When the Attack is a Distraction: A Theological Review

The sermon is a topical, therapeutic message built on the principle "Don't let the attack distract you." It uses the biblical text as a launchpad rather than the subject of exegesis, resulting in an anthropocentric application focused on emotional resilience. The message is theologically weakened by claims of direct, extra-biblical revelation for the sermon topic and a soteriology that leans heavily on human decision.

🔍 Biblical Discernment: The 7 Church Parallels
The Faithful Parallels Smyrna • Philadelphia
Teaching that parallels the churches that endure suffering with true spiritual riches (Rev 2:9) and keep the Word of Christ without denial despite having "little strength" (Rev 3:8).
The Cold Orthodox Parallel Ephesus
Teaching that upholds doctrinal precision yet parallels the loss of the "first love"—the vital, motivating power of the Gospel (Rev 2:4).
The Formalist Parallels Sardis • Laodicea
Teaching that parallels churches relying on a reputation of being alive while being spiritually dead (Rev 3:1), or resting in lukewarm self-sufficiency, claiming to be "rich" while spiritually bankrupt (Rev 3:17).
The Compromised Parallels Pergamum • Thyatira
Teaching that parallels churches tolerating the "doctrine of Balaam" through cultural accommodation (Rev 2:14), or allowing seductive teachings that lead the flock into false gospels and immorality (Rev 2:20).
Why strictly "Mark & Avoid"?
We do not issue this rating to attack the speaker, but to protect the listener. This church's overall teaching trend consistently deviates from sound doctrine. As per Romans 16:17, we identify these patterns so believers can guard their hearts.

🧐 Overview

Sermon Summary: This sermon uses the Parable of the Wheat and Tares as a foundation for a motivational message encouraging listeners to ignore life's 'attacks' and focus on their personal growth and 'impact'.

Big Idea: Don't let the attack distract you. [00:16:45 ▶️ 📄]

Pastoral Analysis: The sermon is a topical, therapeutic message built on the principle "Don't let the attack distract you." It uses the biblical text as a launchpad rather than the subject of exegesis, resulting in an anthropocentric application focused on emotional resilience. The message is theologically weakened by claims of direct, extra-biblical revelation for the sermon topic and a soteriology that leans heavily on human decision.

Biblical Parallel(Archetype): Laodicea — The sermon's focus on self-help, personal 'impact,' and managing life's negatives for emotional stability aligns with the self-sufficient, therapeutic posture of Laodicea.

🧭 Biblical Alignment Dashboard

Overall Verdict: Theologically Weak

CategoryStatusReasoning
Soteriology ⚠️ WEAK The altar call relies on a man-centered 'sinner's prayer' methodology, emphasizing the individual's decision ('I make Jesus Lord') rather than God's sovereign, regenerating work. This reflects the historical error of Decisionism.
Bibliology ⚠️ WEAK The pastor claims direct, specific revelation from God for the sermon's main point, undermining the sufficiency of Scripture. The Bible is used pretextually to support a pre-existing therapeutic idea, rather than being the source of the message.
Hermeneutic ❌ FAIL The interpretation is fundamentally anthropocentric (Narcigesis), using the parable as a mirror for the listener's personal struggles rather than a window into Christ's kingdom. The application is therapeutic and motivational, not gospel-centered.
Theology Proper ⚠️ WEAK God is presented primarily as a facilitator for human success and emotional well-being. This 'Manager' view of God subordinates His glory to human ambition and comfort, reflecting a therapeutic deism.
Sacramentology ⚪ N/A No sacraments were observed in the provided transcript.

Passages Read Aloud:

  • Matthew 13:24-30 [00:15:16 ▶️ 📄]
"The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. If you are the underlining your Bible type, just underline the word good. It was good seed. But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat and went away. When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared. The owner's servants came to him and said, Sir, didn't you sow good seed in your field? Where then did these weeds come from? An enemy did this, he replied. The servants asked him, Do you want us to go and pull them up? No, he answered. Because while you are pulling the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters, First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned. Then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn."

Christological Connection: Thematic: Jesus is identified as the sower and the agent of salvation in the altar call, but the parable's primary meaning is applied therapeutically to the listener's life, not to the person or work of Christ.

🧱 Sermon Outline

  • Introduction [00:10:35 ▶️ 📄] : The pastor introduces the Parable of the Soils as a preface before reading the main text, the Parable of the Wheat and Tares, and stating the sermon's theme.
  • Point 1: The Danger of Judging Others [00:18:14 ▶️ 📄] : The first application of the parable is a warning against judging others, emphasizing human fallibility in discernment and that judgment belongs to God.
  • Point 2: The Attack is a Distraction [00:27:39 ▶️ 📄] : The core of the message is developed: the enemy's strategy is not to destroy God's seed but to distract the believer with 'weeds' (attacks, problems) to induce self-destruction.
  • Point 3: Trust God's Sovereignty Over the 'Weeds' [00:37:13 ▶️ 📄] : The pastor encourages listeners to adopt a 'let him' attitude toward the enemy's attacks, trusting that God is in control and can use adversity for good.
  • Conclusion & Altar Call [00:52:51 ▶️ 📄] : The sermon concludes with a final exhortation to focus on God's work, not the weeds, and transitions into a guided 'sinner's prayer' for salvation.

🗝️ Key Topics & Themes

  • Judging Others [00:18:14 ▶️ 📄] : The pastor discusses the importance of not judging others and focusing instead on one's own actions.
  • Attack and Distraction [00:16:45 ▶️ 📄] : The pastor emphasizes the importance of not letting attacks distract from one's faith and purpose.
  • Judgment and discernment [00:21:16 ▶️ 📄] : The pastor discusses the importance of not judging others as evil or sinners, emphasizing that God alone decides who is on His side.
  • Attacks and distractions [00:27:49 ▶️ 📄] : The pastor explains how the devil attacks believers and tries to distract them from what God is doing in their lives.
  • The presence of both good and bad elements in life [00:35:55 ▶️ 📄] : Pastor discusses the inevitability of challenges and difficulties alongside positive experiences.

✅ Commendations

Pastoral Encouragement | Affirmation of God's Sovereignty in Trials

The sermon rightly encourages believers that God is in control even when life is difficult and 'mixed' with good and bad. The core idea that God's purpose cannot be thwarted by the enemy's attacks is a biblical and comforting truth.

Evangelistic Fervor | Clear Invitation to Salvation

The pastor clearly and passionately calls unbelievers to place their faith in Christ, correctly identifying Jesus as the only way to be saved and articulating the need for a personal decision.

