❓ What do these grades mean?
We do not issue this rating to attack the speaker, but to protect the listener. This church's overall teaching trend consistently deviates from sound doctrine. As per Romans 16:17, we identify these patterns so believers can guard their hearts.
🧐 Overview
Sermon Summary: This Christmas sermon uses the powerful metaphor of Jesus 'crashing in' to our lives. It explores how the incarnation serves as God's answer to our deepest emotional needs like loneliness, anxiety, and fear. While encouraging and accessible, the message focuses heavily on the therapeutic benefits of faith, potentially overlooking the deeper theological implications of Christ's arrival.
Big Idea: because Jesus came in I don't have to show out... because Jesus crashed in I do not have to crash out [00:12:00 ▶️ 📄]
Pastoral Analysis: The sermon is a topical message structured around a series of dichotomies where Christ's incarnation interrupts a negative human emotion (e.g., anxiety) and introduces a divine virtue (e.g., peace). While the intent is to make the gospel relevant, the execution results in a therapeutic and man-centered framework. The soteriology is functionally synergistic, relying on the language of human decision ('letting Jesus in') as the decisive act of salvation. This approach, combined with a frequent reliance on subjective authority ('I came to tell you...'), weakens the overall theological foundation, presenting a gospel that is more about emotional management than divine reconciliation for the glory of God.
Biblical Parallel(Archetype): Laodicea — The sermon presents a consumeristic gospel focused on therapeutic benefits (overcoming anxiety, shame, etc.), framing Christ as a tool for a better, more comfortable life rather than the Lord who demands submission to His holiness.
🧭 Biblical Alignment Dashboard
Overall Verdict: Theologically Weak
| Category | Status | Reasoning |
|---|---|---|
| Soteriology | ⚠️ WEAK | The sermon presents a synergistic view of salvation, emphasizing human 'choice' and 'decision' as the decisive factor ('letting Jesus in'). While quoting orthodox verses on grace (Eph 2:8), the functional mechanism taught is man-centered, obscuring God's sovereign, monergistic work in regeneration. |
| Bibliology | ✅ PASS | The sermon affirms the authority of Scripture and uses it as the basis for its claims. There is no challenge to the inspiration or inerrancy of the text. |
| Hermeneutic | ⚠️ WEAK | The hermeneutic is primarily therapeutic and anthropocentric. Scripture is used topically to address felt needs (loneliness, fear, anxiety), making the primary goal of the text to solve human problems rather than to reveal the glory of God. This is a man-centered, rather than God-centered, approach to interpretation. |
| Theology Proper | ✅ PASS | The sermon affirms orthodox teachings about God's character, such as His love and presence (Emmanuel), and presents Jesus as divine. |
| Sacramentology | ⚪ N/A | Neither Communion nor Baptism were observed or discussed in the provided transcript. |
📖 How they Handle Scripture & Jesus
Primary Text: Matthew 1:18-23 (Topical (Safe))
Scripture Saturation: Verses Read: 6 | Referenced: 9 | Alluded: 1
Passages Read Aloud:
Key References: Matthew 1:23, John 4:7, Isaiah 9:6, Psalm 16:11, Isaiah 41:10, 2 Timothy 1:7, Ephesians 2:8, John 8:12, Matthew 5:14
Christological Connection: Redemptive Trajectory: Christ's incarnation is presented as God's 'crashing in' to humanity, interrupting sin and various negative human conditions (loneliness, anxiety, anger, fear, shame, darkness) and introducing redemptive realities (love, peace, joy, faith, grace, light). This connection is then applied to the believer's personal experience and choices.

✅ Commendations
Pastoral Heart | Demonstration of Practical Compassion
The tangible act of providing a home, furnishings, and Christmas for the family who lost everything in a fire (00:32:50 ▶️ 📄) is a powerful and commendable demonstration of the church living out its faith. It puts hands and feet to the sermon's message of bringing peace into chaos.
Rhetorical Skill | Effective Central Metaphor
The core metaphor of Jesus 'crashing in' to interrupt our plans and introduce something better is a memorable and sticky way to frame the incarnation for a modern audience. It effectively communicates the unexpected and disruptive nature of God's grace.
Gospel Presentation | Clear Articulation of Grace
At 00:43:50 ▶️ 📄, the speaker correctly quotes and explains Ephesians 2:8, making it clear that salvation is a gift of God received by grace through faith, not by works. This is a vital truth that was communicated plainly.
⚠️ Theological Concerns
🟠 Therapeutic & Anthropocentric Gospel
Root Cause: Therapeutic Deism / Anthropocentric Teleology. (Reason: This approach reduces God to a cosmic therapist or a tool for temporal fulfillment, subordinating His glory to human ambition and comfort.)
