❓ What do these grades mean?
We do not issue this rating to attack the speaker, but to protect the listener. This church's overall teaching trend consistently deviates from sound doctrine. As per Romans 16:17, we identify these patterns so believers can guard their hearts.
🧐 Overview
Sermon Summary: This sermon uses the familiar story of Jesus feeding the 5,000 as a launchpad to teach that God's primary desire is for believers to achieve financial success and become 'moguls.' While starting from a biblical text, the message ultimately shifts the goal of Christianity from knowing God to acquiring wealth, redefining core concepts like 'blessing' and 'prosperity' in material terms.
Big Idea: God provides abundantly for those who trust in Him, even in the face of scarcity and doubt. [01:08:46 ▶️ 📄]
Pastoral Analysis: The sermon presents a significant theological error by systematically reinterpreting the miracle of the loaves and fishes through the lens of the Prosperity Gospel. The homiletical method is pretextual, using John 6 not to expound on Christ's identity as the Bread of Life, but to provide a template for personal enterprise. This is compounded by a heavy reliance on subjective authority, with the pastor making multiple 'declarations' of wealth and success over the congregation, a practice rooted in Word of Faith theology. The extremely low text-to-talk ratio and frequent interruptions during the Scripture reading further demonstrate a low view of the sufficiency of the text itself.
Biblical Parallel(Archetype): Thyatira — The sermon actively promotes a seductive form of the Prosperity Gospel, redefining blessing in temporal terms and encouraging believers to pursue material wealth as a sign of faith.
🧭 Biblical Alignment Dashboard
Overall Verdict: Fundamentally in Error
| Category | Status | Reasoning |
|---|---|---|
| Soteriology | ❌ FAIL | The gospel's purpose is distorted from reconciliation with God into a mechanism for achieving a 'multiplied blessed life' on earth. Salvation's benefits are redefined primarily in terms of temporal prosperity, which corrupts the message of the cross. |
| Bibliology | ❌ FAIL | Scripture is not treated as the final authority but as a sourcebook for principles of success. The low ratio of Scripture read to commentary given, combined with frequent interruptions, subordinates the biblical text to the pastor's personal ideas and declarations. |
| Hermeneutic | ❌ FAIL | The hermeneutic is fundamentally anthropocentric (man-centered). The miracle of the loaves is interpreted not as a sign pointing to Christ's divine identity and substitutionary work, but as a model for the believer's personal enrichment and business success. |
| Theology Proper | ❌ FAIL | God is portrayed as a utilitarian means to a material end. His primary attribute in this sermon is His ability and desire to make believers financially prosperous, which diminishes His holiness, sovereignty, and the ultimate purpose of His glory in all things. |
| Sacramentology | ⚪ N/A | The sermon leads up to the observance of communion, but the transcript ends before the liturgy is performed. Therefore, a theological evaluation of the practice cannot be made. |

✅ Commendations
Biblical Literacy | Correct Factual Identification
The pastor correctly notes that the feeding of the 5,000 is, apart from the Resurrection, the only miracle recorded in all four Gospels, demonstrating attention to the biblical data.
Pastoral Application | Encouragement of Anonymous Giving
The encouragement to give to 'neighbors' without seeking personal recognition or having one's name attached aligns with the biblical principle of giving in secret found in Matthew 6.
⚠️ Theological Concerns
🔴 Prosperity Gospel / Word of Faith
Root Cause: Prosperity Gospel / Word of Faith: This teaching system redefines the atonement to include guarantees of physical health and financial wealth for believers in this life. It often involves the practice of 'positive confession,' where believers are taught to speak or declare their desired outcomes into existence.
"I declare a wisdom upon you to make money to save money to spend it wisely I declare you are a you are a a blessed, miracle-ized mogul." [01:25:40 ▶️ 📄]
Correction: The Bible warns against the love of money and the desire to be rich, stating it is a trap that leads to destruction (1 Timothy 6:9-10). The goal of the gospel is not earthly wealth but eternal life and godliness with contentment, which is of great gain (1 Timothy 6:6). Jesus's work makes us rich in mercy and grace, not necessarily in currency (Ephesians 2:4-7).
🔴 Anthropocentric Hermeneutic (Narcigesis)
Root Cause: Anthropocentric Hermeneutic (Idolatry of Self): This is an approach to Scripture that places humanity, rather than God, at the center of the biblical narrative. It reads the Bible primarily for what it says about human potential, success, and fulfillment, rather than what it reveals about God's character, glory, and redemptive plan in Christ.
"You don't just think about your job. You think about your enterprise." [01:26:06 ▶️ 📄]
Correction: Scripture's primary purpose is to testify about Christ (John 5:39). The miracle of the loaves was a sign pointing to a greater reality: Jesus is the true manna from heaven, and belief in Him leads to eternal life. The application is not about building an 'enterprise,' but about forsaking all to follow Him.
🟠 Subjective Authority (Unwarranted Declarations)
Root Cause: Neo-Montanism: This refers to any teaching that claims new, authoritative, and binding revelations or declarations from God that exist outside of the closed canon of Scripture. It undermines the sufficiency of the Bible by suggesting modern words from individuals carry divine, creative power.
"I declare it right now... I declare a wisdom upon you... You are blessed and your family shall be saved." [01:25:27 ▶️ 📄]
Correction: Pastors are called to 'preach the word' (2 Timothy 4:2), not to create new realities through personal declarations. The power for salvation and blessing lies in the Gospel itself (Romans 1:16), not in the performative speech of a minister. We are to pray 'Your will be done,' submitting to God's authority, not commanding our own.

[00:25:23] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[00:25:23] trauma, man. That's a trauma. You move from your house to a hotel that ain't home, and then you go to another space that's not home, but you're making it home. We were over there. Was it yesterday we
[00:25:36] were over there? And she's cooking roast beef, so it's starting to smell more like home all the time.
[00:25:41] You cook lunch or dinner, it'll start smelling like mama in the house. It'll be all right then.
[00:25:46] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[00:25:46] You and Pastor Debbie, y'all constantly wanting to know how we are and how the kids are and what you could do for us. We're so grateful.
[00:25:57] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[00:25:57] I ain't never seen a mattress that big
[00:25:59] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[00:25:59] in my life. We got to get everybody comfortable. My babies like to sleep with me.
[00:26:05] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]

[00:26:08] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[00:26:08] Yes.
[00:26:09] Everybody's got beds.
[00:26:10] You guys blessed us with mattresses for our beds.
[00:26:18] We were trying to think of everything that we would need to go back and get to bring it to our new home.
[00:26:27] But y'all have blessed us so, I mean, just unbelievably that the only things we need to return to get is just sentimental things because...
[00:26:37] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[00:26:37] Yeah, and get them.
[00:26:38] Yeah.
[00:26:39] Get them.
[00:26:40] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]

[00:26:42] But y'all have just overwhelmingly blessed us.
[00:26:50] And church is never, you know, it can be warfare.
