] I'm one of the pastors here at Multiply Church, and I have the special honor and privilege of welcoming a special group of people, and that's all of our first-time guests.
[00:16:06] So whether it's your first time here today or your first time in a long time, we just want to say welcome to Multiply Church.
[00:16:13] Church, can we welcome all of our first-time guests across the room this morning?
[00:16:18] Amen.
[00:16:19] Hey, it's gonna be a great day.
[00:16:20] If this is your first time with us this morning, just a little bit of information for you.
[00:16:24] There is a card in the seat back pocket in front of you.
[00:16:28] It says, You, on it, okay?
[00:16:29] And that is what we call our You card.
[00:16:31] We wanna know a little bit about
[00:16:34] you okay so if you would be so kind to fill out that information and then after service you can take that card into our courtyard there'll be some volunteers and some leaders there to be able to greet you shake your hand get to know your story and pray with you and in exchange for that card for worshiping with us this morning we just have a small gift for you just a small token of appreciation for you being with us this morning amen
[00:16:57] Amen.
[00:16:58] Hey, well, now we're going to transition into our tithes and offerings.
[00:17:02] And I just want to speak a little bit about this really briefly.
[00:17:05] This next summer, next May 2026, our youth ministry has the opportunity to go on our very first missions trip to El Salvador.
[00:17:15] Come on, somebody.
[00:17:16] It's going to be an amazing, amazing trip.
[00:17:20] And I don't know if you've ever been on a missions trip before, but those are some of the most life-changing moments that a student or even adult are ever going to go through in their walk with Jesus.
[00:17:32] Why?
[00:17:32] Because sometimes we can get caught up in our bubble here that we really are not aware of what's going on in other parts of the world.
[00:17:39] So to be able to go and see and minister and to be used of God, that is an amazing thing.
[00:17:45] Amen?
[00:17:46] and so what we do here at multiply is we give so that things like that can happen we give so that we can do things greater and reach more people than we could ever reach in and of our own selves that's why we give so that the gospel of jesus christ can be furthered and advanced farther than we could ever go amen so there's three ways to give this morning they're gonna be on the back screen behind me you can scan the qr code
[00:18:12] you can text the word multiply lake norman to the number seven seven nine seven seven or as we go back into this next worship song and the ushers are gonna come you can give as they pass the buckets can i pray for us this morning come on lord we love you lord we thank you lord we sent your presence in this room lord we pray for this moment lord of tithes and offerings lord we pray that as your word says that when we give lord god you will press it down
[00:18:42] You will shake it together, Lord God, and You will run it over into the lives of those, Lord God, that are generous, that give, that honor You and are obedient to Your Word.
[00:18:52] Lord, through this moment, Lord, would we recognize that even though we're giving of our tithes, our finances, Lord God, You're gonna do greater things with it than we could ever do.
[00:19:01] Lord, and so we give out of a heart of joy, out of a heart of gratitude, knowing that you've blessed our lives.
[00:19:07] Lord, I pray, Lord, in this moment, Lord, for the giver.
[00:19:11] Lord, for those that are giving in this offering this morning, would you bless their homes?
[00:19:15] Lord, bless their families, bless their children, bless the work of their hands.
[00:19:19] Lord, we pray, Lord, that for the rest of this service that you would impact people.
[00:19:22] Lord, that we wouldn't just leave here and say, that was another good church service.
[00:19:25] No, but we would leave here saying, I was changed by something in that room today.
[00:19:30] Lord we pray for all of that in the name of Jesus and the church said Amen.
[00:19:38] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_01]:
Amen, amen.
[00:19:40] As those buckets pass you by, would you go ahead and stand to your feet and join us in another time of worship?
[00:19:46] But before we go ahead and get started, can we prepare our hearts in the room for what it is the Lord has for us this morning?
[00:19:52] And what that may look like, that may look like you raising your hands already this morning.
[00:19:56] That may look like you praising Jesus already this morning for what he's done.
[00:20:01] So can we just lift a praise in this room and prepare the way for the Lord this morning?
[00:20:06] Father, we worship you.
[00:20:08] We give you all the glory and all the honor.
[00:20:11] We are here for you.
[00:20:12] We make room for you, Jesus, to do what it is that you need to do in this house, my God.
[00:20:19] Father, we thank you, Jesus.
[00:20:35] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_09]:
Jesus is in this room Here right now, here right now Making this place I stand Holy ground, holy ground
[00:21:05] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]:
Your Spirit moves and breathes all around

[00:26:50] The Lord is in this place today.
[00:26:56] He's so faithful when we don't know what we need, He knows what we need.
[00:26:59] When we don't know the words to speak, He places it on our hearts.
[00:27:05] So if you need a word from the Lord this morning, lean into the presence of God in this place.
[00:27:14] We're about to enter into a time of prayer, and I would invite the prayer team up with us right now.
[00:27:23] but I want to take a moment if you're a part of the prayer team you can go ahead and make your way forward but I want to take a moment because we're all experiencing emotions of the events that happened this past week with the killing of Charlie Kirk a man of faith a man of God
[00:27:45] someone who stood his ground and wasn't afraid to step up and step in for the moment to make Jesus Christ's name known and I can imagine the emotions I know for me personally they've been high and I want to remind us as a church what we're called to stand for when we don't know what to do we hit our knees and we pray
[00:28:15] When we don't know where to go, we hit our knees and pray.
[00:28:19] When we don't know the next step, when it may seem so dark, you don't know what to do, you step forth and you hit your knees and you say, God, I don't know what to do, I don't know where I'm going, but I know you're there before me, and you've paved the way.
[00:28:36] I want to read some scripture for us this morning.
[00:28:40] Found in the Gospel of John chapter 15.
[00:28:43] Many of us are familiar with this section of Scripture.
[00:28:46] Let me just remind us of what the Lord is telling us.
[00:28:48] Starting in verse 12.
[00:28:52] This is Jesus talking.
[00:28:53] He says, This is my commandment.
[00:28:55] Love each other in the same way I have loved you.
[00:28:59] There is no greater love than to lay down one's life for one's friends.
[00:29:05] And then in verse 16, Jesus says, You didn't choose me.
[00:29:08] I chose you.
[00:29:12] I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit.
[00:29:19] Christ chose you.
[00:29:21] He chose you for a purpose.
[00:29:23] He chose you for a mission.