"because Jesus came in I don't have to show out... because Jesus crashed in I do not have to crash out" [00:12:00 ▶️ 📄]
Correction: The chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. The Gospel is primarily about God reconciling the world to Himself in Christ (2 Cor 5:19) for His own glory (Eph. 1:11-12), not primarily for our emotional management. Our joy and peace are found *in* His glory, not as a separate, primary benefit.
📝 Other Corrections & Notes
- there were three men traveling who had heard a word from God that the Messiah was to be born [00:47:34 ▶️ 📄] → Correction: The biblical account in Matthew 2 does not specify the number of wise men. The tradition of 'three' is an inference from the three types of gifts presented (gold, frankincense, and myrrh). (Matthew 2:1-11)

[00:00:00] Merry Christmas and welcome to Christmas at Transformation Church today is gonna be phenomenal because your faith is about to be encouraged and inspired and more than anything we are focusing on the real reason for the season as we get into today's message get ready cuz this message is gonna change your life but before we do I wanted to hear from four little drummer boys who brought their gift to Jesus I think you're gonna like this turn it up We need to take it to church. I meant take it to church, church.
[00:02:40] Those guys look familiar, but we'll talk about that later. Today, I cannot wait for you to hear this word, but you got to know what's happening because the way you end a year is the way that you start a year. And so I want you to end this year strong. How are you going to end this year strong? Next week at TC, we will have no in-person services, but if you're watching this, your service is going to be the same. It is TC at home. And I'm telling you, we have prepared something that I should tell y'all. Let me just tell y'all. Next week for service, y'all, we are opening the TC vault and we are releasing the fire files. What are the fire files, Pastor Mike? Every message from version four faith in the fire conference, we are playing them on a string back to back to back to back. You can gather your family. And if you weren't able to make it to conference or you didn't get to see what happened, we're putting it all on one stream. You're going to be able to binge it like Netflix. It's going to be a faith-a-thon. I don't even know where that word came from, but I like it. It's a faith-a-thon, like a marathon, a faith-a-thon. And you are going to be a part of it. We got music part of it in every message. And I'm telling you, it's going to make sense of the end of your year. God is going to give you faith for any fire that you have faced, you are facing, and you will face. So join us at TC at Home next Sunday. And then that following Sunday, as we come into the new year, I'm asking you to start your year off in the house of God. On that Sunday, we're having Reset Sunday. We're interrupting all the cycles and we're resetting. And I want you to join us for that because it's leading us into one of our favorite parts of the year, 21 days of prayer and fasting. As we walk into this next year, we're pushing away our plate, focusing in on God, and we are consecrating so that we can have vision, clarity, and wisdom as we move into 2026. So join us for it all. Today's message is the conclusion of our Triggered series. 14 weeks we've been talking about how not to crash out, and one of the easiest ways and easiest places you can crash out is at Christmas. But this Christmas, you don't have to crash out because Jesus crashed in this message is called the night Christ crashed in my daughter um she asked me she said would you just read the Christmas story dad and I was like what you mean you just want me to get up there and read she's like like read it but then remix it how you be remixing it and I said for real this was Bella and Ava last night in the bed they was like just read it and then be read just do we can remix it and I said so I'm gonna do that so today I want us to go to Matthew chapter 1 verse 18 and I want us to read the story of how we got the greatest gift in history it says in Matthew chapter 1 verse 18 this is how Jesus the Messiah was born his mother Mary was engaged to be married to Joseph but before the marriage took place while she was still a virgin she became pregnant through the power of the Holy Spirit whoa questions after question after question Joseph to whom she was engaged was a righteous man and so he didn't want to disgrace her publicly so he decided to break the engagement quietly as he considered this the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream Joseph son of David the angel said do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife for the child within her was conceived by the holy spirit and she will have a son and you joseph are to name him say his name jesus for he will save his people from their sins all of this occurred to fulfill the lord's message through the prophet look the virgin will conceive a child she will give birth to a son and they will call him Emmanuel, which means, help me, God is with us. When Joseph woke up, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded and took Mary as his wife, but he did not have any sexual relations with her until her son was born. And Joseph named him, say his name, Jesus. For the last 14 weeks, we've been in a series called triggered and we've been talking about the ability to not crash out now some people are in this room and they don't understand what I mean when I say crash out but maybe you have a little inference like this is the season Christmas season specifically where a lot of people are busy a lot of people are short with people a lot of people have attitudes a lot of people have priorities that aren't other people's priorities which make you frustrated that you not considering me there's a lot of opportunities at Christmas in the workplace at school to crash out has anybody can we be hot humble open and transparent has anybody in the last 30 days had a crash out hands all over the room okay with your kids with your husband with yourself something I don't need nobody else to crash out you just need you