[00:26:54] never going to be easy to walk with God or to walk in unity with his people at all times but you stay the course with God and you stay the course with his
[00:27:06] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[00:27:06] people because you need both so proud of you God will bring a blessed amoni into your mess damoni for the sake of a testimony let's give that testimony now
[00:27:24] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]
[00:27:24] Angela happened to me I was but your love broke me free who made me see hallelujah
[00:28:16] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_03]
[00:28:16] like being here in the flesh there is nobody came and tabernacled among us he said I got to get down there and fill them I got to touch them I got to see where they are and that's how we felt this morning thank you for being in the house today
[00:43:17] thank you for whatever you brought with you to this place to lay on the altar and say I don't care what I gotta do I'm bringing it if it's mess I'm bringing it if it's a testimony
[00:43:29] I'm bringing it you probably saw those tables out in the foyer if you could see past the crowd of people because we were all out there hugging each other. Today is our annual bake sale that
[00:43:43] funds what we do in the summer ministries to make it so available for neighbors and for people inside the house. There's no way we could start with a budget. I want you to know what kind of
[00:43:55] house you belong to, Hope. It's not like we meet together in January and say, okay, you've got a thousand dollars make it work you know what we do we meet together in January and say this is the
[00:44:07] date God's going to meet with us and whatever it takes we're going to make it happen for the generations and these are the kind of moments that you can partner with us some of you have
[00:44:17] been baking all week and thanks be to God we were able to come today because you'd had a lot to eat at your house on your own just saying you'd had to invite neighbors to come help you eat up all
[00:44:26] that food so when you go out today after Eucharist after the final amen those tables are going to lift open and there are so many wonderful things thank you for the prayers that start even now the
[00:44:41] kingdom ed leadership team we've been tearing those books apart looking at every activity when I tell you VBS if we had it tomorrow speaks to right where we are but when we get to July it's
[00:44:53] going to be speaking even louder. I thank you, God, that you are our shepherd. You are our defender.
[00:45:00] You are our protector. And these children don't just know it as words in their head. They know it in real life examples because they see him at work in the testimonies in this house. And we will
[00:45:13] say it all of our days. So come out and see us after church. Thank you, Pastor Christy. We have
[00:45:20] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_00]
[00:45:20] the most incredible kingdom education department. There are times when Brian and I will be talking to the boys and they'll say something and we're just bewildered. And we know that's Pastor Christy and her remarkable team. And so if you want to support that, go out there. This is an easy way
[00:45:35] to do it, y'all. I mean, how many of you know if you have to have somebody eat cake for the calls to sign me up? Here I am. It's going to be auction style this year too, because here's the reality.
[00:45:44] We learned that you guys are willing to pay a little more than $25 or $40 a cake. And some of are quite competitive and so we're going to leverage that for the good of our seed so make
[00:45:52] sure you know when you're out there know what your highest and your best price is and put it down especially if you want to go home with that cake so be sure to do that hopefully you all have
[00:46:01] received your contribution statement for your faithful and covenant giving to this house we emailed those out earlier in january and we sent that to the primary email you have on file here so if you didn't get it check with your spouse they might have gotten it and some of you
[00:46:17] who prefer not to get that via email, we're sent that in your mailbox. Of course, the mail's been a little slow with all this snow and ice, but hopefully everyone's received it by now. If you
[00:46:26] haven't, please let me know. We want to make sure that you get to see that and you get to testify of all the incredible ways that God's used you and your covenant giving this past year. Bishop
[00:46:36] talked earlier about our dear family, the Maxwells, and what they went through, where they lost virtually everything in the house fire. If you were compelled by that and haven't had a chance to bless them with their registry and you would like to give, we encourage you to do that. Just
[00:46:49] simply note neighbors on your check or you can go online and give there. And Pastor Debbie is going to come and talk to you about the video you're about to see and just the faithful ministry that
[00:46:59] we have year round to our neighbors in our community. Thank you so much, Heather. I am so
[00:47:06] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_04]
[00:47:06] grateful for our kingdom education department. I said to my husband last night, we need to pray for them because those teachers today because just like you haven't been in the house in two weeks and you couldn't wait to get in this house they came into the house and went into the classrooms
[00:47:19] and then they went into classrooms with children that have not been in a classroom for two and a half weeks I'm thinking from the nursery on ups beginning with my granddaughter she's thought for the last two and a half weeks the world is about her and she's getting a reality check this morning
[00:47:35] that it kind of is but mostly not and so those teachers today in every classroom and listen these classrooms are not where they just sit and listen like in a regular classroom they are active
[00:47:48] they have experiential learning so it's not that they're sitting still but still it's a lot so we're just so grateful so make sure when you go pick up your children you say an extra thank you
[00:47:58] to these remarkable teachers in our kingdom education from the nursery that babies on up I was so, when I realized we were going to miss church the first Sunday, I was mad about it, but I thought, you know what, we're going to make the most of it. And so Bishop and I,
[00:48:15] we stayed in and we enjoyed it and just had a wonderful time. But then when that second thing came, that was hell on wheels. I was so done. And I was so frustrated because we talked
[00:48:28] about the, in the spirit realm, the enemy knew exactly what he was doing. We were coming through the culmination of a 21 day fast. One that has never affected this house more than this one.
[00:48:40] More people were in it, were really in it. And we were getting to the culmination and then we just went, fell off the cliff in that we could not gather. And so I'm reminding you right now that
[00:48:53] we are resetting. Okay. It's like January all over again. We're resetting this Thursday night.
[00:48:58] I watch people come and get in the midweek manna that aren't normally even here because they were like I'm gonna begin this year right let's pretend we're starting again this Thursday there is worthwhile meat in those times together and so be here this
[00:49:15] Thursday evening at 7 p.m. the Forsyth woman magazines are out there the physical ones are out there at the Welcome Center if you would like to there's the birthday girl it's Kelsey's birthday where's Kelsey she's feeding
[00:49:30] She's feeding Ariel Eden right now.
[00:49:32] We know where she is.
[00:49:34] But this, I wrote it, I put it digitally out on social media this week, and so many people inboxed me because it just, it was hard for me to write this one.
[00:49:44] I wrote about love like you've never been hurt.
[00:49:48] And it was hard for me to write, but, man, I had no idea how much it was going to resonate with others because if you love well, if you lead others, if you love like Jesus, you're going to have some
[00:50:05] Judas's in your life. If you don't have some Judas's to show for it, then we've missed the mark. We didn't love like Jesus. And so pick up a physical copy, take it to somebody to minister
[00:50:16] to them. Lastly, we shared the video about all the money that we gave to nations of in 2025 alone.
[00:50:28] This week, we're focusing on what we do for neighbors.
[00:50:33] Now, what we do for neighbors, we spend a lot of money because we have people that work here during the day.
[00:50:39] There's not one day of the week except Sunday that this ministry is not working with food for our neighbors.
[00:50:47] Not one day.
[00:50:47] And it takes boatloads of volunteers.