⚠️ Theological Concerns

🟠 Claim of Extra-Biblical Revelation

Root Cause: Neo-Montanism. This error denies the sufficiency and closure of the Biblical canon by claiming new, ongoing, authoritative revelation from God.

"The Lord told me to tell you, don't let the attack distract you." [00:16:36 ▶️ 📄]

Correction: The Bible is the complete and sufficient Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Pastors receive illumination to understand and apply the existing text, not new revelation to supplement it. Preaching must be grounded in 'Thus says the Lord' as written in Scripture, not 'The Lord told me.'

🟠 Therapeutic Narcigesis

Root Cause: Therapeutic Deism. This reduces God to a motivational life-coach whose primary purpose is to help individuals achieve personal happiness, success, and emotional well-being.

"Some of the things that are attacking you in your life right now, the attack doesn't matter unless it distracts you from what God has called you." [00:29:07 ▶️ 📄]

Correction: All Scripture testifies about Christ (John 5:39). The goal of interpretation is not to find ourselves in the text, but to find Christ in the text and be conformed to His image. The parable's focus is the King and His coming judgment, not primarily the emotional state of the wheat.

📝 Other Corrections & Notes

  • I'll be sharing today from the parable of the seed in Matthew, chapter 13, verses 24 through 30. Matthew, chapter 14, verses 24 through 30. [00:10:43 ▶️ 📄] → Correction: The passage is in Matthew chapter 13, not 14. (Matthew 13:24-30)

[00:07:25] God, it's all about you.
[00:07:29] I pray that even today as I preach that you would see fit to use me like a woodwind instrument, something that your breath could use to produce a sound that would produce a melody from heaven, that would be medicine to someone's heart.
[00:07:48] Lord, I bring before you every person that's in this room, the 19 other rooms where we physically gather.
[00:07:54] Every place where somebody couldn't go to church or they were just too lazy.
[00:08:00] Speak your word.
[00:08:03] One time a man said, I don't even need to have you come in my house, Jesus, if you just speak your word.
[00:08:08] It's enough to heal.
[00:08:11] Today, Lord, we just ask for a word from you, our daily bread.
[00:08:15] Not enough so we can come to church once at the beginning of the year, check it off the list, and then spend the rest of the year asking God why he didn't show up.
[00:08:23] but enough were to nourish us for the needs of this moment.
[00:08:26] You are Jehovah Jireh, and you're in this place, and I give you the praise in Jesus' name.