and yourself and you will have made up a whole story in your head and and gone round and round in circles and and what I'm finding in the world that we live in this world is full of chaos and if we don't focus on something that is stable and consistent we will be tossed to and fro and begin to actually feed into our lower nature that it causes us to crash out and it's hard watch this to care for somebody that you're crashing out on it's hard to have compassion for somebody that you can't even see past your own situation so what we have decided in this series is that in 2025 the church needs to know how to get their emotions in check because our response cannot be the same as people who don't know Jesus because that's the only difference so when that happens to them and the same thing happens to us how do we respond most of us could not tell the difference they cuss you out church people cuss you out too you laughing but you the one and this this right here is the very reason why God's saying that maybe there's something underneath that needs to be dealt with and this is how I put it in a point everybody listen to me unaddressed triggers usually lead to a crash out if you won't even admit that it's something that's going on in you it's gonna lead to a crash out pass them like what does this have to do with Jesus I'm getting there I need you to understand that his birth and Mary and Joseph and they life that they had perfectly set up was about to get crashed into because Jesus was coming on the scene it was the perfect opportunity for them to crash out now I don't know about you I don't know you ever watch that show bridezilla did y'all ever see that on HGTV and how people would be planning for a wedding and they would turn into a different person because the flowers weren't ivory this is white not ivory and there was I want the cake to be a certain okay I used to watch that show and I used to think like why do these people trip so hard on this moment it's because they had a plan that they were going to go with and when their plan got messed up it triggered something on the inside of them that made them lash out my question to you is what do you do when your plan gets messed up when the thing that you've been preparing for saving for what you've been telling everybody that's gonna happen what happens when that plan gets interrupted many of us have the response that I don't even care how this feels to me no more I'm gonna do everything that I feel and everything that I think but Joseph and Mary show us a different way because at this moment they haven't crashed out when Jesus was about to crash in now listen to me this is a story a testimony to me that we do not have to crash out when life hits us because Jesus crashes into humanity this is what I want everybody to know on this Christmas Day that because Jesus came in I don't have to show out golly I tried to make it real simple for you because Jesus came into my life I don't got to defend myself when they talk about me because Jesus came in my life when they when they did something that is unforgivable I can still have the grace and the power to forgive because Jesus crashed in I do not have to crash out and some of us cheapen the work of what jesus did because we still want to express in a way that goes against what he did for us so today i'm asking everybody to self-evaluate and see if what jesus did could be more impactful to your life in an everyday sense so you don't have to go and have the same response when you go eat dinner with your family and they ask you, why are you so big? Oh, y'all know our families are ruthless.
[00:14:17] Oh, okay. Does anybody have some ruthless family members in here? Okay. And if your hand is not up, you're the one. You're the ruthless family member. We talk about you. You're mean. Everybody say, I don't have to crash out. Y'all got to say it with some faith. I don't have to crash out because Jesus crashed in one more time I don't have to crash out because Jesus crashed in so if you crash out it's a choice I need everybody to hear me if you act a fool if you if you don't represent your your your your salvation if you don't actually receive what God has given you it is a choice and I just want you to see that that Mary and Joseph had a choice to respond differently but because they responded in the way that they did we get to see a picture of what happens when Jesus crashes in let me ask the question has anybody ever crashed into something come on anybody ever crashed into something before see Charles said Abby be crashing all the time then why you say that to you Abby golly anybody ever crashed into a car now now this is the funny thing you know when people be like I got in an accident nobody really leads with who actual fault it was has anybody ever crashed into somebody come on let's be honest crashed in okay cool I saw somebody the other day that they they were walking outside from inside the outside and they had a big glass and the glass was really clear and and they was walking with with with intention and when they hit that back and the one thing I realized when they hit that glass is obviously they didn't know it was there but anytime something or someone crashes into something it's two things write this down it's an introduction and an interruption when that person crashed into the wall hello it's a glass wall here they were introduced to something and also the way they were walking was interrupted when Jesus crashes in he is doing both interrupting something and introducing something okay have you ever worked in a company and your boss never comes to the office and then just at the just most random time the boss the head person comes in and they in they crash into your office if they do that let me help you it's about to be an interruption and an introduction like I'm trying to get you to understand that crashing into something is is when God is trying to show you something brand new and this is what I want to tell you as we end this year in power when you crash into something or you go through a moment where something comes to stop you it wasn't a part of the plan this is the picture of Christmas Jesus coming from God