[00:50:51] There's no way we could do it without this army that I'm looking at that comes every Saturday to help us do what we do.
[00:50:58] And so this, you have such, I mean, you had your money in the other, but you have your boots on the ground with this one.
[00:51:05] And I'm just so proud of it.
[00:51:08] I ask you when it goes up on social media today, please share it.
[00:51:12] Someone said to me a few weeks ago, they said, people think you're bragging about your church like, and I'm thinking, sweetheart, if you can't brag about your church, why are you there?
[00:51:22] What the world?
[00:51:23] I am so bragging on the church of the Lord Jesus Christ in the midst of a culture that mocks us and thinks that we're benign and impotent.
[00:51:36] And I'm bragging on this Hope Community Church in this city that puts boots on the ground.
[00:51:41] When Bishop said to us a few weeks ago, he sat down over there and said, this house of hope in 2025 alone gave 43% of every penny that came in this house.
[00:51:57] And someone said to me, I don't know if they understood what Bishop said, because they need to consider what would happen if we took 43% out of everything that comes in your house and give it back to God.
[00:52:12] How many in the house do that?
[00:52:13] I didn't think so.
[00:52:16] 43% find another house, big or small, that does that.
[00:52:22] I'm so proud to belong to this house called Hope.
[00:52:26] I'm so proud that we don't just put our money where our mouth is, but we put our boots on the ground and serve our neighbors like Jesus.
[00:52:37] I'm so proud.
[00:52:38] so i know this video is gonna bless you like it on social media comment on it and then share it to show the world this is the church we don't just say we are the solution in the earth by dogged
[00:52:54] we are the solution in the earth you gave so generously in 2025 to nations throughout the world but my goodness my goodness what you've done right here on the home front for our neighbors it's it's mind-boggling so fasten your seat belt here we go for starters you seeded more than
[00:53:34] $7,300 into our young people covering their expenses to experience God at ramp. You partnered with CBN's Operation Blessing all year long in significant ways. First, Hope's young people, our teens, traveled to Operation Blessing's headquarters in Virginia Beach. There, they
[00:54:01] prepared 660 home front food boxes, 1,000 food bags, over 1,250 hygiene kits, and nearly 1,600 disaster relief buckets. That's two truckloads, y'all. Hope's men partnered with Operation Blessing by making many different trips to western North Carolina to help rebuild homes
[00:54:35] for families who were still suffering through the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. They worked tirelessly doing a week's worth of work in single days. Hope's men took with them twenty thousand dollars of donated home building merchandise to help restore these devastated communities.
[00:55:00] Hope's partnership with Operation Blessing took on an even deeper dimension this year.
[00:55:09] The mobile disaster kitchen designed by our own Chef Jeff Bacon was utilized on the premises of Hope.
[00:55:19] We gave it a test run by feeding families in Hope's weekly feeding program.
[00:55:25] But that's not all.
[00:55:26] Operation Blessing's Disaster Relief Team came here to Hope to explore how we can partner together in the future to respond to disasters when they strike.
[00:55:40] Hope's partnership with Operation Blessing multiplied so significantly this year that they asked Hope, our own Pastor Otis, to come and speak at their annual volunteer gala, sharing what HOPE's men did to partner with Appalachian Wrestling in Western North Carolina.
[00:56:02] HOPE made such a difference almost every Saturday of 2025 by coming together and making nearly 20,000 lunches for HOPE Project. That's helping our people eat, helping our community eat, then you took right to their front door nearly 9,000 of those lunches. And if
[00:56:31] that wasn't enough, Hope, you showed up every Saturday to feed many, many more.
[00:56:38] You filled boxes to the brim to feed hurting families, giving away more than 625,000 pounds of food. That's well over 300 tons. Wow. You gave away more than 355,000 pounds of fresh produce alone. That's 178 tons. You gave away over 1 million dollars worth of food.
[00:57:18] putting on the table fresh meals for almost 16,000 families.
[00:57:27] When you add together all the meals you prepared through Hope Project and all the food distribution boxes to families, in 2025 alone, Hope, you fed over 57,000 people.
[00:57:48] Wow!
[00:57:51] When you consider what you gave to nations last year alone, $550,500, and then what you gave to neighbors, more than $228,000, remember, none of it would have taken place without the well over 6,000 volunteer hours.
[00:58:18] boots on the ground helped Hope make this enormous impact in 2025. We're coming in for a landing. Hope in 2025 alone, you gave to nations and neighbors more than seven hundred and eighty eight thousand dollars that's that i can tell you
[00:58:47] hope community that's true god trusts us with much because he can let's let's keep it let's keep
[00:58:59] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[00:58:59] being shall supply supply you his red supply you my god supply you and faithing February next Sunday we will sing that song again we'll be using a track we did from a recording manna mina I was about to say mean up man up I won't do that again it didn't work we get ready
[01:03:42] on those solos on there we ain't been able to practice it and we will and all of us are going to sing it together. I'm aware of the time and the moment you and I are going to receive the body
[01:03:58] and the blood of Jesus. And so I'm going to do my best to be very patient and disciplined in sharing with you what I believe God, I know God has for us now. And I'm going to try to stay pretty much
[01:04:12] to what I've written here. Cancel the last 30 seconds of everything I said. Faith in February is more important than our finite minds can comprehend.
[01:04:32] I'm committed to speaking into you at the place that can easily be triggered by outside voices and views.
[01:04:47] You're going to stand.
[01:04:51] You're going to speak continuously from the set place of the breathing word of God.
[01:04:58] In our conversation about hidden fasts, I need to shift our direction and timeline a bit.
[01:05:12] We're going to travel from Zarephath, where we spent a lot of time in Lebanon, in the word.
[01:05:19] We're going to travel about 50 miles south to the northern shore of the Sea of Galilee in a little port town of Bethsaida.
[01:05:28] which is mentioned in your Bible seven times its name literally means in the Aramaic house of fishing or place of fishing three of Jesus' disciples came from that community Philip and Andrew and Andrew's brother Peter
[01:05:52] you remember that James the brother of Jesus said to us
[01:05:58] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_07]
[01:05:58] Pure religion is taking care of widows and orphans
[01:06:06] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[01:06:06] Which he grabbed hold of from the prophet Old Testament Hebrew Scriptures, Zechariah Here are a couple of other references with that same emphasis and discipline The psalmist said God in his holy dwelling is a father to orphans and a defender of widows
[01:06:26] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_07]
[01:06:26] Another place David said
[01:06:28] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[01:06:28] Yahweh watches over strangers he sustains the fatherless and widows we spend a lot of time talking about the widow of Zarephath and the generational assault against her family
[01:06:45] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_07]
[01:06:45] from the drought and the famine suffered but then how the miraculous hand of God radically transformed her final meal of fear into her first meal of faith.
[01:07:03] I want to talk to you about a story that's so important in the mind of God that he distributed it into all four Gospels in the Christian Scripture.