[00:10:27] I thank you for the privilege of being able to minister God's Word to you another year.
[00:10:32] What an honor.
[00:10:35] I'll be sharing today from the parable of the seed in Matthew, chapter 13, verses 24 through 30.
[00:10:43] Matthew, chapter 14, verses 24 through 30.
[00:10:52] This is not the parable that's normally called the parable of the seeds.
[00:10:57] The parable of the seeds that we hear more about is actually the parable of the soils.
[00:11:04] Jesus taught these parables.
[00:11:06] He would go out and he would give a teaching.
[00:11:08] On one level, it would sound simple, but you reflect on it and you pray about it, and it really helps you to see what the kingdom of God is like.
[00:11:17] And it helps you to see what you're like.
[00:11:20] And one of those parables that has helped me so much through the year, he talks about a seed that was sown in four different places.
[00:11:27] One was sown on rocky soil.
[00:11:30] So because the soil was too rocky the bird came and snatched it up so that seed got snatched so it didn't do what it was supposed to do and then there was one seed that was sown in a place where it was scorched by the sun which represents the trials of life so since it didn't have a root or a foundation the sun was too strong for it and it got cooked up before it could come forth i said it got cooked up before it could come forth
[00:11:56] Some promises that God speaks to you.
[00:11:58] The sun, the affliction, the heat of trial.
[00:12:03] It tests that seed before it has had the chance to develop and you don't pass the test.
[00:12:08] The third type of seed that he talks about is one that gets choked out, or we could say strangled, by the cares of this life.
[00:12:15] Just getting busy.
[00:12:17] In each of these instances, the seed represents the Word of God, and the sower is God.
[00:12:23] The seed is good in each of those instances, but it is not successful because of the soil it lands in.
[00:12:29] One of the soils Jesus mentions in that parable is the good soil, which produces a harvest 30, 60, and 100-fold.
[00:12:40] This always encouraged me as a preacher.
[00:12:42] One time I realized most of the people I preach to won't remember the sermon 24 hours after I preach it.
[00:12:50] Most of the people I preach to about a specific topic aren't going to really do what I challenge them to do, even if I give them Scripture behind it, because the seed often gets snatched, scorched, or strangled.
[00:13:01] But the one seed that produced a harvest… Watch what it did.
[00:13:04] It produced 30, 60, or 100-fold.
[00:13:08] So the one seed that was successful made up for all the ones that weren't.
[00:13:13] God can bless you with one blessing in your life that will make every failure irrelevant.
[00:13:21] I came to preach that even though most people won't receive this word, if one does, it will have been worth it.
[00:13:30] That's what I believe these days that most won't.
[00:13:33] Fine.
[00:13:33] But if one does, it could branch out and touch the world.
[00:13:37] If one does, what is one's soul worth?
[00:13:40] What is one's life worth?
[00:13:42] What is one grandmother's prayers getting answered worth?
[00:13:46] If one does.
[00:13:48] I just want to encourage you on the way to my main text today.
[00:13:51] I'm not preaching about that one, believe it or not.
[00:13:54] I studied it, but I'm not going to preach it.
[00:13:57] because you may be encouraging your kids right now or instructing your kids right now or working on something in your life and most of the things that you try and most of the things that you say won't get through to them but if one does somebody say if one does
[00:14:15] If one does, it can change a life.
[00:14:17] If one does, it can change a generation.
[00:14:20] If one does, it can change a bloodline.
[00:14:22] Most won't.
[00:14:23] Don't be discouraged by the ones who don't work.
[00:14:25] Don't be discouraged by the ones who don't call you back.
[00:14:28] Don't be discouraged by the ones who don't say yes.
[00:14:30] Don't be discouraged by the ones who don't get you.
[00:14:33] Because if one does… Look, I asked a lot of girls to be my girlfriend before Holly.
[00:14:38] Most didn't, but one did.
[00:14:40] Look at me now.
[00:14:42] Look at what the Lord has done.
[00:14:47] If one does.
[00:14:48] This is a scripture I want to give you today from Matthew, chapter 13, about a parable of two different types of seed.
[00:14:59] Not different types of soil, which represents the condition of our heart, but two different types of seed.
[00:15:04] I'm going to read it to you, and then we'll talk about it for just a few moments.
[00:15:09] Jesus is teaching many parables, and they're collected here for us to read.
[00:15:14] It says Jesus told them another parable.
[00:15:16] The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field.
[00:15:22] If you are the underlining your Bible type, just underline the word good.
[00:15:27] It was good seed.
[00:15:29] But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat and went away.
[00:15:40] When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared.
[00:15:48] The owner's servants came to him and said, Sir, didn't you sow good seed in your field?
[00:15:54] Where then did these weeds come from?
[00:15:59] An enemy did this, he replied.
[00:16:02] The servants asked him, Do you want us to go and pull them up?
[00:16:07] No, he answered.
[00:16:09] Because while you are pulling the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them.
[00:16:15] Let both grow together until the harvest.
[00:16:20] At that time I will tell the harvesters, First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned.
[00:16:27] Then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.
[00:16:32] I have a simple message from the Lord for your heart today.
[00:16:36] The Lord told me to tell you, don't let the attack distract you.
[00:16:43] That's what it is.
[00:16:45] It's a distraction.
[00:16:47] He told me to tell you, don't let the attack distract you.
[00:16:51] Write it down in your notebook.
[00:16:53] Type it in the comments.
[00:16:54] Don't let the attack distract you.
[00:16:58] I love preaching the second Sunday of a new year, because by now your New Year's resolutions have become good intentions which you have modified to become more realistic.
[00:17:10] The New Year's energy has been sufficiently tapered and sufficiently adjusted to match the realities of daily life for most people, and now we can really preach about the way life is.
[00:17:22] New Year's resolution, first Sunday of the year, I'm not cussing anymore.
[00:17:27] Second week of the year, I'm cutting back on cussing.
[00:17:30] I'm only going to say these four words this year, but I have to have these four, Lord, and you know I do.
[00:17:38] I'm fasting this.
[00:17:39] I'm going to fast the first 21 days.
[00:17:41] I'm going to fast from vegetables the first 21 days.
[00:17:47] The Lord will receive it as an offering because we modify it in real life.
[00:17:53] One thing I noticed about this parable Jesus gave in the passage, and I believe you noticed it too, is that wherever there is wheat, there will always be weeds.
[00:18:07] Jesus isn't just giving us a little discourse about how problems creep up in our life here.
[00:18:12] He's making a bigger point.
[00:18:14] Specifically, he's letting us know that it is not your job to judge others.
[00:18:23] It's not your job.
[00:18:26] It's not your job because you're not God.
[00:18:31] If I could say it a little more directly, you suck at judging.
[00:18:37] That's how you bought that timeshare.
[00:18:40] That's how you bought that vacuum cleaner.
[00:18:44] You suck at judging.
[00:18:46] Honestly, even when it comes to the work I create, I've taught myself it's not my job to judge it.
[00:18:53] It's just my job to make it, especially when you write a song.
[00:18:57] You don't know.
[00:18:58] Chris Brown… Do you all know Chris Brown?
[00:19:03] I was formerly an R&B singer, but now the main worship leader at Elevation Worship.
[00:19:07] Look at what the Lord has done.
[00:19:09] I always call him the real Chris Brown.
[00:19:12] He's my favorite worship leader in the world.
[00:19:13] Always has been, always will be since the first time I heard him.
[00:19:19] He sucks at judging whether a new song is good or not.
[00:19:23] He called me one Sunday.
[00:19:24] We had a new song we wanted to introduce, and I wasn't going to be there to preach, and he was leading it.
[00:19:28] He called me afterward.
[00:19:29] I said, How'd it go?
[00:19:30] He said, Not too good.
[00:19:31] I don't think the song is very good.
[00:19:34] The song was Graves into Gardens.
[00:19:39] You remember that?
[00:19:44] You suck at judging.
[00:19:47] You're a great worship leader.
[00:19:48] You're handsome.
[00:19:48] You're a great man of God.
[00:19:49] You're wonderful at being a dad and a husband, but you suck at judging.
[00:19:54] And I chose to say it that way because some of y'all are so tripping and stumbling over the fact that I said the word suck judging me for that that you just proved my point.
[00:20:05] Because if you think if the most important thing is whether I say the word suck or whether I say it more fancy, it's not your job to judge.
[00:20:14] If you're tripping over what I'm saying, you're making the very mistake that I'm warning you about, thereby validating the wisdom of my point and the way I phrased it.
[00:20:22] Now, every once in a while, Jesus would explain his parables to his disciples after everybody else was gone.
[00:20:29] Almost like, y'all can get it at a deep level, the disciples, but the crowds couldn't consume it.
[00:20:35] And that's why he taught in parables, so that he could have the privilege of pulling aside his disciples and giving them the deeper meaning.
[00:20:42] We're going to look at the deeper meaning of this parable that Jesus shared a little bit further in Matthew, chapter 13.
[00:20:49] Put it on the screen, please.
[00:20:50] He left the crowd, went into the house.
[00:20:52] His disciples came to him and said, Explain to us the parable of the weeds and the field.
[00:20:57] He answered, Well, the one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man.
[00:21:01] The field is the world.
[00:21:05] The good seed stands for the people of the kingdom.
[00:21:09] The weeds are the people of the evil one, and the enemy who sows them is the devil.
[00:21:16] The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are the angels.
[00:21:22] As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age.
[00:21:27] The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil.
[00:21:35] they will throw them into the blazing furnace where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their father whoever has ears let them hear and we read this and we are so quick to say that's right those those those evil people those sinners those those those terrible