to humanity to save them was not on Mary and Joseph's plan they weren't born like we know what we we created to do like we bout to we bout to no no no no they were about to live their own life do their own thing and God said let me find two people that I can interrupt and introduce something through and Jesus everybody say crashed in so let me tell you what the story of Christmas is the story of Christmas is God interrupting sin and introducing grace you want to know what Christmas is it is Jesus crashing in and interrupting sin interrupting the cycles I was in interrupting the pain that I was causing other people interrupting self-sabotage that would come by watching pornography he was interrupting the cycles in my life and he interrupted and he introduced me to not what religion does works and rules he introduced me to grace and today on Christmas I want you to know that what God gives us a gift we don't deserve but he gives it freely so that you can understand that it was all him the whole time and because Jesus crashed in I can now live in freedom because Jesus crashed into my life I can now have hope because Jesus crashed into my life I can have a new day and I don't know who's watching this but I came to tell you let Jesus crash into you right now let him crash into the dysfunction walking in let him crash into the confusion you have in your head and your heart let him crash into that situation that seems so disoriented that all you want to do is sleep let him crash in because if he comes in other things have to change this is the story of christmas jesus interrupting sin and introducing grace this year um this past week i got to see my daughter Ava um she played the melanated Mary in her Christmas uh production and she's in and then my other daughter Bella three years ago she was Mary in the production as well and this means a few things I mean number one my daughter is up for a golden globe or a what would it be Oscar the way she stared at that little chocolate baby for four minutes without breaking contact Ava I'm so proud of you and the second thing that means is I have way too many videos on my phone right now and the third thing that means is that we listen to Mary did you know eight million six hundred and ninety two times and somewhere around the six million time it hit me that Mary didn't know we sing the song Mary did you know let me answer you no Mary had no idea that God was going to require something of her that would make her uncomfortable but if she could stay focused on what God said to her it could be the thing that would change human history forever Mary didn't know but Mary had to surrender to what God was asking and I don't know who's listening to this right now but some of you don't know what tomorrow holds you don't know what next year holds you don't know what anything is going to be but you do know who holds it and what I telling you is Mary gives us a depiction that you don't have to know as long as you know the one who does know and this is why I looked at her story differently and I just want to walk you through this real quick just just think about the Christmas story and how triggered that Mary and Joseph could have been and how they could have crashed out they're about to be engaged to be married and most theologians believe that Mary was somewhere between the ages of 15 and 17 so she's a preteen mom she comes into this situation bout to have her baby daddy that she liked Joe they bout to come together and live a happily ever after she goes to sleep wakes up and was like oh some ain't right and I know this ain't just how I'ma tell him angel comes Mary don't be afraid I'm afraid very afraid she said how is how could this be how did this happen we ain't even do what needed to happen to do what happened and he said the Holy Spirit hasn't pray I ain't met him who is that like I'm sorry this is how it comes to my mind he said this this is going to be gossip okay but could you tell Joseph cuz this is gone I think this is gonna be a deal-breaker Joseph sleeping like I love Mary. Ooh, we about to have a good time. I'm about to marry that girl. She's so fun.
[00:22:45] He finds out, boom, angel comes to his dreams. Joseph, hello? Your girl is pregnant with God's baby. You ever been in a dream that you was trying to fight to wake up out of? Y'all know them dreams where you just falling and falling and falling, or you can't get like, I don't know But it was a dream. I ought to be like, trying to fight. What? Hey, I need you to not just go away. I'm not trying to get rid of you, Joe. You're going to be an intricate part of this story. Probably the most looked over person in the whole story, but the most intricate.
[00:23:29] They're not going to write no songs about you, Joseph. Y'all know a Joseph song?
[00:23:41] Has anybody ever? That's what we're going to do. TC Worship, we're going to write a song for Joseph.
[00:23:47] because don't nobody talk about joe but joseph think about it joseph has to get this dream wake up name the baby jesus if anything i'ma name the baby joe okay come on y'all i'ma stay with you and you gonna name this baby junior he obeys the word watch this this is another um a fact that people don't understand he doesn't disgrace mary he still marries her which in this society would have been a big no-no because the women were coming into status when they got married in this time he's saying i'm still going to give her her dignity knowing what's happening and then it was his responsibility watch this to get her to the place that the Savior was to be born at.
[00:24:49] He had to facilitate the transportation.
[00:24:52] He had to get the donkey.
[00:24:54] He had to walk while she was riding.
[00:24:57] Golly.
[00:24:58] I don't know about you, but I get encouraged by Joseph's story because sometimes it don't make sense why we in a situation.
[00:25:04] I bet there was many times that Joseph was about to crash out, like, hold on, wait.
[00:25:08] You don't want the food I just bought you?
[00:25:10] Because you know pregnant women, the food that they like before they was pregnant, they don't like when they pregnant.
[00:25:14] So they'd be like, you want a hot dog?