[00:29:28] And if anything, I'm reminded that we're called to stand in moments like this.
[00:29:34] We may have questions, we may have some fears and some doubts, but I'm telling you, our God is big enough to hold it.
[00:29:40] When you come before God and you ask Him three questions, you ask yourself this question, does He know?
[00:29:46] Does He know your situation?
[00:29:48] And the answer is absolutely yes.
[00:29:52] The second question is, is it too big for our God to handle?
[00:29:56] The answer is no.
[00:29:59] And the third question is, does He have a plan for your life?
[00:30:05] When you ask those three questions, you know that we serve a good and gracious and great God.
[00:30:11] And so as we step back into worship, whatever it is that you are going through in life, maybe you're in a great season and you just wanna pray alongside of one of our prayer team members, just to thank Him for how good He's been to you.
[00:30:31] Or maybe you're going through hell right now,
[00:30:34] I'm telling you when you enter into the presence of God and sometimes you just need someone to speak a word into your life don't let this moment go so whether it is hitting your knees at your chair or coming to pray with one of our trusted prayer partners let the Lord minister to you in this place because we as a church are going to stand we as a church are not going to back down we as a church are going to continue to press in when we need to press in
[00:31:03] because that's what we're called to do we are called to fight called to fight to make heaven crowded so Lord we say thank you Lord as we enter into this next song Father I pray that your spirit rains down on this place Father that there is nothing too small for us to bring to the foot of the cross
[00:31:27] Father, you know everything that's going on in our hearts and in our lives.
[00:31:32] Father, I lift up the Kirk family in this moment.
[00:31:35] Father, that you would just wrap your arms around Erica and their two little kids.
[00:31:39] Father, that they would know that you're there with them.
[00:31:43] Father, I pray a peace over this situation.
[00:31:47] Father, we know that we're not dealing with just things of this world, but it is purely demonic and we speak against the enemy in this place today, Father.
[00:31:54] That the enemy has no foothold, Father, because we know the end of the story, Lord.
[00:31:58] We know that you're in control.
[00:32:00] We know you have everything in your hands.
[00:32:03] So we submit it all to you.
[00:32:06] Father, in this time, I also lift up Frank Turek and his family who were there with him.
[00:32:13] He's spoken for this congregation just a few short years ago.
[00:32:18] Father, I pray that you protect his mind.
[00:32:21] I pray that you protect his heart.
[00:32:23] Father, that he comes out of this even stronger than ever.
[00:32:26] And I pray for every single person in this room today, Lord, that you would put that on our hearts, that we would do something great for you.
[00:32:37] Father, take over this space.
[00:32:39] Take over this place.
[00:32:41] We don't just make room for you, Father.
[00:32:42] We surrender it all to you.
[00:32:45] And it's in your name that we pray.
[00:32:47] Amen and Amen.
[00:33:01] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]:
In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
[00:33:21] Amen.
[00:33:29] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_10]:
Here is where I lay it down Every burden, every crown This is my surrender This is my surrender Here is where I lay it down Every lie and every doubt This is my surrender
[00:33:56] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]:
and I will make room for you to do whatever you want to to do whatever you want to and I will make room for you Jesus to do whatever you want to
[00:34:27] Here is where I lay it down Every burden, every crown This is my surrender This is my surrender Here is where I lay it down Every lie and every doubt This is my surrender
[00:34:59] God will make room for you to do whatever you want
[00:37:09] The home of religion
[00:37:36] For you, we lift you high To do whatever you want to To do whatever you want to And I will make room For you, have you able To do whatever you want to
[00:38:07] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_10]:
In Jesus' name, Amen.
[00:38:47] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_05]:
Come on, worship Him.
[00:38:55] Come on, worship Him.
[00:39:09] Don't let your worship stop.
[00:39:10] [SPEAKER UNKNOWN]:
Don't let your worship stop.
[00:39:10] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]:
I dare you to press into His presence.
[00:39:11] I dare you to take a step closer to Jesus and watch what He'll do.
[00:39:12] Come on, we're not done yet.
[00:39:13] Come on, let's sing this.
[00:39:13] Come on, step into His presence.
[00:39:14] Come on.
[00:39:14] We worship You.
[00:39:15] We praise You, Jesus.
[00:39:26] Make room for His presence!
[00:39:50] Make room for His glory!
[00:39:51] Make room for His anointing!
[00:39:51] Make room to Him touch your life!
[00:39:52] Come on!
[00:39:52] Shake up the ground of all my tradition Break down the walls of all my religion Your way is better!
[00:39:54] Your way is better!
[00:39:55] Shake up the ground of all my tradition
[00:40:13] To do whatever you want to To do whatever you want to And I will make room for you To do whatever you want to To do whatever you want to Thank you Jesus.
[00:40:39] [SPEAKER UNKNOWN]:
Thank you Jesus.
[00:40:41] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_05]:
None of you recognize, but He's here.
[00:40:46] He's here.
[00:40:49] He is here.
[00:40:50] The presence of God is walking in the midst of this place.
[00:40:54] He is here.
[00:40:58] He will resurrect dead things.
[00:41:02] He will repair broken things.
[00:41:05] He'll repair broken hearts because when He steps in the room there's nothing that comes into contact with His presence that doesn't change.
[00:41:14] Hear my heart, He's here.
[00:41:20] Praying this morning right here.
[00:41:22] I believe something has unlatched in the Spirit in this house.
[00:41:27] I believe something has unlatched in the Spirit that allowed Him to come into the room to do something He's never done before.
[00:41:36] Because of your faith, because of your belief, because of your integrity, because of you have come into the house today to worship the God of all creation and all earth.
[00:41:47] So Father God this morning in the name of Jesus, we give you praise.
[00:41:54] God if you don't go before us, we don't want to go.
[00:41:58] If you don't set the precedence, we don't want to go.
[00:42:02] So God, this morning, take all the praise.
[00:42:05] Take all the glory.
[00:42:06] Take all the honor.
[00:42:08] Take all the expectation.
[00:42:09] This is always about you.
[00:42:11] We worship you.
[00:42:12] We give you praise, God, because there's no one like you.
[00:42:17] And we thank you.
[00:42:19] We thank you because you're worthy.
[00:42:23] Holy Spirit, have your way.
[00:42:24] Do what only you can do.
[00:42:26] It's your service, we pray.
[00:42:28] We give you glory in Jesus Christ's name.