[01:07:15] Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
[01:07:21] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[01:07:21] And while John spends most of his Gospel talking about Jerusalem and all the region of Judea, In fact, half of John's gospel is focused upon the passion of Jesus at Holy Week.
[01:07:37] Yet he gives us the most accurate, fullest understanding of the miracle that's taking place up in the Galilee.
[01:07:44] Besides the resurrection of Jesus, the only miracle covered in all four gospels is our focus today.
[01:07:55] probably every person in this room already knows where I'm going in this story but I'm not sure how many of us can truly discern
[01:08:04] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_07]
[01:08:04] the real significance of this miracle to the heart of God. God's determined today that you and I are going to begin a journey with this story that is of profound prophetic significance in our lives individually and collectively
[01:08:23] He alone knows truly all that's coming against the world, that's coming against the nation, the state, city, or family.
[01:08:33] But I'm believing what God is revealing to us in this story is so that you and I can face whatever the enemy brings against us.
[01:08:42] And yet we stand upon the solid rock fully assured.
[01:08:46] My God shall supply all your needs.
[01:08:50] All four Gospels contain it, but I'm not sure we understand the gravitas.
[01:09:05] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[01:09:05] It's easy to dismiss it because it's about a little boy.
[01:09:09] It's cute. It's sweet. It's meaningful.
[01:09:13] We don't know how sober it is.
[01:09:15] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_07]
[01:09:15] There's something in this miracle that God is committed to us knowing.
[01:09:22] God seems to have placed an added faith
[01:09:28] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[01:09:28] within this miracle that not only for the sake of the people in it but everybody reading it now there's two specific miracles in the ministry of Jesus that took place in Bethsaida this miracle of feeding 5,000
[01:09:42] and Jesus healing a blind man and they are connected when Jesus healed the blind man he said now go back home don't even go back to the town of Bethsaida. There's no faith there. Later, Jesus turned back to that region
[01:10:00] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_07]
[01:10:00] and said, woe to you. Woe to you. You saw the most extraordinary miracles any human being ever
[01:10:08] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[01:10:08] beheld. You experienced the presence and power of God on the most personal level, and you still
[01:10:15] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_07]
[01:10:15] didn't call upon the name of the Lord to allow his power to change your life.
[01:10:19] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[01:10:19] let's talk a minute about the location you know how when God called Moses to lead his people out of the captivity of Egypt God spoke and called Moses at a space called Mount Horeb later God led Moses
[01:10:39] with two and a half million people back to the same spot but this time it's called Mount Sinai you know how the Romans came in years after Jesus ascended and they renamed Jerusalem and Judea
[01:10:59] and really all of Israel they renamed it where the same thing happened here to the sea of Galilee and I'm saying this for the sake of those who've been to Israel in the past two or three years from this house
[01:11:12] 33 and the 40 plus who were headed there soon Herod Antipas you know the name he's the son
[01:11:25] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_07]
[01:11:25] of Herod the Great. He's the one who left his wife to marry the wife of his half-brother.
[01:11:34] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[01:11:34] His new wife's name was Herodias.
[01:11:38] And John the Baptist publicly humiliated them like Elijah against Ahab and Jezebel.
[01:11:46] This Herod loved a good time, a spectacle, a circus. So Herodias played him by having her own daughter dance seductively that she was able to convince this Herod Antipas to behead John the Baptist.
[01:12:07] That is Herod Antipas. A year later when Jesus was arrested and brought to the governor
[01:12:14] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_07]
[01:12:14] Pilate Rome. Pilate tried to avoid the whole Jewish drama and he sent the Jewish Jesus to Jewish Herod Antipas who again loved a good show and had been hearing and was entirely fascinated by all the news of
[01:12:29] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[01:12:29] Jesus' miracles and was hoping that Jesus would perform for him. Jesus didn't give him a show any more than he performed for the devil turning stones into bread in the wilderness of temptation.
[01:12:43] Herod, Antipas. Well, it was that Herod who decided to rename the Sea of Galilee into the sea of Tiberias.
[01:12:55] So when you hear the sea of Tiberias, it's the same space.
[01:13:00] Renamed it after a city of Tiberias that Herod named such to dedicate it to Roman Caesar.
[01:13:10] It's about 14 miles long, nine miles wide.
[01:13:12] It's been a freshwater lake since ancient times.
[01:13:16] Chapter six.
[01:13:17] Why don't you then, talking to myself, we'll be back with you in just a moment, John chapter 6 it's only about 15 verses or so I want to read it sometime later Yeshua went over
[01:13:42] to the far side of this sea of Galilee sea of Tiberias and a large crowd and to my sound people up there I'm sorry I didn't put that in your notes at all I just decided all of a sudden
[01:13:55] I was going to read it and a large crowd followed him that word followed there is in the form of continuously relentlessly every time jesus turned around there was a mass there was a throng of
[01:14:11] people pursuing him not because they were intrigued with what he was saying but they were entirely captivated by the miracles he was performing these were circus followers thrill seekers because they had seen the miracles he had performed on the sick
[01:14:33] yeshua jesus went up to the hills sat down there near the golan heights you'll see that when you're traveling soon and sat down that is the posture of a rabbi that's getting ready to say something
[01:14:47] when it's time he can be talking he can be walking around but when it's teaching time just like i walked up to this podium you knew he's getting ready to preach or at least try his best and then
[01:14:57] if you saw a rabbi sit down that's the cue everybody take your seats be quiet he's getting ready to speak. Jesus goes up into that region at the Golan, sits down and gets ready to speak
[01:15:08] with his disciples, his Tamadim. Now the Judean festival of Pesach, this comes out of nowhere.
[01:15:15] He's up in the Galilee, but all of a sudden he starts talking about the Passover, the Judean Galilee. It's going to be taking place. Why? Because it's Passover. He's probably speaking to a lot of pilgrims en route to Jerusalem.
[01:15:31] Pesach was coming up, Passover.
[01:15:34] And so when Yeshua looked up and saw the large crowd approaching, he said to Philip, one of his disciples, who was from that specific region, and Jesus is playing him, where will you be able to,
[01:15:47] Jesus sounds like, I don't even know what we're going to do here.
[01:15:50] Where will we be able to buy bread so that these people can eat?
[01:15:54] Now, Yeshua said this to test Philip.
[01:15:57] I'm talking to somebody right now. You're going through a situation you're facing something and When you're praying it's kind of like Where are you Lord? And he's giving you a little spec. God already knows your deliverance
[01:16:11] He already he's already your deliverance has a name on the lips of God I said your blessing has already been assigned but he ain't gonna do it He won't he's wanting you to feel the gravitas of the crisis
[01:16:22] So you'll know that the power and the glory of the miracle
[01:16:25] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_07]
[01:16:25] he's about to get if I don't let you see it and feel it just a little bit on this side you'll be a little quiet and and a little limited and and you'll shut down your prayer I want a fat praise
[01:16:36] I want a big juicy fat praise so I'm gonna let you feel it I'm gonna let you wonder I'm gonna let you ask me a few more times how Lord are you gonna let you ain't got to know how you just got
[01:16:50] to know him. And when you know God, when you know how to call on the name of the Lord, you shout this.