[00:22:02] Democrats, Republicans, Independents, whatever category you wanted to put right there, it exposed something about your heart.
[00:22:13] Whatever you wanted to see the weeds as tells me something about what you see in the mirror.
[00:22:21] Let me explain that for a moment.
[00:22:23] Go back to verse 42.
[00:22:24] It says the evil ones will be thrown into the furnace.
[00:22:30] but watch this verse 43 that comes right after it says the kingdom of their father so the furnace of judgment belongs to the father not the children the furnace of judgment is not yours to put people in
[00:22:47] The furnace of judgment is not your place to have a Facebook conversation about what everybody else thinks and why they're so stupid to think it.
[00:22:56] I shouldn't be preaching like this my first Sunday back in the year.
[00:22:59] I might run y'all all off from the church.
[00:23:01] But notice in the parable it says it was his field.
[00:23:06] I am learning more and more in my life that if it's his field, that means it's his furnace.
[00:23:13] That means God has to be the one to decide who is right and who is wrong.
[00:23:17] God has to be the one to decide who is on his side and who is not.
[00:23:22] I remember very early in my ministry, there was a pastor I greatly admired, and he was mentoring me in many ways.
[00:23:30] And he was bringing up examples of the right kind of ministry and the wrong kind of ministry.
[00:23:35] And he brought up one minister, and he said, Now this guy, he's arrogant.
[00:23:40] This guy, he is not doctrinally sound.
[00:23:43] This guy, he is not theologically correct.
[00:23:46] In fact, you can watch
[00:23:47] Preach.
[00:23:48] You can see his pride.
[00:23:50] He's arrogant, and he's self-focused, and he's fleshly.
[00:23:54] Then he brought up another gentleman, and he said, Now, this man is humble.
[00:23:58] This man has the Greek New Testament practically memorized.
[00:24:02] He's a serious student.
[00:24:04] This man, you can tell by watching him, he is meek.
[00:24:07] He is mild.
[00:24:08] He is Christlike.
[00:24:10] That's who you want to be like.
[00:24:11] Not this guy over here.
[00:24:13] That guy right there.
[00:24:14] Five years later, the guy who knew Greek
[00:24:17] The guy who was so humble was discovered to have been having an affair on foreign mission trips that he was taking pretending to be spreading the gospel for 12 years with one woman in Russia while he looked humble.
[00:24:35] The man who was so prideful and cocky and arrogant is still doing the ministry today that he was doing 20 years ago.
[00:24:44] What am I trying to say?
[00:24:45] You suck at judging, and so do I.
[00:24:49] We don't know who God is going to be using 10 years from now.
[00:24:52] We don't know who God is going to raise up.
[00:24:55] So while y'all are looking at me like you're confused about this, let me break it down a little bit finer.
[00:25:01] Some of the people you dated are proof of the fact that you are not very good at getting past the packaging.
[00:25:08] Let me break it down a little bit further.
[00:25:10] Some of the people you put in your phone that you knew you needed to block, but you ignored that little instinct that told you there is something about them… You cannot trust your own judgment this year.
[00:25:24] You cannot trust your fleshly, earthly judgment.
[00:25:27] When Israel trusted her judgment, she got Saul as king.
[00:25:32] David was a man after God's own heart.
[00:25:35] But even David had weeds.
[00:25:37] Ask Bathsheba.
[00:25:39] Even the man after God's own heart didn't always do it God's way.
[00:25:43] What I'm trying to say, and I'm kind of going all around the barn to say it, so let me just land the plane.
[00:25:49] We all got weeds.
[00:25:55] We all have weeds.
[00:26:02] Say it out loud.
[00:26:10] I have weeds.
[00:26:12] Darnell, it's this type of weed.
[00:26:16] Can I preach about this for a moment?
[00:26:19] The Bible says the man planted a good seed in his field.
[00:26:24] I'm going to point this out to you over and over again as I preach today.
[00:26:29] It was his field.
[00:26:30] It belonged to the farmer.
[00:26:32] It belonged to the man.
[00:26:34] He planted the seed in his field.
[00:26:36] It was his property.
[00:26:38] It was his territory to do with it as he wished.
[00:26:41] He planted a good seed in the field.
[00:26:44] The seed was doing what it was supposed to do.
[00:26:47] It was growing.
[00:26:49] Since the seed was doing what it was supposed to do and growing, an enemy noticed the growth of the seed and said, If I don't do something about this seed, my enemy will triumph over me.
[00:27:00] So the Bible says that overnight, while men slept, an enemy came and planted weeds among
[00:27:09] Weeds among the wheat.
[00:27:13] Notice what he couldn't do.
[00:27:15] He could not pluck up what God had planted.
[00:27:18] He could not change what had already been done.
[00:27:27] He could not cause the seed that was in the ground to stop being what it was meant to be.
[00:27:35] He could not destroy the seed.
[00:27:39] The only strategy he had was to distract the harvesters.
[00:27:46] So here's the progression of growth in our life.
[00:27:49] We advance a little bit like the seed was doing, and then we get attacked.
[00:27:56] How many of y'all almost have to laugh
[00:27:59] And how quickly the devil attacked the very thing you were advancing in this year already.
[00:28:03] Just wave at me.
[00:28:05] It's almost comical, right?
[00:28:07] It's almost like two on the nose.
[00:28:09] Like, really, devil?
[00:28:11] Like, really?
[00:28:12] Like that?
[00:28:13] You're going to be that obvious?
[00:28:14] You're just going to do it right in my face like that?
[00:28:17] At least in the parable, the man snuck in and did it at night.
[00:28:21] Some of us, the devil is just doing it in broad daylight, just attacking things that are advancing.
[00:28:28] So now you're advancing, the seed is growing, and you're attacked.
[00:28:34] When the Enemy attacks you and what God is doing in you, you get distracted.
[00:28:40] He can't destroy the seed.
[00:28:42] It's not his.
[00:28:44] He can't destroy the seed.
[00:28:46] It's already planted.
[00:28:49] He can't destroy the seed.
[00:28:51] What God put in the seed is still in the seed.
[00:28:54] He doesn't have permission to do that.
[00:28:57] But what he can do is distract you so that you will destroy yourself.
[00:29:07] Some of the things that are attacking you in your life right now, the attack doesn't matter unless it distracts you from what God has called you.
[00:29:19] I'll break it down for you with a few pastoral examples.
[00:29:22] Thank you so much.
[00:29:23] It feels good to be wanted.
[00:29:24] It feels good to be loved.
[00:29:25] It feels good to be supported.
[00:29:27] You have to preach through all kinds of seasons.
[00:29:30] There have been seasons in this ministry where I have had to preach what God gave me to preach, even though I felt attacked.
[00:29:39] In my earlier years of preaching, I would become hyper-focused on any attack that was coming my way.
[00:29:44] I don't just mean critics.
[00:29:46] I mean any attack.
[00:29:47] If a staff member resigned, I would call it an attack.
[00:29:52] Well, no, maybe they just need to move to Florida to take care of their parents.
[00:29:54] No, it's an attack.
[00:29:56] I rebuke the Devil.
[00:29:57] What do you rebuke it?
[00:29:58] It's not an attack.
[00:30:00] It's an adjustment.
[00:30:04] You have to adapt.
[00:30:05] Life just happens.
[00:30:07] But there have been seasons, and I remembered one very specifically.
[00:30:11] I've been looking forward to sharing this with you because it was so fresh and so vivid.
[00:30:16] What was happening in our church was explosive.
[00:30:19] Much like the seed in the passage, it was growing, growing, growing.
[00:30:23] God planted this church in Charlotte in 2006.
[00:30:25] I didn't plant it.
[00:30:27] He did.
[00:30:29] What God plants, God protects.
[00:30:32] God was doing all kinds of miracles for us.
[00:30:35] If we needed a building, he opened a building.
[00:30:37] If we needed a volunteer, he sent a volunteer.
[00:30:41] If we needed funds, he would send people with money.
[00:30:44] God was just providing and protecting but in one season of our ministry and it was over 10 years ago this vicious attack began
[00:30:55] If anybody was here at the time, you will remember several phases of the attack.
[00:30:59] The last phase of the attack was the hardest for me to stomach, because they began to imply on news stories that were on the 11 o'clock news that at Elevation Church we fake baptisms.
[00:31:10] In other words, they were saying that we have people pretending to be baptized, I guess just so we could put it on camera.
[00:31:18] Not only was that not true, but it was a direct assault against the most meaningful expression of faith a person can make, to be baptized.
[00:31:27] I felt so attacked, not only on my own behalf, but on behalf of everyone who was going to work who had been baptized at this church, hearing the lie that had been perpetuated, the attack that had been waged, saying, Your baptism?
[00:31:41] Was it fake?
[00:31:43] I was praying about this one day.
[00:31:45] I was asking God very specifically something that you may have been praying about a situation or an attack in your life as well.
[00:31:52] I prayed, God, make it stop.
[00:31:56] Make it stop.
[00:31:57] By this point, there had been several attacks against our church, and this one just felt like too much.
[00:32:04] I said, God, make it stop.
[00:32:06] I will never forget what the Lord said to me in my spirit, not in audible words or not in a physical impression, but in a way that he gave me a thought that I have carried with me to this moment, and I share it with you today.
[00:32:19] The Lord said, I can stop the attack, but if I stop the attack, I have to stop the impact that created it.
[00:32:32] So now you have to decide.
[00:32:35] Do you want the attack to stop bad enough to give up the impact that brought it?
[00:32:42] Because if you weren't baptizing anybody, they wouldn't be making up stories about your baptisms.
[00:32:50] but maybe what God was doing in this church was so unbelievable that the enemy saw it and said if they keep baptizing people like this there's going to be a water shortage in Charlotte and a people shortage in hell and so I gotta plant a little lie to try to get them to stop doing what God started
[00:33:19] But God said, if you want the impact, you have to man up and button your pants and tighten your belt and lace your boots and open your Bible and open your mouth and take your next breath and lift your voice and lift your head and swing your sword in the name of the Lord and realize