[00:42:31] Amen.
[00:42:32] Well, give God some praise this morning.
[00:42:34] Give God a shout of praise this morning.
[00:42:38] [SPEAKER UNKNOWN]:
Thank you, Lord.
[00:42:41] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_05]:
God is good.
[00:42:44] Praise the Lord.
[00:42:46] I'm a little bit excited this morning, you can tell.
[00:42:50] God is good.
[00:42:51] Do you feel the Holy Spirit in here?
[00:42:53] Do you feel the presence of God in this place?
[00:42:56] Amen.
[00:42:56] Listen, if we don't come to church and feel the presence of God, something's wrong.
[00:43:00] Amen?
[00:43:02] I don't know if you're ready for this this morning, but I am.
[00:43:07] Amen.
[00:43:09] God is good.
[00:43:11] All the time, God is good.
[00:43:12] Amen.
[00:43:14] Something's changing.
[00:43:14] Something's shifting in the atmosphere.
[00:43:17] God is up to something.
[00:43:18] If you'll step into it, God will meet you right where you're at.
[00:43:22] Amen.
[00:43:23] For those of you guys who don't know, my name is Sam Sanchez.
[00:43:27] I am one of the original 36 that helped launch this church eight years ago.
[00:43:31] Give God praise for that.
[00:43:34] I didn't do it myself.
[00:43:35] It was 36 of us that helped do this, and look at what God has done in eight years.
[00:43:39] Amen?
[00:43:40] God is good.
[00:43:42] I have been in this church for 15 years.
[00:43:47] I've seen, I started off in Concord and came here and they said, we're going to Morrisville.
[00:43:51] I'm going to Morrisville too.
[00:43:52] I live in Morrisville, praise the Lord.
[00:43:54] So God is good.
[00:43:58] I'm an elder in this church.
[00:43:59] If you guys didn't know that, I'm an elder along with Brian and Jessica.
[00:44:02] We help navigate stuff, you know, through the church and help stand in the gap and pray for our leadership and pray for our pastors and pray for our members, amen?
[00:44:13] And I am married.
[00:44:15] My wife's actually here in the front row.
[00:44:16] She's usually in nursery, but I do have a wife.
[00:44:18] She really is here.
[00:44:19] Her name is Christine, and she's usually in the nursery serving, but she's here.
[00:44:23] And two of my sons are here.
[00:44:25] I've got, how many kids I got?
[00:44:27] One, two, three, four.
[00:44:30] Yeah, four kids and seven grandkids.
[00:44:34] You say, you can't be that old.
[00:44:35] I am.
[00:44:36] Yeah, so praise the Lord.
[00:44:38] You know, God is so good.
[00:44:41] I didn't know...
[00:44:43] What was going to happen over this past week?
[00:44:46] You just don't know.
[00:44:48] I didn't know what was going to happen with Israel and everything that's going on in our country.
[00:44:53] But God knows.
[00:44:54] There's nothing that God is caught surprised by.
[00:44:57] And if there ever was a season in our life that we needed the presence of God, it's right now.
[00:45:08] If there ever was a season in our lives where we needed to step into the presence of God for real and touch heaven and not let go until something changes, it's now.
[00:45:19] Because the devil's not playing.
[00:45:21] So the church should not be playing either.
[00:45:24] Amen?
[00:45:25] We've got to fight.
[00:45:27] This is not by chance what God is doing.
[00:45:30] God birthed this in my spirit six, seven months ago.
[00:45:34] And I believe it's for the right time and the right season.
[00:45:36] It's right now.
[00:45:37] Amen?
[00:45:38] Let me pray.
[00:45:39] Father God, in Jesus' name, I thank you for your presence.
[00:45:43] I thank you for the anointing of God.
[00:45:45] I thank you for the power of your presence.
[00:45:47] I thank you, dear God, that you can do whatever you want to do.
[00:45:51] Shift the atmosphere.
[00:45:52] I thank you, God.
[00:45:53] You're changing hearts.
[00:45:54] You're changing homes.
[00:45:55] You're resurrecting marriages.
[00:45:57] God, you're causing dead things to come back to life again right now in the name of Jesus.
[00:46:02] And Father, I thank you for that, and we give you praise in Jesus' name.
[00:46:07] Amen.
[00:46:09] Where heaven meets earth in His presence.
[00:46:13] Where heaven meets earth.
[00:46:16] What does that mean to be in the presence of God?
[00:46:18] This is a rhetorical question.
[00:46:19] You'll have to raise your hand and answer it in that class.
[00:46:23] Who can enter the presence of God?
[00:46:25] How often should I enter the presence of God?
[00:46:28] Who needs the presence of God?
[00:46:31] If you don't raise your hand, you're lying.
[00:46:34] What happens in the presence of God?
[00:46:39] What do I do once I'm in the presence of God?
[00:46:42] The presence of God changes everything.
[00:46:47] The more I grow in the Lord, and please, hear my heart, I'm not here yet.
[00:46:51] I'm growing in the Lord just like you and I are together.
[00:46:56] But what I recognize in my life is that if I don't have the presence of God in my life, I'm not going to win.
[00:47:05] How many of us have made decisions over the last 30, 60, 90 days and you have not consulted the presence of God?
[00:47:13] And you wonder why all hell broke loose.
[00:47:18] See, so many times we rush to get things done.
[00:47:21] We rush to make decisions.
[00:47:22] We rush to do things and we don't consult.
[00:47:25] Say, God, what do you think about this?
[00:47:27] Holy Spirit, what do you think?
[00:47:30] I remember a time that I took a job that I know I shouldn't have taken.
[00:47:33] I know as clear as day.
[00:47:35] I walked in the interview and said, oh no, this is the devil.
[00:47:39] I shouldn't take the job, but I heard dollar signs.
[00:47:43] Don't judge me.
[00:47:44] You see them too.
[00:47:46] And I heard bonuses.
[00:47:50] I took the job when I know I shouldn't have taken it.
[00:47:54] Let go six months later.
[00:47:57] There's something about hearing the presence of God.
[00:47:59] There's something when you come to this corporate setting here and you step into worship and you get into the presence of God, God wants to speak to you something.
[00:48:07] But here's one thing I want to, the caveat is this.
[00:48:11] What you experience on Sunday is directly tied to what you receive Monday through Saturday in your own quiet time.