[00:25:15] understand the hot dogs you used to eat hot dogs all the time y'all know what I'm talking about he had to go through all I just want to make it real for you he had to go through so many different things watch this and still believe the word that he heard from heaven today there would have been so many opportunities for Joseph to crash out for Mary to crash out just like there's so many opportunities right now for you to crash out but I just want to know if you could actually take some lessons from Mary and Joseph's life that would allow you to see what happens when Jesus crashes in see interruptions from God watch this are always invitation to something greater if God interrupted your plan he's trying to get you to do something greater if God allowed that relationship not to work out he's trying to give you something greater if God let that business deal fall through it's because he's trying to give you something greater and that's why Matthew 1 18 said this is the Messiah was born to Mary and when he was born to Mary I bet Mary felt lonely and Christmas is the story listen I'm just gonna give you six things that Christmas um actually means Christmas is the story of God interrupting loneliness and introducing love he literally probably finds Mary in the loneliest place in the world trying figure out how she gonna walk around knowing this baby is illegitimate in everybody's eyes knowing my husband or my future husband doesn't feel connect to me because it's not his child and then Jesus interrupts and this is what the scripture tells us in Matthew 1 23 it says behold a virgin shall be with child and shall bring forth the son and they shall call his name watch this Emmanuel which means what God is with us so first God's with you John 4 7 says beloved let us love one another for love is from God and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God God's main characteristic is love so literally when jesus interrupts love is interrupting and being with mary okay jesus is god he is love god is say it with me god is so because god is love and jesus is on the inside of her at the moment she felt lonely love was still in her oh my god get the picture that at the moment you feel lonely heaven says god's with you love is with you i know they left but love didn't leave i know they've gone but love didn't leave you i know you're trying to figure out how you're going to make it and you feel lonely and nobody's with you and you wish it was different but god is emmanuel it could say love with us i don't got enough time to teach you how i feel it right now but christmas is the story of god interrupting loneliness and introducing love so if you feel lonely today just want to let you know that this christmas you have the ability to receive the love of jesus let me tell you the second thing christmas is the story of god interrupting anxiety and introducing peace do y'all know how chaotic it must have been to be trying to move in the middle of trying to figure out if y'all gonna even be together in the middle of trying to get to another place for the census and trying to like there was so many things going on at this moment anxiety everywhere even down to when Jesus was to be born they didn't even have a room for him God you couldn't have planned this better like I would have been going back to the angel angel mr. angel miss angel you told me that my wife was gonna be pregnant with God I see it she she pregnant you told me that this was gonna be a good situation and he should be born in a manger but we thought there was gonna be room for him somewhere but they told us here no there no there no there no and God was like yeah I'm interrupting your plan how you thought it was gonna be to introduce something greater I needed Jesus to be born in a place that was lonely so there would be not one person to ever think that they were too low to be able to come out of a situation I needed somebody to understand that the hotel would have made somebody think it was for the elite but Jesus came to save the people in the slums in the barns in the crack house in the trap past he came for all of us excuse me hear what i'm saying to you that probably made mary and joseph in the process very anxious but jesus crashed in and so when anxious thoughts and ideas come remember you got jesus remember peace crashes in that's why isaiah 9 6 says it like this for unto us a child is born and unto us a son is given and the government will be on his shoulders and he will be called help me wonderful counselor mighty god everlasting father what's the last one prince of peace so when you're feeling anxious i want to let you know let jesus crash in let him crash into your thoughts let him crash into those anxious thoughts let him crash in with his love and his word because he wants to give you peace let me tell you one more thing because I started looking at their their story and like like like the one thing that I realized is when Jesus crashes in there's no warning when Jesus crashes in some of y'all came to service today or you're watching this right now online or on TV and you weren't expecting to be watching this Jesus is crashing into your situation right now you was watching the news and then bow here we are he's trying to interrupt and introduce something and when God crashes in he crashes in without warning and I think he does this because sometimes life crashes into us without warning it's our job as believers to know that you know what if God's gonna allow this he gonna work it out for our good this week as we were participating in the end of the year giving time that we had at transformation Church we had people write down what they would believe in God for in crazy faith. And there was something that happened that really was a blessing to me. We found out that there was some partners who lost everything in a fire in their apartment. A single mother with two children, they lost everything. And some of y'all remember the message last week. I said, I'm just believing that our church will be an Acts 242 church that when people are in need people would raise up and just do things and come out and the church wouldn't have to be the one to do everything that people would do it and I just started saying that and people screaming like yeah and then right after service we found this out well the team was like we got to do something we got to make a move to actually when it could be anxious bring peace to a situation and so let me tell you what transformation church did this week, y'all. Let me tell you what we did, and then I'm going to tell you a really fun part. There was a family that their house burned down. This is video of it. [00:36:52] Merry Christmas. Church, let's celebrate what God has done. Look at that. Shout out to my brother at Oasis. Thank you, Brother AJ. Come on, church, let's give God praise. This is what God will do.
[00:37:07] This is what he does. He takes anxiety away from people by people being his hands and feet. I feel like running right now. Transformation Church, can we give God praise all over this building?
[00:37:24] Y'all can do better than that. Their lives were just changed. An interruption and an introduction.
[00:37:38] They had no idea. When Jesus crashed in, it's an interruption and an introduction.