[01:16:59] It's been two weeks. I got a lot of preacher up inside me. He said to Philip, we're going to be
[01:17:09] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[01:17:09] able to buy bread. The fellow in Jesus said this to test him for Yeshua already knew himself what he was going to do. And Philip answered, half a day, half a year's wages. Wouldn't buy enough
[01:17:21] bread for this. Each one would get only a bite. I don't even know how they'd get a bite. If you got 5,000 men plus wives and children. That ain't even enough for all of them to lick at one time.
[01:17:35] One of the Talmudic disciples, Andrew. Okay. Andrew, the brother of Shimon, Simon Peter, said to him, as a young fellow, I want you to notice every minimizing word that can be used.
[01:17:55] Some of you right now, you're going through some situations where the enemy is using every minimizing word to describe you trying to speak first to your own head and heart you're not enough you're not big enough smart enough you didn't go to the right school you don't have the right
[01:18:13] connections you don't have a personality everybody knows you don't fit in he's using all these little things well that's okay because when god does it it's a bigger miracle for me because he had to
[01:18:26] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_07]
[01:18:26] do more but i don't mind i don't mind if god's gotta work a little harder on my story than he's gotta long as i get all god's got for me to have i don't care how he does it don't tell him how to
[01:18:48] be lord i said stop trying to tell jesus how to be lord just tell him it is the lord who i was drowning and you saved me I was starving and you fed me I was sick and you heal me I don't care
[01:19:05] what it takes for you to be Lord just be Lord in my life there's a there's a young fella here
[01:19:17] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[01:19:17] who's got five loaves now that ain't that ain't them loaves you get at the we'll come back to
[01:19:25] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_06]
[01:19:25] of barley bread and two fish how far is that gonna go little is much when god is in it
[01:19:40] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[01:19:40] yes you have said have the people sit down and that's the posture of eating anyway you didn't have tables you would sit back and lean on your herb have them sit down there's a lot of grass
[01:19:57] because it's spring now.
[01:19:59] So they sat down.
[01:20:02] The number of men was about 5,000.
[01:20:03] Yeshua took the loaves and bread and after making a bracha, a blessing.
[01:20:16] Don't rush too quickly at the table when you're thanking God for food.
[01:20:21] He was resurrected and his own disciples didn't even know who he was until he took the bread and they broke it.
[01:20:32] And when they broke it and blessed it, their eyes were open.
[01:20:35] What would happen if lunch this morning, when you get back to the house at some time or another this afternoon, four or five o'clock after I'm preaching, or we all go over to the Maxwell's house and get the leftovers from the roast beef.
[01:20:51] What was to happen if they say, Bishop, would you pray?
[01:20:54] And I take a little bit, and when I break it, what you hadn't been able to see, don't blow through, don't blow through.
[01:21:11] Every time at the table, we say the same thing.
[01:21:13] thank you, Jesus, for our food and for our family. That's why we say the same thing every time until every now and then we got to stop and say, and listen, by the way, you did a really good job on,
[01:21:23] and I thank you for this. And I, you see, we, I've told you before, we didn't, we didn't sit at the table and say, I want some more potatoes. It could be months before I ever saw another
[01:21:33] potato. That ain't what pop allowed. You didn't say I need some more. If I wanted some chicken or I wanted some potatoes or I needed it, whatever it was.
[01:21:43] It always started this way.
[01:21:44] Thank you for some.
[01:21:48] I didn't even know y'all didn't do that until I left and went to school.
[01:21:52] I'm telling you the God's truth.
[01:21:53] When we'd sit at the table, we never asked for something.
[01:21:56] I need some more.
[01:21:58] I need some more butter beans.
[01:21:59] I need some more.
[01:22:00] I need some more potatoes.
[01:22:01] I need some more, whatever it was.
[01:22:02] I didn't say I need some more.
[01:22:04] I can see that.
[01:22:05] But what do you want?
[01:22:06] Thank you for some.
[01:22:08] All right.
[01:22:17] Gave to all who were sitting in likewise with the fish.
[01:22:20] If you got your Bible, you take out your pen, you need to underline some words here.
[01:22:26] Because I'm coming against something right now.
[01:22:28] I'm coming up with something big.
[01:22:30] You'll listen, and I'm going to speak it towards the end of the message even more explicitly.
[01:22:33] But I'm coming against it right now.
[01:22:36] That's a preconceived idea.
[01:22:38] That the gospel of prosperity, the prosperity gospel.
[01:22:43] Look, I ain't trying to tell you there's a Bentley with your name on it.
[01:22:47] I ain't never sat in a Bentley. I don't even know if I've ever seen one. I couldn't care less. I'm not telling you, you got to have a million dollar house. I couldn't care less. We're going to talk
[01:22:56] about it in a moment, but God don't know how to do nothing but prosper his people. What do you think covenant is? So right now I need you to realize that everybody who's coming against you
[01:23:13] in a negative way against their version, they know what prosperity means to them.
[01:23:18] so they think it's wrong it's evil I know what prosperity is we're gonna talk about in just a second right now you need to be able to say to say to yourself Lord whatever you however you look at prosperity I want it any of you
[01:23:39] watch the video a moment ago that didn't come with just prayer that didn't come with just fasting that didn't come just cause you had good vibes don't you love these things on social media I'm going through cuz somebody just send me some
[01:23:52] good vibes. What? It took a lot of George Washingtons for $788,000. Somebody got to pay the bills. Listen, somebody's got to be blessed to be a blessing. Well, so I want you to underline Jesus took the loaves and making the brocade, gave it to all of them who were sitting there
[01:24:30] Likewise with the, as much as they wanted.
[01:24:34] Look, if you're going to get a miracle, get a big one.
[01:24:38] I mean, why are you just saying, well, I don't want to take any more.
[01:24:40] I don't want to get anybody else's.
[01:24:42] At the end of this story, we got 12 baskets of leftovers.
[01:24:48] Underline that part that says, as they want, as much as they wanted.
[01:24:53] Don't be cute.
[01:24:54] Be blessed.
[01:24:57] This ain't the time for fake humility.
[01:25:00] It's the time for real thank you.
[01:25:02] A real blessing.
[01:25:02] A real hallelujah.
[01:25:03] after they had eaten their full huh they're full he told his disciples as tamadim gather the leftover pieces so that nothing gets wasted know what to do with the blessing the reason we have to ask god for the same thing over and over is because we didn't know how to handle it the last
[01:25:27] time he gave it to us christians can be some of the most foolish people when it comes to finances but not you I declare it right now if you don't know nothing else in life if you if you don't
[01:25:40] know how to count from two to two equal four I don't give a flying fig right now I declare a wisdom upon you to make money to save money to spend it wisely I declare you are a you are a
[01:25:56] a blessed, miracle-ized mogul.