[00:33:43] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]:
that he who began a good work in you will be faithful to bring it full circle till the day when the angels gather the tares to be burned in the fire.

[00:34:10] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_01]:
I wanted to tell you that now that I'm through it, I'm glad they attacked me.
[00:34:15] I am.
[00:34:17] It set me free of some ego.
[00:34:20] I'm glad that happened.
[00:34:22] I don't want it to happen again.
[00:34:24] I'm not asking for another one.
[00:34:26] I'm not saying if I went back in time I would have walked that path.
[00:34:31] But there is a young man on our staff who runs my Scriptures every week.
[00:34:36] As a matter of fact, put a scripture up there, Justin.
[00:34:38] Anyone.
[00:34:38] I don't care which one.
[00:34:39] Just put it up there and just put the we appeared.
[00:34:43] Circle the word appeared.
[00:34:45] Look at that.
[00:34:48] Why did I tell him to do that?
[00:34:50] Because he started coming to the church because he heard about the baptisms on the news from the attack.
[00:35:02] Y'all don't want to mess with me.

[00:35:04] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]:
and now he's the one helping me preach the word so god used their words as a weapon oh god and now let's talk about you no weapon formed against you shall prosper
[00:35:24] and every tongue that rises against you you shall condemn this is the heritage of the service of the lord and their righteousness is from me