[00:37:47] The crazy thing about it is they're out there processing what God just did for them, but you could do that for somebody tomorrow. I'm not talking about the amount, but tomorrow there's somebody that may need you to just listen to the Holy Spirit. What could you pay for for somebody? What word of encouragement? I'm not saying you'd even have to use money, but if you would slow down just a moment and the Holy Spirit said, go pray for that person. You say, hey, I'm so sorry. My name is, can I pray for you real quick? And they may be like, but you have no idea what they just said right before you walked up, and this could be a sign. See, when Jesus crashed in, he was about to change human history. He was about to give us gifts under a tree. Them kids out there crying right now. They have no idea how to handle just things that they won't even remember next year. Let's be honest. All the things is great right now. Next year, they're with the ps7 pf20 ps we but we get a gift that lasts with us for eternity christmas it's the story write this down of god interrupting anger and introducing joy joseph if he is like any other man on this earth probably had a few moments of being like you know what mary you and this donkey gone. I don't know. Maybe that's just me. Mary, you and this donkey, y'all can have it. Because many times, a lot of men, if they don't learn how to process their emotions, all their emotions turn into just anger. And we're working on that, right, men? Yeah, we're going to have to do a series because we believe in theology and therapy, and a lot of y'all need it. But he could have been angry, but watch what this does. The Bible tells us in Psalm 16, 11, it says, you make known to me the path of life. In your presence, there's fullness of joy. And at your right hand, there's pleasures forevermore. When Jesus comes in, his presence comes in. When his presence comes in, joy comes in. When joy comes in, anger can't stay. You ain't never seen nobody angry and joyful.
[00:40:26] That is an impossible intersection. Somebody who is completely joyful cannot be angry.
[00:40:35] and what god is asking you let me come in let me crash into that marriage who you've been protecting because you don't want nobody know our business we already know you jacked up we don't know the details but we see y'all like let him crash in and interrupt the cycles of anger with joy that's what happened at christmas watch this next one christmas is the story of God interrupting fear and introducing faith. Mary and Joseph probably had a lot of fear taking those steps as they were trying to go from one place to another. She's pregnant. It's dark.
[00:41:21] They don't have a place to stay. God, why did you call us to do this? But God literally tells us that wherever you have fear, he says, I'll be the one to increase your faith. Look at it in Isaiah 41 10. So do not fear. This is said in the Bible so many times. Do not fear. He's literally telling us over and over and over again. Do not what? Fear. Why would you say that so many times? Because he knew it would be a natural inclination for us as humans to lean into fear. He's saying, do not fear. Why? Because he's Emmanuel, God. He said, I'm with you. Do not be dismayed for I am your God. And I'm not just going to be your God. I'm going to strengthen you and help you. And I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. If you are dealing with fear right now, I get it.
[00:42:14] Mary and Joseph dealt with fear, raising your kids in 2025, going to that college, trying to figure out what high school you're going to be a part. There's so many things that fear can try to creep in, but we have to replace our fear with letting Jesus crash in. Jesus doesn't come in with fear.
[00:42:31] He comes in with faith. He says, I don't give you that type of spirit. I'll never give you a spirit of fear, but a power, love, and a sound mind. Let Jesus cross you in and give you power, love, and a sound mind. That's the story of Christmas. The story of Christmas, let me give you one more, is a story of God interrupting shame and introducing grace. From the time Mary found out she was pregnant, shame probably tried to just literally, I don't want to go out. I don't want to see nobody I don't want nobody to see me I don't want I just want to disappear has anybody ever dealt with shame in your life come on shame makes you not want to be who you know you are when when you're when you're ashamed of what you did or what happened it makes you want to just I don't never mind I don't want to it is a debilitating factor that is used by the enemy to cancel people's callings shame has taken out more people than the devil has well gonna think this about me forget what they think about you if god called you if god chose you if god called your name if god empowers you you cannot yeah i did it i'm not it oh y'all missed it yes i did that but that is not who i am that was an event that is not my identity and somebody needs to be encouraged today who's been in shame that jesus crashes in to let you know don't be be ashamed of that. I'll wash that. I'll clean that. I'll make that a part of your story that actually gives you the ability to stand confident. My story is a story of somebody who was a liar, a manipulator. I was addicted to pornography. I had bad things in my heart. Oh, the pastor's saying it. Yeah, I'm saying it because that's what I used to do. And some of y'all still lying about your testimony. And what I'm telling you right now, God only blesses who you really are, not who you pretend to be. Today, I'm telling you right now, you do not have to live in shame because Jesus crashed in, but it's a choice. At Christmas, it's a choice. Today, some of you, I believe by faith, you're going to walk out of shame and you're going to begin to walk into the grace of God. The Bible says it like this, Ephesians 2 and 8. It says, for by grace, you have been saved. That is not through good works. That is not through how many prayers you've done that is not through how many times you've done the right thing it says for by grace you have been saved through your faith and this is not your own doing it is the gift of god not as a result of your own works so that you can't boast about it when jesus comes in he says i come with grace and today i need you to receive it the reason why mary and joseph could not crash out is because we needed christ i mean if they would if they would have crashed out all of us would be messed up but god chose the right ones he chose the right ones that would say even though this is hard i'm gonna still keep walking even though this is difficult i'm gonna still keep going and i bet there were some times that in their journey it got very dark like i mean i bet mentally emotionally even physically they're literally traveling in a desert on a donkey pregnant wife confused husband it seemed dark it seemed like is there is is there any way out of this situation and there are some people in here right now that this is how your life is felt all 2025. It's felt dark. It's felt like, what is going on? And when will this end? And God, will you please do something different? Because I can't stay here. Right now, if you decide to leave the service, this would be dangerous for you. Why? Because it's movement in the dark feels dangerous. Trying to find your way in the dark feels what? Dangerous. It feels risky. It feels like, why is this happening? But as Mary and Joseph decided that we're not going to let the darkness keep us in the same place, the story of Christmas is the story of God interrupting darkness and introducing humanity to light. See, there were three men traveling who had heard a word from God that the Messiah was to be born, and it had been spoken through prophecy after prophecy.