[01:26:04] You don't just think about your job.
[01:26:06] You think about your enterprise.
[01:26:14] And you need to know, that don't mean everybody's getting what I'm saying right now, but I totally believe this.
[01:26:19] And I believe there's some folk in here right now.
[01:26:21] Your lives are going to begin to be changed.
[01:26:23] You're going to be thinking about new businesses, new ideas, new pursuits, new opportunities.
[01:26:36] Make them, get so blessed that they got to print more money.
[01:26:46] Look, ain't nobody say you got to keep it here or put it up here.
[01:26:48] After they're full, gather all the leftovers.
[01:26:53] Nothing gets wasted.
[01:26:55] They gathered them and filled, filled the 12 baskets with the pieces from the five barley loaves left there.
[01:27:03] When the people saw the miracle, all of a sudden they got a revelation.
[01:27:07] People got an epiphany when there was a miracle.
[01:27:09] When the people saw the miracle he had performed, they said, this is the prophet, the Messiah, Messiah who is supposed to come to the world Jesus knew that they were at the point of coming
[01:27:19] and seizing him in order to make him king so he went back to the hills again this time he went by himself this is something you need to know don't ever take compliments and criticisms
[01:27:29] either one too seriously both are usually exaggerations you're never as bad as they say you are you're never as good as they say you are you are absolutely the worst no I'm not there's nobody better than you yes there is i thank you but that that's not it okay now we're
[01:27:49] going to move through these notes really fast because i wanted to read that chapter six of john begins by saying after these things in other words about six months after jesus preached in chapter five preached and ministered and contended with religious spirits he had to he had to really deal
[01:28:04] with some really some religious spirits in chapter five we get to the place and point where jesus is relentlessly pursued by a circus mob crowd not followers desperate for his teaching but thrill seekers anxious for the next miracle john says that within the crowd of thousands were people
[01:28:23] literally his words with every kind of disease jesus had a prophetic pattern in engaging the people and we find it here i declare it's active in this place right now watch this he would preach
[01:28:38] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_07]
[01:28:38] the message and then manifest it with miracles he would say something and then show something
[01:28:46] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[01:28:46] he would where's the praise in this house you don't need nothing you got everything
[01:28:57] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_07]
[01:28:57] all your bills are paid all the time all your family getting along good you ain't ever about to lose your mind there ain't no crazy around you okay then okay but for the rest of us i got to
[01:29:11] stop every now and then and say right in the middle of the message you are the lord of us i'm gonna say that part again he would preach it wow what a message and then manifest it he would say something
[01:29:28] and then show something he would declare it and then demonstrate it something for them to hear something for them to see it was starting to get late in the day they were far removed from any
[01:29:47] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[01:29:47] commerce where they could find enough food for the throngs. But it didn't surprise Jesus at all because John notes that Jesus already had a plan. He already knew what he expected to do that day
[01:30:03] with those people. He just first wanted his disciples to see and discern and realize the depth of the crisis. They needed to be able to measure the miracle. See, I need to be able to
[01:30:19] say I once was lost in sin so I can say but Jesus I didn't get lost in mistakes I didn't lose my way in opinions I didn't just have a bad thought I was
[01:30:32] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_07]
[01:30:32] lost in sin but Jesus took me in and then a little light from heaven filled my soul he bathed my heart in love and he wrote my name I know what my miracle sounds like. I know where I was lost. I could not find my way. I could not save myself.
[01:30:58] If you minimize your need, then you minimize the miracle.
[01:31:10] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[01:31:10] And we ain't got no little miracles in this house. We're going for big. We're going for great.
[01:31:18] God don't sweat. He don't perspire. But why don't we live in such a way that he has to keep his eye on us. And he's listening for our praise. Somebody else said, I'm just Lord, if you'll help me. No, no. God, I need you to just
[01:31:35] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_07]
[01:31:35] show yourself mighty in this. I've come to remind you not because you forgot your greatness. I'm just anxious and desperate for the world to know how mighty you are.
[01:31:51] They needed to be able to measure the miracle
[01:31:54] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[01:31:54] he intended for every one of them to chronicle that moment in their gospel.
[01:31:58] Then seemingly out of nowhere, John starts writing in verse 4 about the Passover.
[01:32:08] Jesus was, Jesus remains the Jewish.
[01:32:12] He was living in the land of Israel, observing all the feasts.
[01:32:17] Passover occurs 29 times in the Christian scriptures, not the Old Testament, you know there.
[01:32:23] Ten of them were in the Gospel of John.
[01:32:26] This was his, Jesus' third Passover during his ministry.
[01:32:30] The next Passover he would have would be during Holy Week in the time of his crucifixion.
[01:32:37] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_07]
[01:32:37] Jesus looked at Philip specifically and asked, said to him,
[01:32:44] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[01:32:44] We got a situation, son.
[01:32:47] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_07]
[01:32:47] There's thousands of people here, and we ain't got no food to feed them.
[01:32:53] And if we just send them away right now, it's a long way back to the living.
[01:32:59] So they could get weak and lightheaded, might start passing out and fainting along the way.
[01:33:07] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[01:33:07] Now, we've already noted that Jesus wasn't blindsided.
[01:33:12] Their crisis never became his crisis.
[01:33:19] Philip was from that town, just like Simon Peter and his brother Andrew.
[01:33:25] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_07]
[01:33:25] Philip responds to Jesus, Jesus, I'm from this place.
[01:33:31] I know this area.
[01:33:33] We got a problem on our hands.
[01:33:36] Even if we had the money, there ain't nowhere around here to buy enough food to feed this crowd of people.
[01:33:48] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[01:33:48] But it was about that time that another disciple from the same area approached Jesus with another introduction.
[01:33:55] You see, Andrew, the brother of Simon, Andrew was the one who introduced Jesus to his brother Simon Peter.
[01:34:02] in chapter 1 verse 41 and now andrew introduces jesus to a little boy and in the greek the word here is so undeniably diminishing he's not 12 13 at a bar mitzvah in age he's probably about eight
[01:34:23] or nine years of age little lad and there were probably other little boys in the crowd but there's something unique about this little boy.
[01:34:34] This boy was about to play one of the most pivotal roles in the life and ministry of Jesus of anyone.
[01:34:40] And yet, we don't even know his name.
[01:34:44] We don't ever find out his name.
[01:34:46] Later on, Jesus starts saying, have you forgotten what I did when I took fire?
[01:34:51] He never mentions a boy.
[01:34:54] We don't know how old he was.
[01:34:57] We don't know if his parents are alive or if he's an orphan.
[01:35:01] You'll remember, like the widow of Zarephath, this boy is entirely anonymous. There's absolutely nothing about the boy that says this, this is who God's going to use to miracleize him. Be honest. There ain't nothing about me.
[01:35:17] Ain't nothing probably about you either that, that would just cause people to say, I'm telling you I'm in the middle of a miracle. What do you mean you're in the middle of a miracle? Cause just
[01:35:25] look, you see that guy over there? I can just tell it's all over him. Most of us ain't got that look.