[00:48:19] Don't shout me now.
[00:48:21] I get it.
[00:48:23] What you experience or don't experience on a Sunday morning is directly tied to how much time you spent in God's presence on Monday through Saturday.
[00:48:33] Amen?
[00:48:36] I have some lyrics to a song.
[00:48:37] They'll go on the screen here.
[00:48:39] I'm not going to sing it.
[00:48:41] Although I probably... Let me stop.
[00:48:43] It's called Stay by William McDowell.
[00:48:47] Look at the words as I read them.
[00:48:49] I testify I know what it's like to be in the presence of the Lord.
[00:48:55] And not to know what time it is because time has stood still.
[00:48:59] And bodies were healed, families restored because we stayed here in the presence of the Lord.
[00:49:06] No one had to say a word, couldn't even make a sound, but I give everything up for the treasure I found.
[00:49:14] So I say stay.
[00:49:16] I don't want to go.
[00:49:18] Because my heart is burning here in the presence of the Lord.
[00:49:23] You know something that, I'll say the American church.
[00:49:27] Now, when I reference a church, I'm not talking about you guys.
[00:49:29] I mean, you guys are super spiritual.
[00:49:31] You guys are holy.
[00:49:32] I saw some of you guys floating this morning with halos on.
[00:49:35] So it's not you guys.
[00:49:35] I'm just talking about the church.
[00:49:40] We don't know how to wait in the Lord.
[00:49:43] Where's my old timers who know how to wait in the presence of God until he shows up?
[00:49:49] Will you pray and say, God, I'm not leaving here like Jacob until I walk out of here with a limp.
[00:49:55] I'm not leaving here until you change my circumstance.
[00:49:58] I'm not leaving here.
[00:49:59] See, we don't know what that means.
[00:50:03] Some services, I think some churches in America are called the 1115 church.
[00:50:08] Because church starts at 1030, but they show up at 1115.
[00:50:12] Once again, not you guys, trust me, not y'all.
[00:50:16] But we miss worship, we miss the songs, we catch half the message, we run out of church when church is done, and wonder why we got nothing out of it.
[00:50:28] Stay.
[00:50:31] When we worship, stay.
[00:50:34] When we're praying, stay.
[00:50:35] You know what?
[00:50:36] Get uncomfortable sometimes.
[00:50:38] If people are praying, you know what?
[00:50:39] I need some prayer.
[00:50:41] I'm going to go get some prayer.
[00:50:43] Man, you'll never know what God will do with a surrendered heart that says, God, all I want is your presence.
[00:50:51] All I want is you.
[00:50:53] I'm going to give you a quick tutorial.
[00:50:55] I'm not going to show it on the screen because I'm going to be studying in the book of Exodus.
[00:51:00] Exodus 32, I'll give you my paraphrased version, okay?
[00:51:03] This is the Sam Sanchez paraphrased version, not the Brian King version, this is my version, okay?
[00:51:09] I'm just saying, don't hold me accountable to that standard.
[00:51:13] We should be though, I'm just saying.
[00:51:16] So Exodus 32.
[00:51:18] Israelites leave Egypt.
[00:51:20] They're going to the Promised Land, and Moses goes to Mount Sinai.
[00:51:24] God gives him a word.
[00:51:24] He meets with God.
[00:51:26] He gives him some tablets.
[00:51:27] He wrote his name on it and did some things on it.
[00:51:29] And the people of God are going buck wild.
[00:51:33] Read it.
[00:51:33] You fact-check me on this.
[00:51:34] You know, Aaron, the leader down there, the priest, and he says, hey, a calf just came out of the fire.
[00:51:40] No, no, no, no, no.
[00:51:41] You did that.
[00:51:43] Because the people were getting what?
[00:51:45] Restless.
[00:51:47] So, long story short, Moses comes down, he is not happy.
[00:51:52] He takes the tablets, throws them on the ground, breaks them up, and he summons the Levites to say, you know what, go through the house and begin to slay people.
[00:52:01] Read it for yourselves.
[00:52:01] 3,000 people died.
[00:52:06] But then Exodus 33 says this, and mind you, this is the paraphrased version, right?
[00:52:10] God tells Moses to go and possess the land.
[00:52:12] I will deliver you.
[00:52:14] I will drive out everyone in front of you.
[00:52:16] But then God says, I'm not going with you.
[00:52:18] What?
[00:52:21] I'm not going with you.
[00:52:23] Then Moses began to talk to him and say, why God?
[00:52:25] Why aren't you going with me?
[00:52:27] Because you're stubborn.
[00:52:29] Not you guys.
[00:52:30] This is the Israelites.
[00:52:33] Anybody?
[00:52:34] Yeah, anyway, I'm pretty stubborn, just saying.
[00:52:37] But he says, I'm not going to, then Moses begins to plead with them and ask them, God, you know, what's going on here?
[00:52:43] And then I want to talk about one thing before we dive into the three points.
[00:52:46] All this is for free.
[00:52:47] Everything you've heard so far is my introduction, amen?
[00:52:51] Oh, you're only excited about that.
[00:52:52] That's okay, though.
[00:52:53] I'm going to preach it anyway, so just so you know.
[00:52:56] They said I had, what, an hour and a half?
[00:52:58] Oh, no.
[00:53:00] Did somebody leave right now?
[00:53:01] Shut the door.
[00:53:02] No, just joking.
[00:53:05] And then verses 7 to 11 says this, you know, Moses was instructed to build a tabernacle in the wilderness.
[00:53:12] That was the meeting place of God.
[00:53:14] And the power of God would show up, the presence of God would show up, and the people were, look at this, look at the temple.
[00:53:20] Oh, Moses in the temple.
[00:53:22] Moses in the temple.
[00:53:23] They weren't doing nothing, but they were just, look, Moses in the temple.
[00:53:26] And the fire of God came, and that's where God would talk to Moses, as a friend talks to a friend.
[00:53:32] But
[00:53:34] There's a scripture here, it's in Exodus 33, 8, and it says, verse 12, it says, After Moses had left, say Moses left, and returned, but the young man who assisted him, Joshua the son of Nun, remained behind in the temple of meetings.
[00:53:58] Now what does that mean?
[00:53:59] What was Moses doing?
[00:54:00] Moses was talking to God himself.
[00:54:02] Moses was getting instruction for the people of God.
[00:54:05] Moses was hearing from God.