[00:35:45] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_01]:
So one thing the Enemy didn't realize when he was planting those weeds is that you can plant all the weeds you want to, Devil.
[00:35:55] Let me just remind you this year there will be weeds.
[00:35:58] There will be no weed-free week in your year this year.
[00:36:02] Sit back down.
[00:36:06] You know how we do these little New Year's slogans.
[00:36:09] Come alive in 25.
[00:36:13] It's going to get fixed in 26.
[00:36:19] No, it's not either.
[00:36:21] It's going to be mixed in 26.
[00:36:24] It's going to be some wheat.
[00:36:26] It's going to be some weeds.
[00:36:28] It's going to be some joy.
[00:36:29] It's going to be some mourning.
[00:36:31] It's going to be some weeping.
[00:36:33] It's going to be some reaping.
[00:36:35] It's going to be some friends.
[00:36:36] It's going to be some enemies.
[00:36:38] It's going to be some frenemies.
[00:36:39] You can't tell the difference until it's over, but don't judge it before God is done with it.
[00:36:44] God might use some of this stuff in your life that you are asking him to remove to reveal who he is in your life.
[00:36:53] And the only problem is if you start trying to pluck out the weeds, you might mess around and remove the wheat.
[00:37:08] Y'all got enough or keep going?
[00:37:13] One thing I noticed in the text that was really powerful is that the Master didn't panic about the attack.
[00:37:23] He was so cool about it.
[00:37:24] Now the servants are freaking out like we do.
[00:37:29] Sir, didn't you sow good seed in your field?
[00:37:31] Where did this come from?
[00:37:31] Who did this?
[00:37:32] What is going on?
[00:37:32] Is this the Devil?
[00:37:33] Whose fault is this?
[00:37:34] Somebody did this.
[00:37:38] The Master, because he represents God in the parable… Look at this.
[00:37:43] He's like, An enemy did this.
[00:37:50] That's what an enemy does.
[00:37:53] That's what an enemy does.
[00:37:56] That's what the Devil does.
[00:37:57] I read about a book Mel Robbins wrote called The Let Them Theory.
[00:38:05] I didn't read the book, but I liked the title.
[00:38:08] It's like, people want to talk about you?
[00:38:09] Let them.
[00:38:10] Your kids want to leave without a coat and it's cold outside?
[00:38:13] Let them.
[00:38:19] They're not going to die of hypothermia.
[00:38:21] They will figure it out.
[00:38:23] Kids are resilient.
[00:38:24] They need a little frostbite.
[00:38:27] Let them.
[00:38:31] I wonder if we could write one together today, this year in your life, called Let Him.
[00:38:41] Don't let the attack distract you.
[00:38:43] You give so much focus on how the Devil is discouraging you, and now discouragement is all you see everywhere.
[00:38:49] You have so many things going right in your life.
[00:38:52] So much wheat, but all you see is weeds.
[00:38:56] You're a little perfectionist.
[00:38:58] You're a little type A personality.
[00:39:01] You're a little Enneagram number one.
[00:39:02] Just always could be better.
[00:39:04] Just, oh man, I have to get these weeds out this year.
[00:39:07] No, you don't.
[00:39:09] I'll tell you why.
[00:39:10] If Jesus' field wasn't weed-free, what makes you think yours is going to be?
[00:39:17] Jesus couldn't have a weed-free field, but you can.
[00:39:19] No.
[00:39:22] It's going to be mixed in 26.
[00:39:23] It's going to be at 8 a.m. in the morning.
[00:39:30] This is the day the Lord has made.
[00:39:32] It's going to be by 3 p.m. in the afternoon.
[00:39:36] My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
[00:39:41] It's going to be weeds.
[00:39:43] Stop judging stuff before God is done with it.
[00:39:49] Stop judging stuff before the appointed time.
[00:39:52] Stop telling me graves into gardens isn't a good song.
[00:39:57] Stop telling me I tried it and it didn't work.
[00:39:59] I'll just use a physical example because we can all relate to it.
[00:40:04] When you work out and you haven't worked out in a while, not that you would know, the first thing that is going to indicate that you successfully completed the workout
[00:40:18] is a feeling of soreness that will feel like Satan himself brought seven spirits to your body and invaded everything.
[00:40:27] But that just means you're growing.
[00:40:30] So now you're surprised that you're sore, but you wanted to grow?
[00:40:33] If there had been no wheat, there would have been no weeds.
[00:40:40] You're praying for God to use you, but you're surprised that you feel like you're empty on the inside?
[00:40:46] That's so he can fill you up again.
[00:40:48] The promise of this year is not that it will be weed-free.
[00:40:52] I am not trying to keep a weed-free… In one sense, I am, but I am not trying to keep a weed-free… I'm trying to be Spirit-filled this year.
[00:41:05] So that whatever is planted around me… You have to know that the Master is very, very methodical in what he plants.
[00:41:15] He knew from the moment he planted this seed that the Enemy would attack it.
[00:41:21] The Master wasn't surprised the servants were, so they said, What do you want us to do about it?
[00:41:26] Do you want us to pluck it up?
[00:41:29] Do you want us to remove it?
[00:41:32] Do you want us to do something about that?
[00:41:34] I was reading a passage in 1 Kings or maybe in 2 Samuel last week with Graham.
[00:41:41] Which scripture did I give you, Justin, 2 Samuel or 1 Kings?
[00:41:45] We were reading about David.
[00:41:46] Yeah, one time David was running through his city that he used to rule over from his son, Absalom, and his son was trying to take his crown from him.
[00:41:57] The son's name was Absalom, and David actually had to go flee from his own son.
[00:42:02] And as he was leaving the city, he approached Bahurim.
[00:42:06] You couldn't pronounce it either.
[00:42:07] A man from the same clan as Saul's family came out from there.
[00:42:10] And so this is one of his enemies, right?
[00:42:13] And his name was Shimei, son of Gerah.
[00:42:18] And he cursed as he came out, cursing at the king.
[00:42:23] Well, he pelted David and the king's officials with stones.
[00:42:28] Now remember, David's pretty good with a stone.
[00:42:31] So this is a bad idea.
[00:42:32] Though all the troops in the special guard were on David's right and left.
[00:42:36] In other words, he could have done something about it.
[00:42:38] And as he cursed, Shimei said, Get out!
[00:42:42] Get out, you murderer, you scoundrel!
[00:42:45] The Lord has repaid you for all the blood you shed in the household of Saul, in whose place you have reigned.
[00:42:50] God is getting you back.
[00:42:51] The Lord has given the kingdom into the hands of your son Absalom.
[00:42:55] You have come to ruin because you are a murderer.
[00:42:59] He's planting all these seeds of doubt in David's mind.
[00:43:01] Then Abishai, one of David's guys, said to the king, Why should this dead dog curse my lord the king?
[00:43:07] Let me go over and cut off his head.
[00:43:10] But the king David said, What does this have to do with you, sons of Zeruiah?
[00:43:17] If he is cursing because the Lord said to him, Curse David.
[00:43:20] Who can ask, Why do you do this?
[00:43:23] David then said to Abishai and all his officials, My son, my own flesh and blood, is trying to kill me.
[00:43:30] In other words, I have bigger problems.
[00:43:32] I have bigger things to deal with than this dude.
[00:43:35] I came to remind you you have bigger priorities.
[00:43:39] You have too much to do to be offended by them.
[00:43:42] You have bigger fish to fry than this guy whose name I can't even pronounce.
[00:43:47] You're David.
[00:43:49] How much more than this Benjamite?
[00:43:51] Leave him alone.
[00:43:53] Let him curse.
[00:43:56] You want us to do something about it?
[00:43:57] No.
[00:43:58] Let him.
[00:43:59] Let him curse, for the Lord has told him to.
[00:44:03] It may be… Oh, this is an anointed verse.
[00:44:07] If you've been under attack and the Enemy is pelting you with rocks
[00:44:11] and Stones.
[00:44:13] It may even be coming at the expense of your own dignity, and you are asking yourself, What do I do about this attack?
[00:44:20] David said, It may be that the Lord will look upon my misery and restore to me his covenant blessing instead of his curse today.
[00:44:29] In other words, what David is saying is that he cannot curse what God has already blessed, so let him.
[00:44:38] He cannot destroy what has God's DNA.
[00:44:42] He cannot steal what God has spoke.
[00:44:46] He cannot negate what God has established.
[00:44:50] He cannot cancel out what God has called.

[00:44:54] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]:
How many different ways do you need me to say it to get you to see?
[00:44:58] It won't work!
[00:45:00] Let him come.
[00:45:01] Let the flood rage.
[00:45:03] God will lift up a standard.
[00:45:05] It won't work.