[01:35:30] we don't carry that aura about us this boy didn't carry it now i don't believe for a moment this boy was the only person around a present with 5 000 men plus wives and children i don't believe he
[01:35:45] was the only one who had a bag lunch somewhere in the crowd there's a mama somewhere there's a wife that knows if i don't make this lunch he'll forget his hat if i don't i'm convinced that jesus
[01:35:59] specifically wanted that boy to be used of the Lord.
[01:36:05] Understand, Jesus didn't really need the boy's lunch.
[01:36:12] What's he wanting us to notice in all four gospels?
[01:36:15] And it gets dismissed.
[01:36:17] I think there's something, I think there's a power.
[01:36:19] I think there's a resident power within this story that very few people ever truly, but in this faith in February, and I declare over the rest of your life, there's something about this story that's going to be unleashed in your living
[01:36:34] that you're going to be able to trace back to the moment you got the fullest revelation about a boy, fish, bread, miracle.
[01:36:43] Understand, Jesus didn't need that boy's lunch.
[01:36:47] They're at the water where he could have caused the fish to fly out the lake.
[01:36:52] Well, that's a little bit, excuse me.
[01:36:54] He caused the fish later to have money in his mouth so they could pay taxes.
[01:37:01] If he can talk to the fish and tell them to pay your tax bill,
[01:37:04] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_07]
[01:37:04] he couldn't turn it he could have turned the stones in the bread i don't need that boys
[01:37:16] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[01:37:16] he could have turned us if he can turn water into wine and the first thing the devil hit him with is why don't you turn these stones into because he knew he could but what's unique is
[01:37:28] that at some point in the conversation the boy gave some indication later ever indication that he was willing to surrender nothing greater than all he didn't say i'll give you one piece of fish and two of these pieces of bread
[01:37:43] and God will be pleased with that.
[01:37:46] He didn't want all of it.
[01:37:50] What if the next great wave?
[01:37:58] Can you color that part right there?
[01:38:02] What if the next great?
[01:38:05] I'm sorry, you don't have to color that.
[01:38:07] Can you put it up here on there?
[01:38:09] Thank you.
[01:38:10] I colored it on my thing so I can.
[01:38:14] Because I need the mamas and the daddies, the grandparents to see this part.
[01:38:20] Y'all read that back to me, please.
[01:38:21] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_07]
[01:38:21] Use a little, radically alter a situation for thousands and thousands.
[01:38:57] Why can't he use your little boy, your little girl?
[01:39:02] Why can't somebody's butt, whose diaper is being changed right now, have an anointing upon them so profound that it blows through this place and sets the captives free?
[01:39:16] Why not your baby?
[01:39:18] Why not your child?
[01:39:20] Why not your son or daughter, grandbaby?
[01:39:23] Egg lunch contained five loaves of bread.
[01:39:32] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[01:39:32] These are not the kind of loaves that you and I think of from the grocery store.
[01:39:41] It's more like a pita, a pancake.
[01:39:46] And they're made of barley, which was the bread of the poor.
[01:39:51] It didn't taste as good as wheat bread.
[01:39:54] Didn't cost as much.
[01:39:55] Watch this.
[01:39:57] And it was actually more fit for the animals to eat.
[01:40:00] in the Talmud which is an encyclopedia a commentary Jewish commentary there's a story where a man said there's a fine crop of barley and another man replied tell it to the horses and donkeys in fact in your Bible the last book
[01:40:18] the book of the revelation of the Messiah Jesus John prophesies of a coming famine the black horse and the black horse chapter 6 verse 6 says two pounds of wheat for a day's wages six pounds
[01:40:32] of barley for the same price. The wheat was three times more expensive, more valuable than the barley. And the fish was probably small, salted sardines. I was just thinking it was probably like a mahi-mahi kind of thing. I bought me some sardines the other day. My daddy used to eat
[01:41:01] them sardines. My wife, lose her mind, she walk in the house, she can smell them. Don't be making faces at me i got my sardines and i'm gonna put all kinds of stuff on them and i put right listen
[01:41:14] because you can't believe i don't you didn't answer but it's as healthy as about most healthy one of the most healthy things you can eat for your brain for every part of time yeah that's
[01:41:24] why you walking around running into walls because you wouldn't eat no sardines i'm gonna take your hand and lead you somewhere i might not smell good but i know what day it is come on 39 times
[01:41:48] in your bible you find the word eucharist or a form of it three of the times in john that's why we call this we call it eucharist a lot of places one of them nothing wrong with it call it communion
[01:42:00] that's the activity that's the relational event you had communion but eucharist simply means praise so the reason we use eucharist is because when we get together and we have communion we got to praise him. So it says here that when Jesus took it and broke it and Eucharist did it and praised
[01:42:20] God for it, five loaves and fishes could barely feed one boy. But at the end of the story, there was 12 baskets too much. I don't know who said amen, but I pray right now, a double portion all
[01:42:32] over you right now. I'm not playing. I'm not playing. You are blessed and your family shall be saved. You are blessed and your family shall be saved. You are blessed and your family shall be saved. There was too much blessing for maybe 25,000 people. All you had was two fish, five
[01:43:08] peters, and now somebody got some baskets. The story is similar to what you find in 2 Kings with the Elijah. He blessed a widow and kept pouring oil into jars. There was never a shortage of oil, only jars. What if there had been 13 baskets? What if there had been 20 baskets that
[01:43:30] day? What if somebody said, I own a basket store. I'm bringing 436 baskets to this moment. I believe that. You remember the story where after Peter's boat was filled with more fish about to sink
[01:43:45] than one fisherman could. And he said, I can't, I've been trying to hang, can't been able to catch another. I've been trying to catch. Jesus said, put your, put your, ain't no fish. Ain't enough fish put your net on the other side but lord i done tried how many failures does it take
[01:44:06] for you to walk in faith if you knew what you was doing you'd be counting fish you knew i stayed away from y'all too long these past couple of weeks they've been singing let it snow let it
[01:44:26] snow let we're saying let them go let them go let them go watch this watch this there was too much blessing for 20 but there was never a shortage of oil only job you remember peter and then he said
[01:44:38] it said it required others to come. I said, I need some fish. I can't get fish. And I've been here all night. We've been doing it wrong. You know, you hear people say, I've been in the church
[01:44:51] 40 years and I praise God for every one of them. But the children of Israel was in the wilderness 40 years. I don't mean you're right. You can walk in circles for 40 years. I don't mean you
[01:45:00] put your net on the other side, but what's the difference? I said, do it. And when he, some of y'all right now you just need the father to come up and say cause I said so
[01:45:14] do you believe in the word of the Lord or not cause I said so put the net over there and all of a sudden it starts chugging and it's I mean you start watch that I love them I preach so good
[01:45:33] I can't hardly this there hadn't there hadn't been enough fish then there weren't enough boats is that all right is that all right do you mind being so blessed hospice that you got to call
[01:45:53] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_07]
[01:45:53] your cousin to come get some blessing out your house because you can't even walk in there no more leon i need you to come over here we can't even walk in this place cause cause who's the
[01:46:11] amazon cause amazon and all them up they keep bringing blessings and blessings and blessings
[01:46:21] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[01:46:21] Some of y'all need a new God.