[00:54:07] Moses was getting a word from heaven.
[00:54:10] And then he was done.
[00:54:12] But something about Joshua, who was there, his protege, said, Hey, Moses, I know you're leaving, but I got to stay just a little longer.
[00:54:23] There's something that I have to do.
[00:54:25] There's something that I have to say.
[00:54:27] See, when you stay in the presence of God, God is going to redirect your life.
[00:54:31] God, see, some of you guys are seeking and asking God for things, but you're not staying in his presence.
[00:54:37] Some of you guys are needing a miracle from heaven, but you're trying to do it all by yourself.
[00:54:42] You can only do so much by yourself.
[00:54:44] You can only accomplish so much.
[00:54:47] If God doesn't go before us, then it's going to be a failure.
[00:54:51] Is that not true?
[00:54:54] Now we're going to read some scripture.
[00:54:55] I have a lot of scripture, but we're going to try and get through it really quick.
[00:54:58] Amen?
[00:54:59] You can tell I'm from New York, I can talk pretty fast.
[00:55:01] We'll get through it quick.
[00:55:02] Alright?
[00:55:03] Here we go.
[00:55:05] 33, 8-11, it says this, When Moses went out of the temple of meeting, all the people would get up and stand in the entrances of their tent.
[00:55:12] They would all watch Moses until he disappeared inside, and then he went into the tent.
[00:55:17] The pillar would come down and hover over the entrance while the Lord spoke with Moses.
[00:55:21] When the people saw the cloud standing at the entrance of the tent, they would stand and bow in front of their own tents.
[00:55:27] Inside the tents of meeting, the Lord would speak to Moses face to face as one who speaks to a friend.
[00:55:34] Afterward, Moses would return to the camp, but the young man who assisted him, Josh the son of Nun, would stay behind in the tent of meeting.
[00:55:41] Verse 15.
[00:55:42] If you don't personally go with us, don't make us leave this place.
[00:55:48] How will you know if anyone will look favorably upon me and upon your people if you don't go with us?
[00:55:54] For your presence among us sets us apart, sets your people and me apart from all the people of the earth.
[00:56:02] 18, Moses responded, then show me your glorious presence.
[00:56:06] Then the Lord, the Lord replied, I will make all my goodness pass before you, and I will call out by name Yahweh before you, for I will show you mercy to anyone I choose, and I will show compassion to anyone I choose, but you may not look at me directly at my face, for no one may see me and live.
[00:56:28] The Lord continued, the Lord, look, stand near,
[00:56:32] Neon this rock as my glorious presence passes by I will hide you in the crevice of the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by then I'll remove my hand and let you see from behind but my face you cannot see that's a mouthful there Moses said if you don't go before me I want to see your glory
[00:56:58] I want to see the glory of the Lord in this place.
[00:57:01] I want to see lives change.
[00:57:03] Listen, when the glory of the Lord shows up, everything changes.
[00:57:07] When the glory of the Lord shows up, how you react to things change.
[00:57:11] When God touches you in such a way that the glory of the Lord permeates your life, you don't speak how you used to speak.
[00:57:17] You don't watch the things you used to watch.
[00:57:18] You don't... Don't shout me down.
[00:57:25] Right?
[00:57:26] You don't cut up like you used to cut up at work.
[00:57:29] Yeah, yeah, that's cool.
[00:57:30] No, it's not.
[00:57:33] We don't do the things we used to do.
[00:57:35] We don't say the things to our wives you know we shouldn't say.
[00:57:39] Right?
[00:57:47] So Joshua stayed and lingered.
[00:57:49] I got three points.
[00:57:49] I'm about to get to them right now.
[00:57:50] Then I'm done.
[00:57:51] I promise.
[00:57:53] Joshua stayed and lingered in the presence of the Lord.
[00:57:57] How long do you think Joshua stayed?
[00:57:59] Does it matter?
[00:58:01] Does it?
[00:58:06] Do we know what Joshua's exact prayers were?
[00:58:09] No, doesn't say.
[00:58:11] All we know is that Joshua stayed in the presence of the Lord.
[00:58:16] What was Joshua thinking?
[00:58:17] Who was he?
[00:58:18] Did he have the right to do that?
[00:58:21] Did Joshua deserve to be there?
[00:58:25] What was God doing?
[00:58:25] What was God up to?
[00:58:29] Let me put this little correlation together for you.
[00:58:33] Who went to the Promised Land?
[00:58:37] Joshua.
[00:58:39] Moses didn't for numerous reasons.
[00:58:42] Had some anger issues.
[00:58:43] He got some things all messed up.
[00:58:46] But something happened in Joshua's life when he was in the presence of the Lord.
[00:58:52] Something, he wasn't there.
[00:58:54] See, he didn't even know what was going on, but God said, if you'll stay here just a moment, I'm about to change your life.
[00:59:00] If you stay in his presence long enough, he will give you what you've desired for.
[00:59:05] Doesn't the Bible say that God will give you what?
[00:59:09] The desires of your life.
[00:59:12] What if the desire of your heart was to be in His presence?
[00:59:15] What if the desire of your and my heart was to be in His presence until Jesus showed up?
[00:59:20] What would God would revolutionize this world?
[00:59:23] God would, listen, this church would be too small because we'd be having seats outside and we'd be slammed past because we want the presence of God.
[00:59:33] Amen?
[00:59:37] How many times have we come to church
[00:59:41] and just kind of, I'm here.
[00:59:47] Quick worship.
[00:59:50] Why are you sitting next to me?
[00:59:52] I don't know.
[00:59:54] They're sitting in my chair.
[00:59:55] Oh, that's your chair.
[01:00:00] I'm not praising God today.
[01:00:01] Nope.
[01:00:04] And we wonder why we don't see change.
[01:00:09] Your expectancy
[01:00:11] Your preparation, and I'm going into the message right now for real.
[01:00:17] God's presence will give you and cause you to be separate.
[01:00:23] Say separate.
[01:00:26] The presence of God will cause there to be a separation.
[01:00:30] Exodus 33, 16 says this, How will anyone know that you look favorably on me?
[01:00:36] On your people if you don't go with us.
[01:00:38] For your presence among us sets you apart, your people apart, and me apart from all other people on the earth.
[01:00:49] So these things that happened this week, right?
[01:00:52] Can I just say this as Pastor Manny mentioned?
[01:00:55] This is spiritual.