[00:47:34] and these men were also in the dark just as joseph and mary were emotionally and physically in the dark these men were walking in a desert through the dark and i don't know who these guys were but i bet there's like where are we going and the other one was like just stay focused we're following the word following what word remember the messiah is to be born and we have to go present what we have to him we have to give our gifts to him and probably the honorary woman was just walking like bro I'm sick of this when can something else happen and these men were given the most beautiful picture of what Jesus came to give all of us there was a star that just appeared out of nowhere another word for a star is there was a light that came on and when this light came on something jumped in they spirit and they said we gotta follow the light they went from darkness not knowing wandering to saying I don't know anything else but just as long as we follow the light Christmas is the story of everybody who has been living in darkness getting introduced to the light of the world. His name is Jesus. He loves you dearly. He's the only one that can take you from lonely to love. He's the only one that can take you from fear to faith. He's the only one that can take you from shame to grace. And today I'm coming to let you know that Christmas is not about trees, ornaments, or gifts we can give to somebody. It's about the gift that was already given to us.
[00:49:38] his name is Emmanuel God with us and just as those wise men and the Bible tells us that there were others that saw this same light just as they followed it their walk changed their life changed because they were able to move not by what they had designed for their own self but they followed the light and And today, I'm asking you, are you following the light?
[00:50:15] Are you following the light of the world, Jesus?
[00:50:20] If you're not, Christmas is the story of the interruption of darkness and then the introduction of light.
[00:50:30] Let me give you a scripture.
[00:50:31] John 8, 12.
[00:50:33] Again, Jesus spoke to them saying, I am the light of the world.
[00:50:40] Whoever follows me, watch this.
[00:50:42] will not walk in darkness but will have the light of life I wonder what the light of life feels like I wonder what happens when light begins to come to dark situations Jesus said if you follow me yeah those wise men they follow the star but if you follow me everything in your life will be lit up everything that's dark the confusion you have in relationships the confusion you have in your life he said I'll start lighting everything up as a matter of fact you will become a light I won't just light it up you will become you don't believe me Matthew chapter 5 verse 14 it says you are the light of the world he flips it he told him I'm the light of the world but now he says you are the light of the world a city set up on a hill that cannot be hidden nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket but on a stand and it gives light to all in the house in the same way let your light so shine before others so that you may see your good works and give glory to your father who is in heaven everybody's standing all over this room we don't have to crash out because Jesus crashed in. At this moment, I want to do two things. Y'all, we're going to be in church for about six more minutes. I just want you to use this as a reverent moment to focus.
[00:52:30] Would you close your eyes all over this building? And if you're watching online or on TV, would you just close your eyes? And right now I want to ask you, are you following Jesus? Not do I go to church am I religious or spiritual like do I do I actually have a relationship with the reason for the season and if the answer is no or maybe today I want to give you an opportunity to receive Jesus on the count of three if you want to make a decision to put your life in the hands of the one who created you knows you and has been with you the whole time all you're gonna do is repeat a simple prayer after me. And if you're in this room or you're watching at a different time, I'm telling you the same spirit that is in this moment right now is with you right now. If you want to receive Jesus, number one, you're making the greatest decision of your life. Number two, your name is going to be written in the Lamb's book of life, and he's about to transform you. If you want to receive Jesus, three, shoot your hand up all over this place and shoot your hand up if you're watching this. I see your hand. I see your hand, my brother. I see your hand. Come on, church. I see your hand. More than that, God sees your hand. Glory to God. You can put your hand down. See you, my brother. Today, the Bible tells us all of heaven rejoices over one person that gives their life to Christ. This entire day is worth it just for you. And more than that, Jesus thought you were worth it. So he took off divinity and put on humanity and came and was born in a barn and sheeps and goats and pigs were his first audience and wise men who were guided by a star came and they dropped their gifts off and what you're doing right now is dropping the greatest gift you can into the hands of Jesus your life so today for those who are coming to Christ we're gonna pray together and at transformation Church we're a big family we we all pray for the benefit of those who are coming to Christ repeat after me say God thank you for crashing in to my life thank you for sending Jesus just for me today I admit I've sinned but I repent and I turn to you I believe you live you die and you rose again with all power just so I could live free change me renew me transform I'm yours in Jesus name amen hey can we clap all over this place oh come on transformation church can we thank god hallelujah listen everybody should have got a candle coming into this room and if you just made that decision for jesus i want you to to do two things number one i want you to text saved to 828282 if you're watching on tv if you're watching online text saved and we want to send you some information and then we want to invite you to come back we won't be here next Sunday but we'll be here the Sunday after that but you can watch online and we want we want you to start the year off right in the house of God this will be your best year ever if it is your best year spiritually I'm gonna say it one more time because everybody needs to hear this this will be your best year if it is your best year spiritually join us for prayer and fasting make a decision to come to church make a decision to get in a small group everybody that's here right now church is not just for easter i don't want you to see i want to see you easter but i want to see you before easter because life be happening and we really need each other and sometimes you have to be reminded that when jesus crashes in that's when everything can change if you have your candle I wanted to end this service in this way that just as those wise men followed the light and then Jesus said that we were the light of the world we're gonna light these candles and we're gonna sing a worship song and I just want us to reflect I want to make sure that you know that your light matters like your life matter like how you live matters this is why it matters that Jesus crashed in this is why it matters that we don't crash out because you're like somebody say my life matters cuz he went from being the only light to putting his spirit in you and he said the world is getting darker and darker and so I'm sending you into it we got to stop running from what we were called to we're called to the streets we're called to the boardrooms we're called to entertainment we're called to education we're called. And what that means is that we have to make sure we light what God has given us.
[00:57:53] I'm going to ask my family to come up here. And as you get lit, and I ain't talking about the lit some of y'all be doing on Saturday nights, okay? As you are lit, what happens is you have the ability to light somebody else. All over this room. Come on, family. And fathers, you should light your children and mothers. You should teach them about God. You should be the ones in your life that hold the standard. Look at this room. It's dark everywhere right now. There's whole sections that aren't lit up, but I promise you just give it a little time. Just give it a few moments. Just give it somebody stepping outside of their own comfort zone and actually beginning to extend beyond themselves and we get to see what it looks like when something gets lit this section over here y'all really dark but you know what y'all stay right here i'm gonna take my light and i know i know everybody's like be careful but sometimes i gotta do what's uncomfortable and i gotta come to a place where somebody somebody may not know and you know what as i was moving my light went out and i gotta go to somebody who's lit would you pray for me come on would you would you encourage me and somebody's like we can't see it on the screen some of the people you gonna like you'll never be able to meet them there will be some people that you like that you're not going to be able to instagram it there's going to be some people that you like that nobody's ever going to be able to see the results of it except what you do is going to make an impact on everybody around you. Come on, light everybody that's around you. This is what it looks like to be the light of the world. It doesn't matter who's on the platform. Will you light up who you're surrounded by? It doesn't matter who's famous and how many followers. Will you light up who you're around? And sometime our light tries to go out, and that's why we have to protect the light that God has placed on the inside of us. Thank you, Lord. What once was completely dark is now lit up for the glory of God. Transformation Church, this is not just a Christmas tradition.
[01:01:13] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_00]
[01:01:13] This is a picture of every day of our life. We sing light of the world. You step down into darkness.

[01:06:17] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_03]
[01:06:17] would you please blow your candle out physically but not your spiritual candle amen all over this room as we leave um give me one second to just speak a blessing over you i declare as my family stands up here and gia does a ballet dance through the entire thing you did great baby who knows she might be up here dancing one day what what i want you to know is that we're we're a real family and not just this family but this family like our family has everything your family has. Crazy, cussing, all of it. Not our children cussing. Well, they young still, so you never know.
[01:07:13] The reason I'm saying this is because I don't want us to think that we get to a place of perfection where we don't still need God. We still need God. Today, I want to speak a blessing over you, that as you go out from this place, that God would give you his peace, that he would be the God that is with you. Would you lift your hands all over this place if you can? Father, I pray for this beautiful church here in the room and online. And I thank you, Father God, that you brought us all here together. Come on, baby. Hold my hand. Yeah. Come on. Hold me. Hold me. You know what?
[01:07:49] Yeah. Father, I thank you. I thank you that I don't crash out at the end of this message.
[01:07:58] God, we just thank you that you are with us and you knew everything that we would deal with.
[01:08:03] And so I speak a blessing over every person under the sound of my voice, bless their going in and coming out, bless their families generationally.
[01:08:13] I thank you that this Christmas season will be the best that they've ever had, whether they have a lot of people around or they're grieving people they've lost.

[01:08:25] Today, God, we give you glory.
[01:08:27] We give you honor and we give you praise.