[01:46:25] In the beginning, my God created.
[01:46:27] What's your God doing?
[01:46:32] The boat starts sinking.
[01:46:37] Now look, every one of us have been in sinking ships before.
[01:46:41] But it wasn't because we was blessed.
[01:46:43] It's because we won't.
[01:46:46] What if all of us, you have to go, hey, what's your name?
[01:46:49] I don't even know you.
[01:46:50] But can you come get some of these fish or my boat's going under?
[01:46:58] And then the tabernacle, watch this.
[01:47:00] and for a moment the people changed all of a sudden they said you know what i think i think you must be mashiach i think you must be the messiah really but jesus left them and hid
[01:47:13] himself from their fickle adoration and this is the main thing he went away for two reasons i remember these words coming out of my mouth almost 40 years ago we was preaching do you remember
[01:47:25] that's crazy it was when i knew god was just like boom the anointing was starting to just start kicking on us. And I was standing right there. There's two reasons why Jesus went hid. One, it wasn't time for him to be killed
[01:47:38] and it wasn't time for him to be king. There was folk that watched it and said
[01:47:44] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_07]
[01:47:44] this is amazing. Who preaches like this?
[01:47:48] Who miracleizes like this? He must be the Messiah.
[01:47:52] He must be the king. Let's install him. Let's applaud him.
[01:47:56] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[01:47:56] And there's others that say I don't like the way this guy is doing. We need to kill him.
[01:47:59] And it wasn't time for either one. I don't know who packed the boys lunch. I'm through now. Give me five minutes. I don't know who packed the boys lunch. Maybe a mother, maybe a father,
[01:48:14] or maybe he just grew up in that fisherman's village. That could be rough from where Simon Peter came from, but this is the reality. There won't nobody there with him now. He may have parents at home, but right now he's an orphan surrounded by five, 10, 25,000 people. There
[01:48:35] wasn't a father to guide him what to do at that moment there wasn't a mother to speak faith and you think about you just before you i just watched wonderful people walking up here placing offerings
[01:48:48] you know what the enemy says to you just before you let it go now you remember the battle you face at that moment you're all by yourself if you give this man two sardines and five peters
[01:49:03] what you're going to eat how you're going to pay the bills set the cars due tomorrow the bills tomorrow how how how how pleased can God be if your electricity turn off see there's nobody here
[01:49:21] to take care of you now what's going to happen to you what about tomorrow don't you love it five years ago six years ago everybody was saying you got to use wisdom as if wisdom was somehow
[01:49:35] divorced from the Word of God we was walking in faith walking in the Word of the Lord and you thought we had no wisdom because you didn't have no word I got this in blue I'm gonna read every bit of it you're gonna you're gonna read
[01:50:00] some of it with me probably what do you do when you ain't got enough money I don't know if it's boy yeah you know y'all got any boys in your house boys can't eat when we got too much leftovers in our refrigerator we call Paul say
[01:50:19] paul why don't you come over to the house and he'll stay about 35 45 minutes and we got refrigerator cleared out number two what do you do when money can't help you you got a raise but
[01:50:35] it still ain't big enough or it's a diagnosis or there's a drama going on in your teenager and if you had a million dollars it wouldn't change the thing number three can you imagine being the blessing that god uses to turn everything around in your family your circle
[01:50:51] I'm asking you can you imagine yourself becoming that one God uses to fix not because you're smarter but you're surrendered that's it baby listen that's all he ever wanted from you anyway all you've got to offer is all he ever wanted and that's all surrender then the spaces
[01:51:22] is small between little and loss and the voice to protect yourself is great can you move from hiding food to a hidden fast see the bible don't ever say this boy fasted but many of the biggest
[01:51:40] things that ever happened in the word of god is a fast that came in under radar it's when i got enough to eat but i'm willing to take what i've got my next meal and put it in somebody else's
[01:51:54] hand I'm not gonna eat it now later on we know that boy ate he ate like everybody else but at that moment it's a hidden fast that is so important God wanted it in Matthew Mark Luke instead of
[01:52:09] hiding food can you move in a hidden fast what if nobody knows your name what if you remain entirely anonymous in the anointing can you handle not being the center of attention look I gave him
[01:52:32] my whole lunch he didn't even say thank you you like that yeah you know where it came from don't you oh i mean i know jesus did you know where he got that though i gave mine to jesus so he could
[01:52:49] give this to you you're welcome i'm going to a different preacher i'm going to a different place they didn't even tell anybody what i you know why what we did i said we have a if you want to help
[01:53:12] folk. Some folk don't want to help folk unless other folk can know they helped you. That's
[01:53:20] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_06]
[01:53:20] because you're the one that needs the help, not them. I'm sorry if I offended you. That's
[01:53:31] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_08]
[01:53:31] why we said put on your check, not somebody's name, not your name, just put neighbors. We ain't got no names on the seats. We ain't got no windows to put your name on. This window
[01:53:55] was bought by folk who quit 13 years ago.
[01:54:03] What does Jesus have to say or do for you to believe that he is the anointed one, your Messiah?
[01:54:16] How big is your God?
[01:54:21] How great is the gospel?
[01:54:24] There's a lot of folk criticizing the prosperity gospel.
[01:54:28] I'm not telling you there's a Bentley with your name on it, but to a sick man, healing is prosperity.
[01:54:34] to an addict deliverance is prosperity see the folk that's telling you they don't want the prosperity they don't believe in healing either but if they can get a bunch of bad mouthers against your blessing you'll be so hard used to be so hard up to fit in that you don't accept what
[01:54:59] God has for you because you don't want to lose folk you're about three funerals away from living the multiplied blessed life in your life I said when you get rid of three people in your life
[01:55:10] that ain't peter james and john to a hungry man bread is prosperity to a man who can't sleep or eat or live peace is prosperity john 3 16 is the greatest prosperity god so loved the
[01:55:25] wretched world that he gave his his his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have you don't get no more prosperous than that everlasting life John 10 10 Jesus is the source when he said the thief comes only to
[01:55:45] kill and destroy if you can talk about that why you get all weird and tighten your cheeks when it comes to but I have come that you might have life and that you might have it never let somebody
[01:56:00] with less tell you how to have more don't let them measure your God his word or your miracle thank you gentlemen the body and blood of Jesus keeps me well keeps my family and I'm gonna be annoyed I'm gonna be feeding the body and blood and you're
[01:56:45] gonna see some folks standing over here on both sides of us when you need someone to agree with you standing in unity and to agree you you don't have to carry it by yourself agreement multiplies the effect of God in your