[01:00:58] Say spiritual.
[01:00:59] This is not political.
[01:01:01] This is strictly spiritual.
[01:01:05] See, the devil's not playing games.
[01:01:08] The devil wants to shut the church up.
[01:01:10] The devil wants to shut his people up.
[01:01:12] But we have to rise up and say, you know what?
[01:01:15] I'm gonna be separate.
[01:01:17] I'm gonna walk a walk.
[01:01:18] When you walk into the room, people know there's a difference about you.
[01:01:21] People know that you're called of God.
[01:01:24] Come on, somebody.
[01:01:25] See, that's the problem in American church.
[01:01:27] There's no difference sometimes.
[01:01:28] There's nothing that's different.
[01:01:31] We look like everybody else does.
[01:01:34] We talk, we jam to the same music everybody else does and wonder why we have no anointing.
[01:01:43] Sorry, but this is what God told me.
[01:01:47] And there's no separation.
[01:01:50] There's nothing that makes us different.
[01:01:52] There's nothing that we look different about.
[01:01:54] There's nothing that we look different.
[01:01:56] We just look like the status quo.
[01:01:58] Once again, not this church.
[01:02:00] I'm saying about the global church.
[01:02:02] So don't get offended.
[01:02:04] If you have an email, send it to Pastor Manny.
[01:02:05] Don't send it to me.
[01:02:06] I'm just the elder.
[01:02:07] I don't know.
[01:02:10] Just saying.
[01:02:11] You can talk to me.
[01:02:12] We'll have a conversation.
[01:02:13] 2 Corinthians 6.17 says this, Therefore come out from among them, be separate, says the Lord.
[01:02:20] Touch not on any unclean thing, and I will receive you.
[01:02:26] So if you're touching unclean things, then God is not re... Maybe we're praying and nothing's happening, maybe because we have our hands touching unclean things.
[01:02:43] Psalms 4.3 says this, Know the Lord has set apart his faithful servant for himself.
[01:02:50] The Lord hears when I call to him.
[01:02:55] If we will separate ourselves, God's gonna hear when you call.
[01:03:01] You gonna love what you've been praying for?
[01:03:04] God's hearing it.
[01:03:08] God's hearing your cry.
[01:03:09] God is hearing your cry.
[01:03:11] If you will surrender to Him, God will hear your cry.
[01:03:14] It may not happen tomorrow.
[01:03:16] It may not happen next week, next year, but God will bring the person that you've been praying for to the house of the Lord.
[01:03:21] They'll give their heart to Jesus because you're faithful to Him.
[01:03:25] Come on, somebody.
[01:03:26] That's what God is about to do.
[01:03:27] God will break every chain.
[01:03:30] God will break every yoke you've been praying for.
[01:03:34] But we have to get away.
[01:03:35] We have to be separate, amen?
[01:03:38] Say separate.
[01:03:40] The presence of God separates us from people not to isolate us, but to mark us, refine us, prepare us for a greater purpose.
[01:03:52] It is in the separation that God reveals himself most clearly to us.
[01:04:01] I want to hear his voice.
[01:04:05] I'm tired of the same old mediocre.
[01:04:08] Church life.
[01:04:11] I want to hear the presence of God.
[01:04:12] I want to feel the presence of God like we felt this morning.
[01:04:15] See, but we have to cultivate that.
[01:04:17] We have to mature that.
[01:04:19] We have to say, God, I appreciate your presence and I'm going to show up here with an expecting heart because I want to hear from you.
[01:04:27] God has everything you need.
[01:04:30] There's not one thing that God wants to withhold from you if you'll spend time in his presence.
[01:04:38] My God, hear my voice.
[01:04:40] Hear His voice.
[01:04:43] His presence.
[01:04:45] The presence of God will bring about a time of preparation.
[01:04:49] So you have a separation and a preparation.
[01:04:52] Exodus 19, 10-11 says this, The Lord said to Moses, Go to all the people and consecrate them for today and tomorrow.
[01:05:00] Have them wash their clothes and be ready by the third day because on that day the Lord will come down from Mount Sinai
[01:05:07] in the sight of all his people.
[01:05:08] Joshua 3.5 says this, Joshua told the people, consecrate yourself, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you.
[01:05:18] Draw nigh to God and he'll draw nigh to you.
[01:05:22] Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
[01:05:27] There's something about consecration tied with preparation that attracts God's anointing.
[01:05:36] There's something when we do that, when we say, God, I'm preparing my heart.
[01:05:40] See, what would God do if we showed up this morning prepared at 8 o'clock?
[01:05:45] You were seeking his face.
[01:05:46] Say, God, I need to hear a word from heaven.
[01:05:48] I need to hear something from you.
[01:05:50] If you prepare your heart in that way, God will show up and do something for you.
[01:05:57] It all goes together.
[01:05:58] Amen?
[01:06:02] Consecration, Drawing near to God.
[01:06:05] How about the word repentance?
[01:06:06] There's a word no one likes to talk about.
[01:06:10] What does that mean?
[01:06:10] It means I was going in one direction and now I'm going to repent and go in this direction.
[01:06:16] It doesn't mean that here's what repentance is not.
[01:06:18] I ask God every week for the same thing.
[01:06:20] Oh Lord forgive me.
[01:06:21] And you don't change.
[01:06:24] Oh Lord forgive me.
[01:06:25] And you don't change.
[01:06:26] See something about the about face, the 180, and you go a different direction.
[01:06:31] That's repentance.
[01:06:31] Amen?
[01:06:33] Renewal.
[01:06:34] How about forgiveness of ourselves and others?
[01:06:40] There's so much I'm going to jump down to this one here.
[01:06:41] God's presence is freely given, but the depth of what we experience often depends on the preparation of our hearts through prayer, consecration, and holiness.
[01:06:55] Part number three.
[01:06:58] The presence of God will bring revelation.
[01:07:01] So you got separation,
[01:07:03] You got preparation and you got revelation.
[01:07:07] God wants to reveal himself to you like you've never seen him before.
[01:07:11] God wants to give you more than just a surface relationship with him.
[01:07:16] God, like Moses, he said, God, I want to see your glory.
[01:07:19] You do?
[01:07:20] We sung this song this morning.
[01:07:22] He said the veil was torn down.
[01:07:23] Everything, guys, there is nothing holding us back from getting into the presence of God and seeing Him move.