[00:45:07] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_01]:
Don't let the attack distract you.
[00:45:09] Don't let it get you out of your character.
[00:45:11] Don't let it get you out of your joy.
[00:45:13] Don't let it get you out of your peace.
[00:45:15] Sit there and whistle a worship song if you can't sing one.
[00:45:19] Lift your toe if you can't lift your hands.
[00:45:22] Do a body weight squat if you can't do a real one.
[00:45:25] Do something, but whatever you do, remember that if it started with God, it is sustained by God, and there is nothing the Enemy can plant.
[00:45:36] Jeremiah said,
[00:45:37] Before I was born, he called me and set me apart.
[00:45:41] That means I know the Enemy has been busy in your life.
[00:45:44] He has been speaking to you.
[00:45:46] He has been sabotaging you.
[00:45:48] He has been distracting you, trying to get you off your course, trying to get you out of your flow, trying to get you out of your calling, trying to get you out of your nature, trying to get you out of your kindness, trying to bring you back to bitterness.
[00:46:00] There's one thing the enemy should have realized he didn't realize, and he would have saved his energy and realized the weeds weren't worth planting.
[00:46:12] You have to remember, no matter what the enemy plants in your life, God got there first.
[00:46:29] He prepares a table for you in the presence of your enemies.
[00:46:35] So let the Devil try, because it must be that if God isn't removing those weeds… How many can picture some weeds that are in your life as I speak this word?
[00:46:47] Every weed-free person run to this altar right now, because you have the weed of delusion.
[00:46:59] Am I right, man?
[00:47:00] The one thing about it, Graham… Check this out, G. The type of weeds that were growing, you couldn't tell they weren't wheat until they had grown a little bit.
[00:47:10] They looked exactly the same until the head came up.
[00:47:13] Then they're like, Oh, no.
[00:47:15] This is not wheat.
[00:47:15] This is a weed.
[00:47:18] Sometimes you don't know.
[00:47:22] I'm never going back to the way I was.
[00:47:26] Look at what the Lord has done.
[00:47:28] I'm never going back to the way… I love the video of me and all the kids just screaming at the camera, but what if they were singing it just for real, though?
[00:47:39] Look at what the Lord has done.
[00:47:42] I'm never going back, but I'm still going to cuss.
[00:47:45] You know what I'm saying?
[00:47:48] Look at what the Lord has done.
[00:47:51] I'm never going back, but I'll still get drunk.
[00:47:54] Because what we're saying is, Look at what the Lord has done.
[00:47:59] I'm never going back, but I'm still going to lust.
[00:48:02] You know, just whatever y'all struggle with.
[00:48:05] The fact is, what's really going on in our hearts sometimes doesn't match what's coming out of our mouths.
[00:48:15] We really do want to grow.
[00:48:18] We really do want to be free, and we really do want to be more loving, but the Enemy isn't going to stand by and watch you grow without attempting to plant something alongside your destiny that will disrupt it.
[00:48:36] I just want to remind you that the attack is a distraction.
[00:48:41] God knew when he planted you that what he gave you was stronger than what would come against you Look at what the Lord has done in your life Look how far he has already brought you
[00:49:05] How many can say, I have a testimony?
[00:49:07] God has done so much in my life.
[00:49:09] It's amazing.
[00:49:11] You would say that?
[00:49:15] But it came with weeds, didn't it?
[00:49:18] And you have been believing the lie lately that you have got to get rid of all the weeds before you can enjoy the wheat.
[00:49:25] It's a lie.
[00:49:27] I come against it.
[00:49:29] I break the spirit of depression off of your soul that has been telling you that you cannot worship while you still have weeds.
[00:49:37] We all have weeds.
[00:49:39] It would surprise you what the person next to you is struggling with.
[00:49:44] And just because you can't see the weeds doesn't mean they're not real.
[00:49:50] But have you come to a point in your life where all you are seeing in this season is the weeds?
[00:49:57] Have you got one kid that is in trouble and you have failed to appreciate the two that are doing good?
[00:50:02] That means you have become too weed-focused.
[00:50:09] Have you got nine things in your body that are working well, but the one thing that is not working right just causes you to obsess and you are googling every possible thing that might be wrong with you and taking out every life insurance policy because you got a headache one Thursday.
[00:50:26] Are you letting one headache really make you stop believing that God is my healer and that God is my sustainer and that God is my source?
[00:50:36] I'm telling you, whatever the Enemy plants in your life is not more powerful than what God planted.
[00:50:43] The Bible said he planted good seed.
[00:50:48] I'm good seed and all things work together for the good of those who love the Lord and are called according to his purpose so this week I want you to think a little bit less about the weeds and a little bit more about the wheat because when the passage starts we've got wheat and we've got weeds
[00:51:07] But at the end of the passage, one is going to be burned and one is going to be in the barn.
[00:51:13] I came to declare today the fire will not burn you.
[00:51:17] You're going to the barn, baby.
[00:51:19] You belong to God.
[00:51:20] You are God's child.
[00:51:22] You are God's planting.
[00:51:24] You are God's oak.
[00:51:26] You are God's masterpiece.
[00:51:28] I belong to God.
[00:51:30] Try your best, Devil.
[00:51:32] It won't work.

[00:51:33] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]:
As a matter of fact, my God might use the thing you are using to curse me and bless me even better.
[00:51:41] God might do something out of this, so go ahead and hit me with your best shot, but everything you do has to go through the cross of Jesus Christ, and he'll begin a good work.