[01:07:31] The veil is missing.
[01:07:32] The veil is torn.
[01:07:33] We have to show up.
[01:07:35] My God, if we'll get into His presence with a hunger and a desire for righteousness, if we do that, He will show up in your life.
[01:07:45] I'll tell you, when I was, my first wife passed away at the age of 28 from cancer.
[01:07:51] She fought cancer.
[01:07:52] Some of you guys know this story.
[01:07:55] She fought.
[01:07:56] And I was doing youth ministry back in Florida for a long time.
[01:07:59] And I was still doing youth ministry.
[01:08:01] And I was alone.
[01:08:02] My kids were up north.
[01:08:04] And I was so lonely.
[01:08:08] I said, God, where are you?
[01:08:10] Where are you?
[01:08:14] Where are you?
[01:08:16] Look at this.
[01:08:17] It's a wreck.
[01:08:21] I walked into my home, drove up in Coral Springs, Florida, up Sample Road.
[01:08:33] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_04]:
I walked in my house, my little apartment, unlocked the door.
[01:08:46] I was by myself, but I wasn't.
[01:08:51] But I wasn't.
[01:08:55] Because He was here.
[01:08:59] But I didn't know what to do.
[01:09:04] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_05]:
The breath of God.
[01:09:05] The breath of God.
[01:09:06] The breath of God.
[01:09:07] The anointing of God walked into my house.
[01:09:10] He said, Sam, I've got you.
[01:09:12] I know exactly what you need.
[01:09:14] I am your Prince of Peace.
[01:09:16] I'm your strength.
[01:09:17] I'm your joy.
[01:09:20] had nothing to do with me.
[01:09:23] All it did, I was hungry for His presence.
[01:09:26] But sometimes when there's nothing you can do, except say, Jesus, I need your presence.
[01:09:36] Guys, as you're standing here in front of me, I felt the presence of the Lord.
[01:09:42] It was so tangible.
[01:09:44] It was so real.
[01:09:45] He said, I've got you.
[01:09:47] He didn't write it on the wall.
[01:09:49] But He's spoken into my heart.
[01:09:53] I'll never forget that.
[01:09:55] And a person with an experience with God is never at the mercy with a person that just has a theory.
[01:10:02] When you've experienced the presence of God, when you've experienced the glory of God, it changes your perspective.
[01:10:12] I'm not even going to read these scriptures.
[01:10:14] I can't even see them.
[01:10:15] Sorry.
[01:10:22] You know, Watchman Nee says this.
[01:10:24] You can skip down to that.
[01:10:27] Revelation is not the result of study, but the unveiling that comes from living in God's presence.
[01:10:34] D.L.
[01:10:34] Moody said this.
[01:10:35] The Bible was not given for information, but for transformation.
[01:10:41] And that transformation comes by the presence of the Spirit who reveals it.
[01:10:47] John Calvin.
[01:10:49] Without the illumination of the Spirit,
[01:10:51] The Word can do nothing.
[01:10:54] It's only His presence that light shines upon the Scriptures.
[01:11:00] As we go back into worship, I want to say one more thing really quick.
[01:11:08] The enemy will let you tithe.
[01:11:14] He'll let you serve.
[01:11:16] He'll let you give.
[01:11:17] Wow, I sold my tithe, that offering.
[01:11:20] Yeah, okay.
[01:11:21] But you know what He'll do?
[01:11:22] He'll let you read His Word.
[01:11:23] He'll fight you like hell to get into His presence.
[01:11:27] He'll fight you to keep you out of the presence of God because in His presence, there's fullness of joy.
[01:11:34] In His presence, there's deliverance.
[01:11:37] In His presence, you can walk out a champion in His presence.
[01:11:41] You remember Superman and the phone booth?
[01:11:44] Listen, listen, when Superman was Clark Kent, he walked into the phone booth and came out Superman.
[01:11:52] Listen to me.
[01:11:53] Listen, listen, listen.
[01:11:55] If you'll give God your natural, it'll come in contact with His super and become supernatural.
[01:12:03] My God, I just, I just want Him.
[01:12:09] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_04]:
I'm not perfect.
[01:12:11] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_05]:
He's not looking for perfection.
[01:12:13] He's looking for us to show up.
[01:12:15] He's looking for us to get it.
[01:12:16] Say, God, if you don't go before me, and stop making decisions on your own.
[01:12:20] Stop making those dumb decisions at work.
[01:12:22] If you don't go before me, I can't make the decision without you.
[01:12:30] I just want His presence.
[01:12:33] God wants this place to be inhabited with people who are hungry for the supernatural.
[01:12:39] People who are hungry for God's presence.
[01:12:40] People who are not going to accept the status quo.
[01:12:43] People who want a revival in their homes, in their marriages, in their children.
[01:12:48] You want to see breakthrough?
[01:12:49] Get into His presence.
[01:12:51] You want to see the anointing?
[01:12:52] Step into His presence.
[01:12:55] So as we go back into worship, I'm going to challenge you.
[01:12:59] Don't do the norm.
[01:13:01] Don't do what you always have done.
[01:13:02] Because if you do what you always have done, you'll get what you always had.
[01:13:08] Step into His presence.
[01:13:10] Worship Him because of who He is.
[01:13:12] Amen?
[01:13:12] Let's do that.
[01:13:23] [SPEAKER UNKNOWN]:
And I will make friends
[01:14:01] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]:
I will make room for you To do whatever you want to
[01:15:17] All my religion your way is bad Your way is bad Shake up the ground of all my tradition Break down the walls of all my religion
[01:15:50] Let's sing together.
[01:16:31] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_00]:
There's this one line in this song called, Your Way is Better.
[01:16:39] Maybe you are here this morning and you haven't experienced that way before.
[01:16:46] What I appreciate about Sam is that he's not just speaking words, but he is living them.
[01:16:54] And you can feel that in his conviction.
[01:16:59] What I took away from this message, Sam,
[01:17:02] It's a difference between knowing about and knowing of to actually experiencing God and the difference that that can make in our lives.
[01:17:17] And I can hear your heart through it because you want all of us to know, not just to know about Him, not just to know of Him, but to experience His presence on a personal level.
[01:17:30] See, that's why Christ came.
[01:17:33] and so that he could tear the veil so that we can enter into God's presence not through a mediator but have direct access to our heavenly father but all we have to do is call on his name and say jesus you are lord you are christ i want to follow your way in your will because your word is pure your word is true and your word is holy he's talking to us right now saying i want you to experience everything i have for you
[01:18:02] I want you to experience everything that I have for you.
[01:18:07] But it starts with a simple declaration.
[01:18:11] A simple declaration, but man, it's the most powerful declaration that you can make in your life is by saying yes to Jesus.
[01:18:18] It starts with saying yes.
[01:18:26] And maybe you know Him.
[01:18:28] Maybe you've been walking alongside of Jesus for quite some time now.
[01:18:32] But something is shifting in your heart right now saying, Lord, I've got to enter in your presence even more.
[01:18:39] The Lord will speak to you.
[01:18:41] He'll reveal some things in your life as He's done for me.
[01:18:46] Spend the time just seeking His presence as you learn today.
[01:18:50] It doesn't have to be these fancy theological words.
[01:18:54] You can literally just sit there and close your eyes and let the Lord speak to you.
[01:18:57] I promise you He'll show y'all.
[01:19:00] He'll show up.
[01:19:02] Time and time again, but it starts with a yes.
[01:19:08] Are you willing to say yes to Jesus?
[01:19:13] So Lord, we say yes to you.
[01:19:18] Thank you for paving a path for us.
[01:19:25] The path that you have paved, we are willing to walk on because you've gone before us.
[01:19:35] Thank you for meeting us in such a sweet way in this place this morning.
[01:19:44] Lord, there may be individuals here that are your children that do not know you yet on a personal level, but you're stirring something in their heart that is saying, come to me.
[01:19:57] and you're drawing them near to you in this moment.
[01:20:01] I wanna tell someone this morning that you're not too far away from God for Him to do a miracle in your life.
[01:20:16] You're not too far away.
[01:20:17] The thing that you're thinking of right now, God knows and He's got you.
[01:20:30] Run to Him.
[01:20:32] Would you run to Him?
[01:20:33] Would you be so bold enough this morning just to run to your Heavenly Father?
[01:20:38] I promise you this.
[01:20:40] His arms are wide open.
[01:20:43] He can't wait to embrace you.
[01:20:49] But it's by saying yes to Him.
[01:20:54] So Lord, today we give this to You.
[01:20:57] We give You this time.
[01:20:59] We give you this space, and may this moment not be the end, but just the start of us truly experiencing what the presence of God looks like in our lives.
[01:21:12] It's your name that we pray, and everyone said, amen and amen.
[01:21:18] Hey, I wanna encourage all of us this morning, right outside these doors, we have a table that is set up that is for prayer.
[01:21:27] I would encourage you to go out there and get prayed over.
[01:21:31] If the Lord's speaking you today and you're saying yes to Jesus and you want to receive Christ, go to that table.
[01:21:39] We have people that want to pray with you, pray over you, to help you walk this journey of being a disciple of Christ.
[01:21:49] Maybe it's a stirring in your heart right now.
[01:21:51] Don't let that stirring just go by.
[01:21:53] Go back to that table to get prayed over.
[01:21:58] As you saw out in the lobby, or in the courtyard I should say, as you were walking in as well, we have our second week of group launch.
[01:22:04] Can we celebrate group launch real quick as a church family?
[01:22:12] This is our way of stepping into community.
[01:22:14] This fall we have classes being launched.
[01:22:18] We have ministries being launched.
[01:22:19] We have new groups getting started.
[01:22:22] Maybe you were here last week but you didn't sign up for a group, you didn't sign up for a class, you didn't sign up for a ministry.
[01:22:28] My encouragement would be this week today to sign up for something to get plugged into.
[01:22:34] Because we only gather here for about 90 minutes on a Sunday.
[01:22:38] The true church happens Monday through Saturday a lot of times in these groups.
[01:22:43] So my encouragement would be spend some time.
[01:22:45] We have a food truck out there with free mini donuts.
[01:22:48] Feel free to hang out.
[01:22:49] We'll have some music playing, but go around to the different tables.
[01:22:52] Maybe you went around last week, but you said, man, I wanna check out the tables one more time.
[01:22:56] Maybe you missed something last week that you wanna be a part of this fall.
[01:23:00] We have some amazing classes that are getting started.
[01:23:02] Sam is actually leading a class called Alpha.
[01:23:05] This class is unbelievable.
[01:23:06] It's a great curriculum to show you, after you say yes to Jesus, then what?
[01:23:12] Now what?
[01:23:13] Sometimes the best teacher is a simple reminder.
[01:23:17] So I would encourage you to check out that class called Alpha.
[01:23:20] We have our marriage ministry launching this fall.
[01:23:22] We have a six-week class that's going to be happening in the fall.
[01:23:26] I would encourage you to sign up for that.
[01:23:27] We have our young adults ministry getting launched this fall as well.
[01:23:30] We have groups that are studying.
[01:23:32] We have groups that are golfing.
[01:23:33] We have groups that are hanging out on Saturday mornings.
[01:23:35] We have study groups.
[01:23:36] My encouragement is this.
[01:23:37] The reason why we spent so much time the last two weeks on community is because we know it matters.
[01:23:45] It matters.
[01:23:47] So spend some time after service today in the courtyard, hanging out with your church family, grabbing a donut, grabbing a coffee, and checking out the groups and ministries being launched this fall.
[01:23:57] And last but not least, we do have our men's breakfast.
[01:23:59] All the men in the house say, what's up?
[01:24:02] Men's breakfast happening Saturday, September 27th at 8 a.m. Do me a favor and scan the QR code to let us know you're coming.
[01:24:12] Hey, listen, I know guys are like, I'll sign it up later.
[01:24:16] Do it today because we need to know how many eggs we need to get from Costco, okay?
[01:24:20] So I need to know how many eggs you guys are going to eat.
[01:24:21] So make sure you sign up for that men's ministry breakfast if you haven't signed up for it already.
[01:24:25] But that's going to be a great time for us to worship together, for us to hear a word, but also just some time for us to fellowship.
[01:24:31] and community together as a men's ministry.
[01:24:33] So make sure you sign up for that.
[01:24:35] Church, we love you.
[01:24:36] We can't wait to hang out with you out in the courtyard, but we also can't wait to see you next Sunday, same time, same place, as we continue to love Jesus and change the world.
[01:24:45] God bless you.
[01:24:45] See you next Sunday.