[00:51:58] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_01]:
We'll be faithful.
[00:52:00] To complete it.
[00:52:01] Stop judging stuff before God is done.
[00:52:05] I asked one parent the other day.
[00:52:06] They said, the kid that gave me the most trouble ended up bringing me the most blessings.
[00:52:12] You can't judge this thing while it's still growing.
[00:52:15] You can't label this thing while it's still in process.
[00:52:18] You cannot categorize your life based on the way you feel right now, and you cannot quit 11 days into January just because it's mixed in 26.
[00:52:28] Nah, baby.
[00:52:29] The Lord is at my right hand.
[00:52:32] The Lord stood by my side.
[00:52:34] Many deserted me.
[00:52:35] God never did.
[00:52:37] I got battles.
[00:52:38] I got blessings.
[00:52:40] I got wheat.
[00:52:41] I got weeds.
[00:52:42] I got goodness.
[00:52:44] I got mercy.
[00:52:45] And they follow me all the days of my life.
[00:52:51] So all I wanted to tell you today is don't let the attack
[00:52:58] Distract you.
[00:53:01] That's what it is.
[00:53:02] It's a distraction.
[00:53:04] You have been growing.
[00:53:06] You've got what it takes to grow.
[00:53:08] You've got what it takes to make this decision.
[00:53:11] You have got what it takes to do the job.
[00:53:13] You've got what it takes to learn the skills.
[00:53:15] You've got what it takes to do the inner work and get some healing.
[00:53:18] You've got what it takes because you've got God.
[00:53:23] You're in the field he wanted you to be in.
[00:53:29] God knew there was going to be a fight when he put you in that field.
[00:53:34] Don't tell me he didn't.
[00:53:36] He's God.
[00:53:38] I'm built for it.
[00:53:51] You know what I almost called the message, bro?
[00:53:54] I almost called it, Don't Burn Your Bread.
[00:54:01] don't burn your bread the wheat has the potential in it to be bread if you don't pluck it up and throw it into the fire if you don't give up on what it can be because of what it is right now and what's against it don't burn your bread i didn't call it that i almost called the message this is my other almost called the message
[00:54:29] Look at your neighbor and say, Don't pluck it up.
[00:54:38] But I decided that I would just tell you, Stand to your feet.
[00:54:45] Don't let the attack distract you, because if you don't let it distract you, it can't destroy you.
[00:54:56] The Word of God is incorruptible.
[00:54:58] You've been born again by imperishable seed.
[00:55:00] Don't let it distract you.
[00:55:04] You make an advance, you get attacked.
[00:55:08] You get attacked, you get distracted.
[00:55:10] You get distracted, you get destroyed.
[00:55:12] But if you can focus on where God is growing you… Put your hand over your heart.
[00:55:20] Say, This is good soil.
[00:55:22] Say, This is God's soil.
[00:55:25] There's something that God spoke to you that you haven't really been able to get in touch with lately because you've been so distracted.
[00:55:31] you have been so distracted it has been a long long time since you've been able to have clarity about what God spoke to you and you found your broken focus leading to a lack of peace now as it always happens but if we can get back to the God who put it in you to begin with you are going to survive whatever attack the enemy sends against it it can't be stronger than God it can't be stronger than his word it can't be better than him it can't be bigger than him it's not possible
[00:56:00] But you've been distracted.
[00:56:03] So now, Lord, our hearts are turned to you.
[00:56:13] Our hearts are yours.
[00:56:17] Our lives are yours.
[00:56:21] Our dreams are yours.
[00:56:22] Our plans are yours.
[00:56:24] Our future is yours.
[00:56:28] I thank you for where you planted me as a seed, God.
[00:56:32] I thank you for where you planted each and every one of these people.
[00:56:36] I thank you for the gifts you gave them, the abilities you gave them, the talent you gave them, the personality you gave them, the unique struggles and challenges that have formed them and forged them in the fire of trials to make them strong and ready for what they're going through now.
[00:56:48] They will not burn.
[00:56:50] They'll be like those Hebrew boys who went into the fire and said, even if God doesn't get us out, he'll join us right up in it.
[00:56:58] I'm good seed.
[00:57:00] I'm good seed.
[00:57:03] Lord, I want to pray today for the person who has never placed their faith in you.
[00:57:09] Would you just join me in this prayer as a church?
[00:57:11] I'm going to pray for someone who needs to give their life to Jesus Christ.
[00:57:14] Right now, it is very possible that the reason God brought you here today or the reason you joined us online is for this moment.
[00:57:23] You see, it's not by might nor by power that we become strong in the Lord.
[00:57:29] The seed was good because of who planted it.
[00:57:33] It's time for you to stop playing around with your life and waiting on one day when it's more convenient to live for God.
[00:57:41] No.
[00:57:41] Now is your moment of salvation.
[00:57:44] Today is your moment of change.
[00:57:48] I don't want you to face the fire of judgment.
[00:57:51] I don't want you to live your life apart from God.
[00:57:53] Neither does God, and that's why he sent Jesus, the perfect seed.
[00:57:58] The one who gave his life on the cross and rose again that you could have life.
[00:58:03] Now, in this moment, I want to pray with you.
[00:58:06] The Bible says that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
[00:58:14] It's not by works.
[00:58:16] It's by grace you are saved, through faith.
[00:58:19] Right now, if you'll pray this prayer and mean it with your heart, God will hear you and God will save you, and you will be born again.
[00:58:27] This can be your new beginning.
[00:58:29] We're going to pray out loud, repeating after me, as a church, for the benefit of those who are coming to Christ in this moment.
[00:58:36] Repeat after me.
[00:58:37] Heavenly Father, today is my day of salvation.
[00:58:45] I am a sinner in need of a Savior, and I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Savior of the world.
[00:58:57] And today I make Jesus the Lord of my life.
[00:59:02] I believe he died that I would be forgiven and rose again to give me life.
[00:59:10] I receive this new life.
[00:59:14] This is my new beginning.
[00:59:17] I am a child of God on the count of three shoot your hand up if you prayed that one two three i want to celebrate with you praise the lord praise the lord that's beautiful praise the lord online you can just put it in the comments i receive jesus come on let's clap our hands all over the room everybody everybody everybody
[00:59:45] Come on, let's thank God for all the decisions that were made today.
[00:59:50] God is so good.
[00:59:53] Well, campus pastors, you can have it.
[00:59:56] Grab hands with the person next to you here at Ballantyne.
[00:59:59] Look at them and tell them, don't pluck it up, because God is not through with you yet.
[01:00:07] Another day to be in the presence of God.
[01:00:10] Come on, Holly.
[01:00:10] I ain't got no hand to hold.
[01:00:14] It's going to be an amazing year in your life, babe.
[01:00:19] God is going to give you wisdom, strength, encouragement, stamina.
[01:00:26] God is going to do that for each and every one of these people we pastor to.
[01:00:31] Look at your neighbor and say, God is going to do that for you too.
[01:00:37] Tell him he's going to meet you.
[01:00:40] He's going to fill you.
[01:00:43] He's going to carry you.
[01:00:44] He's going to keep you.
[01:00:49] Tell them you're going to grow.
[01:00:51] Come on, tell them like a trainer.
[01:00:53] You're going to grow.
[01:00:55] Tell them like they need to do two more reps. Tell them you're going to grow.
[01:00:59] Look at them and shout.
[01:01:05] Don't let the attack distract you.
[01:01:08] It's a sign you're on course.
[01:01:10] It's a sign you're significant.
[01:01:12] It's a sign God has got you.
[01:01:15] Now unto him who is able to do immeasurably more than you ask, think, or imagine according to his power that works mightily in us, to him be glory.

[01:01:32] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_02]:
Through Christ Jesus in the church now and forever, say amen and say amen again.
[01:01:42] Goodbye.
[01:01:43] See you next week.

[01:01:45] [SPEAKER SPEAKER_01]:
